      I dream that I am living with a family in an apartment on top of a big theatre/convention center. I exit the apartment and explore the theatre where everyone working there applauds for me; doormen, wardrobe workers, visitors, etc. my German family is there as well as it takes place im Berlin, It's raining and I start sprinting around the building in laps at a decent tempo, during each lap, someone joins me and we greet each other as we go around, during each lap they all grow and develop, for example one of the guys does the sprint on a unicycle. In the meantime, I'm still the same. Someone asks about my growth and then says it because they're following my journey as a rockstar. The music in the background then has someone grunt in metal style saying "that is a rockstar" as well as inaudible words repeatedly with a guitar riff in the background as some sort of intro. That's when I woke up!
    2. Running myself awake

      This happened some months ago. I went lucid due to some thing I was reacting to in the dream, and I knew that I could get away from whatever it was by running. Bursting into a sprint while focused so hard on accelerating, my legs actually moved in real life. I woke up mostly because of it and lost the dream.

      The mental effort I exerted in my dream forced my physical legs to move because it was so great. It overcame the natural mode of sleep paralysis that my body was in. Awesome! Well that is what I'm going to go with since that seems to be the simplest explanation.

    3. Runnng Hard!

      In this lucid dream, I was able to run super fast. It started in a park where I was walking along with some other people. There was a stream coming off a hill, as from a spring. It was nice there as it flowed down the gently sloping rock face & meandered along next to the sidewalk a ways. The dream was becoming more vivid for me and I felt like going for a run. I started off at a brisk jog, but then soon sped up to what would be an all out sprint in real life, but going in excess of 20 mph. I was able to keep up this mind numbing pace for several miles, maybe 3 to 5 miles, without even getting winded. The normal signs of running were not there, my heart didn't beat any faster, nor did I need to breathe any harder. It was like I could run forever and not tire, but I did stop eventually as the thrill of it waned. As I ran I passed several people on the walkway, even people on bicycles. No one shall catch up to me, even if anyone was even trying.

      It was a false awakening. I noticed it was a dream because everything had a much starker contrast. It was dark but the night sky was this impossible cartoon shade of dark purple-blue. I was compelled to run. I was lucid and I was excited. This immediately put intense strain on the whole dream and I could feel my blankets on my chest. I grasped at a banister by the stairs and rubbed it to stay in control. I knew it wouldn't last so my first instincts were to start sprinting outside so that I could enjoy my lucid before it snapped. As I ran into the large living room/kitchen area in my house, I could feel the dream slipping again and I sprinted towards the window above the sink in an attempt jump out. I remember jumping at it, noting the odd shade of the sky. But before I made contact with the glass, I could feel the blanket on me again an I woke.

      A shame.
    5. Sprinting

      It took long enough, but I finally managed to complete my goal to run real fast without destabilizing the dream.

      It started off with me being in a small shack. This building was tiny, probably only five by five feet, and made from strips of wood tiled vertically. There was practically no room to move around in because there were old desks and chairs shoved against the walls. I exited rather quickly to see the outside of the shack. The roof was ready to collapse and looked like it was made from really decayed metal. It sort of looked like the following picture, minus the snow and trees.


      The shack was on the side of a beautiful light gravel road, lodged somewhere in the mountains with many trees, like the picture below.


      However, the trees were curving over the road and blotting out most of the sky. The scenery still looked very pretty though. I spent some time looking around, and even went to one tree right next to the shack to look at an ant... But I gained lucidity, so I stopped wasting my time looking at bugs. I remembered my dream goal almost immediately. "I should try running again," I said out loud. I'd already failed once, so I was itching to complete this goal. "There's a good pathway... this might help me."

      I broke into a light sprint and the trees began to tremble slightly; a few small leaves were falling off them. I leaned forward more and imagined myself rocketing forward. It worked, and I was now going very, very fast. To be safe, I didn't even consider the fact that the dream could destabilize, even though the imagery around me was becoming stretched like taffy. I stopped, closed my eyes for a second, and opened them.
      I was in the shack again without lucidity.
