    1. Fever dreams | [18.06.2019]

by , 06-18-2019 at 04:13 PM (Draeger's Dream Journal and Documentation)
Side note: I was really sick when dreaming these and the dreams I get when I'm sick are often very vivid so I usually recall them easier than my other dreams. I seem to have forgotten a lot about these dreams, though.

      Slenderman survival w/ a friend
I'm outside along with a friend. We own a mansion for shelter which is in the middle of the forest with paths leading around from the mansion through the forest. The next thing I remember is that we see static and start sprinting into any direction in the forest. As the static grows more intense, I remark that I don't want to play this 'game' anymore and that I don't like horror like this, before the slenderman popped out in front of me. I ran back towards the mansion, going in before my friend closes both doors, then swearing and quickly turning on the lights in the entrance hall. It's night now. We wait and I am scared of the fact that the slenderman can come out of the darkness and that the mansion is mostly dark.

Next day, I go out wandering for some reason, before later on my way back hearing strong breathing coming closer. I don't know what it is, but luckily it's staying in the bushes for now. Shortly before the entrance to the mansion, my friend tells me that what I heard is something which has a generic male name which I don't remember.

Skip to the monster running towards the house now. I run to the front door and quickly close it in third person view, using a cursor to close the doors. It's lagging so it's hard for me to hit the door, but I manage to do it, relieved as the breathing is right in front of the door but nothing came through. Though then I remember the side door left of me and also try to close that, but this time, it's lagging too much so I back away to a small table with a light on it. I think about going upstairs to hide, but it was too late. The breathing reveals itself to be a creepy dog-like creature which suddenly storms towards me, then I wake up. Soon after this, though, I fall asleep again. I don't remember the dream I got then, but when I woke up from that, I fell asleep once again and I remember that dream in many fragments.

      Fake lucidity, false awakening
The next thing I remember is that I am in a strange place, a tiny bit of water seemingly flowing between two sidewalks, surrounded by brick walls running along very far. I do a reality check with my hand which doesn't work, so I try a nose reality check and I breathe through my pinched nose. Though, for some reason, I don't get lucid, I just dream about being lucid. I try controlling the dream, but nothing happened. Then I get a false awakening, before reentering the previous dream scene. I see another person who tells me something, while I try to control the dream again. I then end up in a sort of Subnautica scene, and then I don't remember anything else.
    2. Hotels again & weird little people dreams

Yesterday: Non-lucid- My parents, siblings & kids were with me. We were on vacation. We had checked into a really nice hotel. There were all of these cheerleaders running around because of some local sporting event. My kids were being asses & bitching that they wanted to stay at a different place that they had stayed before. My day was paying so we stayed & it was nicer than the place they wanted to go anyway. Like really nice. The place was over booked & a family was staying at a house beside the hotel. I went out side & walked over there to be nosy. I walked up onto the front porch. These people were really religious & had all of these kids. Kind of like the 19 kids & counting tv show. The father had made some calligraphy light art. It looked like a neon budweiser light or something. I told his wife that he was really talented. But she just smiled. Her kids were artistic as well. The next day everyone was flooding out of the building at once & suddenly everywhere looked like a college campus. Then my alarm went off.

      Today non-lucid:
All of my dreams were fragments of little people & just plain weird shit.
This is my 3rd day of having a fever. Yesterday I was so sick but had to go grocery shopping & was wiped out so bad I couldn't type much cuz reading was making me dizzy. Still burning up today but had to go to my grandson's award event. Now I think I'll go pass out after I make my rounds on here.
    3. Strong fever nightmare

I had a cold some time ago and I experienced some really strong, feverish, nightmares. Going to share them here and maybe some of you have had similar experiences. After i had these I kind of put down the dreaming for a while as the power of them scared me. Clearly a downside of getting better at dreaming, all dreams become stronger, no matter good or bad.

      Dream 1
I was floating in darkness. Just complete and empty darkness. In the darkness there were bubbles. Bubbles of knowledge floating in a calm and dark eternity. Among them I was floating. I could not choose were to float, I just did. At some times i passed through the bubbles of knowledge. And the knowledge were so strong, and so terrifying. It felt like my mind was gonna burst like a soap bubble. And then i had passed through. But then there were another bubble of terrible knowledge.

I can't remember what knowledge they contained, just that it were very strong and very powerful. I woke up covered in sweat and with my heart racing.

      Dream 2
I woke up and I was completely convinced that there was a snake beside me in the bed. I could feel it. It was there. I did not dare to move. Then i jumped out of the bed and ran across the room and lit the ceiling lamp.

There were, of course, no snake there. But it felt so real, and was so vivid.. Scary as fuck.

That's it! Is it normal that the dreams you dream while sick is stronger and darker then normally? Because I never experience nightmares normally.

"I'd like a triple Venti half-sweet white mocha, please," says the woman. Her curly brown hair is pulled back into a ponytail, and she digs through her purse for change.

I nod absently, pick up my sharpie and mark the drink, putting it on the bar next to the other three drinks that have already been ordered. My hand scrapes against the white fabric and I pause, glancing at the alarm clock on my nightstand. Two AM. Wait...

"What the fuck are you people doing in my house?" I mutter, shaking off the last fragments of the dream. Still half-asleep, I imagine that the customers are waiting impatiently in my living room. Irritated and disoriented, I curl up and try to go back to sleep.

      Coffee. Scare Factor: 4.

And working New Years Day... what a nightmare.
