    1. 6 Jul: Jumping lucid through dreams, all in dark white rooms

      non-dream dream semi-lucid lucid FA / AP

I am in a small dark room, white walls, old furniture. There is a table and two chairs and Riverstone is sitting behind the table, against the wall, with his head pending down and acting bizarre. I am lucid and try to figure if he is real or a shady DC. I say something but he is unresponsive. I tell him I know he is not real, so I am going to play with him a little bit. He then reacts, but I still can tell he is not really Riverstone and I actually feel he is becoming threatening to me. So I shrink him to the size of a bug and pick him from the floor. Now he is putting on a fight. I put him on the table and tell him it will be fine, I'll bring him back to normal size, but as I do it, he turns into a black snake and I stop resizing him, because I don't wanna face a giant black snake.
I turn away to the door and just leave. At the next room I see my dog Hachi, but also Bernardo and some other stranger dog. Hachi is happy to see me, but then the other two start fighting in the background and instead of him defending Bernardo, he joins in attacking him. I scream in horror, but then tell myself it is just a nightmare and turn away. I plunge into the wall, I wander through darkness for a while and then come out at another dark room, very much the style of the previous two. I hear noise outside the door and open it. Looks like a cprridor of some vintage looking hostel. Some kid from another room to my left is also peaking out, sleepy. Tells me something as if I am supposed to know what he is talking about. I go to the lobby and from there goes a stairway to a living room in the basement, which is full of youngsters having fun, just like som hostel I stayed in Japan once. I am not interested, so I choose to go out to the street. There is a street market, which reminds me somewhere I have been in Germany. I recognize the memory, love reliving the details.
Then hear some guys talking about getting laid and whose lady from the hostel tourists they are going to bang. They spot me and start acting menacing, like they are considering to rape me, so I try to get away from them by climbing a rope that is hanging with clothes from the top of a passageway over the street, and I run up a hill. End up in another strange house, that looks abandoned, almost like a windmill, but it is inhabited by 3 girls. One looks like Natalie Portman. They are nice and invite me in. They are having like a slumber party, all lounging over a bed and sharing chocolates while talking about this and that. They offer me chocolate, I say no and they find strange. So then I go on and on explaining my aversion to choclate since I was little.
    2. Expedition to a freezing alien world + LD 106 - Lego Aliens

Expedition to a freezing alien world

I'm on a massive spaceship. It's like a little moon, absolutely huge. We've made our way out of the Milky Way galaxy and reached a system we want to explore. We haven't encountered life yet, but the first planet we land on is extremely hostile.

We lose half of the crew instantly, systems are dying all around the ship. I pilot one shuttle and a crewmate pilots another. We have to fly to another part of the ship now that the systems are dead. Outside the ship there's a storm and the temperature is just some odd Kelvins, it's incredibly cold. I watch the wind slamming the other shuttle down to a liquid nitrogen "river" that the storm has created. I hear the pilots screams as the shuttle is quickly destroyed. I struggle to get to my destination too. Seems like this is the end.

Then the dream skips. I'm inside the ship again, with one of the last surviving crew members, a strong willed woman. We are in the medbay and she tells the computer to unlock the vampiric systems. I have no idea what that means. I notice a futuristic blood pressure monitor and test it out. When I activate it, the wrap cuff builds itself around my arm. My blood pressure and pulse are pretty high.

LD 106 - Lego Aliens Personal goal attempt #18
I'm a massive observer in space around Earth. I'm bigger than the planet. I see a space station in Earth's orbit and a portal opens far away. Aliens from another galaxy are invading. Instead of using weapons, the alien ships slam one by one into the station's shields. The shields hold, but the alien ship just make a big loop like a boomerang and hit it again. This repeats until the shields are destroyed and the station starts falling apart.

Awareness rises from my subconscious. It's like a whisper saying "You're dreaming" gently reached me. Lucidity changes the scene. I find myself in my childhood home, in the kitchen. The alien ships from before are floating in the kitchen. They look to be made from legos. I raise my hand towards them and try to pull them apart. One of my goals is to use dream powers without any unnecessary tricks. I can't do it. I sit down to meditate. I tell myself out loud "I'm a lucid dreamer" and try to remind myself of my role in the dream. My thoughts are not focused though. I get up and try destroy the ships again. They shrink down. Good enough for me. I crush one of the ships with my foot for good measure.

Alright, time for my personal goal. I first think I should go outside, but rethink and just go to the closest door. It's the door to my brother's old room. I close it and imagine the Frozen Planet being on the other side. I enter without looking, one bare foot first. I want to feel snow before I look. I do feel snow, but when I look, it's just the backyard covered in snow. I close the door and try again. I look behind me and focus for a second on all the details of the dream. Beautifully detailed. I see through the other windows that there's now snow outside. I step through the door again with one foot. I feel snow and look in, now it's a dark, unfamiliar room with broken windows and snow blowing in through ragged curtains. Since I don't recognize it, I believe this is it. This room is on the Frozen Planet! All I need to do is to go through the wall to see the planet. I wake up.

      DILD

      Recall: decent

Notes: This was a long dream, but my recall has slumped a bit recently.

It all started back in Oak Park. I was wandering around with two friends at nighttime, and we approached my middle school. There was a lot of action going on around; police were everywhere. We found out that people suspected a shooting was about to take place. We decided to go in and stop it. My two friends were wearing bullet-proof vests, but I didn't have one. They were some bounty hunter type people. People around think I am crazy for walking in there unarmed and unprotected.

So we split up and look for anything suspicious. I wander the halls for awhile, while occasionally peaking into classrooms and checking out students. After like 10 min of this, I end up on the 4th floor. There is a skinny white kid looking very sketchy; he even had a trench coat for Gods sake. He saw me and the other cops around and was still acting funny. I thought that he wasn't the shooter because he was being so blatantly obvious about hiding something.

My 2 friends show back up and want to head out. I say I'll leave too, but I just want to see how this kid turns out. I still didn't believe he had anything, but I would be a bad cop if I let this sketchy dude go unchecked. I look back and he is getting in someone's face and pulls out a silver gun. I do a double take and pounce into action. I grab his hand with the gun and point it in the air. I fire a few rounds into the ceiling trying to empty the clip. We continue wresting and the gun gets pointed at me. Luckily he wasn't able to pull the trigger before I fought it off. By the way, there is a crowd around us watching; none of those assholes tried to help. He falls on the ground and I am wrestling on top of him. I can get the gun pointed at the back of his head. I pause for a second to think if I should shoot. I don't have faith that I'll get a good chance to take the gun, plus he almost killed me earlier. So I pull the trigger--a spray of blood and its all over.

      I stand up a hero.
But it doesn't feel right. Instantly I know its a dream. I do the nose RC and I'm dreaming. DAMN IT. I was a hero, I saved the day, and it wasn't even real. (This is one of the few times that I was pissed to find out I was dreaming.)

So I leave the building and get into the back of a car. Someone starts to drive me somewhere. I decide to try and shrink myself. I look at the seat of the car and suddenly it is a giant leather wall. I was about an inch tall. The car stops and the door opens. I go outside and it a long stretch of road in the middle of nowhere (still at night). I want to try and fly. I am so small that the wind should be able to take me. I feel a gust and suddenly I am off. I am flying super fast about a foot above the ground (but I am an inch tall so a foot isn't THAT close).

I land and return to full size. I want to fly again so I look to the starry sky. I try to take off, but nothing happens. I stare up for a few more seconds and look back down. I am hovering at like 3 ft. and then fall back down. I repeat this a few times, and then give up, frustrated.

The dream skips. It is daytime back in Oak Park. I find a car and start racing down the streets. After awhile of gunning it through downtown I get out and look for something else. I use telekinesis to throw the car straight into the air--it never comes back down. I do the same with a street sign.

I start looking for some girls. I find a hot one on the street and start going at it for a bit. Something happens and I have to stop early. Two guys come up and each want to be next. I scoff at them and walk away. Then across the street, in front of the Frank Lloyd Wright Temple is Heather! Finally! So I get up and start fooling around. She has huge boobs and I start (*eye muffs) titty...loving her. It works better than ever before because of their size. I switch positions and eventually I lose her somehow.

Well if I was able to inadvertently summon an old crush, then why not try another? I try to find Mallory. I end up going into a house and asking someone if they knew where her room was. They showed my a room with 4 beds. I dig through a bunch of dressers so I can try and find which bed is hers. Eventually I lose the dream before finding her.

      Nonsensical WILD (WILD)

      NON-DREAM DREAM LUCID

I was really just going for an early-afternoon nap and hoping for a lucid dream, but it turned into a WILD. I felt my arm move, seemingly of its own accord. I took control of it, and used it to prop myself up on the bed. I opened my eyes as I did so. I could see my room. But I could also see my real room, I had opened my real eyes! The dream-room "fizzled" away and was replaced by my real room. I closed my eyes and tried again. This time, I was able to move freely much more quickly. I waited until I had sat up completely before opening my eyes. I could see the dream room fine. I cautiously got out of bed, keeping in mind how important it was not to move my real body. As soon as I had gotten into a standing position (ie, something totally different to the way I was sleeping), I jumped around a bit to anchor myself.

What followed was a disjointed series of false awakenings (all in different beds in my house) and short lucid dreams. In one, I had a jacuzzi bath with a beautiful girl. The jacuzzi kept emptying itself though. I employed various methods of control to keep the water in place, including THE PLUG, then "believing it would stay full", and leaving the taps on. The jets were also far too powerful. All-in-all, not a successful romantic encounter. Thanks dream-bath.

In another, I was convinced I had fallen asleep with headphones in. The sound of music premeated the dream, and I felt sure that it was coming from an external source.
When I awoke, I realised I hadn't gone to sleep with headphones in, so I either imagined the music, or it came from elsewhere in my house. I recognised part of "Stacey's Mom" by Fountains of Wayne.

Later, I was in the passenger seat of my dad's car. But it was being driven by my mum, who has never driven the car in real life. I asked her a question I can no longer recall. But her reply was startling. I can't remember it either, but my reply was,
"Whoa, my mind is really getting good at simulating you! That's exactly the kind of thing you would say!" In making that statement, I wondered if my subconscious was taking note of my approval, or if "it" was even able to take messages in such a way. I'm beginning to think of my subconscious less as an entity, and more of a mass of random/chaotic thoughts, which occasionally come together to form convincing situations in my dreams. As we were travelling along the motorway, I pondered how I could actually make use of this lucid time. I remembered the task of the month then. It was a surprise that I recalled it, despite reading it once about half a month ago and deciding it was probably too hard. "Shrink yourself to the atomic level". An idea occured to me. Feeling the gearstick, I found that the top flipped open to reveal a red and a blue button. I assumed, naturally, that the red button was to transform the car into a rocket car, a la "Men in Black". The Blue, I reasoned, would be to shrink the car and its occupants. I pressed it once. The car shot forward and got a little bit smaller. But I stayed the same size. Now I had to bend over to avoid hitting my head off the roof. I pressed it a few more times, but all it did now was give the car a momentary speed boost.

Before I woke up, I heard my brother calling me. The first time, I completely ignored him. The second time, I had to do a small DEILD to keep dreaming. After the third, I realised he was now right outside my room and wasn't going to give up.
I forced myself awake. What an asshole.
    6. Men Tired of Shrinking

by , 07-07-2010 at 03:12 AM (From the Drowsy Mind of a Mouse)
I was driving down a road with my girlfriend to some place for a date when she mentioned that men were tired of shrinking. It was an extremely short fragment. Now, it didn't seem like "shrinking" was referring to shrinkage (in case you don't know what that is, it's when your pee pee gets really tiny after putting it in cold water), but rather the physical act of a person shrinking in size. I don't know, it didn't make any sense.
