I began lucid dreaming today 2 years ago. This is a pretty good start for the next year to come, as last night I recalled 3 non-lucid frags, had 1 DILD, and 1 WILD. I didn’t complete any dream control goals.

(This journal entry contains spoilers for JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure, Part 8: Jojolion)

Non-lucid:
I was reading some Jojolion (Seemed like the chapters with the stand that removed your ability to differentiate faces and words).
It was the part where Yasuho thought she was talking to Josuke, but it was really Joshu.
Memory gap, then I was reading a panel of Josuke and Yasuho finding each other and discussing how they were going to defeat the stand user (this panel doesn’t exist irl).
The dream transferred the scene to me laying in bed with my dog.
Then I woke up.

DILD:
I found myself in my old school’s gym. We were playing hockey, and I was doing horribly.
I was kind of getting embarrassed, and then I nonchalantly figured out I was dreaming.
I exited the gym through the door to the left of the stage. In the halls, my brother and his friend walked out. I got kind of scared, seeing as he previously loved to ruin my lucids. So I noclipped into the floor above, but it was too late. He grabbed me and then I woke up.

WILD:
I woke up from a non-lucid dream I no longer recall, and kept my eyes closed, and thought that just maybe I could chain it into a lucid.
And it happened. A very faint dream formed, one where I was able to reality check. I did the nose-pinch test, and it worked. However, I quickly realized that this dream was really faint and unvivid— I quickly “woke up” into a false awakening.
I did the nose-pinch test again to check if I was really awake, and I breathed through my nose, an indication that I’m dreaming. However, my brain rationalized this somehow as me just having a stuffy nose (there’s no way that logic would work out??). So I went non-lucid again.
I walked out of my room, into the living room, and my dog was wide awake and sitting on the couch.
Went into the kitchen. I acknowledged the ‘feeling’ I was getting of still being in bed dreaming, but I didn’t connect the dots.
Then I woke up, ironically. Chaining the lucid did not work.

I am in some sort of commune in another country where they keep endangered animals. I programmed some sort of code and showed it to the benobo and it immediately atarted crocheting! It whipped up a sweater in no time at all. The other people in the commune immediately got hostile to me and tried kicking me out. I dived into the pool with the porpoise to hide. Weirdest dream in recent memory!

Really good things happened, I just wish I could've handled them better.

Following the WBTB was an amazing PR lucid, followed by a slightly depressing part that fell off. I was in an aiport with Ankha. She got me lucid, and was live action like before. We were really enthusiastic about our destination. Yet I firmly stated that the cult kept me from making guarantees. Near the end there was something that seriously upset her. Our flight was cancelled, I think and a person resembling Snape from Harry Potter was scolding us. Then, I had a nasty false awakening. I had great recall. Celebrating this intriguing lucid. I explained it to OmniLucid to many people and they praised me for it. I found a way to record that part of the lucid and shared it with them. Ankha’s mouth wasn’t open enough ever to see inside. The only. ONLY reason this ISNT a 10/10 is really sad recall for the actual lucid itself

Night of Monday 3/6/23

I'm in a basement dungeon that reminds me of Snape's office from Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix. There is some argument happening about outfits to wear. Snape is trying to impose some evil magic. One of the kids is transformed into a massive black monster that takes up most of the room. Snape plays the hero and defeats the monster. It was his plan all along. There is a purple glowing scythe that has mind control. It has a mind of its own similar to Nightblood in Brandon Sanderson's Cosmere.

I'm on the top floor of a mansion house on the beach. The mansion has secret passages, with some rooms off limits. It reminds me of the home containing the wardrobe from Chronicles of Narnia.

Night of Tuesday 3/7/23

I'm in a documentary about My Chemical Romance. There is a skyscraper where they supposedly live. They have invented their own version of the color black and are selling a clothing line based on it. There is another scene where there is a party in the skyscraper home. The inside looks like my sister's old rental home. There is some drama going on but can't recall exactly. The documentary goes into some detail about how the band uses cocaine.

I'm talking to the Pope at the Vatican. Don't recall any context for this.

1 Dream Recall again cause I'm goofy.

I was watching Avatar 3 (shortly after my "Puss in Boots 3" dream) and all the Navi were chilling in this wooden mansion house. There was a human there, my friend in real life who for some reason every single hour got a year younger. After a while he became a baby. Me and the Catgirl avatar were building a big superweapon for some reason. Before I woke up, we went to this big room where a sculpture of Jesus was on the floor, fallen from it's container. Next to a sculpture of Satan who was in his container. It was spooky and I woke up

...Couples are meeting their demise in different ways. It’s almost like a romantic thing, or something. One elderly-ish couple (probably 70s or so) are sitting in a car together almost laughing as a train-like thing comes up behind them. The feeling is like that “Final Destination” movie, I think, but more like a romantic comedy...

...Walking out to the parking lot. It’s dark. We (a friend and myself) are going to our cars...

Holly and the Chimp [+1]

“Holly”, who is supposedly a relative, shows up. She has shortish hair, and is fairly attractive. I go somewhere, and come back with two stuffed animals. On the way, I start to go into a room where someone is showing a koala bear and a chimpanzee (or closely related species) to a class. I was going to cut through that room on my way back up, but decide to go a different way. I’m headed back up to a lab now, and talking to one of the stuffed animals that I’m carrying. When I get back up to where I was going, my family is headed somewhere. To eat, I think. I hope to catch up with them so I can eat with them...

Fragment 4 [+0.5]

There is a Church service going on on the campus of the university. I walk through on my way somewhere, and see Michael Palin talking to the pastor. At some point I stop and listen to the pastor talking. They have set up chairs inside a tent, and I think it’s interesting how different this part of the campus looks now. Later I mention to someone that I saw Michael Palin.

1. I was with another fan of this visual novel that I play. We were taking a walk and they were out of shape. We talked about the game and we both loved the same character. (Fragment = 0.5 points)
2. Something illegible plus the word "coworkers" and "club"
3. I had a dream that I was afraid my alarm was going to go off. (It didn't) (Fragment = 0.5 points)
4. A dream that my car died. This happened IRL on Monday right in the middle of the road, and I'm still rather shaken from it (car is currently at the mechanic), so I guess that was my brain trying to process it. (Fragment = 0.5 points)

I will not count the illegible one.

Night 6. My results are not as they were at the beginning of the competition. Here's to hoping I can get back on track tonight!

My visualizations were so good that I could touch them. The entire dream is really really hard to describe so that's it.

I did a wbtb and wrote some notes but looking back at them I have no memory of what happened.

The next dream I was in a first person shooter and I got an 8 person kill streak. It turned into more likr Grand Theft Auto and I was driving around in a car.

The next dream I was lucid although I don't remember the start of the dream. I can't go into detail because my girlfriend was in it and we got kinky! I didn't complete any task other than "interact with a DC".

I woke up and DEILDed back into the same dream
