This small stupid DILD took me way to long to get lucid. I was dreaming about work, which I normally can prevent. I had to go through a scene where the fire suppression system was on and ruining my stock, and then line much longer than every is normal, realizing I had not shaved, trying to shave and finding the razor dull but having removed half my facial hair. When I saw large water pipes that should not be there, I finally became lucid. My recall is poor on what I did after that. Mostly I just told myself I am not allowed to dream about work.

Dream 1(fragments):

I was playing video game, some variation of quake 4 or mod of it, i was exploring some dark complex building teaming up with other marines at some points and fighting with stroggs, at some point there was room with medic and tech and weapon upgrade, at that point AI became somewhat glitchy, also there was some BFG-style weapon.

Dream 2(fragments):

I was going through some level in another video game and then midway it turned into team fortress 2-like game, there was an ally AI controlled heavy that i had to defend through level which had really weak version of minigun, but on the other end i had a sniper rifle with high explosive ammo so all went fine. For enemies there were numerous scouts that were making bizarre faces(Almost GMod-level bizarre) and some snipers.

Dream 3(fragments):

I was helping some developer with video game, it was some kind of 3D shooter. We were going through level that looked like forest and were discussing ideas. Then we removed areas and objects, and added some different ones.

Dream 4(fragments):

I was in some video game with player class system, there was something going on on rooftops and some mod that added 'fireworks weapon', then i was talking with characters and there was something about dark place which everyone except me was scared about. I couldn't understand why they were scared so i went to that place. There were some abandoned corridors with set of invisible portals and potential of getting lost forever, i was almost stuck going back and forth through same two portals in one place by just moving forwards at one point. But in the end i navigated through somehow, found some entity, which looked like weird black and white colored semi-humanoid thing, and fought it. The fight was rather weird since i basically had to avoid the thing and it's world bending portal shenanigans for a while, then i ended winning and completing the level.

A truck pulled up outside of my house with two men in it. They both looked rough and redneck'ish. They said they were sent to cut my grass and I said "By who?"

"you're mother" they answered (sounds like something she would do)

I went inside to call her and suddenly they were on my porch. I open the door and one of the guys reaches in and grabs an xbox 360 that a friend had just dropped off and tries to walk out with it. I follow him and say "hey! what are you doing! I can call the police, ya know?"

he acts like he's having a migraine and starts freaking out. Says he's going to smash my head in with a brick and suddenly he's got a pitch fork. i think he was a marine that is having PSTD or something. I managed to push the pitch fork aside and kick him hard enough to put him down. Then his friend pulled out a gun and I woke up.

i'm at my old car lot packing up stuff. there's still pictures and stuff. We're taking them down. Suddenly I feel the presence of a ghost and it starts throwing those pictures off the wall at my brother. I said a prayer to get rid of it and woke up.

a family was at some type of weird candy carnival, (at some points they looked like normal people and other points they looked like the Simpsons) basically walking through this apartment building tasting different type of candies when they came upon this backroom with a window. Someone stopped them from eating the last of the candy suggesting it was poisoned somehow. They jump out the window and the whole place explodes, apparently someone wanted to kill as many people as they could inside.

Was planning some vacation and packing my bags. Mom was bragging about how she and Nana had just taken my neice of a vacation by themselves and we should go too this time to see what it's like. Somehow I'll very upset by all this --I think it's because I got left out of the 1st trip... I've got this weird thing about being left out of stuff. Really boils my blood.

Something about a little brother who couldn't have been older than 12 calling his 16 year old adopted sister "babe" and she started picking on him for it.

NOTES:
-My recall has become a heck of a lot better just in the last week. If you saw my dream journal just a few days before I found this website, it's basically just one or two dreams a night at the most, now I'm suddenly recalling 4 and 5 dreams a night.
-But my ability to WILD or even attempt to WILD has seemed to regress. Especially my morning attempts. I feel like I'm just laying there thinking. That's probably the problem (that i'm thinking when i shouldn't be) but I don't know how to keep my mind focused and still fall asleep, if I don't focus my mind i'll just fall asleep normally, but if I focus it too much, i won't fall asleep at all....

had a dream i was in a hotel high up above with some friends and we were blunt smoking with a bong in rotation. then i look out the window and towards the ground and i see a zoom in shot of all these cops shooting at cars. it seemed like it was real life and i was freaking out. out from the cars comes these giant men in yellow exterminator outfits with semi automatics shooting the cops down. they kill all the patrolman and then start making there way towards the hotel at which i point i start freaking out and get outta there.

later in the dream i went on a like smooth roaller coaster ride where you were in a single cart crusing through this mountain of candy... above the coaster were all thes hookah houses that you could grab and smoke while your riding, and the house would like travel with you until you let go. there wre all sorts of different flavors and they smoke tasted like candy

So basically this is a pretty strange dream I had last night. I am new here but like the idea of sharing dreams because I think dreams are easily the most profound experience someone can have. The dream started off in a wooded area and I was with my family. I had ingested a psychedelic drug but was ironically normal, even though I was in a dream. Things looked different, I could see faces within textures and stuff, but it was more dreamy than anything else. I do not use drugs anymore but could recall what it was like in this dream. Anyways, that isn't a important part to this story... I was with my family and I was sitting by my mom while she had her arms around me, I felt very safe in this moment. After that scene I was walking around more and out of nowhere a relative of mine who has had bad drug problems ran past me saying something like "try to catch me" or something to that effect. I started chasing after and then they went around the corner, when I got around the corner, she was in the backseat of a Cadillac and the front seat was full, no one in the backseat. Then the backseat area fills up with flames and this relative of mine gets incinerated. All I know is I just witnessed something terrible and needed to get out of there before I got killed myself, so I run off and I am pretty sure they are chasing me. Anyways some random woman I meet while I am running away decides to go with me (doesn't make sense, but it's a dream). We are running and then a guy with a gun is about to catch up so we hope a fence and there is a huge cliff with water on the other side, but me and this lady both decide to jump anyways. When we hit the water we must have jumped across a border because we are in another country. We swim to the shore and the guy sitting there with a rifle decides to let us in after hearing our story. It sort of blanks out and then further in this lady is now pregnant with what I guess is my kid. We now live in this country. We are going to some sort of play that is very very bizarre and the man that was trying to kill us shows up to the play. The play was about peace and I am hoping that the man realizes that we aren't bad people. He doesn't kill us because the play has a lot of people there. Afterwards he is sitting at a table and I ask him why he wants to kill us or something like that and he starts to answer but I wake up before he says anything I could recall.

I played an annoying minecraft PVP game that I didn't understand very well

1. I was in a flying car, or something along the lines of it.

2. This one is weird (another one of my nightmares). It was as if I had woke up from a dream, and I couldn't remember anything. Then my mom said "Your lucky to have survived in that!" I started asking questions and she said that I got shot by a crazy guy in a greenhouse.

Note: In waking life my mom is in medical school, working to become a nurse. The only reason I say this is because in the dream she did all her medical checkout stuff on me.

I decided to try to go to the towers sick bay tonight due to being bitten by a giant snake in the right arm in a previous dream.

I walk through a double sliding door into the sick bay. a robotic humanoid greets me with, "Hey Robo! long time no see!" It takes me a moment to place who they are, but as soon as I do, the robot transforms into a human male. It's Q. He asks me why I stopped by. I tell him it's because I was bitten by a giant snake in a previous dream and would rather be safe than sorry. In a casual tone, he tells me to sit down and motions to a chair/bed behind me. I didn't get a good look. He has me put my arm in a large cylindrical device, my consciousness wavers, but I hold on. a few seconds after he inserts some kind of piece into the machine he tells me the bite was benevolent, and he can speed up the process if I wish. I agree.

I feel the spot where I was bitten surge with energy, enveloping my arm and traveling across my back, then spread to my whole body. my fingers become claws, and dragon wings sprout from my back. my face elongates into a snout, and I realize I could breathe fire if I so desired. when the process is finished, I thank Q. he says something to the effect of "No Problem!" and snaps his fingers. The dream ends and I'm in my bed.

Dream 1

I was missing my last Geography lesson at school because I had gone swimming with my friends. I had just got changed to go into the swimming pool and the time was half 3, we were allocated 45 minute slots but my lesson started at 4. I then thought, oh well its summer soon he won't mind. I then proceeded to walk into the swimming pool.

I don't actually remember swimming but I walked out and I was doing drugs. In fact I was smoking heroin! However it was having no effect on me so I didn't actually care.

I was then at a prizegiving for the school I left a year ago, all the school leavers were there and awards were being given out.

Dream recall from today's naps.

Dream 1(fragments):

I was talking about some new games with somebody and then i was testing some pokemon game in debug mode, interesting thing about it was that there were conversations between player character and pokemons upon reaching certain levels that were not much related to game, and i thought that this addition was inspired by Fire Emblem: Awakening. I opened debug menu and could go through various conversations, browsing through the list i noticed that there were non-pokemon creatures in the game, also there were some dragons.
Finished with the test, i am back at my room, i walk towards door and while opening i notice my hand being weird, i count fingers and realize that i am dreaming, i am about to start transformation but dream fades out before i do much and i wake up.

Dream 2(fragments):

I am sitting in the bed, listening to something through headphones, suddenly sound gets distorted and i notice something is wrong with the cable, i break it somehow and sound gets even more distorted and similar to binaural beats i realize that i am dreaming but dream starts fading out already.

Okay, seems like I'm finally getting a hang of DILD.
After I wrote a wall of text yesterday in the IOSDP thread, I realized that DILD is actually something you can consciously control. It's almost the same as incubating a dream for me.
In a way, my technique works by incubating certain things that make me realize I'm dreaming.

During the next few days I'm going to write down the things that seem to work and the things that don't work so far. Maybe I can really narrow down the key elements to become a self-made natural.

Last night I woke up randomly during the night and decided to fuck my emotions and motivation and just take action.
So I fell asleep while trying to manipulate the dream again so I'd get lucid.

The first dream right after falling asleep was lucid. It was very short though, as it was a nightmare and for some reason I couldn't keep my focus up.

1st: I was in some weird room. For some reason I immediately knew I was dreaming. Right as I got awareness, some kind fo creepy creature appeared. It was a nightmare. I felt intense fear and tried to suppress it. It worked for a short period of time and the monster disappeared. But then the fear got even stronger and I just woke up. About 10 minutes have passed IRL.

After that I had some trouble falling asleep and it was extremely hot in my room. I fell asleep thinking about my girlfriend...

2nd: I was in some kind of factory. This time I wasn't actually 'in the dream' but I was observing something. This also prevented me from getting lucid. I was watching a tournament. There was a sumo-fighter battling against a Muai-Thai fighter. The second fighter looked like the skin for Lee Sin from League of Legends.
The MT-guy punched and kicked the sumo guy but he was so protected by his fat the nothing worked. Suddenly the MT guy kicked him so strongly that he almost fell out of the arena. I could passively notice how the arena would change all the time. They would fight on some stairs, a wooden log, some metal pipes or in the arena.
Then the MT guy charged towards the sumo guy but he intercepted him, grabbed his neck and his body and threw him on the ground. Now the sumo guy grabbed him and began rolling around the arena with him. They both looked like a wheel and the sumo guy crushed him under his weight.
I then told my friend on facebook to watch this show. I sent him a link to some youtube video.
I woke up.

Interpretation: Memories of some videos I've watched about sumo-fighters and also the Lee Sin skin from LoL. The fight looked pretty badass, though.
Seems like I need to manipulate the next dreams so I don't go into 'observer' mode. I need to be participating in my dreams or I can't get lucid.

I was with two friends of mine (R/A) at a place.
I believe it's a place in the woods near an old football field at my home town when I was a kid. It doesn't exists anymore.
The conversation is getting more and more scientific. My friend A is using a tree leaf laid on the ground to prove some point of view.
I'm getting pissed because they're just ignoring me.
The scenario changes and I'm with a girl friend of mine (AV) hanging in some stairs.
Then a girl appears.
She's brunette with big eyes and long hairs. her face is blurry. She's wearing shorts.
We started flirting instantly. I'm getting fascinated by her.
(I know that this dream is much bigger. From now on there's A LOT of fragments I can't remember.) I'm at her house. Se has one younger and one older brother. Her father is there too.
They don't really like me.
I'm cooking for them now.
I know I spent a lot of time with her. We talked for ages.
It's raining a lot.
I live at the end of the street.
My mom, dad and some person I don't remember are sleeping there. They spent a lot of time at the Hospital for some reason I don't know.
I woke them and offered some bread and soup I made. They were really happy.

Blurry Award Night
I was at this really weird open air place at night. It so hard to describe.
An old acquaintance of mine (M.P) arrived and out of nowhere he started giving awards (!).
There was other people there. A friend of mine was there and started talking to me about being unemployed. He then told a joke and everyone laughed.

Weeding Party
I was at what looked like a wedding party at open air. Empty tables, lots of grass. It was really beautiful.
My mom and an aunt (A.) were there. They were cooking something we call russian salad.
I ask them why they're cooking since the party was already over! Apparently cooking the leftovers is the only way for the owners to count the remaining food for billing purposes (!).
I ask to a bartender if there is any croissant left. I'm having the impression I know this guy.
I believe it's a guy i knew (Yellow). He tells me to wait a second while he's going to check.
There's one from the day before and I still have to pay for it. I tell him I don't want it. He offers me for a big discount and I still don't want it. I ask if is everything good with him. We talk for a minute and I left.
I walk to a place with some bars and coffees. I entered and left some of them.
I was not alone. It's getting blurry.

Today i dreamt my mom was telling me i would have a new brother, then she was telling her
to the rest of the family and friends. After some weeks, the child was already 5 years old and a little
problematic, i felt i was like his dad and said to myself "So this is how my older brother saw me when i was
younger" and a smile came on my face, so i was in my room on pc, when i see him climbing the sitting room
closet, and i told him kinda furious "Are you crazy?! get out of there immediately you can hurt yourself and break
the closet aswell" and i wonder to myself "Should i really treat my brotherlike this? He would be mad at me"

Unfortunately, I tried to implement my cunning plan too soon after my (apparent) success with training my brain to wake me up after every dream. I think I overloaded it and, last night, it kept me firmly and dreamlessly asleep till 7.30 am this morning


Sorry brain...I should have let the wake-up routine become more of a habit first...
