Fragment of Dreams
12.07.2010Fish in the pod (Non-lucid) NON-DREAM DREAM LUCID This was a pretty awesome night. My old record of dream recalled in a single night was 8, I rose that up to 11. Only one of this was a fragment. Three of these were lucid and on one of them I completed one of the Tasks of the Year. Sixth of the night: - Dream recall. - World Cup. - Writing down dreams. - Daylight. - At the park while someone says, "You can fish in the pod better." Missed Dream Signs: - Unknown. What I would have done if lucid: - Unknown.
Absolutely horrible recall, but I post what I can. 1. I'm playing a rock concert in an elementary school. I remember it's very cheerily decorated, which clashes somewhat with the music I decide to perform. 2. I miss a Monday softball game for my research station's team. 3. I find myself walking down the halls of a local college, where I meet my old cello teacher. I continue, then meet scores of people from my research station. They confront me about my behavior at a Saturday night party, and my mom finds out about my transgressions. I feel horrible.

09.02.2010Disturbed (DILD) NON-DREAM DREAM LUCID Had a bizzare dream this morning. I think I must have been in a terrible mood (in the dream) when I became lucid each time, and just wanted to wake up. I was on a country lane at night, halfway up a cliff. As soon as I became lucid I dove straight off the cliff for no real reason I can remember. I landed on a road exactly the same (it seemed like the exact same road). So I got up and threw myself in front of a car. There were a couple of other attempts at self-destruction which were a massive waste of time, looking back. Most just lost me lucidity.
06.02.2010Driving Practice (Non-lucid) NON-DREAM DREAM LUCID I've only ever driven a car once before, a couple of years ago, and I'm due to start lessons soon, so it was on my mind. I was driving down a not-very-busy road, but kept stalling. I remembered how to start the car and get it going. Although I can't remember now what order I did any of it in. I put the gearstick in neutral, held down the clutch, turned the key, then eased on the accelerator and let out the clutch... or something like that. The car started anyway.
02.02.2010It's a Strange World (DILD) NON-DREAM DREAM LUCID I tried a WILD in the early afternoon because I was knackered from getting up way too early. I ended up just falling asleep normally though, but I got some rolling sensations later on. I got up from my bed and started having a conversation with my friend Jamie, who was pacing up and down in my room for some reason. I turned towards the window, and got the strange impression that he was going to attack me. I also got very dizzy out of the blue. Something didn't seem quite right, so I thought for a second, then realised this must be a dream! Right away everything started to fade out. I don't know what happened. I wasn't excited enough to wake myself up, but I did anyway. Later on, I dreamt that I was lying in bed with my eyes closed, trying to DEILD. Little did I know I was actually still properly asleep. I could see a computer screen through my eyelids, but I convinced myself I had just looked at it in real life and now I was just recalling it. At one point I opened my eyes a crack, and saw the screen much clearer. (Although I thought it was real life) If I had just gone with that I would have had a sweet lucid, but no such luck. EDIT: I've been on a bit of a dry spell lately and my DJ is gathering virtual dust, so I might type up a couple of weird lucid/OBE's I had about a year ago- the ones which caused me to find this site.
27.01.2010Missed Opportunity! (Non-lucid) NON-DREAM DREAM LUCID This dream was long and detailed, but I don't have a lot of time, so I can't write it all out. One part which stood out for me was the most ridiculous way I've missed becoming lucid ever. Idiot My dad was giving me a lift to my friend Hugh's house, which is about a 15 minute drive away. He somehow got there after 30 seconds, having only turned two corners and gone via a town 60 miles away. Later in the dream, I was telling some friends about the ride, "It was amazing, like magic or something!" I laughed. My own stupidity astounds me...
25.01.201030-Seconder (WILD) NON-DREAM DREAM LUCID I've been going through a mega dry spell lately, so today I decided to kick-start myself and get up way earlier than usual. I went back to bed at about 12:30pm for a WILD. I lay on my back for a long while, I couldn't tell how long, then switched to my left side which was much more comfortable and conducive to sleep. I eventually had a hazy FA, as if I had been sleeping with my head in my hands on a stool in my bodroom. My mum called me from downstairs and asked if I would come down. What struck me as weird was her saying, "Don't worry, send me a message if you're close to getting into a dream!" This would of course be impossible, so I looked at my hand to see about seven fingers. I was ecstatic to have broken my dry spell. The clarity wasn't great, and for some reason my body was stuck in the same fetal position I had fallen asleep in. I tried to stand up straight but fell over to my left onto a TV which isn't usually there. I closed my eyes and tried to imagine being somewhere else. Something I always worry about when closing my eyes in a dream is that it seems too close to having my real eyes closed in bed and it might remind me of my actual body, thus waking me up. I had a FA where I was half-asleep. I thought it might have been for real, but when I moved my leg, it seemed to be on top of my desk, moving items and loose change around. This would have meant that I had my head at the other end of the bed, so I recognised it as a dream. I woke up soon after from thinking about my real body too much. EDIT: 50th LD!
11.01.2010Floating on Air (Non-lucid) NON-DREAM DREAM LUCID This was an odd one. I'll say semi-lucid. I had just "woken up" from a lucid dream. I can't remember if it was actually a lucid dream or my subconscious had just planted that in my mind to be part of the dream plot. Anyway, I woke up in a very modern, open-plan house. Most of the walls had huge windows in them, or were just made of glass. There was a garden with palm trees outside, and it was night time. I thought about what a sweet dream I had just finished, and thought about trying to carry over the ability of flight into the real world. I wandered throughout the downstairs of the house, up and down small steps, gliding and floating a bit. I thought it wasn't as good as I had been doing in the dream, but I was doing some definite levitation. Strange how this didn't turn me properly lucid!
I was playing with Helium balloons at work and there were differnt things attached to it.
abridged, non-lucid, frag Playing a coin-op racer, this Scot challenges me. I start to kick his ass in the game. He grabs my arm and won't let go. I tell him let go, and play the damn game. He squeezes my upper arm even harder. I get behind him and put him in a full-naked choke and squeeze. He doesn't struggle for some weird reason. I am completely enraged. The alarm goes off. I HATE DREAMS LIKE THIS. Puts me in a bad mood.
1. My family and I are visiting my paternal-side grandparents. In our car, there's a weird bottle with the Joker's eyes, hair, and mouth on it, the idea being that you hold the empty bottle up in front of your face and it makes you look like said Clown Prince of Crime. For the lulz, I end up singing "no, he can't read-a my Joker face~" (despite how much I can't stand the actual song in waking life) When we get to the grandparents' house, I get a call from my friend that she's not going to pick me up for our vacation until a day later. I get remarkably upset. 2. Something about a machine that weaves incredibly soft T-shirts out of only a handful of cotton fluff. Threading the machine is a bit of a challenge, and you have to hold on to the end of the cotton throughout the entire process, but the results are cool. 3. Something about sneaking into a building through an air vent.
Damn, I remember much less of this dream than I thought I would in the middle of the night... It was at the end of a school term. For some reason everyone was either dressed as pirates or they actually WAS pirates, I don't remember. There was a lot of events involving me and people from the school that are very very faded now. I vaguely remember some form of staircase or something. Since it was at the end of the term everybody had done their game projects and there was something about them too. The following keywords I have forgotten about so much that I can't make out much of them: Stopped fight (I think I stopped some fight) Purple pirates (A pair of the pirates had purple shirts) Cup noodles (totally blank on this one, lol) affä (swedish word affär which means store, but it is lacking an r... I think I must have been tired xD)
11.07.2010Olive Oil Fragment (Non-lucid) NON-DREAM DREAM LUCID Two dreams tonight (plus one fragmented). Second one (fragmented): - Olive Oil Store. - Going somewhere. - Something going on with a client. Missed dream signs: - Can't recall any. The Olive Oil store should be a dream sign. What I would have done if lucid: - Leave the store. - Blast into oblivion the dancers if they were there. - Head for a Task of the Year.
A majority of this dream consisted of being a part of a sports team and the night before a big game the next day. I could not find the place to get my room key for a long time so I traveled all over to find it with no luck. I run into a family friend who is talking about me and embarrassing me while making a toast extremely intoxicated in the lobby. I am late getting into my room and look around it for a while. _______ I am outside and it has been snowing. There are thousands of people playing in it, and I spot some of my friends who have laid down a tarp so that we could slide down a hill on it. I try it but I get stuck. I look around, the snow is gone, and everyone else who was playing in the snow is gone. I was by myself on the tarp. _______ We are on a boat somewhere in a jungle and in the woods. A man spots a coyote out to me and a person sitting next to me in the boat. "You know, coyotes get eaten by wolves all the time" The man sitting next to me says. ________ I am in a van, all of a sudden the van stops, and the sliding door opens up. I get up off my seat and am about to step on the ground, until I look closer at the asphalt and notice it is moving like a liquid would. All of a sudden something clicks and I realize I am dreaming. After I become lucid, I hop down and get on all fours to kickstart a full transformation into a timber wolf so I can accomplish one of my lucid goals. The transformation, however, brought incredible pain to my face where the wolf snout was being contorted and broken outwards from my face. The pain was so unbearable that I thought I may have been feeling the pain in my real life body in bed while I was LDing, so I got spooked and forced myself to wake up before the transformation was even finished. Notes: Pain has been occurring randomly with my transformations now. Going to have to find a way to either not get spooked and deal with the pain, or take a "pain killer" before I begin a transformation from now on.
Starts out with bringing an extremely attractive gothic girl into my bedroom to watch TV. We are laying in bed when suddenly her clothes come off and she is lying naked beside me. I begin kissing her chest, and neck, and things start to get intimate. All of a sudden she starts crying, however, her tears are jet black (looked like pen ink). The black tears are smeared all over her naked body and the bed in which we were laying in. I try to console her the best I can, however, nothing seems to be working. Fast-forwards to an airport (dream sign!?). The very attractive gothic girl is by my side, and she begins running through the terminal as fast as she could while clutching onto my hand. "Why are we running?" I ask. "That guy!" She said as she screams and pointed towards a blonde haired guy in a red shirt and jeans with a dozen or so knives in his hand chasing us at full speed. Next thing I know, the man who is now chasing us is hurling his knives. I hear one or two wizz by head. Thats when something clicked in my head. "I am dreaming!" I decide to take the frightening situation into my own hands. I stop running, and do an RC with a DC that was wearing a green shirt with words on it, just to make sure of it. The DC whom I was staring at gave me an evil eye as I did an RC by looking at the words on his shirt and looking back at them. Yep, I was definitely dreaming. I turn around and stare at the man who was chasing me with throwing knives, and hold my ground. The man stopped running at a distance, and stared for a second before he hurled a knife at my stomach. While surprising myself at the same time, I quickly snag the knife out of the air before it was even close to touching me. I then break it in half in attempt to further scare the DC who was hurling knives. Now that I knew I was in complete control of my dream I was furious with this DC and could not wait to punish him for scaring the shit out of me. I sprinted full speed at the blonde haired DC and grabbed his throat with my hand and lifted him as high as I could off the ground. The DC who was now showing signs of choking and helplessness was flailing in the air as he dangled at the mercy of my raised arm. I forced the transformation of only my head this time to become a wolf, so I could continue to hold him in the air as I revealed my weapons to kill the DC. After my head had completely undergone the transformation, I put my muzzle up to his now helpless face as close as I could without touching him, and bared my wolf teeth and growled as loud as I could. Then, all of a sudden the dream world began getting hazy and fuzzy, and felt my real self in bed as I awoke. Notes: Another dream sign that could help me attain lucidity is airports, have seen them a lot in my DJs. I also need to continue to work on immediately attempting to spin or rub my hands to remain lucid and not wake up. LDs have not been lasting too long lately...
