    1. 1st lucid dream! Wild technique

      by , 05-02-2011 at 10:13 PM
first off let me say that determination is key! lol i was laying in my bed in sleep paralysis mode like i do pretty often and i was about to give up and bam! it happened lol.. I've been practicing for about 3 weeks now keeping up with my DJ doing RC's but none of that seemed to work.. this WILD tech is unbelievable. I tried it before but i did it wrong. its similar to the WBTB method..actually i think i mixed the two techs.. anyway! the dream was awesome! the transition into the dream was even awesome!

So I'm laying in my bed in SP mode and I see a strange face.. a womans face for a split second she was kind of like a rainbow outline of a face with hair.. and i feel my body start to shake and i mean really shake.. and then i woke up or i thought i woke up.. i actually woke up in the dream.. i was like a newborn baby.. i woke up in my bed and couldn't move for the life of me.. i was swaying i hit my wall and kind of floated back into the bed i grabbed onto the side of my bed and i noticed my hand it was balloon like lol after floating around trying to stand for a few seconds i kind of realized how to do it and i was up.. i think i jumped because i felt like i floated onto the ground (so awesome!) i walked over to my window which was so bright from the sun you could barely look out but it didn't hurt my eyes at all i didn't even squint.. and the great thing about the WILD tech is that i didn't have to tell myself i was dreaming because i already knew! so while i'm at the window i think if this really is a dream i should be able to put my hand through this window.. but that didn't work.. even though that didn't work it didn't bother me too much.. so i walk or float to my door and i open it and look around and i think, for some crazy reason, i would like to fight a lion! lmaooooooo who does this?! who tries to turn their dream into a nightmare?! anyway the lion appeared and it was so cheesy it was half cartoon and half real and it wasn't even mean or hostile.. i kicked at it then i waved my hand because i was already tired of him lol.. so THEN i figure why not try this sex thing out? lmfaooooooooo there she appeared so i walk up to her and.... i fucking wake up!! awww man i didn't even get a chance to spin around! smh anyway mission accomplished tonight i will try it again..

I just want to thank everyone for the advice and telling me not to give up and i hope my story can help people and if you have any questions i'll be glad to answer!
    2. First Lucid Dream

      by , 04-15-2011 at 02:51 PM
I was in a elevator looking upwards, I suddenly became conscious and was able to think, feel and move. (Not my head, for some reason). I was able to recall that I wasn't supposed to get to excited or else I would wake up... for some reason I had trouble thinking this, as it would repeat in my head. I got excited anyway, and woke up (I think, or I transferred to another dream because I woke up looking at bolts and screws...). Before that I had a dream that I don't consider lucid, because even though I could control myself, I didn't feel "there". I was in a elevator with a friend, and we just escaped by some midgets with guns, the elevator kept going down (To the midgets) and I wanted it to go up, so I remembered a few tactics from this website. I yelled at the top of my lungs "GO UP! I want to go UP!" "What are you doing? I want to go UP!" "This isn't good enough I want to go UP!" It eventually did, but only for a few seconds, like it was teasing me.

    3. My first lucid!

      by , 03-07-2011 at 07:50 PM
This is my first Lucid! Although it didn't go as well as I'd hoped.

I woke up and did a nose RC, I was a little surprsed and scared I could breathe. As I did it I could remember once in a dream I did the nose RC and I could breathe, so I just presumed I was doing it wrong. I also remembered writing that in DV in real life. So I got memory of a previous dream and of real life in my lucid. Anyway, at first and I didn't beleive it was a dream, everything was so real. I got up an went downstairs, a little excited. I was losing lucidity and vividness at this point, so I started rubbing my hands together and against the door. It worked.

Then mum asked me to stay with my little sister, as she was going somewhere. I said no. She got really angry. It was boring at home and there wasn't really anything fun to do so I decided to try flying. I went over to the window, thought about smashing it open, but doubted wether I was dreaming or not, so just opened it instead, climbed out. From the window I tried to do a jump and fly. It didn't work.

I was a little worried now because I was wondering wether I was actually dreaming, so I did another nose RC I could still breathe. Again I was surprised how real everything seemed. So I went back to the front door. Then I woke up.

Pretty anoyed about the dream but surprised how real it felt and happy I got my first lucid dream! It was a WBTB. I think it must have only been about 20 minutes, unless I looked at the dream clock when I was checking the time.

    4. First Time Being Lucid!

      by , 12-05-2010 at 07:35 PM
It's not an exciting adventure or anything, but I was really happy I'd finally done it.

It started with me waking up and trying to get out of bed. I was tangled in the covers so I ended up tripping and falling on the floor. I looked around the room and immediately noticed that the room was very bright, as if the lights were on and that the walls were yellow.

At first this didn't seem to be a problem since the walls of my room did used to be yellow. But then I remembered I'd painted them blue over a year ago. Then i suddenly thought, 'hey! I should do a reality check!''

I held my nose and I could still breath so I whispered excitedly, ''I'm dreaming! Awesome!''

Naturally, the first thing I did was stand up and try to fly. Unfortunately , it didn't work. I'd read about how to fly in lucid dreams but couldn't remember it at the time.

Then i tried to levitate...didn't work. Somehow after that I got it in my mind that if I created a magician he could put a spell on me to make me fly. I tried to make him appear before me, but I remembered that that was difficult for most lucid dreamers.

So, I imagined the magician would be on the other side of my bedroom door when I opened it. He wasn't.

Then I thought, 'Hey, my mom's probably in the kitchen' (she's there every morning)

As I made my way to the kitchen I looked at my hands because I remembered that being one of the reality checks. I already knew I was dreaming, but I wanted to see what they looked like.

It scared the crap out of me. I had fingers growing out of fingers. I was REALLY scared and kinda started hyperventilating (which I think is weird because I'd never done that in real life...) I didn't let myself get too scared though because I didn't want to get booted out of the dream.

I walked into the kitchen where my mom was reading the paper like she always does. She looked up at me when I came in and asked me what I was doing up so early.

I told her I was having a lucid dream and that she was a part of it.

She said, ''Alright, sure,'' and kinda smiled at me. Basically the way my mom would have reacted anyway. Then I sat down to talk to her but I forgot what we were saying.

Then I woke up. I know it wasn't marvelous but I thought it was cool.
    5. First lucid dream! YAY!

by , 11-02-2010 at 01:35 PM (Awesomeness's quest for lucidity)
Real life Dream Lucid Dream sign
For me to remember, dreams are 067300, lucid dreams are the color below blue, #4169e1, and dream signs are the light purple, which is up one and left one from blue, #483d8b.

I lucid dreamt today! Oh my gosh! This has increased my will to lucid dream ten fold!

      Lucid dream
All I remember was I was in a white room (this dream wasn't very vivid at all) when suddenly I became lucid! I was so excited I started to feel the dream falling apart. It's a strange feeling. I felt like there was an aching heat in me (but it wasn't a bad feeling) and I was slightly disoriented.

Normally when a dream fades from me, it's different. Usually when my dreams lose stability my REM cycle is ending, and I will start to become intensely disoriented, and fall to the ground. Everything in my vision will smear together and fade to white. I guess since my dream lost stability for a different reason, it felt different.

I thought of what to do from my experience on the forums and the only thing I could think to do was rub my hands together. I don't even remember seeing my hands, (maybe it was because my dream was so unstable) but I did so and things improved a little. It might have lasted ten more seconds because of that. I was so happy and thought to myself 'I'm aware that I'm dreaming!' until I woke up at 3 something AM.

I thought in my head "I WILL remember this dream!" over and over, and went back to sleep.

      Sci-fi dream
I remember none of this dream but it was sci-fi in theme.

When I woke up at 8 AM, I did remember this dream, but not the lucid dream. I started thinking all about it in my head. Then I thought, 'Wait a second...' and then remembered my lucid dream earlier that night and got really excited. In my excitement I completely forgot the sci-fi dream, but who cares? I remembered my lucid dream!

Last night changed my general beliefs of dreaming in these ways:
      • Lucid dreaming isn't impossible for me!
      • People lucid dream many times before they finally remember one- as you can see here I almost forgot my "first" lucid dream.
      • The above means that dream recall might not improve your lucid dream count because of recognizing dream signs more, but simply because you remember more of your lucid dreams! (This is just an idea, and might not be true)
      • I had an idea a while ago that remembering dreams is like following a train of thought. It seems to me that recollection of dreams seems to never be put in short term memory. When I began to think about something else, I completely forgot my dream, and that might be because the dream was just something I was thinking about, not something in my memory. This could be why most people remember their dreams in the morning, but as five minutes pass you forget it. (This is just an idea, and might not be true)

    6. My first lucid dream! Simple and Beautiful

by , 09-20-2010 at 07:03 PM (Dreaming on my feet)
I had a lucid dream! I was flying, and knew I was dreaming immediately because I was flying I enjoyed this immensely because I was not shocked, and it didn't hit me like many members report, I wasn't over excited, and I didn't wake up. That was one thing I have tried to focus my intention on, approaching lucid dreaming with a calm and stable mind. So, I'm flying with my arms at my sides, parallel to the ground gazing foreward, going a little too fast for me to control, but I do forget to stabilize before trying to accomplish my goals so they don't work unfortunately and I lose lucidity within probably fifteen to twenty seconds. I was flying over a hilly grass area near a very large and beautiful tree, it was daytime. I first tried to change my altitude and method of flight [like hovering, or doing somersaults, etc.] but was unable to, and then I tried to "Earth Bend" like in the animated series Avatar, but I don't recall being able to move anything with my mind. So my next area of concentration will be dream stabilization!
[Sorry for the long post about a 15 second dream, but I feel quite proud and exhilarated from my experience, and overjoyed that I am moving closer to understanding the dream state]

In the dream immediately following or connected to the LD, I meet up with people I live and work with, and we are driving through rolling countryside along the coast of some huge lake or ocean. It is sunset and breathtakingly beautiful, I feel comfortable and adventurous. We pass through several cities, some we pass around at a height while still in the car. The cities are filled with large buildings seemingly made of adobe or concrete, very circular like Indian temple-skyscrapers, with a feeling reminiscent of elven towns from Lord of the Rings. I ask the driver town names and she gives some names of towns in the state where I live, which I do not notice. We come to a building in a town and enter and it's a type of leisure club, semi circular in design and spiraling upward, long decorative diamond strings hanging down like a mobile in some art museums or libraries. It seems there are many live performers/magicians performing strange things [though I do not remember] One of them gives me some type of small cellular type device connected to a balloon that looks like a large lightbulb. Holding it causes me to fly again, and I am soaring gently over the many people, and fly up through the building, very dark and intimate feeling with red and black tones and candlelight , filled with mystique. I come down to the ground, grab another and fly even higher, and I seem to be the only one flying though I am not a spectacle and I don't mind at all .

After flying I sit down with two old men/magicians/performers with beards, like monks or gurus, sitting cross legged and excitedly tell them about the lucid dream I had just experienced, how it felt and what had happened. They look interested and listen attentively, but do not say much - they sit and smile gently at me. As I look at them I am filled with peace and comfort, they give me a sense of encouragement and approval. When I finish my dream, and finish telling them breifly about the concept of lucid dreaming, one tells me, "well, that sounds like a dedicated task."

I had several more but must leave now, will update more later in the week since I have no internet access except the library, and will also enter in some memorable dreams from the last few months. Thanks for reading, I'd be glad to get any comments or encouragment or advice.

    7. Motley's MILD-1 workbook

      by , 08-25-2010 at 05:08 AM
I had a DILD Last night!! Yay! I had a weird night. I woke up randomly at 7, didn't do anything because I was too sleepy, woke at 8:30 with alarm clock but don't remember it, and woke at 9:30 ffeling gooood about my dreams!

I have a big segment and three little ones but I cannot remember when they all happened or how they connect because I remember only that I remembered it all after waking up the last time...I will write the 3 short ones first and then the last one.
Bold- Dream, Blue- Lucid, Normal- non dream.

It was my birthday party. People came t my house. I didn't care about most for some reason, and only cared about my best friend. Me and him found rafaela candies and went to hide them for later consumption but ended up eating them in my laundry room. We went to the bathroom He did his business and I washed my face. I don't know why but we wrestled a little and fell into the bathtub. We got out of the bathroom and it was one of my friends' houses. We played video games. One of my friends was there but he said a few mean things tome. There was another guy that was very nice to me. Everyone went on the computer except me. I played a single player spy weasel game where I had to infiltrate some place and steal something, similar to the intro of Inception. I was doing very well and People came from the computer to watch me. I got caught and hid in the shadows. The main bad guy caught me and I killed him in the game. Then, the kids disappeared and my dad and step-mom appeared. They offered to go skating and I accepted. First though, my stepmom was a little ill and she drank water with medicine in it. As she was about to drink, it turned into tonic water. We went outside and started skating on a strange road. The roller blades turned into ice skates for non ice surfaces and we started to speed skate. We skated so fast that we rose up above the clouds and were flying as we skated. The clouds became Ice and we were skating on ice now. It was breathtakingly beautiful. Pink and purple sunrise sky and up above transitioned to black from outer space. I looked back down to the ice and the surface looked like an ocean. my stepmom skated faster ahead, I couldn't keep up and my dad fell behind. I started using my hands to dig into the ice to help go faster and as I went faster I flew up higher and into space. It was cold and I saw a frozen ship fly by me. The gravity was weird and the ship could fly... I drifted back down the the ice clouds and caught up and so did my dad. I fell through the ice at a weak spot but flew up again by skating faster and wanting to fly up. Then, we decided to go down to earth so we punched the ice until wwe fell through and gently drifted down the a road I saw at the outskirts of Kiev, Ukraine. There was snow far off from the road all around but right by the snow were brilliant gold flowers that shone brighter than I have ever seen and the trees were green. Forest on either side. It was surreal and beautiful- the snow, the golden flowers, the trees. I was enjoying it a lot. We eventually reached the first city buildings and the city looked like Chicago. I guess setting change? Winter and snow were gone. I stopped under a roofed building. My parents skated on and were soon gone. Randomly, I realized I was lucid. I remember thinking that all of this was so surreal and amazing. Then, I thought "hey, I'm dreaming" in an obvious sort of way like only an idiot wouldn't know with all of this. I yelled increase lucidity but it didn't work very well. I was too excited to remember to stabilize and do all of those things. The first thing I could think of was the forest task. I closed my eyes and wanted to be in a forest when I opened them but that didn't work as I was still overcome with excitement. I looked around and saw a forest in a city park just beyond a building. I flew over the building and as I came closer, I saw that the forest had thinned. It was thinning as I flew closer. Then, as I came even closer, I saw that the forest diappeared and in its place stood a neat row of trees. Just one layer and row. Between them and around were little neat cofee shop tables and people were sitting doing their things. When they saw me, everyone got scared and ran. I kept my mind on the task and suddenly, the dream was less stable and I lost some control. I couldn't fly very well then. I persisted and flew around the trees, weaving in and out and then above the trees. I could only fly for short bursts, so I flew by boosting up a bit, and then gliding down and repeating. A woman and her two kids ran after me right under wher I just flew screaming religious things and cursing my flying as work of the devil. I didn;t care. I thought that now that the task was done, I needed something else to do. An idea popped into my mind. I said, "I want to meet my dream guide". Suddenly, a pair of clever looking triangular eyes appeared. It was surrounded by a sparkly orange mist or aura. Reminded me of the cat from alice in wonderland. I asked it if twas my spirit guide and it replied, in a very deep intriguing voice, "Perhaps" and then vanished. I flew back to the start of the row of trees and as I was flying above a low rooftop, a parkour kid started running alongside me. Then, I woke up.
    8. Frist Lucid Dream! :D

      by , 08-23-2010 at 04:05 AM
I had just got done hitting a guy in the face when I walk through a metal door into what seemed to be a warehouse with a lot of semi truck docks. I was standing beside a guy who I dont know who he was. Then for some reason I realize Im dreaming. It hit me so suddenly I said Oh my god im dreaming! to the guy, and began running past all of the docks. I passed a worker and put my hands up and yelled IM DREAMING to the guy as I ran by. I then began to feel myself start to wake up so I first remember to concentrate on my hands I put my hands up and when I look at them I see them start to crack and split open like they were burning away and started to feel the effects of waking up more so I think fast and remember spinning, I spin around one time and I am back into my dream. I stand there and realize that I can feel my real body the one laying in bed and I can feel my position Im laying in, yet I know im standing in my dreamworld. I then run over to a door and open it to a nice outdoor landscape and there is a cement ramp with stairs and a rail. Well I think to myself I have ALWAYS wanted to fly in my dreams and never had the chance. So I think to myself I can fly and jump over the railing and begin to fly to a hill I see. I remember trying to go higher in the sky but I couldnt control myself. Then I crash into the hill softly. I am on my knees and I touch the grass with my hands and feel how real it seems and say Oh my god it looks so real! It was so vivid and realistic and I knew I was in a dream yet amazed by the detail. I then thought okay I want to close my eyes and when I open them be in a city. Well I close my dream eyes and when I open them I open my real eyes, and wake up. I was so happy to have my first lucid. Yet as I sat there I thought to myself am I still dreaming? But unfortunately I wasnt still dreaming.
    9. My first lucid dream! *DEILD*

      by , 08-17-2010 at 09:18 PM
8/17/10 – [Choline] [Melatonin] [Tension Tamer] I didn’t get to bed until 2:15AM, so my WBTB was at about 7:30. I initially had a lot of trouble going to sleep and keeping still, until I decided to listen to some binaural beats. I laid down on my back with my arms close to my body, like the fetal position. I laid there for a while listening to the beats with no effect, for about 20 minutes. Then I fell asleep.
I remember a short dream where I was playing some kind of video game with a zombie alien. I had “3 bronze medals” on that particular level, and I had a conversation with one of my close friends on Steam while playing it. I remember telling him I just unlocked a new character and I could “swing” with him, instead of using a gun. Then the dream ended and I presumably went into a DEILD from there.
All I remember is darkness, then I realized I was in SP, making me come to the realization I was dreaming. I could feel it, and my dream was affected by the things happening in the real world. It felt like there cold boney hands grabbing my hands as I lay in blackness. I was amazed by how easily I could stay calm and reverse my thoughts. I thought of the hands as a bar support for a roller coaster, then all of a sudden I was riding front seat in a wooden roller coaster! I rode for about 10 seconds before I heard the ocean sounds from the binaural beats, which I attributed to the sound of wind, and then the roller coaster was in mid air, very high up.
My little dachshund sleeps next to me in bed and frequently kicks his feet when he sleeps. At this point, his legs kicked my arm and got ‘caught’ on my bicep. I felt this in the dream and knew what it was from instantly. It felt very particular. The roller coaster seemed to disappear and I was falling through the air. I couldn’t do anything at that point. I was just freefalling in the middle of a blank sky. It was intense. I soon started flying by numbers that count down, starting with 100. I assume this was counting down to the ocean or ground.

I didn’t stay long enough to find out as I woke up at about 30. Crazy.
    10. Turmoil between an old friend.

      by , 08-02-2010 at 07:26 PM
I can't go into detail for personal reasons, but the dream basically consisted of me and an old friend who I no longer have ties with fighting to the death in his own front yard with no one seeming to stop us. At some point throughout this long fight, I found myself to be somewhere else all of a sudden.. not in the exact same location, but not far away. After realizing this, I took off for where we were before and when I got there, I seen him standing over what appeared to be my lifeless body. Afterwards, I realized I was seeing myself from an out-of-body perspective, and maybe I had died. He then jumped in a car and drove away very quickly. I tried to get on my phone to call my mom, and when she answered I said "I think I'm having an out of body experience, I think I may be dead.", to which she replied "No, I can't come get you right now.. you'll have to wait a bit.". At this point, I took the advice from this site into account and said "Wait.. there's no way I could use a phone if I'm dead.. there's no way I could talk to anyone, especially my own mother.. and why would she say she couldn't come pick me up when I didn't ever imply that I needed a ride?" Then, it hit me.. "Am I dreaming?" As soon as I asked myself this question, I believe that I became lucid. I grew excited and decided there was no reason to be scared of my supposed 'death', because I wasn't dead.. I was only dreaming. Next thing I knew, I was awake in my own bed.

It's not amazing by any means, but I'm almost positive that I nearly induced my first lucid dream. It's also great for me because I rarely remember my dreams, but after being on this site and reading tips I've been able to recount a lot of my dreams over the past few nights. If I'm not close to to incuding lucid dreams at will, I've definitely taken a big step from where I was at.
    11. My first lucid dream was an easy one

      by , 08-01-2010 at 09:08 PM
I've been researching the subject for weeks. I had an awareness of Lucid Dreaming but never fully understood how it was possible. As something as wonderful as controlling your own dreams I wanted to try, being someone who has quite vivid dreams every night.

I ignored the common techniques of checking my watch every hour, or drawing a sign on my hand, or looking in the mirror. I just figured that if I thought about lucid dreaming enough that It might just naturally occur. This only led to me falling asleep and completely forgetting LD ever existed or that I was trying to induce it in the first place.

I was quite lucky I think, as I was given an extremely easy 'dream signal' to lead me to my first lucid dream. I was dreaming of a surrounding that I cannot recall now, and I started to feel the sensation of my teeth falling out. I could feel my tongue twisting round the tooth and it falling off with a tug and a spit of the mouth. Eventually I spat and a mouthful of blood and teeth fell into my hand. As I was looking at my teeth in my dream-like state, I thought to myself 'This is one of the most common dreams people have'. And just like that something signalled the process in my mind to make me realise that I was obviously in a dream at that time.

This was not just me dreaming that I realised I was in a dream. I actually realised. And I panicked. I started to be aware that I was asleep in my bed and so to keep myself in a dream I remembered to rub my hands as suggested when trying to keep yourself asleep. However I suddenly felt myself awoken but with my eyes still closed, and when I opened them it was light outside but I was fully aware of what had just happened and what I had tried to achieve in my dream-like state.

I went back to sleep but could not go back to my lucid dream. It was a miracle that I managed to do it in the first place considering how little time I have spent trying. I was lucky I was given such an obvious signal as teeth falling out.

My plan now is to keep a dream journal of every night to make a record of my dreams in hope to realise more clearly when it is a dream, and when this happens to have a plan of what I want to achieve in this LD. Perhaps I shall try something simple like flying to begin with.

      Let the dreaming begin.
