non-dream dream semi-lucid lucid false awakening A tv showing some house full of abandoned stuff, neighbors talking about the people who died or left, cops going around. They say they'll open up the house to people interested in taking things away. Me and mom apply. it's like a game, they choose people and divide into 4 family teams each with a coach / guide who explains the rules and guides us orderly into pre-selected divisions. We feel very anxious because there is a team who is being clearly favored, they are some 6 people and they are the first ones allowed in the house, while our coach is just stalling us with talk. We pressure her and she starts saying she will block us if we pressure her too much. She finally takes us to the living room and explains what we can take. We look around to choose because we can't take everything. I look at the bookshelf and see some books I really like, but leave it for the end. I'm certain the other contestants won't care about books. I find family pictures and realize our late friend's Nela family members and there's pictures of her so I grab all I can. I tell mom and she agrees the pics should stay with us. I am at home. Riverstone arrives. It's a summer storm like we never seen. Strong winds. I suspect by the sounds I hear that our gutters are not holding on. I check through the window and they break, ending up pieces on the roof and others on the ground. I go outside to pick it up but it's very dark, so I ask Riverstone for a flashlight. He hands me a wet sponge. I'm puzzled and say how did he heard sponge and why would I need a sponge? Then he goes back and brings the flashlight.
Night of September 30, 2017. Saturday. I am sitting on our couch in the darkness in our lounge room in our present home. I am on the right side of our couch facing the north end of our lounge room. I feel very peaceful and in a state of well-being and bliss. I soon become aware that our oldest son has come out of his room (from our lounge room’s access door on the west of his room). He has a pale yellow cell phone with a flashlight beam coming out of the top edge of it (not an item he has in real life). He moves it around, mainly in a horizontal semicircle from his right to his left, as if searching for something or someone, apparently me. He seems very cheerful though about five years younger than he presently is (though my dream self does not consider this distortion as such). I quickly wake as a result of RAS (reticular activating system, which is what biologically controls the dream state dynamics and inherent waking symbolism), still feeling very peaceful, calm, and happy. I had this longer microdream while actually sitting on our couch (same position and orientation as my dream) after the power had been out this evening for over an hour (the result of a regional blackout). I was so relaxed sitting in the darkness that I slipped into a microdream within a few minutes upon sitting down on our couch (which usually only happens as I am watching television). Our son carrying the flashlight “looking for me” was simply the biological RAS activation (otherwise typified as “searchlight waking symbolism” of the passive and positive kind). The emergent consciousness factor was quite brief and the preconscious dynamic was non-aggressive as this was not a dream of a longer sleeping period. (In actuality, our youngest son had used a flashlight but not on me during the period of my dream.) The cell phone feature is present due to RAS mediating consciousness (as a type of communication with the transient fictional dream self). The strictly biological RAS “searchlight effect” has occurred in hundreds of dreams since early childhood, including in documented dreams online such as “Steering Clear of a Laser Tracking Weapon” from 2013, “Spacecraft in the Alley” from 1997, “Not Exactly the Three Musketeers” from 1988, “Laser-Eyed Alligator” from 1979, “The Beam” from 1977, and a number of other dreams. For the majority of people who have no understanding of dreams, it may be important to address why this biological RAS activation is different in this case from other dreams that utilize the same basic waking symbolism (the dawning consciousness metaphor), for example, how does this dream differ from “Laser-Eyed Alligator” or other dreams of the same type? The most obvious difference here is, I expected and wanted the power to come back on. In “Laser-Eyed Alligator” and “Steering Clear of a Laser Tracking Weapon”, my dream self, at a subliminal level, did not want to wake yet. This is what RAS and the transpersonal preconscious are for. It is not rocket science unless one is superstitious and clueless. On a side note, I talked with my lovely wife Zsuzsanna tonight about a possibility of perhaps editing and resupplementing all 4,000 or so of my dream journal entries presently on the Internet to make them more “idiot-proof”. Alas, this seems next to impossible. No matter how much clarity and accuracy I include in some of my entries, based on over fifty years of experience, there are people who do not get dreams at all (or of whom are of the unfortunate mentality to believe in “dream interpretation” in the various superstitious or pseudo-psychological ways the term is misused). There always seems to be one person (usually a male with obvious personal issues) who somehow feels the need to contradict the obvious or add to my post in various ways. I am stating that here just in case such a comment appears on an entry.
LONG, LONG LUCID DREAM It was 4 am in the morning and the dream began in the same way my last lucid dreams have started I have the feeling that I'm being dragged back from ny head and then I feel that the bed rotates clockwise. Suddenly (without any respect for my person ) I am thrown to the ground. Lying on the floor I begin fighting an entity that tries to keep me from moving. I do not see it but I can feel it. . All I can do is try to bite it. I choose to keep quiet and then the entity fades. Then I get up and head for the door of the room . This time I choose to go out using the back of the house and into a lake. Since I know I'm dreaming I jump into the water. I can walk on the water without sinking and I can hear the sound of water and feel it on my feet. I leave the lake and notice that it is dark and it strikes me that if I use a flashlight I could see better. . The flashlight works effectively. I can see quite far from the lake. The dream continues for a long time, I go to the neighbors but the people inside are alien. Finally decided to finish the dream and wake up. It lasted 20 minutes more or less.
So this is based in my house and the scene is repeated usually in my room, so my mum has a a husband but she doesn't have one in real life, so my sort of step dad has these two assistants who visit my room every night and to steal stuff from my room, nothing else and I'm always scared of them even though they never hurt of me. When these two men open the door they point a flashlight at me everytime to see if I'm asleep, usually I wake up when they do that but one time I woke up and they were in my room already. They visited me twice in the dream. the first time they opened the door I said "Eh" I struggled to say it cause I felt like my body was paraliyzed and really tired, they closed the door immedietly. I then told my mum to tell my stepdad to get them the hell out cause they've been doing that ever since the stepdad arrived (never managed to steal anything) She believed in me but then my stepdad didn't, he told me I just wanted attention and the reason I wanted attention was because I was a slut (I AM NOT!) The next day they came back like most of the time, pointed the flashlight at me again but this time I felt paralyzed, tired and sick. I couldn't speak I just watched them walk around me room nothing else. I would wake up really scared and I almost had a panic attack when I saw my bedroom door was wide open but then I realized my cat was on my bed so it was him.
21.06.2012The Prince of Light (Non-lucid) NON-DREAM DREAM LUCID I remember being picked to be in some sort of class. I walked in. The room was pretty dark, and only ominous light shown from hidden places around the room. Each desk was set on a stair step, and their were also desks opposite those desks on the other side of the stair step. I walked around awkwardly, trying to find a desk. Almost all of them were taken. I decided to pick one right beside a girl I thought I knew. After everyone had settles, a weird air set over the place. All of a sudden, everyone turned into a different person. They were their same "person", just different attitudes. They became very slow and almost unresponsive. For some reason, I was unaffected. The "camera" went up to the top of the stairs. It showed an immediate drop off to the floor below. A shining boy flew in. The "camera" focused on him. He had snowy white hair. He was standing up on something. I assumed that somthing possessed magic that gave him the ability to fly. He had kind eyes, and a dazzling smile. The whole being of him just sparkled with pure white light. 21.06.2012Exploring (Non-lucid) NON-DREAM DREAM LUCID I remember being in some sort of small cave, exploring or something. A boy was with me. He had brought two flashlights with him. Ignoring the other flashlight, I just shot light out of my hands. I thought nothing about it. Another little creature was with us. It was very hyper, and we had to shine our lights on it wherever it went, so we wouldn't lose it. My lights started to dim, but I quickly renewed them by willing them to brighten and extending my arms out further.

Good morning, everybody. Dream #1 I was on a somewhat crowded subway platform. I got onto a train, possibly without being quite sure that the train was the one I needed. The train went for a little way, then I realized that it red the wrong train. A few other people realized the train was the wrong one. I thought we'd all have to go back the way we'd come and get on the right train from the stop we'd left grim. But now a few black women and I were all out, walking on the tracks of an elevated, above-ground portion of the train's route. It was dark night, and we could barely see anything. One of the women may have had a flashlight with her. Apparently we were looking for the correct train. We'd just gotten off our previous train through something like an auxiliary door while the train had been stopped. Apparently, once we found the correct train, it would somehow stop again, and we'd get on through another auxiliary door. But as we walked along the tracks, I got more and more afraid. It was dark, and you couldn't see anything outside of the beam of the weak flashlight. Plus, the floor of the elevated platform seemed to be made out of really cheap, brittle plastic. As we progressed, it felt like the plastic was breaking more and more under our steps. These elevated tracks were also really high above ground. So I felt like I could break through the plastic floor and fall to my death at any moment. I wondered how much more of this I could take. I felt bad, because the women I was with didn't seem to be afraid at all. But I was hoping I could get away from them and find a more sensible way of catching a train. I was now back on a subway platform. The platform was for one of the elevated stops. It felt pretty lonely. I had the feeling that I was here because I'd willed myself to be out of the situation of walking on the tracks. So I was kind of disappointed in myself. I'd obviously let my fear get to me so that I'd ended up in a different situation. I didn't even know if this train was the one I was looking for, anyway.
Lucid: Green Nonlucid: Blue Notes: Black Vividness: 4/5 Lucidity: 0/5 controll: 0/5 I was inside a huge house. There were several underground floors. The house itself was only 2 flora with a basement, but there were about six floors under the basement. All of the floors looked similar, beige carpet on the floors and walls. I walked down to the first basement floor and saw a bunch of guys frantically looking for something. They said there was a problem on the bottom floor. I, like an idiot, decided to check it out. Each basement floor was well lighted. Each floor except the floor before the lowest basement and the lowest basement floor itself had people looking for something as well. I walked down the stairs to the last floor. Upon arriving there a few ghosts (from luigi's mansion??) came out at me. Strangely I wasnt afraid. I just kinda walked upstairs like nothing happened. But these people obviously wanted to get rid of the ghosts, right? So I decided to help them. I went back to the first floor, but appeared outside the house somehow. There were a lot of people there, seemingly frozen in time. They were talking, but ignored everything around them, including me. It was really strange. I entered the house and saw someone I knew from geometry class. I told him not to worry about the ghosts, and that I could eliminate them if I found a vacuum cleaner and a flashlight. The dream ends here though.
I'm at home and it is night time. All the lights are out and I am in the kitchen standing by the front door in my night clothes. I can hear people walking around the house and I am sure they are going to try and break-in. I am scared because I am home alone. A flashlight beam shines in the kitchen window and I hide in the hall space between the front door and garage door. When the flashlight beam disappears, I quickly glance around the hall wall and look out the kitchen window. I cannot see the intruders, but I hear their footfalls going around the house towards the back. In the front yard I can see a white Aveo. The vehicle is nowhere near the driveway and has been backed up onto the lawn and almost into the garden. Though it is dark, I can see that the car has torn up the lawn pretty badly and there are deep mud tracks gouged into the grass. I turn my attention to the backdoor and dash through the house to make sure it is locked. I can hear the intruders walk up onto the wooded porch and approach the door. I crouch down as far as I can and hope that they will not see me with their flashlight beam. The door handle rattles once and my body tenses and my adrenaline rushes. I feel light-headed and like I have butterflies in my stomach. The intruders slowly walk off the porch and I can hear them head back towards the front of the house. I run as fast as I can to the front hall and go into the garage. There is a crowbar on the seat of my dad's boat and I grab it for protection. I go back into the kitchen hall and wait for the intruder's next move, but I can no longer hear their movements. I am afraid that they may have heard me open the garage door and are planning to attack me.
