    1. First experience with dream control.

      So my first experience with dream control was amazing.

      So I was sleeping (obviously) and I can hear noises of my mom talking out of my dream.
      I instantly knew I was dreaming because my mom was nowhere to be found. So I was just looking around at stuff I could do and I suddenly wondered "Well, I wonder how long until I wake up" so I was rushing to do something just to prove I could. So I find this metal sheet or whatever it was and I was just starring at it, I told myself "This thing needs to be bigger, A lot bigger." So I just imagine that thing about 20x's its size and I blink my eyes, all of the sudden when I opened them I have this giant metal sheet that was 20x bigger than the last in front of me. I then woke up and was disappointed but I was still amazed at how it happened.

      Also, when I woke up I found out my mom was talking on the phone.

    2. Running a marathon

      My first lucid in forever! This dream made reaffirmed to me the theory that just having LDing on your mind can lead to LDing. It was surprising though that my first day back on DV was also my first lucid in a long long time. On that note, I am going to put this as my first LD in my profile, because I forget how many I've had before this one, but maybe if I can find my archived DJ from before this new format I will edit this personal one to include my older dreams...

      Anyway, on to the LD!

      This was a DILD:

      The dream started at the starting line of a marathon. I was there with my girlfriend and a few of her old suitemates from college. The gun went off and I started running up a muddy hill, which was the first part of the race. Overall the setting of the race reminded me of western Marin County in Northern California. There was a sort of ridgeline that marked the halfway point of the marathon, and the runners had to run up hill from the inland side of the ridgeline then over the top and down towards the coast. I noticed almost immediately a dream sign that is fairly common for me. As I try to run faster I start to slow down. In other words it is a very frustrating sensation of running through jelly when I want to sprint.

      This sensation was so strong that I would watch people who were walking casually pass me as I tried my hardest to run quickly. I ran like this for about a minute before starting to think something was strange. I suddenly thought "Oh hey! I might be injured." As I looked down at my legs, I realized that I was extending my legs out very far in front of me in this sort of elongated walk. I realized that my legs were stretching farther than they were long and at this point I became lucid! I quickly did an RC of pushing my finger through my hand and that was it! I knew I was dreaming.

      However, I was a bit disappointed at this point, because I only had a very low level of control of the dream. My lucidity was clearly not that strong, because I didn't really think about doing anything except continuing to run the marathon. I began to run again, and faced the problem again of my legs not obeying what I wanted them to do. Now though, I was able to exert a small amount of control on my dream. I thought to myself that if I were dreaming, I could just expect to run faster and I would. My legs immediately sped up, but unfortunately it only lasted for a couple of seconds, before the jelly legs took back over. To explain this phenomenon a bit more clearly, I have had many dreams where I am driving, and as I come up on a car in front of my I hit the breaks. However, the car doesn't really respond to the breaks and I can tell I'm about to hit the car in front of me. This problem with running was extremely similar.

      At this point I had a false awakening. I felt myself loosing the dream and "woke up" on my bed with my cat laying next to me. However, I then must have woken up again, because the next moment I was awake for real, and realized that my cat was locked out of the bedroom for the night, so she could never have been laying next to me. It is unfortunate that I couldn't parlay this FA into a new LD, but I am encouraged by the night overall, given how long it has been.

      Well, I had a crazy thing happen last night. I finally lucid dreamed again (!!!) but when I woke up, I had attempted to type it out in a word document...in my sleep!

      Here is what I wrote while asleep. I'll write a proper explanation of the dream and update my sig and all that later (I'm at work right now).

      "I started out last night determined to lucid dream.I convinced myself that despite my lack of practice, I would have a lucid dream the following night, as well as a new method-ish thing , a theory perhaps, to aid in other lucid dreams. Tpdau. Today, I have both.

      I realized last night (to begin with the theory of induction) that if I repeanough, my mind would try to alter t it patteni eveempted to think it out, the patern would fight hard to change, but I would resist this. Fight hard to change, but I would resist this. After a while, I audibly heard muswas on to something..

      That was when I knew I hypnagogic audio, So I began repeating a sequence of images in my head, begarepenough, before long, my brain . Ied fought er ts e pg so, which then immediately resulted in a flare of very visible images. Ately resulted in a flare of very visible images.

      Unfortunately, I never got a chance to see if this could be useful for WILD. It sure brought me into the sleep stage pretty quickly, though.

      So I fell I don't remember where, but there wasbuilding. Still, the red flags waved in my head, and I sud nlye sure wwas raoing to be a devent lucid dream, I real ty c world.

      I don'have known that the camer. Was couldn't possibly be linked the dream.-life version, or record real videos of the dream.

      After that, though, I aiti g: “You cango on ahead, I'm right behind you.”

      Aore interesting, and away from all e they were going to go into. Onlyoset IVITY WAS ORIENTED SIDEWAYS FOR ME> I did a recording on my camera about it and tioen was to shock the DV's inin a lucid dream.I was serious abbout them being in a lucim.ream.       “You see this camera?” I asked.

      The DC's nodded.

      “Well, camera?” I asked.

      They nodded agais camera still workd again.

      Sust took out the camera battery and kept f abin the significance of the gesture.

      N caringt guys, well, I realjust going to have to leave.”

      “F el! > Don't you want to be with your nieces? These are your family! Why wetld again. I knew it wasa just a dream.

      “Actually, I don't care.” I said before walking out the door.

      Unfortunately, I ned up somewhere other than England. Everything around me looked like a quilted pattern. Gravity was irrelevant, since up and won looked the exact same.

      And guess what? The DC's were there, too! I got out the camera and filmed/narrated my disbelief.

      They crowded around me and begged me to go back home with them, and just because I thought it would make for an entertaining video to watch when I woke up, I agreed to go back with them.

      It gets fuzzy from here on, but I remember quite clearly being at a party back at the house. I guess the DC's were throwing it to celebrate me coming back. I wasn't in the mood, though. I sat in a corner with my video camera, watching all the recordings I had made and marveling that everything was actually recorded onto this thing inside the dream. It was seriously playing back to me all the stuff I'd heard and seen without changing anything.

      I did a bunch of other stuff after this, but I can't remember it any more. It wasn't the most exciting lucid dream ever since I was focusing on recording it all (epic fail there) but it was a nice long one and I was very lucid; no issues with dream control.

      Confidence is key, people! I got this lucid dream simply from believing I would have it. Can't wait for tomorrow night! "

    4. Atop the Subway Station

      I was sitting with my brother in a building that had a subway station below it. It had large glass walls and benches everywhere. We were sitting near the entrance where there is a large space between the bench and doors, just staring out the windows and talking. I forget what triggered it, I just remember that it was something from a previous dream, but I became lucid. I was so positive that I did not need to do a reality check. I remember saying,

      "I had a feeling this was a dream the entire time"


      I get up and stand in the spacious spot. I jump in the air, hoping to hover or fly but I fall right on my ass. I get up. I wasn't unhappy though because last time I attempted to fly I woke up. This time I remained lucid which was pleasing to me. I looked at my brother, was staring around the place attentively, it was pretty funny how realistic he looked. I tried to fly again but then I had a false awakening. ...of course I didn't realize this until I woke up

    5. My first Lucid dream entry in a while and first new journal entry

      I had my first lucid dream in a while last night. I can't remember too much about the preceding and proceding dream content anymore (it was a late party night and a restless sleep with an early morning). What I do remember is I somehow became lucid and tried to think of what I should do. I remembered the dream task about creating a clone and decided to do that. I was in a local shop similar to the one across the road from my house though it was slightly bigger and had various other changes. I ran across the shop floor to an open space and put my hand up to obscure the view, then thought hard about making a clone appear there. I moved my hand down and it hadn't worked, but then I turned to my left and I was greeted by a clone of myself. For some reason, the clone was half eastern/middle-eastern so was quite striking and surprising. I tried talking to my clone but instead of replying he just spat in my face! Gross. I started becoming un-lucid as the other eastern people who owned the shop (as they do in real life) showed me their food, which was made entirely from condiments for some reason, which I found funny. The rest is a blur.

    6. Longest Lucid yet (but still short)

      I do not quite remember how I became lucid but I was in the kitchen of my house then i saw myself walk up to me with a gun saying you know what will happen soon just go do us a favor handing me the gun I then run out of the sliding glass door right next to the kitchen and took off almost instantly everything went blurry but I could still speak (although i did not say anything) and move so I started rubbing my hands together. I landed in a graveyard on my back (worst position right?) and tried to rub the grass which did feel rather real, but everything quickly became blurry again, I lost my vision and woke up. Felt like about a minute or 2 of dream time was lucid

    7. Norton and the Epic Dream Fight

      This is one of the best dreams I've ever had, both in terms of lucidity and control. I was almost completely aware, and my dream control worked for just about everything.

      I was in the debate room of my school, which had solid dark cream flooring, a long rectangular whiteboard on the wall and neatly arranged desks, all facing that board. I was in class with my friends, and a student in the upper grade walked in, handing out single sheets of paper to everyone. I looked at it and I saw a "who, what, where, when" style of invitation. It was an invitation for an event at the school. I remember it saying that Edward Norton, the actor, was coming to present a seminar on acting.

      The dream then changed briefly: I'm at home, and anxious for the next day. Then it changed back and I was at school again; I was sitting in the same room as before, but this time there were less people. Norton was at the front of the room with some sort of PowerPoint projected up on the wall. At the end of the seminar, after everyone left and he was packing up, I became lucid. I was now almost completely aware that I was in a dream; I didn't even have to use a reality check. I could tell from the location and the fact that it looked different than usual.

      "This is so cool!" I said, beginning to walk out of the room and into the atrium of the school. The color scheme is eggshell blue on the window frames and doors, and lighter whites, grays and beiges for the walls and tiles.

      I was now in the middle of the atrium, but the dream had a mind of its own. Although I didn't expect it to happen, Edward Norton had followed me and was looking up at the second floor. I did the same because there may have been something interesting up there, and there definitely was. Behind the silver cylindrical railing, there was a man all dressed in black with a ski mask covering his face.

      "Are you here to mess up my dream?" I asked him, not caring if he were to jump down and attack me.

      He didn't reply.

      I laughed a bit and told the man, "go ahead if you want!"

      At that moment, I decided to create this big, epic dream fight. I turned myself around to look at the entrance, where a bunch of other people I summoned were coming in through a door they smashed in, talking to each other; some were wearing all black and ski masks, some weren't... Some were running while others were walking patiently along.

      I tried not to panic, as more people were entering the school than I expected. I produced a blast of fire from my hands; more specifically, fire that would only set the bad guys on fire and not the school. It worked and I created a long stream of fire aimed directly towards them. I didn't expect for Norton to be beside me, also creating fire using some kung-fu style moves which was actually pretty funny-looking. I couldn't help but burst out laughing.

      I spun around and saw more dream characters coming in.

      "Come on" I muttered, annoyed. I didn't summon those guys, only the ones on the other side of the atrium.

      I held out my hand and shouted, "stop!" to the newcomers. I could hear shoes squeaking as they stopped mid-stride in surprise. "Go away. You can be in another one of my dreams."

      They agreed and walked away. I turned around again and the others had frozen up, unmoving. Maybe because I was involved with too many dream characters at one time?

      "Continue," I commanded, and the scene began to move.


      All the bad guys collapsed on top of me, kicking and punching; it reminded me of a matrix-style fight. Unfortunately I couldn't see much past them, so I knelt down and created a huge blast of energy. It was bubble shaped and had a slight pink hue to it, but only in patches, like an actual bubble. It popped, and the enemies flew away into the walls of the atrium.

      And that's where it ends. I would've recorded more, but I forgot the rest.

    8. Flying and the Sky Interface

      Notes:
      This is a dream added from a few months earlier.

      It must have been my home city according to my subconscious, but it looked different. Although it had many similar buildings, there was a huge river running near the middle of the city, directly through it from one end to the other. I knew this before I actually took off and flew.

      I started out in a restaurant; it was an Italian-style restaurant with burgundy walls, gold accents and thick gold trim snaking around the middle of the walls. There were only a few tables and chairs, even though the restaurant was a larger size. I walked outside after standing around for a little while and I saw my mother walking towards me. "Hey Puffin," she told me casually and waved, then walked closer and looked around a bit. "You're dreaming," she told me quietly.

      I usually don't become lucid if a DC tells me that I'm dreaming, but this time I did. "Yes!" I exclaimed loudly and bolted away, completely ignoring any reaction my mother might have had. I attempted to push myself off the ground without the help of anything. I managed to get a quite a few feet, but I only floated for a few moments and then fell back to the ground on my back. Flapping my arms didn't help. I imagined being alright after the fall, even though in reality it would have hurt me, and I was okay; the dream didn't end.

      I decided to summon wings, and this worked. I couldn't see them, but I could see the shadow of them as they appeared behind me. I managed to take off and began accelerating over the city, traveling faster and faster. I had to push myself every few seconds because the speed would start to wane, but it was okay. I looked down at the city, and I could see everything, including the empty areas around it. I then turned my attention to the sky, which was a dark blue. Nighttime.

      I decided to try something different and instead of saying "increase daylight" or something similar, I poked my index finger out against a currently invisible interface. Then, a keyboard appeared, the keys transparent against the sky but each outlined with a white border. I didn't pay attention to what the keys said, but I simply stated, "change to noon". The sky changed very quickly, and now it was a mixture of normal light daytime color, yellow, and shades of purple and pink.

    9. Teacher Issue

      The lucidity in this dream was very high! It almost felt like I was awake and totally aware. Although, I wouldn't have considered myself superlucid, as I didn't have too much control over a specific DC within the dream...

      I can't remember too much, but I do remember that I was on the sidewalk at the beginning, next to some average city buildings. A couple of them were short, built from burgundy and red bricks, and others were stucco. It was a potluck of different buildings, but it looked pretty normal. I became lucid from a blast of awareness, and I observed the dream for a few seconds, just looking at the details of the location and breathing in the air. I did an RC for fun by looking at my palm, and I had seven fingers all fanned out on my right hand. I looked down the street and thought about what I could do.

      Suddenly, I saw my Healthy Lifestyles class teacher walking down the sidewalk, in her gray yoga pants and a black hoodie. She came towards me and said angrily, "you, get back to school!"

      This unnerved me slightly, but I managed to keep most of my lucidity without losing focus. "You have to go, now!" she continued.

      I told her that this was a dream. I also stated that I was right in the middle of deciding what to do, and to please leave me alone. I didn't want to disrespect her, even though she was just a DC. She told me that I wasn't dreaming, and to stop being silly, but I persisted. She made a rude remark and stalked away.

    10. Tony Stark on a Blimp

      This was the second in a recent spate of dreams involving Iron Man. Since this was a longer dream, I became lucid on and off throughout the course of it. When the lucid parts occurred, it was less-than-average lucidity.

      I began this dream in a massive, futuristic dome; it had glass tiles like Disney's Epcot sculpture, and was the size of a few football fields. There was a blimp near the ceiling with a flat top, almost like a table. There was grass and palm trees on the ground, and different small stores around the edges. In the middle of the dome, there were city buildings, and here, the lighting was darker. This is where I was first. I was falling towards the buildings, and I heard narration from my dream: "since this is a dream, you can trampoline off the buildings without getting hurt, due to the nature of the dream." I didn't become lucid yet, but when I impacted the top of an apartment building, it bounced inwards slightly and I rebounded. The next time I hit a building, I only bounced a foot or two, and then landed on the ground.

      The next thing I knew, I was on a ski mountain, probably a green run. The hill was fairly steep, and at the bottom, I could see the ski rental station and another larger building. I had to get down quick, as I was late to meet Tony Stark, back at that massive dome. I had skis on, so I began to slide down the hill. There were a few ripples in the hill, but on the last one one of my skis flew off, so I had to go down on only one ski. I arrived at the rental station and became aware that I was dreaming. I had to leave the ski resort and check out my ski equipment, so I tossed the one ski over and said, "bill me". Even though I was lucid, the lucidity wasn't strong enough, and so I wanted to maintain courtesy towards the attendant. As I turned around and began to run away, they called me back and said that their credit card system is down. I rolled my eyes and pulled out a random wallet, pulled out a large bill, and then said to keep the change.

      The dream skipped again and I was no longer lucid. I was back in the dome, which seemed a bit smaller than before, and I still had the priority of getting to where Tony Stark was. Apparently he was on that blimp with the flat top. It wasn't that big; around the size of a regular bedroom. I pushed off from the ground and flew across the area to where the blimp was, and landed. There was a table covered with a white tablecloth, and Stark was there along with two other people. I pulled up a seat at the head of the table and said, "sorry I'm late, I got caught up in something." He was in a tux identical to the one below.


      At the table in front of me, there was a tasty-looking hot dog with vegetables and stuff. I didn't look to see what the others were eating, as it didn't really cross my mind. On the hot dog, there was mustard and some shiny, dark green condiment that actually looked pretty tasty. I remember going lucid again and eating the entire thing, but then losing the lucidity!

      While eating after becoming unconscious again, I plunged into a senseless conversation with him, his two bodyguards (as I then found out) casually listening on. Some lines from our conversation were, but not limited to:

      "I know we both invented it in our own separate ways, but you were quicker getting it into public."
      "They costed a lot of money. I had to sell a really expensive dress I owned to get proper funding for the event."

      I can't recall the direct purpose or topic of the conversation. This was pretty much all there was, and then I became lucid just as the dream was ending. I decided that this was a pretty interesting dream and didn't want to forget about it by DEILDing.

    11. The Black Cougar Pt. 2

      Into: Okay, for those of you who were paying attention to the first part from yesterday, i appreciate it, It means alot. But onward to the story! I've notice something today when I woke up like around 3 in the afternoon.(I sleep in longer so my dreams are too, smart huh? XD ) That the story from yesterday and from the day after, it's all connected to my aunts house. The only person I know that lives near the woods. And across the street from it. And in order to get there I have to catch SEPTA (South Eastern Pennsylvania Transportation Authority) Buses, Trains, Trolleys, is some of the things that I have to take to get there.


      The Black Cougar Pt. 2

      When I fell fast asleep, my dream started almost instantly. I was waiting for the 11 trolley to take me to Center City Philadelphia, from there, the Broad St. line to Olney TPC (Transportation Center) and then I'll walk there to her house. The trolley finally came and I got on. I meet up with an old friend from elementry school, Richard was his name, I asked him wassup? how you been? He replied back Ah, chillin man, just came back from my girls crib. Bout to head back up to olney. Im headin up there too, To my aunts house I said. So we sat on the trolley, catchin up from our childhood at school. Then we made it to Center City and as we were walking to the Broad St. Line, Three guys was just leaning on the wall lookin at us. We both looked back at them, and kept walkin to the train station. As we were waiting for the train. I looked down the tunnel to see if it was coming, but instead i saw the black cougar, walking down the middle of the tracks, showing no fear of the train. But I blinked, and it was gone. And then, it felt like my back had weight on it, whatever it was, i took it off and it was my bookbag. And im thinking to myself where the hell did this come from? Then i remembered that it was a dream, so I opened it and inside was 2 Japanese swords. WTF is going on? I thought. I heard yelling and sreaming from upstairs. Me and Richard looked up the steps, but the screaming stopped. He looked at me and said Better get ready. I said For what? wtf is gonna happen?! Your worst fears are letting out Brandon he said as three demons just like appeared in front of us. I'm not scared of monsters or whatever these guys are i said, Its losing my friends and Family is what im worried about. Then i put one katana on my back and the other on my right side of my thigh. I was ready to fight but then I remembered that Richard didnt have anything to defend himself, i looked at him and he pulled out two pistols. Ard, i thought to myself, He'll be okay. One demon stepped up to me and i quickly drew my sword, cut off his arm then his head. He drooped to the ground and turned to dust. Another one took a step toward Richard and i heard a click. That wasn't good. It was empty. He brought a gun with no bullets to a fight. I jumped in front of him and told the demons to back off. It laughed and they both tried to attack, i drew my other sword and cut them both down. Next time brig bullets I said. Yeah , I wont forget he said.... Then I woke up.

    12. July 29th, 2010: Three Short Lucid Dreams?

      I have trouble arranging dreams in the exact order they occurred. Also, sometimes I find it difficult to keep them from merging within my mind before I wake up to write them down. This sometimes results in a bit of confusion when I finally get to writing down my dreams in my journal. Last night, I had what now seem to be three separate lucid dreams within my first six hours of sleep. I have tried to arrange them in the manner that seems most right.

      The first dream I can remember involved a recent road trip I went on. I was traveling by myself through small towns in the west, and I was being followed by a hobo who wanted to take my money or something. This was a bit scary but not, like, a full on nightmare or anything.

      Somehow, this dream morphed and I was walking in a retail store. I think it was a Wal Mart or something. Anyway, the main aisle became a sort of highway and there were people lined up along the sides watching me. I felt strange and the whole scenario seemed off. At first I thought that they knew something about me and the cop was going to find out this secret. I didn't even know the secret! Eventually I figured it out: I was lucid and they were dream characters. This made me feel great but I didn't really know what to do so I just strolled around the store talking to my DCs and enjoying myself.

      There is a gap and I believe that last dream ended, sending me into a false awakening. I remember waking up in my bed. I instantly felt that something was off, so I did a reality check. I pressed my right pointer finger into my hand and it went right through. I had that EUREKA feeling again and got very excited. I jumped out of bed and looked for a way out of my house. I saw the window and burst through it, flying very hard in what would be a eastern direction. I ended up at a nearby elementary school, the one I attended as a child. I stood in the field and wondered what to do from there. So I guess I created a tower and started climbing it. Then I decided that it should be winter and it started snowing. This was awesome! I pretty much just jumped around on this tower, slid down it, made snow angels, etc. etc. I was having fun.

      Eventually, I think this dreamscape morphed into a more alien landscape. I remember sitting under the tower and enjoying the knowledge that I was lucid. Looking about, I was in a new place, a place not familiar to me. I entered a nearby bunker and saw my ex there. This was strange but I accepted her as real. I think that was part of the reason that I started losing dream clarity and lucidity. All of a sudden, the bunker (which reminded me of an old church) started being shot at by nails. Strange. So I promised her I would get the nail-shooter to stop. I went out into the cold and started running in the direction of the assailant. But I fell down a hill and my father was down at the bottom. He had a fire going too and my two boxer dogs Chester and Georgie were down there too. He made me watch after them, even though I told him that I was having a lucid dream and I needed to go. I ended up falling asleep there by the fire and lost lucidity.

      This was an exciting night of sleep but I think I have to watch out for dream characters because I tend to believe they are real and they tell me to do stupid things. Also, I never really know what to do when I become lucid, so usually I just fly around and get really excited. Haha. What should I do? If I focus on plans before I go to bed, will this influence my dreams?
    13. July 28th, 2010: Intense Battle and Flying

      On the night of the 28th, I went to bed at around 2 in the morning and so I set my morning alarm for 8. In that first period of sleep, I remember very little dream wise. I got up to use the bathroom and read over my dream journal for the past few days. Then I very quickly fell back asleep, but not before doing a bit of the MILD technique. I fell asleep chanting "you will know when you are dreaming."

      So I was in my basement. This was a dream of course, but it was a very realistic representation and I accepted it as reality. I looked out the window and saw a group of individuals who I can only describe now as super-villains. They were wearing weird costumes and I could tell they were up to no good. This should have been a good opportunity for a reality check, but I missed it. I ran upstairs and told my parents that there were evil people trying to blow up the house. So we all found weapons around the house and got ready to fight them off. This would have been another good opportunity for an RC. But nope.

      I had found a weapon which was a combination of a kukri, a gun, and a camera lens. One super-villain struck me as very dangerous because I could see that she had a sniper rifle. So I shot her three times in the head. But she did not die... So I ran upstairs and asked my dad "how do I kill that lady?" And he responded: "Just shoot her in the head!" Well I already had. Three times. Finally, this struck me as strange. All of a sudden, she was in the house and coming right for me. At that moment, I became lucid.

      I remember spinning around with the kukri and chopping her in half. But I was way too excited and my spinning motion sent me right up into the air and literally through the roof. So I was flying. I knew this would be difficult to stabilize. I sort of levitated, and then would drift over to things as I focused on them. But all I could really focus on was clouds. Eventually i lost lucidity and woke up.

      I did have other dreams that night/morning, but this one was cool because of the lucidity and the flying. I thought I would share it.

      Not a very eventful dream. Although a lot of stuff happened, I tried too DEILD back into it, and forgot the whole thing

      Some stuff happened with my little cousin, she came into my room, she really liked me, we hung out for like 10 min, she disappeared.

      I did a nose RC, I became lucid. I first tried to fly up through the ceiling, but was having trouble getting through, so left through a closed window instead.

      I flew around the street a bit. I went to some business building, and found a nice looking girl. I think I was going to have sex with her, but she disappeared. I roamed around the building instead, seeing a lot of people, some of which looked like the businessmen from the Tool music video of Parabola.

      A lot of other non-lucid stuff happened for a long time with my cousin (she's like 7, I haven't seen her lately, and don't really like her.

      Before I slept, I decided to just do a MILD where I repeated "I should do a reality check". It seemed to work, and I think I'm gonna use that mantra for my other MILDs too.

      Too bad about the recall though. I'm pretty sure some fun stuff happened in that building... I wonder if I tried the TOTM?

    15. Wooded Area with Pixies and a False Awakening!

      Have to share my Lucid Dream this morning! I was lying on the couch after having been up a few hours and decided I want to try to go into a dream aware. I started getting sleepy and I knew that was about to start dreaming so I start saying to myself "Stay aware. Stay aware. Stay aware" and then I feel this startling vibration like I'm being shaken up and down really fast. This has happened before right before Lucid Dreaming, so I just breathe and I'm still aware that I'm lying on the couch, but I'm also falling down into the dream and then...I'm dreaming and I know it! During the entire dream, I was, for the first time, fully aware of my waking environment, what I was lying one, the house, etc.

      Here's what happened:

      Big library, I was flying around and seeing and talking to different people, it looked like a huge children's library and I did see different aged kids walking and flying around. I knew I was dreaming and tried to manipulate the environment, but had a lot of trouble. I could fly easily, but had trouble controlling direction, speed, etc. Then I wanted to change things and thought of woods and forest, but it kept turning into a baseball diamond, then a big pool and once I tried to fly but fell into the pool which really scared me because I thought of sharks (I'm weird!) then it did turn into a semi-secluded wooded area, saw a beautiful little girl in a flower-like dress (looking closer, the dress was made of these beautiful exotic flowers!) walk by, she looked at me, but looked away, she looked like a pixie, very beautiful blonde hair with amber streaks on the tips...then saw a square-shaped enclosed wooded kind of area (shrubbery made up the enclosure), with those kinds of dolls (like the pixie girl) set up in shrubbery like cabinets all around, I went around looking at all of them up close really close because they were so beautiful and delicate and I thought this place was important for some reason...then this little Eastern girl about 8 years old came up to me and said something, I can't remember what, and then I just hugged her and started crying because of who she was (who was she?) and what she said...and then I remember that I could smell her hair and it smelled dirty, like she hadn't washed it in a while. First time ever remembering smell in a dream! The smell of her hair bothered me, but I didn't say anything because I thought it's not really important...and then saw a room off to the side with a bed in it and a dresser with a mirror. I walked in and asked her whose room this was....she said something that I can't really remember then I saw the mirror and wanted to look at myself, but she kept trying to stop me for some reason. I tried and then she kind of playfully kept pulling me away and I kept leaning toward the mirror and I finally got a brief glimpse of myself in the mirror and I saw myself sticking my tongue out at myself (first time ever seeing myself in a mirror in a dream). Somehow I thought that looking at myself in a mirror in a dream was not a good thing to do, I turned around and this kid walks up to me and swings something in his hand and whacks me and BAM, I'm awake. But, it's a false awakening, but I didn't know it! I'm on my couch and suddenly Joey (my son) comes out of his room screaming at his sister (he doesn't have one!) who is lying beside me on the couch and they start fighting and Joey is about 5 years old and he's screaming and crying at her and trying to hit her, he was having a horrible temper tantrum, something he's never done. I become furious with him and slapped him really hard and then got up and grabbed him by his hair and then I slapped his face. Suddenly, it dawns on me that Joey is not a small child (he's a teenager) and doesn't even look like this child...and BAM...I wake up for real...and this was like 15 minutes ago. I had to type this out really fast before I forgot it.
