    1. The Centrifuge and the Poker Game

      by , 04-10-2017 at 10:10 AM
Night of April 10, 2017. Monday.

I am someone else and connected to the sales or delivery of a centrifuge. Knowing its overall appearance, it is not that hard to associate it with a poker chip carousel. There is ambiguity over time, in fact, upon deciding what it really is or what is really going on. The first scene is of men in white lab coats using the centrifuge. Still, cowboys from another time gather, apparently in a tavern. For a moment, a cowboy seems to be wearing a lab coat over his trail-worn clothes.

It is a questionable situation. There are about five cowboys sitting at a round wooden table playing poker in an old west environment - yet these same men are also somehow simultaneously standing outside in the street, but it can not be discerned if they are planning mischief (either inside or outside) or simply involved in social events with other residents. Only mild anticipation ensues. It seems to be morning. Birds are singing outside beyond the batwing doors.

    2. Wal-Mart Rpg

by , 04-12-2014 at 07:20 AM (Inside the Mind of Mattlantis)

Sadly, most details from this dream I had Wednesday morning are gone, but it gets worse as the week progresses. I vaguely remember seeing some cowboys in a Wal-Mart that looked more like a glorified gas station, and there was something about two teams, one of which I was on, who were competing. We had some kind of rpg setup and leveling system, and apparently one of the ways we could gain experience was by destroying things in the Wal-Mart. I remember wandering the aisles with some kind of lightsaber and breaking a few things, turning to fight the people on the other team periodically.

    3. [Gun-style Execution (Still No Food)]

by , 09-23-2012 at 12:47 AM (Searching For The Center of Everything)
      [Tuesday, September 18th, 2012] [Morning]
<dream recall starts here, despite the dreams before it>
I'm in an open magical world mixed in with elements of reality. I start my journey traveling along a straight desert mountain path with Me, Alex, and Nathan. There's a wild west theme to all of this. We arrive at a old stone ruin marketplace... the smell of food brings us to one seller's counter with 4 cowboys behind it. That's to the left of this path I'm on, and on the right is a walled off area for people to sit down and eat... there's an arch to get through to the inside. I think I have 5 dollars in my pocket and I look at all the menu's. The food costs about $1-1.50 each item and the drinks also $1... I should have enough for all three of us to eat and share a drink. As I'm staring at the menus still, I hear the 4 Cowboys joking about me- taunting me about being a girly boy and laughing and hooping and hollering. I ignore it at first and recount my money... I have a $5... a $2... a $1... another $1... My money amount changed on me. I look up to hear the cowboys teasing me again. I start to get pretty pissed off, which is surprising... I don't usually let this emotion get the best of me in a dream. I look at Alex and she motions for me to calm down. I don't. I think about getting up in their face... one of them makes a remark that I REALLY don't like and I raise my fist to slam it down in their face. I hear a "HEY! FREEZE!" and I let my fist go with the warm breeze just before it hits. My clenched fist's energy disperses and my hand glides slowly past his face. Smooth. Very smooth. Behind the trash-talker is someone on a horse, dressed in uniform. It's probably the Sheriff. The whole marketplace is suddenly ablaze with officers of the law, taking in anyone who is selling things illegally. The 4 we were just talking to were breaking the law too. I understood that anyone that had already bought something were okay, but the items had to be confiscated. I peaked over the wall to an area full of food and thought about sneaking some food off- but it might be a bad idea. People were scrambling every which way to get out of here, in quite the panic. Alex got seperated from us and me and Nathan went further down the path towards where we had seen the Sheriff. I glance to my right and see a Police Car collecting all of the food- good thing I hadn't tried to take anything. I also see what looks like a Gun Execution in progress. 4 cowboys standing in a row, and 4 officers in a row with guns pointed at the cowboys. Me and Nathan walk up just in time, and I pull him instantly back the other way to try and avoid us this dark sight. None of us actually "see" it, but its now in our mind. We hear the gunshots go off 3 seconds later. I turn to Nathan and joked, "Fuck, we're gonna be scarred for life now." In a way, I must have known this was a dream. We met up with Alex and then I woke back up.
<more dreams after this... I don't write any down and they evaporate...>
    4. The Tiny Cruise Ship and Douchebag Cowboys...

      dream : comments : lucid

      10th of January, 2012

I kept dropping in and out of lucidity throughout the whole night.

The dream, as far as I can recall, started off with us at some kind of western style ranch. We were having a campfire and drinking ol' style Whisky and such. I noticed a homestead a little bit away and we went up to it to check it out. I walked around a bit, admiring how interesting everything looked in my half-lucid state. After a little scrounging, I found this outdoor patio type area that had heaps (like HEAPS) of guns mounted all over the walls. Eventually things got a bit heated and some guys who I think owned the place approached me, at which point I picked two revolvers off the wall and started examining them. Evidently that was just the incentive one of the guys neded and he proceeded to shoot me in the neck. I lay dying for a bit and then things start to get hazy...

      -----

On a cruise ship doing some fencing (the sword type, not the wooden type). I was wearing the usual mask and remember some guy being really weird to me about it- I'm not exactly sure why, but I recall thinking he was a total dick at the time. Suddenly I found myself on land and walked around a bit admiring the sights; it was a small village with water through it, similar to Venice or something like that. Again, I was partially lucid at this point but not really in control per se. I turned around and noticed the cruise ship was really small, more a yacht in the canal. I gained a bit more lucidity and attempted to make it big again but ended up making myself huge as well. I climbed onto the side of the ship and peeped onto the deck, attempting to see the tiny people aboard, but couldn't make anything out. While I was there, some narration started about dinner or something and I started having these overlaid image flashes of the most delicious looking food ever!

      -----

The last one is really fragmentory. I know at the time it was a cohesive dream, but I forgot a lot of the content on waking.
Nooks and I moved house into a less impressive apartment. The courtyard had an awesome harbour view that was for some reason obstructed by tall walls on all sides. Lots of time spent in the carpark fixing lights and flying around and stuff. There were HEAPS of cars- thousands of them. Something to do with fixing a graphics card by plugging in these bio-wires on the wall of one of the parking spaces.

      Shadow Worlds
I am in school, taking a few CD's worth of data in to class for a presentation. I have completed the first level of a new video game I have been working on entitled Shadow Worlds. I go into the classroom, and it seems the instructor isn't pleased with me. She indicates I am late and I am getting special treatment to be able to give my presentation late. I figure it had better be good. I tell the rest of the class how I have been building the game using the Unity engine, I tell them a bit about the game which has to do with a dark cloud consuming everything and turning it into a vast expanse of dead nothingness… the player's goal is to restore the world to a natural state. Save forests, clean out lakes… I am giving a demonstration as I talk. I am thinking it came out pretty good. I tell everyone I have the first level completely done, so go ahead and play it if you want.

      Dallas Cowboys Football
I am one of the members of the Dallas Cowboys football team. It is pretty clear that a lot of the men on the team aren't pleased at having a woman on the team at all, and they don't seem to think I will accomplish much. I am one of the offensive linebackers, my primary job is to block and create openings for the rushing back. I am actually doing pretty good. Between the strength my dream body has and the fact the opponents seem to automatically underestimate me because I'm female, I am walking all over them. They don't seem to learn, either. Often times no one bothers picking me up at all, leaving me wide open to do what I want. The game is almost over, and we need one more field goal to win the game. We are way outside of field goal range. But I am also a kicker. There are only a couple seconds left, so nothing to be lost by kicking. I use a computer in my helmet to help me aim the ball and make sure it splits the uprights, my boosted strength drills the ball all the way, a 75 yard field goal. Never been done before! Everyone is cheering, though I wonder if the computer might be considered cheating. I ask the coach, he says it's not cheating… but don't tell the refs. That says to me it is cheating… some of my teammates are still unconvinced that I am an asset to the team.

      Disney Land
I am at Disney Land, and they have a new attraction. It is a water game of sorts. It is done in the water, and the goal is to throw small balls into whirlpools to score points. At the end of the round, whoever has the most points but has not gone over 200 points wins a prize. I go over 200 points very quickly. Damn… There is a way to reduce the score. I am trying to do that, it involves tricky maneuvers through a rocky underwater cave. I get the swim suit all ripped up. When I come out I am in rags. The people running the attraction are pissed. They tell me I have to replace the swim suit for $350. I say no swim suit is that much. They say they will also accept a replacement suit if I can find one. I go shopping. I find a matching suit for $75. I take it back. I briefly wonder if it is the right size… it is XXXL, looks like it would fit a small whale. They say that is no issue, it will shrink to fit whoever wears it, and stretch to fit the larger people. One size fits all swim suits. Um… whatever. A woman the size of a small whale is still having problems getting the suit to stretch enough to fit her.
    6. Cowboy Land Grab

by , 06-19-2010 at 06:17 PM (Sailing the Noosphere)
A team of cowboys is riding through a heavily forested area in what is clearly a Wild West setting. The team encounters a group of Indians who live on the land, and their first interactions are rather peaceful. Some of the cowboys feel that the Indian elders are plotting against them, but then again, the cowboys themselves are plotting too. They want to take over the land; both cultural assimilation and fighting are suggested.
Soon, one of the cowboys pulls up a tree from the ground, a oil starts to bubble up. He says, "The Federal Reserve is buying this, we're gonna be rich!" The cowboys claim the land, causing the Indians to join with local townsfolk and fight back. The townspeople are dressed in their everyday attire; I notice a lawyer, a banker, and a baker (complete with chef's hat). A crazy firefight ensues between the sides, with no resolution before the dream ends. One of the coolest moments is when the scene suddenly turns into LEGO bricks and goes slo-mo! The shooting continues, and the baker's hat deflects a bullet. Snaps back into real action after that.
