    1. The Bed Nook in the Sky and Vacation Time

      by , 05-19-2016 at 12:59 PM (Krista's Dream Journal)
      Dream - Lucid

Something about someone, some TV star, I want to say the guy who plays Dr. Karev on Grey's, jumping from the hangar of a huge plane on some sort of board. I am not sure what the goal of this was, but I saw it happening from behind the guy. It was sunny and bright out, and remains so throughout the dream.

At some point, I saw myself in a two piece bathing suit, looking sooooooooo thin and pre-baby (god I miss that!).

I was having a flashback. I was up in the air, going toward the foot of this long, huge bed with a dark, royal red comforter that was in the sky inside some sort of aircraft. I climbed onto the big bed and into the aircraft. As I entered, I heard my voice say
"Isn't it a cute little nook?"
Inside, I saw myself all cuddled up watching TV in this huge bed. It was indeed a cute little nook and it looked perfectly cute and comfy. I was pre-baby and pre-marriage. I was so happy and smiling, cuddling with a blanket that I had when I was little, though in the dream I was definitely in my 20's. I feel like it was supposed to be shortly before getting married, maybe a year or so. I looked so relaxed and happy. I knew I was on vacation at the beach.

There was more to this one, but this is all I remember.

      ~

I was with my mom and some others, maybe my sister-in-law. I think we were all on vacation. We were inside somewhere, but I didn't want to be there because my shows were about to all come on TV in a block. I took one of the cars we drove to wherever we were back to the (hotel?). I was in a room with either one or two beds facing a television. It resembled a hotel room we had on vacation when I was a kid once. Once there, I was talking to some blonde guy that was around my age about whoever he had a crush on. He was sitting on the bed. I thought maybe he liked me, as I thought he was quite cute, but it wouldn't devastate me if he wasn't into me. He was also giving my something, some sort of furniture that had a lot of his things in it. He told me as soon as it was cleaned out I could have it. I was going through some of the things.

We were then walking towards a beach I believe. It was sunny and bright. He was in front of me. He was wearing swim trunks. I was guessing his crush, and I guessed two guy names, the first Justin, the second Kyle, both guys I worked with IWL. I thought maybe he seemed kinda offended that I had mentioned men, though to be honest, I could only see him shake his head when I mentioned the men, and I couldn't figure out why I had mentioned men myself. I then mentioned Jessica. He said something about her, though not sure what.

I then saw him in a pool with some other people.

I then saw myself in a full-length mirror in a bathing suit, another two-piece, this time with higher-waisted bottoms and my body was definitely post-baby. I didn't think I looked as bad as I imagined I would. At some point, I saw myself wet in the maternity bathing suit I bought IWL, though there were some differences in design and color.

I realized then that I had not watched the first one of my shows, some reality show (trash TV I don't watch IWL). My mom was somehow asking me about what happened, because she followed the show herself, but couldn't watch it since she was out. I don't remember what I told her. I was back at the hotel at some point, possibly getting ready to watch the remaining shows in the block.

    2. Nap Time with Lion

I'm laying in bed next to my girlfriend, just relaxing in the time before I fall asleep. She's already asleep, so I try not to move much and wake her up. Then her pet lion jumps up in bed with us! It's huge, but not very ferocious. But it does step on my solar plexus with a single paw and it's really heavy. I squirm a little, and it steps somewhere else, then lays down next to me. It's still pretty comfortable here, so I close my eyes and let sleep take its sweet time.

Then as I think I fall asleep, I wake up! No lion.

I would really benefit from more RCs...
    3. A Personal Lesson in Reality Checks

I am listening to one of my favorite bands through earphones, and take the earphones off to do something else, but the music remains at the same volume. I check, and I am still wearing the earphones. I take them off again, being extra sure that I removed them. Holding them in my hand, looking right at them, the music is still at the same volume. I also feel them in my ears at the same time. I drop the pair I'm holding and feel another pair in my ears again.

My room mate comes up to me to tell me something, but I can't hear her over the music. I take the earphones out, but the music is still just as loud and I can't hear her over it. I focus really intently on reading her lips, but only get part of what she's saying this way. I take the earphones out several times as she is speaking, but the music never gets quieter.

Maybe I'm dreaming? I pinch my nose and cannot breathe. I look at my frame of reference, notice my nose is slightly visible as usual, as well as my face around my eyes. I try to put my finger through my hand, it won't go through. I look at my hands, I have the normal number of fingers: 4 and a thumb on each hand. "I guess I'm just going crazy then" I conclude, still unable to stop the music. I wonder if I am just unable to remove the headphones and am hallucinating my attempts to get them off, or if I am just hearing the music in my head without headphones....

In either case, the music is awesome, so I don't really mind it at all. I sing along for a bit, realizing I don't know the words, I let the song continue. I figured I would know the words if it's in my head, but I don't. I keep taking the earphones out, only to hear the music just the same, and to immediately find the earphones are still in my ears.

A large dog is sleeping nearby. Now it is a horse, the size of a huge dog. It has wedged itself comfortably behind some furniture and wants to get out. I move the furniture a little, and it squeezes through, now in dog aspect again. Turning around, it squeezes back into the furniture, between the frame of a table with no top. It is a large fluffy dog at this point, it lays down, completely comfortable and relaxed. I feel relaxed just looking at it curl up over there.

I wake up and realize I fell asleep with my headphones on, playing the exact same music. Complete continuity from the dream music to the music I'm hearing now.

Maybe I woke up briefly for the RCs, and due to the continuity of music, didn't know I was awake? A crucial element was missing from my RCs however: Truly believing this might in fact be a dream. Instead of this, I was merely wanting it to be a dream.
    4. Yelled at by Demons

I'm laid under the covers on my bed in a very comfortable position. I was also very sleepy and didn't feel like getting out of bed. At times it felt like I went to sleep for a minute and then woke up. I laid there for a few more minutes and heard some weird noises entering the room. I closed my eyes and started to feel something scary coming up to me, like Spider Man. All of a sudden I hear a loud scream in front of me. I covered both my ears with my hands but the screams still annoyed me.

I continued to go through this for about 3 more times. I'm guessing it was sleep paralysis, so I just tried to remain as calm as possible. I thought about trying to go to sleep to see if that can get me a lucid dream but when I did, I woke up.
