    1. (10/14/10) - Catching Criminals...the fun way!

      by , 10-14-2010 at 03:38 PM (LiveInTheDream's DJ v2.5)
Yay! Two lucid dreams in one week thus far...looks like my VERY long dry spell might actually be ending? I hope so.

Anyway, I'm not exactly sure what I was doing when the dream began, but eventually I noticed that as I walked through the dreamworld, the faster I went, the higher I'd lift off the ground. Well, that was a dead giveaway and I instantly recognized myself to be in a dream.

First thing I did was just see how high I could go with this weird walking/levitating thing. It was very different than flying, because my forward motion was the same speed and orientation as walking...I just vertically would move up or down based on how fast I moved my feet.

And of course, in my delight over succeeding to lucid dream again, it was extremely enjoyable to go super high, let myself fall, and shout: "I'm lucid dreaming!" on my way down, just because I was doing something impossible that proved such a statement to be true. I do that a lot in my LDs

After a couple such landings, however, I found myself to have teleported to the middle of some sort of gathering. It was rather dark inside, but not so much that it was hard to see details. I found a couple familiar faces who greeted me and I would reply with something that hid the truth (i.e. that it was all just a dream) from my friends (who may or may not have really been present there).

But then I got stopped by someone different. I didn't recognize this man, but he certainly recognized me.

"Care for a drink?" He asked, handing me one of two glasses filled with glowing green liquid, which he had carried with him.

"Sure." I replied, taking the glass as if I weren't suspicious.

Of course, in reality, I was highly suspicious. This was a DC, after all...a creation of my mind. I could know him better than he knew himself. And I knew something was up with him.

At first he talked nice, telling me how impressed he had been with my work in the film and gaming industries, but eventually he got around to his real purpose for being there, and it was not just to compliment me on my achievements.

"What I have here," he said, pulling out a small stack of papers from a shoulder bag, "is some material my boys picked up from various sources."

      "Materials?" I asked. "Like what?"

"Scripts, mostly. We have the chance to produce the most popular media before the authors ever get the chance. Oh, but fame is not all that there is to it. There's always money involved, eh? Let's say...two million in earnest now for your help producing these films and games, and more by the hour you work with us. How does that sound?"

"Sounds to me like you're crazy!" I shouted.

All heads turned to look at this man and me. The attention scared him, since he was still holding the stolen scripts, so he turned and ran for the nearest exit. I ran after him, but lost track of where he was for a short while, giving him just enough of an advantage to jump in one of his gang's two cars and drive off, the other criminal car shortly behind him.

Me, I just kept running, staying close behind the two criminal cars, and slowly gaining on them. I didn't think about the speed at the time; it was as easy for me to run at 100mph as 10. Unfortunately, it was only a two-lane road (and reversed from real life), so while the criminals advanced on the left side, I had to run against oncoming traffic on the right, jumping over each car that drove towards me.

Eventually the oncoming traffic grew more heavy, and I slowly began to fall back from the criminals. That was NOT going to happen. All in one moment, I completely stopped running, stepped to the side, and grabbed hold of the next car that drove towards me. I spun around from the momentum of the car and then released it into the air. It flew right into the criminal cars and caused all three to explode. Of course the force of the explosion threw other cars into the air, even in my direction, but they bounced off of me like toys, leaving me completely unharmed.

Mission accomplished, I flew off as I had before, descended, and when I landed
      ...woke up.

If that car scene hasn't been done in a movie...it should be

    2. Night of 10/13 - Hopefully back on track :D

by , 10-14-2010 at 11:44 AM (Grischkaja's world of dreams and mysteries)
Hello I had two very long dreams where some crazy and confusing stuff happened. The surroundings were constantly changing, but I remember them in detail

      Hours of sleep: 7.5h
      Vividness: 4/5
      Recall: 3/5

      1. I'm near a lake. The sun is shining, there are a lot of people, mainly hot girls and a few who I know personally. We start some kind of weird game: everyone has to run through the water to escape some-one or something. I don't know exactly how the game went, but I had really fun (mostly because of the girls ). During the game, a group of students show up. They come from the states to study here in Luxembourg. They get also involved in the game and the game makes even more fun. I chat with some of them and I'm able to speak in an excellent English. This surprises me a bit, but I don't pay attention on it. We run now towards a group of birds. We want to attack them so we run as far as I can.
I awake and look at my clock. It's 4:15. I look away to RC on the watch.

I awake a second time. I look at the clock: it's 2:05. I plug my nose. It's reality.

I'm in my grand-ma's house. I'm sitting near the table. My father is also present. My grand-ma comes in and shows me an aquarium. There are a lot of fish in it. She tells me, that a few fish are missing. I say that I don't know where they are. She keeps on repeating her question but than goes in the kitchen. She comes back and has a few glasses. She makes cocktails and shots. I drink them but they taste like water. My father is a bit shocked that I drink that much (4shots and 2 cocktails lol). I watch out the window and see the same lake as before. This doesn't surprise me at all. I get up and go outsides.
It is dark and I keep on walking. I see some lights and I'm in front of a supermarket. I'm looking for my little brother. I enter and there are a lot of plants. It's a kind of jungle or forest. I keep on walking and I see everywhere shelves, busy people some cashiers. My brother comes towards me and we both go outsides through another door.
Outsides it's still dark but I see that there is a restaurant. It's brand-new so we decide to take a look on it.
We are now on a terrace, my whole family is there. Someone says to me that I have to help to get the dishes on the table. So I go insides and I'm now in the kitchen of my grand-ma's house I take a huge cup with strawberries with milk and go back. The terrace has gone and everything looks like the house of my grand-ma.I keep on walking but I nearly let fall the cup. I don't know how but all the milk ends up in my mouth I don't know what to do so I spit everything out in the cup (yuck!) and hope no-one sees it. I put the cup on a table. Next to table two guys are talking. They have a conversation about the noises a wooden bar makes. I find this conversation so interesting that I'm talking with them and explaining what noises such a wooden bar makes when it falls off a building (by making sounds like "klong-klong, boum krack and tong!"). They are impressed about my knowledge After some time, I leave them and I'm suddenly ousides on this terrace! There is a huge screen. I look at it.
I'm now in the movie! It's Rain Man. I'm in the casino and play blackjack lol. And I win. Raymond (Dustin Hoffman) get's angry and kicks me in the ass. WTF is my thought. Suddenly we are outsides and there is a woman, who doesn't even act in this movie. She's quite beautiful. But I'm disturbed by the fact that Dustin Hoffman has kicked me out!
I'm back at the terrace and I'm sitting next to a table. Someone next to me says, that my uncle who I've never met in real life, was here to see me. An old man comes towards me and we shake hands. He says that he's impressed that I have a good handshake and that I surely got it from my father.

I awake and it's morning. My alarm-clock is ringing.
      The End

P.S.: I don't know why all these things happened
    3. Night of 10/05 - My soulmate?

by , 10-06-2010 at 12:14 PM (Grischkaja's world of dreams and mysteries)
      Hello again.

Well, as the title says, I found in my dreams a very special person I wish meet for real. These dreams are half lucid/half non-lucid..

I'm in a building. I don't remember exactly what I was doing there, but it was something in relation to university. I meet a girl, she looks familiar. I ask her for some advice and she's very helpful. Soon a conservation is build up. While talking to her I was flirting a bit by making some funny remarks which made her laugh, speaking in avery elaborated language. AND in addition, she likes that. I feel that she's attracted by me, she often smiles and gives me very special looks (I don't know how to describe them) which were saying that she finds me nice (by the way eyes are never lying).
I also remember very well her face: normally, the faces in my dreams are blurry or not distinguishable, sometimes they aren't even there). I also know that I've already seen her somewhere, but I don't know where.
Well our conversation was very long and quite intensive. But after sometime I unfortunately had to leave But I promised her, that we will meet again.

In the meantime I had these Fragments.

Than I had a second dream: I'm in a restaurant or in a bar. In front of me sits exactly the same girl as previously. She is constantly smiling. She looked really beautiful with her brown long hair. I was really amazed by that: I've never seen so beautiful brown eyes, which were so glittering and so friendly... I realized that I love her and she's maybe interested in me. I want to tell her my feelings, but I don't know how to do it in an appropriate way. I continue my conversation, but than took one of her hands. I want to see how she reacts. She is pleased and also gives me the other hand. We both stand up and I wanted to confess my feelings. But I didn't know how... BUT this wasn't a problem, because she already knew what I'm saying to her. She says to me that she shares the same feelings. We kiss. I realize that her kiss is odd, that I'm not having some intensive feelings or so. I REALIZE THAT THIS IS A DREAM. I'm so happy that I realized it. But my feelings are to intense....

I woke up . I just was: "NOOOOOOOO!" Why do I awake in these situations??? I did a RC. I'm no longer dreaming. I thought a long time about these dreams. I tried to auto-suggest to have the same dream or a related one. I fall asleep while thinking of her.

I enter in a classroom. It's English class but I don't have any books or so. In addition I have in reality no english-courses. I looked for someone. and SHE was there, sitting alone. She was really happy to see me again. Me too. I sit down next to her. She gives me her hand to show me that she still loves me. I give her a kiss. I wanted to say something but a teacher was suddenly there. She (the teacher) was very angry about something. The class is boring so I look out the window. The window and the wall disappears and I see a beach. The sky is red. Someone, who also looked outsides started to say out loud: "O no do you see this?" everyone looks now. We see that a group of hundred whales are swimming towards the beach. Some of them already stranded. The teacher become even more angry that no-one pays attention. But nobody cares. We all go outsides to help the whales.
Outsides it is very chilly; a storm is coming up. I try too help a stranded whale: it was a miniature whale, just as big as pig or so. It starts dying in my hands. I'm really sad and run towards the water. But it's too late: it's already dead.
Suddenly something odd happens: the whale transforms in a T-Shirt and it flies away. I soon realized somehow that it was again a dream. A little girl comes towards me and says to me that I had to go back at school to write my English-essay. I ignored her and walked a bit. I didn't pay attention to my surroundings, I probably missed something. But I just wanted to meet my soul-mate again. Suddenly I'm in front of her. She's upset because of the dying whales. she knows that one of them died in my hands. She says to me that I don't have to blame my-self, that's not my fault that it died. She gives me hug, I pay attention in which way she gives me a hug (a friendly on or a loving I don't know why I pay attention on it: it's a dream and I get hugged as I wish it too. I loose lucidity. She wants to leave to go to her house on the beach. I accept.

My alarm clock wakes me up.
      And I'm still amazed

      Lucidity scale: 3/5

    4. Night of 9/30 - That's not good at all...

by , 10-01-2010 at 11:58 AM (Grischkaja's world of dreams and mysteries)
Hello :/ Yesterday, I had such an unrealistic dream, that I ask myself why I didn't see that it was an dream

Well the dream starts very logical: I'm walking through a forest. Everything is so peaceful and quite. A few birds are twittering and all this stuff.
But suddenly, out of nowhere, I have a bag with a football (soccer) a towel and stuff to take a sunbath on the beach. In one hand I have an parasol, in the other hand a surfboard. Apparently I'm going to sunbath on a beach... My parents and my brother show up, we all are going together on the beach. I'm wondering why we go through a forest, when we go to the sea? I try to remember how I got there. I'm wondering why I'm not so exhausted, when we just arrived on the beach? (for information, we go to France in our holidays and we have to drive 10 hours or so in the car). I want to develop my thoughts but something unexpected happens.
Suddenly a bird sh*ts on me! It's disgusting! But it just wasn't one bird, but ten birds were making it! I have the feeling that I'm sort of target. I try to avoid the sh*t but I fail every time! Finally I'm out of this f***ing forest. (I don't want to describe the feeling of having bird-poop running down my shoulders an my neck) In front of us is the sea, but it's so different from reality: it reminds me of the lac I used to go swimming this summer). In Addition, there were everywhere seaweed. A woman was swimming in it and it looked really disgusting. I just couldn't stop thinking of all these disgusting things and didn't realize that it's a dream.
The scenario changes. I'm wearing the same clothes as previously, the poop hasn't gone. But now I'm in a sort of garage. An old man is working on a car. It turns out that's my grand-uncle from Illinois, although he doesn't look like him. He speaks but I don't understand what he's saying. I have the feeling that I have to help to repair his car. He wants to know, what happened to me, that my t-shirt is so smelly and disgusting. I explain to him the episode with the birds. He believes me and he want to take a close look on my T-shirt. I take it off an suddenly I'm standing in a white room. It's a consultation room and a doctor is there. He says: Yes, there's no doubt it's bird-shit!
He gives me a ticket and I open the door to leave. I'm suddenly at a train station. My brother is there and he he's smoking a cigarette (by the way, he's 11). My parents show up and shout at him, because he's smoking. "It's unacceptable!" says my dad. He puts it out and they leave.
I'm alone now, I'm really nervous, look if my parents aren't there and I take a cigarette-box out of my pocket and take a cigarette. (as non-smoker) I think: " Yeah he's to little to smoke, but I'm the master of my own decision" (very ironic). I put it in my mouth but I have no lighter. I want to ask someone for a light, but there's no smoker. I suddenly realize that I've got some matches in my pocket. I take them out and it turns out that they are matches to put the BBQ on. I wonder how I have to use it. I find in my pockets some kind of chewing-gum, that burns by friction I manage to light the match, without burning my-self. But I don't manage to light it. So I put the match out and throw it on the rails and put the cigarette out of my mouth. It has transformed into a cokkie (aha sure) and I eat it.
I walk down the station and meet a friend. He takes my ticket and we arrive in a room, where a lot of seats are. It's some kind of plane, the people who are there are excited to take off. I sit down next to another friend, who gives me popcorn.

I awake HOLY CRAP! WHY didn't I realize that this was a dream? ARRRRRRRRRR

    5. Night of 9/28 - Damn it! This was pretty close!

by , 09-29-2010 at 12:16 PM (Grischkaja's world of dreams and mysteries)
Hello I had a few very vivid dreams, was really near to get lucid and I remember them surprisingly good. I now go to bed at a different time to get more sleep: I have to wake up at 5:40 am, so I went at 9:30 pm to bed to fall asleep around 10 pm. And today I don't feel so dizzy as yesterday

      1. I'm in my bedroom and I here noise downstairs. So I hurry to go downstairs to look what's going on. So I don't really pay attention how everything looks like. In one second I'm downstairs and I see that my parents bring a lot of boxes into the house. I help them a bit. By the way the boxes are heavy.
After a minute or two I'm suddenly in a different room (it looks like the attic of the old house I lived when I was a kid). My mum says to me that there is a letter for me from a publisher: it's an answer that I'm waiting for ages. So I get really excited, I already can imagine how the letter looks like. But she says to me that the letter isn't here, but in the neighbour-town She says to me that I have to hurry to get it before noon (no idea why) I open the door and suddenly I'm outsides in my home-town. I don't pay attention how I got there, because I just couldn't stop thinking of the letter!
I begin to run, for one second I asked me if I'm dreaming, look around me a bit but everything looked like normal. I wanted to look at my watch, but I'm not wearing it. "Great, I forgot it in the hurry", was my thought. So I said to me that everything was normal. Exact in the same time, I saw a friend. He was also running and he was running next to me. I didn't perform a RC, because I did it a second before
I said:"Oh hello Micheal", how are you doing?"
      - "I'm so ill!", said he and coughed really loud. "but I have to continue to jog, 'cause I have to loose weight"
      - "O really?"
      - "Yeah it's true"
Awkward silence. I feell that it is really chilly outsides and look down at my feet. I don't wear shoes, nor socks.
"WTF" was my first thought, but didn't developed my thinking into "OMG I'm dreaming!"; Instaed I said too him:
      - I guess that I too will catch cold! So you don't have to feel so lonely with your cold!
I looked down to his feet. He was bare food too
I don't see these oddities... -.- So I kept on running
Suddenly, I see that I'm really fast, I have the feeling that I even don't touch the ground while running.

      2. I'm in a bus. I don't remember the letter nor anything what happened previously... A few girls are sitting in front of me. They are talking about handbags Their conversation was like this:
      - I bought me a new hand-bag, didn't you notice it?
      - Yeah it's awesome! How much did you pay?
      - Well, last time I just spend 300 Yengins (I don't have a freaking idea what kind of money this is)...
      - But what about this time?
-... EEh it was one and a half Yengins
      - OMG, that's expensive!
      (Yes 1.5 is more than 300 )

I awake an hear an alarm clock. I'm not realizing it directly, but than I thought I was late. I looked at my alarmclock: it was 4:45 am. That's not the time I have to wake up. I do a RC (nose plug) I'm not dreaming. WTF, what's going on. I look around me: it's dark. I look again on the clock: 4:45am. The alarm went off.
It was another alarm clock of my watch, that I set up in August to wake me up to WBTB+WILD, but it never woke me up
So scribbled down some notes. I noticed that my mind was clear, but my body was really hard to move. So I tried WILD. I kept on thinking mind awake, body asleep. After a few minutes, I was in N1: i saw colours, monochromatic, I felt also the "tetris effect" (I felt the movements of a driving bus, 'cause I spent 3hours in a bus through the day), Suddenly I heared waves of bizarre sound, I've got a buzzing sensation. It wasn't really SP, because I could still move a finger or toe, without loosing the sensation. But after 5 minutes or so it simply stopped and I felt really awake. My attempt didn't worked. I did another RC, it turn out I was still awake. So I just fall to sleep normally.

      3. I'm in a car. My friend drives it. The radio was static, and didn't work. SO I pushed a few buttons to fix the problem, but it doesn't work. Suddenly I hear a loud noise and I awake.

It's my alarm clock, but now it's time to get up defenitly (after doing RC)

      The end

    6. Night of 9/20 - Fight & Destruction

by , 09-21-2010 at 09:09 AM (Grischkaja's world of dreams and mysteries)
      Hello, it's me again
Again just a few fragments, didn't sleep well tonight because I made too many thoughts

      1. I'm in a basement. There is sand everywhere and suddenly I'm attacked by a group of man. They have MG and swords. I want to search for help, I remember that in one of the many boxes which stand everywhere in the basement, there is a phone. But I open it with a grenade, there is a huge explosion which destroys all of the boxes, including the phone.
The DC's attack me with their swords, they cut my arms (but it doesn't really hurts). I grab a saw to defend myself, but it doesn't help me much.

      2. I'm alone in the same basement.... And the things which happened before, happened exactly in the same way! But this time I knew that I'm going to be attacked, so I tried to hide but it was already too late: the DC's came in ....

      3. I'm outsides in a garden. In front of me is a big house, but it's crooked! I ask a DC what happened to the house and he answered: "Don't you remember? You were in the basement before and a few guys destroyed most of the basement. That's why it's crooked."
There are also a few policeman who secure the surrounding. I'm wondering what has to be done to avoid that the house collapses. But my question is directly answered by another DC who says to me:" We gonna stabilize the house by putting thousands of tons of sand around it and than we gonna pull the house in it's normal position with a few cranes. Just Like the Ancient Egypt; isn't that amazing?"
I say to him that it would probably look creepy (imagine a house buried under a sand mountain), that it will take too long and that nobody can live in this house during the works. He explains to me that there isn't problematic at all to live in the house during the works; he experienced it personally, because a few years ago his own house had the same problem

    7. Conglomeration of Dreams

      by , 09-18-2010 at 10:11 PM
If you can be bothered reading this all the way to the bottom, I will be impressed. It does contain at least 3 dreams from one sleep in a single sitting. Continue at your own peril!

      Notes Normal Dream Lucid Dream

For the past week my recall has been terrible, with me only remembering a couple of fragments. This morning I woke up and started thinking through a dream - still half asleep. Suddenly I realised, "I should be writing this down!" So I hurriedly turned over and started writing. Part of the dream was lost, the part I was thinking about before I started to write it down.

First (?) part of dream was forgotten, but I recall entering a dark building. I was sure that I wasnt myself at this point, like I was inhabiting someone else's body. It was an orphanage, and I had the distinct feeling it was where I had grown up. Moving through the building, I found no-one about. Dumping my stuff (when did I get it?) in a room, I moved to another corridor and there was a guy who I knew in real life. Wearing nothing but a very short towel. Not being gay, this was not exactly a particularly pleasant thing for me to witness. "You must be looking for [his mother], here follow me." He led me to the reception (of sorts) and I knew that there was another part of the building behind it, that I didnt get to see. I was taken to a room, "Terga 4" (definitely saw that written down) which incidentally was the exact room I had dumped my stuff, and also grown up in (the person I was inhabiting)

      Dream Change

Cutting grass in my current High School, although it seemed slightly different. I couldnt place why exactly in this dream. In any case, I had finished cutting two portions of the grass, and was just about to start the third when I was informed it was military property, and was as such dangerous. WTF? I moved outside the school, along a path. There was a box which provided electrical current to some wires, one along the first portion of the road, two along the second. I reached the start of the second portion the first time I walked along it, being led by a friend. The second time along, I was the one who was leading, and I'm sure we were being followed by a couple of idiots. At some point along the path I touched a wire to see if it was live It was before telling the others not to touch them. For some reason we walked on the part of the road that was narrower, on the grassy bank to the right hand side. When we got to the end of this road, there was a house.

It was dark, or at least stormy, with an illuminated house opposite us, atop some cliffs. A river went by in front of us, making a bridge lower down the only viable way across. Luckily there was an elevator for us (me + several others) to go down. We had almost all managed to fit into the elevator, only two people were not in it with us. As we started to go down, the idiots who had followed us arrived. We touched the ground below, and the idiots cut the rope that would have allowed the other two to get down. Interestingly enough, I predicted this would happen.

We had to get across the river, and once again I predicted what would happen next. The bridge broke. Luckily we were carrying the wooden elevator floor with us, and this allowed us to float. Unfortunately, I somehow fell over the edge and got trapped between a submerged post and the current of the river. Next thing I knew, I was floating near the house, and I remember a distinct feeling of WTF? How the hell did I get over here? I could hear the two friends who had been stranded up on the other side of the river, but not the friends who were actually in the river.

Dream Transition, like a scene change in a movie.

I was back at the first part I wrote about, but there were two changes: I was younger, and I definitely was myself instead of inhabiting another person. Were the two above parts of the dream linked? It would appear so, because there in the distance was the house, but it was daytime. Riding a tricycle, alongside a girl. We were both of about 7 or 8 years old at this time. Of all the parts I've talked about, this is the most difficult to remember. Things were fuzzier, more indistinct. I have no idea who the girl was, and I dont get the feeling that the major part I forgot explained who she was. All I know was that we were playing, and suddenly, she wasnt there. I asked no-one in particular, possibly my brain, what had happened to her.

      She had died.

I suppose I knew already, but subconsciously. I think she died of cancer, although what variety wasnt explained. It was very sad, because it was like a childhood friend had died, and I didnt quite understand why.

      Dream Change

Sitting down in the shower room, for some reason I put my thumbs on my nostrils. Breathing in still worked. Why? Had I not covered them properly? I tried again, sticking them right in, blocking my nasal passages completely, and yet I could still breathe in and out. With a sudden realisation, I was lucid dreaming! This was only the second time I could ever remember going lucid, and the first time with a conscious reality check, (albeit one I have never used before) and this made me pretty pleased. Feeling incredibly pleased, I sat for a few moments, relishing in the feeling of awareness. I was by this time quite tired of dreaming, I doubt I could have taken much more, so it was quite a relief when I woke up.

Im completely happy with the Lucid lasting only a few moments, because it has happened only once before. My goal now is to have a longer lucid dream, where I explore being aware.
    8. Night of 9/16 9/17 - The arrogant b*tch and the seat of LOL

by , 09-17-2010 at 03:13 PM (Grischkaja's world of dreams and mysteries)
Here is my first official DJ entry! Read and enjoy

Well last night I had a very confusing dream. And, yeah, it's about an very arrogant girl and the mysterious seat of LOL (which comes only at the end of my dream). Here we go:

I'm outside in a street. Everything seems normal, as far as I remember. I'm feeling so damn lonely. I'm thinking if I ever will meet a girl who falls in love with me, to sum up, I have really depressive thoughts. I didn't know what to do, so I took a walk. Suddenly, I see a girl walking in front of me. I follow her without knowing. I'm saying to myself: " Why do I follow this girl? I'm not a stalker, just let her go!"
Suddenly, out of nowhere, a few lyrics come into my mind:
"Will you ever be next to her? The answer is: you never were, you never are and ..."
The girl stops in this moment and completes my thought by saying out loud:
"... and you never will !"
I'm confused, I don't know what to say. She wants to leave. At the same moment I see a traffic light which was very odd: red light at the top, green light in the middle and orange at the bottom. I got even more confused, but didn't realize that I was dreaming. I say to her:
"Why are you so sure that I will never get next to you?"
She starts to talk in an arrogant way:
" I'm out of your league and you're inexperienced with your 20 years"
I take a close look. She's pretty, has long brown hair and beautiful blue eyes. I say to her following words:
" Do you think that you're so better with your 18 years?"
I don't know why, but she seemed impressed by the fact that I know her exact age. She looks very upset. In response I started smiling.
I don't know exactly what happened next, but we arrived together, arm in arm at my school. She was all the way long quiet and seemed to be happy. In the entrance-hall of my school, there was some kind of party with a lot of people who talked to each-other. I stop, she goes to a woman and speaks to her. I don't hear what she's saying, but I realize that this woman is her mother. I go towards her and introduce myself. She says to me that I should consider myself lucky that she chose me, because she's quite difficult. In addition, she isn't that arrogant as she seems: it's only a façade.
Suddenly I realize that I don't know her name. I want to ask her, but she has already left. I run towards an elevator, because I have the feeling that she went upstairs.
The elevator doesn't bring me upstairs, But downstairs! I go out and I'm in an empty white room. There's another elevator. This time I take this one.
AND that's were "the seat of LOL" comes in!
This elevator lookes like a big room. There are a few guys already and next to one wall there is a row of seats. On the wall there is painted in big, black letters "LOL". I'm amazed and take a seat. Suddenly there is a little earthquake and a lot of noise for one second. I get scared and fall of my seat. Everyone looks at me. I realize that it wasn't an earthquake, but this was the elevator who started to go upstairs!
I'm telling them that I got scared by the noise. They start to laugh, I start too and think just one single thing: LOL

I awoke in the moment when I thought " LOL ". This how my dream ended.

      See you tommorow

I'm actually kind of glad I didn't go lucid last night. I probably would have done something other than go through this totally awesome dream I had. It was super vivid and realistic...I seriously felt like I was there. And honestly, I might have been just a tad bit aware that I was dreaming, due to the car thing...but I'll just tell you what happened now.

It was a pretty normal day...to begin with. I had one of my video jobs to do that day, and it required a team of people driving from place to place all day long. We had it all organized and figured out, though, so it wasn't stressful or anything; just another thing to have to do for the day.

The first three film locations were easy and went smoothly. I got all the footage I needed, and everybody did what they were supposed to and did it well. We stopped back at the hotel we were staying in for lunch and planned out the remainder of the day--still normal. But when we were about to leave again, I went to the bathroom and on my way out discovered that everyone had left without me! I gathered up all my equipment as fast as possible and tried to run after the car, but they were already way too far off to hear me call, and it was impossible to run while carrying all that stuff.

Fortunately, a friend was driving by just then and he stopped to ask if I needed a ride. I got in his car (which was unnaturally small, and which I observed without gaining full lucidity, if any) and he took me where I needed to go. However, once at this final location, things would go anything but as planned...

I caught up with my team by nightfall. They were gathered in a dark alley, all of them evidently very scared.

"What the heck was that!?" I shouted. "Why did you guys just leave me back there with all the..."

      "SHHH!!!" They all replied desperately.

Then I saw what their problem was. A few feet away from me, out of the pitch blackness, a light turned on, and I heard the familiar sound of a Geth. Within moments, a million other similar lights turned on all around us, the same sound of communication echoed through the walls, and we knew we'd be dead in a few moments if we didn't get the heck out of there.

"Hey! In here!" I heard one of my team members shout.

We all turned around to see him at an elevator on the outside of one of the buildings. We got in as fast as was possible and rode it to the top floor, hoping to escape. But on our way up, we heard the chilling roar of a zombie, and soon witnessed several jumping down onto the glass roof of the elevator. Fortunately they were not too bright, and when they collided with it, they simply were thrown off from impact...but there were more where they came from.

We got to the roof and instantly looked for a door to get us inside and away from harm. We found one, but halfway there, I stopped everyone.

"No." I said. "We have to finish this!"

I clamped together the tripod legs on the camera I was carrying and tightened the camera itself so that it wouldn't budge from its position. It was a metal camera, and I figured it would make a great club.

      "We can take them."

My friends got the point and hurriedly threw together some makeshift weapons. Then we waited. Before long, zombies and Geth and headcrabs and other such creatures began climbing up the side of the building and trying to attack us. With a loud war cry, I swung the camera and tripod through the air, doing a spin move, and landed the camera right on the head of a zombie. It was thrown back over the side of the building and burst into pieces when it hit the ground (it was probably an 80-story fall).

It was a huge battle. We had to stop each and every creature from climbing onto the roof, or if they made it all the way up, we had to knock them off the edge immediately. My group and I were doing well, but it was only a few of us against millions of them. Even with my camera-club (which was by far the best weapon we had) and crazy attack moves we were slowly being pushed back.

I hurled my whole body against an oncoming zombie and threw him over the edge. The effort made me stumble and land on my knees right on the edge of the building just as another zombie was reaching up to pull himself to the top. I remember his face...skin totally white and rotted from death. His hands and arms had no skin left, just a bloody mess of muscles and bones. As I sat and watched this monster approach me, I thought for sure he would grab me and throw me over the edge before I would have a chance to do anything about it. And then...

The Indiana Jones theme began to play as the man himself burst out of the door behind us and start pulling off awesome moves with his whip and gun. Shortly after that, Lara Croft, Luke Skywalker, and Jake Sully (in his Avatar) showed up, too! We had a chance now, and with my renewed hope, I grabbed the face of the zombie with my bare left hand, ignoring how disgusting it was, and then bashed it in with the butt of my tripod. The creature screamed and then fell, defeated.

After that, the fight was an easy victory. The last thing I remember is peering over the edge and looking at all the bodies in piles below...

and then I woke up. But here's a funny little sidenote: all the moves I did in the dream with the tripod I can now do IRL! Hmm...

All anyone knew for sure was that one moment my friend was alive and well and the next he was laying in a pool of blood, several knife wounds all over his body.

No one ever saw the killer. He didn't even leave fingerprints behind, so there was no good way to track him down, either. This, of course, made the last person to see my friend the primary suspect: Zachary Quinto. He was literally dragged to the scene of the crime and the police attempted to identify any sort of evidence with him.

They discovered the cuts on my friend's body matched the width and length of a knife owned by Mr. Quinto, but when they produced said knife, Zach didn't seem to recognize it. He didn't appear to be bluffing, either; he was genuinely shocked that a long, brown knife had been discovered on the floor of his home, caked in blood.

Quinto was promptly arrested, and I was asked to leave while further investigation was carried out. I was by no means satisfied, though. The next day I paid a visit to the police office to inquire about their discoveries. They told me that evidence against Quinto was insufficient and they would be letting him go later on that day, and also that the knife they found belonged to a mysterious killer known only by the alias "Knife-baby". The killer's targets seemed random; just whoever was in the wrong place at the wrong time.

And this time, chance had it so that the Knife-baby killer's choice was personal.

I set out on a quest to find out just who this murderer was and bring them down myself, or otherwise set them up for arrest. It didn't take long before I met up with Quinto, who was planning to do the same thing in order to clear his own name.

We went all over the globe together, following the tiniest and most confusing trails of clues, hoping that sooner or later we'd find our guy. Sadly, the biggest help we got was the frequent news reports of the Knife-baby killer's latest victims. After enough people had been killed, we were able to line up their locations on a map like a 'connect the dots' picture and plot a line to predict where the killer would be next. The location? A research building in the Amazon jungle.

Quinto and I approached the building from a ways off, not wanting to alert anyone of our presence by the sound of a vehicle. After hacking through security at the back door, we began to make our way through the hallway, keeping our eyes peeled in all possible directions.

Suddenly, all went black. I heard a noise like a muffled explosion followed by the feedback of a thousand echoes. It hurt my ears, so I put my hands over them while crying out in pain...and as I fell to my knees, the light came back on, and I was on my knees before the dead body of a scientist who worked in the facility. Blood was everywhere, and knife wounds were clearly visible in the corpse's back. It was then that I noticed my hands were wet, so I pulled them down, away from my ears, and was horrified to see that my own hands were also caked with blood, and I held a long, brown knife in my right hand.

Quinto was unharmed, but backed up against the wall, and breathing hard. He was clearly freaked out by the whole thing. When he got his breath back, he stared at the body, and at me.

"You...you...you're the Knife-baby killer!" He said angrily, charging at me and pinning me up against the wall.

"What? Think about what you're saying! Why would I have killed my own friend, framed you, and then come all this way with you just so I could turn around and show you that I was the one all along? Do you really think I'm that stupid?" I replied.

Quinto let go and backed off, huffing with frustration that we'd missed the killer again.

"So how does this work?" He asked. "Does the killer ever actually kill anyone? Or does he just use us as proxies?"

"Wait a minute, so you're saying you did kill my friend?"

"You know that's not true! I saw what you just saw! Blackness, then that noise, then a dead body sitting at my feet, and a long brown knife and blood in my hands. But I got rid of the knife; I got rid of the knife!! The killer obviously wanted me to be framed...that's why he put the knife back in my house! And now he wants you as well. Maybe that's how he handles people who have leads on his location. Puts them in prison by false accusation."

"Then let's follow him, before he gets away!"

We turned back to the door we'd come in, and found it still wide open. There was a moment of self-hatred, thinking we'd just created the killer's escape route. That was the final straw. We charged outside just in time to see a black figure running into another building a short ways away.

      "There he is!" Quinto pointed.

The chase was on! We smashed through the door to the building and kept running, absolutely determined not to let this guy get away. We were gaining on the figure, who was still black as a shadow even up close, and then we followed him around a corner...only to hear a scream and see the Knife-baby killer throwing himself over us, knocking us both to the ground.

When I got up, I was no longer in the building, Quinto was no longer there, and the Knife-baby killer was completely out of my memory. The dream continued on as a rather typical false-awakening.

But today is a day off of work, so it was a day on for lucid dreaming!

And guess what? This time, it was another WILD.

I first woke up and I was on the floor. RC'd to be awake. Not sure how I got to be on the floor, but WILDing was on my mind, so I didn't stop to think about it. See, I had this little memory from a past dream. Someone had just told me "just relax and let your mind drift" for explaining how to WILD. So that's what I did. I didn't move somewhere else first, I just lay down where I was and stopped consciously forming thought processes.

Within moments, I saw light flashes, then images. Memories. Flashing by like lightning. Then there was this huge tingling sensation that overtook me. It was so powerful it almost hurt! And then...sounds, tons of different sounds all mixing together. Voices, mostly. I felt myself being pulled out of my body and into my dream body. Unintentionally, I rolled out of my physical self into my dream self. My eyes were still shut, though. But since I knew I was in a dream, I tried to open my dream eyes.

Instead, I opened my real eyes. I tried to just let my mind drift and relax and re-enter the dream, but nothing happened. So I stood up, shook my head a bit to wake me up enough to get fully out of the dream state, and then went back down to the floor and tried to force my mind into a dream, all within a few second. It worked. Lights, memory flashes, voices, and then the sensation of a second body all came back. My vision came to me, but I was still in my room, laying on the floor. This time I stood up in the second body, and I could see my real body laying on the floor.

It was a remarkable feeling, that transition from body to body. The dream body felt colder, yet not in an unpleasant way. Certainly not like the cold of a dead body. On the contrary, it was a vibrant chill that felt far more alive than what I feel during waking life. And since there's no dust or dirt whatsoever in dreams, the dream body felt clean in a way that's impossible to achieve IRL.

But anyway, there I was, in the dream. I was still in my room, looking down at the body I'd just left, and so I did an RC, and I could breath through my pinched nose easily. I trusted the RC to be true, but I couldn't believe how real everything around me was. It made me think about my last really good WILD, and once again I appreciated just how much more realistic WILDs are than other lucid dreams. There was simply nothing around me save reality checks that didn't feel and look 100% real. I walked down the hallway to look out the window. For some reason, walking in the dream body was a little awkward at first, but I got it figured out pretty quick. And when I looked out the window, I saw tons of snow, further confirming it to be a dream, although it was nonetheless real-looking. I tried teleporting short distances across the rooom then for the sake of practice, but strangely, I couldn't.

Of course, I didn't want to spend the whole dream in my house, so I went to the bathroom and flipped the light switch. Nothing happened.

"Oh, come on, I don't have this problem." I said to myself. "That's what other lucid dreamers complain about, but I've never had trouble with a light switch before."

I flipped the switch again. Still, nothing happened.

"Look, I know what this place should look like with light on, now just TURN ON!"

I flipped the switch one more time, and the lights came on...even though the switch was in the 'off' position.

      "Well, that works."

Then I went inside and shut the door. There were people around the house that had tried to talk to me already, and I wanted them to leave me alone. You never know how DC's are going to react to teleporting somewhere, which is what I had in mind.

Except, now that I thought about it...there was something I had meant to do in my lucid dream, someplace I had meant to be, and I knew it, but I couldn't remember where!

When I gave up trying to remember the place, I decided to just go wherever I could go. It didn't matter to me where, since I couldn't remember any of my goals anyway. For the sake of doing things differently, I stepped into the shower and stood right on the drain. Then I imagined myself being sucked down in, and within moments, that's precisely what happened! My body swirled around, getting smaller by the second, then rushed down into the pipe like water.

I slid through pipes for quite some time, but when I finally came out, I was full size already, and so was everything around me. I had fallen from the ceiling into some sort of industrial looking store...kind of like Home Depot or Lowes. Only the stuff they had here was for anything but home improvement. In front of me was a huge display of video games, and there were better things than that around me. Guns, lightsabers, tanks, jeeps with mounted guns, etc.

Speaking of which, right at that moment someone came flying over a display in one such jeep and started trying to shoot me. I could have just stood there and been fine considering the bullets weren't real and I knew it, but my reaction was to teleport to the nearest cover, which I was able to do without trouble this time. Once the gun had stopped firing, I ran out and jumped onto the vehicle before the guy in it could drive away, also accidentally teleporting us both to some lush planet with a cool, color-filled sky and bright light on the ground even though there was no sun. I tried to reach the driver and take him out, but he whipped around a corner so fast that I lost my grip and flew over the side of a cliff as we were driving past it.

Of course I teleported myself again before I hit the ground, and wasn't surprised to have come back to the store. Only this time there was a girl there; one I know IRL. She had a camera, and held it out to me.

"Could you take a picture for me?" She asked.

I nodded and took the camera.

But then I also realized an interesting opportunity. If it is possible to bring things back from dreams into real life, what better thing to do it with than a picture? So I willed the camera to come back with me when I woke up, then snapped the picture.

Yet another intriguing thing happened, then. When I looked at the picture on the camera screen, I realized I had seen the picture before IRL. It was true to the dream, in that she really had posed exactly as the picture showed (while still remaining in life-like motion, I should add...she didn't freeze up like the picture or something), but it was also true to real life, in that even the background matched up with the real picture.

"Either I just time traveled and took this picture and I bring it back with me, or this is one impressively strong memory." I said to myself.

      Obviously, I assume the latter.

Unfortunately, the dream began to fade at this point, and since I was holding the camera, my hands were too occupied to be rubbed together in time, and I didn't have time to spin or do anything else to save the dream.

It was like the dream body was somehow on a tether that my real body was pulling on, drawing them back together.
I saw blurs, heard wooshing noises, and the feeling of my real body began to take over the vibrant chill of the dream one.

I woke up, and was now in bed. RC'd to be awake. How I got back in bed while WILDing I don't know. And no, neither the camera nor the picture came back with me.

But at least it was a highly lucid dream with a plot that wasn't too shabby. Could have been much better, though. Gotta work on remembering those dream goals!

It woke me up two times in the night, but only on the first time did I get anything good out of it. My memory served me well enough; I noticed as soon as I woke up, but didn't rush to a billion thoughts that would wake me up. I simply rolled over, got into a comfortable position, and then went completely still. It wasn't long before I saw HI and felt SP...and yet, I must have lost consciousness at some point, because the next thing I remember is everything being totally black and me being totally unaware of my body. I don't recall ever seeing flashing lights or feeling the ground shake, which happen every time I WILD, or even just get close to succeeding at one.

But at least I regained consciousness at this point, body asleep, mind awake, and in a dreamless state. So I decided to try and make one of my own.

"A character is appearing in front of me."

Sure enough, a moment later, I saw a DC turn her head out of the darkness (yes, it was a girl). Suddenly I felt as if I were sinking, drawing closer to her. The girl's eyes shot open and stared at me as if from afar. I continued to sink inward, and as I did so, more than the girl's head faded into view.

She reached her hand out to me, almost robotically, as the sinking began to slow down. I felt as if I would lose the dream; like I was momentarily to rocket back upward and wake up. But I reached out and managed to just barely grab hold of her hand, and she pulled, breaking the opposing force suspending me in the air and causing me to freefall down into the dream.

After falling what felt like ten or fifteen feet, I collided with something, and instantly the dream was in full view. I had hit a bed, and now I bounced off and landed on the floor. The girl had been on the other side of the bed than the one that I fell on, and the impact had effectively knocked her out as well.

She was startled, like she hadn't seen me before. Maybe she thought what had just happened was a dream for her or something.

"Who...who are you?" She asked, holding up a blanket to cover herself.

"I'm..." I paused to quickly think up a title that wouldn't give everything away to her as a dream. I didn't know her well enough yet to know if she'd respond well to that or not.

      "...a friend."

Her entire countenance changed immediately, then. I wish now that I had just told her the truth, though, because as soon as I ignored my connection to real life, I lost it completely.

"Oh! And you haven't even been given a place to sleep!"

"That won't be necessary. I'm...really not tired, to be honest."

"Well you must at least need something to eat or drink! Come, this way!"

The girl then hurried down the hallway, pulling the blanket around herself as she went. Not knowing what else to do, I followed. Her house was very futuristic; technology not (yet) existent was everywhere. Eventually we made it to a small kitchen with a round table to one side.

"Please, sit." She said, handing me a glass of something to drink.

It suddenly struck me how sweet this girl was...no doubt about it, I was falling in love.

"So," the girl began. "Would you mind telling me a bit about yourself?"

"Sure, but...I still don't even know your name." (funny that I would say this, since she still didn't know my name)

"Oh! I'm so sorry. My name is Avina."

After that I told her about my past, which was now a bunch of false memories telling me I had been a soldier in the Alliance Military that was sent to guard the city and I had fallen through Avina's roof by mistake.

"I feel so terrible!" Avina exclaimed when I had finished my story.

      "What? Why?"

"I've kept you up this whole time! Didn't even give you the option of waiting until morning!"

"It...kind of is morning, Avina." I replied after seeing a nearby clock read 3:00am

"Right. There's another bed in my room; you may use that if you want to. Feel free to wake me up if you need anything else!"

And next thing I know, I'm in a bed beneath a large window in Avina's room, and I can't fall asleep or take my eyes off of her. Eventually I couldn't resist any longer. Slowly, quietly, I walked over to her bed and just watched her sleep a moment.

Before I knew it, my hand had found its way down, and I was stroking her hair, caressing the side of her face, and then leaning down for a kiss. Of course that woke Avina right up, but she didn't fight or anything. Rather she reached her arms around me and stood up. We continued kissing for quite a while, but then Avina leaned back and said:

      "I will be yours. Always."

After that things kind of blur together. My duties with the Alliance Military frequently pulled us apart, but we always made every effort to be together. Travel distance or cost didn't matter.

One point that stands out in my mind is when a huge crowd was before the Citadel Council discussing Alliance plans for the future. As it is typically with politics, everything was going down the tubes as far as I was concerned. What needed to be done seemed so simple to me, and yet everyone was bickering over complex things and not getting anything accomplished.

As I sat there, listening to all this, I noticed Avina come in the side door and take a seat next to me. She could see the frustration on my face.

"You should speak. Many people here respect you." She whispered.

"But that doesn't mean anyone will stand with me! What I say is useless without backup."

"I'll stand with you." Avina said.

That was all I needed. I stood up, interrupting an official far more important than I, and stated my opinion on the matter. The council, as expected, told me I was out of my mind and to sit back down. I continued, however, and asked for anyone who agreed with my plan to stand with me. At first, no one did. But then Avina stood, which soon encouraged another to stand, and another, and another, until the intimidation of the council was broken and the entire room of men and women was standing in my favor, opposed to the council. They had no choice but to accept my plan for the Alliance Military, then.

Gets blurry again...next thing I remember, Avina and I were arriving at her house after being married. It was late, but there was no chance we could sleep.

"Tell me this isn't a dream!" Avina said. "I cannot believe all this...it is just too wonderful!"

      "This isn't a dream!" I said. "It's just us--forever!"

Then we lay down in the same bed this time and...well, you can probably figure out what.

We didn't get a wink of sleep that night, but neither of us cared. I don't think we ever even let go of each other before dawn.

Well...make of that what you will. It was an incredible experience for me, anyway. Doubt anyone else will really appreciate it the same way.

In my notes I have written that the dream was like a mixture of Mass Effect and Monsters Inc., but I have absolutely no idea what that is supposed to mean. Don't remember Monsters Inc. being involved at all...but here's what I do remember.

(for those of you unfamiliar with Mass Effect, I've linked to key game elements so you can get an idea of what was going on in the context of the game)

Everyone was on the Presidium level of the Citadel from Mass Effect. The place was still a huge mess from Sovereign and Saren's attack, and I was on a team of people cleaning up a part of the financial district.

The dream was incredibly clear; like the detail of a lucid dream without the lucidity. I put on fingerless leather gloves to get to work, and the little bumps on the leather looked and felt as they would in real life. As I worked to pick things up and clean debris away, I felt muscular exertion, as if I really was doing hard work.

Even though there was a ton of work to be done, it really wasn't that bad to have to do it. Everyone was just happy for the Geth War to be drawn to somewhat of an end and for the Reaper to have been destroyed. Plus, I was doing all the work with friends (some from real life, others aliens from the game, namely a Salarian and an Asari) which kept our spirits up, since we could talk and make jokes the whole time.

But the entire day was not to go so well. After finishing up our assigned area on the financial district, we were sent down into the Wards...to help fix up Chora's Den.

There was a group of shady characters on the other side of the place, supposedly also cleaning things up. But they were arguing the whole time, apparently on a racial basis. There were a few humans and one Krogan, and I suppose having the majority made them feel confident enough to oppose the alien. But it was still foolish, as eventually they angered the Krogan enough to make him fire a weapon at them, and (big surprise) they had the weapons to fight back.

Misfires proceeded to take out my team, although we attempted to hide. They hit everyone aside from me and one other person. But the Salarian and Asari were completely riddled with holes. Angered, I pulled out a pistol and promptly took down the one surviving human from the other side of the room. Blood was everywhere; my friend had to run off to avoid throwing up on the spot.

Then something strange happened. A bunch of mice ran out from the debris and began to climb into the bullet holes on the dead Asari. Somehow they reanimated her and she stood up, now bent on my destruction.

The dream then went into third person and followed me as if the whole thing were just a video game. I tried to run away from the Asari, but it seemed everywhere I went I would reach a dead end and get caught, which would cause the dream to 'load the autosave' from when the Asari was transformed. I'd watch the mice all over again and then try to run away, but get stuck in a dead end. This went on for five or six more tries before I finally found a passage that had been partially blocked by debris, preventing me from seeing it in the past. I managed to take that passage without getting slowed down to the point of being caught by the Asari, and this time got far enough away for her to lose my trail.

Then I hid and waited for her to come my way. When she did, I pulled out my pistol again and shot her in the head. She completely exploded, sending mice flying everywhere before they scattered and ran.

I woke up shortly after that.

Dream 1: I was on a huge ship; it looked like one of those cruise ships, but I am honestly not sure of this ones purpose.

"We have the worlds smartest AI aboard," said an official as he checked me in to my room. "It ten years ahead of its time; we honestly don't plan on using our pilot, even if storms come up. This machine knows how to handle it all."

"It's incredible how far artificial intelligence has come." I commented as I set down my bags and began unloading them into drawers.

"Plus," the official added with a tap to a badge on his coat, "all authorities around here have on of these. They each perform simple AI functions. All together they control every part of the machine, but to make sure no one has that kind of power, the controls were split up into badges like this one."

"It's that powerful a computer, is it?"

The official nodded. "Well," he said, "enjoy your stay."

I nodded to him and he left, closing the door behind him.

I continued getting everything unpacked and then just rested on one of the bunks in the little room. A couple hours later, the boat rocked a little and the sun shone through the window just right to cause something on the floor to sparkle. I got up to see what it was, and discovered that the official's AI controller badge had fallen off as he left. Of course my first reaction was to pick it up and return it to him, but unfortunately, as I began to do so, I bumped a little green button on the side. The badge began beeping furiously, and I could hear a bigger alarm going off outside. Although no camera or microphone was visible on the badge, I knew it was recording me somehow, so I leaned far off to the side and remained silent until the alarm stopped.

"Ok, now I really need to get this back to the guy that checked me in and clear this mess up."

So I got up, opened the door, and saw another official running down the hallway.

      "Excuse me, sir!"

"You!" He shouted. "What are you doing with that badge?"

"I found it on the floor in my room; I'm sorry about all the alarms, I bumped a button when picking it up so I could return it to the official that checked me in."

He smirked. "That's what they all say! You're coming with me."

I got a solid punch to the chin and everything went black.

Next thing I know, a bag is being pulled off my head, my hands are chained behind my back, and all I'm wearing is a pair of torn up brown shorts. There were 30 or so others around me in the same situation.

"Who are these people?" I asked, figuring it would end up answering all my questions at once.

"These are the people who stood behind your claim that the badge you found was left by a mistake of the official." The burly man holding my chains answered. "Your numbers are too strong; therefore, to prevent a mutiny, the captain has ordered that you all be put to death by bomb."

That last bit sure got my attention. Looking around, I saw that everyone was being led behind a barrel and chained to it, all in rows. Not all the people being chained were very old; some looked to be only 11 or 12. Anyone who had stood up on my part was being brought there.

"Sit here." The burly man said, pushing me down behind a barrel in the back corner of the square formed by all the rows of explosives and people.

He then pulled my hands around front and tied their chains around the barrel so that I could not possibly get away or survive the explosion. Everyone was ready now; it was only a matter of time before all of us faced our doom. Hearing the others cry was the worst part, though. Being helpless to save myself was one thing, but being helpless to save those who so faithfully stood behind me was far worse.

A lady official dressed all in white went through the rows checking the chains. At first the surrounding officials closely examined her work, but once they were certain she was doing it right, they focused on readying the blasting detonator. The lady went by each person in front of me, row by row...and after what seemed like forever, was at the person to my right, and then, at me, the last person on the last row. I closed my eyes and prepared to feel the chains stiffen a bit more...but instead, I felt them loosen. My eyes snapped open, and I beheld the lady pulling on the chains around my wrists and freeing me.

"Ready!" She called. Then she turned to me and whispered: "The smoke will cloud your exit; I'll be waiting straight back to your left. As soon as you start seeing smoke, run! You'll have only a few seconds. I can't guarantee you'll live. This is all I can do. I'm sorry."

I was shocked, but I paid attention. She ran off as fast as she could, and I waited with my hands in the chains as if I were still trapped, so no one would re-chain me before the explosion was started. A few seconds later, I could hear the detonator lever being pressed, and smoke instantly shot up in my face. I fled, then, as fast as my legs would carry me, in the direction I had been told.

The sound of the wailing, suffering people behind me was almost too much, but somehow I went on, and then...

      BOOOM!

The explosion knocked me to the ground, but I made it out before the flames could reach me. The flames were so realistic; limbs and heads flew out towards the sea accompanied by the final screams of those unfortunate enough to be on the back row, which exploded the latest. It was a horrible sight to see.

Before I had time to mourn, however, the lady official pulled me up and led me to her room.

"I'm...terribly sorry." She said. "This should never have happened."

A few moments of silence passed.

"I...I would have stood behind you as well, but when I saw what direction things were heading, I decided it was best I keep my silence and help you this way."

"No, no, don't be sorry for not standing behind me! I couldn't bear another soul suffering the fate of those poor people."

      Another few moments of silence.

"Well...I expect you're not up for formalities right now," the lady said, "but just so you know, my name is Meg. I have clothes for you in the bathroom. You can take a shower and then rest until I come back. No one will disturb you here, so get all the sleep you can. We have much work to do."

She left me then, and went about her shipboard duties for the rest of the day. I took a shower and got into the clothes Meg had left for me, and then tried to relax. Of course, even though I was physically and emotionally worn out, I couldn't. Looking around the room, I found a small bookshelf and a handful of books on it. Reading one of those for a few minutes helped a good bit, and soon I fell asleep.

Waking up was a much weirder experience, though. I was suddenly in my room from real life, and really thought I had woken up from a dream. There was a noise outside the door, but it didn't bother me. "It's locked; no one can come in." I thought. But then I heard the noise again, and this time it sounded like the door opened. So I sat up in bed with a start to find the door opened just a crack, but the doorknob was indeed set to the locked position. No one was there. "I must not have closed it all the way last night." Excuses, excuses.

I lay back in bed, but only moments later heard a much louder noise and this time actually saw someone walking in. He was dressed all in black, had his head completely wrapped up in a black scarf. He also had a knife. I remained completely still and silent so he would mistake me to be asleep. Then, as soon as he got close enough, I let my fist rip through the air and land right on his nose. It stunned him enough for me to literally jump out of bed and land a kick to his stomach, which was also enough to knock the knife from his hand and send it flying into the wall.

The man fled then, and the dream seemed to wash away like rain and return me to the ship I was on previously. Meg walked inside and looked scared.

"What happened?" She asked. "I saw an executioner outside! Has he found you?"

"Has he?" I repeated, pulling the knife from the wall. "This was his weapon!"

"Then they know." Meg's face seemed to darken. "They know you're alive. That just makes our time that much shorter."

      "I'm ready."

That entire day was spent sneaking all around the ship, avoiding detection, and visiting the rooms of people who Meg said also supported me, but in secret. Of course they too were furious about the death of those who had supported me up front, and now were ready to assist even at risk of their own lives.

So we set out, and one by one, were able to pick-pocket the badges from the officials (with the help of Meg and her legally obtained badge). Of course by the end of the day they knew something was up with all their badges missing, but we had been so careful that no one stood out as a suspect, and there were only rumors that I was still alive; no solid proof (apparently the executioner was not hired by the officials and did not care to alert them of my presence).

Finally, at sunset, we had every badge, and thus complete control of the most advanced AI in the world. Every member of our secret group was in hiding outside the captain's cabin, and just as he walked outside, we jumped out with a loud war cry. I made sure to stand above the crowd, triumphantly holding the badges above my head so that the officers would know they had been defeated.

Fear was in every one of their eyes as we used the AI to gather them together in the center of the ship. I left Meg in control of the AI for a moment so I could personally speak to the officers one last time. It was nice seeing them afraid of my authority for a change.

"Based on what you did to my friends you should have the same done to you." I said. "But that would make me no better than any of you. Does everyone here know how to swim?"

No one answered; they knew that I knew it was a requirement for an officer to be able to swim.

I moved a safe distance away and then nodded to Meg. With the press of a button, the AI flipped up the floor that the officers were on, flinging them into the air and out over the water. I'm pretty sure there was land nearby somewhere.

That night everyone threw a party. There were cool lights and tiki lamps and great music and all that. I was going to ask Meg to dance (), but my alarm started going off and woke me up before I could.

Oh well. It may not have been lucid, but it was still a decent dream.
