    1. A Boost In Awareness

      by , 12-23-2010 at 05:59 AM
Had two lucid dreams last night.

Compared to my previous LDs, it seemed I had made a huge step in terms of awareness, clarity and control.

I performed a WBTB, stayed up for about 40minutes, and told myself that when I lucid dream, Im going to take it easy, and just walk and let my mind do the rest.

I became lucid while walking through a valley. A lot was happening, including Dinosaurs ravaging houses (?), but I was calm, kept walking. I came around the corner of a cliff to see literally the most beautiful valley I have ever seen. I clibed a tree to get a better view, asked myself to increase clarity - it was stunning.
The tree then bent backwards and propelled me into the sky. I floated for a few seconds - which was amazing - then fell, waking me up.

The second dream, I seemed to have spawned myself in a closed off area on a grass field - almost like a small metropolised centre, the area of a house - with a wild, but looked after "Wildlife Sanctuary" outside of the perimeters. I was there with my best friend.

I kept telling him that this was a dream, he kept rejecting it as if he didnt want to hear it. They were these fascinating creatures, about 9 of them, about 50m away from us, which resembled the monsters from Where The Wild Things are, although a lot more savage and native.

My vision started to blur, and I said "Increase clarity now" - my friend stopped talking and stared at me, as if his "switch" was turned completely off for a few seconds. He then began to talk again, I turn and my vision, aswell as my dream scene had improved ten-fold. I observes for about 15 more minutes before waking.

Truly amazing, in terms of my lucid dreaming history - I feel as though Ive climbed a huge step towards full awareness and control!

      Bring on tonight!

    2. Mackinaw Air-Stairs

      July 4, 2008

I was at a high school that had the theme of Hogwart's (kind of) and I was trying to find my brother to give him a book. The high school was built out of amber colored stone with big pillars and bridges. I then went to a big majestic building that looked like the Taj Mahal. The sky was bright, sunny, and blue. A man with a long white beard then just said out of nowhere, "Spin the Stones." What then happened, was that the big building started rotating very slowly. Just imagine the Taj Mahal on a sunny day and it is tilting slowly like the leaning tower of Pisa. Here is a picture to best describe the scenery. The weird thing is that I had this dream in 2008 and had no idea what the Taj Mahal was at the time. And this picture looks exactly how it did in my dream. Also, just imagine a humongous glass dome above this palace.AIM-taj-mahal.jpg
Anyways, after the man said, "Spin the stones," it sounded like a bunch of gigantic rotating gears like in a clock were turning. I looked up and there was a boy chained to the top of the dome by his wrists just hanging there. I could not see his face because his long brown hair was covering it. He started to clench and fidget like he was in pain, for he was, and shed one tear. The tear rolled down his face and dropped on the tip of the big building. The tear quickly rolled down the smooth stone and kept going until it slid frictionless on the white stone floor and into the water. (My dream camera angle changed to underwater still watching the droplet at this point.) The droplet turned into a water fish and swam until it went inside a black hole in the wall. Then the water burst out and turned into little tiny colored creatures. They looked like they were made up of little geometric 3-d shapes and they had little faces on them. They formed a stairway with air supporting them. This phenomenon that just happened stuck in my mind as what is called a Mackinaw. I have no idea what it means but that's what it was called in my dream. So yeah. After that its foggy.
    3. Trapped at the End of the Corridor of Darkness

      by , 09-10-2010 at 12:58 AM
I was in some sort of game, and I had become stuck in this very long corridor stretching off far into the distance, into the darkness. I was near the entrance to the corridor, from outside. The corridor had no ceiling, but other than that it was a large, rectangular stone corridor. The stone was worn, it looked like it had been there since the beginning of time.

Anyways, in order to teleport to some location to continue the game, I had to eat a number of corrupted peas. Let me explain... vines covered some parts of the corridor's interior, and pea pods grew on the vines... every once in a while (the distribution was random) you would find a peapod that was dull red, with short purple vine-ish protrusions coming out of the ends... these were corrupted peapods. Apparently dark energy had leached into them. The number of corrupted peas I had to eat was enormous, 120 I believe, and the corrupted pods were so infrequent that I lamented ever finding enough to consume 120... however, with a few minutes of exploration I discovered that the corrupted pods appeared with an ever-increasing frequency the further you went down the corridor. I should have turned back then, but my oblivious non-lucid self kept walking, leaving the entrance further and further behind... remember that the corridor was open air, so I wasn't walking into pitch-darkness, but I sort of was, because after a while suddenly there seemed to be a roof, and even though it wasn't pitch pitch black I still got the feeling that I was walking closer and closer to some source of darkness at the end (and I mean that both literally, as in dark, and figuratively, as in evil).

I trotted happily along, collected corrupted pods to absent-mindedly pick open and eat the corrupted peas while I walked... eventually I felt as if I was no more than 100 feet from the end of the tunnel. I saw a side chamber, and felt an evil presence approaching from the end of the corridor... instinctively, I ducked into the side-chamber. I watched in hushed silence as a being of darkness floated past the entrance to the side chamber where I was hiding... my memory is a bit blurry here, but it looked like some sort of humanoid form composed of white and black flames. When I saw it, I got the instant feeling that it was a "lost soul," an "empty soul," a "hollow soul." And I also know that it would kill me if I alerted it to my presence.

When it was sufficiently far away, I exited the side chamber (interestingly enough, I had found my IRL neighbor's cat in there, that was the only non-creepy part of this whole dream hehe)... anyways, I exited the side chamber and walked briskly down the corridor once again, determined by some sort of mad curiosity to reach the end and see what was there. I found a glass push-door. I pushed it open, went in, and found myself in a very ordinary building. The whole building was one large room, with couches and bookshelves and other furniture. It was very large, and had massive wall-windows that let in sunlight from outside. There was no one in it. I sat down, wondering about this turn of events, wondering if it was some sort of illusion. It was all o innocuous.

Then I saw Y (IRL friends will be referred to by the first letter of their first name) with a bunch of her friends, J, and a bunch of other people I recognized, all walking down the corridor. They were talking and looked as if they had all been going down the corridor exploring together (I saw them approaching through the glass door from inside the building). I looked and saw that, at least to my eyes, they were all wearing black (I got a slight feeling that only I was seeing this, and in each other's eyes they were all wearing normal clothes). They opened the door and walked in as a group, and suddenly...

*An episode of missing time occurs here, it doesn't feel like the dream just skipped ahead though, it feels as if the missing time was an actual part of the dream and something happened in between and we were all made to forget what took place, like it was cut out of our memory)*

...suddenly we were all outside, in these gorgeous mountains that surrounded the building. Tables were placed everywhere outside, elegant wood dining tables, and they all had a lavish assortment of delicious food on them... the whole scene was backdropped by a magnificent mind-shattering sunset that was happening everywhere, in all the sky somehow, like the sun was at multiple points in the sky and was setting at many points in the horizon simultaneously. It was like a symphony of color.

Suddenly, I had a horrible epiphany.

I don't know where it came from, but suddenly everything fell into place and made sense.

I hurriedly clambered up to a table that my friend J was sitting at, with a blonde girl across from him. I sat at the table, ate some food, then leaned to him and told him what I thought "J," I said, "we're all going to be trapped forever here, eating this food in this sunset for all eternity."

It was all an illusion. I had had a sudden feeling, and I'm convinced that it was true, that in reality we were all lying unconscious in that building (which probably looked very different than the sunlit room which it had appeared like to me) with shadow creatures feeding off of us, feeding off of our energy.

The mountains, the tables, the delicious food, the table settings, the light, the sunset... it was all in our heads.

It was like the Matrix, but more horrifying somehow.

J turned to me, a worried look on his face as he began to comprehend what I had just said. He started to examine his surroundings, a look of horror creeping onto his face...

And then the dream ended (thankfully).

If it had lasted longer, I probably would have told everyone else there and then tried to find a way to escape from our mental prison and fight the creatures off (when we had returned to what was reality in the dream, rather than the fake sunset world, I mean), then leave the Corridor of Darkness and never return.
    4. The Cenchrus Race

      by , 08-10-1978 at 02:10 PM
Night of August 10, 1968 (and after - environment was similar in the last section of the “Ocean Carousel” entry). Saturday.

Summary: I explore a mostly teal-colored submarine/oil-rig/warehouse composite and see periscopes of all sizes and eventually meet anthropomorphic sandspurs (also written as sand spurs and sandburs). When making the trip from Wisconsin to Florida at about a year younger than here, I sometimes dreamt of anthropomorphic vegetables in mostly featureless canyon-like surroundings or near cliffs.

This is related to the environment and location I described at the end of the “Ocean carousel entry”. It is the odd teal-colored and primarily metal structure that is seemingly linked to a beach or possibly as being somewhat like a larger, more complex oil rig. In this dream, there are more submarine features than before, including electrical boxes of some kind.

The little, I assume rooms, are somewhat reminiscent of larger (older style) refrigerators with a slightly curved door (vertically on each side) other than the square vents at about face-level, which are like larger horizontal slats of venetian blinds. As I said, even the metal-grill staircases are mostly of a teal color.

Although the first “version” of this fictional location was unpopulated (other than myself) this one has creatures of some kind. This environment, though the same as the other, seems less realistic, somehow.

It mostly starts out as being watched by (or rather, with) various types of periscopes (all vertical), which remind me vaguely of chimneys from some sort of elusive fictional animated movie. The periscopes range from almost drinking-straw-like to larger than a rain gutter. Eventually, after noticing eyes of various sizes in the external periscopes lenses, there are porcupine-like creatures that are like orange sandspurs with short legs (and I think with arms - at least one carrying a harpoon).

I guess I am “invading” their territory by their suppositions. This is certainly not my intent as who wants to be around porcupine-like “people” anyway? Not me. They apparently do not speak English yet there is a slight murmuring - I get the sense they speak Brazilian Portuguese. I accidentally step on one’s foot but that does not instigate a fight or conflict. In some ways, I am not even sure if these were of the eyes watching from the periscopes originally, or a different type of creature sent out to just check for them. The creatures seem confused. I almost sense a mental shrugging from them as a group. The one with the harpoon may or may not be a leader. The harpoon is reminiscent of a giant sewing machine needle. I leave the area without drama and without being stopped or chased.

I eventually make my way to the beach by going up various metal structures, all mostly like steps of slightly different steepness. I sort of fall forward onto the shore. There are ancient-looking “starfish” that are more like star-shaped rocks with spirals in the center, although I think they mostly have more than five legs, perhaps six to eight each. Two are stuck together as if originally formed that way (one side into the top of another or some such).

    5. "Diamond Crawlers"

      by , 05-25-1975 at 10:40 AM
Morning of May 25, 1975. Sunday.

Background information: This dream seemed to relate to simultaneous associations of seeing razor blades as primarily dangerous combined with a concern about becoming ill from mosquito bites as well as leeches. There was also a brief incident at Lake Katherine where a few other teenagers (at least one wearing a razor blade as a pendant), walking by when our class was on a field trip, made threats about using a razor blade to slice up our backsides. The female teacher looked worried but did not react and the others just kept walking. I am not aware of anyone being killed in this dream, though the idea seems very plausible. My concern is possibly minimal due to wearing a repellent (such as “Off”) of some kind, though I believe it is a special type of “cologne” in my dream (and even this potential was possibly influenced from a television commercial about “Off”).

This is not a more pronounced nightmare (I am not fully active in it nor emotionally bothered in any sense, although I am actually fully in-body in my Cubitis front yard for the most part, near the culverts that are about one-third filled with water), but it is a somewhat negative dream about a type of “giant flying one-celled animal” like a protozoa (though they are about the size of large moths and likely not one-celled relative to real-life logic), that attack and supposedly somehow eat people when rising out of culvert water and flying in groups of twenty or more (and it seems they live mostly in the water of the culverts or ponds as well as slightly flooded areas of parts of lawns). They have one maneuver where they tip sideways, mostly on the diagonal and moving about in a horizontal semicircular arc as such.

I am not entirely sure why I decided to call this dream “Diamond Crawlers” back in the mid-1970s in my original dream journal entry, as they never crawled anywhere much; they mostly just rose from shallow water (when people were around) and flew around in a diamond-shape formation and were vaguely reminiscent of a diamond in form and body appearance. They resemble a transparent leech, shaped somewhat like a rounded-off truncated plus sign, but longer along the length than the winglike protruding sides (which is akin to an airplane having very short wings and is not realistically feasible), with the mostly translucent pattern of a glass-like razor blade in mid-body. Calling this dream “Razor Blade Flyers” would have made more sense, I suppose, but sounds ridiculous in afterthought. It is possible I was thinking of diamondback snakes at the time and just threw that absentmindedly into my dream’s title.

The new image I made does not do justice to their transparent nature, but is fairly close otherwise.
