    1. Gypsies and School...

      Lucid
      Non-Lucid
      ----------
I was sitting in class at school when I randomly stood up and went outside to the primary school eating area. The sky was overcast, it looked like it was about to rain. My friend was sitting on one of the seats there looking lonely. I ran up to her and hugged her and we acted like we hadn't seen each other in months. We talked about random things for a while and I knew that I should really have been getting back to class. Miss R walked past every so often and was looking at us strangely. I decided to go to the office and pretend I had a fever and didn't feel well. They didn't really care so I went back out and stayed with my friend. Then my other friend came along and asked why we weren't in class. I told her I was looking after the friend I was sitting with. My friend decided to join us and all three of us sat and chatted for the rest of the dream.
      ----------
It was nighttime and I was outside holding my violin. Some gypsy music was playing in the distance and around me were people heading towards it. There were canvas tents around me and lamps lit by flames lighted the area. I ducked into one of the tents and found my violin teacher putting on earrings in a full-body mirror. I smiled and went to my case to put away my violin. My violin teacher's daughter was there as well and she gave me a hug. Immediately my violin teacher asked her about it. "Why did you give her a hug and say hello? You never do that," my violin teacher commented. Her daughter shrugged and I finished putting away my violin.
*Sigh* Will I ever have a lucid dream again?

    2. First DEILD

      by , 09-06-2010 at 08:40 AM
Tonight I had my first DEILD,

      Dream before:
I was at work when I went into another room which I didn't new existed at all, this room had alot of machinary in it. One of the machines had a flute on it like the ones on steam engines, and there was coming steam out of it, I was walking underneath this stream of steam just hoping to not get burned when suddenly I was forced to the ground and couldn't move at all.
I yelled for help just before "waking up" into SP (I woke up half but enough to become aware, I had this a few times before, but I never succesfully entered another dream.)

      Transition:
The transition was the weird sensation of sinking in my bed, I had this a few times before so I didn't get too excited like the last times. I wanted to visualize my room but this didn't work, then all of a sudden I saw the ceiling of my room while I knew my eyes were still closed.

      My dream after:
Looking at the ceiling the dream was still very weak, I rubbed my hands togheter to try and stabilize it, but it didn't work too well. But then I realized there was this glasses on my head which blurred my vision, when I put off these glasses my dream became instantly vivid, but my room was still very dark. I decided to search the light button and turn it on, walking to the light button was still kind of hard because the dream had became more weak again. When I finally succeeded at turning the light on my room wasn't my room anymore. It had became a white room with a lot of lights, the walls were white and there was a white clock. This instantly increased the vividness of my dream, There also was a mirror, and when I looked into the mirror I saw myself when I was 10 years old. I decided to look around some more in the room and this is where I woke up.

      I Just Wanted a Drink. . . (DEILD)
      ★★★★☆
      NON-DREAM DREAM LUCID

As I fall asleep, I hold onto the waking world using the annoying pop music blaring through my closed window. Stupid freshman events. . .

      A forest. I need to form a forest. . .

Blackness surrounds me as I make the transition.

Green leaves swirl about my vision as I spin and fall into the dream. When everything solidifies, I find myself in a location filled with buildings like the ones you'd find on any college campus. Not enough trees. The tavern and the town are in the middle of the woods. Not satisfied with my surroundings I quickly level most of the buildings around me with a thought, and push the remains underground, replacing the plots with dirt and grass. In a similar fashion, I pull hundreds of trees from beneath the ground to the surface, shooting mounds of dirt high into the air.

Better, I think, This place still needs a river. Still using nothing but the power of my will, I bevel a long stretch of winding earth, snaking it around trees and near the few remaining buildings. As soon as I finish with that, I pull enough water up to create a decent sized river, and set everything in motion. That's good enough for me.

Walking through my creation, I try to recall Nomad's tasks. I can only remember the one about the Hoppy Brains Tavern, so I figure I'll start there. After walking a good distance I come across a very upscale building, with a fancy HB crafted in the open metal gate and metal sign hanging over the door. While my logical self told me this was not the place, something deeper--perhaps my character--was telling me this is where I needed to be.

In front of the door was a female hostess in a simple, white, long-sleeve shirt and black slacks. She stops me, asking if I had made a reservation. I do what my character would do and tell her the truth. Disappointed I wouldn't be getting that drink, I head off the property as the dream starts to collapse around me. . .

      DEILD.

Back in the forest I had created, I find myself next to a large lake. Someone behind me gets my attention. Turning, I draw my blade from my side. Sure enough, it's another Shinigami, but his robes, although of traditional make, are white--definitely not standard uniform. He grins broadly, in an almost friendly manner, Zanpaktou in hand. In a flash, we cover the distance between us, crossing blades. My view cuts out, showing the two of us, and the glaring disparity between our uniforms. Sharp metal sparks brightly as the two of us clash. Our movements are so precise and coordinated, that neither of us can get an edge. To the untrained eye, we appear to be equals. . .

Standing on the edge of a cliff, overlooking the lake, Nomad is chastising me for the fight. He tells me that it's hard to look those we wish to kill in the eyes, "It's better to tear the baby from its mother's arms and immediately throw it off the edge of the cliff than it is to look at its face first." I think back to the fight with the mysterious stranger. I certainly didn't mean to kill him. Our fight, if you can even call it that, was more a friendly hello than anything else. Perhaps this was a person my character knew long ago. He definitely felt familiar. . .

"There are lessons you need to be taught." Nomad states bluntly.

      "Who's going to teach me?"

"You'll find out," he says as he strikes me, hard, launching me from the cliff. Dropping through the air, I resist the instinct to fly, and instead prepare for whatever lies beneath the surface.

Crashing into the still waters, I can't help thinking about sharks, so what do I have the pleasure of facing down in this murky water as soon as the bubbles clear? Why, a twenty foot great white of course. Staying cool under pressure, I tear my blade from my side and sever its head from its body in one fell motion. Blood permeates through the water as the dead shark sinks out of sight; I sheathe my sword and rise to the surface.

A short while later, two mermaids approach me, and grab my arms. I don't struggle, assuming they're here to take me to my teacher. We reach the center of the lake, and from the depths, rises King Triton, only about 100 times larger, and with a more monstrous body.

His lesson consists of holding me underwater for long periods of time. I cheat and breathe normally, staying calm the whole time. Afterwards, there's a feast at a rather large, golden, banquet table.

Spock gets moody around a couple of girls, and storms off, leaving them for Captain Kirk to woo. Picard was there, too, but not really doing anything interesting.

    4. Dream fragments 9/5/10

      by , 09-06-2010 at 06:26 AM
I don't have time to upload everything now, so I'll post bits so hopefully I'll remember it all tomorrow too.

Flashlights functioning as lightsabers, or lightsabers functioning as lights. I had my own silver lightsaber, but it didn't have a "blade", it just light up like a regular flashlight. White light too. Then I also had another lightsaber too, and this guy took it apart, poored a little bit of this sparkly liquid into it, then closed it, and it lit up better. Then water started to shoot out of it.

I was in a forest, then running through it, and running to a specific place as fast as I could, because it was where my master was last. And I knew he was gone, possibly dead? All I knew was that he wasn't coming back, and so I ran to that spot and he wasn't there. I found the other lightsaber there.

I was inside this small house, it was bright outside, daytime, and golden light shown in. There was a bigscreen tv and a DC friend was there telling me about this multiplayer game, another DC friend in costume (kinda like yugi from yugioh, at least with their hair). I was holding a joystick-type gamepad and I kept receiving instructions on how to play this game. It seemed awesome, never got to play it. In a room near to this living room, I was at a dining room table (much the same room as in real life at my parents house) and about five other guys were at it. I had been in deep thought, thinking that I was at "home" but then traveled back to this place. I had missed being with them, although I didn't say so. The guy sitting at the opposite end of the table asked what was on my mind, but I didn't reply. I was nostalgic, and happy to be here.

I was outside along this road going through a forest at night, leading some fellow campers?/students behind me. There was also another counselor besides myself, and we were leading them somewhere in the beginning of another adventure. I just remember that I was one of the leaders in charge of these students, and it was the first time I was undertaking a experience like this, but I felt confident at the same time.

Those are the parts that stick out to me, although I know there's more.

    5. Randomly Recalled Dreams Part 1

      by , 09-06-2010 at 05:55 AM (cluelesspug's Dream Journal)
These are just dreams of mine that have been recalled without me ever recording them. Sometimes I simply have a dream, forget it, then remember it 2-10 days later. So here's a few of them that I have recalled recently.

      1. I was parachuting (I was actually sitting on a small swing seat with a parachute attached to it) with some friends over a huge grassy field with a mountain a little bit ahead of me. I passed the mountain and saw a huge grassy field and a river. On the other side of the river was a campground. I landed at the campground where an old woman had set up her tent.

      2. I was at a city in the clouds. Everything was...odd. There was a homeless guy that tried to kill me too. At one point in this dream, I got into some pimp's house (his whole house was purple and futuristic looking) and stole his spaceship.

      3. I was swimming around the entrance to Atlantis Airport (yes, the underwater city Atlantis, except it wasn't underwater). My dad was going away for a little bit, so I was told to swim around to the entrace to the city/airport and go up to the food court and get some food.

      4. I was on a roller coaster with one of my friends. We got on and rode it around one time. When we got off we noticed another lane had opened up. This lane dipped into acid during the ride.

    6. Giving a hand at the Olive Oil store.

Giving a hand at the Olive Oil store. (Non-lucid)

      NON-DREAM DREAM LUCID

I slept only six hours. I went to bed late and woke up early. I recalled three fragments.

      Third:

This dream was drawn from old residue and false memories.

I was at the olive oil store. (residue, it has been over a month I do not work there) The store had two identical tasting bars. We had different shaped bottles with different olive oils (false memory) I tasted one. It tasting like olive oil and something else I cannot recall properly, however, it had like sand. I saw the manager, who was not friendly at all. There were different co-workers.

I was walking around the store and I was behind one of these bars. I knew I did not work there, I just went to say hi. The store was very busy and as I was behind a bar, I gave a hand. I wondered if they would even appreciate my voluntarism.

The store closed at 06:00 PM now. I was wondering how they could close so early. The store was in the middle of the country. There was nothing but sand and a few trees outside. It was sunny.

      Missed dream signs:
      - Two tasting bars.
      - Odd bottles.
      - I was "working" there.

What I would have done if lucid:
      - Head for a ToTY.

I slept only six hours. I went to bed late and woke up early. I recalled three fragments.

      Second:

      - I was online.
      - I was scheduling work.
      - I had tons of applicants. My entire profile plus all the work to do had applicants ready to complete it for me.
      - I had almost all done.
      - I was happy.

      Missed dream signs:
      - Havings tons of applicants. I am managing a very hard project and people is not very excited about it.

What I would have done if lucid:
      - Head for a ToTY.

    10. Ah these nights

      by , 09-06-2010 at 05:33 AM
Been analyzing dreams for about a week and I feel I am on the verge of something or the other. I have tried cues to get me to sleep and I think I am changing them up too quickly. I pick runes, grab a notebook, change positions, even change meditation techniques before I go to bed.

My dreams are coming in jolts like misplaced chapters in some crazy book, unknown to me as the big plot. I wake with the most results from about 2-3 am, trying hard to use the MILD but if I fall asleep I never return. Many times I feel that I am grabbing onto the rope of a floating balloon but can never quite reach it. Despite this I sense that I am on the verge of a breakthrough.

I have been reading and I think the eyelid pattern technique will be the one for me this evening. I plan on returning here and journal a few dreams I have been having recently. Of note, dreams have been rather broken up and have had many smaller chapters with the larger chapter happening just before or after 3am. Alas 3am seems to be the wake point for me.

    11. Another Failed Attempt

      by , 09-06-2010 at 05:27 AM
Didn't even have the chanting last night. Could be that I was so exhausted.

All I remember is a guy stabbing another guy. Lots of red blood. Like, bright red. The guy getting stabbed was kind of old, white hair, white beard. Skinny. Resembled Einstein in a way. I had about two other dreams but now I can't remember what they were about. I was going to write them down but got too tired and fell right back to sleep.

As I always say--there's always tonight!

    12. Melatonin doesn't help

by , 09-06-2010 at 04:33 AM (One Must Imagine Sisyphus Happy)
      2 dreams, non-lucid.

I'm with uncle Efren at a water park.

I'm in a theme park. I'm in a small group of people. I don't know who. One guy in the group is carring around Magic: The Gathering cards. I might be drunk and people can smell it on me.
    13. CAN-WILD vs. LaBerge MILD. Suggestion?

by , 09-06-2010 at 04:24 AM (The Mind is Power; My Dream Journal)
So, I'm at an impasse. I've been faithfully DJing, as you can see, for the last 50 days. Nearly two months, now. My ability to recall dreams is much better than it has ever been before. I can say that I have progressed that much, at least. Lately my DJ activity has dipped (in terms of # of dreams per night) but mostly because I've been too lazy/tired to write them down during whenever I wake up. I feel like if I were to read over my entire DJ I'd see that I'm way too scatterbrained in terms of my efforts and attempts at induction techniques. The only thing I've done consistently is DJ and RC during the day. I think it's time for me to quit messing around and finally pick a technique to work on.

So I've strained all of the excess techniques and left my two favorites: The CAN WILD technique, developed on this forum, and the MILD technique by the big man himself, LaBerge.

      Pros of CANWILD:
      -LD at will, essentially.
-Seems like it'd get concrete results quicker.

      Cons of CANWILD:
-Sleep Paralysis. I don't like the idea of the hallucinations. Though my fear of SP may create a self defeating mindset. If I quit fearing it and just rolled with it I may be OK.

      Pros of MILD:
      -No sleep paralysis.
      -Seems more organic.

      Cons of MILD:
-A bit harder to actually do consistently with all of the steps through the day that are required.

      Suggestions?

And my fragment from last night:

I dreamt about this remnant that had been passed down a million different times abs touched a bunch of different times. Each time it got touched the person touching it imparted some sort of detail upon it.

    15. she has big boobs!

      by , 09-06-2010 at 04:17 AM
i remember sitting in civics and economics class. I was with a friend who doesn't actually even go to my school. We were talking about a movie: Requiem for a Dream. There was one scene that showed a woman laying down. In the scene her boobs looked really big. We were talking about it, and for some reason i wrote down what we were saying. I then proceeded to show it to the most annoying person i know (real person). He then proceeded to tell the teacher and get me in trouble. I lost points for my team (we had teams in the class, not real). end of dream.
