    1. Lots of Fragments

by , 08-20-2012 at 11:11 PM (Fennecgirl's Collection of Dreams)
Okay, here's what I remember from last night...

The first one I remember was at my house. In my room, in front of my TV, there was a box full of VHS tapes and DVDs. These were in the "library", so they would come and go as people "checked out" and "returned" them (people didn't actually come into my room; they would go to the library, where checking out a video would cause it to disappear from my room, while returning one would cause it to reappear).

One of the videos was The Minish Cap (a movie based off of the Zelda game, I'm guessing); I decided I'd come back for it later so I could watch it with my friend Lizz. It was on a VHS tape, by the way.

When I came back later (I can't remember any parts of the dream in between), it had been checked out already. However, it was available on DVD, but I didn't want that one because I wanted to watch it in my room (which doesn't really make sense, since I have a DVD player AND a VCR in my room, so either would work).

After waking up from that, I decided to attempt DEILD again. I was barely awake when I woke up, which I figured was good for DEILD. I decided I wanted to enter a Zelda-related dream, so I pictured the first Zelda-related thing I could think of: the Spirit Train. I probably could've come up with something better, like a specific location, but keep in mind that my mind was far from fully awake at the time.

Anyway, I quickly slipped into a dream, but, instead of a lucid dream, I entered a false lucid dream instead (i.e., I had control but didn't know I was dreaming). When I woke up from it, it actually took me a moment to actually figure out if that had been a dream or if I'd just imagined it while still partially awake (like in hypnagogia), but I concluded that it was definitely a dream because, although the actual memory of it was really fuzzy (making it harder to tell), I could definitely remember being able to see everything (as opposed to just knowing it's there without actually seeing it, like in daydreaming or visualization).

Anyway, shortly after entering the dream, the Spirit Train disappeared. I quickly concluded that it had disappeared because there were no tracks, so I made the Spirit Tracks appear and summoned the Spirit Train again. I did this by just wanting it to appear, which caused it to appear right before my eyes (I'm assuming this worked because I knew it was supposed to be there and had been there just moments before). The rest of the dream consisted of me making the Spirit Train reappear a few more times (since it kept disappearing) before waking up.

I had another dream last night, in which a bunch of girls were using my laptop to look at pictures of Martin Luther King, Jr. for some reason. I went outside to the backyard (my backyard). I could the local elementary school next door, which, for some reason, seemed perfectly normal. Anyway, there were these guys outside, and they used some weird handheld device to fire an electromagnetic pulse into the air, which caused a pulsating ball of light to appear in the sky.

I had one final dream, in which I was watching Doctor Who. The episode started with a dream that Amy Pond was having. It was rather surreal and... not like a dream. It would show an image of her against a white background, then switch to a quick scene from her dream (the background never changed, though), then back to the first image, then onto another dream, and so on. One of the scenes was the Doctor kissing her...

Anyway, shortly after she woke up, I woke up.
    2. Doctor Who Dreams/Second LD

by , 07-23-2012 at 01:36 PM (Fennecgirl's Collection of Dreams)
I went to bed around midnight (kinda late for me) and woke up at some point during the night due to a thunderstorm. I fell back asleep not long after it passed and had the first dream I remember from last night. It was about the Doctor (the Eleventh Doctor, to be specific). I was watching in third-person, by the way. Anyway, he went into this weird, cartoon-like place. It became realistic fairly quickly, and then there was some epic battle I can barely recall between the Doctor and some guy I'm assuming was a bad guy.

I woke up again at 6:30 and decided to go back to sleep. This time, I dreamed that I WAS the Doctor... and I was just outside at my church. I went around to the side of the building (which is actually my friend's backyard; she's the pastor's daughter and lives next door to the church. Their backyard essentially doubles as church property) to find the TARDIS and Amy Pond. I found the TARDIS right where I expected and entered it. Unlike on the show, it was NOT bigger on the inside. Anyway, for some reason, I got mad at Amy (who had apparently been allowed to fly the TARDIS) for leaving it out in the rain (I'm not sure why; besides, it was barely even raining).

(It's not really surprising my mind would dream up something like that, seeing as I went to church yesterday and then watched Doctor Who later. Well, it is a bit odd that I was the Doctor, though... I'm almost ALWAYS myself in dreams.)

I woke up to find it was only 6:45. I drifted off to sleep yet again and woke up without recalling any dreams... or so I thought. I noticed a big Pikachu bead sprite on my wall and couldn't remember it ever being there, so I looked at my hand to see if I was dreaming. I counted five fingers, concluded that I wasn't dreaming, and picked up my iPod to check the time. Well, whatever the time was, it wasn't 103:53. Now, I knew I that I WAS dreaming after all. After the two attempts it took to unlock my iPod (it glitched up the first time), I noticed that I had some apps I don't have in real life as well as a different background. The background was bright orange. Upon closer inspection, I realized it had a picture with rather a lot of text over the top (also in orange, but in a different shade). I tried to read what it said but discovered that it was all in gibberish.

I put my iPod down and sat up, ready to try some dream control. Despite having full (or, at the very least, a lot of) control over myself, it didn't occur to me at the time that I had immediate LD goals (i.e., completing the TOTM and meeting my dream guide), so I just decided to do the first thing that came to mind. I closed my eyes. 'When I open my eyes, I will be in... Skyloft!' I thought to myself, naming the first fictional place that came to mind. I opened my eyes, a bit disappointed that I was still in my room.

I remembered that some people unintentionally wake up when they close their eyes, so I checked my iPod again to make sure I was still dreaming. It still said the time was 103:53. I was still dreaming. Being one who likes to sleep in in the mornings, I laid back down and closed my eyes, finding myself back in reality shortly after.
    3. Bodyswap, Alton Towers and a SPACESHIP :D

      [Dream in blue.]
      [Lucid in red.]
      [Nightmare in pink.]
      [Non-dream in normal.]

      Dream #1: Bodyswap.

I don’t remember much, because it was my first dream of the night and I had a fraught morning, but, what I do remember, is that Jen (who lives 300~ miles away) and I bodyswapped. I’m not sure why, exactly, though, because we bodyswapped into dolls, but continued to be human-like.

      I do, however, remember this:

I’m on MSN with her, with a bodyswap device in my hand, ready to swap back into my body (which she’s sporting) and give her hers back (which I’m sporting). I tell her I’m just setting it up to go and she asks why. I say because we were meant to be sleeping together tonight and I was hoping to have sex with her [but even if she’s down there in my body, and I’m up here in hers... it doesn’t really count.]

She says she’s happy in my body for the night and we should swap back and my parents should come fetch her tomorrow. I say but I really wanted to sleep with her and I say I’m going to do it. So I turn to my dad and I say that I’m going to swap back now and he needs to go fetch me in a minute. He says I can’t do that tonight and to stick with the body I’ve got.

I’m about to start having a go at him
      , when I wake up.

      Dream #2: Alton Towers

I’m at Alton Towers for some really strange reason. I think I’m there with college. And then, because I’m not enjoying myself anymore, I get on the coach to go home, even though it about five hours too early. The coach driver says he’ll go around in circles because he can’t stay at Alton Towers. I say okay.

Next thing I know, Luke’s on the coach with me, on the seat next to me. The ventilation is open overhead and there’s a nice breeze coming in. I ask what he’s doing here and he says he was bored. I say okay. He asks where the coach is going and I tell him it’s going round in circles. He says he wants to go back to Alton Towers and I say I don’t know whether it’ll go back there, but it doesn’t matter, because we live next door to each other [we do] and if the coach takes us home, he’ll get home too.

I get a response much like, “Fair dues.” and we carry on sitting next to each other in comfortable silence. Then I wake up.

      Dream #3: Spaceship.

This was the best dream I’ve had in a while.

I’m on a spaceship, with a pregnant Amy Pond [from Doctor Who] and two other men [who we’ll call Man #1 and Man #2 to avoid utter confusion on my part]. I’m in the ventilation shafts [like Jeffrey’s Tubes from Star Trek], which are shining blue and are a little bit too small.

The floor is gridded, but it doesn’t hurt to be sat on or crawl across and it’s pretty light, so I can see where I am.

I’m on a pillow, so I think I’ve been sleeping here, and Amy is near me. We talk about something, but I’m not sure what, and I notice there’s a book or two nearby, but I don’t take note of the titles. I’ve been there a while, but I’m not sure why. I’m part of the crew, though.

I crawl through the tunnels until I reach the main area, where I find out from Man #1 that the transport pod, used to navigate through the tunnels, has been ejected, leaving us with a gaping hole with no air.

I decide to test this, so I grab a remote, crawl through the tunnels and emerge into an enormous glass area. I can see space through the glass, but I can’t see how high the glass is. I point the remote upwards and press the button, knowing I’m going to die if it goes wrong.

This object illuminates high up; it’s shaped like a bauble
but made of golden lights. I grin and shout to the others that it’s safe to come out.

Question! I have not seen this on any of the threads!-homebase-bauble.jpg

They shout at me, because I was an idiot. I shrug because I don’t care.

Next thing I know, I’m at the top of this pillar thing in the middle of the gigantic room, about 60ft or so in the air. It’s tall and thin, branching out four ways at the top and I’m sat on one of the four, straddling it and pulling plastic covers off the main spike in front of me, revealing information inside. I find out that the captain (deceased) didn’t like books, excluding about five. Because of his fondness for these five books, he allowed them on board. They were listed, and I thought they were boring.

The next plastic cover reveals, in the captain’s voice, that he had taken the bauble pod thing to get away. I don’t know why.

Suddenly, the spoke I’m sat on gives way and I start to fall, but I grab on to the main bit and shout for help. Man #2 reaches out and helps me clamber onto the second spoke. Man #1, far below, is flicking through some manuals and commenting on them. He’s boring me, so I start looking through the plastic things again, while Man #1 talks to me. I don’t remember the conversation.

After I’ve been through the second plastic things, that spoke gives way, but I manage to clutch on to the top of the colemn and stop myself from falling, but my legs are dangling and I start screaming for help, but the two men ignore me.

I reckon they would have caught me eventually, but I’ll never know because I woke up.

All in all, I missed a bunch of dream signs; bodyswapping, Alton Towers, spaceships, Jen, Amy Pond, Doctor Who, Star Trek, claustrophobia... But oh whatever. I'll do better next time. Although that spaceship dream would have been EPIC lucid.
