Kill them! Kill them all! BWAHAHAHA! Ooh, pretty flowers. My partner and I are divvying up guns and ammunition from a trunk he brought with him. The pistols are old-style revolvers that take forever to load, so I grab two, stuffing one each down the front and back of my jeans. Which is probably a bad idea, but hey, we're in a hurry. Our team is comprised of settlers - space explorers even. I think we've decided that we want the planet, and we're going to kill all the people in the compound ten feet away. I don't know; I haven't been paying much attention. I just want to fight. Vicki hangs a flare gun over one of my shoulders, and I'm smoking a cigarette, for some reason. There's a fuse on the end of the flare, and I accidentally light it with my cigarette, which is now a lit match. Hurriedly, I aim over the wall of the compound and fire, starting off the battle. A man inside the compound aims some kind of explosive firework at the rest of the team, but I'm not concerned, since I'm not part of the big group standing together like bowling pins. Morons. Things explode, and we rush the compound. I'm behind the rest of my team, so I don't get to shoot many people. I'm a little nervous about it actually. By the time we've cleared most of the place out, most of my team members are down. We're only shooting the people with guns, which happens to be the men, mostly. Men and women and children are all standing together, and if you would take cover, I wouldn't be shooting you! I'm holding dual pistols, sending twin shots into the chest of a man that just. won't. die. Never mind, he's down. I get a message over the radio, saying that some kind of failsafe has been activated. Plant life is withering around the ship, and it's going to kill us, too. The ship is about to evacuate the planet, and I have to run if I don't want to be left behind. I take off down a grassy path, trying to run as fast as I can. Quickly, I realize that I can pull in more speed, and my surroundings simultaneously blur and come into sharper focus. I was just talking about running really fast in dreams, with Puffin, and it really is the best feeling - wait a minute. I'm lucid. I stop and look around, urgency of the Run Away task starting to dissipate. I look around at my surroundings, which are very green and very floral. It's beautiful, really. I wander back to the landing site just because I can. The plants are dead all around the ship, and nothing's left but mud. Most of the crew are off to the side, away from the ship and avoiding whatever deadly contagion plagues the soil. I walk right through, calling up plant life as I go. I want to talk to one of the DCs, but I'm being pulled back into the dream plot. Suddenly, we're all peaceful and getting along with the inhabitants of the planet. I'm talking to Johanna, who's playing one of these people. I'm given a tour of the compound, and I make ivy spring up along the walls, which starts flowering immediately. It should start growing fruit within a few days (you know, since we destroyed their supplies and all). *** Wandering around an RV, which seems to fit an entire house in it. Linkara's giving me a tour, and I'm still making flowering ivy grow along the walls. I wonder what it's feeding on. *** My brother is driving the same car we crashed into the harbour last night. We're driving along a road that's made entirely of ice, and he's going way too fast. We're driving into an underground castle-like structure where his music lessons take place. There's a steep downward slope, and PEDESTRIANS! LOOK OUT! SLOW DOWN! And a sharp turn right after a quick ramp THAT SENDS US FLYING into the air and we're going to crash and I telekinetically shove the car back onto the road. We come to a stop. "Okay," says Ben, catching his breath. "Maybe I'll go a little slower next time." Border Skirmishes. Scare Factor: 3. New rule: DCs aren't allowed to drive. Ever.

I just spent a good 30 minutes typing down two long lucids just for your enjoyment, but pressed something by accident and now the text is gone. TT_TT You'll just have to live with brief notes and hope that I will pull myself together again tomorrow for another try. TT_TT -unknown date. Hogwarts like school. A fight with three witches on top of a castle in ruins. -05/06/2010 Maneuvering dream where my wings are visible and I'm trying to evade being captured by some weird group of officials. -06/06/2010 An attempt to make myself a hidden blade which almost works. Some random telekinesis and a snow storm. o_O
01/04/2010 This is one of those days when I just can't pull myself together to write down ALL of my dreams. So some of the least interesting and fragmented one are not going to be mentioned :/ Sorry guys. But on another note I'm going to try both the TOTM and the BD TOTM. If my WILD tonight is 100% successful. Because the island resort is just too awesome to not try to go there. XD But now, for the dreams... Non-dream Dream Semi-lucid Lucid The witches and the monster-wolves I am in a field with a forest on my left and a steep rock wall further down on my right. The whole dream is dark. There are witches there. How I know that they are witches I do not know. They slightly remind me of the witches from the movie "Golden Compass". I have a longbow in my left hand and an arrow bag over my shoulder. (Fun fact: I started to train in archery from this years January.) We need to fight the monster wolves that are coming out from the forest. I'm trying to kill them with precise shots but somehow I always miss. The other witches are starting to get annoyed. I somehow know that I am knew here. Time-skip. It is now raining. No, pouring. We are preparing for another attack. We go forward and the wolves start attacking us. I and another witch am backed against the rock wall. I see other witches behind the wolves. The wolves are upon us, and another one is attacking me in particular. The wolf the size of a huge dog, and looks normal, except for it's face. It has an evil look and red, glowing eyes. I try shooting him, but he is too close. The other witch - she has long, dark hair and a long flowing dark dress - says that I need to hit him. I do a couple of times, but then the wolf start biting my arm, practically chewing on it. The visible wings A little info: when I want to fly in my dreams, I imagine myself with wings. That is also my reality check. These are just random fragments. From a dream. I'm going to visit my grandma. I ring at the door, and I'm let in. I go into the living room. My grandma is sitting on the couch. There is a little girl there with a nice dog. The girl gasps. "Oh my god..." "Yeah, those are my wings.." "Is that why you never let me touch your back?" "Yeah." At the same place, I feel someone touching my wings and gently pressing them against my back. The feeling of soft feathers touching my back feels weird. At the same place. I am sitting at the chair next to the couch. I am scratching the dogs head. At first he's enjoying it and is really happy, but then he starts growling at me, barking at me and even tries to bite my hand. I pull my hand back from him and hiss like a cat. (Yeah... Another thing I may tell you about sometimes... ) I am hiding from someone on a roof of a shop not far from my home. I know for a fact that my wings are still visible. A vague memory of running down the street to my apartment building.
20/03/2010 Non-dream Dream Semi-lucid Lucid Shared? The fire The memory starts with me being in a abandoned part of the city. I see a fire burning in a metal box and think, hmm, I need to put that out. I start making the water rise up from the puddle with mere movements of my hand, but then think, oh, this is a great chance to see if I can control fire. I diverted my attention from the water to the fire. The water fell back into the puddle with a splash. I raised the hand above the small fire and the repeated the movements that let me control water. The fire started raising together with my hand. And after a while there was a separate fire burning in the air. I made the fire grow bigger, then smaller again. I made it hover in my palm, just a few millimeters from the skin then made it bigger and threw it at the wall, where it left a burning circle. I had just thrown another fireball at the wall when the dream ended and I woke up. Fun fact: I remember waking up after this dream and thinking - ooh, I need to remember this. But I only remembered the dream after an about of hour of fussing in the morning that I remember the thought when I woke up between the phases, but didn't remember a single dream. XD The empty classroom *** I guess I need to give you a little background before I tell you about this dream and why I deem it so important. Last year (note - by year I mean school grades) I started noticing a guy from parallel class. Not that I hadn't noticed him before, it's just that I started to notice that he was quite handsome, though quite obnoxious too. After a couple of times when I noticed him, I had a dream with him in it. We were paired up for basketball practice at school. We were standing lined up, and he was holding a basketball in his hands. He made a snide remark about me, and I answered with an equally snide remark and a smirk on my face. He looked down upon me (he was taller than me) with an amused and slightly bewildered look. The next times when I saw him at school, I was met with two greyish-blue orbs - he was looking back at me. Since that time I had had many dreams with him. And always when we saw each other at school he would look at me with this weird expression. But it had been a long time since we had had a supposedly shared dream. The last time we had something like that, was the night after the school's Christmas ball, and before that dream, there too was a long period without a dream with him. So this dream made me think again... Let's see what will happen at school tomorrow... I was sitting in an empty classroom with my back pressed against the wall - now that I think about it, that's the way I usually sit in that classroom, that reminds me of one of my Latvian language classrooms. If I was sitting at the first table, he was sitting at the third table in the row, in the other seat line. I was the first one to speak. "Where have you disappeared?" "Should I've been anywhere?" he answered with a bit of a sneer. "I don't know, shouldn't you have?" He didn't answer, just stared at the table. Th next moment he was sitting at the second table, though still across from me. "Why aren't you doing anything at school?" he asked. I think I smiled. "You should know by now that I'm waiting for you to act." He looked at me with this weird look. Like he was a bit surprised... And maybe even considering it... The dream ended. Although he probably ended it.
07/03/2010 Non-dream Dream Lucid Semi-lucid Dream comment The leeches (Lucid) This was just before I woke up for the WILD attempt. I was in an old abandoned building. You could see that vandals had fun there. The hallways were dark and gloomy and the illuminated rooms, that had windows were with tiles on the floors and walls, and the walls had mirrors – I think they were supposed to be bathrooms... I remember walking into on of those rooms (everything was very vivid). There was a guy there, a DC. I think we were talking about something when two giant leech-like creatures entered. They looked something like the worms from Stephen King's “Dreamcatcher”, only almost the size of a human. They both entered the guy's body through his mouth and went out of each through the legs. The guy was left a bloody mess. The leeches ignored me and crawled out of the room. (At this point I was slightly flabbergasted, but not really afraid) I walked out of the room and went out in to the hallway. I walked further down the hallway and entered another room to the left. It looked the same as the room before, but in it there were two guys – one standing by the window and looking at me, and another one slumped against the wall with the leeches still in him. I felt that I needed to get to the brown-haired guy standing at the window so I started going past the leech infested body to my left and the mirrors to the right. One of the leeched rose out of the body and turned in my direction. I knew that it would attack so I squished it with telekinesis. The other one rose up too and tried jumping at me, but I ducked to the side, and the leech crashed into the glass – the glass was jutting out of its head – the other leech was dead too. I went up to the guy, looked out of the window. It was night outside. There was a field stretching ahead, ending with a wall, and beyond the wall there were dark red brick houses lined up. I turned to the guy(I think he was a DC) and asked whether that wall was guarded. (I had a feeling this building was “contaminated” and so closed off from the rest of the world.) He just smirked in response, with his hands in his pockets. I said that this kind of dream wasn't the first for me, as in when I needed to escape a facility, and that I hated running from DC's, so why didn't he just answer me. So he looked up and said that yes, that wall was unguarded. I thanked him and flew out of the window, over the field and the wall and to the other side of the houses. I sticked myself to the wall and started climbing down, but there was only darkness underneath me, and I ad he feeling that the wall will never end. I tried teleporting, but everything went dark and I woke up. Dreams after having my first successful (and serious) WILD Note: I'm not sure about the order of these dreams – I'm only certain about the first one. I woke up at 6:30am, having slept for six hours. I did as I planned – stayed up for an hour. Before slipping in the WILD I stretched my muscles a bit and lied down in my usual sleeping position. I started hearing and seeing HH and I think I felt myself having SP. But I got uncomfortable, and decided to turn over to the other side. The HH started again and after awhile I found myself standing in the middle of my room. Everything was hazy so I yelled out “skaidrība” - “clarity” in Latvian, and the dream started to become clearer. I remembered my main goal – I wanted to make a door that lead to the Moon (I had wanted to try going there for this whole week), and maybe speak to someone from the shared dreaming team. I found a white chalk in my hand. I drew a form of a door on the wall, a door handle and wrote “THE MOON” in big letters on the “door”. I tried to materialize the door, but it didn't work in the beginning. (Meanwhile, I didn't notice as the dream around me grew hazier and hazier.) Then the door I had drawn materialized – I was able to clutch at the door handle. I opened the door that had the looked like the fragment of the wall only with the handle, and found myself looking at another door – a white wooden door with a normal handle. I opened that door with the intention of the surface of the Moon being on the other side. By now the dream was very hazy, but I think I got through – the sky was black and the surface was gray. I think I started to shout something like “Is anybody from DV here?” but then everything went black. My mom and the office I found myself in an office. In one of the separate offices (there were glass walls) I saw my mom. She was talking with a Korean (my mom works at Samsung's branch) and another one, smaller it seemed, was standing behind the boss. The smaller Korean had something in his hands – a folder maybe? Anyway, I opened the door and walked into the office. The boss already started to look quite angry when he saw me. I presented myself as the daughter of his employee, Ginta Šulce, and said that I was glad to meet him (insert tiny sarcasm). I started saying something along the lines of “I'm very sorry, but I really need to talk to my mother,” and ushered both of them out of the room. Before the boss had realized what was happening I was already trying to lock the door, but unfortunately, I didn't make it in time, so we had a little struggle – he was trying to pry the door open while I was trying to close it and lock it. I was kinda successful, and since I was pretty sure that my mom there wasn't a DC but a real person, I wanted o show her the Moon. I said that she should still hold the door in case the lock wouldn't. In the meantime I had a white chalk in my hand again, and started hurriedly drawing the door, just as I did in the previous dream. The time I could open the first door sooner and behind the drawn door there was a brown wooden door. I was pretty sure I would be able to go to the Moon now, and take my mom with me, so I turned around and called for my mother. She was standing with with her left arm lifted, held by her right arm. She said “I broke it again.” (Just recently my mom had her cast removed from her left arm – she broke it while ice-skating – and she was still very unsure about the arm) I half lost the lucidness of the dream – that was how shocked I was. I completely forgot about the door to he Moon, and instead went up to the glass and started shouting at the Korean who was still trying to get into the office. I started shouting something like “You idiots, can't you see her arm's broken!!!” Everything wen black. The rainbow and the horses I found myself in my room again. It was sunny now outside. I pondered on things I could do now. I remembered the basic task of the month – to taste the rainbow. So I flew out from my window, landed, went around the house and saw a faint rainbow forming. I went up and let it flow into my mouth – the rainbow tasted like Skittles! The taste was so rich, I had a hard time pulling myself away from it. But I did, after a while. I mused about what to do next, and then I remembered my dream horses – I wanted to try out their names. I went out onto the street and summoned both of them. They galloped over so fast, that I had to catch and hold hem by their reins to make them stop. When they did, I asked them “What are your names?” They didn't answer so I asked first the black one “Can I call you Brecon?” and I could feel that the horse approved. Then I asked the white one “Can I call you Llmarei?” and the other horse too approved. (These names are actually taken from one of my favorite fan-fictions) Once again I thought – what could I do for the reminder of the dream? And decided to try to get to my school in the dream world, like I have done before. I ran to the main street and held up a red car. I got in the car and the driver, a fat middle-aged man, asked me where to. (I'm sure that he was a DC.) I said the name of the school, and after answering his next question – why did I choose this car (because I liked the color) – everything went black. The money garden I found myself on a path in my grandma's garden. Everything was in bleak colors, all of the flower beds were dug up, the same with all of the grass patches. It was as if the garden was turned into a vegetable garden, just to make money. There was a DC that looked like my grandma, working at one of the beds. Then another DC, who slightly reminded me of my grandpa, walked up to me from the forest part of the garden. I knew he was behind this, so I asked him, why did he do this. He didn't answer, just smiled evilly. That's when I knew, that even if it's a waste of a lucid, I needed to make the garden the way it was. So I made flowers grow everywhere, ruined the already grown vegetables, and smashed the two cars standing by the gate using telekinesis. I knew the DC would soon find out what I did. So I ran off to one of the neighboring houses that always had been like a dream safe-house to me. I went in, locked the door and went deeper into the house. There was a room with a lot of beds there, and there were a lot of DCs there too – all girls, having conversations about nothing. I sat down on one of the beds. And soon after that, everything faded to black.
06/03/2010 Non dream Dream Dream comment Semi-lucid The Masquarade I was in my room when my mum came in and told me that the masked party is going to start soon, and that I should better get ready. I was excited , and started to make my own costume, as in, like I usually do in my dreams. I wanted to try to make a catwoman costume, but started failing at it at the beginning. Can't decide whether it's a wasted lucid or not... The canyon It was the middle of summer and I was walking down a dirt road with some unfamiliar DC (I can't even remember it's gender). There was a grassy field on the left and a huge canyon on the right. And the DC was telling me that the canyon was made by some sausage company that had been working here a while ago. The bamboo forest and the battle This is the part of the dream I remember I was walking down a dirt road with 3 or 4 other people. There is a curve of road ahead of us, a shallow river is flowing by the road to the right, there is a bamboo undergrowth to our right with a normal forest seen further ahead and the rooftops of small houses sticking out of the bamboos further down the road. Everything was in vibrant colours. We were on a some kind of quest... Some guy from the group said that we should retreat to the forest or the guards will see us. We went through the undergrowth, following some kind of old path, and settled ourselves at the old tree-house just after the tree-line. Suddenly one of the guys, a young boy, dark-skinned, with brown eyes and black hair, said something about practising. Everybody said that that was a good idea, so I agreed. Then we were both on platforms and the first battle was like practise (we threw far-ranged weapons at each other and did spells too) and it ended with a tie. The next battle already was more like for life or death - the boy had an evil look in his eyes and an evil smile on his face. I wounded him a lot of times, but his magic attacks were poisonous so I lost - I think I died - and everything went black.
The was a sickness that was killing everyone. For some reason, a few of us couldn't be infected. We teamed up with the ones who weren't infected. Someone said something about us being vampires but eating a human diet. We had to wear gloves. That way we could be around humans without hurting them. If we touched them with our hands (even accidentally) they would die in a few minutes. We could be touched on our arms and stuff without problems. One in our group could fly and had this long staff that caught lightening so he could throw it as he pleased. Another could see the future. She saw them coming for us and told us all about them. Another had this motherly personality. She could get children to do what she said. (She touched children's hands to do this. She could only touch their hands or they would die.) She could also turn into a child or a child's toy at will, like a stuffed bear. Our leader was just great at organizing things. (I don't know what his powers were, but he had several.) We could all jump literally and figuratively to another place. (Except the girl who turned into a child and back.) I was the only one who could do it naturally and was teaching a few people. I could also jump in time, but I tried not to go too far forward or back. The ice cream men were coming to get us. They wore white pants and white button down t-shirts. They also had these white masks so you couldn't see their faces. They wanted to destroy everyone who wouldn't join their group. Even if you were in the group, you weren't guaranteed to live. If you didn't do what you were told or someone who was stronger than you didn't like you, they would kill you. Our leader told us one bag that we could carry and run with each. I think the humans were allowed a bigger bag. The humans were put on the bus, and the ones with powers ran near it and lead the way. (We had super speed and endurance.) We were all going north west, hopefully into Canada in a low population area. (We started in Texas or Arizona. I have no idea why. I've never been to any of those places. After we got there, things went peacefully for many years. (I have no idea where the people with powers were living. We could live really long though) It was so long that many generations of humans had been born and died of old age. They stopped talking about our history and began to fear us and want us gone. The had a group of army people come and stand in front of us in a cluster and shoot at us with shot guns. They refused to talk things out with our leader. They tried to shoot him, but the bullet just dropped to the ground before reaching him. I was told to shoot them in a way that would only wound them. (I could only shoot when I said bang for some reason. I also had really good vision. He said that was their warning. We ran. Eventually we stopped when we weren't being chased anymore. (We repacked our one bag before we left because we knew they were going to attack us before they did it. We didn't need to pack food, because we could survive on anything. I brought my laptop and an old answering machine that had the front missing. I like taking things apart, so I my have been the one who did that. I also brought things to color for the little girl, because she asked me to please help her pack things to help her color. I didn't know that she could change into an adult and be able to carry stuff. I have no idea what her actual age was.) We had lost them deep in the forest. (They were very superstitious.) We were going to fight back in groups. The leader was first at the edges of the forest. He was going to roar or something to scare away people so he didn't have to fight and kill them all. The guy with lightening was going to have lightening hit the lighthouse near the town. (Usually he collected it instead of letting it hit where they could see it.) Me and the girl (now about 20 looking) were gathering intelligence near where people leave town. We were bored and decided to go into town. She went in as a child. (This was the first time I saw her transform.) The town had really brightly colored houses. The guys wore black pants and white shirts. The girls wore brightly colored dresses, and some had aprons. (Even the kids looked like this, except the little boys had suspenders.) We were fitting in fine. Then, this kid yelled witch after looking at the gloves. We were chased out. We split up and managed to loose them and met at this stream that was only ankle deep. (We never mentioned meeting up at all and I've never seen the stream before in any dream or real life. I have no idea how we met up later.) There was this guy who was jumping off this rock into the stream. He shimmered a bit like he was about to jump somewhere else. He looked at me and his eyes looked like bright green lights for a second then went back to brown. He said he was practicing. I was afraid that we would be seen, so I took his hand and the girl's hand (she was now a teddy bear) and stood on the rock he was just on (they turned to a stack of books when I stepped on them) and got ready to jump. This lady came over and didn't look like she knew we were being chased by the whole town, so we sat down to read and pretend we were innocent. She told us she knew who I was and would yell and tell people unless I gave her my powers. (She didn't know that others had any and apparently didn't see the boy's attempts at jumping.) I tried to jump while holding on to the two others, but she put her hand on us. (Somehow she knew that she would come along if she did it.) I didn't want her to know where our hide out was or that there were others like us, so I jumped us to right next to where we were. Then, she was sitting in a red chair, and the rest of us were still standing holding hands. She was telling me to tell her my secret to doing it. The teddy bear turned back into a girl. While she was looking at us in shock, (she didn't know anyone else had powers) I took a jumped backward and jumped us away. Before I got to see where we landed, I woke up.

I don't remember waking up AT ALL last night. 1- Sumo Wrestler This dream takes place several years into the future. What ever endeavor my brother has set out to do didn't work, and he has returned in hopes of moving back in with my parents. They say that they were planning on someone else moving in, and he'd have to compete with the other guy to see who gets the extra room. "Fair enough, who is he?" Suddenly this HUGE sumo wrestler comes into the room and sits down at the table. I burst into laughter. 2- Elephants I am trying to get up a hill for some sort of quest, but there are predators all around, waiting to eat me. The only way I can get to the top is by traveling underneath a herd of elephants. ((What is it with me and elephants lately??? At least these weren't trying to kill me.)) 3- Mortal Mist Dream Games I make a post on MM, describing some dream games I came up with. I say that the games were inspired by The Cusp, because of a post he made about something similar. 4- Serenity Something vague about Serenity. We were talking about something, but I can't remember what. The annoying thing is, I remember having that feeling of excited realization that comes with being lucid, but I can't remember having a lucid dream at all! Maybe something during the day will make me remember.
Note: I fell asleep tonight with a couple of goals. My first goal was that I was going to meet MoSh's guide and talk to him for a bit. I also have the continuing goal of sharing a DDO dream with Tigress. While I did have a DDO dream, I didn't manage to share it with Tigress… I am also wanting to open the locked book I found in the Akashic Records (still haven't even tried) and complete a task of the month and… and… the list goes on and on. Time to get on with the dreams for this night… I was in a place I didn't recognize. It was a nice place. Green grass, trees… I could see houses not far off, so I wasn't sure if I was in someone's yard or not. If it was a yard, it was a very nice one. I started walking around in the yard. There was a pond there with some ducks in it. I wished I had some bread to feed them. There was a little girl watching the pond. She turned to me and smiled. She called me Raven and said if I was looking for MoSh, he was in the house. She headed for the house. I wasn't sure if she wanted me to follow her or not, but she quickly disappeared. I was unable to follow her, so I continued looking at the pond. It was very relaxing. "Raven?" came a voice from behind me. I turned to see who it was. It was MoSh! Right here with me! MoSh! I went over to see him. I told him I couldn't believe I was actually getting a chance to meet him IWL! I said I had met him many times in dreams, but never IWL! But here he was… and this wasn't a dream… or… um… I wasn't fully convinced that it wasn't a dream. I did a RC and found out I was dreaming. "Shit!" I said, "This is a dream!" I stopped and thought about that statement… it being a dream isn't a bad thing, that means I am now lucid in a dream. The only bad part was that I wasn't really meeting MoSh IWL. I told MoSh that it was a dream and asked if he knew it was a dream. I told him to do a RC, get lucid, and remember me! MoSh looked at his hand for a moment… then he said he wanted to talk to Victor. I asked who Victory was. He said it was his guide. I remembered the goal of finding MoSh's guide and talking to him. MoSh called him a couple of times. I wondered if Victor was able to hear MoSh just yelling. I scanned the area for energy signatures… ducks… fish… Asuka… Shawna… someone I didn't recognize! The energy of the person I didn't recognize didn't seem hostile… and it was heading towards MoSh and me, so I just had to wait for a bit. I waited for a bit while MoSh was still calling, and soon a man appeared in front of us. The man had dark hair that was down to about the bottom of his ears, he had a short beard, he had on a pair of glasses at the time and peered at MoSh over the top of those glasses. He told MoSh he didn't have to call so loud, just do it telepathically. He looked over at me. He asked what MoSh needed. MoSh introduced me to the man, who was Victor, MoSh's current guide. MoSh said he wanted to talk to Victor, but he probably wouldn't remember it… Victor just looked at MoSh strangely. MoSh asked Victor what the plan was. Victor asked what plan. MoSh said what did Victor have planned for him. Victor laughed a bit and said he hadn't come here with a plan all laid out and intentions to force MoSh to go one particular way. He said his only goal was to help MoSh as he travels along his path of discovery… but where that path would lead would be entirely MoSh's choosing. MoSh asked why he didn't seem to be able to get lucid lately. Victor said MoSh shouldn't stress so much about becoming lucid. He said that stress alone is enough to hinder MoSh from becoming lucid. MoSh didn't seem to appreciate that answer. He said that was easy for Victor to say not to stress about it, but not so easy to do. Victor said it is worth a try, meditation and relaxation, because stress is a hindrance to lucidity. Victor said if there is something important to be done, MoSh is perfectly capable of doing it in his deep dreaming state, just relax and let the dreams flow to him, and he would begin to recognize the distinct feeling of the dream plane. Victor said if MoSh wanted to be lucid more often, he needs to be more aware of everything around him, but in dreaming and in waking. Subtle clues will always give the dream state away… differences in locations if MoSh was traveling to a parallel world… a different feeling when MoSh wasn't in his physical body but just in his dream body. He said becoming more aware of everything around MoSh would work like a constant reality check, so he would immediately notice any inconsistency that might signal that it is a dream. MoSh shook his head and said reality checks don't work for him. Victor asked if that meant MoSh was refusing to do any RCs. MoSh repeated that RCs don't work for him. Victor said this isn't so much of a RC method as a method of recognizing the distinct feel of the dream plane. He said MoSh should take a short time IWL to just take in everything his senses can receive, see how everything feels… then, once in the habit of taking a moment to just feel what his senses can tell him, MoSh would do that in a dream, and the feeling would be distinctly different. He said MoSh is already doing that sometimes, the times where he finds himself spontaneously lucid without ever having questioned reality. He said that is where MoSh's subconscious recognizes the different feel of the dream. He said it should help for MoSh to use that technique consciously. MoSh looked over at me. He didn't seem too pleased. He said he'd been hoping to get something useful out of his guide… I commented that he should be lucid right now… he said nope, he wasn't. That statement made no sense… how could he realize he was speaking to his guide in a dream and not consider himself lucid? I told him he was dreaming, so become lucid now. Do a RC. He looked at his hand for a bit, then pointed at Victor with his pinky. Victor's appearance changed into a spectral cloud of energy. Blues and whites flashed around inside Victor. MoSh stopped pointing and Victor went back to his normal form. Victor was looking at MoSh strangely. I said now all MoSh needed to do was remember this dream, and maybe take a moment to see how the dream feels. He looked at me and said he wouldn't remember the dream. I asked why not. He said he wouldn't, then he disappeared. D'Oh! Where had he gone? Woken up? I looked at Victor for a bit before I woke.
Note: A few more fragments of dreams from last night… *Government Goons* I was flying around, it seemed like I was continuing the previous dream. I still didn't realize it was a dream. I felt like I had spent quite some time using these powers I had discovered to help everyone. I had averted several disasters, stopped some assholes from releasing a bio-toxin that would have killed every living thing within a 100 mile radius of where it was released, cleaned up some pollution that was harming a group of whales and sunk a whaling boat… basically I had earned myself quite a name (even though they didn't even know my name) as a hero all around that planet. I received a call from help from a building, something about setting off a dirty bomb… so I went to check it out. When I got there, however, there was no bomb, no threat, just a bunch of idiots in suits. Government lackeys. One of them said he hadn't known how else to get me to come. I was annoyed at him for the false alarm. He said he had to talk to me, it was important. I figured I'd listen a bit… He continued talking and basically said he wanted me to work for the government. Um… no. I said I would like for him go over to the window I had broken to get in and jump out, but was that likely to happen? The office was on the 54th floor of a skyscraper… The man said for me to be reasonable, there was a lot of money in it for me. Money? He was pissing me off. I wasn't interested in money! What would I need money for? I told the jerk to go fuck himself. I headed for the broken window. The man was behind me, demanding that I stop. He grabbed my robes (I was dressed as an Assassin) as I was taking flight, lost his balance, and fell out of the window. I realized that when I heard him screaming on his way down. I looked just in time to see him hit the ground with a sickening THUD noise. He was, of course, dead. So he had walked to the broken window and jumped out after all… *Eegee's Pub* I was on the street in a downtown area. It was a normal looking city, could have easily been any city in the US or in multiple places around the world. I was feeling kind of hungry. I wanted something to eat. I went around a corner and I spotted an Eegee's sandwich shop there. A nice sub sandwich sounded good. I looked in my pocket and saw that I had some money in my pocket. I had a twenty dollar bill, so I went into the Eegee's to get some food. Inside the restaurant I looked around at the posted ads on the walls to see what kind of sandwich looked good. I was wondering what drink I wanted with it. I saw a poster for drinks. There were several kids holding various alcoholic drinks. I saw my mother was in the Eegees. I asked her if kids should be used to advertise alcohol? My mom said it was no big deal since the kids were drinking the virgin forms of the drinks. *We All Scream for Ice Cream* I was in a mansion. It was clearly obvious that the people living there had a lot of money. Everything was so fancy. I wondered why I was there. I wasn't lucid, and I was hoping I wouldn't get in trouble for trespassing. A man came downstairs. He looked right at me… then away. Either my presence there was completely acceptable or he didn't see me at all somehow. I followed him. He went into a dining room. He sat down at the end of a large dining table with two children. A boy and a girl. He rang a bell, and a maid brought them ice cream sundaes. Those looked delicious. The man passed one to each child, kept one, then asked the maid what she had brought for herself. She looked confused. The man said in this job, she would have to get used to things. When he asked for food to be prepared, she was automatically invited to join them in eating it. The hired help was always invited to take meals with the family. The more, the merrier, was what he always said. The maid looked a bit uneasy, but she went and brought back a sundae for herself. She sat down with the others to eat it. At first she looked really uneasy, but soon all four of them were talking like a happy family. It was then that I noticed a little girl hiding behind the curtain at the far end of the room. I immediately knew she was an orphan. She was hiding in the walls and attic of the house for shelter, stealing food from the family to eat… but what she really wanted was a family. So she just stood there, looking longingly at the happy family eating ice cream, silently crying. I was also certain that if the man were to see her he would welcome her to the table to share ice cream with them. I found out no one could see me at all… but I could have some effect on things. Just enough to create a draft which blew the curtains away from the little girl, revealing her hiding place. The man spotted her, and she immediately looked terrified. The man took what was left of his sundae with him and slowly approached the girl. He was trying to coax her out. He finally set the dish of ice cream down and backed away, still encouraging the girl to come out.
I try to banish a spirit in the name of God. It works about as well as you'd expect. I'm at a train station, even though I'm sure that just a second ago, I was actually on my train. I shrug it off and try to get on the next one, but the conductor informs me that they don't allow dogs. I crouch down and hug my golden retriever, and we both stare up at him with sad puppy-eyes. The man rolls his eyes and tells me that I'll be able to get on the next train. I thank him and walk back to the platform, where the people I'm travelling with are waiting. Fortunately, they have to wait for the next train as well. We're on the train, but something's wrong. After a bit of investigation, we conclude that the entire train is haunted. Our team of Scooby-Doo-like investigators tracks it to its source - a bathroom in one of the sleeper cars. I'm chanting nonsense Latin, "Omnipitus spiritus, omnipitus draco lux."* I repeat the chant, but it doesn't seem to be working. In fact, the haunting seems to be getting worse, black smoke sneaking in through cracks in the bathroom mirror. The black smoke manifests over the vanity, and I catch a glimpse of a little boy in the mirror. The smoke lashes out at my companions, and distantly, I can sense the utter terror that they're beginning to feel. The girls are frozen, unable to move, and I... I just feel hungry. I've forgotten about the chant, and I fall silent and step toward the smoke. It shies away from me, tendrils retreating where I try to touch. No, that won't do at all. My hands lay at my side, but I'm latching onto the energy with my mind, pulling it toward me, devouring it. The black energy fades into my cloudy black and red aura, but I feel just a tiny wisp escape. The girls are catatonic, and I ignore them, stepping silently through the train cars, looking for my quarry. I see a white rabbit, my childhood pet, hopping through one of the train cars. I pick him up, but he starts squealing and twisting in my arms, trying to get away. He's scratching up my forearms and I wonder, dimly, if he's afraid of the dark presence that's been haunting the train. No, I realize. The last wisp of the ghost has possessed my rabbit. I pull the last bit of dark energy out of the animal, and consume it. The rabbit goes still. I try to resurrect him, but organs start to leak out of his belly, and the stitching is coming apart. *** "Can you help me?" says the boy. I'm possessing a ten-year old. Go me. Apparently, the White Council is after us, probably for something I did. Apparently you're not supposed to kill people in this world? Dresden comes back wearing some sort of ceremonial mask. I'm not paying attention, so the boy freaks out and runs away. He tries to hide in a storage closet, but Dresden catches the door and takes off his mask. "It's just me, kid." I take over and tell him that "I knew that". I'm Dresden, now. I'm inside my office, talking to Murphy. I say something about the White Council. I'm about to do something really stupid, and it'll probably involve explosions. Exorcisms. Scare Factor: 4. *Apparently, this is really close to the actual exorcism I was going for: ""Exorcizamus te, omnis immundus spiritus, omnis satanica potestas, omnis incursio infernalis adversarii, omnis legio, omnis congregatio et secta diabolica..."

In which Dad's driving lands the family in deep water. I think I saw this on Mythbusters once. "Are you ready to go?" "Give me five minutes, Dean - I just got off work." I head inside and pull off my white t-shirt, and get changed into a black t-shirt and jeans. When I come back outside, Dean (and his dad's truck) are gone. I call Sam, because Dean never answers his phone. He's laughing at me. "Did he just ditch you again?" "Apparently. That bitch." *** Uncle Roy and his daughter, Natasha (who appears to be about three, here), are running up backwards escalators that are taking them to our family reunion. I join in, jumping over railings and taking the most efficient route. I'm at the house, looking over the food table for vegetarian stuff. A younger version of myself is standing on the other side of the room. I go over to talk to zir*, but zie's avoiding me. Eventually we have to pose for a picture together, arms thrown across each other's shoulders. Well, the universe didn't explode, so we're doing fine. I think up elaborate reasons as to why there are two of us, but I don't remember what they were. *** I'm in the car with my dad and Roy's three daughters. They're all under ten in this dream. We're driving through a city, maybe Halifax, and I'm giving my dad directions from the back seat. "Okay, now you're in the wrong lane," I tell him. "Turn right here." The road takes us down to the harbour, and I tell my dad to turn left. Instead, he decides to do a powerslide down the dock. Oh god, oh god, we're all going to die. We've almost made it to 180 degrees, and I decide to trust my dad, because he's a better driver than I am, really. I'm still gripping tight onto the seat, watching the world spin around us. The momentum throws the car right off the dock. We land with a splash in the deep water, and I have a moment of disbelief. Seriously, my brother just totalled our last car.** Now this? I'm searching for my bag, knowing that there's something important in there. Found it. I'm holding a flashlight. My dad tells me to aim for the window controls next to me, and smash them with the flashlight. Three of us start pounding away at our respective window-ledges with our respective flashlights. I stop for a second and see pedestrians on the boardwalk, watching us dumbly. The car is half full of water by now, and I hope one of them has the sense to dial 911. I smash through the controls and the important wire. The window disappears. I help the girls out of the car, as the water has almost reached the window. I slide out of the window, and my dad is right behind me. I swim to the dock and pull an unresponsive (but physically unharmed) Natasha from the water. Later, I talk to someone about the reason I didn't panic. I shrug and tell him that I figured someone would rescue us if we couldn't get out. He's doubtful, but I tell him that it didn't have to be true - it was something I told myself so I'd be able to function. Sinking Cars. Scare Factor: 4. *ILU, gender-neutral pronouns. **No, really.
(I'm in college now, and I haven't been back home with my parents for over a year. It's a really long story.) I was back in the room I used to share with my sister until I was 10 and got my own room. I got up out of bed in the middle of the night, went to look in the bathroom mirror, and went downstairs. This one guy I ate lunch with most of last year was there. He was inviting me hiking with the rest of anime club and wanted my parent's permission before he asked me. Then, I was in that bedroom again. I was alternating between laying in bed and packing for hiking. There was no transition between the two. I blinked and switched from lights on and packing to lights off and laying in bed. I also wasn't wearing pants most of the dream for some reason. When I was downstairs was the only time I had pants.
Well I feel stupid for not going lucid last night...I thought about lucid dreaming multiple times, but I never thought about doing a reality check or even just questioning my surroundings' authenticity...even though I was in anything but normal places all night long. Even so, my dream recall is improving once again, as I can remember three different dreams this time. None of them can I remember in full, but it's definitely progress! And actually, as far as detail was concerned, there wasn't a whole lot to remember...strangely enough, all of my dreams last night were very simplistic in colorization and geometry. Buildings were flatly-colored boxes that occasionally took upon a bit of a texture when I got close. Vast fields were flat planes with little shading, never mind individual blades of grass. There wasn't even much of a sky to speak of; just a solid hue that eventually faded into existence somewhere off in the vast expanse of the dreamworld. Anyway, on to the dreams. Dream 1: I found myself to be Peter Petrelli in a city that was in big trouble. Huge mechs with guns were approaching the city boundaries, and it was clear what they intended to do: wipe out anything that got within ten feet of them. I used my various powers to rally up soldiers and pedestrians alike to help in preparing defenses for the place, but the mechs struck before we could finish putting the last reinforcements in place. Rather than let everyone be crushed with fear from the apparent failure, I used Mohinder's power (which false memory told me I had acquired) to jump across rooftops and freerun in impossible ways in order to reach a wall that was hanging in midair by a crane. In one motion, I jumped, pulled out a knife, cut the crane's cord, and then hung on to it as I watched the wall collapse on top of the approaching mechs. That did raise people's spirits for a while, but it didn't exactly change the tide of the war. It took a long while, but eventually everyone had been killed...soldiers and regular people alike. They just couldn't survive without powers like I had. So it was just me and the mechs. I refused to give in, even though it felt as if there was nothing left to fight for. Somehow or another I took out one of the remaining mechs, and eventually I got around to another. Then it was down to just one mech and me. But this last mech was the biggest one of them all. I hid around a corner and tried to peek around to watch its movements. All I got was a bunch of bullets nearly hitting me in the side of the face. Its reactions apparently were incredibly quick, too. I hid for quite some time, always dodging its presence...but sooner or later I got tired of waiting, so I jumped up onto the roof of the building in front of me, ran across the top, and then jumped for the mech, crying a vicious war cry all the way. We collided, and... I honestly have no idea how that dream ended. Seriously, that's all I remember. I know there was more to it; I didn't wake up right then, but what happened is lost on me. Dream 2: Had a false awakening. And a flood of false memories. My brain told me that I had been in a science test lab for a couple days and that they had developed a machine that could record your memories in full audio and video as you went to sleep. When I got out of the test bed and unhooked a bunch of sensory cables from my head, I went to the machine and started to replay the video from the beginning. I could hear my thoughts wandering and see a few minor images fading in and out of the blackness that began the sleep cycle. At first the thoughts made some sense, but then, gradually, they began to make less and less sense, and be less disorganized. Before long, my thoughts were all very scattered. Then things went silent, and the dream began to appear on the monitor. What was really interesting about that one is that the video was accurate to real life. As it 'replayed' everything for me, I honestly did remember thinking some of the things it had recorded. I think I honestly did tap into some deep and hidden memory of what went on as I fell asleep, and was able to bring it back in full detail in the form of a monitor inside another dream. Fascinating, actually. Dream 3: There was a huge family get-together. We went all over the place; restaurants, parks, possibly even a movie theater. And then we decided to go on a joyride in a big plane. Except as it turned out, only my dad and I were on the plane once we got on board. Other than that, it was totally empty. The plane took off and I looked out the window, and suddenly this great frustration grew inside me. "Flying is so much more enjoyable in a lucid dream." I said. "You don't need an airplane to fly, then. You're just free. It just feels frustrating to need an airplane; to be flying, but not out in the open." At first I tried to just enjoy the ride anyway, but I couldn't. I told my dad (who was also the pilot) to land, and I got off, angry at my inability to fly how I would prefer to. Dumbo...if you'd just realized where you were, you could have flown!!! Argh...
I've had a few dreams about rough looking wolves that bare their teeth at me. I've been studying lucid dreams for over 5 years now, and it even astonishes me to say that i still learn new things about it and learn new ideas/things you can do in the unconscious realm. I really want to have another lucid dream but it seems the harder i try, the further it gets from my grasp. A few nights ago i had a dream that i was in the woods somewhere on a cliff, by water. i had a slight sense of lucidity but felt i had to reach a destination via one of these paths through the woods. And there were soo many trees, i remembered they looked thin, stringy and very tall. I was running down a path and there was this sort of cave that seemed to lead to a whole nother set of secret paths. I went into the cave and encountered a wolf, it bared its teeth at me. I thought about how it might hurt to get bit by it, and i felt threatened, i was eating one of those push-up suckers (don't know where that came from, haven't even seen those in a while) and i let the wolf smell it, then i threw it as if to distract it so that i could continue on the path. I did some research [The Illustrated Dream Dictionary by: pamela ball] and it says that 'dreaming of any threat from sinister animals indicates fears and doubts the dreamer has over the ability to cope with the stirrings of the unconscious' wow... that suites because i am a little afraid of what i might learn/ come to face in the unconsciousness.
