Another Marvel-themed dream! It must be because I watched
X-Men: First Class yesterday at midnight.
It was daytime, but the sky about to get darker as the evening rolled in. I was outside a Shoppers Drug Mart building, which was located in the middle of a larger parking lot. This building was probably half the size of a normal Shoppers, and it was located on top of a sidewalk-like rise off the ground, just like real life. The parking lot itself wasn't too populated by cars; there were maybe ten or fifteen scattered around (but neatly parked).
I walked towards the Shoppers and noticed that there was a large lineup of people; they were double-filing, the line going right along the side of the building towards not the front entrance, but the back. I went around the building and saw that there was one door, a basic back-entrance door, which was a white pane with... glass?
Here, I remember seeing a man with black hair and wearing a True North jacket. He turned around and told me to "get lost". This didn't suit well with me, but I ignored it and walked away. I knew what I was looking for wouldn't be there - I was looking for a large structure similar to a water tower. It has a long, cylindrical base, the inside containing a winding, metal staircase with railings, and about ten feet in diameter. At the top was a golf-ball like sphere, almost like that familiar structure at Disney's Epcot, although the bevels aren't as deep, and the sphere itself not as big; half the size would be a good estimate.
I had been there before, but I forgot where the structure was located. In the dome at the top was supposed to be Cerebro, a device that could amplify telepathic brainwaves (as in the X-Men movies). I was looking for Cerebro because I had "good reason to believe" that there was a S.H.I.E.L.D base stationed underneath it. For some reason, I already knew that it was a larger, circular room with a diameter of about fifteen feet across, lots of glowing computer screens adorning one side of it, and a round, doughnut-hole-style table encompassing the whole of it. There would be chairs on the outside of this table, and lots of government papers on it.
I continued to walk; sometime during this, the dream jumped ahead. I was now in a museum-like setting. It was a relatively wide, and winding hallway. There were scenery exhibits along one of the walls, divided from the public section of the hallway by the average museum bars (or whatever you choose to call them). These bars were black and looked normal. There were quite a few people at the exhibit, which was relatively well-lit but darker than a museum should have been. There were a few spots of brighter light hitting the exhibitions here and there, but I never looked up so I don't know what the source of them was. As for the exhibitions themselves, I only remember one - there was a lot of fine gravel and pale sand, and some huge spider plants, probably three or four feet tall, on top of this material. There were some big, fairly flat grey rocks right up against the wall. A large, white but somewhat translucent dragon was sprawled along this gravel and sand; its long, oriental-style body crossed where the public would walk and ended up on another, similar exhibit on the other side of the hallway. The upper body, neck, and head curled around into a spiral. The color of the dragon was pretty much white, with a slight bit of yellow, and slightly (but not by much) transparent.
I walked towards the head of the dragon, but didn't actually go over/under the black bar and onto the exhibit; I stayed in the public section of the hallway. I decided that I wanted to exit and "try to find Cerebro again" (I'm unsure as to whether I thought that or muttered it out loud), so I started to look for signs that showed the way out. On the wall, I saw a black rectangular piece of plastic, probably only about 15x9 inches big, with a thin yellow arrow on it. The head of the arrow took up most of the space, while the line was only a mere two or three inches long. I walked in the direction of the arrow, back where I had been walking from, and then saw another one - it was facing the opposite direction. I looked behind me and got really confused.
