    1. 03/22/12 Pyramid in Lames WILD

by , 03-24-2012 at 04:45 AM (Cities in the Astral)
LD35:This LD went on for awhile and hadd many little parts. The control was good and very high level of lucid. The graphics looked very cartoon like. The back ground would stay blank like the Matrix Training Room. Only what I focused on formed clear images. I started as soon as I could feel my dream body, by walking in the blank space. I waited until it really felt like walking and did a stablization. A new part of my routine is to call out loud "Thank You" I could sense the words and feel me calling out, but I had no sounds so it was a silent scream. I repeated this a couple times before the dream was over and the sound improved some. I don't have time to go into fine detail, so I will just cover some high points. There was no plot, I just got to screw around and have fun. I walked alot trying to prompt the graphics to become realistic. Trees and house blurred on the side of my vision now, so it seems like I am read for a good WILD. I decide a resteraunt is right here and a buffet must be here. Yep here is the buffet. I try to smell things but it is vauge. I ate a creams puff with strawberry filling. The taste lacked sweetness, it was kind of bland but not bad.
At one point I tried to summon a flying horse and one appeared but he was hallucinaton twisted, a horseish blur beast. Cool, but I wont count that, it clearly is only a poorly formed horse, sorry buddy. I fly on the horse and we do stunts for a while.
At one point I just stand around summoning dishes and random things and manipulating the in the air with TK. I messed around until I decided to try flying to the moon. I try to stare at the moon but it is all blurry and shifting (like someone would see on 10 hits of acid). I had spaced out the horse so I flew towards the blur of a moon in a supper man style. I basically flew from one scene to another of getting higher and the the scenes became space. I did some stunt flying and when the time came I landed onthe moon.
A whole little section goes on here basedon pools full of colors and it starts geetting very abstrract and I need to stablize. This time I call out thank you from the moon.
I decide to go and teleport down to the top of the great pyamid. I formed a crazy plan, just to see if I could do it. I blasted energy down the pyrramid and it bust into flames, me included. Covered with flames I floated up and called forth "Thank You" about 12 times. Then I woke up. Dur~20min

      Sync, (Bicycle wheel)

Woke out of lots of nice, (nonlucid) dreams but the end of one synched with my waking life.

I was riding a bicycle. I stopped and looked down at my wheels. the frontwheel tire was ok but my backwheel tire needed air.

A couple of hours after waking I went for a walk and noticed a man walking carrying a bicycle wheel.

    3. MP3 Dream Log

      by , 03-24-2012 at 02:47 AM
I developed this small application as a lucid dreaming aid. As you know, you need to keep a dream journal to avoid forgetting your dreams as soon as you wake up. But, when you’re tired, it’s a hassle to turn on the light, find the pen, and write the journal. A laptop is no better, all that bright light makes it hard to go back to sleep. With this application you just hold down the space bar and talk into the microphone. When you’re done, release space bar. An MP3 file is created in the “entries” folder, containing your verbal description of the dream. Every time space is pressed, a new file is created. Just leave the laptop near your bed with a microphone plugged in and you’re good to go.

Let me know if this is helpful to you, I’d appreciate it.

    4. 3-23-12, Dream notes

      by , 03-24-2012 at 02:31 AM
Last night was a short one, and while I have notes I wrote down, I can not for the life of me remember now what they were about.

Dream One Notes: Skylanders Move (I *think* I dreamed the Skylanders figurines were life sized and moved, pretty much, alive)

Dream Two Notes: Moms house, bad energy, someone sick, cats, storm (I have no idea what all that was about, I can't even hazard a guess except to say if mom was in it, it was probably a nightmare, lol)

    5. 11 year old takes job/disastrous cooking

      by , 03-24-2012 at 02:11 AM
I only had a short kind-of boring and dream last night. Plus it really didn't make sense and felt very 'fuzzy'. I've been ill and I think its affecting my recall

My wife was trying to get a job at a coffee house for some reason but they gave it to her 11 year old brother instead. She was upset and had even proved that she was good at multi tasking by walking our two dogs and talking to the coffee shop owner at the same time so apparently thought she'd got the job in the bag...

Her brother rang up and was excited about his new job but was explaining that people felt they could push him around because of his age. When he was explaining what happened on his first day I could see him at the shop and then could see him walking around his house on the phone even though I was at my house the whole time.

My sister in law and her boyfriend had come round to visit and I noticed that her bf had cut his hair-which is usually dark brown and curly. It was now a mohawk, straight and mousy brown. I thought it was very out of character.

I decided to make my wife a chocolate biscuity pudding with chocolate sauce to cheer her up about not getting the job. I was going to mix melted chocolate with biscuits and then mix chocolate with golden syrup for the sauce. I tried to use a bar of chocolate as a plate to melt another bar of chocolate on until I realised that both bars would melt in the microwave. Then I woke up...

    6. A tale of 3 Nicks

      by , 03-24-2012 at 12:37 AM
I' having my first period class. We are in some huge cafeteria instead of our usual classroom. The lights are dimmed a little bit and there is a stage at the front of the cafeteria. The group I usually sit with is sitting together but since the tables were sourrounding us and we had nothing better to do we sit in a group and just chill. The first Nick is the cool Nick. He is sitting there, most likely stoned and shouts my name. Their is another Nick sitting behind me. He has been the bane of my existence since middle school. He is just sitting there with that menacing look on his face. He doesn't say anything to me and I don't say anything to him. Cool Nick thinks he's cool, but then again he's probably high. This other girl is sitting diagonal from me. She asks me if it's cool for her to go out with this third Nick. This one I have mixed feelings about, he can be cool but he sometimes can be a dick. I say it's cool. Earlier in the class my teacher makes an announcement to the class about how we need to finish our work. He then turns to my circle and says especially this row.

Throughout the dream their was Heroin references aswell.

    7. Vividness Is An Illusion

      by , 03-24-2012 at 12:31 AM
I had a dream before and after this one, but I was too lazy to write them down. They're not important, anyway.... I spent like eight hours helping a friend do yard work immediately after getting up so I don't remember much of this dream other than what I wrote down, but what's really important to me is what happened at the end....

      Vividness Is An Illusion [DILD]

So first, the part of the dream I just barely remember. It was another high school dream, and there was some plot going on about some girl who wanted to kill us all and expected me to play along with it. (I don't remember this in the slightest, it's just from the notes). There was lots of really trippy stuff going on though, like when I was in a hallway and couldn't figure out which way to go, I looked at a wall and saw this guy J's face attached to the wall smiling this creepy smile and tilted sideways in the correct direction, so I smiled back and walked that way. Also, I remember being in a class and seeing my cat walking around, and people wanted me to follow them so I told them to hold up while I put my cat away. I picked up my backpack and unzipped the center area to put him in, but when I looked inside there was another cat already in there, and he looked like he was starving. I said "Oh shit! I must have put this other cat in here already and forgot about him, my bad.", then just left them both there and walked off. Anyway, so the girl that was trying to kill us wanted me to do something, but I didn't fall for her trap this time. I became very mildly lucid and just flew up, phasing through the higher floors, until I was over the building. I was just trying to get away from the girl and didn't really have any goals in mind, so from high up I just watched some kids playing soccer in the distance until I woke up.

This is where it got interesting for me. I'm no longer confused about the last time I woke up and was still dreaming but everything was SO real, including detail I hadn't actually seen before, and I even was pretty sure I was awake at first but then lost focus, in a way that false awakenings don't. That and this were hypnopompic hallucinations. So I woke up in bed, facing the wall. It was pretty dark still, but then suddenly I heard a guy talking extremely clearly and there was sounds of cheering on a TV. I didn't see either one, but I immediately got mental images, the voice was coming from a heavyset black man and the TV (which was not actually on) was showing some soccer game. Unlike the last time where I was asked by a hallucinated M if I was up and I responded "I think I'm awake....", but then forgot about it when I started listening to her, this time I knew exactly what was going on. I started mentally repeating to myself "It's a hallucination, it's a hallucination...." I got a very clear image of what was going on in the soccer game too, there were no players at all, just several soccer balls of different sizes. They were moving in strange trajectories one at a time until they hit the next one and caused it to roll, sort of like dominoes causing each other to fall over. The man was talking about the game, though I can't remember what he was saying now, it was all rather startling and I wasn't paying much attention, not to mention my short-term memory was still pretty terrible. Eventually though he started just saying complete gibberish words, and I knew the hallucination was falling apart. I took a leap of faith and quickly turned over to see if he was there, but the room was empty. All the sounds vanished, and I felt very dissociated for a second, and then I returned to full waking consciousness. There was no feeling of waking up because I was already awake, just sort of a transitional blip.

Basically what I can say about this is... it made me realize how much we fool ourselves into thinking that regular lucid dreams are vivid. I'm sure they can be made extremely vivid like this, but they're still nowhere near as vivid as waking life. My most realistic dream, which I previously would have said was possibly even more vivid than reality, now just seems like a hallucination compared to this. Senses like hearing and sight can definitely be waaay up there in dreams, the amount of detail in specific objects can definitely match reality, but there's so much more that just isn't present in dreams. In waking life your brain constantly monitors your heart rate, breathing rate, the position of each of your limbs and how comfortable they are, what temperature you are in various parts of your body, whether you have any itches, if you're hungry, thirsty, bloated, sweaty, physically nervous.... All five of your senses are constantly at work at full vividness, your brain knows that it has to keep itself aware of EVERYTHING in your line of sight and peripherals, not just what you're focusing on, it has stay aware of even the slightest sounds or changes in taste or smell or feeling. Basically, in waking life, your brain knows it can't just let loose like it can in dreams. Together these make for soooo much detail missing in dreams unless you're specifically focused on it, it's ridiculous. The reason we can feel like dreams are so vivid is because we don't normally consciously think about this stuff, and in dreams it's hard to remember what it's like to be in the waking world anyway, but this vividness is an illusion. Even when you're on drugs and awake and hallucinating in reality, they have a dreamy feeling to them and you often lose track of some of these sensations. This was different. I was in reality, totally hallucinating, and totally lucid. This feeling of knowing you're in a dream while being in the waking world was mind-blowing, at least to me. This is something I won't soon be forgetting. I wonder how much work it could take, what level of awareness would be required, to recreate sensations this powerful in dreams....
    8. White Planet - Meldoras [Updated 5-5-2012]

by , 03-23-2012 at 10:54 PM (Chronicles of the Cosmos)
After I awoke from the failed lucid this morning, I got up, went to the restroom (as usual), drunk some cold water, turned the fan up to medium, and went back to bed. It was 6 A.M.

First thing I remember is flying through space and looking towards a cluster of stars. Then I thought about being there. Now, I'm in front of a white planet called Meldoras [Updated 5-5-2012]. I've never seen one of those before. I'm not sure if it was all white because of the clouds or not but it was pretty.

Next thing I know, I'm on this white planet and I'm the member of a black family. My family and I were sitting at a table eating food. I don't know if I was a guy or girl but I was a whole lot smaller than what I am in real life and very slim. I was definitely somebody else. It was me and about three guys. The really big, fat guy I definitely remember.

I recall after we ate, we cleared the table, but the big guy was still hungry. I went with him to another room where we kept food stocks--we had a lot of food.... He was looking at packages of rice and pulled one out. It was oddly shaped--like the rectangle packs of bread you buy at any convenience store, except the rice packaging was white. And it had "Rice" written on the bottom. Interesting.

I also had a conversation with the skinny guy. I had no idea what his name was, lol. We were standing in the kitchen by the table which was now cleared of plates and food. We, or rather I was talking about E.T. Go figure. I said "Yeah, they're definitely here. Although, they'd prefer to stay out of the spotlight." And he was like "You believe in aliens?" And I said "Yeah. When you die, then you'll believe me. You'll see. And don't you ever forgot that I told you so." Don't know why, but he was about to start crying. Guy must've been something like 40 years old.

We decided to go shopping. I think the big guy requested it. We, uh, we took an elevator to the surface.... Hmm. An elevator? And as we walked out of the building, I turned around and looked at it. I thought that that building looked like a court house at first, then realized that it looked EXACTLY like the Roman Pantheon! And there were really high brick walls on both sides of the Pantheon. I did look up at the sky but I don't recall it being all white but I knew I was on the white planet. The sky was blue with clouds just like Earth. The sun caught my attention though. It looked strange.

      The White Planet - Meldoras

This is an excellent example of what the planet I saw looked like.

      The Roman Pantheon

This was one of the many Earth-type planets. As we were walking to the shopping mall, I remember seeing a police car, but it didn't have "police" written on it--it said something else. The street was narrow and there were tons and tons of buildings on either side as far as the eye could see. Next thing I know, I'm holding up a McDonalds bag and I'm staring at it. "Wow!" I thought. This isn't the Earth I'm from, however, they also have McDonalds. The design was VERY similar to McDonalds but it wasn't McDonalds. The logo on the bag looked exactly like this:

Large B, strange symbol, large W on the bag.

      Shopping Mall

Now, I'm we're in the mall...... And this place is so freakishly huge, I can not see the end of the isle and there doesn't appear to be an end to either direction. The ceiling was far up there. I mean far.... Somehow I got a good look from high above while we were walking; it was as if I left my body and flew around the place. There were shelves full of food as far as the eye could see and here we were pushing a single, normal sized cart. It was packed to the rim with food though, haha.... I woke up and it was 7:05 A.M.

    9. Failed Lucid! Darn it!

by , 03-23-2012 at 10:10 PM (Chronicles of the Cosmos)
Had a dream last night where I was floating around a construction site of sorts, then I went lucid. I said "this is a dream." Then I tried to descend so that I could sit on the ground. Afterwards, I had planned to call out to my dream guide and have them sit in front of me. I figured this way it'll be easier to stay lucid. But like I said, that was the plan. Somehow I slipped out of the dream state and woke up. I think I woke up because it was hot and I was sweating. Meh.

And here I had my questions all lined up. I knew exactly what I was going to ask that old bag if she decided to show up again. Man.

    11. Dragon transformation attempt

      by , 03-23-2012 at 07:25 PM (Taffy's Sweet Dreams)
I was in the backyard. We still had the old pool and my brother was swimming in it. I realized I was dreaming and did the nose plug RC. I tried transforming into a dragon. I threw back my hands and looked up into the sky, trying to feel wings coming out from my back, and sure enough, they did. I dropped to the floor and felt my legs tighten and my face elongated. But I can't remember if I ever fully finished, because I asked my brother if he could transport me to an empty place I could mess around in. By then I'm pretty sure the shapeshift wore off. Anyway, he said he couldn't, so I just flew around as regular me for a while, landing on some wires above, until I woke up.

    12. Late, Lost and alone!

      by , 03-23-2012 at 05:51 PM
First entry on one of these things, so here it goes!

I started in a waiting room thing at an airport with this girl who i used to be friends with, we shall call her "S", until she fucked me over for this guy, we can call him "J", but we were waiting for this plane, our flight was called, but i couldn't find my ticket, passport or anything, so she went ahead and i said i would catch her up, but i couldn't find it anywhere, after a lot of opening bags and cases i found my passport but not my ticket, got to the gate, and she said i needed to buy a new ticket, i turned around to see S sat on the plane with J just as it was pulling away going to take off, so yeah she fucked me over again.

so there it is! i often get dreams when im late, or have lost something? very odd, but PLEASE leave your opinions of this dream in the comments

    13. Bleeding Effect

      by , 03-23-2012 at 05:40 PM (DC's Dream Journal)
I had a really scary FA, where I was really awake, and I could see things! I'm in a room that isnt my own (i didnt notice until later) this ghoulish figure was moaning and leaned over like a slouch. His eyes glowing slightly greenish yellow.. He kinda looked like my brother. Anyway the First time i noticed him i told him to go away, he did - then he'd keep coming back... I could barely say "go away" I managed to get my leg out of my bed to kick him. My foot hit the wall and i hurt my foot - that was when the dream was replaced by my real room..

Getting shivers just writing this! Was this some sort of hallucination?

Took a trip to Hawaii with my Tongan friends xD as we were leaving the hotel I was playing the guitar. The ending theme to Spongebob Square pants. Woke up with the melody still playing in my head. How nice

Now only if I had a guitar to play with...

I haven't been lucid yet, but I am starting to remember my dreams.
    15. Hospital flowers

      by , 03-23-2012 at 04:30 PM (Ruesia's Dream Journal)
Dreamt on night of 3/21/12. Two part dream

Im in a city- it looks like East LA or Brooklyn type. Sitting on cement steps in front of a hospital. M is in there. He did something stupid to get there, not sure what. My coworkers are sitting there with me, but they're my friends- they're there with me to support me. They're joking around and I am irritated because of M's predicament.

      ---

I am on a property somewhere-- near the foothills. There are a lot of trees. It is dry and in the earlier morning, maybe 7 am. The sun is just starting to filter through the treeline. There is a group of people. We are all being ushered through these buildings, through these rooms. They are open rooms- its like a tradeshow with a big covered platform overhead. Like covered arenas.

As we're walking, the boy/man next to me starts to talk to me. I ignore him. I'm just here for the event. He continues talking to me. He is mesmerized by me. I am irritated with him. He is younger and seems foolish. He is scrawny, not very muscular. He has dark hair and dark eyes. I've never seen anyone that looked like him before. He reminds me of an adolescent without any clear idea of what life is about.

As we're walking along, we enter a room and there's a booth. You fill out a slip of paper- maybe you'll win a prize. This boy tries to kiss me. The vendor lady, an older woman, laughs and sighs as if she knows how this goes. I am appalled that this stranger kissed me and I try to get away from him, hide myself in the line. But its no good.

A few hours have passed. Everyone is milling in a dining area. There's a live band. The tables and chairs are a dark, stained oak. The room is elegant with tall windows that stretch the length of the wall with very tall ceilings. There are beautiful flower arrangements on the table. The walls are dark. It reminds of a stuffy, formal affair. Not my taste.

The table I'm sitting at has only one other chair left (there should have been maybe 5 or 6), and then someone asks if they can take it. I'm all alone at my table. I see the boy/man walk in to the room. He sees me. I try to avoid his eyes, but I am slightly glad to see him. Everyone else has been ignoring me, refusing to sit near me. At least he is nice.

Everyone is listening to the music. The boy motions for me to come outside with him. The crowd is making me nervous anyways so I do. We walk out under the covered arena. The boy tells me how in love with me he is. Asks me what he can do to make me love him. I don't know what to say. I already have another love. I am happy. But I am alone now, and feeling very vulnerable. I hug the boy and he hugs me back-- he is so happy.

The time has passed. I haven't seen the boy in awhile. I am sad. I come looking for him. Other people are looking for him. They're mad at him. And I know why.

I find him first, scream for him to run away. He sees me and his face is dark. He is sad. He isn't happy. The light isn't in his eyes. He comes to me and I feel the weight in his shoulders as I grab him before he falls.

We're in a dark room together. There are medical supplies on the table. There is our baby. But its an alien of sorts-- the torso is human, but the lower part of its body is a thick, dark tail that resembles a grub. The boy is sad. The doctors tried to perform surgery to help the infant-- they even tried to take the slug-like tail off, but it was too late. The infant died. I am sad but the boy is sadder. This is his baby, more than it is mine. Post-mortem, he cuts down the tail and it reveals two fragile little legs-- the baby looks normal. He is overcome with grief. We sit there and I am not sure what to do. I am not feeling the sadness he is. But I feel sadness for him, and somehow for our child.

But there is hope. A nurse brings in two more hatchlings. I guess that's what they are, because I did not give birth to them. I don't even remember conceiving them (at least not in my dream). I see hope in the boys eye as he carefully picks up one of the babies. I watch the nurse grab the other. These are not normal sized infants-- they are the size of a newborn puppy. You could hold them in your cupped hands.

They both grab scalpels, to cut away the grub tail. I am nervous-- I know that if we keep the tail intact, the baby will die eventually. But if we try to remove it, the baby might die immediately. I almost turn away as they begin. I am apprehensive.

They both begin making the incision. Because the tail is superficial (not needed) it does not bleed. It is almost like a cocoon, but it won't be removed on its own, we need to help. Its just knowing where to cut.

The boy nearly collapses and I hear air escape him. I fear the worst and rush to his side. He is leaning over the table, his head down. He is crying. I rest my hands on his shoulders, I try to comfort him. But then I see the infant squirming, its legs free of the tail. I am ecstatic. I hug the boy and he turns and hugs me. He is crying tears of joy.

I then hear the nurse exclaim. We both turn and she is holding up the other baby-- she is alive too. Her legs are squirming. They look weak and aren't as healthy as her upper body, but she's alive. BOTH are alive. I realize the other baby is a boy and I continue to hug their father. It wasn't what I expected or wanted, but I am happy that we are alive and that he is happy. I look forward to being with him-- I realize how happy he makes me.
