    1. LD: Flying through the clouds at night and eating cheesecake

      by , 02-04-2012 at 08:15 PM
I had a lucid dream last night after a dry spell.

      Dream:

I can't remember where I was, but I lifted up something and saw two black widows. One was really big and the other was smaller. I watched them for a moment. Then I started to notice that one looked strange. It looked more like a stuffed animal than a real spider. It suddenly dawned on me that I was in a dream, that finally something odd had triggered lucidity!

The first thing I did was to fly up in the air. I enjoyed the feeling of the wind moving against me. Then I remembered what I had been thinking before bed--that if I had a LD, I would eat something really good, because in real life I am on day 6 of a juice feast, and I know in the past I have used LDs to satisfy desires for foods I am not eating IRL.

So I flew down and saw a fridge. I opened it hoping for something really tasty to be inside. I was disappointed to find that it had mostly condiments and a doxen eggs. Finally I willed something to appear..and there on the top shelf was a plate of cheesecake. I grabbed the plate and put a piece in my mouth. It was lemon cheesecake with a layer of solid dark chocolate on top. I was quite happy that this is what appeared. I stuffed piece after piece in my mouth. I was a little disappointed that my sense of taste was less than normal. But all in all it was satisfying.

Before finishing the plate I decided I wanted to fly again. So I took off. Above me I could see clouds. It had been a while since I had flown up to the clouds. I kept flying as fast as I could and finally entered the cloud. For a few moments I couldn't see anything. Then I popped out in a space in the middle of the cloud. The space was like a cave becasue I could see a place to exit the cloud on one side. So I flew up and through the hole and saw to my excitement that I was about to come up to the top of the cloud. The sky had light but was dimmer than sunlight. I realized that it was light from the full moon. I couldn't have been happier.

So I burst out over the top of the cloud and could see the whole top of the cloud glowing in the moonlight. I flew over the cloud for a while, then I wished I could just lay on the cloud, so I tried. I found that the cloud felt like a fluffy sheepskin blanket. I rolled around on it for a while. It was quite warm and so comfortable. Finally I rolled to the edge and hung my head over and looked down. I then let myself roll head first down off the cloud and enjoy the sensation of falling.

      And that's all I remember.

    2. Long LD using senses

      by , 09-01-2011 at 05:48 PM
I had a super long Lucid Dream this morning. I did a WBTB and had the LD between 5:30 and 6:30am. The problem is that it was so long and that I did so many things that I don't remember the excact order of or transitions between all the things I did. But I will share what I remember. And I do remember that it was a very enjoyable time.

      Lucid Dream:

I think my dreams started with being in a cave. The water was a beautiful clear glowing green like Lake Powell, yet I was enclosed in a multi room cave. I was talking on my phone to Tia and I kept getting distracted and would forget to talk for long periods of time until she would say, "Are you still there?" and I would have to apologize. I was floating on what might have been an innertube. At one point I remember floating to a waterfall between rooms and deciding to hover over the waterfall instead off falling.

That may have been the trigger for lucidity.

I remember flying up to a tree like I did in my last LD and touching the branches. I wanted this LD to really count, and I felt that the best way was to really "feel" it by using my senses. I remember really paying attention to the feel of the wind and movement as I flew. I was very pleased at how real this felt. (Sometimes when I look back at my flying experiences I can't remember if I really felt anything and then it doesn't seem very fun or real).

I flew down to the road and saw some rocks in the gutter. I hovered down really low and picked up a pebble sized rock in my lips and tried to taste it. It seemed to taste just like a rock. I then started to bite it with my front teeth. It crunched and melted like tiny ice chips.

I then flew down very low along the street. I pushed my first finger down on the asphalt as I flew. It got hot and felt burned. When it was too painful I pulled it off and looked at it. It was blackish and shiny.

I remember being on a rooftop and flying around from rooftop to rooftop. Some of the buildings were unusual. I can't remember why I thought that--only that I did. There were people on the roofs working on them. No one noticed me.

At some point I was indoors and I looked in the mirror. I felt I looked completely normal. But that was disappointing. So I changed my looks. When I was done I looked about a quarter black and three quarters caucasian. I had wavy hair that was shoulder length and blond with dark roots. My skin was olive toned and I had big brown eyes and full lips with a small chin. I thought I looked gorgeous. I pulled up my shirt and saw that my breasts were bigger (haha--why do I always do this?)

I flew around again looking like this and with my shirt pulled up. No one had seemed very impressed with my flying before. Maybe they would notice me now. I think I got a few glances, but it was still disappointing.

And at this point this is all I remember.

    3. The House Party - 9th

      NON-DREAM DREAM LUCID

My family had a lot of people over, mostly relatives but I didn't recognise anyone. They were mostly old, there were women with greying hair who looked frail, and a couple of old men. We sat in the loungeroom and watched some sort of movie, with lots of food on the coffee table. I don't think I was very interested in the movie.

There was one man there I recognised - who looked like an older version of one of my ex's dads. I walked up to him and shook his hand, telling him I'd never mis-recognise someone from their family. There were two small dogs who I played with throughout the dream. I recall there being small clumps of dog hair under the coffee table, and we were suspicious that they had been fighting with the cats. I went and got one of the dogs from out in the family room, picked him up and bought him out into the family room. He was noticably scared of Kitty & Merlin.

It was time for everyone to leave, and they all left out the front door, and as I was left alone in the loungeroom, the dream fades to darkness.
I wake up in the loungeroom, alone. It's night, pitch black outside with lots of stars in the sky. The light is on in the loungeroom. Something seemed odd to me - but nothing in particular, I counted my fingers. 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7 wait - my fingers are branching off one another. I went to recount and my fingers just kept on generating and branching. Cool! I did a nose RC just incase - wow, I'm dreaming!"

I felt as though I was in a hurry, quickly I decided to try and teleport - imagining myself standing in the hallway. I was trying to do it too fast, and not trying properly and so I failed. I started looking for Dad again for some reason. I tried to summon him, I think and it failed. I then saw the reflection of him standing up wearing his cap out in the hallway from the window. I went to check and he wasn't there.

I realised how fast I was going and slowed down, stabilised. I grabbed the wall and touched it, looking around the room. The old TV cabinet was in the front window, and was also in the bar area where it used to be - cool. I wanted to use my sense of taste - and so I flick-summoned an apple into my hand. At first I couldn't feel it, but as I raised my hand up to my mouth I decided on a slice of apple instead of the whole thing. I took a bite, it was sweet and delicious, and made a satisfying crunch. I intensified the sweetness using my mind.

My eyes started to feel tired, and I noticed they had sleep in them. I noted that I had better not shut my eyes too much or I ran the risk of waking up. I simply scratched at the sleep with my fingernails, but at one point did shut my eyes. As I opened them, my eyelids opened in real life, and I was fully awake. Oops.

      WBTB Lucid Dream:

I don't remember exactly what triggered lucidity. I was in a strange house and something didn't seem right and I decided to fly. As soon as I did, I knew that I was definitlely in a dream.

The first thing that popped into my mind was "cake". I wanted to eat some cake. In real life I had had quite a few situations lately where people were eating cake around me and I couldn't because I am trying to lose that last 7 pounds or so.

So I thought, "Finally--I'm going to have CAKE!"

I knew I was pretty good at just thinking about bad food and then instantly finding it. And that was the case now. I looked below where I was hovering and there was a plate with a vanilla creme cake. A first I was a little disappointed that it wasn't a killer chocolate cake. But as I flew to it, it looked very good. I picked it up. It was a whole cake, round, two layered and slightly on the flat side. I put it to my mouth and put my tongue out to taste it. To my horror, there was no flavor. I then shoved a big part of the cake into my mouth and moved it around over my tongue and taste buds. Finally the flavor started to come out. The creme layer in the middle was especially good. I ate the whole cake in about three bites.

I started to fly around again. I don't remember much at this point. I either had a false awakening or my thoughts drifted away from lucidity.

But then at some point I thought about cake again. Wait a minute--I was still dreaming, right? I looked in front of me and there was another identical cake. I was so happy to still be dreaming and also lucid. I picked up the cake and enjoyed eating the whole thing again.

Later (or maybe this was in that in between cakes part) I remember being on my roof and looking over the edge and seeing the Grand Canyon in front of me. I thought about how it would take bravery to run to the edge and jump right off and into the Canyon. I was almost too afraid to try, but finally I got the courage and ran to the end and put my arms out and just let myself fall.
I don't remember any more details.

Haha...I'm sure that everyone who reads my all food dreams thinks that I am a total pig. And I really do seem that way in these dreams. It's just nice to really let go and pig out. And it's probably really good for me if it keeps me from doing so in real life.
    5. Poison Dart

      October 26, 2005

A dart came flying towards me so in a frantic attempt to not get hit by it I smacked it down to the floor. It was filled with a liquid that was silvery like mercury. I broke the dart open, and touched the silvery liquid. I then decided to taste it for some reason. When it touched my tongue my whole body went numb and limp and dropped to the floor. Might I also mention that when my body went numb, a really strong vibration took over my body. I saw my dad standing there and he was just looking at me. I then proceeded to tell him, "This stuff is cool." Then it faded.

    6. lucid Dream #20

      Lucidity: 8/10
      Vividness: 7/10
      Length: ~5 Min.

I was walking around in what looked like a casino and a girl with sweets walked up to me. She didn't say anything. I took a chocolate and followed her, I said "hey, wait. Where are you going?" She sat down on a bench. She didn't look to good so I imagined her to be hotter and she was. So I started trying different foods. I tried this giant rose that tasted like ice cream. It was so good. I was thinking about waking up and started to get scared. But instead of waking up. I lost lucidity. The End.

I had a dream about pancakes and waffles. Yes. I could taste the pancakes very well and they came in different flavors; but lets start from the beginning.

I was walking on a bridge, torn apart, barely hanging by the steel wires and supports. Little islands of concrete floating on the steal strands on the bridge. Next to me, I see people riding motorcycles with a floating text above their heads which stated an addon for Left 4 Dead 2. Suddenly, more ads for Valve games started appearing, then I noticed a small bar across the bridge. When I got to the bar, I found they were serving pancakes and waffles. This was a crowded bar and I finally managed to grab a seat. As I looked at the prices, I noticed it was in the thousands and there were Japanese letters next to the price. The currency was sand, so I assume we paid in grains.

This is a little chart I remembered from my dream. It's the price list:

      PANCAKE: 3500, 15000 [Japanese letters/words]
      CARAMEL: 3600, 4100
      CHOCOLATE: 3800, 4600
      [Various other flavors] [Prices]

I'm not sure how we were supposed to count the grains of sand in order to pay, but it makes perfect sense in a dream, so the amount just sort of appeared when I let the sand hit the bar.

I also noticed about the bartender, he is the same bartender in the embassy lounge in Mass Effect. Except this bartender was wearing a Hawaiian shirt.

Anyways, weird dream. Tasted good though :]

    8. More Cooking and Some Peanut Butter

      by , 08-06-2010 at 06:19 AM
I now have a dream goal: I will sing in a Renaissance choir.

Robby's house. Lots of people over. Why??? Can't remember. They stayed overnight so I wanted to make them breakfast, but Robby had no real food in the house. I looked all through his fridge, freezer, and pantry.

OMG I tasted something! First time that's happened. We were all chatting about taste in dreams before the last class. It was peanut butter. I think. Tasted like peanut butter, right consistency, but a little too light and it had sesame seeds in it. I'd say tahini but definitely tasted of peanuts. I actually tasted it to find out what it was.

Anyway, I brought bananas around to the guests. There weren't many so they got half bananas. Lloyd was there. There were two bunches of different ages, but they were joined at the top. Which is impossible 'cause one was fresh and one was old. In fact when I started peeling an old one it turned out they'd rotted from the inside. They were mostly liquid (and sesame seeds, for some reason).

Food prep was taking a long time and I felt bad (second time that scenario's happened in the past two weeks). I couldn't find anything useful.

I went into a space behind the kitchen. It was like a barn. And the drawer with all the condiments was way up high. When I looked again it was not a drawer but rather a trash can suspended with bungee cords. There was another trash can on the floor that I used as a step stool to get to it. I was in heels so it was very difficult.

I was frustrated by the impracticality and disorganization of Robby and his family. I'd happ8ily cook for everyone but with all these people coming over meals should have been planned and shopping lists executed. They'd probably just order delivery. Crap food for too much money.

There was an earlier dream that I've almost completely lost. I woke up right after it and thought, "What an awesome, epic dream. I should write it down right now." Then I went to sleep and promptly forgot the whole thing. All I remember is that I was on a tall building. It was cold, and there was a woman with a sword. I remember flying in some kind of ship that was about to crash. So epic and exciting but totally gone.

At one point I read and the words were not at all garbled. I was reading the Wikipedia page on IRC commands. I remember the letters in the heading of each section being bold and clear. Next time I'm reading, I'll remember to do a RC.

      Missed dream signs:
      -Sesame seeds in bananas.
      -Drawer transformed into trash can.
