    1. 3/16/15 "Canceled Movie" + "Mountains, Goblins, Geisha" (DILD + NLD)

      by , 03-17-2015 at 07:43 PM
      Ritual: WTB 1am, WBTB 4:45 to 6:15, woke 6:45 am with first dream, 8:30am with second.

      DILD, "Canceled Movie": Theater, lights go down to start movie, then come up again, we all have to move, no clear reason. I lose track of my mom and brother. General confusion. I wonder if it is a dream. I feel convinced it is though I can't be sure. How to figure out? Reason, if it's a dream then in WL I should have already seen the movie and be able to recall it (dream logic!) I think back and can't remember what movie I watched today. Still not sure, need more substantive proof: levitate something. Point to stairs and levitate small random object; decide I need a barrette for my hair and it is one by the time it hits my palm. Pin back my hair. Okay, pretty sure I'm dreaming, that's good. Distracted by all the confusion around me still, people trying to figure out what is going on, don't think of tasks, wake up.

      Note: I wrote the notes above hastily because I hadn't gotten much sleep yet and wanted to get back to bed as soon as possible. One detail I left out because it seemed too insignificant to mention was that in the dream, when I first got up and was gathering my things to leave the theater, I put two large jars in my purse and was surprised that they fit. I don't remember now what they contained, but I have the impression that at least one was a beverage. This is only relevant now because of what happened later.

      I had made coffee late at night because I still had a lot of work to get done before the next day, but realizing I was too tired to simply stay up late, I decided to go to bed and get up to work after a few hours of sleep. I left the coffee to cool on the counter in the large mason jar that I always use to make it, hipster pour-over style. During my WBTB I again decided not to drink the coffee since I was planning to return to bed, and transferred it to a smaller mason jar with a lid that put in the fridge. The next morning, the coffee was still there and I was feeling groggy, so I brought it to work with me. At the end of a long day, as I was gathering my things to go home, I tried stowing the now-empty mason jar in my purse for lack of a better place to put it, and was surprised that it fit. I had a sudden flashback to the same thing happening in the dream that morning. The parallel felt eerily similar, though I had to reflect with amusement that if this was an example of dream precog, it only seems to happen for me with the most wildly trivial and insignificant events.

      NLD, "Mountains, Goblins, Geisha": I'm part of a group that is planning to take a trip to a town high up a mountain. I show my friend a picture of the mountain, which is alarmingly tall and sheer, and point to the location of the little town three-quarters of the way up. I've been there before and am nervous about the drive because the roads are so dangerous. I'm convinced that when I remembered the drive I was actually drawing on memories from a different dream long ago.

      On the mountain, we become the playthings of some goblins. I don't recall what they are doing to the boys, but the girls all have to make themselves up and dress like geisha. The goblins are telepathic, so we have to moderate our thoughts. We end up with psychological conflicts because we are obliged to maintain conscious thought patterns that are at variance with what we "really" think.

      We are being housed in some dingy rooms with cheap blue carpets. I wonder if they were originally designed as dorm rooms, and that question makes me wonder where all of this is actually taking place. I sense the unreality of my situation, but I attribute it to the idea that we're being filmed.

      I look out the window to see if there are any clues about our real location. In the window of the building next door I see a neon "Michelob" sign—it must be a bar! I look for more clues, and see a sign attached the building with the word "Make." That must be the name of the bar... later I'll have to google to see if I can figure out where such a place is located. My suspicions are that we're somewhere in the Catskills or Adirondacks.

      First dream I was playing this game, but it was like "fullscreen" so I only saw the game. It was 2d and very similar to mario and a mix of the impossible game. The characters were all pixely like the old mario games and your character was some chick running from TONS of people, the game was actually seriously fun and intense. You run from all these people and they're also in front of you, and theres tons of platforms you have to jump up or down to, to dodge them. I remember losing twice.

      I had a dream were my Dad told me I needed to be an exorcist, and that my first job was to stop the goblins from getting up this flight of stairs. The stairs were surrounded by walls, like it was it's own room, and at the bottom had a door. It was really dark, too. My dad gave me this thing, it was shaped like a cow bell, except thin and it was thick at the top and thin at the bottom, and closed at the bottom. it had wavy lines on it, and the whole thing emitted light. In my other hand was a flashlight, and suddenly he gave me a table and he told me "flip this over and it'll probably generate lava" (for whatever reason, this made sense because of the game I played earlier, I guess there was some part about lava). So I placed the light-thing on the left side in front of the door, and the flashlight down on the rightside creating some kind of line of defense. My second line of defense was the upside down table, which never made lava. Also, I had some makeshift spear to kill them with. After all this, I opened the door and these shadowy creatures began to flood out and I couldn't hit them for the lift of me, and I chased them upstairs but to no avail. I closed the door so more couldn't get out. I thought of a strategy, I open the door and let one out and then I kill it. So I opened it and one came out, I hit it once and it flew back into the room. I shut the door and looked under the door, it was looking back at me. Imagine a brown, hairless dog with pink paws and the snout is instead a pink molerat snout. It was a nasty creature. I opened the door and started stabbing it in the face and I was utterly DISGUSTED and it wouldn't die so I had to jam it in over and over again. There was no blood at all (thank god) and as I did this my nose started to hurt, and then I woke up. The dream freaked me out...

      Next dream I was in class with all these people. It was a mix of my homeroom and my english class. I talked to some people, that's all I remember.

      Facing the Goblin Hoard (Non-lucid)

      NON-DREAM DREAM LUCID

      My faithful companions and I enter the palace of the light goblins, seeking the Goblin Princess named Whisper. She had sent word to my Knight that she has some important information for us. The light goblins may be less savage than their kin, but we still must be careful. Humans in the palace are subject to intense scrutiny: one wrong move and we'll all be killed.

      A young female goblin servant slips my knight a letter from the Princess. It reads: "I'm in the subconscious right now. You must meet me in the Requiem." We all exchange anxious glances. The Requiem--- home of the dark goblins--- is exactly where we did NOT want to go.

      We begrudgingly make our way to the Market and buy as much fruit as we can, as tribute to the dark goblins. You won't get very far in the Requiem without a substantial food offering to pacify the greedy little beasts.

      Then the time comes to enter the massive cave system known as the Requiem. We decide to go in groups of two to ease suspicion. The Dark Goblins tend to find humans amusing, even going as far as inviting large groups of them to attend events in the Requiem's inner chambers. However, getting to these inner chambers is easier said than done. The goblins along the way will find any excuse to snatch a human away before they reach their destination.

      Because the goblins are confident in their vast numbers (and rightly so) we are allowed to bring in our weapons under the condition that they are sheathed at all times. I decide to bring my faithful scimitar, though I hope I won't be needing it.

      I enter the caves with my friend Alma, a healer who is actually quite knowledgable about Goblin culture. After giving the doorman his part of the tribute, we make our way inside. An older she-goblin stops me a few minutes into our slow, wary journey. She wants to play a game with me. Apparently this game involves slapping me in the face with a mostly deflated balloon. I stand there and take it, hoping that she'll grow weary of the "game" and let me go. She tells me I'm not doing it right, that I'm supposed to cry out in pain. I realize she is kind of like a child who hits an adult and finds it funny when the adult pretends that the weak attack has injured them. The next time the she-goblin hits me, I cry out and pretend to be in pain. Unfortunately, an older male goblin watching nearby lets out an annoyed "shhhhh!"

      "Ah, a shush from him means an execution. Too bad!" the old she-goblin cackles. I sigh in frustration and weigh my options. Resisting their attacks wouldn't do much good--- there are far too many of them to fight. Even if I could, it would put Alma in the middle of the danger. I have no choice but to run.

      So run I do. I barrel into the annoying she-gob, sending her sprawling to the floor. I bolt through the door before me, cringing at the sheer number of goblins who begin chasing after me.

      I run for a very long time, deftly taking unexpected turns and even throwing myself through a large stained glass window, but they always keep right on my heels. Maybe it's time to make a stand.

      I climb up a pillar in a large cathedral like room, all the way up to the rafters. I figure that the goblins could only move single file along the narrow beams, thus allowing me to chop them down one at a time. But more by luck than anything, I somehow fall through a nearby window into a large courtyard where a lot of other humans are gathered for an event (including my comrades). Goblins are notoriously bad at recognizing individual humans in a crowd, so I blend right in and successfully escape. As long as I can hide my limp from the fall, they shouldn't recognize me...

      Field of Dreams
      I am lying on a blanket in a green field, I have just entered a WILD. The field is a very nice place, and a gentle breeze is blowing across the grass. I see I am alone in the field. I try to get up but there seems to be something holding me down. I can't move. I wonder if I am experiencing sleep paralysis. That seems odd, I haven't had a problem with that in the past. I try again to get up, but when I find I can't move, I decide to let myself relax and enjoy the feel of the soft grass beneath me and the gentle breeze blowing over me.

      But I feel like I'm not alone… so I don't want to stay still. I look around and I don't see anyone. But I feel them there. I lie back in the grass and try to feel who might be around me. I sense hostile intent. I don't like the idea of being in sleep paralysis and surrounded by enemies. So I focus on the song Dark Power of Abyss and try to do an Immortal Fire. The spell goes off, though it isn't as powerful as it usually is since I can't move. What it does do is break my sleep paralysis so I can get up. I look around and I don't see anyone, there is no sign that there was anyone there at all. I focus on opening a portal to the moon, I remember plans to continue healing. A portal opens and I go through to the balancing pools. When I get there I see that Nomad is already there, as is Winter. I go over to Winter and focus healing energy through her, hoping to keep her fibromyalgia under control. I direct healing energy to Nomad's foot to get rid of the remnants of the sores he has there. After that is done I sink into the balancing pools. It is very relaxing. I sink into the warm water and fall asleep in the dream.

      The Goblin King
      I am with a group of other people at the entrance to a castle. I recognize the people I am with. Nomad, Spike, Bakura, Altaïr are all there. What I notice is that while I recognize them all, everyone looks like a Templar. I look like a Templar. I wonder why we are all dressed as Templars. Templars are a dream sign, so I do a reality check and become fully lucid. There is a group of Templars going into the castle, and we go into the castle with that group. No one notices us there and the gates close behind us. Nomad says we have to find out where the Goblin King is being held. I look around for some sign that might tell me where he might be. I see one door that has a couple Templar guards on each side of it. I wonder if that might be where we need to go. It doesn't look like they're even letting Templars through the door. I get over closer to them and notice they are watching me closely. I focus on reading them telepathically. The door does indeed lead to a dungeon, and that is where the Goblin King is locked up. They are under orders to keep everyone out except for a select few Templars. It also appears that the guards are under orders to kill the prisoner if there is any sign of a rescue attempt. I move on before anyone becomes too suspicious. I tell the others I know where the Goblin King is being held. I am thinking one of us will have to disguise ourselves as a specific Templar when I see someone approaching the door. I pull invisibility cloaks from my pockets and pass them around, we slip through the door behind the Templar guard that they allow through. On the way down to the dungeon Altaïr takes out the single Templar, who has a key to the lower areas. The dungeon is empty except for the Goblin King and a couple more Templars guarding his cell.

      Nomad takes out one of the guards and Spike takes out the other. Inside the cell we find there is a goblin chained to the far wall, he looks very cranky. After letting him know who we are we try to unlock the chains, but the key doesn't fit. I use the Harry Potter unlock spell alohamora to open the locks and free the prisoner. He is clearly not in the mood to make a stealthy exit… he charges out of the room like he thinks he can take on every Templar in the place by himself. We follow him out of the dungeon and get to the main level of the castle just as he is bursting through the door into the main courtyard. Nomad fires off a flare, no doubt indicating it is ok to make a move now. I hear a commotion from outside the castle, it sounds like there is an army attacking the castle. The Goblin King is under attack, though no one is attacking the rest of us since we still look like Templars. I use Battery and call down lightning to strike Templars as they attack the Goblin King. No one seems to know exactly where the lightning is coming from. They notice when it appears several Templars are helping the Goblin King, however. Something is smashing at the main gate of the castle. Nomad gets over near the gate and pulls the lever that opens it, allowing a swarm of goblins into the castle. Now everything is chaos. I make sure to switch back to my usual Assassin robes, I don't want to be a target for the goblins. I use the song Damage, Inc. to call fireballs to hit Templars. The fight doesn't take long before the entire place is overrun by goblins. I see a portal in the back of the castle with the last few Templars retreating through it. The portal closes just before the goblins reach it. I am thinking that must be the last of them, and it is here I wake.

      So yeah....I took a half a pil wtf.

      We're riding on the back of a truck and doing exercises on this beam structure. Every time someone does something more over the top, I'm thinking they're going to fall and die. It's getting a little too extreme, so I move up to the bed of the truck. My brother is driving, and the wind is blowing through my hair. The mountain side looks pretty lush, and I see wolves running around on them. I took a quick picture on my phone, and everything freaking changed.

      The scenery got bleak, and the wolves started running at the truck, the girl I was with turned into a goblin, snakes and rats were trying to get in. I moved up inside the truck (it was more like a SUV now) snapped a rats neck and put it in the window crack and rolled it up to secure it. I figured an extra target would help distract them. I finished the dream wrestling some snake.

    6. Collection of Notes

      by , 07-26-2012 at 04:25 AM (redisreddish's mess of dreams is still messy)
      I'm just going to copy some notes, straight out of my written journal. So some of them might sound a little strange.
      ~~~~
      ~Go to some country to give toys to kids, we show a girl a balloon, a car, and a helicopter.
      ~At a weird camp where little goblins can take you.
      ~Fish fight
      ~Ice cubes covered in chocolate
      ~I'm in a play, pretty big role. I have a speech part and it sounds stupid, can't figure out how I should say it.
      ~In the filming of Harry Potter! One line, but still... It's in Russia, I want to talk to someone. Two brothers are spraying each other with a garden hose, so I talk to them and they ask me if I like peanut butter and jelly sandwiches or waffles with ketchup.
      ~Found Kenny Chesney, he's eating some ice cream, I talk to him.
      ~Fighing zombies as Link with the weapons from Twilight Princess
      ~Grandma on the phone with a girl telling her where to drive and keeping her from falling asleep
      ~Looking at miniature typewriters, there's a pretty blue one
      ~One of those dreams with a huge storyline I forget as soon as I wake up. I was a vampire, Louis and Lestat were there, and Gabe from Good Luck Charlie. Apparently the movie (Interview With the Vampire) is playing out and since I know what happens I tell Gabe I'm from the future.
    7. The Elf Prince
      by , 09-07-2010 at 07:24 PM (Visions in the Dark)
      I am lost in a dark forest and though I cannot see them, I know there are goblins chasing me. The trees of the forest are huge and look like sequoias except that their bark is grey and white rather than red. I can see the full moon sometimes between the branches of the huge trees but it offers little light to find my way through the forest.
      I come to a river that is is not very wide but it is very deep and the water is moving very fast. I am afraid that I will be swept away with the current if I try to swim across. I head downstream, following as close to the river as I can while staying amoungst the trees.
      Because of the noise of the fast flowing water, I cannot hear goblins sneaking up behind me. One of them grabs my arm but I shake him off and in a panic I jump into the river. The water carries me fast and far away from the goblins but I have trouble keeping my head above the water and start to drown.
      I am almost out of air when someone grabs me around the waist and pulls me to the other side of the river. I cough out all the water I swallowed as the man who saved me pats me gently on the back. When I have calmed down a bit I see that we are in a clearing and with no trees blocking the moonlight I can see the man who saved me.
      He looks like Legolas (as played by Orlando Bloom in Peter Jackson's rendition of the Lord of the Rings trilogy), and is dressed in royal silver and blue robes. A silver crown sits on his head and catches the moonlight in such a way that it looks as if there is a glowing halo surrounding his head.
      I lay in awe on the ground and look up at him and he just softly smiles at me. I cannot remember any more of this dream.
    8. 08/03/10 Oblivion - The Flaming Sword
      by , 08-07-2010 at 01:15 AM (New Dream Adventures of Raven Knight)
      I focused on following don Juan and MoSh, tried to open a portal, but nothing happened… hmmm… maybe I was really not meant to follow them. I figured I might as well continue to another goal for the night…
      I opened a portal to get back to the biodome, my first thing would be to check to see if anyone was waiting there for me at the koi pond. I went through the portal and entered the biodome right next to the tree which grows loaves of fresh bread instead of the usual apples or oranges, I picked myself a loaf of fresh french bread, it already smelled of butter, then I went to the bench by the koi pond. I sat there and ate my bread, it was definitely already buttered, I tossed a few pieces of bread into the pond, those were quickly snatched up by the fish. After I finished my bread I sat there a couple more minutes, but I was afraid if I sat there and did nothing for too long I would lose lucidity or lose the dream or both, I kind of felt the dream slipping even now, I stood up and focused on one of the koi to try to stabilize the dream. As I brought the koi into focus the dream around me became more stable. So what now? One of my goals was to share an Oblivion dream with Tigress… either that or a DDO dream, either way, I had to find Tigress first. I opened the portal with the goal of locating Tigress for this kind of dream.
      I emerged from the portal to find myself in a grassy area near a cave. I wasn't sure where I was, but it did look something like a scene in Oblivion, which was one possibility I had been looking for. Of course I had been looking for Tigress, not for a specific location, so I thought she might be somewhere in the area. I looked around to see if I could find Tigress anywhere, and I finally spotted a woman there with me, though if it wasn't for her energy I wouldn't have recognized her as Tigress… although the form did make sense. She was a khajiit off of Oblivion, she had armor and weapons and looked ready to head into battle.
      She gave me a strange look and then said there aren't any Assassins in Oblivion, I said there are, there's the Dark Brotherhood which is basically an Assassin's guild, and I have seen screenshots where people have created a custom Oblivion character to look like Altaïr. Besides, this is an Oblivion dream, not the actual game Oblivion, so I can be whatever character I want. She said she wasn't trying to say my being an Assassin was bad, just that there are no Assassin's Creed style Assassins in Oblivion, so it would be interesting to see how it worked if I kept my actions limited to the game abilities of Altaïr. She said she thought it would result in a kick ass character. She said she already had a quest, she described the quest to me, our goal was to sneak into the goblin caves and find the lost magical sword of flames within, but we would most likely have to fight our way out once we had it because taking it would alert the goblins. But if we were discovered before we got the sword, the goblins would no doubt move it to a new location and we would lose our chance to steal it. Stealth on the way in, steal sword, fighting on the way out. Got it.
      So now Tigress and I quietly entered the cave, the door made a creaking noise that seemed disturbingly loud, but the sound didn't draw any response. There was a long passage that lead to a ledge overlooking a larger chamber down below. At the far end of the chamber there were two goblins guarding a door, it looked like the large chamber was there so that no one could easily sneak up on the guards. The room was well lighted with torches, the goblins were too far away to make an archery shot easy, and there was no hidden approach. While the archery shot appeared difficult at best, that didn't deter Tigress, who pulled her bow off her back and aimed an arrow at one of the guards. She had one arrow aimed, a second arrow already in her hand, then she fired… and fired the second arrow in quick succession. Both of the goblins dropped silently to the ground. Nice shots, and I told Tigress so. We went down to the lower level using a ladder and went straight to the cave the fallen goblins had been guarding, Tigress found a key on one of them and used it to open the door.
      There was another passage beyond the door with doors opening off to the sides, but there was no way such a valuable item, and we also had intelligence reports that the sword we were looking for was down on the third level of the dungeon. The passage ended in a larger room where there were quite a few goblins lined up, like soldiers ready for battle, but that didn't last for long before they moved out in an organized line. That left four goblins visible on the other side of the room talking amongst themselves. They didn't seem to be paying much attention to our side of the room, apparently they didn't consider the threat of invasion to be very high since they were in a very relaxed and casual state. About ten feet to their left there was a large bell that would no doubt serve to alert the rest of the goblins in the dungeon that there was an intruder. I scanned the room and saw there were also two goblins on either side of the passage exit. So, at the same time, Tigress let loose a volley of arrows to take down the four goblins in quick succession and I knifed the goblins beside the passage entrance with my hidden blade.
      So our quest continued like this, us progressing silently through the maze of passages, selecting the passages that were least watched by goblins which meant that they were sometimes harder to traverse. Tigress took out distant goblins with excellent archery skills, making hits that looked neigh impossible, I snuck up on goblins that were never aware of my presence until my blade was already in them. We finally found our way down to the main treasure chamber, which had to be opened by inserting five seals in the star shaped carving. Once the seals were in place, the carving turned around and the door slid open. The room beyond looked really cool. There was a sword on display in the middle of the room, on a small pedestal in a cylinder of light, the sword was floating in the air, hilt down, blade up, and it was on fire. The room was filled with a dim blue glow.
      Tigress and I went into the room and over to the sword, which was burning brightly, I somehow knew that as soon as someone touched the sword an alarm would sound. Tigress and I paused for a bit, I formed Witchblade into a sword and motioned to Tigress that she could use the fire sword since her element is fire, and then she took it. Sure enough, the sound of alarm bells rang through the caves, I didn't even know how they had been set off, but they were loud. Goblins were coming in from the chamber entrance, our way out was completely blocked, and we were completely surrounded. The goblins were growling menacingly, no doubt assured of their victory… Tigress and I fought and killed quite a few goblins. They were staying back, but they still blocked our way. We would just have to go through them.
      Tigress and I were about to do just that when there was a portal, and MoSh came into the room. He didn't even seem to notice the goblins there at all, he looked annoyed at me… He said that since I hadn't followed him and don Juan he was going to completely forget everything they said and did. He said he was going to completely forget what don Juan had said about tapping into his inner power to reach his full potential, Tigress let out a "pfft" that MoSh didn't notice or ignored, the goblins were getting a bit perplexed by this newcomer that had somehow gotten straight into their treasure chamber and was completely ignoring the lot of them. The goblins were snarling angrily at all of us, especially at MoSh, who turned and told them to shut the fuck up, they weren't about to forget some important information. Well, he might as well use it during the short time he would have it… He took a few steps towards the goblins, stopped, then a wave of energy expanded out from him and incinerated every goblin it touched, though it washed harmlessly over Tigress and myself… Shortly after the energy wave MoSh disappeared, apparently having woken up.
      Well, whatever had brought MoSh there, he had broken the barricade of goblins, causing quite a few of them to run away in fear of whatever that energy pulse had been. Tigress and I got out of the sword chamber and fought our way through the goblins, taking them down in huge numbers, leaving a trail of dead goblins in our wake. We finally got out of the caverns and into the sunlight, which was very bright after the caves, and it appeared it was even brighter to Tigress since she was a khajiit. Tigress said the sword was a treasure of the khajiit, it had been stolen by the goblins. I told her I thought I was about to wake up, so I would see her later, and then I woke.
