1. Cave to the beginning of time

by , 10-22-2010 at 07:58 PM
Last night (October 21st) I woke up at around 6am from a dream about a cave that led down to the beginning of time. It was a wide spiral staircase of light stone, with candlesticks evenly spaced along the walls. The staircase had been started at the beginning of time, and it led to the beginning of time. No one could travel all the way down, or even close to all the way, because one would be crushed by the weight of time and memory. I was minding a little boy, and I took him down a few spirals for something to do. He wanted to go all the way down but I told him we couldn't. We looked down the space in the middle, and couldn't see an end.
It turned out that the dream was a memory (within the dream) and it was many years later and we were looking back on that experience. The little boy had grown up to become an old grouchy successful businessman.

I turn into a shadow.

I silently move across the yard to the farmhouse.

I slip into the kitchen. There is a man sloppily eating bacon and eggs, yelling at his wife that she cooked the eggs wrong. She apologizes.

He gets angrier, and throws the food at her. She turns to him, humiliated. He laughs at her. She cries.

He yells at her to quit crying. He stands up.

I stand up from the floor, a standing shadow. I stand between him and his wife. I growl at him. They are both terrified. He falls backward into the chair. I morph into a 2D shadow snake, and wrap around him. The edge of my body slices into his skin. I become a fully fleshed cobra, then step out of my cobra body, now a shadow again, but there is now a giant 20 foot cobra snaking over the man. The cobra's head stops in front of the man's face, and stares at into his eyes. The man wets his pants.

The wife giggles a little bit.

I walk to the basement door, and open it. The smell of rotten flesh fills my nostrils. I run down the stairs. There is a little girl tied to a chair, holding a teddy bear, petrified with fear, staring at the body of a dead mouse which has begun to decay.

I untie her. She is unafraid of me. I pick her up.

"Daddy put me down here with the dead mouse!" she says, and starts crying. The wife is standing at the top of the stairs, crying.

"He said he would kill her if I didn't let him tie her up. He said he was going to teach her a lesson, because she wouldn't pick up the dead mouse to get rid of it."

I take the girl and the lady to a big Buick. We get in, and I drive them to a motel. I give them 10,000 dollars, and drive away. I tell the little girl that she can always call me, if she just says "Nomad" into her teddy bear.

***

I go back to the farmhouse, and speak to the farmer.

Listen, Judge, the police are going to be here in two minutes. After they found out what you did, no one is going to have mercy on you. You are going to be Big Mac's bitch. Everyone is going to want to cut you. Even your own mother.

Now, because I am merciful, you have a choice. I hand him a detonator, and walk away.

He presses the button while I am still in the house. Nothing happens. I laugh.

He presses it again. His shoes catch on fire, then his pants. He presses it again. Nothing.

KILL ME YOU ASSHOLE! he screams at me.

My cobra constricts him slowly.

The police show up, as I walk away and open up a rip portal.

BOOM!

Back on the Moon.

don Juan applauds, then vanishes from site.

3. The Unnamed Mystery Manor, Round 4

by , 10-22-2010 at 06:52 PM
One of my favorites, a recurring scene that I've been through 4 times now, I believe: I find myself in this immense mansion. Things change quickly inside -- When I walk into a different room and look behind me, the room I just left is often completely different, or gone, and upon looking forward again, the room I just entered could be different too. Rooms are rarely functional -- almost zero bedrooms, kitchens, etc. They are, for the most part, divided into safe rooms and danger rooms. In the safe rooms, I might find something useful, like a friend, an artifact, or a weapon. In the danger rooms, I find danger... duh. Often there are others in the house, and they too behave like dreamers - they can shape themselves and their environment, to a degree.
I'm never sure what my objective in the manor is, but I do know that leaving is not only very difficult, it feels very wrong to attempt to do so. I'm intrigued, because usually my dreams never stay in one area, perspective, or theme.
This time I found an elegant black knife that felt delightful to wield (I'm used to objects, especially weapons, being uncomfortable, slow, weak, and heavy).
I came into a small library with no books on the shelves. There I saw two strangers fight. One was very green (literally), and the other seemed to hate me. I think the green one was defeated, but I did not stay long.
I received a gift of a powerful machine gun, but it was impossible for me to aim it straight and I quickly ran out of bullets.
The dark rooms manifested mostly as half-plant zombie things.
I remember finding a letter, but I cannot remember what it said. A shame...
I ended up in a great hall with a dear friend of mine, and we fought with some vile old man who was in control of the plants.
The whole ordeal tends to be very video-game-like. I guess that's just how my imagination works after 15 years of RPGs. I wish I could recall more of what goes on, or become lucid, in this dream more than most any other. Lots of action, but I feel like there's something of value to learn in there, too...
4. The Fifth Dimension

by , 10-22-2010 at 06:45 PM (The Nomad Chronicles)
The Templars are trying to find the location of Castle Anthrax. I laugh at them from my fortress.

I morph into a Castle on Mars.

They come to attack me. I open 3000 eyes.

They panic. I suck them into 3000 portals.

HAHAHAHA. idiots.

One of them grabs a piece of my dream body and slices it off, taking it to another dimension with him.

I insert my sentience into it, and turn into a virus and infect him. He gets sick and falls asleep in the dream, then wakes up in waking life. I return back.

I am in the middle of an immense battle on Mars.

There are armies flying through space from the Moon and Urth to aid us against the Templars of Urth.

Time freezes. I hear Morpheus and Chronos discussing something, but I can't understand, being frozen in time.

don Juan appears and says I am perceiving the fifth dimension, being outside of time, as if time is a blanket which I can walk upon.

He grabs my hand, and i feel like a 2D person becoming 3D.

Now perceive time as two physical dimensions. There is linear time, and perpendicular time. This is because parallel universes sit on top of each other, and interact with each other in that way.

Now, look at this battle. Now see the gods looking down out of time.

Ah, so are they one of us? Is he one of us? Are they all one of us? What is the nature of existence? Why are you here? Why am I here?

"Why are the gods asking those questions?"

Gods always ask those questions. That's not important. Now look.

don Juan steps on to the time blanket, and walks around on it. He makes himself 2D, and falls back into the blanket. I copy him. We are in the same battle with the same people, but the place is different, and so is the armor. What the hell.
This is actually a physical plane, but you don't perceive that. You can believe that you can become corporeal in a dream. But the funny thing is, in those dreams, you are not dreaming, you are physically in that other plane of that universe. Think about you waking life right now.

What's that? Oh, Wakeworld.

Doesn't it seem like a dream. Write in your Wakeworld journal.

I pull out a spiral notebook.

ENTRY 10-10-10
I have come to the conclusion that all is real, and all is dream. Some to do with the mind.... AHA... So today was very dream. Much music making magic and such, visual magic, fire breathing, licking the flames off the stars, the dogstar doubling delight in the moonlight...
don Juan keeps bothering me, but I ignore him, because I just don't want to believe what he says right now. I feel my subconscious mind is not ready for it. And by that I mean my Wakeworld mind. How silly he is. Going through his dream life on autopilot.

I try so hard to become lucid in Wakeworld, it's almost impossible, because it has to do with altering perception, not Reality Checks. Reality. Everything is real. I don't know if anyone is every going to read this, but if you are, I probably love you a lot.

peace in tha Middle East
N8

So, now you see how the physical plane, when thought about from a dream feels like a dream. But, now we are here, physically. You have more than one physical body. Here, eat this apple.

I eat a sour green granny smith apple. It's the one I recently smoked out of. It has a worm in the holes which I eat.

The worm asks me from my stomach why I did that. I say I was curious.

I vomit the worm out with black vomit.

The worm becomes my symbiote, and absorbs the vomit.

I am supposed to go on you, not in you.

don Juan grins at me.

There is a child being held captive in the basement of that house. Go rescue her. And remember, here you are a god.

I look around. Everything is so vivid. I am in a wheat field near the edge of a forest. I see a lone farmhouse.

5. Jojo on the Moon

by , 10-22-2010 at 06:21 PM (The Nomad Chronicles)
I pick Jojo up in a taxi. She tells me she wants to go to the Moon.

Of course we are going to the Moon.

I turn around. I have a monstrous demon cat face.

OMIGOD. Nate?

HAHAHA!

The taxi turns into a spaceship, and we blast off to the Moon.

We land on the Moon. There is a party going on in the Biodome. We step out into the Biodome.

Jojo runs around touching all the plants, smelling the flowers, and petting the animals.

OMIGOD!

Are we really on the Moon, Nate?

yes!

HAHA.

I introduce her to Raven, MoSh, Tigress, Silverwolf, and Pablo. She bows to each of them, except Pablo, because he's a fox. She sits down and pets him, then he transforms into a man. OMIGOD!

I give her a tour of BanyanLand, and introduce her to DJ Sabertooth.

Raven and I ring the bell for Dream School.

A bunch of students appear in the class. Jojo is wearing a giant red witch hat which is crowding the room. Sorry! she says, embarrassed.

Raven and I make the room bigger.

Mosh flies out of the chalkboard in his Naga form, and gives a lecture on the nature of dreams. The students are terrified. He shoots astral tentacles from his third eye, and touches theirs.

NON-DREAM DREAM LUCID

Good morning. Had a very long dream period last night. Just a few hours after I went to sleep I woke up with three dreams in my head.

04.00: Naked
I'm with Monica outside of my appartment. We're in a park or something and the building we live in is alot bigger than it is in real life. We're both naked and are wearing towels or some kind of sheets. We've already been outside once. We walk back inside and wait for the elevator. A family walks in through the door and stand next to us. "I wonder how this is gonna turn out in the elevator" I muse and see it has almost arrived.

The elevator door opens and a fat lady with her two kids is in there. "We're doing laundry" she tells us and opens a hatch in the floor, leading to another elevator. Her two kids starts pulling on a rope and the other elevator moves. My mom shows up and starts talking to the lady. I leave them and end up in my appartment, where I meet my dad. He tells me a story. "At work, our boss wrote: "Start working" on the ground with spraypaint. And Johan retaliated by painting their wall. Then they started arguing like never before"

04.00: Resident evil fragment
I'm watching a Resident Evil movie. A zombie slowly walks up to a guy pointing a gun at it, and suddenly reach for his neck with a hiss. He doesn't shoot it for some reason and gets bitten by three of them. Another smaller guy enters the room, smashes a bottle on the counter and cut the heads off of all three in a second.

04.00: Dogs
I walk up to a house and I spot my mom's dog Igor on a benchl. I scratch him for some time and he's really happy to see me. There are other dogs there who wants to be petted, a large dobermann licks my hand and wants me to scratch him. I see alot of kittens all around me and my mom tells me she has decided to take care of them. One of them takes a shit on the grass.

Amount of sleep: 8 hours

Food before bed: 2 x Omega-3 pills,

That's it!

Keep on dreaming, HARE BRA!

8. Night of 10/21 - Fragmentary fragments

by , 10-22-2010 at 03:49 PM (Grischkaja's world of dreams and mysteries)
Hello. Nothing interseting just fragments, unfortunately

Hours of sleep: 6.2 h
Vividness: 2/5
Recall:1/5

1. It's night and I'm on a bus station. I want to go home. A bus comes and I jump in. Suddenly I remember that I first drove with my car to this station. I wonder how i can get back in my car. The buses doesn't stop and keeps on driving.
2. I'm in a pub and there are a few weird guys. They speak with an terrible American accent. They sit on the same table as I. A waiter comes and ask what we wanted to drink. I didn't want something to drink. But the waiter said:
- Ok you ordered Guinnes for everyone.
He left. One of the weird guys smokes a cigarette. He says that he has to leave, but he wanted that I take his cigarette. And I have to make sure that it doesn't go out.

9. Two firsts, and two very brief moments of lucidity

by , 10-22-2010 at 03:32 PM (The Lab Notebook)
Awake, Non-lucid, Lucid, [Commentary made while awake]

[I don't remember much about my first dream, except that I went,] “Hey, isn't that Ken Watanabe?” I realize that I'm waking up from a dream and attempt, for the very first time, to DEILD. It doesn't work, probably because I have no idea what I'm doing. I wake up and take some notes, as usual, and then go back to sleep.

[Warning: Disturbing imagery ahead!]

False awakening in my current real room. [I completely fail to catch it.] My parents' alarm clock radio is playing music really loudly.

I go down a big slide made of foam padding with canvas on the outside of it. It takes me down to a beach, but this beach seems to be the bank of a river rather than the shore of an ocean. When I get to the bottom, the end of the slide goes on for a little way so that riders can come to a complete stop. When I do come to a stop at the end, the end of the slide partially deflates under my weight, and I discover that there's a cute little kitten lying on the end of it. It has some of its fur and even a lot of its skin missing, so it's mostly gray bone plates. It curls up into a ball and gets the most awful look on its face. The lady who is there watching it says that he's freezing. I decide to give the kitten my beach towel to keep him warm, as well as my fried chicken. There are lots of other people around us on the beach. I'm a little afraid of them, because I know I'm in the middle of a very large city.

I realize this is a dream just as it's ending. I woke up and was very surprised to discover that I'd actually fallen asleep while lying on my side, something I've never done before (okay, I probably have, but it was when I was too young to remember it).
10. Galantamine + Choline

by , 10-22-2010 at 03:23 PM
Hi dodobird,

this supplemented approach is indeed reliable. A friendly guy named Thomas Yuschak investigates supplements for lucid dreaming since a long time and made great progress. I don't know if you have your ideas from his page, but in case you do, you should tell the people.

You can access his research here: http://www.advancedld.com/LDS_profiles.html

or buy his book, where he describes in detail, how everyone can achieve LDs with supplements.

Please don't take this as offence.

Greetings,

Third WILD attempt with Galantamine + choline: Success.
Dose: Galantamine 4mg, choline 500mg.
Time: 4.5 hours after going to sleep I woke up, stayed up from about 15 minutes, and went back to bed.
Report: I was doing the WILD very badly: I couldn't relax, couldn't concentrate, I kept thinking about things in life that bother me, and I moved from time to time. All the things that suppose to ruin a WILD attempt.
Even so, after about 30-40 minutes, I felt like I was being swept away, and boom, I was in a lucid dream. The dream was long, stable, clear, and very simple. I was in a large building with people. There wasn't any story, and there wasn't any depth, anything strange about the surrounding or anything very interesting. Like my previous attempt, the dream was a lot less interesting than all my non-lucids, and all my DILD's.
But I made the dream interesting myself by doing lots of stuff: jumping from hight windows, sex ( twice ), trying to meditate, trying to read, and something else that I'm too embarressed to say.
Side Effects: This time I felt no side effects at all when I got up in the morning. This could be because of 2 things:
1. I woke late ( because I didn't have work today ), so I slept through most of the side effects that may have been there.
2. Right After I woke from the dream, I took Peracetam. This is another thing I got from Yuschak's book: Peracetam as a way to counter the effect of Galantamine.
The difference in side effects from my previous attempt was huge.

Conclusion: From these attempts I believe that these supplements are very effective. It's not just that I succeeded in the WILD, and had long, stable dreams, but I also I take into account the fact that I'm a novice in WILD, and that in these particular cases I was doing the WILD attempt very awkwardly. But this are just 2 successful attempts, and I'm still not sure.

I will repeat the exact same experiment a few times longer, once or twice a week, and I will report in this thread.

Yes, dodobird,

from my experience these supplements are really _the_ best WILD supplement I know.

I made a series of experiments with Galantamine and Choline myself over the past few weeks. What can I tell you?

I made 10 attempts on 10 nights. Got lucid on every one of them.
40 % those were WILDs, the rest DILDs.

WILDing into a lucid dream is incredibly easy for me with these supplements.
I usually sleep less than 5 hours, take the supplements and make a WBTB for an hour. Then I stay in bed on my back for 15 minutes to get calm. After that I roll on my right side and in most cases only wait for the effects to start. Normally I will not have to wait very long.

I got motivated by reading Thomas Yuschak's book. Side effects are only very limited, even with 8 mg Galantamine. But I have to stress that I only make a new try after at least 2 nights off.

13. A Few Lucid Things

by , 10-22-2010 at 03:14 PM
Ok so I don't remember a lot, but I do remember some small details. I actually preformed telekinesis for the first time in one of my dreams. I saw a box, put my hand out, and it came to my hand. Another part was really cool. I looked at the bus driver, and in my head I thought "get on the bus" and he said it! The last part is weird. There was a guy, which I think is from Fairy Odd Parents (I forgot his name) that had a grey elevator. He went in, and I went in. There were people that looked like they were from that 9/11 attack. Man that dream was odd, I wish I remembered more....

14. Galantamine + Choline

by , 10-22-2010 at 03:14 PM
I tried it last night as a WILD aid with success.
I'm a newbie and I had just 2 WILDs before, and this WILD was much more full fledged, and I didn't lose my awareness for a second.
(This is my second time of trying Galantamine + Choline. The first time was about a month ago and I failed and fell asleep, and I slept quite badly too)

I took 4mg Galantamine and 500mg Choline Bitartrate about 4:30 hours after going to sleep. I then attempted to do WILD.
I tried to do relaxation meditation, to stop the "voice in the head", the annoying thinking that distructs you. I was quite unsuccessful, so I gave up on relaxation after about 20 minutes and leaned on the side, and waited for HI.
After about 20 minutes I heard the most horrible screeching sound as if the very fabric of reality is being torn apart, and after I endured that I entered the dream.
The dream was very vivid, very clear and organized. Every once in a while I felt like I was waking up, and I didn't move so I can re-enter the dream, and I succeeded in re-entering the dream about 4 times. I don't know if it was false or real awakenings.
All together the dream ( or chained dreams ) were rather long, about an hour. I was very satisfied with the dream, but for my taste this dream was too normal and neat, I prefer more bizarre dreams. In this dream I was walking around in a city. I could think very clearly, and I remembered that I wanted just to look around and observe the dream-scape. I remembered someone ( I think billybob ) suggesting to focus on textures in order to make the dream more vivid and detailed, and I looked closely at the texture on my hand, the walls etc.

Side effects:
1) After waking for good from the dream, (which I decided to do because I had enough ), I was very awake, and couldn't go back to sleep ( and didn't want to go to sleep )
But that was fine because I lay there reviewing the dream for a while.
2) In the morning I fealt very slight 'heart-burn', and some hunger, which is unusual for me to feel in morning.
3) During the day ( now ) I feel more alert than usual, my sight is slightly different: kinda sprarkly and a little less focused, as if it was over-focused to a degree that you see a little less clearly. The same goes for my thoughts, they are a little too quick, in a way which makes the flow of thinking a little less continuous. It's literary feels as if each neuron in my brain is shooting too fast, and so the next neuron can't catch up fast enough to enable normal, relaxed thoughts. But these effects are quite subtle, and not a major problem.

If I will feel any other side effects during the day I will update.

I will now let the Galantamine clear out of my body, and may try again in about week, and report again.

15. I become Super Sonic

by , 10-22-2010 at 03:03 PM
Ok so I'm in an odd room. There's a liquid sitting on a counter. Shadow puts some in his mouth, and spits it out, and goes Super Shadow. I figured that you have to do that to go super. I was just me. I took some of that stuff, and I said CHAOS CONTROL! I was fast for a few seconds, then I went Super Sonic. I was going slow and I said "I don't know why but I'm going slow" And my voice sounded like Sonic's voice. Then I went super fast. I didn't fly like Super Sonic for some reason. Still, it is awesome to turn into Super Sonic.
