The last couple nights I haven't had anything to record. I haven't really slept well since I just had some oral surgery done. So, hopefully I will start logging again soon.

Wow! My dream journal is acctually becoming a chore, because I'm startiong to remember so much they're becoming short stories.

This dream I don't remember a lot about. There were just a bunch of weird alien symbols that kept changing colors in front of my face.

My next dream took place over a weeks time, but I didn't live through all of the details. I brought my sister to cheer camp, and staayed for a little while to watch the opening show. Jerry Seinfeld walked out and started making fun of me so I left. Then at the end of the week Jerry had become transexual with flowing white hair and blue eye shadow. It was weird. Then he transformed back to himself and we talked for awhile and shook hands. Then he came with us in our family car. Then I woke up.

I'm not going into all of the details, but in short I was showing my friends from California around town.

I had a really good couple of dreams last night. One was long and really vivid. It seems that my dreams have been increasing in length ever since I joined dv.

Not very exciting. I was browsing iTunes in my dream and it made me take a quiz. I was hanging out around my house a few weeks later and a group assembled in some kind of cement room, and these machines gave us our results. My ex-girlfriend and I both recieved news that we had under-developed brains. This had me kind of upset. Then I woke up.

This next dream took place over the course of two days! I couldn't believe it when I woke up. It seemed like two day and I had only ben sleeping for a few hours. Well, to start off my dream I was at an airport with a group of student ambassadors I traveled with 3 years ago. This time we were headed to a tropical place like Key West or something like that. The plane took off at 12:00 A.M. So I slept through the red eye, and we landed at about 5:00 A.M. their time. we got off the plane and were walking through this outdoor shopping district with palm trees and a nice breeze. We walked over to the cruise terminal, and I started to mingle with some old friends. As we bored this old iron boat I saw some kids from my school in the group. I don't usually hang out with these kids, but I figured I should at least say hi. I walked with them for a while until a girl I used to like was around the next corner. I sat with her for awhile until I heard that the ship was leaving. I forgot my bag so I ranto my bags and got back on. Then I saw my best friend was in the same predicament we got back on and we didn't know where to put our things. So we stuffed them in this electical panel that read, "THE LARGEST BOAT ON EARTH - 1940." I was really surprised by that, and then we left to walk around the ship. We walked back to the outdoor mall ,and then we got into some trouble. we popped a circuit by putting our bags on the electric panel, and there was some rumbling on the ship. They took care of it, and we were off. I sat next to my friends from school and we watched this video as we put on life jackets. This boat moved at the same sppeds as a spped boat, and we watched the metal flex as they made tight turns in the movie. We saw them go through the panama canal at nuheard of speed. and then portage the boat through the last leg, because the canal had dried up. Then I woke up.

Not a bad night at all!

    4. August 2, 2009 Dream Log

      by , 06-22-2010 at 10:49 PM
Last night I had one really long and extremely vivid dream that I can remember. I would consider this a successful night just because this dream was so long.

My dream started off with me watching a varsity hockey game at my school. As the game got into the tenth minute of the second period the goalie got hurt. The coaches then called me down to the teams box. I tried to explain to the coaches that the last time I had ever played a game of hockey was in 4th grade, but they didn't care. I was in as the goalie. I did surprisingly well for playing varsity. So we won our first playoff game. I went home then and ate some dinner and hung out around the house watching myself on our school's T.V. station. The next day I went to the arena for round 2, but they said they didn't need me, because it was J.V. I watched their game, and my friend Steve was their goallie. The nets however were the size of soccer nets in J.V. So my friend was doing backflips and kicking above his head to make the saves, but from what I saw no one ever scored on him!

Well, I'm really happy with my progress in recollection, and I'm going to keep doing what I have been. Here's to more successful recollections!

    5. August 1st, 2009 Dream Log

      by , 06-22-2010 at 10:49 PM
      I actually had some dreams last night since I put my mind to it. I also have discovered a dream sign. A lot of times when I dream someone will talk to me and expect a response, but I become completely speechless and don't say anything at all. For example;

Last night I had a dream where my best friends mom called my house. I answer and say, "Hello?" My friend's mom replies with, "Hi Ryan! Is your mom there?" at this point I become speechless and don't reply.

In my second dream last night I was flying a helicopter, but that is really irrelevant.

Anyway, I think this could be a possible dream sign. I experience this in different settings and different dreams quite often. I just need to recognize it, and I think this could be an excellent way to become lucid. Another successful night!

    6. Long Time No Write

      by , 06-22-2010 at 10:48 PM
Well, I'm back from a cycling trip I was on and I'm ready to update this journal. I didn't experience any memorable dreams however while sleeping in the tent. Last night I did get lucky and I was able to recall that my dad had signed me up for the Minnesota Vikings in the NFL. I've never played football, but that wasn't an issue. I went to practice and then woke up. I know it's not much, but hey I'm back!

Last night was much more successful than the log proceeding this one. I was really happy, because I had an extremely long dream and to top it off I remembered it. I believe that I'm making a lot of progress when it comes to recall.

      Dream #1
My friend, my sister, and I are all in a small deck boat my grandparents used to own coming down Spirit Mountain and suddenly I appeared onboard the disney magic at the golden mickeys. Then I was at a Radison hotel, and I wanted to go swimming.

Yesterday, I wasn't available to post my dream, but it really didn't matter, because I didn't remember any. I do recall something vague about my friends from California, but that's it. I think it's because I got to bed later than I usually do (I was on a date with a girl I really like!!! ), and I wasn't exactly concentrating. Well, at least I have one more bad recall night out of the way!

      To Frostwyrm,
Although I don't think I'm really the person to ask, I don't think your age has anything to do with your recall. First off, before I drift off to sleep I try to concentrate and tell myself that I will remember my dreams. I find that I have the most success when I do that. Secondly, I would start a dream journal (if you haven't already) of everything you do remember, as soon as you wake up. This helps a lot, because usually I forget the dream in a few minutes. This should help strengthen the part of your brain that let's you recall your dreams.

      Happy Dreaming,
      Ryan

      by , 06-22-2010 at 10:46 PM
Last night was not as successful as the last few. But hey what can you do? I could only remember one dream, and in that one dream only little details, but it was the most vivid dream I think I may have ever had.

      Dream #1
I basically was with my parents down at the water front and my friend who is a magician comes along and wants to do some street magic. He is however smoking pot openly in public with a group of friends. I declined, and woke up.

Still working on my recall, but I really think my dream journal is helping!

      by , 06-22-2010 at 10:45 PM
Last night wasn't quite as successful in numbers as the last entry, but the two dreams I did have were a lot more vivid, and I was able to retain more detail.

      Dream #1
The dream began with me being at my house, and my dad asking me to go buy some water. I agreed, but I had no idea where I would go, because it was Thanksgiving Eve and everything was closed. To top it all off I was wearing a suit because it was prom night I drove for the longest time until I found that a holiday gas station that was open. I bought some water and there was my grandpa. I spoke with him for a short while and headed back to my car. On the way to my car it began to rain a lot. By the time I got to the car I was soaked. It took me awhile to find my house as the city I was in was a combination of Duluth and Superior. I woke up as I was driving down the freeway.

      Dream #2
This dream was extremely short, but I recorded it anyway. It was just me floating above a stage in a bar listening to my dad's friend play blues guitar.

I've begun to notice some possible dream signs. My grandparents have occurred two nights in a row also they are there on the eves of holidays. Another thing I've begun to notice is that both nights I ended my dreams floating above a stage watching a performance.

I think this dream journal is turning out to be very successful. I didn't think I'd be able to recall anything at all, but it seems to work.

For last night being my first time ever attempting to record my dreams I had surprising success. Although some areas were extremely vague and cloudy, I was really happy with the following results.

      Dream #1
*My two best friends and I are downtown at about 10:00 a.m. ( I think we spent the night in a log cabin in the middle of the city but I'm not sure.)
*Steve (my friend) and I eat breakfast without Ethan (my other friend).
*This makes Ethan kind of mad, but we continue on with the morning.
*We end up walking into a fast food joint and there is a ton of high school kids in there.
*Ethan ends up ordering food there.
      * I think we may have been there for McDonald's training, although I'm not quite sure.

      Dream #2
*In this dream my grandparents come over to my family's house to play cards.
*A fire breaks out up in the attic.
*I became really worried about our Halloween Decorations.
*Then I had a flashback to this happening before where we had saved all of the Halloween Decorations.
*My dad said it was too late to save anything, so we shut the door and continued to play cards.
*Then the paint above us began to boil.

      Dream #3
*The priest from my church comes down to my basement (What were we doing in the basement analytical side of my brain?) one night asking for money for the church.
*My sister, dad, and I all put like two dollars in this tin can he's carrying.
*Then all three of us realize we gave too much. So we ask for change.
      * The priest covertly shakes all of our hands giving us each a quarter back.

      Dream #4
*I'm floating above a stage watching a small crowd of people dance.
*On the right side of the stage there is male gladiator armor strewn about.
*In the middle of the stage were the group of synchronized dancers
      * On the left side of the stage there was female gladiator armor strewn about.

Pretty good for my first night!!!

    12. My Second Cousins Visit

      by , 06-22-2010 at 10:00 PM
Hey, tonight I had a dream. It started out with that I laid down in my bed and I was playing with my iPod touch. Suddenly I hear a knock on our door. I wonder who it can be since it is 1 am. I listen and hear that my parents open the door and welcome in a person. From the voice of the stranger I can hear that it is my second cousin Akar. I stay in the bed for 15 minutes, then I walked down the stairs to the kitchen, where my parents where sitting with Akar. I joined in their little chat while I grap something to eat. Then the dream was over. I have short dreams kind of often lately, want to have longer dreams, and of course lucid dreams.

    13. 06/22/10

      by , 06-22-2010 at 09:58 PM (Dreamscapes)
      New restaurant:

I was hired at a new restaurant in Sammamish. All the old people I worked with were there. The restaurant was completely different than normal and it looked really upscale. The manager kept getting on everyone's case to do better. I remember there was a lot of new food being served as well as the old stuff. It was not completely a new restaurant but a weird merge between the old and the new. Ashlee was working there and she was wearing a short skirt. We were alone in the back room and I slowly lifted her skirt and started grinding on her. She started smiling and I stopped because I knew what was going to happen later. I forgot about some customers that wanted a strawberry lime dessert and they started to complain.

Later Ashlee and I were in the back room having sex. She stopped and asked if I was liking the sex. I asked her why and she that she wasn't enjoying and we should try a different position. I started to get offended and the dream ended.

    14. That old, heavy feeling

by , 06-22-2010 at 08:40 PM (Languid Dreams)
Time for a nap, and as I fall asleep with the cats nestled around me, I feel like I am sleeping soundly. I hear someone call from the other room to come look at something, and when I try to stand, I become tangled in the sheets and start to stumble. I am turned around, backward, and falling slowly. I know that my head is going to hit the ground, but I can't bring my hands out from the blankets to catch myself. The world seems to me moving in slow motion, and i am heavy. Very, very heavy. I can see, and my eyes are open, but I keep trying to pull them open more, as it feels as though my eyelids are being pulled down from exhaustion.

      A man
(my boyfriend, I realized when I woke up) comes in, because I am calling for help, and I know him, but I don't know him. He watches me fall and when I am resting on my back on the ground, he says he doesn't know who I am. I think, and I realize that I don't know who I am, either. In an instant, my father is there, though I don't recognize him either. The confusion is overwhelming, and I wake myself up. I never quite wake up all the way, but fall back into the same dream. This time when I stand, I'm not tangled in the sheets, I just don't have control of my limbs, and that heavy sensation is there again, as though every point on my body is being pulled to the ground. I try to tell myself that I am dreaming, and when I do wake up, it takes several minutes to gain enough confidence to try to stand up next to the bed.

      The Visit (Non-lucid)

      NON-DREAM DREAM LUCID

I lay in bed, my brother on a palet on my floor. I just lay there, I can't sleep, I let my mind wander.

"Guess who's here!!!" Lori said in a quiet but excited voice as she walked into the room. (Lori is my great aunt Connie's daughter, my cousin.)

She was holding her daughter Tessa half asleep in her arms and Louis (her son) walked in behind her. It was late and I knew they had been on the road for 12 hours at least, so we didn't talk much. I hugged Lori after she laid Tessa in the bed next to me.

"Tessa & Tessa" Lori saiding smirking and sighing happily.

I chuckled. "I'm so happy you could come," I said after a moment, in a bit more serious tone. I and Lori exchanged understanding glances.

"I'm gonna go talk to your parents, I'll see you guys in the morning. Love you," she said after a moment and left quietly.

My brother and Louis played a board game in the other corner of my room quietly. I heard them debating softly over some aspect of the rules.

"Tessa & Tessa," I mumbled to my self looking at Tessa sleeping next to me. I let out laughing sigh and sunk back into my bed.

"Tessa, sweety, what time is it?" I heard Connie's voice.

      "Connie?" I mumbled dazed.
"...CONNIE!" I yeled in surprise, everything flooding back into my mind.

I woke up surprised that I had slept so deep that I didn't wake up when she first got out of bed. Though we did stay up all night talking, so I guess that explains it's self. XD
