    Lucid Dreams

    1. [18-04-2016]

      by , 04-18-2016 at 09:08 AM (Snehk's Dreamlands)
      First fragment

I was working on a map for Heroes of Might and Magic III, placing objects on adventure map and then testing it out.

      Second fragment

Some blurred nightmare moments caused by a creepy, strange noise I heard when I was in toilet, before going to my bed (certainly not a false awakening).

LD - shapeshifting + ToTM Advanced Task I

Cloudy morning in a city, it was raining. I was walking on a sidewalk with my younger sister, there was a construction site nearby. I stopped, turned round to her and said "It's a dream, you can unfurl your fins like a bird and fly away!" (common joke in my family is that my younger sister is a fish woman...) She flied up in the sky. I decided to fly into construction site, and then recalled ToTM Advanced task I - draining a colour out of an object. There was a fence with brown painted metal railings. I thought about draining the colour then touched it with my index finger, watching as the colour flows into it. From brown it turned into a pale railing. Looking at my finger I saw that it didn't changed it's colour. I wonder where it have gone, so I pointed at the ground far away from me and then to another point, and a brown line appeared, then vanished after a while.

After completing the ToTM task I recalled my current lucid goal - shapeshifting. I thought "I'll need a mirror." and one just popped up on top of a steel beam close to me. Using my shapeshifting technique (looking at the mirror, turning back thinking into what I'll change, looking back at the mirror) I managed to change only my clothes. Only once I changed into some kind of a soldier wearing a white robotic armor with a white helmet that had a black, rectangular visor. The visor was cut in the corners. I was holding an assault rifle in my hands. I made a nose plug RT, it was succesfull.

I realized that to have more control over changing I must have a mirror placed that I won't see it while turning back (I still could see that one with a corner of my eye). I thought "More mirrors." and two more popped up in different places - one on the bottom of a beam and another on it's side. I've chosen the one on the side and continued to change. First I turned into a policeman, then I decided to turn into a female (somehow it's a bit hard to stabilise dream when doing this, so I wanted to train it a bit). First I turned into an ugly police woman - I had somehow distorted face with elongated chin and small eyes. Then I changed into a better looking one. Turning back from the mirror, I was able to only make one step back from the mirror as everything turned black. I managed to hold on in the dream and appeared back on the sidewalk close to construction site.

      Spoiler for Sex time:

      I woke up.

      Second dream

With a bunch of other random DC's I was closed in Auschwitz, a Nazi German death camp. We were in a bit more favorable situation, as we were designated for medical courses instead of death chambers or really hard work. We were thinking how we could escape from there, having a plan to destroy their energy lines and go out. A nazi general appeared and to tell us about rules here and then went away. Suddenly forces of Allies started to drop bombs on the camp. I decided to run for it and jumped out of the camp through a bombed fence. Soldiers shot to me, I got hit a few times but I was still going on, jumping down the trenches and escaping. I found a rifle, so I could shoot to soldiers and run away.
    2. Mini person asked me to be free

      by , 04-18-2016 at 05:25 AM
      Ssild - Lucid

The dream started with me waking up with in my bed. I remembered to do a reality check when I woke up just in case it was a false Awakening. I did the reality check and indeed realize that I was dreaming. One of my friends where in my apartment and I told him that he was only a projection of my mind. I walked outside and it was pouring rain. It was actually raining so hard that I felt as if I was going to drown. Later on in the lucid dream there was a mini girl walking next to me about 6 inches tall. She asked me if she could be free and kind of implied that I throw her into the sky. I picked her up and threw her into the sky she began to fly.

    3. First dream in what feels like ages

      by , 04-18-2016 at 01:18 AM
I'm walking underneath a tree, its a willow tree I think. Theres a bench behind the tree and a Donnovan is staring at the ground. I remember feeling as if I'm being pulled from the dream. I try to anchor myself and succeed. Although I feel more like a ghost in the dream vs actually being there. Donnovan gets up and walks over to where I'm standing by the tree. He stops in front of me. He seems to be focusing on something, then he looks up and I can feel myself being pulled to him. Then I get this intense feeling, like whenever you try to breath but your heart is beating so fast that your body won't let you take a deep enough breath. Anyways, everything goes black and I sit there in the darkness.
    4. Garbage Pickers and Snowscape (DILD)

      by , 04-17-2016 at 10:54 PM
Ritual: I've had a bit of a dry spell lately, and even worse than the lack of lucid dreams has been the sensation of diminished overall awareness: my sleep lately has been distressingly ordinary. I'm still waking up frequently during the night, but now I can't even tell what time it is—usually I can guess accurately within ten minutes or so. When sleeping properly I always wake up a few minutes before my alarm, no matter what time I set it for, but lately the alarm has been waking me. I've been having an ordinary number of dreams, but they too are lacking even in rudimentary awareness. In the past, stressful periods at work have boosted my LDing, but I feel like maybe I'm getting a bit burnt out, so I've started using sleep as a form of escapism, instead of an opportunity for more interesting kinds of work. I've become a lazy sleeper!

Probably because of this lack of awareness, this time even when I started wondering if I was really dreaming, I continued to find the environment and events extremely persuasive and followed the plotline to its end. Only then did I take the time to deliberately RC. The only aspect of this that isn't disappointing is the fact that, once having noted I might be dreaming, I did manage to hold that thought and then come back to it, instead of just forgetting. I also felt as though my rational mind was functioning well in the way it recognized the dream sign, something that hasn't always been reliable.

The dream plot was based on waking life residue. Last night (in WL) around 1:30am we heard the sound of someone going through our trash bins outside the house, even though the bins are through a gate which, although it has no lock, clearly demonstrates a property boundary. Unfortunately there is no window through which to observe that area, and by the time I went out with a flashlight the person was gone.

The same thing happened in the dream, except that the person had left behind bags of newspapers, and I was worried they might contain criminal evidence. I wasn't sure if I should call the police, as I had already moved some of the bags, so my prints were now on them too. There were many more minor details and events that would only be tedious to record here, so I'll skip them.

Later the garbage-pickers come back, and I realize I can see them if I get the right angle through a window (not true in RL). I want to take pictures for evidence, but I have trouble pulling up the camera on my phone, normally a very simple operation. Even when I do get the camera working, it is too zoomed in and I can't frame the shot properly. I recognize these technical difficulties as dream signs, but at the moment I'm too caught up in events to RC.

The garbage-pickers leave before I can get a good shot, so I go around the front of the house for another try. The camera is still giving me trouble, and once again I notice how much it resembles a dream sign, even though this doesn't feel like a dream. After a few more minor incidents that plotline wraps up, and I now realize that I can give my full attention to checking whether or not I am dreaming. Everything has felt very real and convincing, but I know well how little that sensation can be trusted.

I jump... inconclusive. I came down quickly enough, but the jumping itself felt easier than I think it should, as though I am not lifting my full body weight. I jump a couple more times, trying to draw out the moment at the apex. It might actually be lengthening as I focus on it. My suspicion grows, I jump a bit more, and then sure enough, I find that I can pause at the top, hovering in the air. That clinches it. It was a dream all along.

What now? It's been so long since I've been lucid that I just want to explore and enjoy the environment. I look out the glass wall of the living room and see an expanse of snowy fields and pine forest stretching to a distant low mountain, utterly unlike the RL scenery. I feel satisfied with this prospect, so I fly through the glass without hesitation and start soaring over the landscape, looking down and enjoying the clarity of visual detail. I'm reminded of a recent conversation with a WL friend who also turned out to be an LDer, who mentioned that he prefers not to do tasks but would rather just fly around and enjoy the environment. Today that feels just fine.

I fly to the top of the mountain and land, hoping to explore on foot. There is a problem with scale, however: I am huge in relation to the mountain. My feet cover its entire upper surface. I take off into the air again, hoping I didn't crush too many trees and little creatures. The distorted scale now makes everything feel artificial, and the dream destabilizes. I exert will to remain in the dream state as it deconstructs, and for a moment I find myself flying through a black boundless space marked with thin white lines running horizontally and vertically in three dimensions. It strongly resembles the conception of virtual space in the movie Tron. I recognize that this is unconstructed dream space, and try not to let it disconcert me that the dream has faded, and I feel very close to being awake... I remind myself that if I should be able to enter a new scene if I can just be patient and maybe suggest something.

I'm trying to stay relaxed, so I imagine lying in a bath of warm water. This makes me realize that my flying feels like swimming so I use the idea. I am swimming underwater in a pool of water that is no different from my body temperature—that's why I don't feel it. And of course I can breathe underwater, because why not? These thoughts in mind, I now think I can see the glimmering underside of the water's surface just above my head, so I fly up and break it, preparing to find myself in a new scene. I notice how seamlessly my breathing remains the same as I transition from breathing water to air, and again this feels too artificial for my liking, but I try not to let it disrupt the dream.

I am in an empty tiled space containing a pool. The lining of the pool is made of identical square beige tiles as the walkway around it and the low walls bounding the space. It appears to be outdoor because the walls don't go up all the way, but there is no impression of any surrounding environment, much less sky or weather. It is still very vague and plain and artificial; perhaps it could be described as "semi-constructed dream space." I look around for something notable, perhaps a DC, and I begin to hear music. It is a simple melody on a plucked string instrument, like a medieval lute. I don't see anyone else, but vision isn't perfect now, so I keep listening and looking. The song ends, and a woman's voice says, "Thanks, I really enjoyed this one song." There is a kind of parenthetical remark appended to the sentence in the same voice that I perceive simultaneously, though I don't seem to "hear" it as literally as the words just spoken. The parenthetical remark is: "...after a moment's reflection." In ordinary text one could write it as:

"Thanks, I really enjoyed this one song (after a moment's reflection)."

But that wouldn't quite convey the effect that the parenthetical part was not spoken aloud, and that it had a kind of simultaneity with the statement itself.

Feeling confident that I will momentary see the singer, I keep looking around... and feel paws on my face, my real face. The cat has chosen just this moment to come back to bed, waking me. Damn!
    5. A Very Embarrassing False Awakening Which Ended in a Failed TOTM

      by , 04-17-2016 at 06:25 PM
Note to self: This lucid dream was actually on Tuesday April 12th

Alrighty, I've decided that from this point forwards, I will dream journal my lucid's here on Dreamviews. I want to be more active, but writing all my dreams here wouldn't realistically happen. I'm writing this more to myself then you (whoever you are), because once it's on the internet I will feel accountable.

I have a false awakening in which I walk downstairs and sit down in the chair in my living room. I promptly feel as though I've pooped myself. This is disgusting, and at the time it felt as though it was real. I panic and run to the bathroom and try to clean my underwear. I finally get them somewhat clean and start to put them back on to discover that my shirt and pants, which in the dream were on my body, had fallen off and into the toilet bowl. I grab my old and ratty beach towel - which I realize shouldn't be in the downstairs bathroom - and wrap myself up in it. I scoop up my clothes and run upstairs. I'm still not lucid, and I'm worried someone will see me running, wrapped up in a beach towel carrying sopping wet toilet clothes. No one does. I go into my bedroom and notice everything is both open and empty; my water bottle, my paint tubes, the drawers and the dresser. Every item that can hold contents is both open and empty. I think in the dream that I've been robbed. I'm exasperated at this point. How could my morning go so terribly wrong? I'm so close to lucidity at this point, when I notice one item is not empty. It's a DS game box on my desk, which is odd in itself, holding two Pokemon games. I don't own two Pokemon games in real life, and I'm finally jolted lucid. I'm also miraculously clothed again, but that doesn't register until I wake up. I plug my nose and stand there, breathing through it and staring at my dresser. I eventually realize that being able to breathe through my plugged nose means I must be dreaming. I'm still not fully lucid. To double check and confirm I am dreaming, I try the thumb-through-hand reality check. I've nose-plug reality checked dozens of times, but the thumb one I've always avoided. It's never worked for me before the few times I've tried, and kind of grosses me out. In the moment, however, I felt like I needed more confirmation I was dreaming. I closed my eyes, held my breath and pushed my right thumb through remarkably realistic skin, flesh and between my hand bones. I yanked it out, and felt the urge to check my hands to see whether or not I'd wounded myself. There was no hole or wound in my palm, but both hands looked slightly bloody.
Finally aware of my dreaming state, I try to remember the Task of the Month. This month was the first time I'd really decided to attempt them. All I could recall of the "eat an object that isn't edible" task was "eat", so I walked down to the kitchen, a surprising logical thing to do considering the illogical things I'd done so far. I found that there were huge signs hanging from the ceiling advertising sales as though my kitchen was a grocery store, which I focused on to keep my lucid. My family starts pestering me, speaking mostly gibberish and nonsensical things like "What are you doing filling the swimming pool up there?" and speaking it all with a tone that implied an insult. I open the fridge and grab a block of cheese, but wake up before I can eat it. I'm pretty disappointed I didn't become lucid sooner, given all the ridiculous things that happened, and that I couldn't remember the task in it's entirety. On the bright side, it was a wonderfully vivid dream and I was much better at focusing on my surroundings to stay lucid and stable.

    6. Straight Up

      by , 04-17-2016 at 04:55 PM
      7-8.30am
      Short LD #395
The first part of the dream I can recall starts in a car, but then the road takes a right and turns into a set of steps. The car vanishes. Punisher (Jon Bernthal) is standing at the bottom. He looks like he has been awake all night, exhausted, beaten up.

Punisher starts telling us about digging holes, and searching for something. I follow his lead.

At some point we end up in the road and I'm now on a motorbike. This makes me lucid because the acceleration is wrong; opening the throttle seems to do nothing. I try to get past a massive lorry and something clips my leg but I ignore it.

Now that the bike is properly under my control the speed is much improved. I try to go as fast as possible. The road also switches from driving on the right to driving on the left, as that's more familiar to me being British.

In order to get some points I need to find some way to do a stunt, but there are no ramps or anything to use as one. The hill is steep and filled with cars to dodge. At the top of the hill there is a tall building and I lift the motorbike into a wheelie while approaching the wall. It starts to travel vertically up. The dream fades before I reach the top.

    7. Log 352 - Void Confrontation and Other Assorted Stories

      by , 04-16-2016 at 08:17 PM (Dream Logs DWN-12)
      Created Saturday 16 April 2016

All these dreams took place after a WILD attempt, one being a DILD, three DIELDs, and one non-lucid dream in between. There was one dream before I first awakened, but my laziness caused me to only remember a fragment.

    8. DILD, MILD, DS - Royal Gold Submarine

      by , 04-16-2016 at 06:43 PM
I was running & was guided into something. At first I thought it was a RV but then realized it resembled instead a gold submarine on wheels. My family was outside trying to find out what was going on & I was on the inside w/ my prince & his parents, the king & queen & others that were trying to help us keep others out. I was told that because I was his new princess there was some kind of power grab that others were trying to make by capturing me & that they would be in charge somehow if this happened. I looked down & realized my ring was gone & I started to panic & started looking around for it. I accidentally opened a door a fraction of an inch & for a moment the outsiders were able to see inside so the king & queen acted as though they were having sex as a diversion. While I was looking around for the ring & this weird sex act was taking place, I became Lucid. (I'll explain things later what triggered this). So now that I was lucid I knew I could not attempt a WBTB or a WILD today so I took advantage of just having fun w/ my dream. I started changing things as they all became more & more vivid. There were luxurious pillows everywhere. I was expanding the confined place to make it bigger & safer. I also kept looking for my ring which was found among some nuts & bolts. My prince was my husband & the king & queen were plump & w/ royal frumpy garbs. This was fun. I was looking at all the rivets made of gold & small windows to peek out of. I was really happy w/ my creativity. I was able to hear my family outside more clearly & they wanted frantically to know what was happening & where I was, which was not helping me hide. The floors were made of that bumpy metal associated w/ tools but I don't know what that is called. The whole thing had a futuristic feel to it.... Unfortunately my husband was rousing awake next to me & I knew I had to wake up because, although lucid dreaming is really fun I also knew very clearly that my real life must come first & this cannot interfere w/ that. This is a line I do not want to cross. Therefore I knew my time was up & I opened my eyes & I was fully awake but because my dream was lucid I could remember it very clearly.

Now to explain. Before I went to sleep I was practicing my MILD mantra's of "Tonight I'm going to lucid dream & I'm going to remember them" & "I will use my wedding ring as my dream sign" because it is not only significant to me it because it has a flaw. It really does come apart. The weld came loose a while back & 1 of the 3 sections is not connected right now. Therefore, I only usually wear it when I leave the house except when I swim, so that I don't lose it at the pool. It's unique & it was custom made. A one of a kind, w/ a one a kind flaw right now. It's been this way for about 4 yrs or so but I kind of like it like that. I know that sounds weird..... Then there was the King & Queen suddenly having sex which simultaneously reminded me of the fact that I couldn't keep sleeping for long... I had a hysterectomy in December & have a set time to try & have intercourse to strengthen the area where my cervix was taken out of.... So all in all I had a successful DILD & MILD w/ my dream sign being my wedding ring.

    9. Brief Lucidity With a Touch of Absurdism

      by , 04-16-2016 at 05:51 PM
Hey everyone! Got a new entry and this time I was actually lucid for a bit, but only at the very end. This entry is the lead up to the lucidity and what happened during it.

      ----------------

The very first thing I remember was climbing to the very top of an extremely tall tower, it was well above the clouds. The only way to get up was by a winding staircase wrapped around the outside of it. As I reached the top I looked down and took in the sight. I remember noting that the tower was a bit strange, and I realised that it was all entirely made of cubes, like blocks. The best equivalent would be to compare it to the 8-bit style of Minecraft. At the top of the tower, I looked around and realised that some of the steps that I had climbed up were blocks made entirely of glass, so that one could see completely through them.

There was only one room, which was at the very top and was surprisingly dull. Inside was entirely gray, aside from again, some glass blocks in amongst the wall. It was night time at this point. I was very aware that I was there for a reason, and I was under the impression I was there to solve some form of puzzle. The situation reminded me of those kinds of games where the entire game is based around progressing to the next level by solving clues or riddles. At any rate, I became very swiftly frustrated with the whole thing and I left soon afterwards, and here is where the dream jumps.

In the next scene, I was attempting to get to a location that was unknown to me, and to do so I had to walk through a winding path. As I started walking along, these strange white robots popped up that were on tracks set to only go certain ways. I realised as I got closer to them that I was not supposed to be near them, as my vision went almost entirely red, in the same sense that it does when you are taking damage in a lot of video games. I began the work of manoeuvring through the path, avoiding he robots by ducking behind objects or by taking advantage of their pathing.

At the end of the robot path, I was surprised with what I found next, and it was at this point that I began to feel a little bit suspicious of the dream. I had just gone through an action sequence and what I found at the end of it was..... The outdoor food court of a random mall. Sitting at a table was a friend of mine who apparently just happened to be there. She immediately waved me over so I sat down to eat. There was food suddenly in front of me which confused me, and I asked her what way the bathrooms were. She pointed, I turned around and noticed the male bathroom. As I was looking, the male bathroom disappeared completely, and was quickly replaced with the female bathroom. I commented on the oddity to which the dream friend replied:

"Yeah things can get a bit weird in dreams sometimes, hey?"

At this point I understood I was in a dream and I felt it start to slip. I tried to hold onto it but I suddenly found myself in bed and awake. I am unsure of whether I did a reality check to make sure it wasn't a false awakening, but I am chalking that down to something to work on. Make sure I check for FAs!
    10. Spell's Comp Day 6: Car Destruction, and OneUp visits, I think...

by , 04-16-2016 at 05:10 PM (Lucid Time!)
A Dream Character attempted to convince me that the moon landings were not faked because Kerbal Space Program exists.

I then dreamed that I was a space probe in orbit around the moon and I was wondering if I could leave or if anyone would come back for me. There was something to do with seeing something left over from the Apollo missions on the surface, I think that was my mission, to photograph them. This actually went on for quite a long time. I think at least three orbits around the moon. With each orbit I adjusted to get a little closer to the moon.

It wasn't a boring dream, but it was just one that moved slow and was quiet. I felt sort of sad that I was the soul of a space probe and I was probably never going to get back home, but to some extent I didn't care because I figured I could appreciate the beauty of space.

      ...

Someone had re-arranged furniture in my room. There was all of these new shelves and my desk was missing. It was a false awakening situation.

      ...

I was on vacation with my family somewhere. I remember some white SUV took our space.
I became lucid somehow and decided to destroy the thing. I remember the scene changed to my backyard only the whole backyard was paved over like a parking lot. I decided that this would be a stress releaser, a sort of meditation in destruction of a dream. This perfect new white car vs me. It was a dream after all, and I could destroy this with no repercussions.

I remember I kicked in the side. It dented the side door and the car slid away sideways making a tire squealing sound. I ran back to it, and toor the side view mirror off, and smashed it through the windshield. I then went and tore the front hood off, rolled it up into a spike and used the rolled up front hood to stab the cars' internals.

I think the destruction went on for quite awhile, but I don't recall exactly how I went about it after those parts. Just that when I was finished, all that was left was four wheels sitting there comedically and car parts scattered around the backyard. Then some DCs came. My mom said that she was teaching an auto shop class and that she and her students wanted premission to fix the car for their exam.

I started helping them gather up the parts and organize them when I lost the dream.

      -WBTB-

I was with these other people. We were making a movie that we were going to put on Youtube about lucid dreaming. There was this other guy there, another lucid dreamer. I remember he had dirty blonde hair that was really long and straight as well as facial hair. He was a little bit taller than me and not wearing any shirt.

I remember we walked into the road and we were talking about something. Then a car came speeding down the road and I jumped and grabbed a tree branch that was hanging above the road. I looked down and saw that I was two or three stories up. The guy asked how I got up there. I said that I didn't know and I came back down.

I got curious and the next time a car came down the road, I kicked it. It flew off onto the sky and had a little ding like when Team Rocket blasts off. What do these dreams have against cars?

He then said something about lucid dreaming. This prompted both of us to do RCs.
I did a nose pinch and became lucid. I think the other guy became OneUp, but he still had long hair. He had the shirt with the transformers logo from his avatar. That's what made me think it was him. I think he shouted 'Awesome!, a Lucid!' and proceeded to snap his fingers. There was a poof of white smoke, like a magic trick, and a motorcycle appeared. He then snapped his finger a second time and made a girl appear, who was wearing a leather jacket and had long brown hair. He got onto the motorcycle and the girl got on and held onto him and they rode off.

I wasn't super terribly lucid because I stayed up late last night, so as usual, I defaulted to 'Let's Fly'. I knelt down in the middle of the road. I swear the 'Man of Steel' flying music started playing. I remember (since the dream was supposed to be a movie) it had a cinematic vibe to it. I would sometimes get third person views. I got one and saw that there were two circles of wind around me (still knelt down in the road). The inside one rotating clockwise, the outside rotating counter-clockwise, that picked up leaves and gravel from the road.

I then shot off into the sky. I was flying quite fast, and the inertia picked up quickly. I've done high speed flying on my fire jets before. Like they have in the past, they spooled up and sounded like the scream of a jet turbine. I remember I curved up and started flying so fast there was a shock-heating cone around my body. I flew through a huge thunderhead cloud and the wake of my flight was enough to blow apart the entire storm in a giant sideways tornado.

I lost the dream around here. I think I continued to visualize flying off into space at light speed but nothing happened.

Massive Boulder Island With Wild Animal Inhabitants
( Rock, Boulder, Water, Flying, Pterodactyl, Climbing, Alligator, Chimpanzees, Brother)
I dreamt of this massive boulder rock surrounded by water. I was there with my brother. We tricked these blue flying creatures into flying into each other. They had a routine of all flying at once off the edge and we had another group flying up the other side at the same time. They all attacked each other and died. We had hoped at least one would survive but no one did. Ben wondered how we were going to get down because it was so high up and the water was to shallow. I found a spot to climb down and drop 6 feet or so into the shallow water. Ben was swimming and from above I could see a reptilian looking creature swimming near him. He said it was an alligator gar. I yelled for him to get out of the water. But he swam the other way where there was no spot to climb up. I jumped in and it bit on to me. I started to wrestle it. ~REALITY CHECK (abrupt scene change)~
The scene skipped to inside a cave within the rock and I was strangling the creature except now it looked like an anaconda and there was commentary saying something about the tables being turned. Inside the rock were these feline creatures that looked like they were either dead or sleeping. It almost looked like a display from a museum. I saw one of their arms twitch and I got a little nervous because I felt no match for catlike reflexes. I went outside and there were these chimpanzees wearing sweaters. One was green with the #12 on it. Outside I was balancing on this hanging vine outside on my feet and I jumped to another one. The chimps were amazed and wanted to see me do it again. I thought it was weird that I would be teaching the chimps there own techniques.

Deep Breathing Induced Flight High Above the Earth
(Parents House, Night, Raining, Naked, Flying, Falling)
      <<LUCIDITY ACHIEVED >>>

I was in my old house. It was raining and dark out and I was naked. Some how I had an inkling that I was dreaming. I think it was because I had this floating feeling and I didn't remember getting there. I went outside through the front glass door into the rain and tried to fly. I began to float upwards but I leveled out a bit. I realized I wasn't breathing enough so I took a deep breath and raised higher into the air. It seemed that the deeper I inhaled, the higher up I went. I kept rising higher and higher until I was in the upper atmosphere. I remember vividly, looking down toward the Earth, weightlessly floating, admiring how vast of a distance there was between me and the massive planet below. Later I decided that I wanted to see what it would feel like to fall all the way down so I stopped trying to hover and began to plummet toward the Earth. The texture of the Earth became continuously clearer and cleared as I came closer and closer to the ground. But lucidity faded before I hit the ground.

      Competition night #6

Annoyingly I awoke in the early hours, remembered a full dream and was convinced I would remember it in the morning.... all gone now. Only remembered 1 full dream.

      1) I was sitting in a canteen (again, why do I always dream about canteens??) with lots of teams of people one at each table. Some were identified by particular colours on their backs. Then I was serving with my wife. At one table we were serving a man and his young daughter, for some reason I asked if I should treat them as a 'couple'. Then I was at a table with lots of other people, I think it was breakfast. Everyone else had been served a rather odd looking starter. The person at the head of the table announced that if I wanted a shave I had an appointment at 8.45am and I had to rush off to it as it was almost time so left the table. Then I was at the entrance to an airport. I was pushing a shopping trolley full of food, and I had to go in to get a new passport, and I thought that I would be able to leave the trolley to one side whilst I got the passport. I pushed it up to the first barrier and was asked for my current passport which I didn't have. I knew that I wouldn't be able to get a new passport now and had to turn around. As I left the airport the trolley tripped over the curb and fell over, lots of electronic good fell out and I started to pick them up.

I woke early and was unable to get back to sleep, so had a WBTB.

      2) I can only remember the end of the dream I was meeting a man in a long street in a seaside village. Suddenly I became lucid and immediately, without thinking of anything else like stabilsation shot off upwards trying to fly, I got to the top of the buildings and immediately woke up. Not a very satisfying experience, lasting all of about 1 second.

    13. Stone Throne in the Clouds

      by , 04-16-2016 at 01:18 AM (Oneirin's Dreamworld)
Third of three LDs of the night. I am on a tram on a sunny day when I look toward the window, place my hand against the glass and say "Bam, I'm lucid". (Something just seem to 'click' at this point, as though a critical level of awareness was simply reached). I turn around and decide to meet my dream guide. I am beginning to head through a wall to pursue the goal in another scene when I suddenly realize I actually intended to meet my 'Spirit Teacher' in the dream state. At this point, I dive through a stack of magazine piled up against the wall of the tram. This stack is situated next to a side room which is partitioned by curtains. I attempt to change the dream scene by diving through this stack. It is successfully (The most successful attempt I've had at changing scenes as I arrive in a new location with the intended goal, with lucidity). I find myself among the clouds on a a massive circular stone slab. The stone is engraved with jade carvings - intricate designs weave their way throughout the entire surface which is roughly 75m or so in diameter. I notice epic music playing once on this massive stone in the sky. I notice a female figure sitting cross-legged upon a throne on the far end of the stone. She appears to be elven. I get the impression that this was a manifestation of the spirit teacher I was seeking in the dream. I approach to speak with her, but the dream begins to fade, and I wake.

      Contributing Factors
Techniques - All Day Awareness, Meditation, Mantra/Intention before bed, Daytime Suggestion,
Herbs - Matcha, Reishi, Lion's Mane,
Diet - Olive Oil, Dark Chocolate, Cranberry Beans, Coconut Cream

    14. Yellow Grove Flight

      by , 04-16-2016 at 01:09 AM (Oneirin's Dreamworld)
Second of Three LDs for the night. I'm walking through a field with my brother talking about All Day Awarenss as a method to become lucid. At one point in the walk within the grove, I spontaneously turn to him, levitate up quite a few feet, smirk and say "Now I'm Lucid". We are neara a long row of brown wooden picnic tables which were lined up. I had peviously run across all of these as I was explaining ADA. I see him run a bit on the ground as I ascend and say "[B]...if that's who you really are...". Beautiful yellow-amber sunlight comes into the grove, providing a Spring/Surreal feel to the entire surrounding. Rather than continue to fly, I decide to resist the temptation and focus on recalling a goal. I descend to the ground and want to focus on speaking with a guide within the dream. The dream begins to get dim as I walk across the grove along a line of evergreen trees. I remain focused. I begin spinning to change scenes. At this point I feel as though I am in the dream and simultaneously feeling my eyelids. I am very careful with how I manipulate vision within the dream as I become very aware of my sleeping body.

    15. The Darkened House

      by , 04-16-2016 at 01:00 AM (Oneirin's Dreamworld)
First Lucid Dream of the night. I moved my head a bit upon awakinging and feel as though a great deal of the dream memory was difficult to retrieve due to this. I am lucid in my childhood house with no memory of a definitive starting point. I immediately think to begin on one of my LD goals, and meet a spiritual teacher within the dream. Before taking action, I head to the backyard of the house. I am by the sliding glass door in a very dark family room. I resolve to stay focused regardless of black-outs/voids which seem to be approaching. I continue to remember the exact nature of my goals in the dream, and run through my memory a bit more. I do not do anything to ground myself into the dream at this point as I am too focused on the purpose I wanted to accomplish. However, I am successful in sharpening my awarenss and moving through a period of dream blindness. At one point I head to the kitchen and see my mother out of the corner of my eye. I decide to head to the fridge, and open it. I decide to take a couple pieces of toast and put both pieces in my mouth at once and continue on with exporing. I noticed the strong sense of the class texture of toast on my tongue and on the roof of my mouth. It had hints of butter as well. I head back to the family room around this point and the dream nears a fading period once again. I regain awareness, and I believe at this point I arrive upstairs. I attempt to refocus the dream by changing the scene and continuing on with the goal. I head to the hallway and feel the presence of my brother in his room. I spin to keep stability and attempt to end up in another scene. This is all taking place in the middle of the hallway at this point. I decide that I'll head through the glass window opposite the entry hall as a new scene did not appear. I set my mind to encounter a new scene once I head through. I end up with a vision in the dream at this point as though only my awarenss is present. I am in a new location, with narration from a co-worker (I was talking to this person about dream a couple days prior). She explains that she has gotten good at changing dream scenes. There is a squiggly arrow leading up between a walkway. The walkway is situated between walls of two adjacent walls which appear to be enges of a lodge of some sort. She then explains she likes spending time with her family in this ocation. I wake up around this point. The entire dream felt to be roughly 12 minutes.
