    1. The Lucid Dream from Hell!

      by , 08-29-2012 at 05:11 PM
08-16-2012 -- [This was a lucid dream where even knowing I was dreaming and had strange dream powers, I couldn't seem to do anything to make it a good dream. Very depressing, and was asking to die in the dream by the end of it. Miserable.]

In an elevator, going somewhere, but no idea where. I am 3/4 asleep, and can barely open my eyes. Some black lady asks me if I am at my floor, or if I am going back down as she exits the elevator. There are a couple more floors, but back down I go, no clue as to what is going on.

I think I am in a movie theater for a few seconds, then I find myself in a 7-Eleven, thinking about the mystery shop I just did. I took four or five pictures of either the ads or the trailers in the theater, then left. In the very low lighting inside the 7-Eleven (its the middle of the night, and while they are open, they don't want the lighting to disturb people) I am trying to read a newspaper and take a good picture of my ticket stub as a receipt. Problem is, the lighting is just too bad.

I move to some brighter light just by the door, and set my stuff up. I am just about to take the picture, when a bunch of obnoxious kids come in and start jostling the table. One of them sits down on my stuff, and they all wonder why I seem to be mad at them.

Suddenly we're outside, standing by a ditch and I am trying to explain everything to them, how they messed up my picture and sat on my stuff, and they just don't care, so I give up. I find some of my stuff is scattered and laying in the dirt and mud in and around the drainage ditch, and looking at a broken pair of glasses, trying to remember if they are mine. I don't think so, they don't look right.

Suddenly I find myself in a bedroom, no idea where. It is weird, and dimensions are stretched and warped. It is huge, and empty, no furniture. Well, nothing except a mirror. The odd thing is, I glance in the mirror and I see a reflection of the room, but with all kinds of furniture, and looking cheery and pleasant, rather than dark and miserable. I see a huge clown coming, and she tells me to be patient, things get better.

Suddenly I find myself being 'attacked' by a circus tiger, except it just wants to cuddle a little bit. There are elephants, giraffes, and other animals just wandering around in this huge, empty room of mine. Bonnie C is here, but she is just sitting there, muttering to herself.

The clown walks past, but she is now dressed as a naughty nurse, all in white, really short skirt, and very attractive. Now this is more like it! I follow her as she walks into a doctor's office, and she is speeding up, almost like she is trying to escape. By this point I know I am dreaming, so when she goes through a door and locks it, I run right through it at full speed, and pass through as if it weren't there.

I catch up to her among some office cubicles and am trying to kiss her and start having some fun. A doctor walks into the room, and because I don't want him to see me, he can't, but since I'm all over the nurse, who he can see, and she is struggling, he knows something is up. "He's here, isn't he?" he asks. Then comes over and starts to wrestle with me, even though he can't see me.

I try to explain. I'm dreaming, I know I'm dreaming, and shouldn't I be able to have some fun? I point to the nurse's gorgeous bare ass, her fanny right in front of my face, and say "Answer honestly, if you're in a dream, face to face with this, would you not take advantage of the situation?" He is honest, and admits he probably would, but tells me she is not for me. I get nothing except the very minor feel I have already copped.

She leads me back to the floor of the dark, empty, huge bedroom, and stays right there, taunting me with her presence. Obnoxious. To hell with this, I start to feel her up again, and she is not happy. Just before I can get anywhere, I get distracted by a caterpillar dressed up as a clown, climbing on me. A green dog comes bouncing up, then disappears, and the doctor is here, still protecting the nurse. He looks slightly different, and I realize he is also the dog.

I start to whine about how I don't get to have anything, even in my dreams, and start to beg to die. They have nothing helpful to say to me. They tell me to get something to eat, and now there is a plain table with a picnic basket on it. I walk up to it and there is some weird guy standing there singing a song about hiding bad food in with the good, and burying chewed clean chicken wing bones under a couple of loaves of stale bread.

      This dream sucks!

    2. Paperwork at the Convention and a Movie

      by , 08-29-2012 at 04:07 PM
08-22-2012 -- At school? Convention? Work? I'm just not sure. It's kind of a muddle. I stop by the office to check on something, and they're giving me paperwork for all the students who are somehow different in some way that is related to me. Have no idea how, that part doesn't stick.

Anyway, Tammy from Courier Express is working in the office, and she is the one who has been setting this stuff aside for me, but somebody new has just taken over, and I fear they may object. They don't seem to, though. Meanwhile, more records are being printed out for me, but they are out of paper, and I am trying to find some more to keep things going smoothly. Isn't working very well.

I am heading into a hall where we are going to watch some sort of movie, and as I am entering, I run into Carolyn wearing Petey's costume, but not the make-up. I'm hoping I haven't offended her by coming to this movie without here. There are a bunch of other clowns here, too (also in costume, but not make-up) which is why I wonder if it is a convention. The movie turns into some sort of show, and for just a minute or two it turns very political. I think Rush Limbaugh is there, and perhaps Mitt Romney. But the politics vanish very quickly, thankfully.

Soon I exit that building, and soon find myself entering a stadium-like seating area that I've visited in a bunch of dreams. There are people trying to get us seated and organized before whatever we are here for is ready to begin. One of these is an attractive brunette who I am thinking of getting together with, but Steve Koffroth gets there first. Darn!

[Overall, this was a huge, involved dream, but I just couldn't manage to remember much in the way of details, so it makes a pretty small dream post.]
    3. Mom's New Pad, the Cats and the Clowns

      by , 08-07-2012 at 02:31 PM
8-7-12 -- Find myself at mom's new apartment, though I have no idea how I got there. Have let myself in with my key and am looking around downstairs, but no sign of mom. I do hear her calling out to somebody about needing lunch or something, and suddenly find a computer that still has something on the screen ordering delivery from Checkers.

I see a staircase and start to head upstairs. It has extra braces and such, and seems to be reinforced, but it is still kind of unstable. I climb most of the way up, and come to a place where there is a beam running across the entire width of the stairs right at hand rail height, and I am trying to figure out if you are supposed to climb over it or under it. I glance to where the stairway connects to the second floor, and there is a wall there with a gap of maybe 10 inches. I might be able to squeeze through this, but mom never could! I am trying to figure out what is going on here.

That's when mom calls to me from the first floor, and explains to me that I am on the wrong staircase. They had to put a new one in for her to make use of, and it blocked off the old one. So I am going to have to climb back down this rickety staircase which is turning into more of a ladder as I start to turn around. The supports are starting to pull out of the wall, and the entire thing is about to collapse when I kind of half step, half drop off it and onto the ground in the kitchen.

Mom leads me around to the other staircase and upstairs. The 'staircase' is made of overlapping metal bits, and it moves. It doesn't form stairs like an escalator, but instead looks like one of the luggage carousels at the airport, except it leads upstairs. I guess I caught mom in the shower, because she is wearing a towel. Because of this, I can tell she has lost a lot of weight. She is still fat, but probably no more than 200 pounds, as opposed to the 400 pounds that she used to weigh.

Now we're upstairs, and she tells me she may have forgotten to let me know, but she has now gotten a roommate, Donna Peeler's daughter, and she is teaching another young woman (who looks kind of like Torri) to become a clown. [This is kind of odd, since my mom died before I ever got into the whole clown thing.] As I step into the room I am practically accosted by the first of perhaps a dozen cats who wants to be petted.

I keep coming across more and more cats, all in good health and well-groomed, each with beautiful coats, and all with different colors and probably at least three or four different breeds of cats. Gorgeous animals, and all very friendly and wanting attention.

Mom is complaining that she can't get anybody to come around and do any gardening work, even for pay, and I am asking if she misses the guy who came by and did the lawns on Hickory. I can't remember his name, but I am trying Fowler and Fletcher. Fletcher sounds right. [In truth, I can't even remember the name in real life anymore. Been too many years.] Anyway, mom keeps teaching clown make-up to the one gal, and Peeler's daughter is walking around half-dressed, and I can't help but notice she's kind of cute.
    4. Never thought the Mythbusters could get any better

      by , 07-03-2012 at 02:46 AM
I start off walking from somewhere to somewhere else (a strange concept indeed). When I decide to get into my car and start driving crazy fast down a highway watching tons of exit signs fly by. Somehow I end up driving down the walkway on my campus, as I'm about to get to a wall I pull up on the parking brake and kill the gas by turning off a rocker light switch (The kind that you press in the bottom of the switch instead of flipping it).

Suddenly I find myself sitting and eating cereal with someone as we watch to talk radio hosts direct a weird episode of mythbusters. There are people playing what appear to be arcade games that have some sort of trick when they lose (trap door, thrown backwards, and some others I don't remember). The episode is coming to an end when a fight scene starts and Adam and Jamie start fighting what I believe were clowns.

The Mythbusters now stand as some of my favorite heroes of all time.
    5. One of my first nightmare...

      by , 04-27-2012 at 06:45 AM
Ok to get the full understanding of how truly terrifying this dream was you must know when I was a kid I had a horrible fear of two things, Vampires and Spiders. I hated the site if blood and I had a fear of death by bleeding to death. Spiders and Vampires fed this fear. Also keep in mind this was a time before Vampires sparkled (I don't hate Twilight, just it did not depict what I imagine vampires to be like) I Was young at the time eight or nine I think.

So My dream started out right after my aunt got married to this new guy my step uncle. In my dream this guy was was rich. He owned a huge mansion and the after wedding party was outside in front of this mansion. This was a "Grown Up" Party and me and my younger brother and older sister had to stay in side. In my dream I get this really bad feeling about my new uncle. No one shares this feeling. Us three are inside and my sister is going on about a basketball court that inside the mansion. My brother runs off and the next time I see him he is in a bathing suit. I follow him to the bathroom where I find a huge bathtub that looks like a hot-tub. My brother jumps in and is having fun. I head off to find my sister who is in the basketball court she was talking about shooting hoops. We play a game of HORSE and shes laughing and we are having a good time. Then I decide to go check on my little brother.
I walk down the hall and as I do so It's seems to get a bit darker. I here this laugh echo through the hall and I stop and Look around but there's no one there. Being a little freaked out I quicken my pace and almost run to the bathroom. I stop at the door. It's cracked open. I hear no sound from inside and get this horrible feeling like a wave of dread. I slowly open the door, and the world seemed to come to a stop when I saw the horrific scene lay out before me. (Remember I'm eight when I had this dream) The floor is soaked in a mixture of blood and water. There is blood all over the walls and the bathtub water is dark red. The lights are dimmed and the whole thing looks like a scene pulled from a horror film. Then my eyes fall on my six year old brother who is floating face down in the bath. The walls seem to bend and the feeling of shock goes over me. I shack my self away from tunnel vision and run to my brother but slip and slosh blood water all over me. I pull him from the water and lie him right side up on the ground. It looks like some one took a razor and went insane on him. There are deep slashes all over him. I shake him but he is long gone. Then I hear foot step. Some one was coming. The step sounded like that person was wearing fancy shoes like the one you wear with a Tux. I hear that laughing again. Becoming scared for my own life I set my dead brother down and look for escape. I see a window and go for it. It takes a minute to get it open and pull my self through. As I throw myself through it I turn my view back to the door and and standing in the door frame is my Uncle. He has this awful grin on his face. Then I fall outside into a hedge.
I craw my way through the hedge and make my way to the "Grown Up" Party. I see my grandma and run to her. I frantically try and explain about my brother and Uncle and such but for some reason believes I'm just playing pretend to get attention. She and everyone else seems completely oblivious to the fact I'm covered in blood. She practically shoves me inside and shuts the door leaving me alone once again in the mansion.
I stand there for a second unsure what to do next. Then I thought of my big sis and made a run for the basketball count( I always depend on my sister when bad stuff happens, ever since I can remember she was always the one who knew just what to do. I suppose Big Sister are made that way ) So I'm quite sure my sister will save me.
When I get to the court and walk in the first thing I notice is it's dark. There is only one light and It's shining down on my sister. She is one her knees and holding her head. Her hair is messed up. (Before I go farther my sister is afraid of clowns...ya her nemesis) I run up to and ask her whats wrong. She responds quite darkly "There everywhere....." I look around and see nothing. She suddenly stands and screams "LEAVE ME ALONE YOU STUPID CLOWNS!!!!!" She starts really yelling and freaking out then drops to the ground and starts failing. Then stops and lays in the fetal position shaking. I'm completely shocked and don't know what to do. Then the light shuts off.
The door on the other side I came into the gym opened. Light came from the other room giving enough light to see. There stood my uncle with the same smile. He took a step forward and stepped back. He glanced over at my sister and laughed. I yelled "WHAT DID YOU DO TO HER!" His eyes narrow but the smile remains. "Nothing much," he replied "I made her see what she fears most. I take another step back "How!? What are you?!" His smile gets wider "I'm a vampire and as such I can do many things, like make people see what I want them to and much more." I take this all in and say "Why?..." "Because your family is in the way. I only got close to your aunt to get access to you. Your not like everyone else and once you are are my apprentice you will become a valuable resource." I get really angry at this. "I'll never be your apprentice!" He takes another step forward " You won't have a choice once you become a Vampire. But if you insist on resisting me then I'll be glad to show you the alternative"
The shadows around me started to take shape. The formed spiders. Some were huge but there was also a swarm of small spiders forming on the ground but the billions. They were mostly black widows with red eyes. They were forming all around me. The swarm of small ones got to me first and started to come up my legs. They began biting me and I yelled in pain and began frantically swatting them off. I started yelling, "It's not real, It cant be real!" The vampire just smiled and said "But it hurt non the less and if I wanted these "non-real" spiders could easily rip you to bits but don't worry, I don't want to kill you. Just say the word and there be gone. " I looked him in the eyes and replied "It's never going to happen." Then I dashed for the door.
I ran out of the gym.. billions of spiders followed and they were still forming from all the shadows in the mansion. I ran down the hall and came to a door way that led to a stairway that spiraled strait up. I ran up the stairs. Spiders were every where and only inches behind me. I heard the vampires voice. "You can't run." I kept going and came to a opening to outside. I was standing on a tower hundreds of feet in the air. The spiders swarmed out of the opening but stopped before me. I was trapped. Out of the swarm came my uncle. He still had the same evil grin. "I told you. Now join me." I looked up with a very bad ass face and said "And I told you! NEVER! I would rather die!" With that I let myself fall backwards from the tower. The last thing I saw was him looking down at me falling. His smile was gone and he had a "she really did it" look on his face. Then everything went dark.
I wake up (In my dream) and I'm laying in a field and it's night. I sit up and look to my right and there is my uncle...smiling. I sigh with defeat and look up at the sky. The moon is huge. I lay down and say "What now?"

That's all I remember, I woke up shortly afterwards.

Ya this dream freaked me out as a kid and I thought for sure vampires were after me.
    6. Music Stabilized Lucid and a Clown Funeral Parade

by , 07-01-2011 at 11:41 PM (Sailing the Noosphere)
      1. I must have gone lucid spontaneously, as I don't recall making a reality check or even what came before the lucid moment. But in any case, I become aware that I'm dreaming in the guest room of my house. I start stabilizing by rubbing my hands on my sides, but I also remember a thread I recently read on DV. Apparently the poster had success stabilizing with a musical focus, so I start singing the third declension ending song from my high school Latin class. It really seems to help, and I walk from the guest room into my bedroom. My computer is set up on my desk and my lights are on, but I ignore them. I try to work on object summoning, as I have problems with that. I try to create a sword in my hands for dream fighting, and with my willpower I call into being an ill-defined brown colored katana. It's less vivid than the rest of the dream, but I do feel resistance as my hands grasp it and start going through some simple slashes. The blade moves with my moves, and I'm pleased with my progress. I decide to close out by flying, and I drop the sword to jump through my ceiling. There's a tremendous rush upward, a few stars in the sky, and then I wake up.

      2. I'm walking home from Newport with C.W. when we run into a New Orleans-style funeral. Apparently it's being held by a guild of clowns, all dressed in white robes with red emoticon faces on them. Some are happy :-) and are playing saxophones, some are sad :-( and simply march. Some are wearing large red plastic necklaces in the shape of bananas. After walking with the procession a bit, we come across a group which is using those necklaces to play a lacrosse-type game.
    7. #146. Arcades

by , 09-14-2010 at 06:54 AM (Things to Run Away From Really Fast)
      Whoa.

      09/13/10

This is a building with no windows. The walls and ceiling are black and plasticky, and the dark tiles on the floor are smooth and glossy. Neon signs and arrows are laid out tackily along the walls, advertising the various games on display and giving directions that I can't read.

I'm in a small alcove, playing one of the arcade games stuffed into the small hallway. The place I'm in connects a larger hallway (which leads to a set of elevators, and the lobby of the building) to a large, open room, the entirety of which is pitch black and shiny.

I keep moving along the wall and towards the room, switching games as I go. I'm trying to stay out of the way of the janitor, who's coming from the elevators. He's driving a rainbow, glowing lawnmower with various mop-like attachments which simultaneously clean all surfaces of the room. The mop cleaning the ceiling is spinning in circles and whipping across from side to side. The side mops are giant spinning things, reaching out to the edges of the hallway. It looks like a demented, inside-out automatic car wash from an alternate dimension.

I haven't actually seen it, though. I'm just quietly moving towards the black room.

      - discussing what's happening in the big bang theory tv show on the big screen tv in the black room with someone or other -

I'm playing air hockey against myself (neon, of course, lighting up the room), when He finds me. I roll my eyes. I was really hoping to avoid the Arcade's mascot.

It's a clown, of course. He dances around spastically as he approaches me. I cross my arms over my chest and the colourful clown turns the pitch black of the walls and starts to disintegrate. I hear the employee - the man in the suit - decide that he doesn't get paid nearly enough for this.

In another dream, I'm talking to one of the actors from Supernatural, Jensen Ackles. The surroundings are plain and the carpet is brown. Ackles is complaining about his insane fans, and I decide not to ask for an autograph.

      Scare Factor: 2/10
      Rating: 4/10
    8. Clowns, Cults, and China

      by , 08-27-2010 at 06:10 PM (Zukin's Dream Journal! <3)
I was standing on the edge of a sidewalk that was next to a railroad in the city. I was with my boyfriend. We were both Chinese. We were cuddling and talking, until he becomes quiet.

"Did you see that?" He asks.

      "What? Where?"

"That man...I've never seen anything like it." He points across from us into an old, dark shed. I can just barely make out the image of a man putting on white costume makeup. He was very pale.

      "Freaky."

He leaves, and I go home. Everything red around me starts to resemble a clown, like the one from It. I start running home, and dart upstairs to my room. I turn on the computer, some dolls still resembling that messed up clown. I try to keep my eyes from looking in the reflection of the computer screen because I'm afraid I might see something I don't want to.

I try to log into IRC but the computer freezes slightly and no seems to be responding in the channel. I google my condition and it seems that I am not alone. Other people have been attacked by this clown and then they are slowly killed off.

I'm teleported somewhere else now...Maybe these people can help me? I look around. I'm in a giant church...But this looks nothing like any of the modern religions. The ceilings are high and gray and the lights are dimmed. People are chanting in tongues and a man, who resembles Dumbledore, is leading them.

I take a seat on the western side of the 'church' near the front. In front of me are tall, metal torches that are unlit. A caretaker in rags slithers up next to them. It is explained to the procession that if the caretaker does not truly believe in their cult religion, that he who lit the flames would catch fire.

I watched as the man lit the torches. A different colored flame sprouted in each one. When the man was finished lighting the torches he turned back to the head speaker. The flame started at the bottoms of his robe and worked their way up until they engulfed him. The head speaker made a halt sign with his hands and the flames stopped. The head speaker explained that because of the caretaker's doubt in their religion, that he would be sentenced to a life without a left eye.

I was back now in my house. Who were those freaky people?? I decided to go wash up in the bathroom. I couldn't let a man with a little make up freak me out, I'm tougher than that!

I heard a banging on the door, and jumped a little.

"I just wanted to say good night to you," My mother in the dream said. She was also Chinese.

      "Thanks mom."

"What is this on your back?" She turns me around so that my back is facing the mirror. In the reflection I can see that I have a vividly shaped scar of a dragon going down my back! On either side are scars of traditional Chinese houses. WTF

Mom tells me that I'll be sleeping in my aunt's room tonight. How could I ever get to sleep?

    9. Nightmares About...

      by , 11-16-2008 at 12:15 AM
Random nightmare about Nazis, but for some reason they were dressed as circus clowns.

The next night I had a dream I was playing a shitty internet Flash game that kept crashing. It was all about some sort of reverse-World of Warcraft world and one of the main characters in it was an annoying sea goddess.

Followed by a weird nightmare that was like a combination of a documentary on drug runners and Stephen King's "Christine":

Dreamed there were these guys who gathered and smuggled this plant you had to chew to get high. If you got caught you were looking at a lot of time in prison. Somehow, in the dream, I got coerced into helping these guys. Unfortunately, the feds showed up, and I was the only person who didn't have anywhere to hide. For whatever reason, though, they didn't see me, because I hid the only place I could think of - behind the place's guard dog.

This was followed by a sequence that's scrambled in my brain but led to me standing outside of a rundown/abandoned shack. I'd driven there in a small fuchsia sports car, it looked like a newer Mustang. There was a broken down car there. The house was inhabited by the ghost of a small child; the broken down car was possessed. Little kid ghost was terrified of the car. I approached the car, and the inside began to fill up with water which streamed down the windows as the engine revved. Like any sane human being, I flipped out and ran back to my own car (whose door was open) while little kid ghost tagged along (by holding onto my hair?). I said "you can't go with me, I don't know what to do with you" but it cried and was insistent and I was about to be run over by a possessed demon car, so I didn't argue. I had trouble getting into my car because my legs wouldn't cooperate for some reason (I was so scared my knees had locked). Somehow I managed to hit the gas and take off, with the possessed car in pursuit. I managed to lose it along the way - I guess it couldn't go outside a certain radius - but my own car was out of control, I was cutting people off and driving in the wrong lane of traffic, and my brakes didn't work. I was yelling at little ghost kid to hit the brakes, but all it would do was cry. I then pulled up outside of a small family restaurant owned by a Yugoslavian family and walked inside. In the dream, I knew the family, but didn't know how to explain what just happened.
