Rock Throwing I'm at the DVA with Luke Ray and one or so other guys. I see Luke swinging on a tree, so I decide to run over and do the same. It's only a small tree that has no leafs on it. It's located towards near the road near the drains. The guys are throwing rocks to one another from a long distance away. I decide to pick up and rock or brick and throw it back to Luke. I'm impressed by the power I have when I threw it. I felt good about myself. I think I was also catching them as they were thrown my way, and was worried about the rocks hurting my hands as I caught them. Im in a shed with one of the guys I was with. I'm searching for rocks with him. I point out a few, which end up being bricks. He says it's too big, so I bang the rock on something which chips away at the rock. I hand it back and his happy with it now. The rock was actually a brick. Side Notes: EFT didn't seem as effective tonight. Trying to perfect the language
Had some non-lucids here and there over the passed few days. Nothing special or particular interesting enough to type up. For the dreaming competition though, I had a few Frags last night and one non-lucid recalled. May 17, 2013 Frags Series: DVA Dreaming Competition Dream Frag #1 (Nightmare Frag) I was at my grandpas house visiting. I remember looking at my leg at one point because there was something on it. Suddenly, my skin started peeling/shedding from my leg. It began to peel faster and faster in thin layers. I calmly showed some of the DCs in the room and they began to freak out. This caused me to freak out. I woke soon after this with my heart racing. Dream Frag #2 Was at alumni football practice. Some people, myself included, were wearing shoulder pads (unlike actual alumni practice), no helmets though. I remember bits and pieces of a few scattered plays, but thats about it. I woke up and some point then went back right back to sleep and had another football dream... May 17, 2013 Alumni Football Time! Series: DVA Dreaming Competition Me, Diddy, and Mike were at a large (unknown) practice field. It seemed to be the first day of a football practice and tons of random people were standing on the sidelines with us. The coach walked out and began listing off names. I knew there were going to be 2 different teams by the number of players there were. He began calling out names of some players to go stand with him. By the looks of the players, I could tell he was picking the "A-squad" players. I knew the coach had no idea who I was, so I simply walked over toward him in mid roll call. He stopped and said, "What the hell do you think you are doing?" I replied, "This is the team I'm going to be playing for." He looked a little surprised and said, "I haven't called your name, get back over there." I immediately looked at him, smiled, and said, "No. Believe me, you want me on this team. I'm staying here." He wasn't happy by my defiance, but I could tell he could see the confidence and was interested to see what happened. He asked me my name and added to the sheet of paper he was holding and marked out someone else's name. Diddy and Mike were called over soon after. We had defense and offense playing against each other. I was playing d-line and was moving all over the line, nose guard, tackle, end, etc. I broke through the weak side of the line and drilled their QB (who was a younger version of Allen Iverson), right as he released the ball. He never saw me coming as I hit him from the blind side, the ball duck-wobbled down field and was picked off by our corner. A few plays later, I shot the guard-center gap and hit the QB as he was trying to hand the ball off. They fumbled and I scooped it up. I proceeded to break several tackles and carry a guy on my back into the endzone for a defensive touchdown. The coach was yelling at the offensive line for their piss poor blocking, aka, complementing my play in a hidden manor (thats how football works). I knew the line was going to be pissed off and go extremely hard the next play. The tackle tipped me off that he was going to crash down and double team (he was leaning bad). I was head up on the guard. I took one hard jab step at the snap, popped the double team with my right shoulder and spun off the block to the right. Being the pissed off raging bulls that they were, they over-comitted to their double team block and were caught completely off-guard by my ricochet-type spin move. I spun right off them and into the backfield. The running back panicked when he saw me and tried to bounce outside. I was to close to him already and I lowered the boom right as he was trying to bounce outside. He got pummeled and go the breath knocked out of him as he landed flat on his back. A few plays later, I shifted from nose guard, all the way to the outside of the defensive end. I timed it pretty decent with the snap and luckily it was a pass play. The tackle wasn't ready for me and he just blocked our defensive end. The guard had time to react to me, but he was way to slow to come all the way out and block me effectively. So, I'm free rushing towatd the QB. He see me and tries to throw a quick pass, but I threw my hands up and tipped the pass straight into the air. I grabbed the QB, slung him to the side and caught the tip. I proceeded to take it to the house for my second defensive touchdown. The coach went ape shit and pulled me off the practice field. He shouted at me, "Thats enough out of you!" He then turned and yelled at the offensive line, "I can't believe I've got to pull a player off the field just so my QB can get some work in. Thats the sorriest blocking I've saw in all my years as a coach." And blah, blah, blah... There were a lot more profanities, but that is the gist of what he said. I was smiling and thinking to me self, "Now THAT is a first impression!" The guy beside me was laughing his ass off and put his hand on my shoulder pad. He said, "You've done got him all riled up now. That offensive line is going to hate you after the hell he puts them through today." I smiled and said, "I wouldn't have it any other way." The guy was a younger version of Anthony Spencer (the defensive end for the Dallas Cowboys). I shot the shit with for a bit. Moments later, Diddy, who was playing middle linebacker, got pulled off the field as well. He was a little irritated and said, "Why the fuck did he take me out?" Anthony laughed again and said, "It means your good. He saw enough out of you and is getting the other guys some work." I woke up as we were talking on the side line and watching Mike play QB.
This was the Aurora Borealis Task of the Month, and led to a really outstanding dream with some personal firsts. Some big ones for me were changing day to night and performing the task while the DC of a loved one (my son) accompanied me. Color legend: Non-dream Dream Lucid Lucid #36: Aurora Borealis Wife and I are sitting at our breakfast table chatting with RI, a high school friend that I haven't seen in a long time. I look at the clock, realizing that it's 1:10 and I'm ten minutes late for a #DVA chat session. Wife and I go upstairs without IR, leaving her just sitting at the table. (Rude, I know.) I'm about to join the #DVA chat when Wife says, "Shouldn't you show her out of the house?" I leave, and become lucid halfway down the stairs. The downstairs is different from my real house now. The floor has become shag carpet rather than hardwood and the ceiling is barely six feet tall, my head reaching right to the top of it. IR is still at the breakfast table but she just smiles and waves me on. My three-year-old son E is waiting for me at the back door, and I scoop him up in my arms, knowing that he would love to see the aurora borealis. I step outside and find that my back yard is either gone or has swollen to gigantic proportions. There's a huge barbecue going on to my left. Vividness is top-notch -- I literally cannot detect any difference in visual quality between what I'm seeing now and what I see in waking life. I walk on, passing a set of grills where a man in a red football jersey numbered "52" is turning over some burgers. His shirt is emblazoned with the words "UNCLE BO". I stare at the guy for a moment, a bit stunned by how real he looks. I perch my son on my shoulders and start running past the barbecue into a city. A long line of DCs is waiting in line for a movie or a show. I notice that C, someone that I haven't seen since high school is manning the ticket line. He smirks at me and shrugs his shoulders when I recognize him. I walk to the base of a skyscraper and look into the sunny sky. I need darkness for this Task of the Month so I tell my son, "It's getting dark now." The sun fades out of view and the color of the sky deepens to twilight. As soon as night falls, I see the autora borealis above me! I start to rise off of the ground but my son is squirming on my shoulders, saying, "Don't want to go! Don't want to go!" He starts crawling around on my head, even giving me a little foot to the face. I shift him so that his arms are around my neck and he seems to settle down. I fly straight up, staying close to the skyscraper to keep my bearings. I'm feeling an overwhelming sense of excitement as I fly toward the aurora. I'm so pumped that I shout a continuous battle cry as I rise. In response, the dream starts blasting a full symphonic orchestra soundtrack to my ascent. Looking back this seems totally cheesy, but I can't even care! It was amazing. The music was fantastic... I wish so badly that I could have somehow recorded it. I fly over the Aurora and see that inside it conceals a vast mother ship, almost like a space carrier that stretches for miles. As far as I can see down the length of the ship, smaller yellow spaceships are taking off from the carrier to destinations unknown. As each leaves the mother ship, it emits this purple flash of energy that joins the rest of the Aurora. It's the energy "exhaust" of each of these smaller spaceships that creates the aurora. All along, the soundtrack (and, amazingly, my battle cry) keeps going. I realize that I can do just as these ships are doing and I start pouring that purple energy outward from my palms, and it bleeds into the rest of the Aurora. More and more energy pours from my hands as the dream begins to fade. Soon all I can see are my hands, and after that I wake up.

1/20/11 - When in Rome Dream Non-dream Lucid I was in a really big room with everyone from my MILD class. I was talking to a couple of the guys, and one of them said, "When in Rome, do as the Romans do." I think he was on rollerblades.
