    1. Rude Awakening

      by , 06-24-2010 at 09:53 PM (Hazel's Boiler Room)
      1- Bite of an Orc
My parents have gone undergound, to the orcs' lair. I am waiting outside. At the sounds of a battle, I suddenly become lucid and run through the forest towards my house. "I don't want to fight orcs again," I mutter to myself. ((Um... I've never fought orcs before. Ever.)) "Besides... isn't there something I have to do?"

By the time I make it to my house, I am no longer lucid. My parents come a bit later. They tell me that they won, but that the orcs bit them and now they're infected. I see that they now have green and red orc skin. "Don't worry," I say, "You'll only be HALF orc. I got bit by one a while ago, and I'm still half werewolf."

      2- Tattoo
I get a really ornate tattoo all over my face. The next morning, I cannot figure out what possessed me to do something so stupid. Everyone's going to think I've gone off the deep end... I look in the mirror and am delighted to find that it is just a temporary tattoo.

    2. A Three Lucid Morning

      by , 06-22-2010 at 03:40 PM (Hazel's Boiler Room)
Woah, I'm glad I decided to go back to sleep.

1- Puppy with a Thousand Names
I just bought a cute little dachshund puppy, but I can't come up with a name. Everytime I think of one I like, I forget it and come up with something else. To start with I'm calling her Doris, then Matilda, then Samantha...

I teach her how to play fetch.... She's just so cuuute!

2- Battle of Fire and Water
I am surrounded by evil monks. My master is wounded; this battle is in my hands. But how can ONE win against THOUSANDS? I am barely able to keep them at bay with my fire magic, and my mana is running low. I quickly drink a potion which restores my power. But what good will it do? How can I defeat them? "Get them away from the floodgates," my master instructs. After a few failed attempts, I do as he says. Water rushes out of the gates and they all drown.

      3- Playing with Time Warps

I am with the Doctor; he is a bit impatient with my cousin, so he decides to screw with her head a bit. He creates a time warp, and she walks up to him just as he is talking to a past version of her. She freaks out and runs away. Our laughter is interrupted by the sound of marching. A whole legion of warriors is coming out of Wal-Mart!

"You of all people should know the dangers of playing with time warps!" I accuse as the army advances on us. "Look what you've done!"

The general wants us both dead. Before he gives the order to attack, he randomly stabs an arrow into the head of a dwarf standing beside him. Okay, what was the point of that?

The battle commences. I have a sword, and am actually doing a really good job of killing the soldiers. This is fun! The army is actually a mixture of humans and enslaved dwarves... I end up killing the arrow-dwarf's brother, and he wants revenge. (How is he still alive with that arrow sticking out of his head?) I knock him underneath a car. Now he can't sit up without the arrow hitting the bottom of the vehicle. Looks like a very painful way to be stuck...

The scene changes; now I'm working for the General. I get an email about something detrimental to the General's plans. I can't let him see this... This could be the key to getting rid of him once and for all.

      4- Expectations (DEILD)
Darkness. I'm not in SP anymore, I guess I woke up. But I RC anyway and become lucid. Yay! Only now, I can't open my eyes. Hmm... I take my sleep mask off, which has transferred over into the dream, but my eyes still won't open. I use my fingers and try to PRY them open... still no success. Oh well, I'll be able to see through them in a minute. I wander around the house blindly until I can see. I feel sort of confused though... For some reason I think I'm invisible.

I go in my brother's room, where Steven and Matt are listening to the radio. I want to mess with them, so I throw something off the dresser at them. Apparently I'm not invisible, after all.

My attention turns to the radio. Everything it is saying makes perfect sense. The commercials and the songs are all in real life clarity. Do they have this playing IRL? If not, my subconscious is awesome!

I go outside. It's really dark, but I ignore this. I'm already having problems with staying in the dream, I need to stabilize this before I worry about the lights. (Or lack thereof.)

I'm thinking about Leroy all of a sudden, and a man suddenly appears in front of me. Thinking it's my dream guide, I abruptly lose all my self-control and leap at him, giving him a big hug. I see a bit too late that I'm wrong, that this is just a random DC,
      and I wake up.

((Oops. I'm glad that wasn't Leroy, after all, since I had to go and act like that. Again.))

      5- A WILD within a DEILD
I DEILD back into the dream. Yet again, I'm having the same problem with my eyes. I briefly consider ripping my eyelids off, but decide I don't really want to find out what that would feel like.

I walk out of my room, into the hallway. I still can't see, but I am able to tell where I am just as easily. This dream is still really unstable... Maybe if I WILD within the dream, into a different dream, it will fix things? Worth a shot, anyway.

I lay down right there on the floor, close my eyes (they were open, despite my blindness) and enter SP. There is a vague sensation of rolling around, and then...

      6- Exploration
...I am fully lucid in a new dream. Better yet, I can SEE again!

Now I suddenly feel as if I need to prove myself for some reason. Maybe I'll go fight that werewolf... I head off toward it's lair. It's still pretty dark out, and there are random people along the road. Once I reach M's house I run into two mean looking dogs. I think they may have been in the pack that tried to kill me in another dream... "Hey, little doggies!" I say fondly, using passive control to make them like me. I pet them. "Wanna come help me kill a big bad werewolf?" Apparently not, they run off. I turn and fly toward the south. I'm near where I'm supposed to be; the warehouse where the werewolf lives is somewhere back here.

Now, however, I'm distracted by the mountains beyond that. I had read something that The Cusp posted about dream mapping, about how there are certain borders on the edges of your dreamworld and that it's impossible to get past them. Well, I'll just have to see about that for myself. After a lot of flying and climbing, I make it over the mountains... only to find more mountains in the distance. Gah... I'm not going that far.

Below me, there is a city. Since I'm here, I might as well check it out. I jump down, right in the middle of the road. Cars are coming at me from all directions, but I am unconcerned. It's fun leaping over them. A little tiny car drives by... I wonder what kind of person would drive something that small? I catch up with it and sit on top, riding through the city.

I reach the lower district and get off. I am surprised by the variety of people, and how real they all look. Everything is so detailed; how could my mind possibly come up with all these different people?
The dream fades, and I wake up.

I am sent on a quest to collect these special eggs from a laberynth. The maze is huge; there are several cities within it. The whole point is to eventually find a one-of-a-kind egg called the Embryo. ((Shugo Chara reference.)) Helping me on the quest is a biped werewolf who does not seem to have a human form.

As we are collecting the eggs, we realize that they each have a fortune inside of them. These are more important than the eggs themselves, so we just crack the eggs and take the fortunes along with us. One of them says that I will eventually lead the Vampires to victory against the Werewolves. Enraged, my werewolf friend begins to attack me, but I manage to explain that I would never do something like that, because I hate the Vampires as much as he does. I figure that the fortune must be referring to something a bit more cryptic, because I would never betray the 'wolves. He calms down and we continue on our way.

After a while, we pass by some werewolf slayers, and I hide my friend from them and force him to stay in the woods so he will not get killed. I go back and collect some more of the fortunes, and read one that says the werewolf will save me from danger on the road. As I am heading back to find him, I am assaulted by two passersby. At first I think the werewolf will rescue me, but then I become lucid and decide I'd rather take matters into my own hands. I fight with them for a while, and although no damage is dealt I manage to chase them off.

I then lose lucidity and begin to howl. The werewolf howls back and I manage to find him somewhere within the forest. We eventually come upon an old abandoned church and hide out there for a while to read the fortunes we have collected.

      1- Let Your Light Shine
I am standing on the side of the highway talking to my parents during a storm, when I notice a gargantuan black tornado on the horizon, growing closer with each heartbeat. My parents continue to talk as I try to get their attention. Finally my dad cuts himself off and says, "What is that noise? It sounds like a freight train!"

"Hm," I say, pondering sarcastically, "Maybe it's that GIANT TORNADO HEADED RIGHT TOWARDS US!!!" It is now only about half a mile away, and growing closer still. I am about to run when I do a nose-pinch RC just for the heck of it, not really thinking that it's a dream. But I can breathe... What the heck? I do it several more times and conclude
I'm dreaming. I take flight, but my parents warn me against it and I instantly see why. The wind from the tornado throws me around, making a controlled flight impossible. I make it back to the ground and decide to walk until the storm ends.

As I am headed down the road, it gets darker. Whenever a car goes by I can see because of its headlights, but then it gets dark again. Finally I think, "I really need some light or I'm going to lose lucidity." I instantly hve a brilliant idea. I hold out one finger and say, "Lumos," (which is the light spell from Harry Potter) and a bright blue light appears on my fingertip. I laugh in triumph. "Well, that's convienient!"

I continue down the road, using my finger to light the way. Eventually my vision gets weird and the dream fades.

2- Humans, the Energy Source of the Future
I have just come home from somewhere important, and I go off into the woods behind my house. Suddenly I feel a vile prescence and a dementor appears. ((I've been reading too much Harry Potter lately. I want to read the whole series before I see the rest of the movies.)) I instantly hold out my hand and shout, "Expecto Patronum!" It works, but just barely. I only seem to stun the dementor enough to be able to run away.

I go back to my house and my mom tells me to drive to the store to get something. This makes me nervous, because I am a horrible driver, but I comply and go to the car. Somehow, the gas and the brakes are in the margin between the drivers seat and the passenger's seat, so I have to twist my leg at an odd angle to reach them. I make it to the store and back without much of a problem, but I did have several close calls. Especially due to the fact that something evis is after me.

When I get back, I learn that the dementors have eaten the souls of my parents, leaving them as lifeless shells. I am trapped in my room with a dementor, a half-crazed werewolf, and someone who is actually somewhat sane (compared to the others, at least). I am armed with a pencil which I use as a makeshift wand. Whenever the dementor comes near me, I use the Expecto Patronum spell to keep it away. I use this on the werewolf as well, though it is not nearly as effective.

The lady is getting angry that I am puttin up such a resistance. She slowly and maliciously pulls out a sharp knife, coming towards me. I rack my brain for a good spell, then shout out, "Expelliarmus!" The knife goes flying out of her hand across the room. She angrily comes at me again, now with the intent of strangling me. I say the first thing that comes to my mind. "Riddikulus!"

She stops and gives me a sarcastic smile. "What good will that do? Laugh me to death?" I am then taken to a large machine, where they show me what is going on. Apparently, the human souls and all their experiences/memories are inserted into the machine, which will run the world for the alien robots which have apparently invaded. The memories, etc. are divided up into different parts of the machine. For instance, memories of driving a car would be used to transport the aliens from place to place.

They take me back to my house and continue to try to take my soul, but I put up a good fight. They never manage to get my soul, but I never manage to escape, either.

    5. The dream of me as a werewolf

      by , 07-20-2007 at 07:15 PM (Folqueraine's Oniric List)

      20.07.2007
      (Non-lucid)

      NON-DREAM DREAM LUCID

A man and me (unconscious of being me) leave a pub at night. There is a fight with a werewolf, as there is a full moon, and the authorities come and arrest him.
I tell the man (that I haven't known for a very long time) that I am a werewolf too. He asks why I haven't changed into a werewolf, and I explain that there must be some trigger: anger, fear, an emotional of physical shock... He takes me in his car and suggests taking me away from the authorities (which are seen as somewhat threatening).
I fall asleep, and I have a vision of him waking me up by tapping my arm, and that it will trigger my lycanthropy.
    6. "Werewolf by Afternoon"

      by , 10-30-1987 at 04:30 PM
Morning of October 30, 1987. Friday.

My dream’s title is based on having been a fan of Marvel’s “Werewolf by Night” comic book (the original series).

I have had similar dreams as this where I am able to focus on my hands and grow claws and feel very vivid sensations of their emergence from my fingers, even though this dream is not fully lucid, as I know things are “different” yet I do not fully associate the state with being in a dream (but I do recognize its unrealistic nature). My dream colored my mood in a very lighthearted and positive way. I believe my name as a werewolf is “Sawtooth”. My becoming a werewolf is fully determined by my own cheerful desire to and not a result of the full moon’s influence. I am also aware of wolf canines growing but this is not uncomfortable, though I do clearly feel changes and pressure in that area (through semi-lucid threads of intent at one point).

The ending of my dream provides a strong state of happiness and an augmented sense of freedom, primarily freedom from the negative aspects of human society. I have become half-wolf, half-man, but I am still running upright like a human, to the southwest. It is about ten o'clock in the morning. Not that far away, to the south, my target is a very dense (fictional) forest, the trees seemingly only a few feet apart at least on the perimeter. It would otherwise be located about two blocks south of my older sister Marilyn’s house. I am blissful about living in the deep dark forest. Even though it is late morning prior to twelve, with no full moon anywhere - and in fact the sun is shining, I hear the howls of fellow werewolves from within the woods, and although there seems like twenty or so, I never see another werewolf in my dream. I still feel a strange seemingly serious kinship, even though the overall dream at this point is quite silly. There is a very cheerful, positive feeling, although I feel as if I will somehow completely “lose” myself upon entering the forest (not in a negative sense; more like being a playful child again, free as I was in the woods of Chipmunk Coulee before I went to public school), which is to be my home from then on. However, I awake before reaching the edge of the forest, the edge being east and west and almost perfectly straight across. Upon waking, in addition to general freedom, I realize that another aspect that was in the back of my dream self’s mind, is freedom from the expectations of others.

The main influence here was “I Was a Middle Aged Werewolf” (even though I was young at the time of this dream), a “Highway to Heaven” episode, where the angel played by Michael Landon (who was born on Halloween in 1936) was also in “I Was a Teenage Werewolf” from 1957.

    7. Haunted House (childhood dream with precognitive elements)

      by , 07-26-1978 at 01:05 PM
Night of July 25, 1968 to Morning of July 26, 1968.

Important: The above date reference has been validated to be the first, most vivid, and longest version of this recurring childhood dream theme (as well as of the most precognitive layers).

My dream starts out with a precognitive scene, with Linda, a girl I knew from school, feeding “our chickens” in the backyard at Cubitis (this was when we still had a rabbit farm - and a worm farm - and my father had not even begun to think about raising chickens yet). The look is quite the same as it would be, with high, wobbly fences and several different enclosures, as well as the eventually partly dismantled rabbit shed being a part of it all. In fact, a little later on, he had made a concrete rabbit for an entrance ornament, in which, later, it also looked like a chick lying on its back (as if hatching from an egg), the rabbit’s ears transforming into the chicken’s beak in the visual “translation”. The girl is still outside when the moon is out, although the chickens are far less active. It then seems like I am looking at the images in a sort of farming magazine or real estate catalog (I did a little “photo projection” in real life at the time, so the change is not that unusual to me).

Eventually, I cross the highway (at night) and there is a “haunted house” where the house of Karen and Kenny S should be, and no other houses around it. I think it is two floors, or maybe three. (Karen’s was only a small one-storey house and very similar to mine.)

When I walk in, I notice a dark blue cartoon-like spider named “Hairy”/“Harry”, about half as high as I am. It has mischievous animated human eyes, but is more like just an oval with the eyes and lines for the mouth and coming out of the “body” for the legs. I think this is connected with a cartoon version of “The Addams Family”, as I eventually see a few other characters, which are not really frightening in any way.

A little later, there is a visually “perfect” scene (as if exactly replayed) from “Tickle Me”, an Elvis Presley movie that eventually features a haunted house with a “hidden treasure”. The scene seems to somehow relate to the hand in the box (Addams Family) to the hand coming out of the tiny door above the fireplace and punching people as in “Tickle Me” (with a brief impression of seeing myself in the scene). The imagery is exact and very vibrant. There is also the scene with the “ghost grandmother” in the rocking chair which somehow seems to be occurring in my father’s larger walk-in/sliding doors closet, yet I am still in the “haunted house”.

Later on is an additional part that was also precisely precognitive. I open a small window in a door and see a werewolf moving towards me a certain way, and there is some sort of funny game-like idea (similar to older “Captain Kangaroo” show openings that I had never seen before at that time) of shutting the window (in the door) with the door open - or leaving the window open, but with the door closed and so on, but the werewolf (starting out like a shadowy figure) - a sort of gray color and looking sort of “stiff” like a toy or model with hands raised that are not moving much, and a slight swaying side to side as he walks. At the same time, I understand that he is my brother-in-law, Verdell. Later on, for some reason, when he (my brother-in-law, Verdell) was visiting in real life (he only came down to Florida with my sister every two years or so for a few days), he bought a werewolf (wolf man) model with no explanation, even surprising my sister (there were various monster models in the store). The original model was grayish; the image (above) is of a painted figure but is from the same kit. In my dream, Verdell had looked just like the model, no shirt, pants held up with a belt, and no shoes. There was even a rat running around his foot.

Later on, after a few other misadventures, I find myself in a locker room (precognitive to one I spent time in later on in life; I had not at that point known what the one at the new middle school - featured in my dream - looked like - everything was correctly oriented). In fact, I was wondering how I got in such a place, inside of a seeming residential home. I later notice a very strange-looking cat (like the one from Disney’s “Cinderella”, whose name is “Lucifer”) sitting on a dark purplish-indigo velvet pillow with golden tassels - on top of what seems to be the hallway water fountain. However, it changes into (or is chased off by) a more normal-looking cat. It is then female and jumps up and “kisses” me (exactly like the opening credits for “Bewitched”, and with fluttering stars, real sparkles, and such - years later, I found my wife had a cat named Sparky when I first met her) and turns into Brenda (the girl who often seemed to represent my unknown future wife).

There is quite a bit more that I did not record fully when younger. During this particular time period, I wrote all my dreams out - often with pictures - on color notebook paper (not allowed for usage in school later on), mostly lighter hues of pink, purplish, greenish, yellowish, and bluish. I guess it was a pain for teachers to have to try to read pencil print on color paper (especially darker such as purple), hard enough to read on white paper.
