    1. First Entry: An Old Dream

      by , 11-11-2013 at 06:16 AM
My first journal entry and I actually have no new dreams to report. I guess I've been complaining so much about wanting a break from dream recall that my subconscious actually gave me a break. I've been dreaming but it's fuzzy when I wake up.
I know that sounds a little arrogant doesn't it? Complaining about dream recall. I apologize. I know most people on here WANT to remember their dreams. I've been remembering mine every night since I can remember so a night without remembering them would be a godsend. Most of them are very action/monsters/aliens/fighting so they can be emotionally exhausting. There have been many nights I've woken up shaking. Even though I may remember my dreams naturally, after reading posts and DJs I realize I haven't done a lot to control my dreams. Super powers yeah, but actually affecting the people and creatures and environment. That is something I've never really focused on. I'll try to start doing that. It might actually help the dream content.

Since this is my first post though I did want to write about a dream. There are many that have stuck with me for one reason or another, so I wanted to talk about one of those.

Hmmmm...ok here is a less depressing one.

I was on a space station, with my choir class of all things. This dream was from at least 5 years ago. There were three species on board and each had its own quarters. There were humans, some human-looking species except they were all breathtakingly beautiful, and an amphibious species (think monster of the deep lagoon, but tall, trim, and sassy.) I was running down one of the corridors and saw one of the amphibians walking my way. I couldn't tell the sex. It was a forest green in color and wearing a neon pink speedo. The reason for this was because, like frogs, their skin secreted a mucus and so they didn't wear clothes, except for neon speedos apparently. Also, if humans touched their skin it would give us a rash so I tried dodging past the sashaying (and literally he/she was working it) amphibian but accidentally bumped arms.

I fell into a duct and rolled down into a compartment of some sort. I had a little red rash on my arm but no further damage.

      Dream skip.

The next thing I knew I was in the "gorgeous humanoids" part of the ship. It reminded me of an old English countryside with a big manor, except we were in a ship. (Size is trivial I suppose.) They were all dressed to the nines and having some kind of party. Perhaps a tea party? One of the males caught sight of me and wanted to have me. (A pet? A wife? I couldn't tell.) So the rest of the dream was me trying to get away from him. XD The worst part was my best friend, who was in the dream, had a crush on him. It was a horrible love triangle awkwardness thing with me running from him and he running from my friend. I think back on it now and it was pretty funny.
    2. Magic, It Happens

We were at a place that resembled Hot Topic, but it wasn't a store, it was the home of a race, a race that horded mainly magical objects. I was there with Kyle and another boy, perhaps Tristan or Linkster, and some others may have been with us at some point.
The "people" living there, though human in appearance, were certainly something else, something alien. They started out as hospitable as could be, but quickly proved to be manipulative and devious. They would not let us leave.
We had to fight our way out, or rather, I did. Kyle and friend made it outside and I then proceeded to make several trips back to retrieve our belongings as well as some others that looked useful. Kyle had a huge pile of what appeared to be trading cards which the race's leader had taken, presumably because of their magical properties, and the stupid things took me two trips to save. Kyle was relieved to see them, but he was being too useless for me to care.

A child needed to be created. In a bathtub was a clear liquid in which he would be born. Next to it were two loofahs, one of which contained the DNA of the parents, and one of which contained unknown DNA. I placed both into the tub, but nothig happened. A young man who was with me stepped into the tub. I knew him, but I don't believe I've ever seen him before in my life. He knew, apparently, how this worked, and had Will step into the tub with him. I closed the curtain, because often in dreams what keeps things from working is that I'm staring at them. A few seconds later though, Will told me to open the curtain, that I had to see it. I did, and before my eyes a child of about four was growing out of nowhere. It was amazing to watch. Another few moments of this and it was finished. A strong little blonde boy stood there in the tub. The young man said that he was made from four different people's DNA, but that he was to be my brother.

I can fly. I can always fly. It's my favorite thing to do. In a field with my friends I was demonstrating my skill, and trying to teach them.
    3. The underwater alien base.

      by , 09-26-2012 at 06:12 PM (Zechariah's Dream Journal)
Last night I had a dream that I was in a city that was actually a mixture of Tustin and North Long Beach, California. The first couple scenes I recall, I was talking to my brother Jeremy. I don't remember what we were talking about, but the next thing I know- I'm headed towards a group of our friends. I'm walking right behind our friend Vinny, but Vinny won't seem to slow down for some reason. He starts ducking in behind walls and making it into a game of hide and seek. I finally seem to catch up with him and lean up against a wall surrounding wherever we were at the time. I notice that a few of my other friends were here, this was were I intended to go in the first place. I start being ridiculed by my friends about being bad at hide and seek, and I return to them that I wasn't... even playing. They went on about how I touched the wrong wall, that wall wasn't the base. I honestly insist I wasn't playing, lol. The normal playful namecalling commenses, and the dream shifts somewhat to where we're all standing on top of a jungle gym. (I guess that was a sign that this scene was a childish one.)
So I begin to climb down from the jungle gym. But, the thing that I'm climbing down was like one I've never seen in real life. It was an orange piece of metal sprouting in all different minute directions. It was actually very entertaining to climb down.
So I got down, and took off across the play ground- back to my friend's house. I got to a house that belonged to a friend of a friend. My good friend John was there, and we were outside in the backyard having a few cigerettes with the guy who owned the house. We just talked for awhile, and then walked out in the front yard. In the front driveway I noticed two sleeping bags opened up like they had just been in use. There was a pack of smokes laying on one of them that I picked up to inspect, but then put back down. Later I thought to myself, that's probably what that guy was looking for.
"Where you looking for that pack laying on the sleeping bag?" I asked. "Oh damn, yeah. Thanks man." He said and ran over to pick them up. Right about then John was ready to leave, so I decided it was time for me to head out too. Then my sister was with me out of nowhere, and it was time for her to leave to- so the rest of the dream was us on our way home. First we took a taxi to the subway station, and the last scene of the dream was me reaching into my pocket and only having a one. The taxi driver started slowly pulling away but I knocked on the back of his car and said "Hold up, man."
Rose let me borrow five bucks to give him a tip, cause he was nice as shit. He thanked me very kindly and we took off.

The dream I had after my WBTB alarm went of was a bit more bizzare. Jeremy and I were being held captive by two unhuman humanoid things. They weren't aloud to harm us but they weren't aloud to let us go. So we weren't that scared, it wasn't a nightmare. It was just strange and interesting. I remember twice were taken down in a transport to a small underwater base of operation. When we got to a certain point close to the base after we had been circling it waiting for deploy long enough- our individual bodies were encased in a hard bubble pod that transported us directly to the bay of the base. I remember the bubble pods very vividly, they made me very nervous. They were of some strange technology that doesn't exist, so I didn't know how they worked. It honestly felt like they might miss and I might just float off in the water. But both times it went right up into the ship. The ship was narrow, I remember. We followed the weird alien creatures around. They were about as tall as us or a bit taller. Their skin was a grey color, or grayish blue because of the water. They were a lot wider than us though, very firm and stout body shapes- with differently shape heads. We all walked into the main computer room, it was fascinating. I didn't pay much attention to what they were doing up front, I was looking at the ground. I noticed Jeremy started stepping on all of these little tiles on the ground and they were lighting up as if they were imbueing him with some kind of ability. Like if you stepped on a power-up in a video game. I began to look around, seeing a huge amount of little icons of a huge variety of gaming character abilities. One I specifically remember (Forgive me for being a nerd), was the Poke'mon Gengar's ability to hypnotize people into falling asleep. I grabbed that one, just incase we needed some action tools. I honestly don't remember much after that few minutes of looking around at the abilities and icons. Most of them didn't work, so I didn't fixate on them much. I'm pretty sure my alarm went off shortly after.
