    1. Memorable nightmare

      by , 03-30-2014 at 07:35 PM
I had this non-lucid nightmare a few days ago, but it was so vivid and detailed I thought it was worth an entry.

The whole dream was dark, like it was night. I was walking down a street in my town, it was quite crowded, and I noticed some of the people were dressed in a strange way. Something that really caught my attention was this really big man lying on the floor, his body was deformed. I went past him feeling a mixture of disgust and shame.

A while afterwards I went back to that street walking in the opposite direction, I don't remember where I was coming from. The big man was still there and I noticed another guy, not as big as him but with an equally deformed body, lying near him. Again I went past them, only to find the whole street was full of people dressed up as any kind of scary creatures. I thought that must have been some kind of event, but still I was scared some of them would chase me.

At some point I turned to the right, trying to get away from that crazy atmosphere. To my surprise, that street was completely empty and, quite strangely, it was darker than the other. I could barely see where my feet stepped and I was asking myself why on Earth would all the lights be turned off in such a gloomy street.

All of a sudden, I noticed someone was walking after me, just a few metres away. I decided not to worry about this and instead, make sure I didn't trip into anything or anyone walking in the opposite direction. In order to do this, I let out a scream every now and then or just said words, anything to make myself noticeable. I had the feeling there was a bike coming towards me, so I made louder noises to let the rider know where I was. The bike went past just a few centimetres away from me.

Then, I had the urge to look down to my feet and saw a tube which was well over 30 cm in diametre, and I saw it just in time to not stumble upon it. At this point I noticed I couldn't open my eyes. My eyelids felt really heavy and it was like they were glued shut. I thought this was really strange and there had to be a way I could open them. I even tried it with my hands without success.

The dream finished shortly afterwards, once I was getting suspicious about everything that was going on. I guess I would've become lucid if it had gone on for a bit longer.

    2. Dreaming I have a sister

      by , 03-23-2014 at 02:49 PM
So I am an only child, i'm 17 and recently i've been thinking about how if my parents ever passed away suddenly I would have no-one, My dad has no siblings either, my mum has a brother but him his wife and 2 kids live in australia so I rarely see them.

Anyway a few nights ago I dreamt that I was sat on the sofa in my lounge (except the sofa was bigger) and I had a sister who was sat to the right of me, dad the other side of her and mum next to me and we were all cuddled together reading a story. I don't know who she was now.

Last night I dreamt I was about 6 or 7 and again I had a sister who was about the same age, and our parents had adopted this other girl called Kazeema, we all had separate bedrooms but we were planning on 2 people sharing one or something so we were running round finding a tape measure and measuring the rooms to see who's was the biggest so that the 2 people sharing could have that one.

    3. The Hunger Games

      by , 03-17-2014 at 09:01 PM
I was part of a game which somehow reminded me of The Hunger Games. It took place at my street, and we were a number of people divided in two groups. There was a raffle (the word "reaping" from the book came to mind) in which two names were called out, one person from each team, and these two people would fight to death. I was horrified when I heard my name being called, and I would fight against a girl who was in the same class as me in primary school. I haven't heard from her in ages, but well, there she was. She had a small sharp knife but I had nothing, so I was offered the chance to be given a weapon of their choice. Obviously, I agreed. They gave me a small sword which had a round end. I was disappointed, but I had to deal with it.

My opponent and I started running towards each other. I was almost crying and saying I didn't want to do it, but I knew I had to. When the girl was still a few metres away from me, she threw the knife towards me in an attempt to thrust it into my brain straight away. I was lucky that not the blade, but the wooden handle hit my head, and then it fell on the floor, leaving me unhurt. I turned around, picked it up and started running to her with my sword before me, and of course she started ro run away. When I reached her, I tried to stab her in the back, but because of the sword's round end, it just wouldn't get in. A few seconds afterwards, I noticed the wind was blowing against the blade, making it even more difficult. She somehow managed to escape and got into a house. I could see her from a glass window and I started trying to cut the glass with my sword, but of course it didn't work. An old couple came to the window from inside the house and told me to go away.

I went back to the starting point, knowing I could do nothing but wait. A while afterwards, she came from the other side of the street. I went near her and the fight turned into a heated argument. First, a single neighbour came out to the street to complain about the noise, then another one joined him and they both were telling us to shut up. The man who was leading the game told us we would leave it for another day, and I felt frustrated. As I went back to my house, I thought I had things to do on the next two afternoons, so it would have to be on the third day, at most.

    4. Almost lucid

      by , 03-09-2014 at 07:00 PM
I was with a friend of mine at a girl's house, in the garden. I don't remember exactly what we did, but the girl suddenly started chasing after both of us. She had a sort of spray can and threw a gas against us. I feared the gas could be toxic, so I tried my best not to breathe it. As we started running, I noticed it wasn't so hard for me as it normally is in a dream. It's a common dream sign of mine to be chased after and not be able to run because I feel my body is really heavy, and I may even see myself crawling on all fours. This dream sign made me have my last lucid, and in this particular dream, it almost did as well. I thought to myself "it isn't such a struggle for me to run in this dream", but somehow I didn't become fully lucid and the dream just followed as a regular non-lucid. Anyway, it's good that I noticed, at least.

    5. 3/7/14 - small spider

by , 03-07-2014 at 08:07 PM (Leaving the matrix)
I'm not in this dream, just watching these two DCs interact. This old man looking to be in his 80's to 90's turn the corner into this room where a young girls looking to be 8 or 9 is sitting halfway out the window staring outside. The old man asks her when she wants him to take her home, but then the little girl starts jumping, and screaming and whimpering. The man asks her what's wrong, she whimpers that it bit her, then the little girl runs to another corner of the room. The man worriedly follows and asks her where it is, then she points on her lower torso of her pink windbreaker material jacket. Then the old man saw that it was only a small black spider and he smashes it between his two fingers and the girl seems to calm down. She goes and looks out the window and points outside to the right and says the spider made a tit corner over there. Then the old man confused asks what a tit corner is, then I woke up.
    6. Non-lucid flying and mantra song

      by , 03-05-2014 at 09:12 PM
One of my students has wandered off and I need to find him. He is not wearing shoes and it has started to rain. I set off to find him, walking down a nice grassy hill in the rain. I come to a street, it has no sidewalks, is in somewhat shabby shape and has beautiful mature sycamore trees planted along both sides of it. There are many branches that hang over the road. I start to flap my arms, bird style. With this flapping, I rise into the air and fly from branch to branch. I am singing the mantra of Avalokiteshvara as I fly. I recognize that there is something strange about flying, but rationalize it thinking "I am really only about 10-20 feet off the ground, its not like I am really flying." There is some manner of transition and I am back at the house where the dream began. My student has returned safely.
    7. Entry #4: Part I: The Wonder-Joint

      by , 02-26-2014 at 06:26 AM
      (2/24/14)

I don't remember how I got here, and I'm pretty sure that 5 seconds ago I was somewhere else... But this doesn't seem to matter to my dream self—staring out the car window as we drive past farm after farm after farm...
"Where are we going?" I ask, eying my mother as she practically vibrates in her seat from excitement.
"You'll see," she says, and upon seeing the skepticism apparent in my frown, adds, "don't worry, you'll like it."
      I'm not convinced.
We drive past another three farms.

About a minute later mom pulls into a dirt driveway for a rather rundown, two story farm house composed of rotted grey wood and just about nothing else. Sitting on the porch steps is my cousin Courtney. I'm surprised but pleased despite myself. Which is also surprising. I get out of the car and run toward Courtney who stands to catch my hug. She looks genuinely surprised as well, but also pleased.
"What are you guys doing here?"
"I heard you were having an event today so I thought we'd come support you," Mom says from behind me.
I take Courtney's hands in my own and whisper excitedly to her, "Will I be able to see all the pets that I've been liking photos of on Facebook?"
She smiles sweetly at me and squeezes my hands, "Definitely, they're all here, hanging around." She lets go of a hand to motion around her arbitrarily.
I smile back but can't help myself and my smile turns into a grin as I think that within the next hour I'll be frolicking with Daisy the deer and her two new foals. Courtney squeezes my hand once more then lets it go, successfully distracting me from my day dream...in my dream...
"If you'll excuse me," she says, "I have to go grab the things for the event."
She retreats up the steps and I turn to Mother expectantly.
"Courtney has been talking about this for months, whining and griping, trying to get everything set for it. I thought we should come and support her," She explains. I shrug. I'm fine with it. After all, if we make good use of our time I may have time to wrestle with Ringo the raccoon before nightfall. Though, somewhere in the back of my mind I know that there is a reason we don't visit Courtney more often. I just can't seem to remember what it is...
Courtney comes back with a box of dried leaves and tobacco paper, two other guys tailing her down the steps. One, I know, is her boyfriend. The other I come to understand as one of those sidekick type friends who is always hanging around but never really says much.
They sit down together on the steps and I sit down on the lower step in front of them, peering curiously into the box. Mother chooses to stay standing. Courtney takes some of the dried leaves from the box, rolls them into the tobacco paper, then hands to me what appears to be the last 1/5th of a self-rolled cigarette. It is... so tiny... I wonder to myself if I will actually be able to smoke it without burning my lips.
      "...What is it?" I ask.
      "Pot, " Mother says.
I look up at her, eyebrow raised. Her response is to gesture to the mini-joint pinched between my fingers. I shrug, put it to my lips, and Boyfriend gives me a light. I give the joint a pull and in a bright puff of smoke and light it disappears into oblivion. I blink my eyes, then exhale the smoke I did manage to take in.
      Nothing happens.
"I've never smoked pot before. This is... weaker than I thought it would be." I frown at my empty hand, still confused as to what the hell just happened.
Courtney just smiles, then hands me another one-hit-wonder joint.

We all smoke and talk together, and after a while I feel a slight wooz coming on and my head feels light like its being filled with helium. I can't decide if I like the feeling. I realize I have to pee and Sidekick offers to show me to the restroom. He leads me to the second story of the rundown farm house, which is apparently a loft, and points to the restroom across the room on the far side of the bed. I use it, and when I'm done I exit to find Sidekick tapping away on the computer, obviously doing something that requires a reasonable amount of focus. Not wanting to distract him, and not really wanting to go back down to the others yet, I take instead to jumping on the bed. The bed is soft and springy and with each jump I am launched ever farther into the air. At first I think it's just the drug, making me feel light like a balloon, which is causing me to believe that I am jumping higher and higher. But when my hands brush against the peak of the A-frame ceiling I realize with a start that I really am 20 feet up in the air. As I fall I honestly believe that I won’t live to see another day. But with an, “oomph!” and the squeak of springs I hit the mattress and sit up, bewildered.
“Note to self, never do that again.”
“Probably for the best,” Sidekick says.
He stands from his spot in front of the computer and starts to make his way toward the door. I swing my feet off the bed to follow him but before I can stand up the scene suddenly changes and I find myself in another room, my own room, by myself, sitting on the bed. I don’t remember how I got here, and I’m pretty sure that 5 seconds ago I was somewhere else… But before I can pursue the thought further my mom bursts in the door and I’m pulled back into the dream moment as I turn to her, startled, and wait for her explanation.
    8. Lucid flying

I am at a long dinner table eating with people from work. We are discussing new assessments. I express thinly veiled disdain at the idea of more testing. I am worried that they will think ill of me for holding such ideas. One colleague has a University of Northern Kentucky marching band costume on. A bottle of wine is produced.

I step outside of my paternal grandparent's house. It is night. I walk down the driveway into the street. Everything is dim and shadowy. I recall my previous dream and realize that I am now dreaming. Lucid, I break into a run and leap into the sky. I remember mid jump that I should RC and stabilize the dream. I try to get my hands together. I am tumbling through space. I can't control my hands. I bring them up to my face and frantically try to rub them together. No dice. I wake up.

WBTB (5 min) + MILD produced this. Second in as many nights.

I have no aspirations to fly. I have no idea why this occurred. It was almost instinctual.
    9. Entry #3: Co-Starring with Chris Pine

      by , 02-19-2014 at 07:42 AM
      (2/18/14)

The woods are quiet this deep in and the log cabin we've set up to film in couldn't be any more tiny and rickety. I think its mildly cliche, but what's a good horror movie without its cliches? The director shouts "Action!" and I'm about to deliver my first line when an ear-piercing scream interrupts me. As cliche as that is, it wasn't written in. The next thing I know, Zombies are flooding the set and Chris Pine and I are struggling to escape the tiny, rickety, death trap in an effort to preserve our lives. Chris Pine sprints toward his motorcycle and I sprint after him because he's Chris Pine and if I'm going to die I want it to be in his arms. We reach the bike, he pulls on his helmet and hands me another which I hastily strap under my chin as he starts the bike. I manage to grab his leather jacket just as he takes off and we're speeding down the road. Behind us, a few of the set crew have made it to their cars as well and I notice a blue mini-van and a black SUV following us down the curvy forest road.

We drive for no more than 3 minutes before we come to a downed tree in the road. There's no way around. Chris Pine leaps off the bike, throws off his helmet and disappears into the tree line. I know where he's going because I can hear it too and I'm right on his heels as we surge toward the sound of water in hopes that its something we can swim across (because everyone knows Zombies can't swim). Breaking through the tree line we both stop short as a vast expanse of ocean stares back at us from the edge of a rocky beach. The rocks on this beach are huge, like boulders, and the water halfway up on all sides. We can't swim across the ocean, but we can't stay here either because the Zombies are right behind us, so as the others from the set crew stumble out of the trees, Chris Pine and I start leaping across rocks.

Being much taller and in much better shape than all of us, Chris Pine spurs into the boulder-leaping lead and we all follow suit. Young and agile, Chris Pine and I manage to make good time, but some of the older folks in the group start to fall behind. I don't want to leave them, it seems too heartless, and Chris Pine is too far ahead to notice whats happening so I call out to him, "Chris!" He stops and turns around, to my relief, and his eyes widen as he sees how much the others are struggling. I can see him trying to come up with a plan then and there and, in that moment I wonder if, when he plays Captain Kirk, he is actually acting or just being Chris Pine. Then he's leaping back across boulders to help a heavier woman scramble up the slick rock face and farther back I can see the Zombies begin flooding from the treeline not 500 meters away. "Amy!" Chris Pine is trying to get my attention and, as I turn back to look at him again, I wonder to myself why he his calling me Amy instead of by my name. Maybe he misheard me when I said it. I occurs to me that Amy is the name of my ostracized Aunt and I hope to myself this isn't Fate's way of being symbolic. Then I remember he's calling me Amy because that was my character's name in the movie we were shooting before this all went down.

My name was Amy, and his name was Vlad. I consider for a moment calling him Vlad, as he is calling me Amy, but discard the idea as it seems more natural to call him Chris because he really does look like a Chris. This, of course, all passes through my mind in a matter of seconds, and just as I am about to leap back to help Chris Pine help the woman, I freeze, Chris Pine stiffens, and the woman's eyes go wide in horror as a man farther up the beach bank and closer to the tree line gets devoured by a Zombie.

      Non-Lucid

It's a couple of dream fragments from the same dream.

My family is in Central Texas, but there's a river there. That never happens. There was a big rock in the middle, and my family is talking about how awesome it is to be back in America.
An image with a Minecraft skeleton in the same river.
      There's a badger swimming i n the river.
I'm in a cafe, picking badger hairs off a book.

My mental manipulation to remember a dream worked!

      Non-lucid.
      fragments.
I'm in a sandy beach-type area, with a boardwalk / Hut structure covering the beach. I'm here on the boardwalk with people I vaguely remember from high school, acquaintances, people whose faces I remember; but not their names.

I am on the sand, fighting someone who I don't recognize. I win, and proceed to kick sand in his face..
I spit on him, and proclaim " eat it!"
As I walk back onto the boardwalk, my old classmates seem to look at me with fear and resent, they step away from me as I go up the stairs.

Iits strange how well this dream captured the way I felt about high school.

      non lucid.
me and my girlfriend left the television on the entire time we slept, so it was stuck on Comedy Central all night. I believe this to be the cause of the following dream :
I'm in a theme park-esque town with a lot of my friends, the colors are all very vivid.. the entire dream revolved around working out for some reason. I felt as if I was in a fitness plan commercial, or some kind of p 90 x ad. I could even here inspirational music at times, usually accompanied by an emotional part of the dream.
I awoke to find the TV blaring workout infomercials, I suppose this was the reason for my dream being so ridiculous.

      No lucidity.
      False Awakening.

I awaken to find myself sleeping in my girlfriends bed, it is dark. The air is cold outside the covers. For just having awoken, I feel very alert. I feel my body tense up, something else is in the room.
Here the dream becomes slightly third person, and I can see the nightstand beside our bed. Something is sitting on it, a small mass of dark tendrils. Only a second passes in this vision, I am now seeing through my own eyes again.
The creature jumps from the nightstand to the back of my head. There it wraps its tendrils around my skull, my body is filled with a feeling much like sleep paralysis: A vibration, intense and encompassing. I cannot move.
Here I awaken in our bed.

      Journal Entry non-lucid #4 Dream, non-dream (Comments)
Background: I went to sleep hungry for the first dream.
Dream fragment 1 from 8pm-11pm" Disturbing mediators ": I was entering a car race. The authorities at the race were doing background check to make sure that terrorists don't get in. Once we were allowed to come in, they gave us tanks. We had a sargent, and he told us that our mission was to defend a basket of cookies & milk. I didn't complain because I was hungry and I wanted those cookies and milk. All these people appeared and they had cookies and milk. They were from a meditation group. We came out of the tank, and greeted them. I was getting prepared to meditate, but the people that came as a meditation group disturbed everybody else; they played loud and obnoxious music, this horrid version of some dub-step. The girl in charge kept telling them to calm down but they didn't listen.

Dream fragment 2 11pm-3am" Eavesdropping Spider": The earliest memory I have was with me and my dad we were on top of a hill and this women was drunk. A successful women, drunk and belligerent. We didn't want her to do anything reckless and kept telling her not to drive drunk. Later on while we are walking. I found this piece of contraption, it was suppose to control everything in the world. My dad asked me if I could teach him how to work it, I told him I don't know yet and I will find out. There was this manikin and I commanded it by the machine to move back and forth, simple commands at first. Then I started making it dance. My dad said, "what is this? you made it too complicated. How can I learn that?" I kept telling him that he will not understand. I made couch, located in the middle of the street, levitate. I found a key inside of it and I gave it to my dad. My dad's face lit up with happiness. As he was celebrating a spider from the couch ran across my body, a big spider maybe about an inch long. The spider was covered with eyes and its legs were red. It didn't bit me, but it squirmed around me. I finally flicked it and it tried to run. Luckily, I trapped it in a bottle. It stuck it's eye out the bottle like those old unrealistic classical cartoon shows. After the incident with the spider, the environment changed into my house. My sister walked through the door and told me that she was going to see old church friends, and she asked me if I wanted to join her, I replied yes. She had an argument with my dad before we left though. I tried to break the ice by mentioning the eavesdropping spider, which had his little eye popping outside the bottle looking at us. They laughed and forgot about the incident. Me, my sister, and old friend, Big Am, were walking together. We met this random enthusiastic man, we walked with this man and met the couple from "Never Let me go" the guy from Amazing Spiderman worked on that movie. Well I said hi to the couple and we walked away with the enthusiastic man, he was so happy to see us that he introduced us to his wife. She was waiting in line at the post office. For some reason they gave out post office like movie tickets from a window and you wait outside. I said hi and quickly moved because a lot of people were waiting in line. This women asked me if I was in line I said no. She then started handing out grades like teachers do in school. I saw some old friends there and they were upset that they didn't do so well. I was now inside my room and Bt was in the room with me. I was talking about mathematics with her. I told her about the complexity and flexibility of mathematics, precisely Calculus II. she told me she knows. She said it used to be one step or two step to solve a problem, but now you have 5 steps to solve one simple problem. I told her about the class I am going to take Calculus III and how the teacher is a tricky old Asian guy. I made a joke that she didn't quite get I said, "he presents problems like Confucius, a riddle".

      Journal Entry non-lucid #3 Dream, non-dream (Comments)
Background: "A Boy and his dog" dream, was dreamed up because I watched a YouTube clip called "Don't hug me I am scared-time". The rest of the dreams I have no Idea where they come from. I am not a paramedic and I have no actual problem with people in waking life. To come to think of it I had some problems with people on GTA 5, I kept killing them they got mad and started calling me names.

Dream fragment 1 "Paramedics saves lucid dreamer": I was driving an emergency vehicle, as a paramedic. Me and my partner got a call for a job. As we were in a freeway we see another paramedic respondent. The other paramedic starts ramming our car. I was shocked at first thinking that we were going to help each other, but since they kept ramming, I started ramming back. We beat them to the spot. My grandmother was at the scene. We asked her where is the person that needs our assistance. She points us to the body, it was a child just laying there. They put a blanket on top of his head because they thought he died. I opened the blanket and said, "people should stop calling with false reports. He was just trying to have a lucid dream". I woke up upon realizing what I said.

Dream fragment 2 " Uninvited guest": I was at the school and I was hanging out with my friend, just for my own reference I will call him Ed. I started walking to him and I noticed all these people watching me. They looked pissed off, as if I did something to them. I was talking to Ed and I started speaking loud so that they could hear. I said, "Yeah remember that guy, I heard (this...and that)". Basically it was to intimidate them. If they knew that I knew a guy that was tougher and more "gangster" than them they would just leave us alone, since it was like 5 vs 2.

Dream fragment 3 "A Boy and His Dog": (I was a spectator in this dream, I am only watching what is happening.) This dog and this boy were together. The boy tells the dog that he is going to die. He takes the dog upon a mountain. The mountain was red from the flaming volcano inside of it. The boy picks up the dog and raises him up high. He tells the dog that this is good bye. He tells the dog you will be a mayan god. He looked at dogs eyes and said, "you will die and burn ". (I think he tossed him in volcano or something) the dog skin got incinerated, and i could see the tendons and meat on his face. It was pretty gory. Even though this happened to the dog, the dogs first and last words to the boy was "I still love you". The boy felt guilt for what he has done. He was now inside of his house. He was a dog or dog like (I don't remember exactly). A dog investigator showed up and started asking him all of these questions. The boy tried to act like he was doing some calculus problems. I really wanted the boy to get caught and pay for his crime, but I got zapped out of the house and was now spectating outside the house. I saw this old 1930s car pull up and here comes Harry Potter and the cast. The old man, the weird creepy guy, all of them were there. They were trying to get the blond creepy kid from Harry Potter, to commit crimes such as stealing cars. The old wizard said," I don't even know who's car that is?"and he started laughing.
