    1. Overview: June 2014

by , 07-01-2014 at 01:23 PM (My lucid comeback!)
      TOTAL DREAMS: 73

      TOTAL LUCID: 1

      Average dreams per night: 2,5

Dreamsigns: Stress, outside, speed, too late, friends, marathon, water

      Best technique (WBTB): SSILD

      Best technique (Nap): WILD

Personal evaluation: Don't try WILD early in the morning after WBTB, use MILD + derivatives. Note down dreams everytime you remember them, DO NOT FALL BACK ASLEEP.

Goals for next month: Increase lucid frequency to 1 lucid dream per week, increase DR to 4 dreams average per night and archieve atleast one succesfull WILD.

Special notes: This month included exams, this was probably a major distraction for lucid dreaming.

    2. Dreams and Journals

      by , 07-01-2014 at 12:33 PM
I've had my 8th lucid dream yesterday. I've written it below. My dream journal starts here! I will also post anything from non-lucid dreams to nightmares with my interpretations of them in their respected categories.

      The Dream World of Beauty

I "woke up" standing outside my current school. It seemed like there were a graduation party, so I stepped inside. The lights were out, and people were dancing. I walked into a secret room, where some of my friends where. The dreamscape had been rather clear from the start. Out of response, I looked at my right dream hand, as I use as reality check. I was right; 9 fingers instead of 5!

The dreamscape did not become any clearer by this. I kept myself calmed down, and started to walk out. I had suddenly walked out of my house, and stood in daylight outside of it. My first challenge was to teleport to some place I had watched a photo of. I closed my dream eyes, and felt myself wanting to teleport. Instead, I could feel the cold water going up to my knees. I opened my eyes, and stood inside a small lake from the place I had imagined. Instead of being there, the place had been placed right beside my house and the area I live in. Lava was pouring into the water, making realistic red sparks flying everywhere. I am a bit afraid of dark lakes, so without panicking, I pushed myself up on a rock, and jumped down from it. The mountains and the lake had dissapeared.

My next challenge was to change the skies. I asked for a planet to be seen in the daylight skies, but was unable to make something out of it. Instead, I asked for a galaxy. The skies started to swirl a bit, but it was not enough to make a spiral galaxy. I stated in a very rough and demanding voice: "CHANGE FROM DAY TO NIGHT, NOW". The dreamscape slowly faded from day to night, and I once more demanded it to stop right before the sun settled. It was dark. I saw a dream figure, and decided that I wanted to morph it into Jennifer Lawrence from The Hunger Games. I closed my eyes, but when I opened it, she was transformed to a person I had never seen before. I tried two times more, but without luck. Instead, the dream character had become pretty beautiful. I slowly walked over to it (her), and wanted to see how real the dream character felt. I slowly hugged her, and placed a kiss on her cheek. It actually felt pretty real.

As a result, instead of morphing, I wanted to summon. Returning back into my house, I really concentrated hard on summoning Dumbledore. He suddenly popped out of nowhere, and was starting to talk to me in a fine manner. I simply walked up to him, grabbed his wand out of his hands and said: "Give me that!". He seemed pretty sad, and I became a bit dissapointed when I saw the wand was broken. I demanded him to grant me a new one, and he did. I placed the wand on my forehead, and started to pull out a memory from my head. I coud literally feel the pressure on my skull, from where the memory was coming out from. I looked at it, as it shined in my hand.

I returned outside, and went to the last place again where I had tried to morph the dream character. I was starting to feel anxious, as the dream had felt extremely long. It felt like 15 minutes, and I was starting to believe that I might never get out. So I closed my dream eyes, and started to feel my leg return to the real life position. I could feel the sleep paralysis on my body as I transitioned from dream to waking life, and when I completely woke up, I was able to move.

    3. 1 Month of DJing [01/07/14]

by , 07-01-2014 at 11:55 AM (My lucid comeback!)
We're one month into our Lucid comback and I must say, I wouldn't want to live without lucidity anymore. Really the world must be so dull without the promise of complete freedom if you work for it. Anyway, This morning I woke up around 06:00 and remembered 3 dreams, however I decided to sacrifise these dreams in for a WILD attempt. Upon awakening I had a new dream though the first 3 are lost in the depths of time...

      1. Failed suprise

I'm in math class and the bell goes, I get up and walk out. Outside the room I walk along the long hallways and I wonder "Where is my next class?", I walk around for 10 minutes I think, then I enter a hallway with benches in the middle of it, teachers sitting at them correcting the exams. One of them looks at me like I shouldn't be there but I just walk passed them, then I know where I have to be. I have geography now! I quickly walk down the hall until I stand infront of the door. I put on sunglasses because I thought this would distract the teacher from the fact that I'm too late, but as I open the door she seems quiet annoyed and doesn't say a lot. There's some goodbye-party going on and the tables are placed in little groups. There aren't any places free except the table close by the door, I take a seat and look at some of the snacks in the middle. I don't take any and look around, I see my friends sitting at another group but I don't feel the need to go to them. Then the door opens and 2 more students walk in, I thought "Well, atleast I'm not the last one."
      Then I woke up.

I will now read all my dreams again, look for dreamsigns and more...

    5. Closed for Construction // Daleks and Cylons

      by , 07-01-2014 at 05:08 AM (The Kestrel's Dreams)
      June 30, 2014

      orange text = lucid

      Closed for Construction

It was Monday morning, and I was going about my business in the classes; it was almost break time. We were learning more about running records in my Teaching Literacy class. The teacher called for a break, and I scurried on over to a shop in a neighboring building, where I've been getting my mountain dew and coke lately. I opened the door, which was strange, as the door was usually propped open, and instead of the shop, there were three desks; they were strewn all over the place, not lining up with the walls or with each other. It was then that I remembered the sign I'd seen on Friday, saying that the shop would be closed starting Monday for construction (this sign was actually there, and the shop actually was closed today).

There was a construction worker sitting at one of the desks, and at the two other desks were the two women I've seen at the register. The one I've seen most often looked up at me and asked me if she could help me.

"Oh, I'm sorry. The shop was going to be closed starting today, wasn't it...?!" I excused myself and left, embarrassed.

      Daleks and Cylons

I was on a college campus that was basically a mixture of my campus, my little brother's campus, and my old high school's grounds (and holy cow, I've dreamed of this place before, too...! I remember now where the library was and even the same courtyard I was now in). I was going to meet my little brother there, because he was going to show me where he spent his days. I saw him, waved him over, and he took me to one of the buildings, though I can't really remember which one it was. We talked about something, but I forgot what.

I woke up the next morning and started to get ready for school. I was in my old bedroom, but it's slightly larger feeling, and the bed I had years and years ago was still in there. I got dressed, brushed my teeth, ate a bowl of cereal, and was in the process of packing up my backpack when I realized I needed to get something from the car. I went out to the garage, and rummaged around in the car (it was my dad's olllllld red Honda, which we got rid of 2 years ago) until I found whatever it was (I can't remember what), and then my mom came out saying we needed to leave NOW NOW or she would be late for work.

"But I'm not ready yet...! All my stuff is inside!"

      "Well go get it!"

I didn't think much, and ran inside to get my bag, which I hadn't finished packing yet. I plopped down in the car, and asked mom if we could hold up for a sec, because I didn't have all my stuff. "No time to waste, we need to go now."

"Why can't I just drive the van on my own?"

"Erik needs it because he has to stay late today."

"I honestly don't mind waiting up for him at school...!"

But we had already pulled out of the driveway. I made one of those longing motions for the retreating house behind me and the things I had left there. We had turned onto the street my old high school was on, except that it was much, much longer and in general larger-scale than it is IRL. I suddenly realized one of the things I'd forgotten was my wallet. I checked my pocket, and found that my debit card was in it, but a load of good that would do me at school. "Come on, mom, I don't have my wallet. I need that."

But she didn't say anything, and we came to a road block where Daleks and Cylons [[ Centurions and human models ]] were asking to see my mom's ID (Daleks and Cylons comprised the police force here. I remember feeling a slightly defiant acceptance toward them. The way you'd feel if you were secretly a rebel, but wanted to appear normal to get past the checkpoint)

"Ma'am can we see your ID?" Mom handed it over. The Cylon looked through the car at me, in the passenger's seat. "Does she have one, too?"

"I do, but I left it at home," I said, glaring at my mom.

The Cylon eyed me, then my mom, and then a Dalek that was looking through the passenger window right at me (it was uber creepy).

They waved us on, and as mom pulled back onto our course, I suddenly realize: Cylons and Daleks... those are from two different series...! I looked down at my hands: My left was completely normal, but when I looked at my right hand, there was an extra thumb. I blinked, wondering if it was just my eyes playing a trick on me, because it all seemed way too real to be a dream. But the extra thumb was still there, and I was dreaming!

I still wasn't totally totally convinced, and so I didn't want to do anything that would cause my death or my mom's death just in case, so I tried to reason with her using my real world logic:

"Look, mom, I don't have my ID or my school card. I won't even be able to get into the school!"

But she wasn't budging, and so I though, Fuck this shit, I'm waking up.

And so I woke up. I was back in my bedroom, and a large office printer in the corner was beeping and whirring, alerting me that the Cylons and Daleks were running a search on my name. I sniggered at my cunning in getting out of that dream, and proceeded to rush into the living room, telling my dad and brother, who were just getting up, "You guys wouldn't remember, since it was a dream, but I just woke up from it."

And then my real alarm went off and woke me up. It scared the shit out of me and I jumped at least a foot off my bed.

Double false awakening and Lucid FAIL lol.
    6. New Cameron

by , 07-01-2014 at 04:21 AM (Fennecgirl's Collection of Dreams)
Hey guys, I still exist! I meant to write this dream down in the morning, but whatever. Better late than never, right?

The dream I remember best from last night took place in an airport. I'd arrived at an airport where I had to change planes to catch a flight back home. When I asked about catching my next flight, I was informed that the plane I needed to board next would be at an airport in New Cameron. I asked where that was, and the guy I asked showed it to me on a map - I was on that biggest main island of New Zealand, and New Cameron was a small island not too far off the mainland. I asked him how long it would take me to get from the airport to New Cameron, and he told me it would take about an hour, which was bad news for me because I had to board that flight in half an hour. I started desperately wondering if I could manage to get a different flight back home from the airport where I currently was and thought I'd have to call my parents and let them know I'd be coming home on a different flight.

I woke up and, out of curiosity, went online to look up New Cameron to see if it was a real place and found out that it does exist but not in the same exact location as in the dream - then I woke up and realized that I'd only looked it up in another dream.

I fell asleep again, and, in the next dream, I was a Pikachu with a human form, and I had to find books in an old library about using electric-type attacks. I don't remember that dream very well.

After that dream, I woke up for real, told my mom about the New Cameron dream, and went online to look up (for real this time) if New Cameron was an actual place in New Zealand. Turns out (unsurprisingly) it isn't; the closest I could find was a New Cameron Street in Australia.
