      Non-dream stuff - Woke up around 10:00, with one non-lucid sort of fresh in memory but all the detail quickly went away on waking, somehow.



      Dream fragment:
      This was from the end of the dream.

      Game-like reality; "playing" with someone else in a co-operative mode and in some underground sand or clay tunnels or something.

      The tunnels lead into a big chamber, dark. There was some sort of well at the centre. A stone colossus came towards us from the opposite side of the room and we backtracked a bit. In the dream I remember telling the other person the colossus was made of obsidian and we wouldn't be able to attack it in this form and that it would turn into black steel for a few minutes at a time every so often and we'd have to try and attack then...

      The colossus came into the tunnels/halls but I ended up darting past and into the chamber with the well; I jumped into the well, partly by accident as I meant to go across the room where there seemed to be a portal or some brightness. It was completely dark underwater and I soon "died" in a game-like fashion.

      The view changed and the camera panned out; I could hear a boss give a monologue which I don't remember in any detail, and I partly remember him asking "how did you get here? vaulted over the walls? exploited some location?" and other questions to that effect.



      Couple of notes:
      • The dream location and situation here at the end reminded me of the game Necropolis.
      • The stone colossus was similar to Anubisath, a boss in the original World of Warcraft.

    2. life aint no groak

      D1 - There was a creature that did not need human comforts, it moved out of the house where it had been as a human. It now lived in a hollowed out tree, surviving on things left on the tree floor. It was very cold and dark but it did not care. It just existed. Children came to the tree and it did not mind or pay them attention.
      It went to work and carried out its duties with minimal interaction with others their and was able to dupe them into thinking it was a human.
      The creature reminded me of the groak from the moomins.

      D2 - At college sitting outside with a group of others, a girl is tuning up her guitar. A string is broken. It is a steel length with barbs on it. I offer to fix it and use my powers to melt and then stretch it back to normal.

      D3 - Taking my daughter (when little) to a cinema to see a film. The cinema is on two floors and is very stark, qrey concrete walls. I buy tickets only to find the picture is not on, as the projector is not working. People are occupying themselves by eating in an upstairs resteraunt or drawing on the large screen with is not in use.
      Eventually the film is back on but it is not the right film, no one cares as it is a children's film and pretty much the same. But I know my daughter will care and try to get a refund. I cannot however find my receipt or remember if I did infact purchase a ticket.

      D4 - Some of the college students from the earlier dream are having a car race, the car is multicoloured with slogans all over it, mostly green thougth. We are in last place with the other cars infront bunched up. I use my powers to fix the car in time to speed ahead and win at the last moment.
      In the student bar after their is a guy who was on the other team. I am concerned he will pick a fight with our team leader, so I invite him to sit with me at a table, away from the others. I then will be able to use my powers on him if he tries anything.
      I ask fi who is there if she will hold my hand, I use my powers and when we hold hands it does a glowy red thing.

      I feel I have been living a life with no joy. Fairly bleak like the groak.
    3. Dream Journal Entry 12: One dream or four fragments? -04-20-2013-

      I'm not certain if this was one dream, or several shorter dreams/fragments. They seem to be somewhat related.

      Part 1: I was playing Super Smash Bros. Brawl, with several of my friends. We got to the character select screen, which was a mess. There were many characters missing, and many characters that didn't belong, though I can't quite remember who. There were two Meta Knights, for one - I selected the second, and picked a bizarre-looking costume that looked like it had a o_O face on it. The game started, and my character looked like Kirby, except he had similar moves to Meta Knight. I hit B, and it looked like I was just Kirby with the Tornado power.

      The game ended, and my friends just vanished - I started looking at several of the other characters. Selecting them had odd effects - selecting Link had the game say Zelda, selecting the one next to Link had it say Mewtwo. Going over to Samus, it was automatically in Zero Suit, though in a slightly different pose, and I could switch to a "Dark Samus" costume which was nearly identical, save for the facial expression and a much lighter skin tone. I went over to Ganondorf, though the name displayed was "LEAVE." I started a game, with no other players, and it ended.

      Part 2: False awakening. I got up, and found myself looking at a completed dream journal. Elements from the previous dream were present, including the odd names and such. It mentioned something about a modded game, and the G-Man from Half-Life.

      Part 3: I was outside, on my driveway. There were several friends of mine present. There was also a roughly 3x3 foot piece of sheet metal - presumably 16gauge steel. I picked it up, and simply snapped it into three equally-sized 2x1 pieces and one 2x2 piece. One of my friends came over, and said something about needing it, so I dropped it. I walked over to the other end of the driveway.

      Part 4: I was on YouTube. My inbox mentioned comments - I clicked to view the video in question, and it was a video of part 3, from my perspective. The comment was something along the lines of "I'm impressed - my friends Colonel Ans and General Angus know that's a difficult way to" - and I cannot remember the rest.
    4. Metal Monsters

      ( a few nights ago)

      MoSh and I are metal monsters with lots of teeth. We are battling each other, training, on Teraluna.

      We smash our bodies into each other.

      [I]We are brothers
      We are Others
      We walk the walls of madness
      we know love, and we know sadness

      we wander through ancient lands
      reclaim the weapons of our ancient hands

      "Now forth to battle!" Mosh-dragon says.

      We fly to war. Our enemies have all kinds of technology, but we are made of pure steel. Fuck them.

      We are in a huge battle. One side is planes, tanks, helicopters. The other is creatures of myth and legend.

      I multiply myself, and roar, "WE ARE NOTHING!"

      Black holes appear in my chests, and my allies toss our enemies into my chest portals.

      I go back into one.

      We cheer. I pass out on the battlefield.

      Mosh: WTF

      Me: I'm tired.
    5. The Steel Pyroball

      Notes:
      Another awesome, higher-level lucid, but again I managed to completely forget about my dream goals. Although I did have fun with a fire/steel ball.
      I was in an airplane. However, this airplane was very spacious; the ceiling was at least twice as high as that of a normal airplane, and it was at least three times as wide. The flooring was hardwood and the seats were against the left and right side of the plane, facing towards the middle, which left a lot of space in the center for people to get up and walk around (the individual seats themselves were identical to those in a real airplane). The inside walls were the same, too: slightly beveled and off-white, with tiny rounded windows.

      The airplane was about forty feet long. One end of it just became a wall, but the other end was rather bizarre: it turned into a balcony that overlooked the inside of a house, more specifically the first floor. The square tiling of the lower level's floor was shiny, golden-colored. There was a set of stairs just wide enough for two people to walk down simultaneously, and it went straight down into a large room with the same gold tile flooring. I walked around for a bit and looked down the stairs. [B]I turned around again and suddenly became lucid. I walked towards the left side of the plane, to where a bunch of chairs were lined up against the wall, and looked out one of the small windows between the spaces of the chairs.

      Outside there were clouds and sky. The scenery had changed from the plane being a part of a house to it actually being in the air. I turned around and the plane was sealed up, no more house or stairs. I saw a curtain closed on that end, pale, darker maroon like some airplanes have up near the front to divide the passengers off from the captain's quarters. Then I looked back towards the chairs and backed up a bit, against the wall. I held my hand out, cupping it slightly, and expected a ball of fire to appear.

      I didn't get a ball of fire. Instead, I got an intricate ball made of flat steel triangle links. All the links were curling around each other and interlocking to form a steel ball. It looked like one of those three-dimensional puzzles that challenged the person to try taking it apart and putting it back together. At first it was tiny, but as it grew to the size of an apple within seconds, I could see the shape of the links better. I then envisioned fire appearing around it, and it did. It was a sort of fiery film that looked realistic, but trapped within an invisible sphere surrounding the links. The fire wouldn't come outwards. I pulled my hand back and shot the ball at the wall of the airplane, but as it flew straight through the air (not arcing like a ball), it grew smaller and smaller until it disappeared entirely. "Crap," I said, because I hoped it would have blasted a part of the plane. I didn't "expect" it to destroy part of the plane or visualize it, though, so that was probably why it didn't work.

      Then the dream faded away. I ended up having a false awakening where I attempted a DEILD, and I became stuck in what I believed was intense sleep paralysis. My eyes were closed, but I could somehow still see, and I felt like someone was typing with their fingers on my right arm, which was dropped over the edge of the bed. I changed my breathing pattern, hoping to escape the "sleep paralysis", and then I woke up for real in a completely different position, which confirmed I had really just been dreaming.
