Cay's Dreams Dream 1 I was with my sister, Azra, and an unfamiliar male; we were in a huge room with tan walls. All the furniture was pushed up agains them and there were several beds stacked on top of each other to make a rickety bunk bed. Azra, my sister and the male all climbed up to the top bunk- it must've been 20 feet off the ground. Suddenly the door was thrown open and people started flooding into the room, people with glowing green eyes and weapons. There were a few pairs pushing what looked like a cross between a medieval flail and an old fashioned push reel lawn mower. I spent the remainder of the dream playing defend the castle (the bunks) with my bare fists. At one point I stopped one of the lawn mower things with my open hand and it was lacerated to bits. At this point I woke up with a sore jaw from grinding my teeth. Dream 2 I got lucid. I was standing in my yard, it was warm and pleasant and looked like summer. I became aware of a huge pole standing in the yard, a signpost. On one side, a huge orange sign read "Katsuno's Dream", with a symbol below it of a person falling through a portal (from the game Portal). I went and stood below the sign. The dream world started shifting around me; soon in the place of my house stood what looked like a hotel, painted bright blue with white balconies. I shrugged and set off for it. As soon as I walked into the lobby, there were all these dream characters crowding and pushing. I made my way toward the general center. There stood facing away a guy with brown hair in a white t-shirt with a different sense about him than the rest of the DCs- I spun him around. "Katsuno?!" I shouted in his face, while holding him by the shoulders. "Ah, yes?" he leaned away. "Katsuno! You're dreaming! You're dreaming, Katsuno!" I hugged him. "And, I'm Cay...and this is a shared dream!" I started dragging him around by the wrist, telling him excitedly that he had to try to remember this. I lost lucidity somewhere in the crowd of DCs, and Azra's alarm clock woke me up. She set it forward for an hour, though, so I fell back to sleep after scribbling some notes on a Post-it. Based on Katsuno's account from last night, though, it was a false encounter. Dream 3 I was apparently in the damp stone tunnels under a castle, looking for a number of hidden relics in the shape of wooden suns, with faces carved on them and painted gold. I was also avoiding the guardians of the catacombs, these reptilian humanoids with chain mail and straight swords with spikes on them like the orcs have in LotR. I kept having to hurriedly snuff out my lantern when I heard their shuffling footsteps.
I dreamed i was in a giant spaceship (semi-organic, semi-material), with a crew of three people. We could see the Cosmos through the ship, the ship was some kind of dark-purple mesh/net. We were messing with LCD transparent touch screens. The ship, inside, was made of various tunnels that were all connected with a central control room - the nerve center of the ship. The tunnels (all leading to this control room) where large and very long and had to be crossed with other ships, but smaller. There was zero gravity throughout the entire ship, except in the control room. There was something that went wrong, because as we were calibrating equipment and chemical levels of the ship, an alarm sounded and everyone had to leave fast. ______________________________________________ Comment: Part of the dateless dreams series
I was in some kind of warehouse, which was filled with intricate children's play equipment. It was all constructed of soft, blue tunnels. The tunnels felt like some sort of puzzle. I passed a couple of girls from my school who are in younger grades, they were coming out as I was going in. I remember being in the tunnels for quite a while, navigating around and finding my way. There were tight spots, where I didn't fit the tunnel, but I didn't panic and either continued or found a different path. I believe I found my way out, and was crouching on top of a platform ontop of a tall pole, looking down at a few boys from my school, who dared me to go back in and jump. I went back in, and jumped into a deep pool of water at the bottom of a long vertical tube. In trying to find my way back out, I found a room which didn't use regular gravity. It was covered in simple looking alien organisms, which were sucking me towards them. As I got closer, I touched a red light on one, turning them all off, and proceeded to use them as something to bounce on to navigate my way to the top of the area without gravity. Climbing around the corner at the top was hard, and I had to lift myself sideways, which somehow put me on another area which was horizontal, and returned gravity to normal without a noticeable shift.
I have been very busy for the past week with exams to study for, and rather stressed. As a result, I have not been keeping up with my dream journal and my recall is getting a little out of shape. Last night I was a little on edge, so I took 800mg valerian. I slept briefly from 12:30am to about 3:00, and then had difficulty getting back to sleep. I took approximately 1/4mg of melatonin at this point. I then briefly attempted a MILD, but my mind was so restless it was difficult to keep any mantra or visualization. Nonetheless, I appear to have been successful in something Beat Up ... I am part of a much larger adventure. We are in school or a library or something, possibly in Japan. It might even be a hotel. There is a large swimming pool in one room, and we are chasing after some villain. I apprehend this guy in the pool room, which is also some kind of laboratory. Cornered, he turns on me. The guy is Japanese, and much larger than I am. I am no match for him, and we circle around a set of shelves containing chemical equipment and some glassware. I think to myself "this is a very odd situation. Not only that, I'm in a school, near a swimming pool, and there are lots of other things that are dreamsigns. I don't ordinarily fight Japanese guys in real life. I'll bet I'm dreaming."Sure enough, I soon realize, I am! My Japanese opponent takes advantage of my temporary disorientation upon realizing that I am dreaming. As I stand there laughing to myself and patting myself on the back, he jumps around to my side of the shelves and closes in. "Ha ha!" I laugh, "You do realize this is a dream, don't you? You're no match for me!" He continues to come towards me. I decide I had better stabilize the dream, so I try a dream posession technique like the one I had great success with in a lucid dream last week. I decide to try to posess my opponent, but he won't stand still. I can see that he won't cooperate for me, and I remember that part of the success last time came from the fact that I posessed my dream self, Monk. I summon Monk. "Monk," I order, "Appear right here." I indicate to the spot next to me. I look, and there he is, waiting. I step sideways until I should be standing in the same spot as him, and blink a few times until I am seeing with his eyes. I am starting to get this posession technique down, but it was not easy to complete last night because the Japanese fellow was still attacking me. "Wait a minute!" I say, not quite understanding why he is still playing his part. "Let me stabilize this dream." He doesn't wait, but takes a swing at me. I glance around quickly, trying to notice details and activate my senses. I am partially successfull in this, though it is not easy to do a proper job of it with a huge thug trying to pulverize my skull. "OK," I say, visiously turning on my assailant, "If that's the way you want it, fine! You're no match for me, this is my dream. I'm lucid, you know." The Japanese thug just sneers at me, and swings at me again. "Watch this," I say. I visualize a force of energy coming out of my finger, and into the stomach of my attacker. Not much happens, so I thrust at him, feeling the energy as I do so. He looks down at his stomach, as though I had just poked him. Then he laughs. "You really thought that that would work?" he roars, "Well watch this!" He punches me in the stomach and I double over. Then he grabs me by the shoulders, and throws me into the wall. My breath is knocked out of me. This is not going at all well. Pinning me against the wall by the shoulders, he peers into my face (all this time smiling in a self-satisfied way as though he knows DC's aren't supposed to do this). "What about this?" he says, punching me in the face. "How is the dream going now?" Then he slaps my face a couple of times, pulls back his fist, and delivers a punch directly between the eyes that wakes me up. At the Lake My famliy and I are at a lake. It is on that I used to dream of more frequently, but have not for a while. We wade a little bit at a beach, and come across some large rocks in the water. My Dad starts climbing around on them, jumping from one to another. There is one jump he is hesitant to make, but when I get out onto the rocks I attempt the jump. It isn't like you fall very far if you miss, the rocks are only a few inches out of the water. I miss one jump, and splash into the water. My parents chuckle, and that's all that happens. Pretty anticlimactic for a dream after taking valerian. There be Giants We are in a place with many tunnels. I'm not entirely sure who we are, but I think is it something like the crew of the starship Enterprise. But I'm also at my grandparents' house. Anyway, it is more like a huge sewer system. Many adventures take place that are a little fuzzy when I try to recall them, but they invlolve some mythtical creatures and some robots. A robot crawls inside of the Moon, which somehow causes time to stand still. This does something with a giant. We now have to defeat this giant. The location is like a shopping mall now. An element of romance has been added, as I am trying to win a girl I believe. There are other people around. I can't remember what they are supposed to be doing. Anway, we can hear the footsteps of the giant down one of the tunnels. They get closer and closer, and we realize we had better seek cover. I try to run up a narrow set of stairs, but the giant follows. There is a scene where two of us and the giant are running around and around the stairs, jumping down to a lower part of the stairwell and running back up again. Then I run into a department store and hide among the shelves. The giant is captured, and some of our group sets to work on performing a labotomy or something. They open it's skull, and pour in some liquid. A few minutes later, the giant wakes up. I am afraid that he might turn on us again, so I stay in hiding (for some reason, I was a big coward in this dream). Soon the giant approaches the place where I am hiding. Some of my companions come running in to tell me that everything is OK, and the giant is harmless now.
It starts off behind a three story house with faded yellow bricks. I do not know if the house was in a town or in the country but the backyard was fairly large and had trees all around the perimeter, though there were no trees or shrubs on the actual yard. It was autumn and the entire backyard was covered in leaves of various orange hues. At the beginning I stepped out of the backdoor of the house (I do no recall anything about the inside) and I saw two middle-aged women frantically stuffing leaves into black garbage bags. There were three black garbage bags lined up on the edge of the small wooden porch (just to my right) and almost at the same time I saw them, the women saw me and froze in place and stared at me with shocked looks on their faces. One of the women (with dirty blond hair) kind of speed walked over to me and asked what I wanted in a nervous manner while the other woman (with dark brown hair) continued with the frantic leaf stuffing. I gestured to the house and said I was here to stay a few nights. Apparently the place was a bed and breakfast inn or something. The blond woman seemed disoriented for a moment than apologized and showed me to a room. I returned to the backyard as the sun was setting and found the women were still frantically putting leaves into garbage bags, but were also burning some in a firepit in the middle of the large yard. I went over to them and asked why did they not just burn all the leaves and though the brunette responded, I cannot recall exactly what she said. Something about it taking to long or something? It was then that I noticed there was something burning at the bottom of the pit that was not wood or leaves but I did not say anything. In the morning I went into the backyard and the women and garbage bags were gone. I went over to the firepit and tried to see what was at the bottom now that the fire was out. I could see the charred remains of what looked like a human torso and head. I was not scared, just a bit disgusted and I went back into the house. When the two women returned, I asked them about the body in the firepit and the blond woman broke down and started crying while the brunette woman paced nervously around the room. They admitted to murdering a man who had checked in a few days before but they swore it was in self defense. The brunette woman said they burned the head and torso in the fire and dumped the arms and legs in various leaf filled garbage bags around the area. The two women seemed scared and genuinely felt guilty so I told them to gather the clothes they were wearing during the murder and to gather some bleach. We dunked the clothes in the bleach then burned them when they dried. I asked the women to find a bucket and when they returned we shovelled the ashes from the fire pit into the bucket. Then we dumped the ashes from a moving vehicle along a desolate road somewhere in a deep forest. When we returned to the bed and breakfast inn, there was a police crusier in the driveway and the two women began to panic. I told them to calm down because the police do not know anything and are probably just going to question them about any previous guests they have had. We went inside and were questioned by the police officer about the missing man, but he seemed convinced that we did not know anything so he left. After he was gone, the women asked me to follow them out to the firepit. I cannot remember exactly what they did now but somehow the fire pit turned into a large well with a ladder leading down. The women said I could escape through here and I said goodbye and climbed down into the darkness. It did not take very long for the ladder to lead out into an bright open area. At first I thought it led outside but then I realised it was some sort of dungeon that was just very well lit. The only way I can describe it is as a battle area in a first person shooter videogame like Quake or Halo or something. Anyway, it was very maze like and everything was made of sienna coloured bricks. Half of the area was underwater. When I first came out of the well hole there were three small flying black ship things that opened fire at me. I ducked under something and waiting for the ship things to pass. They dissapeared through a hole in a wall high above me. I came out of my hiding spot and looked down and saw some passageways under the water. I dived into the water and tried to reach the them but I was pushed to the other side of the dungeon by a strong current. I pulled myself up onto a ledge and saw some other people attempting to reach the underwater tunnels as well, but they seemed to be having the same problems as I. The dream gets fuzzy here. There was something to do with a competetion between the other swimmers and I and something about those dark ships coming back but I cannot really remember the rest. I do not recall if I, or anyone else, ever made it out of there.
