    1. Nightmare Involving a Terrier

      I dug up this entry from a slightly older dream journal.

      I was lying on my queen bed inside my bedroom; it had beige walls and plush tan carpet. My bed had a duvet with a rainbow stripe cover, and this was what I was lying on. The lights were dimmed, and this cast a slightly creepy feeling onto the dream. I got up and became semi-lucid as I did, walking towards the white door to my room, which was closed. I had to pull a bit to open it, but then it opened. I had more lucidity at this point, so I decided to walk out into the hallway and summon people. But the hallway was extremely dark, almost black.

      Suddenly, I felt something bite me hard on my foot, so I pulled back. "Hey!" I demanded. "Whoever did that, get over here, now!" Since it was a dream, I figured I'd use a commanding voice to get what I wanted. It was a shadow, almost shaped like a terrier dog, and it slipped quickly in front of me, then stayed still. I looked down at it. "What was that for? Bad dog."

      It began to growl at me, and I saw translucent red beginning to drip from its sides. as well as teeth being bared. "Sorry about that," I said, trying to appeal to its better nature so it didn't attack me. Perhaps it was more powerful than I could control in this dream. "Want to go out for dinner?" I asked, wildly improvising.

      "Sure," I heard come from it. It was a squeak, almost like a child's voice. We both exited the room and walked into the dark hallway. A few steps and I saw cracks of light coming from a door...

    2. Night 5: Snakes, school, and a feline dreamguide

      Last night's dreams are pretty fragmented, but I figure since I'm fairly behind in my journaling I should get a move on.

      To start, the first thing I remember is trying to get into a building of some sort but being hindered by a huge mob of snakes. It was me and one other person (maybe my girlfriend?) along with a huge golden retriever. We were trying to move the snakes with sticks, but eventually I ended up with a hatchet, so I just chopped them up. After a while I felt hopeless for some reason, like there was no way we'd ever make it through the snakes, so for whatever reason I just started sawing at the dog's leg with my hatchet. I soon realized that was ridiculous and cruel, so I stopped and hugged the dog while he ate the rest of the snakes.

      I really honestly don't remember any sort of chronology for the rest of it. I do remember having several dreams within dreams, and for some reason I feel like I was trying to infiltrate someone else's dream (or maybe the dreams of multiple people, I don't know). At one point I ended up at my high school (which didn't look anything like my high school) for some sort of beginning-of-the-year orientation, even though I just graduated high school in May. I kept trying to figure out why I was required to be there, and I kept looking around for anyone I might know that had graduated with me to confirm that graduated seniors were actually supposed to be there, but I didn't find anyone. After I went through a bunch of hand-stamping and other weird shit (I did note that when the lady stamped my palm, it looked different every time I looked at it--I'm getting so close to a lucid dream but I can never remember to actually think that I'm dreaming, even if I notice things are ridiculous!), I started talking to a woman who was evidently the new leader of my "team" at the high school (right now we have a dean for half of the student body, then another dean for the other half, so I guess she was replacing one of them). She talked forever about absolutely nothing, and at one point a young man walked up and started making fun of her, saying I was only here for one thing: to see the ladies. At that point he very quickly drew a cartoonish girl on a piece of paper, and I smiled at him and walked into the cafeteria.

      The tables were arranged in such a way that I think it was impossible to get to certain seats. It was set up like one of those impossible geometric shapes, like the endless staircase or the Möbius strip, so when I spotted my brother sitting at one of the tables and he waved at me (my brother's gonna be a junior in high school next year, so it made sense that he was at the orientation), I just jumped up on the tables and walked across them to get to him. I heard a female voice chastise me for it--when I looked to my left there was a girl yelling at me, but seeing as how she was still a student at the high school she was younger than me and I therefore didn't pay her any mind. Another dude started yelling at me for being an asshole to the girl, and I apologized, but I tried to explain to them that if I hadn't climbed over the tables I would had to go all the way around the cafeteria to get to that spot. They were still pissed and eventually I stopped talking to them. Also, for whatever reason, I had sunglasses on the whole time.

      The next part was the last part. It made absolutely no sense, but that's because it was like a string of continual false-awakenings. I remember some sort of flood happening, but I don't know what that has to do with anything. All I can remember is that through all my fragmented dreams last night, I can remember feeling the presence of a certain being--a cat with a wizard's hat on it. He changes color depending on what dream I'm remembering him in, but he was always there last night. Finally my last dream consisted of me actually conversing with him in an entirely abandoned clearing surrounded by forest. We were on a brick-paved circular clearing and I was sitting in front of him. We were talking about whether or not I had proven myself capable of infiltrating other people's dreams for him, and I was really really desperate for him to consider me worthy. All I asked was, "Do you believe in me?" And he said yes. It was at that point though that I woke up at an earlier point in the dream where the flood was happening again. As I encountered people during that flood (my girlfriend included, I think--because at some point we had a conversation with her mother about our sex life, and I'm pretty sure her mother doesn't know that we HAVE sex life...yeah.), I laughed to myself, because none of them had any idea what was going on, but for me it unfolded exactly the way it had in my dream earlier, so I knew exactly what was going to happen. Then I had another false awakening and found myself with the cat again, and realized he'd tricked me. Still, I couldn't be angry because I realized he was just testing me to see if I was good enough to infiltrate dreams, and I'd just failed his test. I asked him if he stilled believed in me, and he said, "Of course I still believe in you."

      I feel like that process might have repeated itself a few times...but finally at the end I was watching a movie with my girlfriend and two other people, a guy and a girl who were siblings that I didn't recognize, and as we watched the movie I realized that all the movie was was a replay of the flood from earlier. Before I realized that the siblings' mother would come in and out bringing us popcorn or whatever, but the instant I realized that I'd lived through the flood that we were watching, their mother came out in the form of a cat. And that's when I was sure of it--this cat is my dreamguide. The cat talked to me and the girl (not my girlfriend), but I don't remember what he said. Eventually I turned to face the girl and her eyes had become like cat eyes...and that's when I woke up.

      It was pretty fragmented last night, but I got pretty close to lucidity I think.
    3. 2010-08-01 My first Dream journal since joining (completion of the monthly tasks)

      when the dream started i was playing around in a big monastery with my friend who i really didn't recognize, he hade a shaved haircut and he must have been around 30 years old. we were running around the different levels of the monastery witch was quite run down so many of the stairs and such were missing, witch only made great obstacles for playing around on. after a while my friend fell down to the first floor and i jumped after him. it didn't hurt us in any way so i realized it was some kind of a dream. as soon as i realized this the monastery started to collapse, big chunks of rock and stair and monks where falling down all over the place and i ran out as fast as i could. i ran out through the entrance but as soon as i passed the there was a metal gate that closed behind me and my friend was trapped the whole monastery was about to collapse upon him. And then i realized i could teleport him out of the monastery so i decided to try and teleport him out, it was hard and i didn't think it was going to work but it did. My friend didn't understand what had happened bud he was very greateful anmd he thanked me. we where out on a field so proceeded to fly around at first it was awesome but then it went waaaay to fast and i almost crashed into the mast of a pirate ship witch was stranded in the middle of the field like a beached whale. I flew back to my friend and told him about the situation and that i was dreaming lucidly. He understood and the first thing he tried to do was to start flying, he flew away and seemed to have speed problems aswell. I thought about it alittle and then i suddemly saw thre colours flash in my mind. The task of the month ! so i tried summoning something green and it was a book, i started reading it but it was going to slowly so i super-read it it was like sucking the information out from the book. then i tried something red and i was hungry at the same time so it was a big bowl of pasta and tomato sauce, witch i shared with my friend who had recently landed. when i tried to summon something blue it just wouldnt happen and i got frustrated so i started flying again. it was still way to fast so i enabled a menu of some kind and i pulled a flight speed slider to 50% instead of 150%. It sure made a difference, now i was flying really slowly and it had some kind of an anti-gravity feel to it, witch really was fine and all but it was still hard to controll but not as dangerous as flying waaay to fast. i landed on the pirate ships lookout tower and looked around i saw my friend but nothing else. so i jumped down on the deck and my friend joined me, i wanted to play alittle with my powers so i tried morphing my arm into a armcannon like samus aran has. I failed but not completely, what i now had was an old fashioned Iron and black powder armcannon and it was good enough. I fired a ball at the mast and it made a clean round hole straight through the mast. i fired again and it broke off one side of the hole. the mast didn't fall over and i was getting irritated. my friend morphed his arm into a musket and fired it onto the little piece of mast that was still remaining. It fell and crushed against the ground. I tried morphing my arm into a musket aswell but i only got a tattoo of a musket on my hand when i tried. but it didn't matter because i could still shoot with it. we walked below deck and found a treasure chest and inside were a pair of blue jeans witch i put on as fast as i could because i was naked, we then walked out of the ship through a hole my friend blasted with his arm-musket. there was one more thing i had to do before i left and that was ride a unicorn i thought, so i tried summoning one but i only managed to summon a narwhal witch i mounted and started to ride. i later morphed the narwhal into a unicorn after many failed attempts i finally succeded and then i woke up into another dream where i was in a big livingroom with bunches of weapons on the walls (swords and hammers, flails and such) my little brother and my mom were there but i was frodo from the lord of the rings saga. suddenly a horde of orcs and other tolkien creatures started coming into the room and we started battling against them. my mother grabbed a big plank with gigantic nails sticking out of it and started whacking away i was irritated that she was such a horrible fighter but it didn't bother me that much. my brother grabbed two swords and was doing quite well since he plays alot of sports and is athletic but i couldn't find any waeapon that i preferred. i grabbed a stick and a little knife and started fighting. after a while sauron erupted from the ground like a volcano and started walkign toward me. he stopped and held out his hand, we proceeded to have a tug of war with the ring in the center (the one ring) instead of a rope. i won the tug of war and went over to the fireplace and put it in a spoon and it melted. then i woke up for real this morning with my mother shouting at me to wake up.. i think there was more to the dream but i can't remember it ...
    4. Lights On the Water and a Dream Wthin a Dream

      I didn't sleep well. Couldn't remember a single dream. Kept waking up and going back to sleep. Until Phillip went to church. I woke up for a while and when I went back to sleep I had an EPIC dream.

      This time I was on a road trip down south with Lloyd and Robby. Most of what I remember is driving back up North. I was using a GPS but I kept making wrong turns so we visited lots of different places, stopping whenever we saw something interesting. Many things happened but there's a particular image I want to preserve.

      It's night time and I'm high up on a hill overlooking a city. The city's built on the shore--and the islands--of a vast lake. The lights of the houses wink on and off like a hundred million fireflies or early morning dew on a freshly baled field, and each is reflected in the dark water. I am full of awe and the perfect understanding of why I travel.

      Another especially interesting fragment: my subconscious is trying its damndest to hand control over to my conscious mind. In my dream I'd stopped at a hotel and while asleep I'd dreamed about my main dream cue.

      In the dream in a dream I'm sitting on a bench outside a strip mall kind of thing. It's very upscale and the windows of the shops are enormous. i'm waiting for someone. Robby, I think. I'm still on the road trip. I dont' know how much of what I remember is the dream in a dream. But I'm certain of this part.

      I look in a window and see my reflection. I decide I want no hair on the left half of my head. I take out a razor and begin shaving. It's a pink disposable razor and I'm having trouble. At some point it becomes a brush made of hard plastic spirals. I think instead of shaving it actually pulled hair out. It pulled, anyway, and hurt slightly. I was still having trouble with it and could only manage to make a bald spot on the left front of my head. A girl on a bench across from me commented that I was messing up the color distributions (in the waking world I have dark blond hair and a bleached mohawk) and I explained what I was up to.

      Later (back in dream layer one) I was in the car and remembering my dream from the night before. But when I put my hand through my hair the bald spot was STILL THERE. "How could that be?" I thought. I had a brief minor freak out in which I believe I *almost* attained lucidity. Instead I decided I mush have actually pulled my hair out while I was asleep. I'm getting close.

      So many scenes and places. Takes so long to write. I've captured the two most important parts so I'll leave things here for now. Perhaps I'll pick up later.

    5. First lucid dream

      Right now, I'm home in Memphis, and I'd already woken up for real a few times this morning, but I was being a typical teenager and trying to milk every bit of sleep out of the day, so I kept going back to sleep. The last time was different, though. I woke up in my bed like I had been, and then I was walking into the house I stayed at in Daytona during the summer, but I was confused because it wasn't really the house I had stayed at. It had a different layout. Then I looked around and saw two of my friends from here in Memphis and remembered that that friend was getting a place off campus to live and that this was his house, not mine. And then it hit me. I thought, "This doesn't make sense. I just woke up in my bed in memphis, how did I get to Daytona? I must be dreaming." At that point, I was back standing in front of my room. First thing I tried was to fly down the hallway, succesfully. I walked out the front door, levetated a rock and changed it into something else, don't remember what. Some of my fraternity brothers were outside when I walked out the door. I tried changing some more rocks, but it didn't work and I was getting frustrated because the world was becoming out of focus, so I remembered an article I read and sad "clarify" out loud a few times and it seemed to work. I walked a little further around the house and at the corner, one of my brothers was digging a hole and it had an enormous spider in it. I tried to materialize something to kill the spider, but it didn't work and the spider jumped out and scurried down to the barn. Next, I'm at the barn. One of my brothers and Legolas (yes, Legolas from Lord of the Rings) are there with me. Legolas goes upstairs and finds the body of the spider. It's dead but seems as though babies have come out of it. We all go outside and there are bees flying around. I try making the be swarm disappear, and it slowly does. Then, I look up and and see that it's cloudy and I want it to be brighter, so I raise my hands and start trying to move the clouds out of the way of the sun. I am successful in this, and in moving the sun further off the horizon. Then I notice that the sun isn't a ball, but is shaped like a flag and has a symbol on it from Saints Row 2. I look back at the people around me. I recognize three of them as my fraternity brothers: Tim P, Kenneth H., and Joey J.. I look at Tim and realize that he is wearing glasses and braces, which he doesn't have in real life so I make them disappear. Then I look at Joey and notice that of all the people I've seen in the dream, he looks the most like he does in real life. Then I woke up. This is the first time I've actually been able to manipulate parts of my dream, and it was so exciting. I can't wait to try again.

    6. Monster Hunter + Eragon

      Sonhei que estava no mundo de Monster Hunter, um jogo onde você caça monstros, dragões, etc. Uma das missões (na região chamada Forest&Hills) era matar um dragão azul (uma alusão ao livro Eragon, que estou lendo). Com um pouco de prática, eu já conseguia completar a missão facilmente. Após um tempo, habilitei outra missão, no mesmo local, onde deveria matar um dragão vermelho (Eldest). Era mais difícil que o outro, mas com o tempo conseguia matá-lo facilmente.
      Tive um fake awakening e vim anotar esse sonho no Dream Views, que inclusive tinha dado um texto enorme, com direito até a imagem!.

    7. Running a marathon

      My first lucid in forever! This dream made reaffirmed to me the theory that just having LDing on your mind can lead to LDing. It was surprising though that my first day back on DV was also my first lucid in a long long time. On that note, I am going to put this as my first LD in my profile, because I forget how many I've had before this one, but maybe if I can find my archived DJ from before this new format I will edit this personal one to include my older dreams...

      Anyway, on to the LD!

      This was a DILD:

      The dream started at the starting line of a marathon. I was there with my girlfriend and a few of her old suitemates from college. The gun went off and I started running up a muddy hill, which was the first part of the race. Overall the setting of the race reminded me of western Marin County in Northern California. There was a sort of ridgeline that marked the halfway point of the marathon, and the runners had to run up hill from the inland side of the ridgeline then over the top and down towards the coast. I noticed almost immediately a dream sign that is fairly common for me. As I try to run faster I start to slow down. In other words it is a very frustrating sensation of running through jelly when I want to sprint.

      This sensation was so strong that I would watch people who were walking casually pass me as I tried my hardest to run quickly. I ran like this for about a minute before starting to think something was strange. I suddenly thought "Oh hey! I might be injured." As I looked down at my legs, I realized that I was extending my legs out very far in front of me in this sort of elongated walk. I realized that my legs were stretching farther than they were long and at this point I became lucid! I quickly did an RC of pushing my finger through my hand and that was it! I knew I was dreaming.

      However, I was a bit disappointed at this point, because I only had a very low level of control of the dream. My lucidity was clearly not that strong, because I didn't really think about doing anything except continuing to run the marathon. I began to run again, and faced the problem again of my legs not obeying what I wanted them to do. Now though, I was able to exert a small amount of control on my dream. I thought to myself that if I were dreaming, I could just expect to run faster and I would. My legs immediately sped up, but unfortunately it only lasted for a couple of seconds, before the jelly legs took back over. To explain this phenomenon a bit more clearly, I have had many dreams where I am driving, and as I come up on a car in front of my I hit the breaks. However, the car doesn't really respond to the breaks and I can tell I'm about to hit the car in front of me. This problem with running was extremely similar.

      At this point I had a false awakening. I felt myself loosing the dream and "woke up" on my bed with my cat laying next to me. However, I then must have woken up again, because the next moment I was awake for real, and realized that my cat was locked out of the bedroom for the night, so she could never have been laying next to me. It is unfortunate that I couldn't parlay this FA into a new LD, but I am encouraged by the night overall, given how long it has been.

    8. Atop the Subway Station

      I was sitting with my brother in a building that had a subway station below it. It had large glass walls and benches everywhere. We were sitting near the entrance where there is a large space between the bench and doors, just staring out the windows and talking. I forget what triggered it, I just remember that it was something from a previous dream, but I became lucid. I was so positive that I did not need to do a reality check. I remember saying,

      "I had a feeling this was a dream the entire time"


      I get up and stand in the spacious spot. I jump in the air, hoping to hover or fly but I fall right on my ass. I get up. I wasn't unhappy though because last time I attempted to fly I woke up. This time I remained lucid which was pleasing to me. I looked at my brother, was staring around the place attentively, it was pretty funny how realistic he looked. I tried to fly again but then I had a false awakening. ...of course I didn't realize this until I woke up

    9. Wave 1: A first Glimpse, A first DJ entry

      Hi ppl of Dreamviews im Ray
      Listen to this, my experience so far.

      I just joined a three days ago and since ive been trying like hell to get lucid. My nose is all red from being constantly pinched and my mini notebook/journal is all scribbled.

      The first day it took me like 2 hours to sleep but I managed to remember my dream although i was not lucid.

      The second day I couldnt sleep. Took me over 2 and a half hours to sleep and i just couldnt focus. Real pain. The next morning I have NOTHING. TAB..NAK! Absolutly nothing! Im frustrated because i was sure being so tired and checking constantly that i had one and simply didnt remember.
      Wich brings me to this morning:

      No problem sleeping thats good. I wake up at 5:30 with nothing. Again. Now im really P...ED OFF. I do a reality check like every day, get up to drink juice because im really thirsty then go back to bed. I am just fuming. Plus im sure my last though was NOT my mantra since i stopped at some point. So im trying again for a while and just decide to try and sleep a lil before getting up.

      And then: I dream that im in the car with my family. I notice a thing that looks like a square spider web on my right window. I open and close it a couple of times to see wether its inside or outside. Its outside. I look over my head and see a spider. Not a huge one; just a normal, real life spider. Brown, wich i dont like. I sit in the backseat so theres an empty seat next to me at my left. I tell my mom and she says shel take care of it later. So i do what i would do in reality and change seats while constantly keeping my eye on it . Were back home and park on the side of the road on our street. While my family goes home, I stay near the car for my bug. I slip my head in the front window and look at the backseat. The radio is playing my fav band Billy Talent. Diamond on a Landmine. I remember the sound. Then (first thing out of the ordinary) I see the small tv screen in our car on some kind of pole...thing. For a couple seconds i look at it and see it start to jump to the beat. Like boing boing like in a cartoon.

      Splitsecond. Im dreaming. First though in my mind. I pinch my nose and breathe right through. Oh. Shit. Then the dream becomes all blurry and pow. Flash of white. I wake up. Or not. I did my homework and i know sometimes it seems like u wake up and u dont. False awakening. Yup. Still dreamin. As soon as i realise that its a false awakening I wake up for real. Now i have something to write in my journal! Those last events happened in a blink of an eye. Literally. But i know it wasnt a "real" lucid. First of all, i had very little control. Second, it was not as real as the real world. At least not after i realised i was dreaming. Third, I woke up almost instantly. Fourth, I didnt feel that excitement, exhilaration ur supposed to feel when u find out. Its like i didnt have the time and i was too pushed around to feel in control.

      So yeah any tips? Comments? Id like tips since im just a noob Is there a reason why i woke up like that? Maybe i just wasnt tired anymore and woke up like every morning. My dream ended at 7:30. Also take note that my brother and sister are awake at 7 and they get noisy when i sleep in. Maybe they woke me up? Or just distracted me enough to lose focus?

    10. July 29th, 2010: Three Short Lucid Dreams?

      I have trouble arranging dreams in the exact order they occurred. Also, sometimes I find it difficult to keep them from merging within my mind before I wake up to write them down. This sometimes results in a bit of confusion when I finally get to writing down my dreams in my journal. Last night, I had what now seem to be three separate lucid dreams within my first six hours of sleep. I have tried to arrange them in the manner that seems most right.

      The first dream I can remember involved a recent road trip I went on. I was traveling by myself through small towns in the west, and I was being followed by a hobo who wanted to take my money or something. This was a bit scary but not, like, a full on nightmare or anything.

      Somehow, this dream morphed and I was walking in a retail store. I think it was a Wal Mart or something. Anyway, the main aisle became a sort of highway and there were people lined up along the sides watching me. I felt strange and the whole scenario seemed off. At first I thought that they knew something about me and the cop was going to find out this secret. I didn't even know the secret! Eventually I figured it out: I was lucid and they were dream characters. This made me feel great but I didn't really know what to do so I just strolled around the store talking to my DCs and enjoying myself.

      There is a gap and I believe that last dream ended, sending me into a false awakening. I remember waking up in my bed. I instantly felt that something was off, so I did a reality check. I pressed my right pointer finger into my hand and it went right through. I had that EUREKA feeling again and got very excited. I jumped out of bed and looked for a way out of my house. I saw the window and burst through it, flying very hard in what would be a eastern direction. I ended up at a nearby elementary school, the one I attended as a child. I stood in the field and wondered what to do from there. So I guess I created a tower and started climbing it. Then I decided that it should be winter and it started snowing. This was awesome! I pretty much just jumped around on this tower, slid down it, made snow angels, etc. etc. I was having fun.

      Eventually, I think this dreamscape morphed into a more alien landscape. I remember sitting under the tower and enjoying the knowledge that I was lucid. Looking about, I was in a new place, a place not familiar to me. I entered a nearby bunker and saw my ex there. This was strange but I accepted her as real. I think that was part of the reason that I started losing dream clarity and lucidity. All of a sudden, the bunker (which reminded me of an old church) started being shot at by nails. Strange. So I promised her I would get the nail-shooter to stop. I went out into the cold and started running in the direction of the assailant. But I fell down a hill and my father was down at the bottom. He had a fire going too and my two boxer dogs Chester and Georgie were down there too. He made me watch after them, even though I told him that I was having a lucid dream and I needed to go. I ended up falling asleep there by the fire and lost lucidity.

      This was an exciting night of sleep but I think I have to watch out for dream characters because I tend to believe they are real and they tell me to do stupid things. Also, I never really know what to do when I become lucid, so usually I just fly around and get really excited. Haha. What should I do? If I focus on plans before I go to bed, will this influence my dreams?

      I don't know what the deal is, but the past two nights I can't remember anything but two false awakenings. I thought I woke up and scratched my nose once and the other time I thought Andrea had turned over in her sleep. weird.

    12. Wooded Area with Pixies and a False Awakening!

      Have to share my Lucid Dream this morning! I was lying on the couch after having been up a few hours and decided I want to try to go into a dream aware. I started getting sleepy and I knew that was about to start dreaming so I start saying to myself "Stay aware. Stay aware. Stay aware" and then I feel this startling vibration like I'm being shaken up and down really fast. This has happened before right before Lucid Dreaming, so I just breathe and I'm still aware that I'm lying on the couch, but I'm also falling down into the dream and then...I'm dreaming and I know it! During the entire dream, I was, for the first time, fully aware of my waking environment, what I was lying one, the house, etc.

      Here's what happened:

      Big library, I was flying around and seeing and talking to different people, it looked like a huge children's library and I did see different aged kids walking and flying around. I knew I was dreaming and tried to manipulate the environment, but had a lot of trouble. I could fly easily, but had trouble controlling direction, speed, etc. Then I wanted to change things and thought of woods and forest, but it kept turning into a baseball diamond, then a big pool and once I tried to fly but fell into the pool which really scared me because I thought of sharks (I'm weird!) then it did turn into a semi-secluded wooded area, saw a beautiful little girl in a flower-like dress (looking closer, the dress was made of these beautiful exotic flowers!) walk by, she looked at me, but looked away, she looked like a pixie, very beautiful blonde hair with amber streaks on the tips...then saw a square-shaped enclosed wooded kind of area (shrubbery made up the enclosure), with those kinds of dolls (like the pixie girl) set up in shrubbery like cabinets all around, I went around looking at all of them up close really close because they were so beautiful and delicate and I thought this place was important for some reason...then this little Eastern girl about 8 years old came up to me and said something, I can't remember what, and then I just hugged her and started crying because of who she was (who was she?) and what she said...and then I remember that I could smell her hair and it smelled dirty, like she hadn't washed it in a while. First time ever remembering smell in a dream! The smell of her hair bothered me, but I didn't say anything because I thought it's not really important...and then saw a room off to the side with a bed in it and a dresser with a mirror. I walked in and asked her whose room this was....she said something that I can't really remember then I saw the mirror and wanted to look at myself, but she kept trying to stop me for some reason. I tried and then she kind of playfully kept pulling me away and I kept leaning toward the mirror and I finally got a brief glimpse of myself in the mirror and I saw myself sticking my tongue out at myself (first time ever seeing myself in a mirror in a dream). Somehow I thought that looking at myself in a mirror in a dream was not a good thing to do, I turned around and this kid walks up to me and swings something in his hand and whacks me and BAM, I'm awake. But, it's a false awakening, but I didn't know it! I'm on my couch and suddenly Joey (my son) comes out of his room screaming at his sister (he doesn't have one!) who is lying beside me on the couch and they start fighting and Joey is about 5 years old and he's screaming and crying at her and trying to hit her, he was having a horrible temper tantrum, something he's never done. I become furious with him and slapped him really hard and then got up and grabbed him by his hair and then I slapped his face. Suddenly, it dawns on me that Joey is not a small child (he's a teenager) and doesn't even look like this child...and BAM...I wake up for real...and this was like 15 minutes ago. I had to type this out really fast before I forgot it.

      I went to bed last night stating my intention: I will have a lucid dream because I will recognize the dream state.

      It worked!

      I am taking a test about Star Wars, or something. I put my test in a book and put it aside while the teacher talks. Then, I take it back out, and the answers are filled in and it's graded with a B! I am distraught by this so I call the teacher over. She doesn't understand either. Later, I am outside a house on the opposite side of my block, talking with my girlfriend. She tells me about her 'neighbor,' a girl whom I went to high school with. Following that, I go to some weird dinner party where a bunch of my friends are sitting at long tables. I see my friend Jeremy, and he tells me that this is a dream. I am ecstatic! I jump up and thank him profusely for telling me that I am dreaming, for I am now lucid. I try to spin around, but I forget to close my eyes, so it doesn't work; I'm still in the banquet hall. I look up at the ceiling and try to float through it, but I notice my mother and float over to her. I start dancing with her, and she says something like "Don't you think this is a little inappropriate?" "No, mom, I'm dreaming!" I respond. I spin her around and kiss her cheek, telling her I love her and I'm so happy about this. I rub my hands together and the dream feels more intense. Then, I look up to the ceiling, and determined to fly through it, I wake up laughing. It's a false awakening, though I fail to realize it. I was impressed, though (with myself), because my first thought was at least to write the dream down. So, I woke up downstairs, which should have clued me in, but I turned off a bunch of lamps because they were too bright, which did not serve to alert me to my state. I grabbed a weird notebook which happened to be full of drawings of 3 guys doing goofy stuff, and I wrote like a damn 3-year-old (should have recognized that, too; I wrote the word 'dream' as 'dreem'). I then 'went back to sleep' and had another dream.
      I'm walking through some strange caverns that lead to my old high school. I see the Avatar and other strange floating characters; I observe that each of them has some weird spirit guide floating next to him/her, but Aang's is a copy of his own foot. Weird! I meet some people from work out in the lobby and we go sit down at some tables and eat vegetables. But then it feels as if I am driving and I'm at a dark intersection; I see 'French' to the left and 'British' to the right; I head left and run into some strange spy-sniffer person, but I'm not a spy and have nothing to fear.

      wake up, try to MILD WBTB, no success

      I'm in my neighbor's back yard, and they're setting up for dinner. I don't know why I'm there; these people hardly ever talk to me. It's even weirder when they all say hi. I start petting a dog that they don't have. I let him off the leash because he's whiney. The father wants me to put the leash back on, so I do. They invite me to sit at the table with them. There is a lot of random food, and I don't really remember eating anything. A belligerent grandpa figure comes to the table (he's not there IRL) and tells us about a movie he played the villain in recently. It looks like it's going to rain, so we go inside, and I help them put the food away; specifically, I clear some vegetable scraps from the counter, and then I put some pizza in a box to go in the fridge.
    14. Fragments that make no sense

      I think I was angry at myself for moving every time I woke up last night. I have cats and it's second nature to throw them off me (one likes to lay on my head) when I wake. I have to get more disciplined with this. *sigh*

      Anyway, for what I can remember, I was dressed in a nightgown more suited for winter than summer, pale pink and up to my neck like a granny nightgown. I was trying to sleep in the bathroom, my bed somehow fitting where the toilet should be and the wall. I do remember combing my hair with one of those simple black combs that hair stylists use - which is impossible to do in reality as my hair is naturally curly. My hair color was odd, bright electric blue streaks with white blond and my normal color. It was raining outside, and the rest is fuzzy but it had something to do with unplugging a lamp? Not sure.

      There was a noise downstairs and when I opened my apartment door, the downstairs was actually more than one door leading into the laundry room: it was an entire downstairs, wooden railings and flights of stairs. There was a door to the left of my apartment, one that's not there in RL. I open it and the room is a mess, with a bunch of men messing around with each other (yes, like that) I giggle and close it. Someone is standing on the stairs and asks what they were doing. I make innuendos and the DC nods in understanding.

      Then...I woke up, went back to sleep and remember a jungle, I'm climbing trees and am disgusted by all the bugs I keep touching as I'm climbing. I don't want to fall because there is a tribe of nasty natives on the ground. They have a giant crocodile. I do end up getting caught, but as I run, I go into this mall-type place and see the Doctor from a show called Doctor Who (LOL). I'm happy to see him because he can help me. However, the natives end up killing him and I wind up sitting next to my dad on a couch in what used to be my best friend's house. We are watching what I experienced on TV.

      So weird.
    15. First LD I remember

      Few years back, after a tedious work schedule extended upto the midnight and feeling much tired, I went with my friend to sleep in his house. He offered me a room with a single bed and window. Through the window I was seeing the street light and I told my friend "Hei, I cannot sleep with this light pointing to my eyes" and tried to sleep.

      I was sitting upset in my bed and called my friend. He came and inquired what happened. I complained him about the street light. He told me that he will finish it off and picking up a stone he broke the street light. Still, the broken bulbs and the entire street lights which were hanging down were lighting in the full bloom!!!! He climbed up the electric post and disconnected the circuit, once he came down, all the lights climbed up the post and begun to light!!!!
