    1. Lucid Flying Then Nose Dive to Bottom of the Sea

by , 09-23-2010 at 12:31 AM (My Official Journey Into Lucid Dreaming)
This is the first time I have been able to control my flying. Usually, I just bump along the ground, and can't gain any altitude. That changed tonight. I should have written this down when I woke up, but I was in a hurry to get to work.

I am in some kind of high school locker room. Everyone is in top shape but me, and they are clothed in street clothes. I am walking around in jeans with no shirt on. I am embarrased. People are looking at me in disgust. I am ashamed, but continue to walk. The dreamscape changes and I am in a casino. I still do not have a shirt on, and now I realize I can't possibly meet a girl dressed like I am. I begin to despair, and people are still looking at me with disgust. The dreamscape changes again, and I am in Modern Warfare 2: Invasion. I am looking around, and although it is a map from a game, it looks completely real. Also, it's just a regular scene, the destruction seems normal, and people are going about their business. I try to talk to girls, but an old former friend whom I do not like or associate with comes up to me and starts telling me that I will never find a woman, that I will be alone forever, and women don't like me. I grow from despairing to downright depressed. I am wraught with sadness, and I begin to weep in my dream.

I stand up and look around. For some reason, I can't see far enough away. I feel somewhat trapped. It starts to dawn on me that I am in a constructed reality, so I begin looking for flaws or dream signs. Still not lucid yet, I peak around the side of a van, and see the sky stretching out forever. The sky is both below and above me and both sides. I am standing on the edge of the map which seems to to be suspended very high up in the air. I have found the end of the map. Wait a minute!

This can't be real, I am dreaming! I smile and know exactly what I want to do. I leap off the edge of the map into the sky spreading my arms like wings. I begin to fall and then gently rise to flight. I am amazed! I did it! I look down, and the ground is so far down, I can't really make it out through the clouds. I am very high up (I estimate about 40,000 ft) and flying like an eagle, making crazing banks, nose dives, and soaring. I am going very fast. I see a sunset ahead of me with a very rough round opening in the sky itself. It is black, and seems to be some sort of portal. the colors around it are just like a sunset. I fly towards it, but never seem to get any closer. It is hundreds of miles away. I am completely euphoric, and almost forget my despair. It creeps back, but is dulled by my joy. I continue to fly, thinking what I should do next.

I look down and see the ocean. I raise up my head, soar up a bit, and then bank left and dive straight down. The wind is blowing past my ears, and I am diving fast and headed straight for the ocean. I feel no fear. I know I am dreaming, and I am now in a euphoric state. I hit the water and dive straight down. I see fish from my aquariums in the sea. It is very dark blue, but I can see. I stop and stand on the bottom of the ocean. How cool is this. I then lose lucidity.

I dreamt and became lucid two more times that night. 3 lucids in a row. I cannot remember anything about the other two. They were very short, and the lucidity was only mild. Just aware, not trying to control. None of the dreams were related, which seems odd.

    2. Frist Lucid Dream! :D

      by , 08-23-2010 at 04:05 AM
I had just got done hitting a guy in the face when I walk through a metal door into what seemed to be a warehouse with a lot of semi truck docks. I was standing beside a guy who I dont know who he was. Then for some reason I realize Im dreaming. It hit me so suddenly I said Oh my god im dreaming! to the guy, and began running past all of the docks. I passed a worker and put my hands up and yelled IM DREAMING to the guy as I ran by. I then began to feel myself start to wake up so I first remember to concentrate on my hands I put my hands up and when I look at them I see them start to crack and split open like they were burning away and started to feel the effects of waking up more so I think fast and remember spinning, I spin around one time and I am back into my dream. I stand there and realize that I can feel my real body the one laying in bed and I can feel my position Im laying in, yet I know im standing in my dreamworld. I then run over to a door and open it to a nice outdoor landscape and there is a cement ramp with stairs and a rail. Well I think to myself I have ALWAYS wanted to fly in my dreams and never had the chance. So I think to myself I can fly and jump over the railing and begin to fly to a hill I see. I remember trying to go higher in the sky but I couldnt control myself. Then I crash into the hill softly. I am on my knees and I touch the grass with my hands and feel how real it seems and say Oh my god it looks so real! It was so vivid and realistic and I knew I was in a dream yet amazed by the detail. I then thought okay I want to close my eyes and when I open them be in a city. Well I close my dream eyes and when I open them I open my real eyes, and wake up. I was so happy to have my first lucid. Yet as I sat there I thought to myself am I still dreaming? But unfortunately I wasnt still dreaming.
    3. No sleep.

      by , 08-18-2010 at 02:49 PM
I didn't get any f** sleep tonight. I'm just as tired and shitty as anybody else in this position which I'm sure some of you have been in this position before.
Well, there is just too many damn thoughts in my head. Not to mention how I suddenly realize how insanely uncomfortable my pillows are.
Anyways, Thoughts about the past. regrets, how I might have changed things and hopefully optimism for the future.
My eyes may not focus as well as my mind at this moment, but I just had a epiphany of what I need to do in life. Which is damn well better or to close to than any dreams.... I suppose... Sorta... Not really. I would still like a lucid dream or two. They always leave me smiling. Yeah, you understand.

      Peace out.

Hey! So, this is our first entry, obviously. We don't have any dreams to record right now but we will in the near future. We're 14 year old girls, so you're going to get things like, us giggling over the cutest boys. But who knows, maybe we'll see something profound. Haha. Anyway, I guess this is kind of like an introduction. Madison=purple writing. Kameron=blue writing. That's all you really need to know for now.

      Very Lifelike (DILD)

      NON-DREAM DREAM LUCID

I can't remember the start of this one, so I'm just going to assume it was a DILD.

I was standing in a residential street at night. It was raining very heavily. Thinking about it, I might have figured out I was dreaming from being "floaty". As in, gravity wasn't working how it should, and I was gliding a bit with every step. It's always a fun way to catch a dreamsign- "Hey I'm flying a bit! Oh, dream!" Anyway, I thought about doing the task of the year, and I really thought it was within my reach this time. It was a really stable dream, and I reckoned it would last a good while. I wondered about how to time travel. There were no DeLoreans in sight, and I couldn't be bothered asking random people if I could use their time machine again.

I ended up having a false awakening- in the very same street! I caught it, and started talking to a girl who sat down on the pavement beside me. I don't know what she said, but I remember thinking that her reactions and conversationalism were very lifelike -in a way which made me slightly doubt I was dreaming. How could a construct of my own mind seem to have independent thought? I kept trying to predict what she was going to say next, or figure out what part of me her words came from, but I couldn't make any sense of it.

It's a bit strange to me that people talking on their own fascinated me so much when they have always done it in my non-lucids and I've never wondered about it. I suppose being lucid opened my eyes to the curious nature of it.

      Sprinting (WILD)

      NON-DREAM DREAM LUCID

It's weird typing this now. A minute ago I was sprinting continuously for about ten minutes. I can't actually believe I managed to WILD this morning. Conditions were less than perfect. I'd already had a good night's sleep, my blinds were open (letting in bright light), and my bedroom door was open (letting in a loud conversation and piano playing).

One thing going my way though was extreme drowsiness. For the third time in my life, I got trapped in sleep paralysis as I woke up. I wrote about my last waking episode in my very first post on Dreamviews (it was what led me here). I knew where I was, and the position I was lying in, and basic things like light levels in the room. I could also hear a conversation going on downstairs. -I've written down the main points of this conversation and I'll go check if what I heard was real or imagined after I type this up. It just felt like I couldn't force myself to emerge to full wakefulness, like forced laziness is the only way I can describe it. Mentally, I was trying to move, but all my limbs seemed to have lost their juice. Anyway, having missed out on lucidity in countless dreams last night, I thought I might as well use it to my advantage.

      On my first attempt, I
could gradually see the inside of a car. I was in the back seat, and it was driving along a road I know well. The funny thing was, I could still feel my body, and I couldn't tell if my eyes were open or closed. I opened my eyes a bit and could see slightly clearer, but I'm almost sure my real eyes opened too- they just weren't sending any input to my brain.

I woke up and the sleep paralysis broke. I rolled over and tried again. Quite quickly this time, I had a false awakening in my own bed. I can't be sure if I was still hearing conversations from downstairs, or my mind just invented a likely conversation to go along with the "awakening". I went downstairs and left through the front door as my mum was letting out whatever visitors were in the house. I'd love to know if their actual departure and my dream line up. I started running down the street, doing long floating jumps over bushes, people and cars. I thought about the task of the year, but the only one I could remember off the top of my head was "Give fire to Early Man". I didn't think I could hold the dream together long enough to do anything that complex, so I decided instead to just do some random exploration. When I got to the bottom of my street I turned right onto the larger road. But instead of the road I expected, I was surprised to find myself back on my own street- about a mile back along the road.
"Oh well," I said. My mouth still wasn't cooperating fully. I took off sprinting. The exertion really helped anchor me in the dream and made things around me clearer. I saw some unidentifiable roadkill at the side of the road, and then a Tesco supermarket which definitely isn't there in real life. It was in the position of an old industrial site. I was still sprinting, and actually taking deep breaths. I'm not sure what the point of that was, maybe to make the scenario more realistic, or to keep my heart rate down or something.

I got stuck behind a crowd of people outside Tesco. During that time, I decided to get out my phone. In my dream, I was wearing my dressing gown (which I guess I assumed I was wearing in real life, but wasn't), but I reached beneath it expecting to find my jeans- which I did. I felt inside the pocket, and pulled something out. I actually laughed out loud at the result. It looked like some kid had crudely nailed together several pieces of wood to make a giant replica of a phone. There were no buttons or a screen. However, there was a hole in the middle of it. I poked about inside and thought I felt something. I whacked the side of the big phone, and my ancient Nokia 3310 dropped out. It still had the green cover I put on it the last time I had it (in like 2002). When I tried to use it
      I woke up.

These are the subjects of the conversations I heard. I'll check if they were real and report back.

EDIT: Turns out they were talking about Scott Joplin, but the others were my imagination. Thinking about it, there were definitely some images associated with the others, I should have guessed they were made up.
    7. Entry #2: - Lucidity and Rivers

      by , 07-23-2010 at 02:28 PM
Possibly the most vivid dream I've had in recent memory and my first remembered lucid dream! Amazing, is all I can say. I took melatonin before sleeping, which may have contributed to everything. It truly is like nothing you've ever experienced. I will try to explain it in detail.

I'm watching movies with my family, one of which is Terminator I think, and eventually I get up and leave to go for a drive. I end up taking a car somewhere and now am on my way home. As I drive behind the guy in front of me, I lose footing on my brakes and try hard not to bump into him at a stoplight. I come very close to his bumper. At this point, when the light turns green, I guess I assumed I was driving on my own, but the view from my car still looked suspiciously close to his bumper. At this point, the view from my car and the backseat of his car, were completely relative. I was in the back right seat of his car now. As I looked behind me I noticed I was not in my car, or driving it, and it was nowhere to be found. So as he noticed me, I began to explain, telling him I didn't know how I got there and to just turn around. He takes the first turn and starts heading back to where my car might be. It's at this point I believe I think to look at my hand to see if it's normal, and to my extreme and utmost suprise, my hand is morphing. I can't really explain how it looks, but it switches from four fingers to more fingers to my hand again. I am in complete shock, but control myself as to not wake up. The car stops, I look around me through the windows. I am in a city, and in front of me are buildings, old buildings with billboards. Lots of people are out, walking around, I stare at some, some stare back at me. Words on the billboard change to nonsense to strings of sentences with no meaning. I am completely excited and happy I am lucid dreaming. I think I may have told the driver of the car this. It's infinite possibilities, just the thought of such is amazing. I wish I could share this feeling with people who nothing of it. It's like having your own world. Albeit hard to control at first.
Note: The driver of the car has a very worried and disgruntled look on his face for the entirety dream. This is the only expression I noticed and his face I can't remember or explain in detail.
I want to immediately test if I can do whatever I want. For some reason I look down at my feet and imagine something silly, and rather imagined just for the purpose of testing. My shoe slowly becomes a rainboot. It worked. But as I get out of the car, things began to lose context. I can only explain it as the foundation of 'reality' (reality being my dream) shaking. Breaking apart almost. My mind is shaking me awake, but not so easily. I try to hold my fantistic world together. The sun is shining. The driver gets out of the car, we are parked beside a streetlamp, in what appears to be the same location except closer to the buildings in front of us and now it's drizzling rain. Details change constantly. He runs into a house directly 100 feet or so in front of the car. So I follow. The house is vivid. I walk inside and there's a party going on. The living room is the first room as you walk in, I barge through past a dining table straight into a kitchen that is half-and-half the same room as the living room. At the end of the kitchen is a wall, a bulliten board with flyers and concert listings posted all over, in front of and below this wall are stairs leading to a basement. I follow the driver. In my mind, I am completely aware that my dream may fall apart at any moment. I am aware that time in the dream is considerably longer than real life, I began hurrying up despite this. I want to get back home. I walk down and pass some subconsious strangers, some look at me and some don't even notice me. I take a right into a room, it's got a fridge full of drinks, and two couches. I walk through that room and take another right into a different room where more people are. There is a table, a couch, and maybe a TV on the wall. I walk up to the table and try to fit in, allowing the atmosphere of the party to take over. Some people walk over and look at me and go over to some friends. I'm afraid someone will ask what I'm doing there and kick me out. I leave the room and go back to the room with the fridge. The couches are full of people. I sit down just to get up and open the fridge, I see many beverages. Root beer, Beer. At first what I think is orange soda, I grab to discover it's some sort of sparks drink. It's an assorted fruity alcholic beverage. Mandarin I believe. I grab it, and then I grab a bottle of coke, or something like that. I sit back down. I feel nervous, people look at me, someone asks why I grabbed two drinks. I don't see the driver anywhere. I leave the room and head back upstairs, where I bump into... the driver. I tell him I got to get outta here, and he stills looks quite disheveled. He nods yes. He almost seems too acceptant. I then ask him if he's here to guide me in my dream, he nods yes again. I run upstairs, now positive that I DO NOT want to wake up, that this cannot possibly even be a dream. I go to the living room, it is empty, there is a tv on, lights are dim, I go to the couch. There are piles of clothes laying all over. I remember stuffing things into a bag, trying to hurry to collect the two drinks and anything else I needed. It shouldn't have been that hard. I notice 5 dollars peeking out from someone's shirt, and I grabbed it. I hoped I could take it and use it in my dream, or hoping that when I awoke, I would still have the 5 dollars. I assumed the driver was back in the car. I open and leave the front door. It's raining out.

I am now back at home, and leaving my back door. It's raining out. I'm heading into my backyard. There is a car with it's headlights on parked beside a trailor, I run towards it. I know that my brother is inside with friends smoking, but I knock and ask anyway. A kid named AndyZ is driving. My brother pauses before answering but says yes. I say Alright, close the door and run back inside. I hear laughing from in the car before I'm inside.

From here, I appear at a river in Missouri. It is beautiful. It is quite shallow. My eldest brother grabs me and pulls me in further, much to my dismay. I yell and tell him this is why I hate this. He gets mad, stops struggling to bring me to the middle of the river and yells back before going on. I am with my entire family. The river beams with greens, blues and yellows reflecting off a sunset somewhere in the sky. I began a path upward the river beside the rocky and dirt-hilled side near the shore. The shore dissapears and to my side is only trees and stones, stones placed deliberatly. The sky is mighty and gorgeous. The trees fade, the river gets deeper. My dad is not far behind me. I feel like a young child in this part of my dream. I grab and climb above some rocks, getting out of the deep water that had me up to my neck and on my tip toes. These stones are smooth and like bricks but bigger. I climb above them as far as I can go, and look out on the other side. It is a dried out long strip of land. It is a mirror reflection of this river, except waterless. Abandoned construction vehicles sit stuck in mud, varying down the long stretch of mud and dirt.
I climb back down and walk along the stones until I reach a point where they no longer divide the two rivers. The river we are in slowly begins to dry out the farther we progress. This dream feels like days and days on end, we get to know people at stores in towns, but I don't remember how it ends. And I don't remember how I got there.

At some point it feels like I may have woken up in between the lucid and river dream. The river dream was not as controlled. It's hard to remember

Supernatural Investigation and Searching for a Time Machine (WILD)

      NON-DREAM DREAM LUCID

Lately, I've been watching a lot of the TV show "Supernatural" online. This dream was structured not unlike an episode! I might not have been lucid from the very start of this dream, but I can't remember that far back, or the transition into the dream.

I had teamed up with Sam and Dean Winchester, and we were conducting an investigation in a small rural town. Whatever/whoever we were hunting was holed up in a petrol station, and we were on the roof- ready to enter through a vent and kick some ass. It was a cloudy, drizzly day, and as I silently opened a hatch, I was glad to be getting inside. I lowered myself carefully into the vent with both hands, and positioned myself on my knees, hunched over and gun ready. As soon as my full weight was settled, the vent collapsed around me and fell into the shop. I ended up sprawled on my back on top of a counter, surrounded by men with guns. Luckily Sam and Dean immediately opened fire from above, distracting the guys who would otherwise have plugged me. I did a backwards roll off the counter and took shelter. I had lost my gun in the fall. Bullets whizzed past my head in all directions, and the blasting of gunfire so close to me was disorienting. Finally, the shooting stopped and I poked my head up.

Sam and Dean were now downstairs with me, pointing their guns at a pile of rubble next to a freezer, where the last guy was hiding. I got up and picked up a sawnoff shotgun from the floor.
"Come on out!" I said. The guy nervously stood up with his hands in the air. He then treated us to a whole monologue about not measuring up, and finished by telling us he was going to kill himself by lethal injection. He produced from his pocket an injector-gun, which had about seven capsules attached to the side. He shot himself up three times before I wrestled the injector off him. After a quick examination, I somehow inferred that it was "Hulk Juice". One dose was apparently enough to turn you into The Hulk! I could see the dude was already bulking up and turning green, and by the time he reached nine feet tall, I decided on the only possible form of defense. I shot the remaining four doses directly into my chest. I reasoned that, having taken more, I would be a stronger Hulk. Right away I felt the serum reacting with my body. My chest felt tight, but I could see that it was in fact bulking up at an alarming rate. It felt like I was made of rocks. The feeling quickly spread to my arms and legs, all the way to my fingertips- which ended up the size of baseball bats. I realised I had an enormous armspan, like four metres- and I could stretch even farther. I punched the slightly smaller Hulk in the top of the head to begin the fight. I can't remember much about what happened next,
we broke through the wall of the petrol station and I remember chasing him up a narrow street.

The next section of the dream played out like another investigation. This time I was on my own in suburbia, investigating a case of a dog which was actually a human in disguise. There was one particualar chihuahua which I reckoned looked particularly human-like, so I kept an eye on it. I was sitting at a kitchen table talking to a homeowner who was making me tea, staring at the dog. It noticed me and ran out the back door.
"Hold that thought," I said to the woman and ran after it. It ran along the street and jumped over a very noticable pothole, filled with water. I made a point to stand right in it. The water disappeared to reveal a bottomless hole. I deduced that the dog was leading people to their deaths by making them fall in.
I became lucid after doing a hand reality-check out of the blue. I was extremely aware, and even remembered the task of the year on Dreamviews. The remaining six parts would all be much easier if I had access to a time machine. It's really hard for me to teleport or change scene on my own, so I reasoned that letting the dream do the work might work better for me.

I took a running jump and glided up onto the roof terrace of the first house I saw. The residents were having a barbecue with some neighbours. I landed among them, and was tempted to just sit down and enjoy some ribs (they smelt fantastic), but I'd been neglecting the tasks lately. I greeted the guy I assumed to be the host, and asked him straight out,
"Have you got a working time machine I could use?" I asked him in a serious manner, in a way that showed I expected it to be a realistic request. He said,
"No, sorry, I don't. But my nextdoor neighbour does, why don't you go ask him?" I was pleased with this response. I hopped off the roof and into next door's back garden, where I saw the neighbour in question. He was an old man tending his garden. I asked about the time machine, and he seemed very pleased that it was going to get some use. He explained that his family rarely made use of it. He led me to the garden shed, against the back fence.
"Go ahead, knock yourself out," he said, gesturing at the door. I opened the door and stepped inside. It was very small, and what little floor space it had was taken up by a thick green armchair, sitting at a desk. Below the desk was an enormous old desktop computer. It had a few purple lights on it, and was connected to a dusty monitor on top of the desk. I pressed the only button I could find, the main "power" button on the computer. It booted up instantly and started to work.
"Where or when do you wanna go?" the man asked from behind.
"Back," I said. "I want to go back 65 million years."
      "Say whaaat??"
      "Don't ask," I chuckled.
"Okay, input here," said the old man, handing me a number pad. I pressed the "minus" button at the top, then six, five, zero zero zero, zero zero zero, enter.
"Good luck!" he shouted, and shut the door. The screen came to life. It displayed a weird animation I can only describe as several coloured balls rolling through a black tunnel. It looked a bit like guitar hero in reverse. I concentrated intently on the visualization,
      but sadly I woke up!

      I beat Neil Armstrong (DILD)

      NON-DREAM DREAM LUCID

This was a pretty awesome night. My old record of dream recalled in a single night was 8, I rose that up to 11 Only one of this was a fragment. Three of these were lucid and on one of them I completed one of the Tasks of the Year.
      Tenth of the night:

I tried to DEILD from the previous dream, but I moved in bed a little bit.

I was at home, I had a false awakening in my bed but my wife was awake. It was 7am time to wake up but I told her I was going back to bed. I went to the table were I write my dreams down. I started to write one and a friend plus my wife appeared.
My friend took of his shirt and he had a tattoo in his chest exactly the same than mine. Then, suddenly his tattoo changed into a different one, but with the same black and red colors. I found it odd and I realized a reality check.

I look at my hands and I had a lot of fingers so I became lucid. I said, "Ha! I knew it. That tat is not right. I am lucid, this is a dream." I took my blue backpack were I have my cards and left. I flew away and saw the moon up in the sky:

I gained some height and used my backpack as a jet pack. First I flew straight up and then straight. It was hard to fly with the jetpack. I almost hit a building. My backpack ran out of gas so I threw it away and kept flying on my own. I saw the moon and the dream started to fade. I spun and recovered the dream. Slowly the imagenery was back. I was getting out of the Earth and a voice said, "I know what you want. You want to go to Space." As I was exiting the Earth, instead of the moon, I saw another Earth. I though, "Not the Earth, I need the Moon!!!" The voice sounded again, "I know what you want. You want to see the Earth from a balcony at the moon." I was annoyed about that voice messing up. I saw myself approaching at the moon. I saw an odd building. The dream started to fade, so I had to recover it again.

I was inside a building. Everything was metallic and I saw flashes of light. I was like in a very old school first person shooting game, but I had no gun. I heard a lot of loud and annoying noises:

I saw red and blue arrows. Every few seconds, a hatchet with a blue arrow would close. I realized I was in a maze and I had to run to exit throughout the blue arrows. I suddenly saw armed soldiers, but they ignored me. I walked through them. I finally exited and I had a perfect vision on the moon. The voice said, "Oh. Now I know!" I saw a ship trying to land. It was Neil Armstrong!

I flew close to him and placed a flag with my own symbol. He was surprised when he saw me and he said, "You beat me here! How?" I laughed again and hit him softly in one of his shoulders. Then I forced myself to wake up. I knew I chained three lucids and I was entering the dangerous zone for recall. I woke up.

I want to know this is the first time I have a ToTY or ToTM completed without a FA after the lucid!

      Attempted Astronaut (WILD)

      NON-DREAM DREAM LUCID

My very first evening-WILD! The only reason it worked (I reckon) was because I was sleep-deprived from the night before.

I had a false awakening in a graveyard, weirdly. I stood up and checked my hand to find several extra fingers. I nodded to myself, satisfied. There was a tall, black metal fence surrounding the graveyard, and I wanted to get outside of it. I could see a city with skyscrapers in the distance, and fancied exploring. I took a running jump and glided up over the fence, landing on top of a bus shelter outside. I stopped and thought for a second, and remembered the task of the year. The city seemed like the kind of place I might be able to hitch a ride to space from, with the view to beating Neill Armstrong down the ladder to be first on the moon. The city centre was definately uphill from my position, so I flew at waist-height up the steepest street I could find, going in the right direction. I flew through a massive crowd of people, all heading the same way. I noticed my youngest brother among the crowd. He seemed to be getting overwhelmed by the masses, so I picked him up and put him on my back. The crowd was getting thicker and thicker as I came close to the building at the top of the street, and I eventually found them all trying to cram into an elevator at the base of a tower. I looked at it, and thought it looked like it could be the kind of elevator that lifts astronauts up to the door of their rocket, so I decided to get on it.
"Stand back!" I shouted. "Astronauts only!" Smirking to myself, I wondered if this ridiculous authoritative strategy would work.

I never had a chance to find out, as I had a false awakening. I honestly thought it was for real, until I looked around. Turns out, I was lying on a sofa, under a blanket, cuddling a girl I hadn't seen in years. I tried to get up to see where I was, but she wrapped her arms around me very tightly and I couldn't escape.

I struggled for a bit, and had another couple of false awakenings in exactly the same situation. It got a bit scary. The room was dark, but there was a spooky red glow. I was panicking a little, recognising a familiar feeling of dread which sometimes sneaks into my LDs- only the ones where I have lots of FAs. I knew how the dance usually went, I'd get countless more FA's, then wake up for real, wasting my lucidity. I pondered for a moment, and decided this would be a tragic waste of time. So I stopped and tried to look at the situation objectively. I wouldn't be able to wake myself up easily, so I might as well make the most of being lucid in my dream. By the time I had gone through this thought process, I no longer had the foreboding feeling, and could start to take back some control. I punched the girl holding me in the top of the head and she let me go.

The room was still pretty dark, but I could see that there were some people I knew sitting around a table in what looked like a kitchen area. I walked over and instinctively flicked a lightswitch, which turned on a light above the table. I could now see that I was in what some people call a "sun room". A cross between a conservatory and a living room. No sooner had I taken in my surroundings, than a girl walked over to me with no top on. She asked me to give her a ball that was sitting on the window sill. I cunningly threw it in the air so she would have to jump to catch it. Then I became involved in a conversation about a video someone had on their phone. It looked like it could have been one of the challenges on Takeshi's Castle. I feared that I was starting to lose lucidity, so I did the hand RC. I really wanted to count how many fingers I had, so I spread them out as far as possible. Somehow, this circumvented sleep paralysis, and I moved my actual fingers. Since I had fallen asleep with my head on top of my hand, I felt it and woke up.

      End of The World (MILD)

      NON-DREAM DREAM LUCID

I was thinking about the task of the year before I went to sleep, particularly the "End of the World" part. I wondered how I could logistically get to the future and have the world end. This caused my first (uninentional) MILD. I couldn't think of anything lying in bed, but luckily my subconscious did the work for me.
The earliest part of the dream I remember is watching the planets revolving around the sun. They were nowhere near to scale- all the planets were far too big and far too close to the sun, but what the hell. I looked at the Earth, and out of the corner of my eye (if I had eyes, I can't recall any sort of body), saw a huge chunk of rock drifting closer and closer. It wasn't a conventional comet- what it reminded me of was a shot of a Star Destroyer from the start of one of the older Star Wars movies. It was that kind of flat-ish shape and very long. Far larger than the Earth. I became very alarmed.
"Didn't the people on Earth know about this? How could they miss it?
Ohhhhh..." I became lucid when I realised what was about to happen and remembered the task. From my vantage point, I watched with a kind of morbid interest crossed with dread. To my surprise, instead of obliterating my beloved planet, the Star Destroyer-shaped comet glanced off the Earth's atmosphere. It hit the atmosphere at an angle of about 10 degrees, and just "bounced off", now floating in the direction of the sun. A strange side-effect of the near miss was to knock the Earth out of its normal orbit. The "bounce" effect had some sort of recoil. It didn't make an enormous difference to the Earth's orbit, it was now just circling a bit closer to the sun.

      I vaugely wondered,
"If this is the end of the world, what's going on?" I glanced over at the sun just in time to see it envelop the comet. I felt that something awful was about to happen, and right then, a solar flare started to form. Its arc covered the entire face of the sun on the side the comet had just entered, and built in intensity until it formed a circular shape larger than the sun itself. Then it was released. The wave of orange light flew directly at the Earth in its new orbit. As it hit, my POV zoomed in on Australia, of all places. I could see Sydney's distincive opera house, and the sea beyond. The wall of orange light blasted into the sea in sections. One blast would hit the sea, instantly vaporize all the water, leaving a gaping chasm surrounded by water. These chasms were only visible for a split second before the surrounding water filled them in. On land, it was a similar story. Buildings, roads and uninhabited areas were obliterated, entirely burning off the outer layer of the Earth's crust, bit by bit.

For the rest of the dream, I lost lucidity and became one of the few people left alive on a deserted island East of Australia.

      Gladiatores Pugnant! (WILD)

      NON-DREAM DREAM LUCID

This one was actually made up of the initial WILD, then countless DEILDs, but for the sake of neatness I'll keep them all in the same entry.

I was sleepy this morning, so I tried to WILD. I lay on my back for, I'd say, 25 minutes before switching to my right side. It was only about 5 more minutes after that before I got into a dream.

I had a FA in my old house. It was a sunny day, and the curtains were open in my bedroom. I went straight to the window, opened it, and climbed out. Standing on the roof, I looked up and down the street, just taking everything in. It really amazes me sometimes. I was still wearing my dressing gown, so I took it off, then floated down to my front garden. I got distracted by taking a detour round the side of the house, finding it strange that the side gate was open. I floated back onto the roof, and sat down with my back against the chimney. I could feel the rough bricks against my back very clearly. After some pondering, I remembered the task of the year. I had been thinking about it before I got to SP. With a gladiator fight in mind, I thought about a way to change scene to Ancient Rome. I jumped off the roof and landed in the back garden. A big red plastic bucket (about 3 feet in diameter) I used to own was sitting in the long grass near the back fence. I approached it, trying to convince myself it was one of the pipes from Super Mario which would drop me out in the sky above the Colloseum. There was water in the bucket. Without hesitation I dunked my head in, and the rest of my body followed. It was (as always) a bit surprising to find I could breathe underwater. On the bottom of the bucket were some stones. I focused on one which was vaugely Colosseum-shaped lol and tried to imagine that it was the Colosseum- I was just far above it. I tried to think of all the other stones as buildings and the spaces between them as roads. I wasn't getting anywhere, so I shut my eyes and did a somersault, hoping that when I opened my eyes, I would be falling towards the Colosseum. As I did this, I shouted,
      "Rome!"
      Unfortunately, I woke myself up.

I wasn't quite awake, but was back in my body seeing nothing but blackness and feeling SP. This has come up a few times before- I like to think of it as the "loading program" for DEILD's, like from The Matrix.

I had a view of a scene for a second, like I was looking through a peephole. I concentrated on the sand on the floor of the Colosseum (think Gladiator), rubbed my hands in it, and soon felt integrated enough to stand up. I was in the Colosseum all right, but it was night time, and the floor area was slightly smaller than I expected. There were people standing all around me, looking up at the crowd. They were all carrying weapons of some kind, but not much armour. The most anyone had was a helmet.

Suddenly, a klaxon sounded. It was a really horrific noise, lasting two seconds, coming from some unearthly instrument. At its sound, the gladiators in the arena drew their weapons and charged at each other. The crowd roared. I reached down by my sides and pulled out two scimitars.
"Haah!" I laughed. I was still in my dressing gown. I ran forward into the nearest bunch of fighters, slashing wildly. I don't even know if I got anybody, but after a minute the survivors ran off.

I paused to indulge in some victorious sword-twirling, but dropped one. I sheepishly threw the other one down beside it, hoping the crowd would think it was deliberate.

I had a FA then, in my bedroom. My TV was switched on, which is unusual becuase it has no aerial input, and the DVD player doesn't work. I sat up in bed, too aware of this oddity to be fooled into non-lucidity. I wanted to examine what was on carefully, to determine whether or not I was hearing the TV from downstairs or something. The first thing was an ad for PKR. The ad's audio claimed that it was PokerStars, but I recognised the sims-like graphics of PKR. It was one of those ads which makes online-poker look really cool. One female player put in a big raise, and the grey-haired dude to her left raised his eyebrow suspiciously before confidently calling her bluff to win the hand. Then Glee came on, a show I've never really been interested in. One of the main characters was sleeping on a pile of bedclothes on the floor. Her friend came in and woke her up. What convinced me that I was not in fact hearing the TV from downstairs, was that she called the main main character "Glee". I knew this to be bullshit, since the name "Glee" comes from "Glee Club"- which I understand to be a nerdy persuit in High Shool. (Thanks to Weird Al)

I half-woke up again, and visualised being back in front of the TV, drumming on the stand. I ended up a few feet back from the TV, with an awesome redhead sitting on my lap. She showed me a good time.

After another DEILD, I found myself lounging on my bed talking to some friends. Well, I tried to talk but couldn't make any noise without (I reckoned) waking myself up. The curtains were closed, giving the room an orangey glow. I skipped forward and wound up in the back seat of a car with three of my friends. I tried to get a certain hot girl I know to appear beside me, but I only managed to spawn an ugly 15 yr old girl. :S I don't think I was 100% lucid here, because I got a "false memory" implanted somehow. Apparently I had just been camping with this group of friends.

I woke up yet again, and my whole body felt seriously heavy, like it was made of stone. I think I'm getting better at holding on to dreams. To get back in again, I "felt" myself typing random words, which just formed up in my subconsious. Some of them were complete jibberish, and they certainly didn't make any sense as a sentence. However I distinctly remember typing the word "Personality".

In another DEILD, I heard a very distinctive, high-pitched whine. It seemed to be coming from my brain itself, and felt like a vibration. Hard to describe. I focused on it until it became almost deafening, and made me extremely dizzy. I found myself in the living room, and decided to go visit my friend Lucy from down the street. I ran and headbutt-dived through the front window as I did once before, and headed out of the driveway. I accidentally knocked my shin against the wall on the way out which actually hurt a bit!

I was eventually woken up by someone knocking the door downstairs. I heard it from within the dream, which made me focus too much on the waking world. When I awoke, I found a massive pool of drool under my face.
    13. Log 10, Subway, Mellow Mushroom and Jacob Black fight

by , 07-08-2010 at 11:06 AM (World of Kaos)
The dream starts me off in the parking lot of my old neighborhood. I am going around looking for something to eat, so I go and grab some subway. The subway is there in the middle of the parking lot, out in the middle of the open with no building around it at all. I then remember ordering a chicken bacon ranch, then driving home and eating it at the same time.

      ________

I go with some buddies to Mellow Mushroom to drink a few beers and hang out. Don't remember too much of this one...

      ________

I am suddenly chasing after this kid on a skateboard, and I am on one as well. We start off in the parking lot, and end up right next to each other on the sidewalk. Ahead of us coming up are a couple of cars that are about to cross our paths, and I barely dodge one of them as I hauled ass passed it. The kid I was chasing wasn't so lucky and slammed into the car with a loud and satisfying THUD. With a smile on my face, I keep skateboarding down the sidewalk.

All of a sudden he shows up again in front of me, so I try and use my super-powers to slow him down and spin him out of control. Thats when I realized... I don't have any superpowers, I must be dreaming! I actually said "I am dreaming out loud to myself" to ensure myself. I gathered myself together as I let the kid I was chasing run off into the distance, and remembered one of my lucid goals. So I flew to the nearest woods I was by to face off with that pathetic excuse of a werewolf Jacob Black.

As I was flying over towards the woods, I could already see the body of a large brown bodied wolf chasing after my position in the air by foot. So, I sped up ahead of him and landed in front of him, making an effortless transformation into my own large gray wolf body. I could smell the musk of him, as well as see the anger in his facial expression as he ran on towards me. The sound of deep panting and his large paws hitting the ground was what I heard right before he made the first move.

Leaping onto my side, Jake's jaws were ferociously snapping together trying to go in for the kill. As I lie on the ground, one bite did clip me in the neck. Furious, I got up as quickly as I could and shoved him off. As he stood there for a second, I took my opportunity and lunged for a kill shot. As I leaped towards him, I pressed both of my large front paws onto his chest, toppling him over onto his side. After I recovered from my own leap, I got back up and stood over top of him. He was pinned, and it was time to end it.

I opened my jaws to show my teeth, and bit down on his neck as hard as I could and jerked from side to side.

Then I woke up. What pissed me off is that I never knew if he was going to be dead or not. Also, take note that the lucid dream actually very short, as all of it happened very quickly after I became lucid. I could have used sustaining lucid dreaming techniques, such as spinning or rubbing hands, but that would be somewhat hard in wolf form.

      NON-DREAM DREAM LUCID

Six and last dream of the night. This one fully lucid, but the dream wanted badly to fade. I completed one of the tasks of the year

I was in the interior of a building. The floor was dark black and the walls were darkwood color. The building was almost empty. I felt that the dream started to fade The time I recorded last dream, I was about to wake up for this one. I saw the image vanishing and I realized that if the imaged faded, it would be a dream, so I spinned to recover the dream. I noted some bathrooms at the end of the building. I saw a very hot Dream Character half naked, I felt really tempted but the dream tried to fade before so I did not want to put it at risk. I knew I would wake up if I had sex with her.

I remembered to do the task of the year. I also remembered some personal goals, but that would require me to talk with DC and I was afraid to wake up if I did. I wanted to keep moving fast to avoid premature waking.

My dream started to fade again, so once more, I spinned to recover it. I also did a few reality checks, all of them failed. I had twisted fingers and the thumb in the wrong place. After this, the dream tried to fade once more, so I spung and recovered it.

I wanted to do the ToTY fast. I went to the end of the building and saw a dead end. I decided to open a portal that it would bring me to the dino era. I rose my hand and a black vortex appeared on the wall. It was dark, like a wormhole.

I jumped in, it was dark and I was afraid my dream would fade, so I keep spinning as I was traveling inside the vortex. I saw a rainforest under my feet. It was sunny. My dream started to fade again. I spinned more to stablelize it. It did. Now I was inside the rainforest. I saw several dinosaurs around me. I looked at the sky and I saw a fireball coming very fast. It was a meteorite!

A second later, it hit the ground. The whole forest was turned into ashes. I also saw several dead dinosaours. I realized I completed my 2nd task of the year and I was ready to wake up and finalize the dream (afterall, my dream was trying to end anyway) I remembered the hot DC of before, so I said, well, why not.
I summoned her, and she appeared. She had black long hair and she had a pefect body. She wore blue shrink to fit jeans. She was gorgeous. I pulled down her pants and found out what I had to find (most of you know) I was glad and I had sex with her. The dream faded instantly, however, I had the right amount of time to finish.

I had a false awakening. I was at the Pata Negra store. It was a different store, not the real one. I wanted to go to the other room to write down my dream. When I was about to leave, the phone rang. I was worried I would forget the lucid. The phone rang with the same sound that the real phone in the store does. It was my boss. He said something about two new interviews for the restaurant. I could not understand him. I asked him to repeat a couple of times, but I was not able to understand him. I said, "Javier, I can't understand you, this phone is doing funny stuff, can you come to the store and tell me?" She replied, "Sure."

He came to the store and explained to me, "I am going to do two interviews for two potential employees for the restaurant, so do not go to the next room" I was frustated and though if writing the dream on my phone would be worth it. My boss kept saying, "I also have a group interview in a couple of hours. It was Jaime's idea!" (
In waking, I do not know who is Jaime) "I think is great to spot but employees and get rid of them!"

I asked my boss, "This has nothing to do with me, right?" He replied, "No, no, no, no. It's just for the restaurant. I told you many times that I am very happy with you, I trust you a lot and I do not want you to leave. Do not even think about that. It's just the restaurant's business." I felt good for his kind words and woke up.

    15. The Earth melts while I enjoy a chocolate cake in the moon

The Earth melts while I enjoy a chocolate cake in the moon (MILD)

      NON-DREAM DREAM LUCID

I was at home, in my room. It was day and I was going to leave somewhere with my wife. I became lucid instantly

My wife was ready to go, but I walked around home to make sure my dream was stable enough. I had a small flight around home, but nothing fancy, I levitated a bit and flew around.

I told my wife, "Hold on, this is a Dream and I'm lucid. I want to make it stable first!!" She looked at me like if I was nuts. I remember that I could blast the Earth and destroy it (for the "End of the World" task of the year) I rose my hand and created an energy blast. However, the blast was not stable so I decided to stop and hold tighter to the dream.

I remembered that a user in this forum had in his signature "Pray" as a goal within his lucid dream. I prayed for a few moments to accomplish it (It's not my goal, but I wanted to do it anyway)

I appeared at a theme park. I enjoyed the theme park, rode a few things, walked around and observed how fun were having other DC. I remember the park was very vivid. The sky was very blue, the theme park was crowded of people and I could see a lot of detail.

I remember about doing the task of the year. I thought that a gladiator fight would be easier as I was in a theme park. I started to look for gladiators. I could not find any so I asked a policeman and to a couple of DC. They directed me and I kept walking without any success. I found a kiosk store for Cricket Wireless. One of the employees grabbed my arm and I pushed him abruptly. The other employee told him, "Hold on. Not yet." I asked him if he knew were the amphitheater was. He pointed me to it and asked me, "So, what cell phone do you have now?" I replied, "I have a HTC Mytouch. Cricket does not offer such phone, so sorry." Both salesman appeared sad.

I kept walking and I found a weird restaurant were I was indicated. I asked one of the employees about the gladiators. She told me, "Yeah. It's here." I entered the restaurant and walked down a few stairs. I got to a room with not much light. The decoration was old school. There were a few tables around. The tables were round with a candle in the middle. At the end, there was a small theater. There were Mariachis dancing and singing in Spanish. I asked another employee about the gladiators and she told me it was going to be next. I was a little annoyed because I did not want to wait, I was afraid to wake up. I realized that if I saw the gladiator fight, it would not be valid. I was somewhere in the future and I had to be in the actual time in order to accomplish it, so I just flew away.

I was walking with another friend. I told him I wanted to do the Task of the Year. He looked at me with a weird face. I decided that as I was in the future, I could complete the task, "End of the World" I knew that it was OK if I destroyed the Earth in order to provoke the End of the World. I remembered I could do energy blasts.

I flew to a small building and my friend did as well. I've made an energy blast twice big as a basketball. It looked like this:

The blast was intense, but it had not much color and I felt it was like a bubble. I threw it in the water and I saw it vanish inside the crust of the Earth. My friend laughed at and and claimed it did nothing. I was sure it would damage the Earth but I did not know how, so I told him to hold on.

Suddenly, I see bubbles in the water and my friend says, "Oh... how scary." I replied, "Oh yeah? Just hold!" Suddenly, a giant gaiser showed up. The water was very hot and it reached the sky. My friend said, "Oh.. a geiser. Like if you are going to destroy the Earth like that." A few DC freaked out, but not many. I told him, "The gaiser will raise the Earth Temperature... but one gaiser may not be enough for you, how about several?" My friend stopped laughing and started to worry.

I threw several energy blasts and the same effect happened. All the DC were freaking out, screaming and running. There were several gaisers and the whole atmosphere was turning into a wall of vapor. The heat skyrocketed and the North Pole started to melt. The water level started to raise very fast.

I had an unfinished building on my back, so I started to climb it the same way an ape would do it

My friend came with me until I reached the top of the building. The water level was on my head, so I decided to swim to a taller building. The water was very hot, but it was bearable. I asked my friend if we would have time to swim before everything starts to boil. I get tired of dealing with it and I just jump and reach the moon. My friend followed me. My friend had a chocolate cake in his hands. He claimed it was from his country.

I was observing the fate of the Earth from the moon. The Earth was all blue, I could not see any of the continents. A huge mass of clouds covered the entire earth. This mass of clouds was thinker and thinker until I witnessed the Earth melting itself. The whole planet melted and disappeared.

I was in the mood, enjoying the cake proud of my accomplishment. Neil Armstrong came to my mind, and I though in summoning him, however, I remembered that I was only allowed one task per dream so I passed.

I observed the moon to see if I found someone such Raven or Wakingnomad, but I saw no one but my friend. I could see a few vagrant images from videogames floating around the moon. I also saw a pikachu's head.

I was happy enjoying the moon but I decided it was time to wake up and write down the dream. It passed a lot of time and I was afraid of forgetting it. I summoned a bed, lied down and closed my eyes.

I had a false awakening without lucidity. I told my wife I had to write down my dream. I ran out of my bed and went to the backyard. I sat in a iron chair and used an iron table (classic white garden iron table) I opened my DJ and it was full, no room to write the dream down. I was afraid I would forget the dream so I called my wife for another journal.

She told me that before getting my first journal, I had to remove all the cash and credit cards attached to my dream journal (There were credit cards attached like additional pages of the journal and business cards from several companies) I grabbed a few $20 bills and put them in my pocket while I laughed. The dream vanishes and I wake up.
