    1. Conversations With My Dog

      Sarge was our family German Shepherd, always hungry, he had bitten every kid on the block at least once, (the Rodriquez brothers at least two times each).
      It was kind of like the neighborhood initiation, come play with us, Sarge gets a piece of you.
      He was acting rather unusual that day, walking slow, then circling around me, it was one of those classic San Gabriel valley summer days, hot and smoggy.
      I went to the backyard for some reason and stood there looking around, Sarge was there next to me.
      I began to wonder where everyone else is at, then I realized I dont live here anymore, and Sarge was put down over 30 years ago, I suddenly became very lucid.
      I also was aware of my dog sitting there next to me, as if he was waiting for me to LD, he looked at me...I said, "Hey boy! how have you been?" as I touched his head...

      Sarge answered, "Fine, they treat us good."
      Me: "I'm sorry that I wasnt there when they got rid of you", (I was away at
      school when he was put to sleep.)
      Sarge: "Thats okay, but I did miss you". His long tonque moved in and out as
      he panted.
      Me: "Why did you bite so many people back then?"
      Sarge: "I dont know, I just didnt like everyone."
      Me: "So where did you go after I left?"
      Sarge: "Somewhere."
      Me: "Are you alright where you are at?"
      Sarge: "Yes, I get to rest a lot."
      Me: "Are you hungry?"
      Sarge: "No, but thanks for always feeding me."
      Me: "I wish we could have gone to more places."
      Sarge: "Thats okay."

      (At this point I knew that this dream was going to end, so I hurried.)

      Me: "Where are you going?" He had started to walk away.
      Sarge: "I have to go home."
      Me: "Will you be okay now?"
      Sarge: "Yes...bye..."
      I didnt know what else to say to him as he walked away.

      The dream faded, I still reflect on that meeting with Sarge, I feel good that I got to see him again, and now I know that he's okay.

    2. No Traction!

      I stood next to my Top Fuel dragster, waiting to climb in and race again.
      The helmet felt heavy and warm around my head, and sometimes it wasnt really there at all.
      This is the drag strip at the Pomona Fairgrounds in California. I was at the head of a long line of racecars waiting to make a run on the quarter mile.
      It was hot and noisy, the announcer droned on about the activities at the track. People were everywhere.

      Someone indicated that I should get into my car, but I'm not a professional drag racer, I dont own one of these half million dollar missiles, but I'm supposed to be the driver.

      The realization hits me...I was in a dream, and I am now lucid. The little dream gauge in the back of my subconcious feels like this is going to be a long and intense LD. I decide what the hell...I'm going to drive this beast!

      The car is a tradional top fuel rail, it is blue with yellow bands running lengthwise. My dream car appears a little on the small side, but everything else looks authentic.
      I step in and squirm down into the cockpit, just like I had seen 100's of drivers do over the years. I had to put on my own safety straps, no one helped me. Most of the standard dragster controls were there, including the steering handle, hand brake, and parachute release.

      I was aware of activity behind me and the engine roared to life, and the 30 foot dragster started to roll. It was shaking and vibrating, and I can feel the heat of the 7000 horsepower engine behind me as I struggled to steer the car into my lane. A DC, my crew chief, gave me the sign to do a burn out, which I did smoothly, I stopped the car with the hand brake and looked for the reverse gear, there wasnt one, but the car started backing up automatically.

      I stopped the car again, and the crew chief guided me forward. At this point I had completely forgotten that I was in a LD, I was fighting to keep the dragster under control so hard.
      He stepped out of the way, and I stopped the car in the staging beams, That is when I looked over to my right through the roll cage to see my unidentified opponent doing the same. I can smell the burning nitromethane pouring from the headers.

      The grandstands are full of spectators, the sky is blue, the sun is beating down on us as we wait for the green lights to flash.
      They do, and I slam the throttle and release the brake, I feel the car rear up on its huge back tires, the pavement begins to slip past me at incredible speed.
      I'm doing all that I can to keep the car going in a straight line, I grip the steering hard and hold the front wheels straight.
      My opponent is next to me as our cars pass 200 mph, and I begin to fall behind, he shoots past me, my engine revs and shakes as I know that I've lost traction and spun the rear tires in a cloud of smoke.

      I still have to stop the car from 250 mph, I release the throttle, pull the parachutes, and pull the hand brake. I bounce and swerve as I look for the fuel shut off, of course there isnt one, I steer the car towards the exit as it slows...

      I can hear the announcer saying something about me as I awaken.

    3. Recurrent Villain in your dreams?

      The recurrent villain in my dreams is a T-Rex. It has been chasing me for as long as I have been dreaming. I run from house to house, hiding under cars, behind bushes, inside of strangers homes.
      I try to be as quiet as possible, it comes walking up the street, smashing cars, kicking his way through houses, people everywhere are screaming.
      I jump out and run as fast as I can, hide again, he always finds me.

      The most recent meeting with T-Rex, I was quietly lurking in a neighborhood, conditions dictated that he was nearby, but I didnt hear the usual roaring, crashes and screaming.
      It was then that I realized that the tree I was standing next was his left leg.
      I could see the scales up close. I slowly looked up at him, he was obviously scanning the area for me, he had no idea that I was standing next to him.
      He was about 30 feet tall.
      I slowly crept away, never taking my eyes off him. I put as much distance between us as I could before I awoke.

    4. This Old House

      A good LD for me today, I tried to WBTB but that fizzled, I fell back asleep anyways.

      It started out in a big office again, always lots of desks, people I dont know.
      Then and there I knew I was LD'ing!
      I looked at the walls and the details of the furnishings. I decided to leave and walked out through the glass front doors and stopped on the sidewalk, then I looked around at the LD world inside of my head.
      I knew I was LD'ing, and I wanted to feel everything this time, see how warm it is, feel the air around me, get as close to the sense that this is a normal world, that everything here is real.
      It was sunny, warm, I felt safe here.

      I looked around for the wall that I had written two DV members names on in a previous LD. but I somehow ended up near some older buildings, so I decided to RC by looking at my feet, I forgot to hand rub again.
      It was a very lucid dream anyways, but nothing was happening, so I decided to have some fun of my own.
      I leaned back and 'chair glided' above the road, my feet out in front, just like having an invisible car.
      I traveled along a dirt road, steering by looking in the direstion that I wanted to go in. I soon came upon an old farm house, I landed on my feet and walked in through the front door, pushing the old screen door out of the way. I looked around as I walked along the hallway, the wooden floor creaked under my feet, there was no one home. This house had a certain familiarity to it.

      I did another RC to check my 'dream meter', everything was very solid and I knew that this was a long LD.
      By this time I had lost my shirt and shoes, of course my LD body always has
      8-pack abs and all the rest.
      So now I am getting dissapointed that no one is home (DC's), (I should have explored the house more). I go out the back door, there is a small barn to my left. I walk on the cool ground towards the big doors, they are open, there is a brown horse standing there, I begin to brush him down.

      Now I've been here before, a ranch setting, in the country, this horse. Some DV members have suggested that he is my dream guide. There has been a DC girl that has been there several times recently. I will talk to her next time I see her.
      As for the stallion, I will try to remember to ask him next time I return. I work at brushing him down from nose to tail. He begins to talk about random things, my friends, how I feel about issues in my family. We are having a casual conversation.

      I am leaning on his side as I begin to wake up, I wanted to see If I could get a ride.

    5. I Timed my LD

      I was in an office that I have been to several times (LD'ing).
      Every step was taken, hello's to DC's, riding in an elevator. In the back of my LD mind, I was wondering how much time was passing by.

      I arrived at my office, took off my jacket and hung it up. I went into my private and nicely appointed bathroom. There I used the toilet, washed my hands and face, took time to examine myself in the mirror. My PA, an Asian girl, brought me a cup of coffee, we sat down at my desk.

      To my left was a small clock on a shelf, I informed the DC that I wanted to time this LD. She quietly agreed and continued opening my mail. I took the clock and set it on the desk in front of me. The time was 7:05, we began to read the mail, tossing the junk and saving the important letters.

      I would periodically look at the clock, the time was passing normally, only a few minutes between checks. There was no need to do any RC's or spin, as I knew that this was a good and long LD. We drank coffee, talked about the days business, she hardly looked up at at me as we worked. The idea of sex or anything else wasnt important, I just wanted to see how long I would remain here.

      My DC secretary got up and brought back a schedule, then started arranging meetings, asking me if I was available on such days etc...
      She was dressed in a white blouse, black short skirt, and black hi-heels. She wore some red coral jewelry, a necklace and wrist bangel. Her black hair was past shoulder length. It seems that I had a lot of time to study these details of her and my surroundings.

      The time was now 7:30, we had been here for over 30 minutes. The last time that I checked, it was 7:35. I knew that this LD was fading, I told her bye, she smiled and I woke up.

    6. My Date with Jennifer Connely part 1

      I walked along the wooden floor of the base café, the click of my heels echoed through the empty room. There were no patrons, only empty tables and no one sitting at the bar.
      Everything had a sepia tinge to it, like in an old movie. By the look and feel of the scene, it was obviously during WW-II, and I was in uniform, a person of somewhat high ranking, it was possibly an Army uniform.
      The air was warm and dusty, The Glen Miller Orchestra played ‘String of Pearls’ from the jukebox. The lone bartender paid me no attention as I passed by, he was wiping the bar.
      I saw her sitting there at a small table to my left, she smiled as I approached. I said hi as she rose to her feet. She smiled and extended her hand. I took it and gave a gentle shake. I asked her if she had been waiting long, she said no as she smiled again.
      I sat across from her, the small round table only had 2 chairs, so we were close to each other. A waiter came over and set a plate of sandwiches and 2 glasses of beer down.
      “I already ordered for us.” She smiled again as she lifted the glass to her lips. I raised my glass and sipped the ice cold beer. She wasn’t shy at all about eating, she picked up one of the sandwiches and bit into it, I watched her closely as she chewed carefully.

      I had realized that I was LD’ing when I first entered the café. Everything was real down to the last detail. Rather than go off on my own direction, I had decided to see how this LD would play out.

      “What are you looking at?” she said as I continued to watch her every move. I could hardly believe that I was sitting at a table, in an Army base café, in a uniform, having lunch with Jennifer Connely.
      “I just wish that we could stay here forever, I’ve wanted to meet you for so long, you know that I’m only dreaming, and I will eventually have to leave.” I took a bite of the sandwich, a Club Sandwich I believe.
      She set her glass down, “Its okay, I just want to make the most of the time that we have together.”

      I was amazed at the continual clarity and realism of this LD. I was getting absolutely no indication that I would be waking up soon, everything was 100% real. I didn’t need to RC at all. Every move that I made was like RC’ing continually.

      She appeared as she did in The Rocketeer, likely due to the WW-II setting of that movie. Her attire and manner reflected her character in that film. She wore a white 2-piece outfit, trimmed with black, padded shoulders, the skirt was narrow at the bottom just like in those days. She wore matching white pumps.
      The juke box played another familiar dance tune, I asked her if she wanted to dance as I stood.
      “Certainly I will.” was her response as she rose and walked towards me. I took her hand and led her a few steps away from our table. I put my left arm around her waist and pulled her in close. She was a few inches shorter than me. Our right hands were joined as we moved slowly to the music.
      I held her as we moved back and forth, the horns from the Glen Miller record in perfect harmony. I looked out the windows at the airfield, a few scattered planes, several cars and jeeps basked in the sun.
      “You know Jennifer, I really like that movie you did with Don Johnson, The Hot Spot.” She smiled and giggled a little, she held me tighter as we moved together.
      “Oh that one…yeah, it was a fun project, it was a warm time of the year, but I guess that’s what they wanted.”
      She was slightly embarrassed I think because in that movie she did her only nude scene. It was tastefully done with no overboard shots. I was sure that’s was why she smiled and rested her chin on my shoulder.

      I kept waiting for this dream to end abruptly, but I was still firmly in this LD with no signs of fading away. We continued to dance.

      I could feel and smell her long dark hair across my arms as I held her. She lifted her head and looked at me, her face only inches from mine.
      ‘You are a really nice guy, I’m glad that we have this time, I get so busy some times.” She looked into my eyes as I kissed her gently, our lips touching slightly. We embraced and kissed as we danced. Everything about her and I was real. There was no foggy areas or shaky recollections. Our lips pressed together, our tongues teased and explored.
      After a few minutes of our slow dancing and kissing, the music stopped and I led her back to our table. I sat, took a drink, and then I knew that this LD was approaching its end. I knew that no amount of RC’s or hand rubbing would keep me here, as bad as I wanted to.
      “You know that I have to go now, I’ve had the most wonderful time with you, I wish we could do this again and for a longer time.”
      She smiled, “That’s okay Larry, I knew that you would be leaving, but I will be here when you return, I had such a good time with you. But you have to go now, I’ll see you soon, okay?”

    7. Fonus

      A short time has passed as I am walking down a dimly lit hallway lined with lockers on either side. I am looking for locker number 6. It feels like a high school, but not one I've ever been to. The lockers are a pink-ish orange. As I read the numbers on the tops of them, I notice that they repeat between 11 & 12. 11... 12... 12... 11... 12... with no hopes of them ever counting down to 6. I would be walking this hallway forever...

      ... ah, but of course...

      Chuckling to myself I began to force the numbers to change... 10... 8... The lights became a tad brighter and the lockers spread out into a more spacious kind of foyer. I find locker 6. The lockers are doubled on top of eachother (like we have where I work) and number 6 is one of the top ones. I approach and open the locker. These ones are placed impractically high and I am forced to stand on my tip-toes in order to see what's inside.
      I spy an item placed way at the back, 'I'll never be able to reach that!' and I stand back down.
      Again, I try to peak inside... but now there's 2 items, '?'.
      I stand down again, to think for a second. I smile to myself and jump, like a child, to peak, 'Aha! 4 items!'.
      JUMP, '6 items!'.
      JUMP, '8!'. Laughing (and totally entertained with myself) I turned away from the locker due to the fact that I heard someone coming down the hallway. I ran and hid in a dark corner where, what turned out to be 3 girls, couldn't see me. As soon as they spied the open locker they looked at eachother... and I booked it down the hallway.

      I came to a classroom on my left. Inside were two of my bosses from work. One manager ("K") and one supervisor ("S"). S was sitting in a chair and K behind the teacher's desk. K gets up and says hi. S says hello from her chair.
      "This is a dream, you know". Just like that! I told them.
      "Really?" says S "How do you know that?"
      "You can find out many ways... just look at the clock... that's a good one. Right when you think you may be able to make sense of it, it changes. Sometimes it moves backwards. Digital clocks may look like shapes and letters, if it's not too fuzzy to read, of course."
      S just looks at me like she's not quite sure. I notice that I'm getting the same reaction from K.
      "Or just try something mechanical... like a light switch. It won't work, you'll see".
      I pause and turn to K (even in waking life I've never been able to talk to the other one ), "I love to fly when I dream... I bet you could do it right now".
      "How?" asks K.
      "How can't you? Just fly..." it seemed to make perfect sense to me, until I saw her try... "You can do it. Just keep practicing. You'll get better, I promise!" wanting out of here, now, I turn towards the door. S starts spinning, in the chair she never left, with a huge smile on her face. I feel the dream slipping...

      Struggling to hang on, I don't know why I did it but, I grabbed a pencil and paper and started sketching the current scene (which ended up looking like some kind of goofy preschool cartoon)...

      ... it all rushed back...

      I made my way out the door and took a left, to continue back down the hallway. I noticed a coat check kind of area approaching on my left and the school door exit just past it. As I neared the coat check, a girl (that I work with) is handing people (students) their jackets and says, "Jessica, I need your help! I have too many people!" I looked at her line up as they all stared back at me. About 30 of them... indeed, she needed help...

      ... but not from me! "I'm off work and I'm not getting paid right now, sorry". I saw S making her way down the hall towards us and said, "Oh good! You can help her". Hahaha... remember... this is normally my boss in waking . The coat check girl smiles and tells me to go... and did I ever...

      I continued towards the exit, where the sun was streaming in through the school doors. I started running, so happy, so excited to be lucid again! Full throttle I bolt towards the doors. In passing I hear some dude say, "whoa!" as if I startled him. I through the heavy metal doors open with a bang of the metal push bars and ran into the snow! I wasn't wearing much. A very lightweight, white gown that came just above my knees... but I [I]was[I] barefoot. I remember the cold snow crunching under my feet, the cool breeze against my skin and through my hair.... and then I flew up... up in the air... high above the school and smiled down at everyone below. People saw me, but it didn't matter anymore. The playfulness in me made me want to swoop down at one guy on his bike... and I laughed as I did it.

      I decided to go as high as I could! When I got there... I hovered... i felt my head tingle.... I don't think I've ever felt that before... I could swear my waking body acknowleged it. As if the invigorating feelings I was getting from this were assuring me that this is exactly what it would really feel like to be this high in the air... AMAZING...

      I felt myself starting to descend and decide to allow it to happen. I even poised myself to land properly (sometimes I don't and I'll tumble or do something rather awkward ). I started to drift away from the school and towards some high tree tops... birch trees, I think. I felt as though I was going to get tangled in one, on the way down, so I closed my eyes as to kind temporarily erase the tree. When I landed safely on the ground, I opened my eyes to see an old... I mean OOOOLD... cabin/house in front of me. It was definately abandoned. I was standing on a gravel road behind the cabin. It basically became part of the driveway to the right of the small home. I started to walk towards the cabin when I heard a voice, "My brother turned off the radio". As I approached the right of the cabin, I noticed that it had a full length porch on the front. Still at the side of the cabin, I noticed a small, blue, transistor radio sitting on the ledge, right on the corner of the porch. As I walked up to it, all I heard was static. With tremendous concentration (radios and I have a sketchy past) I took the index finger of my right hand and turned the dial...

      ... I got music... the funny part... it was R.E.M. ... no joke! Hahaha! (Still makes me laugh).

      Super content... I stood up straight and took in my surroundings. Now that I'm sort of in front of the little old cabin, I check out it's disheveled appearance wondering who lived here before. I turn to face away from it. The landscape infront of me was very cliffy and there was a body of water (not too large) somewhat below the cliffs... almost like a cove. Tall, tall evergreen trees aligned the cliffs and down below around the small lake. Something struck me here, though. A sadness... a sickness... someone loved this place and it was home to them and the life that once thrived here. I saw that the water was sort of putrid, I didn't hear happy wildlife... the trees were only half alive, as if struggling to hang on, losing their greenery at their tops. I felt... sorry... and projected feelings of love and respect for what it's seen... this place I mean.

      The night closed in, the sun went down... I hear dogs barking! I started walking to my left across the front of the cabin and along the cliff. There was another cliff above me... about my height. I stood on my tip-toes to see above it... there was a little trailer/camper with lights on. In front on it lay three dogs, 'they must have been the ones barking'. All of a sudden they see me! They charge at me, "BARK, BARK, BARK, YIP, YIP!".
      I back up a bit and then raise my hand for them to smell, "S'okay guys", I whisper. They all start wagging their tails and looking at me as if relieved to know it's a friend.
      "Hey! Who's there? What are you guys doing?" someone comes storming out of the camper.
      Feeling like I had to flee, I looked around and realized that my only way out was a small cliff that jet out ahead of me... over the lake... the sad putrid lake... 'but it's okay, I'll just have to fly' and taking a running start (knowing it wasn't long enough of one), I hurdled myself up into the air and failed. Realizing this all as it was happening, I accepted it and dove into the lake. Initially I was a little freaked out by what could be in there nibbling at my feet and toes, but then I heard beautiful voices of women singing, no words, just singing... and someone said, "feel the fish... feel them one your legs and feet... listen to what they're telling you". I did... I felt the water and the fish around me... swimming with me... they said...

    8. Marathon on Bridge.

      Another marathon dream. No I have never run a marathon or even jogged. Not sure what the subconscious is trying to say yet.

      I was outside on a road with car speeding by, the road was just were it was going to start being a bridge of a good size going over a wide turbulent river. There were a group of people hanging around looking cold in the winter wind. I wasn't cold at all but was wondering why these people were standing around if it was so cold.

      A woman about 43 years old looking like the typical housewife, white, brown hair above the shoulder, overly caffeinated. Then out of the blue she yelled,
      "HI EVERYONE! I'm glad your all here! OK lets get our marathon on!"

      I knew I could run across a medium length bridge it might take me 10 or 15 minutes, no big deal.

      Then the pack of people I was in started running up stares up on to the arch of the bridge that the cables hang off of! There was a platform we all gathered on before we ran across the arch single file. We ran to one side and came back but I was not hardly lucid at all and is quite fuzzy but when I came back I longed for the platform so much I started to get some of my lucidity back.

      I lunged for the handrail on the platform, it was so high up are these people crazy!? And there was no safety harness! I saw some old timer running and he looked unconcerned so I let the concern go.

      We then were back at a work room where we were making some kind of arts and decorations for our parade. I gethered some arts stuff randomly and stood there, with a small pile of arts and craft stuff, thinking how I had absolutely no idea what I was doing.

      I woke and grumbled "marathon dream."
      What are you trying to tell me subconscious?

    9. The grand library of Teraluna - the history of the dream plane

      Been pretty sick lately and my dream recall hasn't been very good.
      I had quite a few dreams, some lucid, but the lack of details made them feel unworthy of posting.

      I'm walking on the promenade in Haven on Teraluna.
      Enjoying the fresh air, I walk towards one of the main streets on my way to Yuya's place.
      On the main street I go up a level, ending up one level below the topmost one, with all the houses and apartments.
      This level features mostly shops and restaurants, I sometimes come here with Yuya for dinner.
      It's dusk, so the city is quite lively.

      I pass a shop that sells flowers and I wonder if I should buy some for Yuya.
      They're all on display outside, so I wander a bit around having a look at the different kinds of flowers.
      Some don't look like flowers at all, and some are clearly alive.
      They're all very beautiful and they have a distinct smell.
      I suddenly realize that I have no money, how am I going to pay for these?


      Wait, what? WTF! I'm on Teraluna! How did I not notice that I'm dreaming?
      This surprises me quite a bit and it takes me a few seconds to settle down.
      The dream feels very stable and vivid, but I still rub my hands and try to feel the presence of my surroundings to make
      that the dream remains perfectly stable.

      Looking back at the flowers I see one that is immensely beautiful.
      The colors somewhat match those of Yuya's eyes, I feel they would be an appropriate gift.
      I ask the lady selling the flowers:

      "Would you be willing to trade something for these flowers?"
      "Haha, of course young man, what did you have in mind?"

      I summon my phoenix wings on my left arm and remove one of the smaller colorful feathers from it.
      They fall out occasionally, it'll grow back.
      I hand it to the lady.

      "How beautiful! Please, take the flowers, thank you!"

      That went well.
      I take the flowers and continue walking towards Yuya's place.
      I think about how this dream started on Teraluna, even though I was non-lucid.
      Then I realize I'm wasting time.
      I can see a bridge crossing from this street to another one on the level above me, I'll be able to see Yuya's place from there.
      I blink on top of it, and from there I blink to Yuya's place.

      Yuya greets me, telling me that I'm right on time. Did we set a meeting?
      I hand her the flowers.

      "They're for you."

      She seems extremely happy. I am yet again surprised by the way she shows her emotions.
      She simply doesn't hold back at all. It feels so pure, I've never seen anyone with such a happy expression in waking life.
      Yuya puts the flowers in some sort of vase.
      I notice that the dream doesn't feel as stable anymore, and I attempt to re-stabilize which succeeds.

      "Alright, I promised you we'd visit the library, let's go!"

      The library? Did we talk about this in a previous dream?
      Maybe a dream that I cannot remember?
      Clearly, I can't recall such a dream, but I am convinced that we did indeed decide to visit a library somewhere on Teraluna.
      It must have been a lucid dream I do not remember.
      I get ready to draw my wings but Yuya interrupts me.

      "Let's fly there! We shouldn't teleport into the library, we might disturb someone."
      "Sure, lead the way!"

      I take off and fly next to Yuya, trying to keep up.
      She's accelerating fast, I can't keep up without summoning my wings.
      I remember that in my last big fight I managed to summon my phoenix wings on my back, in full size.
      I wonder if I can do that again and use them for fast flight, just the way I've been using my dragon fire wings until now.

      I try to accumulate some of that pure energy and manage to draw the wings on my back.
      They're very beautiful and very large. They feel somewhat oversized for my body.
      It is VERY easy to fly at high speed with them, much easier than with the dragon wings.
      We quickly break the sound barrier and everything becomes very calm.

      This is the first time I'm really exploring other parts of Teraluna, usually I just stay in Haven.
      It is beautiful!
      There are very high and complex trees growing directly out of the sea.
      They must be over a kilometer high each.
      We slow down and fly down, through the crowns of the trees.
      It is difficult to navigate them due to their complexity.

      There are waterfalls in the crowns as well, I wonder where they come from, are the trees emitting water?
      We go lower and lower and finally fly through a maze of waterfalls leading to a spectacular entrance.
      The entrance is absolutely huge. Fortunately it opens by itself.
      Inside there are the same angel statues as in the entrance to Haven.
      As I pass under them I feel myself passing through a forcefield.
      Makes sense, the library must be protected as well.

      I enter the library in amazement, the bookshelves reach into all eternity.
      There is literally no end to them. Even zooming in they seem to go on forever.
      The library is very well lit, everything is very bright and white.
      The shelves are mostly made out of glass.
      Materials feel very modern, but some shapes remind me of the Victorian era.

      Yuya explains what the different kinds of books are and we wander around a bit.
      She shows me quite a few things which I unfortunately cannot quite remember.
      Then we come to a rather special shelf.
      Yuya tells me there's 1001 books in this shelf.
      They all seem very old, and they are huge.
      Nearly 1 meter high and very thick, probably 1000 pages each.

      They feel very special, there's is something about them that really intrigues me.

      "Are we allowed to touch them?"
      "Of course, just be gentle, they are very old."

      I pick the first of them, it's very heavy.
      I gently deposit it on a reading table and open the first page.
      The pages are so old... they feel like papyrus, and you can actually see how the paper was weaved.
      Everything in them is hand written and hand drawn. They are not printed copies.
      It feels sort of amazing touching such an old book, plus the smell is very nice.
      The title of the first page is in a language I do not know.
      The letters are formed by geometric shapes, but somehow I am able to understand it.

      This book is about the beginning... the beginning of... everything?
      They all are! Those 1001 books, is this the story of this universe?
      The story of the dream plane?

      "Yes, they are, are you able to read it?"
      "I'm not sure. I cannot understand the individual words or letters, but somehow I understand some of it."

      I randomly try to read the first few lines at the beginning of some chapters.
      The first one talks about there being nothing but energy.
      Some chapters further they talk about the first gods.
      I honestly have no idea how I'm understanding any of this.
      The numerous images and illustrations help though.

      The language used to write these is very powerful though.
      A single word carries much more meaning than any languages in waking life.
      Considering this, needing 1001 books to describe the history of the dream plane...
      it just feels impossible like any single person could ever know the whole story.

      "True, but it's not finished yet."
      "Not all books have been written yet, after all we're still living the story written in these books."

      "Then why are there exactly 1001 books?"
      "Because exactly 1001 books are needed to tell the story."
      "But, does that mean the dream plane will end once you reach the 1001st book?"
      "Not only the dream plane, the planes cannot exist on their own, they all exist together."

      I'm very surprised, it is known when existence will end?

      "Hyu... the dream plane has existed for eternities, long before Earth was created, long before your universe was formed."
      "That being said, we've barely filled 400 books."
      "We cannot even comprehend for how long things have existed until now, so there is no reason to worry about any ending."

      "True..."

      I browse through some more pages in amazement.
      Somehow I understand that this language is very ancient and was meant to be universal.
      I think I am able to interpret some of it due to the divine phoenix powers, but I'm not sure.
      I end up getting lost in thoughts and wake up...
    10. MDP #1 - The Pentagon - The Data

      This continuous lucid dream story will revolve around the aftermath of the films Iron Man 2, Thor, and The Incredible Hulk, which will not culminate in the Avengers team but something different. Many of the lines are rehearsed in daydreams so the actual dreams should play out relatively well. I don't know much about the Marvel universe (I've only seen the movies) and dreams are often unpredictable, so the story will probably have errors and mishaps, but I'll do my best. This is "part 2" of hopefully many more dreams.

      Plot Intro:
      - I'm a qualified computer sciences and biochem scientist who is good at hacking computers.
      - I moved to New York a few days prior to the incident with Emil Blonsky in Harlem, then I saw the news flashes about it and statements from General Ross and figured something just didn't sit right.
      - I hacked into the mainframe of S.H.I.E.L.D.'s database and got intel on Bruce Banner, including files of the preliminary "accident", and Ross's amendment-violating treatment of him.
      - Because of sheer luck, I found a suitable cure for Bruce's gamma poisoning and managed to successfully test it on myself after a lot of headache-inducing equipment and resource scavenging. Now I needed to find Bruce before S.H.I.E.L.D. and Ross did.

      As you might be able to tell, you'll be seeing more of Bruce Banner than any other character. He is currently played by Edward Norton. I've also noticed that in the majority of my lucids, I'm invulnerable and have super strength, hence the reason I decided to make myself a guinea pig for this "cure". It fits my preexisting lucid dream profile and will make things easier. I will also run into Eric Lensherr, played by Michael Fassbender, who will also side with me and perhaps instigate some cool dream fights of his own. Maybe he will cause problems.
      My Notes:
      The majority of this dream had high-level lucidity, good control, and really, really good recall. I'm satisfied with most of it.

      I was at the mall. Actually, this was a real mall, and one in my city that I just went to the day before. In real life, it has two floors chocked full of shops, a big opening in the middle so you could look across the mall and see other stores. It also has a tall glass ceiling. But in the dream, it had three levels, with ceilings that were slightly lower than normal, and the lighting had an almost "warm" tone to it. There were lots of people walking around.

      I became lucid within moments. I did the nose-plug RC which failed, but I was positive that I was dreaming, so I counted my fingers. I don't just look at my fingers and count them, though, because I might skip a number or a finger. So, I bent each finger as I went along. One, two, three, four, five.

      Hm. That's not right.

      I looked up, shook my hand out, and looked at it again. I didn't realize anything strange about it until I counted again: one, two, three, four, five, and six! I bent each finger until I got to the last one, which didn't bend until I willed, or expected, it to. It felt strange, as if I really did have an extra digit. "Yes, I thought I might be dreaming!" I exclaimed, rubbing my hands and looking around. I looked up at the glass ceiling of the mall and realized that it was cloudy, and fairly dark outside, as if the sun was about to set. "Okay, first thing's first. Teleporting."

      I turned around and was facing a jewelery store. This store was open and had no doors; it was just a walk-in one. It had deep purple walls and a beveled, golden sign at the back of the store (it was only about twenty feet deep) that said something like "Ben Moss" in italics. Inside, there was the usual line-up of rectangular glass display counters, which I didn't really take the time to observe. There were no lights, but the the store was well-lit. I saw one man on the right-hand side; he was older, grey hair, and was wearing a black suit with a pale peach tie. It was rather ugly. His small, rectangular-shaped glasses with gray frames suited the tie well - I guess I could say that both of them were ugly!

      I had to summon a door. Teleporting from the inside of a building to the outside of one is an easy task, so I just turned away from the store, and turned around. I forgot to visualize there just being a door and no more store, but that didn't really stop a door from being summoned - the store was still there, but on the left wall, there was a basic wooden door like you'd find in a house. I opened it, visualizing strongly - I wanted to be directly outside the pentagon, a large, uh, military base, I believe. The building would be gray, and it would be relatively dark outside. There would be a couple military guards in their camouflage-style outfits, standing up on a ledge with rifle guns, and a fence with barbed wire encircling the area. There would be one main door, a relatively well-hidden one, behind a fenced gate.

      This worked out well - I opened the door and walked right into the location I had visualized; I was about fifteen feet away from the front gate, and I could see the pentagon-shaped building behind it. On either side of the front gate was a taller, silver-colored metal fence with a cylindrical ring of barbed wire circling along the top. It was a good setup, albeit it was lighter outside than I'd hoped, and there were only two or three guards. I looked at the sky and put my finger on a moon that I had summoned, dragging it further up into the sky, and rubbing it out with the side of my right hand, lowering the opacity (brightness) of it, like I'd do with an eraser in Photoshop. The light level lowered itself in a choppy fashion instead of smoothly, but regardless of the process, it was now darker. I couldn't see any stars in the sky; it was just a very dark, pale blue that faded into a lighter, more turquoise blue at the horizon - it was actually quite pretty.

      I walked forward, not really expecting anything in particular to happen. But, what did happen was what I'd expected - a guard up on the right-hand size of the tall ledge pointed his gun at me. I had to squint slightly to create more details of the person, as it was fairly dark and I could only essentially see his silhouette and the shine of his rifle.

      "Freeze!"

      I stopped and slowly put my hands up to my head. At this point, I was slightly afraid of losing my lucidity because right here was when I'd step into character and start the first part of the dream plot story. I didn't think much of it, though. I just said to myself, "I am dreaming, do not forget I am dreaming". I intended for that to be said outside of the story, so the DC guard wouldn't react to it. And he didn't react, which kept the story from breaking.

      "Hands where I can see them!"

      I lifted my hands up into the air, and got down on my knees. I could hear a few people running towards me, and I also heard the jingling of ammunition and guns. I could smell toast, for some reason. I looked to the side and saw two men coming at me with handcuffs. One of them was older than the other; I'd estimate their ages to be forty and probably late-twenties. As soon as the younger man reached out, with the larger-than-normal handcuffs dangling from one of his hands, I took the opportunity to swing out and land an uppercut against his chest, sending him flying back. I could feel the momentum in my hand as I did this, which reminded me of a wrecking ball; the actual contact was more like punching a pillow that was filled with fluff. The guy probably went a good ten feet or so, right past the older man, who looked behind himself and then back at me. I didn't look to see where the person landed or if he just disappeared into the dream, because I was looking at the remaining man.

      I casually expected the man to pull out a walkie-talkie or some other form of transmission device. He reached his hand around to his back and pulled out a device that looked like a Cobra MicroTalk MT200, except without the large antennae (it only had a small, short one).

      "Tony, we need you", he said.

      I hadn't expected the man, who wasn't familiar at all, to presumably talk to Tony Stark. I wondered if I was looking at my dream's rendition of Colonel James Rhodes, which wasn't exactly part of the plot. But I decided to use this to my advantage.

      "Do you realize what project you're truly working for?" ..."Project" wasn't the right word, but I didn't realize that in the dream.

      "What do you mean?" he said, now starting to sound a bit like Rhodes, even if he didn't look like him.

      "I know who put you up to this. But do you know the whole story?"

      He pointed the gun at me, squinting and, for some reason, lowering the gun. "Who are you?"

      "I know your boss has confiscated the data from Case 20 (a name made up on the fly, because I didn't know what else to say). I know what your boss has done. I'm here to take that data to help the man's life that he's going to destroy."

      I stopped to allow for a reaction of some sort, but he just stood there, the gun suddenly pointed at me again, which had happened without a discernible transition or movement. It's strange how dreams do that. I also noticed that it was getting a bit lighter outside.

      Continuing, I added, "You have anything to say?" I attempted to coax a statement out of him using dream control.

      "I obey orders."

      Sometime during this conversation, the man assumed the appearance of Don Cheadle's portrayal of James Rhodes.

      "There's something else I should tell you," I warned. "I've found a permanent, well, not quite a cure for his condition."

      "That's great," he said, starting to come out of character, which concerned me. He should have been upset with this and hostile. But I ignored it, because I was starting to lose my lucidity. "I am dreaming," I said once. Then I continued. "The thing is, I had to duplicate the gamma infection so I could test it."

      I almost felt the dream starting to fade, so I quickly stood up and ran toward Rhodes, trying to look intimidating and throwing a strong punch towards him. He was no longer holding a gun, so he didn't shoot me. Sadly I can't remember any more details past this.


      After this, I awoke into a false awakening - I was in bed, and my eyes were shut. I saw four very small numbers behind my eyelids, exactly like the red digits of a digital alarm clock. Believing I was really awake, I tried to DEILD. Nothing happened; it just faded and I woke up for real. I was immediately pleased with the dream and how much it felt like a segment from a movie.

    11. The chaser

      (Comment: This is my first real nightmare that I remember in.... ever.. I think I only had one when I was a little kid. )


      I was there in my grandparents house. I was bringing a person back alive. For some reason, I had a feeling of being the creator of that specific creature. The dream started there though, and I don't know if I had built a human being from scratch, or just operated on him and brought him back to life. I successfully revived him. He took a while, maybe a few minutes, to come to full thinking/ speaking capability. He looked at me for a while. He started talking very calmly. He was threatening me. Telling me that I'd have a chance to run away, and if he'd catch me, I'd suffer something horrible. I did not specifically know or think about what this horrible fate would be but I knew that it was bad.

      So I started running. I ran and I ran. Climbed obstacles, hid from the guy multiple times, all occuring in the small part of town where the house was located in. It was absolutely terryfying seeing this guy 5 feet away from me, knowing that if I stumbled or didn't run fast enough, something terrible would happen. Finally I had hid in the living room of the house. I looked away. When I looked back, the person was there, again, staring at me. Slowly walking towards me. I told him to stop and listen to me for a while. He sat on a seat and so did I. (comment: At this point I somehow knew that it was a dream, yet I could not classify it as a lucid, since I was not aware that it was a dream, but I kinda just knew that it was, but didn't acknowledge it, which is why I didn't put this in either lucid or non-lucid)

      His appearance was scary. He was an old man with long, messy, near white hair. He was wearing torn clothes, which were also dirty. He had no shoes. His skin was all around in bad condition. His hands, big and full of veins. His arms, muscular, from what I saw through the gaps in the clothing. His face, filled with scars.

      I told him that if he'd be better off not chasing me. There is no real benefit in keeping this up. He said that I would never be able to get back to where I came from. That I'd be eternally stuck with him, unless I'd give up, and in which case, I'd suffer horribly.

      I saw my younger brother (He's only 8) running around in the yard. I jumped off of the sofa I was sitting on, blasted open the door, ran out, took him with me, hid under the stairs that were there on the western end of the building. Saw and heard how the guy ran down the stairs and past the house to the other side of the house. I took my brother and carried him to the carage of the house in the front. There, we sat on a bench very quietly. The suspense was dreadful. The feeling of fear like no other.
      About ten seconds later, the door from the cellar to the carage (which is not the same as the main carage door) opened, and I saw him. I thought out loud "How could he know where we were?!". I remember him running towards us.


      End dream. (Comment: Dream did not end at the moment he was running towards me. I did not wake up to that. That's just the last thing I remember)

      I had been to a party the previous night and a girl called Sophie who I liked was there.

      I am in my living room and there is a knock at the door, I go and answer it and Sophie is standing in my porch. I say 'hello' and she begins talking about how she doesnt want anything to ruin our friendship but that basically, she likes me. I am excited and start rambling about how I've wanted to ask her out for a while and stuff, but I got really excited and everything just sort of faded.
      I'm awake, and fucking depressed that it was a dream.

    13. Ocean Cul-de-sac

      I was on the beach, but there was this Cul-de-sac of ocean water that reached further inland than the rest of it. Around the perimeter of the water was a near continuous boardwalk, and level with the perimeter of the boardwalk was a near continuous row of shops, venues, living quarters, and a hotel. All the buildings were beautiful, with large windows and white stucco exteriors. Their interiors were lavish yet tasteful. There were long planters and potted plants all over the place, filled with tropical plants and flowers. The waters were like crystal, with beautiful, vibrant sea-life. I pitched a little tent in one of the areas where the boardwalk met a dock that was closer to water level, then I went on to explore this community. I spent a great deal of time swimming, as well as sampling many scrumptious pastries from the local bakery.
    14. The most messed up dream I have ever had... 12th January 2011

      Me and my dad are standing in what appears to be a bunkbed but with four posts sticking out upwards from the four corners and one in the middle of the bed. A little, black, slimy, octopus looking thing is sitting on the post in the middle (the octopus type thing is about the size of a fist). Me and my dad start trying to hit the octopus for some reason. Once it has been hit, it waits for about 2 seconds and then jumps to another post. This keeps happening over and over until the octopus is on a post in the corner, I hit it again but it just stays there, it doesn't jump away. I immediately think this is bad and dive to the side so that I am lying in the bed. Now, my dad approaches me and starts making fun of me for being scared. I get angry at him, then Jack from eastenders (WTF?? lol) turns up and gets rid of the octopus. I notice a magazine under a pillow and say 'European porn, European porn is better than American porn'. Jack replies 'really?' and I say 'hell yes!'.
      I wake up now... THAT WAS A FUCKED UP DREAM

    15. Werewolves

      Lucid: Only in some parts
      Accuracy: Well, it was mostly clear, but parts fadded as I woke.

      I was taken to a town. It was a renncoance type town, and very pretty. There was a stone path way with different buildings and stores. Lights hung from building to building like Christmas lights. It was night time. The whole dream was night. Now, I don't remember who took me, but I remembered why. They said I was a were-wolf. That I could turn into a wolf, and this place they would keep me^ forever so I could train to shift and work for them. I joined a group of about 20 kids, all my age at a carnvial type stand. Like when you go to a carnival and you see all those carnival games? That type of stand. They wanted a health-check to see if I really was a were-wolf and they checked my teeth of all things.

      So I passed and then we were all taken to a feild. As we left town the area became more like the country. Big corn feilds we passed as we hiked down a dirt path. Soon we stopped at a huge feild. Just a huge green grassy feild. A small ruin castle was near us. We were to begin training as wolves he.

      Our first assignment was to build a fort and crouch behind it. I remember thinking how odd that was considering it was a feild and I didn't have a fort by time, time was up. The man training us was very stern and cruel and he said pretty much that I sucked and to bad.

      The next assignment was A game of tag. It wasn't like normal tag because when the other person found you, you could fight them. It was to "help our wolfish senses". The game of tag I remember was extraordinary because you could run as long as you like without faltering or tiring and you could do these flips over people. When I got raged I easily fought off my opponent in the ruin castle. I was invincible! Now by this point in the dream, I had fully excepted that I was a shape-shifter and I would be staying there for life.

      The last thing I saw before my dream came to end was another group of older kids in the corn feild. It was another group of were-wolves and we watched them shift into wolves and it must have startled me so much I woke up around 10:00AM

      I'm not into twilight and all, by wolves are my favorite animal so I think I might have an idea where my mind got this one from XD
