1. Lots of Dreams that Keep Continuing a Story

by , 10-16-2014 at 04:55 AM (Sharpshoey's Lucid Journey)
Dream 1
My dad and I are going to one of my friend's house to do something. I have a ton of homework to do so I have to be quick. When we get inside, I see my uncle is in handcuffs and has been arrested. Me and my dad break him free of the cuffs. Then me and my dad get back in the car and go to a water park type thing. We have our own swimming room and I am doing my homework in there. My dad is helping me. I see my friends doing tricks down a slide and I join them. I have to slide down the side and land in a small pocket on a thing in the water. I went head first and completed the challenge. There were a few other challenges I had to do and in between I would go back to the room and work on my assignment. Afterwards, I drove us home and I couldn't seem to stop the car before a red light so I had to go through it and I also couldn't turn very well. To turn a little bit it took me a long time.

Dream 2
I am at my house and K, S, and someone else are there as well playing a game. They are working on a school project together. S keeps hinting that K likes me. (I used to have a little crush on K) Someone who is older then comes over and K lets him in. They then start studying with him. I go to bed.

Dream 3
Its the next day and I am in my sports marketing class. We have to hand in our assignments that day and I get scared because I didn't have it done. I had regret that I didn't work on it more the last few days. The teacher says we have five minutes to complete it so I rush really fast to get it all done. I cut some things out and then go on you tube because I need to watch a video to get some pictures. (We needed five or six pictures of someone) I had all the pictures but they all changed to pictures of something else so I had to get new pictures. The video switches to a criminal talking. I think he is threatening me. Then T, who is older, grabs a TV and mounts it on the wall so everyone can watch something. It was previously on the floor and I wonder how he can lift it by himself and with only one arm. I also thought the teacher would get mad, but she didn't seem to care.

Dream 4
I was viewing a commercial where you can get an RH (Retirement home) or a PRH (Personal Retirement Home). (This may have been a commercial from the TV in the previous dream, but I'm not sure. It explained that in the retirement home, you could do whatever you wanted to. Except you have a 20 minute window where you can wash you clothes once a day and a 20 minute window for each meal. It interviewed a lady and she said that if you miss the window for meals you have to eat food that's basically frozen. She said she was always on time to meals but her husband had to eat a frozen meal once and he said it was horrible. (I have in my notes that Andy told her that information. That may have been a name or it was auto correct on my ipod. I'm not sure)

Dream 5
I am peeing and telling myself that it was helping me or something and I would pee, then stop, then pee again and I kept doing that. I then woke up and had to go to the bathroom really bad.

Royal Building Crumbles & Encountering the Minotaur (DILD)

NON-DREAM DREAM LUCID

This dream was most likely a continuation of one before, but because I put off on the recall for quite some time, I can’t remember it to exact detail. Though, I honestly felt the rest of the prior dream was necessary, as the plot itself seemed inconsistent, and would require too much speculation to see if there were any underlying reasons involved.

Judging by how I felt within the dream, I presumed it was a matter of escaping, and not looking back in fear of everything behind me being crumbled; in fear of being part of the destruction as well.

I’m running with a female that’s just about a few inches shorter than me, and has a visage and body composition of someone who is Asian. She reminded me of someone I know from work for some reason, though I felt this was another dream character that takes the form of multiple Asian females, and has a distinct “signature” if you will of someone I met in my dreams a long time ago.

But it didn’t matter on validating who’s who, so I focus more on keeping my feet active, and dodging whatever debris might come by. The environment itself is very spacious, and associating patches of recall I have of the previous dream, this area seemed to be have been a fanciful place to reside and communicate with others, mostly for exquisite banquets and luxurious entertainment most likely. But it also had some element of scholarly spirit as well, so maybe it had served doubly for that.

The walls consist of a faded maroon color diluted with other colors similar to it in the color spectrum; the roof consisted of a white and slightly milky vanilla color with a natural splattering of dust and age, and the flooring itself had a simple vanilla tile formatting.

I can’t make out the outfit I’m wearing in particular, but I’m presume it was fairly basic as it didn’t have the level of eye-candy, I guess. I do know that my companion I’m escaping with is wearing a basic red shirt and blue jeans, which seems odd for us considering the formal implications of the area we’re in right now. So I’m presuming that if she was wearing something casual than formal, I probably was wearing a black shirt and faded black jeans.

We’re running up some stairs that are probably 10 feet in width, and the grandiose composition of the building makes me wonder if we’ll ever get out of here. And if we’re going up inside of down as I would naturally imply an escape would be, it became more confusing, but going up was the only way we could go right now; otherwise, we’d just be dead corpses under heavy debris.

I can feel the vibrating and earth-quake-esque sensations all around by body, along with the random shifts in environmental movements. I stayed mostly on the right side of the curved stairs to get a wider view of the left just in case something weird happens, like, I don’t know, a Minotaur that should come out of nowhere trying to kill us by using the environment.

And the more I observe the environment, the setting seems to resemble interiors of Alcamoth in Xenoblade Chronicles. And with more bits of recall from the previous dream snapping back to my awareness, I do recall seeing several High Entia dream characters floating around somewhere.

They were like the image above, albeit paler, and seemed to have no colors applied to their existence; like a fading white color overlay.

At some point, to the left of us, a big hole is formed, and a giant Minotaur comes out of nowhere.

He has black hair, and his body is brown with a subtle hint of burnt orange, and he has glowing yellow eyes as well. His loin cloth is either black or brown, and he looks like he’s hell-bent to kill us. He immediately uses his hands to destroy part of the stairs we’re on, and when this occurs, everything suddenly changes. There’s too many things going on at once, and I am both horrified and bothered on what’s going on.

I can’t even tell if the female by me exists anymore, and I presumed she fell down into the seemingly bottomless pit by now. I do know that I’m still alive in the dream, and I was preparing to encounter the Minotaur. But I can’t recall what happens next, other than standing on top of the first apex of the stair set that was broken.
3. 10/15/2014

by , 10-16-2014 at 12:55 AM
So I dropped the ball today. I woke up a few hours after first going to sleep, and I had a dream fresh in my memory. But, I was lazy. I was tired. And I said to myself that I would just skip writing that one down… So I’ve pretty much lost it. I remember that it was based around work, which is what I’d been incubating before I went to sleep. I dream about work often though, so not sure if the dream was a result of the incubation or just a product of patterns in my dreams. Anyway, I was there, and I saw both Will and Tommy at some point. (Seeing them both in one night should have been a red flag that something wasn’t right, brain.) We were in the backroom, and I think unloading a truck at some point. It’s all I recall.

After that I think my brain must have said “screw it” and not bothered remembering anymore dreams today. Well, I suppose it’s possible that I Just plain don’t remember any. Though I can’t help but fear that it’s the result of me not writing that first one down. If I’ve learned anything in the last few days, it’s that what you tell yourself and how you feel about all this makes a HUGE difference. Positive thinking and keeping this at the forefront of my mind is how I’ve went from barely ever remembering dreams to remembering some every single day. So skipping one in the name of just not feeling like doing it could very well have had the negative side effect of making my brain not bother with remembering others. I’ll have to put some extra effort tonight and tomorrow into getting myself motivated to remember the dreams again.

I won’t let this happen again.
I will remember my dreams. I WILL.

^ I’ll probably repeat those two lines to myself 200 times in the next 15 hours.

Work On:
–Write down every dream the moment I wake from it. Every time.
–Work seems to be a reoccuring theme. Reality check often at work (especially in the back room).
–More reality checks when things seem strange.

4. Running Away/Chinese Restaurant

by , 10-15-2014 at 11:13 PM
I don't recall much of last night's dream but what I do remember is that me, my brothers and my cousins were supposed to take the train. We were trying to escape a evil organization that was trying to torture people in the city. But when we arrived in front of a building the dragon/monster was released. People started running around like crazy but I ran with my brothers and my cousins somewhere else. I think to the station. There we met groups of kids and people who were hiding out. I think after that I was talking to my mom about something. Than she told me to shade clouds on a piece of paper if I wanted to be forgiven. I shaded them like she told me to than left somewhere. I met up with a couple of dream characters who were supposedly my friends in the dream. We wanted to eat out and a guy suggested we eat at a Chinese restaurant. We went into one and it was big and packed. I couldn't find a table but took a plate so I could get food out the pots filled with food.I tried to pour a spoonful of beans but noticed I didn't get enough on my plate when I walked to the side. Than a guy from our group said "Here, let me help you." But I shouted no and pulled my plate back. I noticed how rude I was being than said"Okay, thanks." And gave him the spoon. He took it and was pouring it on my plate but his hands were shaking.I thought I scared him or hurt his feelings but I didn't ask him anything. We walked to the group but the table was full. The guy with me found a table for us though and we sat down. But something happened that made me walk up than go through a door. I thought about how much trouble I would be in if the restaurant owners saw me in their house through the cameras. Than I woke up.

5. Lucidity induction + control technique (foolproof method)

by , 10-15-2014 at 10:33 PM
After roughly 3 months of attempting to willingly induce lucid dreams through different methods such as WILD, DILD, WBTB, MILD, DEILD, and even attempting OBE induction I have gathered a method that to me is almost fool proof (it really depends on you). This is a fairly simple method with some requirements. The most important thing I've come to realize is that nutrition plays a huge role in DMT production, which I have personally found to be the most important factor for clarity, stability and vividness of dreams/LD's. That said, Sodium Fluoride is the WORST thing you could ingest if you're looking for the ability to lucid dream every night.

requirements:
-Self discipline
-Patience
-Dauntlessness
-Turmeric
-Dietary changes
-Meditation experience
-Headphones
-Computer
-Alarm
-Basic computer skills (for changing time limit of computer's "sleep" activation)

DIET:
Along with that: GMO's, Aspartame, Corn/soy, BHA & BHT, Bisphenol-A, Food Dyes, acid rich foods, white sugar, un-organic food. There are a lot more toxic additives that can be found in cheap foods throughout supermarkets around the world.. Those are all extremely dangerous substances which promote tumors, cancer, and all sorts of disease in the brain. Sodium Fluoride however is the #1 most toxic substance which literally calcifies your pineal gland, and stops the production of very important chemicals for your body (including DMT). You have to urge yourself to completely stop eating fast food such as MacDonalds, burger king, Subway, Presidents choice, anything like that. (ONLY ORGANIC)

I started eating completely raw vegetables (mostly) and organic produce for 2 months, and started noticing remarkable changes in my dream recall, vividness and overall experience.

If you're not prepared to take all of these necessary steps to improve your health, there is still something you can do to help de-calcify your dream inducing gland: Turmeric (curcumin). I use this technique every day (in the morning and/or at night before bed).

1: get a tablespoon or so of black pepper, eat it (drinking down with half a glass of purified water (no fluoride, or any additives at all).
2: get a tablespoon or so of chopped turmeric root, (drinking down with half a glass...^).
3: repeat.

Coconut oil helps a lot with this detox process.
You will notice major changes in your health within a week of doing this.

Combined with this dietary practice these next steps should be much easier.
Every night before you fall asleep in bed, say mantras which affirm your lucidity 10 times out loud. IE: "I will lucid dream tonight" (x10), "I am a master of my own dreams"(x10), "I control and manifest my reality"(x10).
This might seem silly, but mantras effect your subconscious in such a way that you might not be consciously aware of, however it is conditioning you in ways that you subconsciously are. (Don't skip)

[You can make up your own mantras which echo a certain intention, if you have a desire such as money, knowledge in a certain area, or anything like that you simply create a mantra that has the intent of already having that desire, as if you already achieved it. This effects your life in the same way mantras help you lucid dream (by feeding the subconscious with a goal that it attains and manifests into your life. ]

Every night as you are falling asleep, attempt to induce sleep paralysis by staying awake consciously but letting your body become heavy and embedded into your bed (symptoms of lying down motionless for longer then 20 minutes). This can be done by simply not moving, no matter how bad you want to, but thinking and keeping yourself awake. Sleep paralysis can help a lot with astral projection, but can also lead to lucid dreams. Keeping still for more than half an hour causes your body to feel as if it's contorting and twisting even though it is not, this can be very scary. Even worse loud vibrations and Hypnagogic and hypnopompic hallucinations follow which can be extremely frightening the first few times. (I personally saw 30+ sets of eyes looking at me while my body was (seemed to be) shaking violently). Once you learn to overcome the fear, the fun begins.

Most intense dreams occur in the morning, so WBTB is my preference for this technique.
This is the technique:

Wake up 3-4 hours before you normally do, get a pair of stereo headphones (not ear buds). These headphones don't need to be expensive or big but they need to be headphones. Make sure that when you wake up you are only out of your bed for no longer then 5 minutes. I don't know what others think of binaural beats but i have found (strangely) this one actually works. Don't take my word for it, see for yourself.

Plug your headphones into your computer (Not youtube-mp3.mp3 files) and turn the volume down to 5/100 or so (so you can hear it but it's not annoyingly loud). Lie down in your bed, with the headphones on and this video playing, and turn off your screen so there is no extra light, go to your computer settings and change the setting which puts your computer to sleep after 15 minutes of Idle, set it to NEVER (this makes your computer not go to sleep when you're asleep and not using it).

Now as you're lying down with the music playing softly, begin your sleep paralysis, and before you know it you will be dreaming. ( it will start as a daydream, and eventually perpetuate into a full on dream). Dreaming is literally intensified daydreaming, which anybody can do. However if you have never (really) meditated you won't realize how vital this is to dreaming. Meditation is really easy, and everybody does it every day. It starts as visualization, but as you get more emotionally immersed in it you get more disconnected from your other senses and the visualization becomes clearer. The same process happens every time you fall asleep, you start daydreaming and eventually forget it is a daydream which makes it seem as something apart from yourself (realistic). When you are in sleep paralysis you continue to lie there consciously thinking (daydreaming), and your day dream will start to become your reality. This transition is where most people fall asleep or forget they are dreaming, but you have to realize it's still only just a dream.

Something I've noticed is that Lucidity is hard to get, but easy to lose. If you become lucid you might notice the dream collapsing as soon as you get excited or start doing things. If this happens, don't move or open your eyes and attempt to fall asleep again with the previous dream in thought.

I've found a way to stabilize a dream without using anchors or affirmations such as "clarity now". You have to forget you are dreaming, and pretend that it's real at the same time (that's the secret). By pretending you don't know it's a dream, the state becomes realistic and continues. You have to understand that it is not real, but at the same time pretend it is (this keeps the dream flowing). From there you have full control over the dream and it can't end unless you start manipulating and manifesting beyond credibility. You have to "go with the flow" of it's realism and story, and you can alter the story as you move WITH it. This I have found is key for keeping a dream stable, Expectations, attention, and intentions pave the road to the next scenes you encounter. You really have to immerse yourself with everything that happens whether it is scary or amazing, this is because the more emotionally involved you get, the more realistic and vivid the dream becomes. Once you get used to the norm of manipulation it no longer becomes obsolete and starts fading into the flow of the dream state. This is simply because in dreams you have to work with what you have when you're a beginner, because creation is a bit too surprising to be considered "real" at first.

Doing this I have successfully become lucid in over 20 dreams almost consecutively, more importantly I have kept my lucidity.

Chased by a Piranha Plant (Non-lucid)

NON-DREAM DREAM LUCID

I was in a busy city and it was night as well as rainy. I was going to pick up my wife to go to the dealership to buy a new car. We had an old car, that looked something like this:

As I got into the car to trade it at the dealership, I noticed that it was a manual car and I had no idea how to drive it, plus the fact that it was an old car I did not trust it. As I started the engine, the car started moving so I was holding it on first. The car was slowly moving but it did not turn off, making me able to park it somehow.

As I got out of the car, I was in a small neighborhood (hence just moving a couple blocks from a busy city.) My car needed to be safe to sell it well, but there was a huge piranha plant trying to eat the car and I was worried he would catch me:

I attempted to drive, but the car did not start...
alarm clock woke me up.

NON-DREAM DREAM LUCID

I was living in a huge house, massively big in fact, because the den where I was was about the size of a football field. It was made out of wood and it felt like it was somewhat abandoned because the ceiling was falling appart. It looked like stables in a very bad shape, but for some reason we were living there and despite the condition of this house, we had high end furniture at it:

There were several kids living with us, I believe they were neighbors but they were living at the house with us. I was trying to get ready to do readings, as I had a lot of orders waiting, but the kids were making a lot of noise and I could not work.

I was pretty upset, as the first reading was a medium reading. I could see the Spirit who was my client's mom, and he was trying to communicate with me throught clairaudience but I was not able to hear him because all the noise that child was making.

I complained to my wife that I needed to work, but she said he was a neighbor and that I needed to wait.

Non-Dream Dream

Dream 1:

I am jogging through what looks like a bunch of freeways. One section in particular looks like the 405-101 interchange. There are a bunch of homeless people sleeping / living up against the fences on the side of the freeways. I encounter a young woman speaking to the homeless people and one of the guys offers to buy her car for $2000. I quickly intervene because I get the sense that these homeless people are trying to screw her over and I say something like "shame on you."

Dream 2: I am with my Dad (maybe whole family) in a one-street town. Can't remember much else about this one.

Dream 3:

I have a gigantic backyard and I am attempting to build a very large swimming pool. It seems to be about 20-30 feet deep and as large as an olympic sized pool. I believe there is also a gas station in my back yard. Several friends (I think - can't recognize them) and co-workers show up to help. One of my friends, a young woman, steps into the back yard and is not paying attention. She falls into the pool and I am terrified that she would fall all the way to the bottom. Luckily there is a large cypress tree growing in the pool and she grabs onto it and climbs out.

We all move inside to play an indoor baseball game. There are several coworkers there - especially from TA's group. Other people that are participating include SC and BW from work, my one year old son and Kevin Cosner. The game somehow involves us splitting up into pairs and my son was the pitcher for a brief moment until I realized it might be too dangerous for him. I don't recall who my partner is but we are very vocal and having a great time. Towards the end of the game TA confronts me and says something like "I was hoping this game would allow you to come out of your shell." This really pisses me off because my partner and I seem to be having the most fun. SC and BW were partners and weren't talking to anybody yet TA still decided to call me out. I start yelling at her and say she is a weird and awkward bitch and several other things I can't remember.

This is a dream I had several months ago. It was a pretty cool dream.
So I am with a group of archeologists and we are exploring this underground tomb/ruins. We find the door to the treasure chamber and inside, it is a huge room with a very high ceiling. The architecture is a combination of Sumerian, Egyptian, Mayan, and something else I don't know. On the floor of this room there lies a great quantity of treasure. Golden coins, jewel-encrusted cups, crystals of various kinds etc. etc. So everyone goes and picks up as much treasure as they possibly can. But I do not collect the various precious golden coins, but I search for the artifacts which grant the user various powers or that have some kind of scientific knowledge, like a crystal skulls and the like. These artifacts that I found, they look both very ancient and hi-tech at the same time.

10. The Life Changer

by , 10-15-2014 at 08:23 PM
The dream
It was just a normal very realistic non-lucid dream,i saw myself walking down the neighborhood allies leading to my old mid-school...the one that gave me new feelings i would never forget for my entire life.
in the way i was meeting the normal people i meet casually in my way: the butcher shop owner, the supermarket guy,the auto parts vendor, the dealership lady...ect.

So entering the school i kinda gasped the old memories of me being beaten by bullies, doing rushtime homework, preparing school projects...when i decided to leave the school after a nice vivid talk with the old school principal.

Heading down home i had a feeling that someone was watching me,it felt like it was a cold 5PM atmosphere where you get scared by the red clouds and cold breezes but the feeling kept haunting me,i was looking repeatedly behind me and no one was there until i reached home where i saw someone peeking a look at me at the end of the corner...i rushed toward it thinking it might be someone i know...but i was far beyond that.

There she is!
What i found almost gave me a dream heart attack but it felt so real that my heart still kept racing when i woke up and i couldn't talk:the silky brown hair and the white unforgettable skin with small eyes and round face...the deep red lips and the pink/black themed outfit literally made me shake even though it was the young version of her: my 1st crush.

What happened...
In real life back 4 years ago:she was my everyday enjoyment that drove me to reach a higher levels of education because it may looked like an uneducated any-guy type of girls to the other i had my faith that she was not and she realized it! thats what made what we have so special to the point of making private english sessions and trading relatively expensive chocolates everyday (young people stupidity).

But the thing is i thought one day that i might be more than a friend to her and i should take it a step futher...so i decided to ask her out: that moment i saw happiness in her eyes but somehow she hesitated and discussed it with her girl-friends and gave her a bad image about me so she refused...

i cannot forget the feelings that opened up inside me like a lion just got woken up by a zebra: all the muscles in my body got tensioned and i raged to the class breaking everything brutally but eventually someone stopped me and it didn't end well in the principal office.
i never saw her since then and only once 5 months ago which brought up again the same feeling.

A tendre kiss
back to the dream: i couldn't move thinking that i might rage and just injure her but at the same time something urged me to break every single bone of her body to avnege what she did to me...she was just staring at me with a simple smie while i was boiling in the inside.

after what it felt like forever she suddenly gave me a kiss on the cheek which felt so warm it instantly cooled me down and said: thank you! and goodbye!

i woke up sweating like a fountain and a racing heart....

11. Snakes in the leaves / Swim goggles / Problems at church

by , 10-15-2014 at 08:18 PM
At 10PM I had a glass of milk and went to bed, setting my alarm for 5AM. I have nature noises (river water + crickets) playing through my pillow speakers. Noises wake me at 11:15PM, but I promptly fall back asleep. A bad dream wakes me at 1AM.

Snakes in the leaves
I'm writing a fiery letter regarding a pastor and church building. In it, I say that I'd love to welcome him back as a friend, but that I'll fight him tooth and nail if I have to. I'm embarrassed about using such strong language, but I feel it's what I need to do. I'll be sending the letter off to Frank to get his opinion.

Now I'm on some church property trying to clean up a huge accumulation of leaves. I'm by myself, and I take a moment to savor my picturesque surroundings, with woods all around me and the old building off in the distance. Now the thick carpet of leaves has been turned into a bunch of big piles, some of which are now in bags. As I'm working, I consider myself fortunate that I haven't seen any snakes in this mess. Immediately after thinking about it, I see a brownish snake in the bag I just stepped over. It doesn't strike, but it does seem to be waking up and shaking off a stupor. It really blends in with all the dead leaves, and I thank God that I didn't step on it. As I back away from the bag, I become aware that there are a lot of these snakes around, all waking up, all starting to head towards me. I turn and run, then trip and fall. As I'm picking myself up, I see that one is coming straight at me. I manage to grab a bag and swing and throw it as hard as I can at the snake. It doesn't impede the snake at all, and I feel panic rising in me.

I wake up, heart pounding. I jump at every little noise I hear, and it takes about an hour to fall back asleep. My alarm wakes me up at 5.

Swim goggles
I'm standing on a platform in the middle of a pool getting ready to jump in. I've got my swim goggles on, but they don't feel right. I press them to my eyes and find that they don't suck on. I wonder if they're broken, but then I realize they probably just got dried out. I take them off and dunk them in the water, then put them back on, and they stick properly.

Problems at church
I'm at Frank's church before the service starts, waiting in the bathroom for the computer to become available. A well-dressed man (black, but with relatively light skin) is using it, and the longer I wait the more I suspect he's not going to give it up any time soon. Now I'm in the service, in the middle of singing a hymn. Mom is to my right, and my son is to her right. When the hymn is done, we all sit back down. My son is talking to a girl his age sitting to his right, so Mom shushes them. He tells Mom to be quiet, then turns back to his friend and keeps talking. I get back up, tell him to follow me, and leave the service with him.

13. Waltz in black and silver

by , 10-15-2014 at 04:58 PM
A young woman stands downstage center, facing the audience; she never turns around. She's performing a simple, faltering version of the whirling, intricate dance going on behind her - contemporary ballet, the entire troupe on stage behind her. Everyone is in black and silver and painfully beautiful. This is her dream we're seeing play out behind her, her ideal. But the music is melancholy, nostalgic even - it's a waltz in a minor key, reminds me of Dvorak. Starts with just a music-box-like piano, but the music swells as the dancers behind her become the focus, all strings. I get swept up in the overwhelming sound of it and the movement of the dancers, until in the end it gradually fades away again to those music-box-like piano notes. A woman's voice from offstage calls to her to come to bed, the sun has risen. I focus on her profile as she turns to look offstage, towards that voice; when I look behind her again, the dancers have vanished. She leaves the stage.

14. 10/15/2014 - "Mercenaries, Wolves and Savages"

"Mercenaries, Wolves and Savages"

Spoiler for Short Version!:

There was a vast military facility, set in a rocky, mountain terrain. An acquaintance and I were seemingly prisoners or captives on this base, and were sneaking around the yard in an attempt to make our escape. Our captors were more ruthless mercenaries than your standard soldier, and we knew that being caught again would mean certain death.

It didn't take long for the base to go on alert, upon realizing we were no longer where we should have been. Everywhere, squads of these men were mobilizing and searching frantically for us. One the closest end of the base was a wall with a framework of openings, but on the other side was a wide-open clearing, for miles. We could already hear the helicopters beginning to circle. We would be sitting ducks out there. The only way to safety would be to make it across the compound and to the opposite side, where the geographic conditions were much more conducive to escape.

Unable to keep ourselves hidden for much longer, we soon found ourselves sprinting and scrambling through the yard, dodging machine gun fire so close that I could actually feel the bullets tearing through my clothing and brushing my skin at times. Turning a corner - after having lost my companion, somewhere in the fray - I saw a large, metallic object wheeling itself around a nearby building. It was a tank, and the turret was already beginning to rotate in my direction. I broke into a lateral sprint, running as fast as I could, toward the closest structure. It was one of those moments where time stands still, and you're in just such utter terror that you are absolutely, positively sure you are going to die.

I heard the tank fire the shot, just before I was able to reach the corner. Luckily, the shell flew just a few feet behind me. I could sense it as it passed me before exploding, harmlessly, about a dozen yards away.

Still on the run, I happened upon an enormous crevice that led down into the ground, just outside of the military compound. It was a great gash in the earth, about the length of a large yacht, and it was apparently the entrance to a network of caverns which stretched deep below the surface. I climbed down to lower passageways and attempted to wait out my pursuers, thinking that I might have enough concealment down here to successfully get away. Then, I saw a silhouette on the wall. It was a wolf. A very large wolf. It was sniffing its way around toward me, but I was out of its line of sight and it hadn't yet noticed me.

Quietly, I began climbing back up toward the surface, out of the path of this beast, and started to weigh my dwindling options. Poking my head just above the surface, I was met not with the automatic weapons of the mercs that I believed were still searching for me, but with the sight of about five more wolves, sprinting down out of the nearby mountains and directly toward me at breakneck speed.

Frantically, I slid back down into the crevice and to the lower level. The wolf was there waiting, and I ended up having to fend him off with my hands, grabbing his snout as he lunged and grappling with him just long enough to slip away before the others could descend into the cavern behind me. (I think I killed it, but I'm not sure.)

Continuing further and further down, and just as I was beginning to feel that I had rid myself of the ferocious wolves, I found myself dropping into a wide open 'room' within the cavern. It was about the size of the underwater cavern in my dream from yesterday. This time, though...it was full of people. Primitive, indigenous people, who seemed as though they had been living here for eons. A lost civilization. And they all immediately stopped what they were doing and stared directly at me.

I was standing on some kind of pedestal or shrine, and surrounded by precious artifacts. The centerpiece immediately caught my eye: a large, gem-encrusted plate, in the shape of a skull, which looked like it had come straight out of an Indiana Jones movie. Suddenly, the air turned hostile, and this entire tribe began converging angrily upon me. I was off, again, instinctively grabbing up the skull-shaped relic and dashing off of the pedestal, running through the caves while they gave chase. Some of the natives also dealt in magic, because the last thing I remember is hoping from ledge to ledge while a handful of them threw glowing, blue spells at me, which exploded into bright splashes of hot liquid.

I don't think they ever caught me, though!

15. Manei tries to summon the Angelic Dwarven Guardian (LD #121), Destroying the Lucid Barrier (LD #122)

by , 10-15-2014 at 01:21 PM (Lucid Time!)
Well... good night last night. Took me an hour to type this up.

I was driving along in a mountainous region supposedly on some family vacation with my parents. The sky looks to be a very deep shade of blue and I think there were some planets in the sky. The mountains we are on don't look very earth-like either.
The mountains are made out of a light brown/tawny rock and covered in moss that seems to flow over them like water. Exotic fern-trees grow in some of the more level areas but the mountains are fairly jagged.
The road we are driving on is narrow (two lane) and built up on this really high end, futuristic looking bridge. Eventually I saw that we were coming up on a settlement in a valley.
It was a very small settlement. Two houses, one of the houses is very modern with a big glass wall on the front and a solar array on the roof. The other one looks older, being made of bricks with a circular drive out front. There is also an old fashioned well and a park with swings and a play structure.
My parents said that we had been driving for awhile and that we should pull over and eat lunch as a family in this park.
...

This somehow led me to becoming lucid. I ran into Manei, who had taken on a youthful form, she was about 8. She then turned and ran and I came after her. I chased her across the playground structure and she went down the slide.
"Come on! Go down the slide!"
"mmm... Ok."
I go down the slide, trying to rack up a little bit of dream stabilization along the way. I recall the slide being a reddish color, and having scuff marks on it. Before I reach the bottom, she says something else.
"When you get to the bottom, don't stop!"
I slide down and when I come off the end of the slide I go forward a little bit because of my momentum and land on my butt in the wood chips. For some reason I seem to sink into the wood chips.
"Good, I had to make sure you were still (able to act like a child). The Dwarven Guardians who run this place really like that."
"...?"
"I'm going to summon the Angelic Dwarven Guardian now. Now you won't be able to see him because (He exists across the fourth dimension), but (He will be standing right in front of you) you will be able to communicate with him through thoughts."
Manei changes into her base form (goes through puberty in a couple of seconds) and begin concentrating on summoning him. The dream begins to shift, I have a false awakening, or a scenery change, can't remember. Anyways, I'm in my bedroom. The wood chips I was laying in have become my bed. I lose some lucidity.

The dream scene changes again. I am now in the basement of my house, standing. Manei continues concentrating for a minute or two and then all four of our family's cats (including the dead one) show up. Our youngest cat is particularly interested in whatever she is trying to do. He meows and rubs against her leg.
"Rrrrgh! No! (Facepalms) That's not what I meant to do!"
The dream carried on for a minute as Manei became frustrated in her attempts to summon this being, and I just sort of stood there patiently waiting to see what exactly was going to happen. I began to feel like the cat, the young one was somehow a representation of the being we were trying to summon. I tried to lock onto the cats energy and he and I engaged in a staring contest. I could feel something else in there. I could see it in his eyes. I was about to tell Manei that she should change her approach when I woke up.

5:10. Let's go back.

I had a dream where I had gotten a job at a superstore, like Target or Wal-Mart. I was the Janitor and my job was to clean the interior windows on the office walls in the back. My boss (a grouchy, short, fat, black haired man) gave me a toilet brush that had been dipped in soapy water.
"Get your ass moving now!"
I walk into the back of the store and begin scrubbing the windows. I haven't been told that I have to dry them or anything, and wasn't given a towel, so I just scrub them clean. The first office is really easy, but the second office, for some reason, someone has splattered a muddy brown substance on the window. I couldn't tell if it was mud, chocolate, caramel, or *shudders* something worse.
Regardless, I'm the Janitor, and I guess they have to put up with stuff like this, so I just push past it. I start scrubbing but my brush gets contaminated with the muddy substance. I'm not really cleaning anymore, I'm just moving the dirt around. I decide I will go back to my boss and tell him that I'm going to need a bucket of soapy water.
I start walking back across the store floor to the front where my boss is; in the front. I don't get very far until I come across my mom who is shopping. She tells me that I really should put on some pants if I want to impress my boss, and I realize that I am wearing a shirt and briefs.

Lucidity hits me like a brick wall.
There was this weird part though where the scenario repeated itself semi lucid. I was in a library this time, and my boss was a female, but no less grumpy. I went through scrubbing the windows, but there was this extra part where I was trying to clean the brush off in a drinking fountain in the back of the library.
...
Regardless, I had a false awakening. As my eyes started to open, I could tell I was in my bedroom.
My lucidity was clear enough to remember that I had gone to sleep in my college dorm room. I did a nose pinch.
"Yeah! Just what I thought! A false awakening!"
Something felt odd about my bedroom, like everything was reflected to the opposite side.
I started to get out of bed and I took note of how dark everything was. I decided to turn on the lights. The dream glitched here and I was instantly over at the door, facing as If I were walking into my bedroom. I flicked on the light-switch and nothing happened. I flicked it up and down two times, and nothing happened.
"Wait... don't light switches not work in dreams...?"
The light flashed on blindingly bright for a fraction of a second. I heard a loud scream, then everything was black. I could feel myself falling for a few seconds.
...
I false awaken. After one false awakening, I was ready to catch the second one, especially if it was to be in the same place as the first. I was in my bedroom. It was dark. I looked at the floor to see that it had been extruded down about 20 feet and filled with water back to the level of the original floor. The weird part was, all the furniture was sitting in place on the surface of the water.
I recall the water being dark and murky, and seeing a large shark or predatory fish of some sort in the water.
I must not have been fully lucid because I felt trapped by it. Eventually a blurry-faced dream character in a tiny yellow inflatable dingy came in, rowing with a wooden paddle. When they came up to my bed, I pushed them into the water and stole their little boat.
I rowed into the guest bedroom for some odd reason and the clarity and mood of the dream picked up significantly. I thought that I was in a surreal painting or something. The water here was very shallow, six inches at the most, and clear. There were brightly colored fish in it, and the carpet flooring had been replaced with wood.
There was a waterfall flowing from a bottomless pitcher suspended in midair, down a wooden desk, then onto a wooden chair into the floor below. For some reason, there was also a coat rack with a couple of bird cages hanging from it, with brightly colored birds in them. Some of the cages were open and a couple of exotic dream-birds were circling around the room.
There were vases of flowers everywhere and lily pads in the water.
I saw a turtle in the water. The turtle had mosses and grasses growing on his shell. I asked the turtle if he would protect me from the shark that was in the other room. He then created this little explosion of bubbles and a tiny fish appeared. It was black and brown with yellow spots. He told me that the fish would protect me.

I turned back and looked around the room. My lucidity was slipping and I had to remind myself that this was just a dream. I decided to go outside. I began walking out of my house, and the water floors were fading away now.
...
I open the door and take one look. I couldn't help myself.
Holy S**t!
The dream world was so bright and realistic. I could make out every leaf on every tree, blowing in the wind. I could see a full, white moon rising in the daytime sky. The sky still had that look that it had in the first dream though, it was a darker blue than it should have been. All of the colors seemed to pop, though.
The trees in our yard were not quite right though. They seemed to be of different species. The one that is right out the front door was replaced with this one with millions of tiny bright green leaves. And where our pine tree was was a palm tree that started with a single base and split into multiple tops. Another tree was replaced with a giant red and white mushroom.
As I looked more closely at the sky, I could see a structure in it. I couldn't really describe quite what it looked like in words, but it was made up of these circular nodes. Each one had a rune symbol on it. The rune symbols were connected by large beams with small white lights along the edges. Between those larger beams were smaller intricate spiral and radial patterns, sometimes centering around the nodes. The structure arched across the whole sky.
Although I couldn't quite tell what it was, I could tell that it was solid, probably made of stone or metal, and that it was at least a few miles up. It had a sort of technological look to it, like the surface of the death star would. But also a very mystical, design. There were a couple of clouds in places obscuring parts of the structure.
I was a bit taken aback by all this scenery. I almost lost the dream.
"Keep it together (Jade)! It's just a dream... A very very good lucid dream."
Then, just when I couldn't taken any more, we got planets. Two of them. Somehow visible past the barrier. Both of them looked earth-like, with atmospheres and oceans. One was larger and looked pretty flat, mostly land. The other was much more topographically interesting with craters and oceans.
I had to contain myself a second time. I tried to think of something I could do. I then thought of the "Lucid Barrier" and thought that perhaps that huge structure in the sky is my lucid barrier. I should fly up and destroy it!
Okay, usually in very stable, vivid dreams, flying can be a bit of a hassle. I try not to think about the fact that there is a massive structure hindering my lucid dreaming ability right above me. I start running from my front porch, toward the road. I try projecting my energy out of my hands to generate lift. I can't feel any energy flowing. I look upwards, at the house across the street and try to imagine myself being pulled toward the second floor.
I jump, and notice that I don't seem to be heading back toward the ground. I feel the energy start flowing from my hands, and my little hand rockets ignite. Classic.
"Haha! Yeah!"
All of the sudden I hear a horn. I am now in the middle of the road, and only a couple of feet off the ground. A large white van careens toward me. I get struck on the left and side of the van and spun around by the impact. But it doesn't really hurt, despite the fact that I was hit at a fairly high speed. I try not to let the spin destabilize or change the dream environment.
The van fares a little worse though, it careens off the road and hits one of the neighbor's trees. The dream character; a black man with dreads gets out.
"Hey! Watch it! I... You're flying... He's flying!" The dream character yells.
Something made me realize that the huge structure in the sky was not my lucid barrier. I decide to manifest a physical representation of it and destroy it. I turned around, and in the middle of the street was my lucid barrier.
It was made out of rings of a pink polished stone, like a target, with a white four pointed star, also made out of polished stone. There was a ring of grey polished stone that connected into a pedestal and a crescent of more white polished stone along the inside of the outer ring. It was actually a beautiful sculpture and I felt a little bit bad for having to destroy it.
I started to fly at it. For some reason, my flying was a little bit awkward and I was flying feet-first. I wanted to turn myself around, until I realized this was actually perfect. I kicked into it, knocking out the white crescent and breaking the outer ring ring of grey stone. I looked back to see my work, and a little less than half of the wall was gone.
I felt my lucidity get clearer. Then I realized the reason my lucidity was so clear, and that my mind was so awake was that I was actually waking up.

Hopefully now that I started tearing down that lucid barrier my LDs will increase.
