      Movies at Home
I am in my own house, it is pretty late at night. There are no lights on, but there's light being emitted by the large screen television in the living room. I go into the room and look at the TV. It seems bigger than I remembered it being… I see there are quite a few people sitting around the TV, all the seats on the couch are filled, both chairs, and there are a few people sitting on the floor. I see my friend Alicia sitting to the left of the TV, and she is making out with some guy I don't know. I don't want to interrupt. I see another friend Tigress off to the right side of the TV, but she is making out with Silver Wolf. I don't want to interrupt them, either. There is a guy sitting almost directly in front of the TV by himself, just watching the movie. I go over and sit down beside him. I look at the movie and I see it is something I don't recognize. I also have the idea it is something I have no interest in. I look over at the guy to my left. I see that he has long silvery hair that seems to shine in even the minimal light of the room. He must have sensed me watching him because he looks over at me. It's Sephiroth! I sit there and stare at Sephiroth for a bit, drawing a strange look from him. I am about to say something to him to explain my rudeness, but before I can he surprises me by pulling me over to him and kissing me full on the lips! I ignore the movie and make out with Sephiroth.

      Locked Away
I am in a prison cell of some kind. I have no idea how I got to be there, all I can think of is how my mother is going to react when she finds out I got myself arrested. I have the idea I haven't even gotten to make my one phone call or talk to my lawyer… what is going on here? I try to think of what I might have done to end up in prison. Someone across the hall is yelling rather rude things at me, I choose to ignore him. He is just another prisoner, and probably has no more idea why I am here than I do. Even if he does, he is clearly too rude to help me out. I hear him saying something about magic… about me doing magic to get out of here? Why not? I think for a bit and finally a Harry Potter spell comes to mind… Alohamora. I use that spell on the locked door and I hear a click as the lock disengages. I am about to leave when I hear someone coming. The guy across the hall seems to think the guards are coming to execute me, though I seriously don't think I am in here for anything that serious. I probably got caught stealing something. Unless, of course, I broke in somewhere to steal something and there was a murder that just happened to have taken place at that same scene which I was also being accused of… The guards arrive and someone is complaining that there is a prisoner in this cell, so I step back. Apparently they weren't coming for me after all. So after they're gone, I'll leave. There is a strange old man there who seems to know me, he claims to be the emperor. Emperor? What does he think this is, a game of Oblivion? It turns out that is exactly what he thinks. He says he is Uriel Septim. Um… am I in a game of Oblivion? Cool! I guess I didn't get arrested at all, I just entered a virtual reality so realistic that I forgot it was a game! Harry Potter spells work in Oblivion? I figure it must be a mod. The emperor and the guards leave through the secret exit and I follow them, thinking Oblivion is going to be awesome in virtual reality, but then I wake.

      Game Analysis 101
I am in school, it seems to be a game design class. Everyone is talking about some video games and comparing them. I am paying some attention, but I feel quite tired and I also feel like falling asleep. My eyelids are heavy and I close them just enough to rest them. I drift to sleep, and then I get poked by the person next to me. I look and I see that my ex-boyfriend is in the class with me, and he has poked me to wake me up. I stay awake long enough to hear everyone is now discussing Oblivion, and how it compares to Fallout 3. The subject of Skyrim comes up as the instructor asks if anyone has played that and how it compares. James says all of them blow ass. I comment he wouldn’t know a good game if it bit him. He gives me a strange look, maybe says something, but I am again drifting off to sleep. My eyes close and then I wake up.

      Cats!
I am in a place I don’t recognize, it is a house, and it is a big one. I have no thought that I’m not supposed to be there, I am just wandering around and exploring. I enter a bedroom and see an adorable tabby cat on the bed. How cute! I turn to leave the bedroom and I almost trip over a tortie cat right behind me. Wow… where did you come from? I pat the kitty and head down the hall towards the bathroom. In the bathroom I find there is no human toilet, but there are four cat pans lined against the far wall. Am I supposed to use the cat pan? Even if I wanted to, they are all occupied. There is a cat doing business in each one and also three more cats patiently waiting in line. Wow… 7 more cats! I pat the last one in line and head out to find a human bathroom. I don’t find another bathroom, but I find my way back to the living room. I go to sit on the couch but I am warded off by a hiss. I almost sat on a cat! I look and see there are seven cats crowded onto the seat of the couch, all lying around each other. There are three more cats on the back of the couch and a cat on each arm. 12 more cats! I mentally count cats and realize I have found 21 cats so far. I turn from the couch and almost fall on my face as I realize I am about to step on a cat’s tail and I move awkwardly to avoid doing that. 22 cats… I wake up with a single cat purring beside me.
    4. 01/27/12: Train to Oblivion

by , 01-28-2012 at 12:55 AM (New Dream Adventures of Raven Knight)
      01/27/12

      Crazy Train
I am near the train tracks that are a couple miles from my house. It is either early in the morning or late in the afternoon, I don't spend much time thinking about that. I am waiting for the next train to come by. I know trains come along about every hour and they come to a stop near this railroad crossing to allow other trains to pass on the adjacent track. So I am waiting there for the next train to come along, I plan to hop on the train and see where it goes. I am thinking then all I have to do is jump on a train going the other direction when I want to come back.

I haven't been there for very long when a train comes along. It comes to a stop just past the railroad crossing, and proceeds to wait there for the other train to arrive and pass. I walk along the side of this train, looking for a way to board. I see an open box car and I head for that, it should work. I see there is someone already in the car. I am about to continue on my way when I realize I recognize the person. It's MoSh! Apparently MoSh has decided to travel into the USA using trains to get around for free. I head towards the car and call out his name, he looks over at me. The train is moving, though. Why so soon? It should have waited for another train to pass! I chase after the car with MoSh on it, it is clear he is going to help me on board if I can just catch up enough… the train is accelerating way too fast, much faster than should be possible… I am feeling quite disappointed and depressed as it pulls away and takes MoSh with it.

      To Oblivion and Beyond!
I am inside a game of Oblivion, and I am looking to close an Oblivion gate. I also want to collect a lot of bloodgrass from Oblivion since the primary effect of bloodgrass is the chameleon effect. So I am wandering through the forests and fields looking for an Oblivion gate. I finally spot what I am looking for. It is at the bottom of a hill I am on. I hurry down the hill, jumping to move faster. I jump farther than I intend and I fall quite some distance to the ground below. I am thinking I will get hurt, but I land with no problem at all. I go through the gate into Oblivion.

Oblivion looks like I expect it to look, so I get straight to it. I pick several pieces of bloodgrass and see a couple scamps. I snipe one with my bow and arrow and finish the other off with my sword. I continue along the way, collecting lots of bloodgrass. I spot the tower that I know will house the sigil stone and I head for it. I have enough bloodgrass for now, so it is time to close this gate. I get into the tower and fight my way to the top. I snipe a scamp from across the room in the first room of the tower. I also spot a daedra that isn't paying any attention when I get near the top, I snipe him, too. I love sniping these daedra that aren't paying attention… they're so stupid. I get to the top of the tower and I grab the sigil stone to collapse the gate…

…and now I find myself in someplace really strange… somehow stranger than Oblivion. The sky looks like a swirling black hole or maybe a galaxy spinning really fast, the ground is barren and dead. How did I end up here? This isn't normal for Cyrodiil… maybe I ended up on the Shivering Isles? It doesn't even look right for that, though the sky looks about right… I start wandering across the barren landscape to see if I can find out where I am. I turn to look back and the collapsed gate is still immediately behind me even though I have been walking for several minutes. How can that be? And how am I supposed to get anywhere if I can walk forever and not move at all?

      AFC Championship Football Game
I am in my own house, and I am watching television. I am in my entertainment room where I have my television and game systems. There is a football game on, it is the AFC championship game between the Baltimore Ravens and the New England Patriots. The Ravens are ahead at the moment, with a score of 14 to 0. I hear my mom and my brother in the other room, also watching the game. I am in my room because I know John, my brother, is rooting for the other team. I don't really care, but I'd rather cheer for the Ravens in peace. I look back at the game and I see the score has changed… ridiculously changed… it is now 76 to 14 in favor of the Ravens. Wtf? The score couldn't have changed that much that fast… I wonder if John and my mother noticed that. I head to the other room and see the score is now 117 to 24 in favor of the Ravens. John is throwing stuff at the television. I say the scoreboards at the game must be broken… there's no way that could be the real score…

      Waves of Oblivion
I am in a small town that looks like something out of an RPG such as Oblivion. Everything is in a bit of chaos, people are running for cover and hiding in the various buildings. Everyone is in a blind panic. I head towards the front gates to see what is going on. There are guards at the front, they tell me to get inside with the other civilians. I ask what is going on, the guard says there are demons pouring from the gate, now get to shelter. I decide I can help, so I head out of the gate, ignoring the guard yelling after me. The captain of the guards also tells me to go to shelter, I tell him I'm going to help. He laughs in my face and says the day a woman can hold her own in a fight is the day he retires. I ignore him and head towards the main force of demons.

The gate they're pouring from is an Oblivion gate. There are so many of them. I charge right into the group, forming sword and armor from Witchblade. I cut through a couple, jump over more, and finally I get to the gate. I go through the gate and see there are more demons pouring on that side of the gate. There seem to be an infinite number of them. I see the main tower in the area, that must be where the sigil stone is. I head straight for it, taking flight to get there quicker. Forget going through the tower… I fly straight to the top and down through an opening in the ceiling. There's the sigil stone… I grab the stone, thus collapsing the Oblivion gate.

I am now standing in the ruins of the Oblivion gate. There are still some demons present on this side, but the army defending the town are quickly dealing with the remaining demons. Some of the demons disappear through small portals when they see there are no more reinforcements coming for them. I see the captain of the guards not far away, and I go over to him. He says I am lucky that gate closed or I would be dead. A soldier tells him that I am actually the one who went into the gate and closed it. I ask the captain if he will be retiring now… he just looks stunned.
    6. 01/08/12: From School to Oblivion

      From School to Oblivion
I am in school at Pima Community College, this is my first day back to class. I look around at the other students and find a sear where I wait for the instructor. The teacher comes in pretty soon, and I see he has a cart full of goodies with him! Lots of sweets. Cupcakes, cookies, donuts… there goes my diet! I decide to eat a limited amount of the treats. I pick a chocolate cupcake and start eating it. It is delicious. There doesn't seem to be an actual class, and I wonder if tuition is all going to pay for sweets… weird… I decide I had better leave before I pig out. I go to the door and open it, there is someone else about to come in. A large tentacle or vine or something erupts through his chest as he is standing there. He has the most puzzled look on his face… wtf?! I go around the dying man and see there is an Oblivion gate in the parking lot. There are scamps wandering around the gate and a huge vine like thing coming out of the gate, that is what killed the man. I find I have a sword… it formed from Witchblade. I cut the vine thing off and jump through the Oblivion gate, moving seamlessly from a non-lucid dream to believing I am in a virtual reality video game.

I am in Oblivion now, and I look around to see what needs to be done. There is a massive gate closed between me and the main tower. I guess they expect me to walk around the long way to get there. I have the idea I don't have that much time. I go over to the gate and look at it closely. There are various places on the gate that make it look like I should be able to climb it. I wonder if this version of the game will allow that… so I start climbing. I get to the top with surprisingly little effort. I look down on the other side of the gate. My body feels lighter than normal… instead of taking this as a trigger to do a RC I decide it is because of the game. I fly down on the other side of the gate, immediately engaging two daedra in battle and killing them. I go into the main tower and look around, killing three scamps and a daedra I find there. There is a beam of fire shooting up the center of the tower. I don't have time to go the long way… I fly up the beam to the top. I am being fired at by scamps on the path around the outer edge of the tower. They can't hit the target. I get to the top and look at the sigil stone only briefly before grabbing hold of it… and waking up.

    7. 01/04/12: Jaws of Oblivion

by , 01-05-2012 at 01:19 AM (New Dream Adventures of Raven Knight)
      01/04/12

Note: Three days running… and this time I have more than one dream to post… yay! Of course part of the reason there are multiple dreams is because I have a cold right now, and that caused me to wake up more than I normally do.

      Woman's Best Friend
I am in my own house, and I know there is something I want to do before I do anything else in dreams tonight. My dog, Thor, has been diagnosed with a melanoma in his mouth, which my mom says she thinks is getting bigger. He has an appointment with the vet tomorrow, so I want to take the chance to do a little healing on him. I leave my bedroom and find the dog in my mother's room, he is lying on the bed sleeping. I take his head in my hands, one hand on each side, looking into his big brown eyes. I sing the song "Voices" from the Macross Plus soundtrack while focusing healing energy into Thor.

      Fly Me to the Moon
I am on the moon, on the green moon, everything looks more like it would on Earth. The moon has been terraformed. I see the Earth shining brightly in the sky, it is beautiful. Nomad is there with me, I go over to him, is it really him? It seems like it has been forever since I've had a confirmed shared dream... I go over to Nomad and say hello to him, I happen to think of him saying he has been having problems with carpel tunnel syndrome lately. I take both of his hands in mine and sing the song "Voices" from the Macross Plus soundtrack, focusing healing energy into Nomad. Maybe it can also help with the cold he has been fighting. I notice there is someone off to the side, they seem to be staying just out of sight. I wonder who it is. I ask Nomad if he was aware he is being followed. He looks over and says that is nothing new, he is always being followed. Now how about that Oblivion gate? Ok, let's go. I focus on opening a portal, using Avalon to find an Oblivion gate that needs closing. A portal opens and Nomad and I go through. I briefly see the landscape of Tamriel before I wake up.

      Templars in Oblivion
I am in Tamriel, in the world of the game of Oblivion. Nomad is there with me, and I see movement off to the side. I wonder if there are bandits or enemies out there, but I don't really have time to check it out before I notice there is an Oblivion gate not far off. Nomad and I head in that direction, taking a brief flight to get to the gate. Nomad lands slightly before I do and kills two Clannfears before I even land. We go through the gate into Oblivion…

The Oblivion plane looks like I expect it to look, there are a couple of scamps there attacking us, we eliminate those quickly. I remove the head of a scamp with a sword that forms from Witchblade. I am starting to get into the Oblivion theme, and I remove a piece of skin from the dead scamp, that will be useful in potions later. Nomad and I are exploring the world of Oblivion, though I am taking quite a bit of time heading to each cluster of bloodgrass and harvesting some to make potions from. Nomad seems amused by my gathering of the bloodgrass. A couple more scamps attack us, and then a daedra appears with a sword. I hit the daedra with a bolt of lightning, Nomad removes its head. There is movement behind us. I turn to look and there are Templars here! Where did they come from? I tell them they are in the wrong game, get out of Oblivion and into Assassin's Creed. One of them, there are three of them, says there isn't anywhere we can go that they can't follow. A daedra emerges from behind the Templars and draws its sword. I tell them to look behind them, they're being attacked. One of the Templars says they're not dumb enough to fall for that. That Templar finds the sword of the daedra running through his middle. The daedra kills the three Templars and then attacks Nomad and me, I attack the daedra with my sword and run it through. I see Nomad is fighting something else, but I wake up at this point.

Close Shut the Jaws of Oblivion
I am on the planes of Oblivion with Nomad, there are quite a few dead scamps around us as well as a couple of dead daedra. He says it's good of me to come back. I say my cold woke me up. We enter into the tallest tower I can see and I see the familiar base of the tower of Oblivion. We enter the area called the "Blood Feast." It is the base of the tower, there is a beam of fire shooting up the tower to where the sigil stone sits at the top. I start playing through as I normally do, I kill two scamps and a daedra at the bottom of the tower. Nomad is looking up the beam and he says this should be easy… then he starts flying up the beam. I look after him and say of course it's easy if you use cheat codes… He looks a bit puzzled. I comment he must have used a cheat code in order to fly. But if he wants to cheat… I fly up with Nomad. Even though he is flying directly to the sigil stone, he is not doing it to avoid fights. He stops off on a couple of the paths along the way just so he can fight a daedra or a scamp that is shooting at us. We reach the top of the tower quickly, I go over and kill a couple of daedra that are waiting there for us to come from the opposite direction.

Nomad is looking at the sigil stone floating in the air, floating right in the middle of the beam of fire. I say all we have to do is take it to shut down this Oblivion gate. I reach out and take the stone from its place, which causes a big explosion and then we are standing back in Tamriel beside a ruined gate. The sigil stone is vibrating in my hand with energy. I ask if Nomad wants to keep the stone, then I hand it to him. I can get many more. He is looking at the stone when I wake up.
    8. 12/17/11 Oblivion: The Escape

by , 12-18-2011 at 01:14 AM (New Dream Adventures of Raven Knight)
      12/17/11

      Oblivion: The Escape
I am in prison. I look around to see where I am. I have no memory of how I got to be there or where I actually am. I finally decide I am in a video game, I am playing Oblivion. Awesome! And it's so realistic. The asshole across the hall starts calling me a harlot or something, and I tell him to shut the fuck up unless he can come over here and say it to my face. He keeps talking, saying I wouldn't be talking like that if there weren't bars between us. I ignore him until I hear him say the guards are coming for me, then I look out again and see the emperor and the blades coming into the dungeon. I get back from the door and wait for them to enter. The emperor comes over to me and says he knows me from a dream. Ooo… sounds kinky… he just gives me a strange look. Then he says today is the day the stars foretold. At the urging of the blades, they leave through a secret passage in my cell. I go back to the cell door and tell the asshole across the hall that I'll be going now, maybe we can meet up for a drink… oh, wait! You didn't get a secret passage opening in your cell, well it sucks to be you!

I follow the secret passage and I reach the next chamber just a couple seconds too late. The emperor and the blades have just disappeared through a door, which is now locked. Apparently they locked it behind them. One of the blades is dead in the room, along with a few cloaked figures. I find a sword there which I take. As I had expected, two very large rats attack me from a collapsed wall, we're talking rats the size of an English Mastiff or a Great Dane. I kill the rats with the sword and then head into the caves beyond the collapsed wall. I find some treasure chests and a skeleton with old leather armor. I take the armor as well as a few lockpicks and some gold I find in the chests. I also find a bow and arrows. I snipe a giant rat in the next room with an arrow before it is even aware of my presence. I continue along the passages, there are more treasure chests, some of which are locked so I pick the locks… I find a zombie eating the flesh off of a dead rat. Apparently deciding I look tastier, the zombie comes at me. I throw fireballs at the zombie and it is incinerated. No body left behind? Where is the mort flesh? Oh, well. A couple chambers later I meet my first goblin who I also take out with an arrow.

After a bit more wandering in the caves I find another collapsed wall that leads back to the castle dungeons. I find the emperor and the blades there, resting up a bit after a fight. The two remaining blades want to kill me, saying I might be working with the enemy. The emperor orders them to stand down. I chat with the emperor for a bit, he seems very certain that he is not going to get out of here alive. I stay with them for now, following them through a few more chambers in the dungeons. I snipe a couple of attackers from the shadows where they lie in wait. We soon come to the last chamber where I know the emperor will get killed, he knows it, too. He gives me the amulet of kings just before he is attacked.

I find I can move this time, though! It's not a cut scene, I can attack the asshole! I attack the asshole attacking the emperor and fight him sword to sword. After a short fight I win. I turn back to the emperor and I see a second attacker standing over the emperor's dead body. Damn… I have never seen a second one! Baurus comes in and says he has failed, then asks about the amulet of kings. I tell him what the emperor said about Jauffre and the one remaining heir. He says to take the amulet and go, so I head into the sewers. I snipe a couple more trolls and rats. I soon find my way out of the sewers and into the wilderness outside of Imperial City. I head straight into the city where I am able to sell a lot of the crap I collected for gold and then get a room for the night. I figure it is a good time to save the game, so I do so and lie down on the bed and fall asleep.
    9. 12/03/11: Pop Quiz, Oblivion

by , 12-03-2011 at 10:46 PM (New Dream Adventures of Raven Knight)
      Pop Quiz
I am in my car and driving down the street that leads to my house. The street has recently been widened, but in the dream it was just a 2 lane road curving through the desert. I come to a place on the road where they are doing some road construction. It looks more like road destruction. The road is really torn up. I follow the detour for a ways and I see the entire road has been torn out, the rest of it is made up of a series of dirt tracks and detours. In the middle of all of these dirt tracks I find the place I am heading. It's a school. I go inside and sit at a desk. It turns out there is a test today that I forgot to study for. Damn… what am I going to do now? It turns out we can use resources, like books and stuff. I have my laptop. I open the computer, which is where my notes are. I am taking the test with the aid of my laptop when it starts raining… inside the classroom! The electronics in the room are all sparking and smoking. I hide my laptop under the desk where it won't get wet. But damn… this means I can't use the computer for the test… I'll flunk for sure. I continue trying to write on wet paper.

      Bandits in the Trees
I am in a game of Oblivion, exploring through a forest with thick foliage. I am in sneak mode, making sure no one can see me. I know no one can see me, it's as if I can see the eye icon in my mind… and I see that it is faint, indicating that I am not being seen by anyone. I sneak through the foliage until I spot a couple of bandits in a clearing beside a tent. They are sorting through a couple bags of what I know are stolen goods. I take aim with my bow and an arrow, and I get sneak attack bonus damage on the first of the bandits. Of course now they both attack me. One of them attacks with a bow and arrow, the other comes at me with a sword. I use my shield to block an arrow coming my way and attack the bandit coming at me with a sword. After a short fight I win at which point I throw a few fireballs at the archer, who is still attacking me. Soon he is toast. I collect the loot off of the fallen bandits and search the camp for more loot. I find some gold and other assorted loot. I then continue sneaking through the trees until I find a ladder going up a large tree very close by. I start climbing the ladder into the upper branches of the tree. Someone is calling to me from down below. I look down, and there is a man down there calling to me that I am crazy to be climbing this tree. He says I am a sitting duck up there if one of the bandits spots me. I ignore the warning and continue. I swing along horizontal ladder rungs that are running under one of the horizontal branches, then climb more when that branch turns up. I enter a tree house at the top of that branch, and it is quite a tree house. I start searching through the place, and taking whatever I decide is useful or of value. It is the bandit's hideout, after all, it's ok to be stealing from bandits.

    11. Into Oblivion

by , 11-24-2011 at 02:05 AM (New Dream Adventures of Raven Knight)
      11/22/11

I am inside the game of Oblivion. I am walking through a forest, just randomly exploring to see what I can find to do. Maybe I'll stumble across a quest or something, or a place I haven't been before. I think I should have armor and weapons… why don't I? Well, I'll just have to find it around. Use magic until I get a sword. I throw a fireball just to be sure that ability is working, and it is working fine. So I continue exploring and finally I come across a cave partially hidden in the tall grass. Perfect, I'll explore in there. I go into the cave and pause while my eyes adapt to the darkness. The first thing I find is a skeleton on the ground. I wonder how long that guy's been here. I take the armor and sword and shield off the skeleton. It is leather armor and shield, a long sword that looks pretty standard. I pause, thinking I don't remember things being quite this realistic when I take armor and put it on in Oblivion, but I finally brush that off and put the armor on.

I take the sword and proceed farther into the cave. A bandit announces his presence by asking who the fuck I am, then he attacks. I block with my shield and return the attack. The fight is a short one, ending with my blade through his chest. His last words are to make sure I know he thinks I am a fucking bitch. I see light ahead in the cave and approach it. When I look into the chamber beyond I see there are two more bandits in the cave… a man and a woman… and there is a man in an area of the cave closed in with bars like a prison. The man is over at the bars yelling at the prisoner, it sounds like he wants to get some kind of information from the prisoner. The prisoner is refusing to talk. The bandit is eating a large turkey leg, and he takes a large bite. He waves the meat in the prisoner's face. He said if the prisoner doesn't talk, he doesn't eat. Watching the prisoner starve to death could be amusing… but just tell them what they want to know and he can have a share of their food and be on his way. The prisoner says he doesn't believe that, as soon as he talks they'll kill him, so he's not saying. The bandit calls the prisoner a stubborn piece of shit and turns away… and right towards me.

This bandit sounds just like the other one… greeting me with a "Who the fuck are you?" The woman, who has been watching the prisoner up until now, turns around and also sees me. She says if I came to rescue the old man I had made my first big mistake… which was thinking he was worth saving. And my next big mistake was coming here alone. And my third and final big mistake would be not running away right now. The man is muttering something about an incompetent partner… the woman attacks me with magic. She throws fireballs at me, I send them back at her with Whiplash. I tell her she'll have to do better than that. She summons lightning, I take control of it with Battery and focus the power into my sword. I now have an electric sword. The other bandit finally stopped muttering expletives and he attacks me. His sword clashes with mine, metal to metal… and the electricity flows into him, electrocuting him. Cool effect! The woman continues attacking me, throwing more fire. I use the song spell Battery on her and hit her with a bolt of lightning directly, she is burned by the heat and dies. Now to collect loot. I take all of the loot off the fallen bandits… armor, weapons, other assorted loot to include an amulet from the woman and a couple health potions from the man. I find a chest and open it to find some jewels in it. I take all the loot and put it in some unseen inventory… in an interdimensional pocket? Hammer space? Up my ass? The prisoner is calling me, asking me to please let him out. Cool it, I'm getting to that. I unlock the cell door with a key I found on the male bandit and open it. He says just because I rescued him doesn't mean he can tell me anything, but if I come back with him, the elder may share the secret with me. The secret is not his to share. This sounds interesting, so I say I'll come, but then I wake up.

    12. Oblivion Dream: Duo

by , 09-23-2011 at 01:57 PM (The first foothold of Arch.)
Short fragment this time, branching off from the previous fight.

I'm back on the battlefield, sitting on the ground, there are loads of boots on the floor and I am looking for a pair better than mine, again the HUD pops up and I can see each boots stats. There is some epic boots but the armour value isn't very high (1500 for some reason), so I find some more scruffy ones with an armour value of 8000.

Panoramic view, there is two warriors standing near a dock, the women is wearing what seems to be similar to Oblivion guard armour, equiped with a bow. The guy is clad in thick rusty plate (may have been thick leather) and is the tank of the two.
I am watching from above as they take out two guards and begin to walk up to the port, the women sending an arrow straight into the guards neck, while the guy sweeps his sword into the side.

I zoom out of the dream and it seems to be as if I was watching from youtube.
      Fade.

      Saving Aviendha (6/6/11)

Matt Cauthon and I were on a mission to save Aviendha, who'd been taking captive by some random people (some of which wore armor akin to the Imperial Guard's armor in Oblivion). The initial setting was sparse fields with wood buildings; almost like western-movie houses.

Who ever was holding her really, really hated the Aiel, and that was their primary reason for holding her captive. We initially were arguing with them, trying to convince them that the Aiel weren't all that bad and that they should release Aviendha.

When that failed, Matt and I went sneaking around and found her bound in a wooden building about the size of a shed. We released her and ran for the raft. We maneuvered down small swampy, winding channels, knowing we had to escape to the main river. For added fun, we were being chased the entire way.

Time lapsed and we were ashore. It was night time, and we were bedding down by some ragged sheds that belonged to a poor fisherman or something. While sleeping, a Imperial Guard guy came and inquired about us. We managed to talk our way out of it and celebrated once he was gone. Fun dream.
    14. 05/21/11 Sleep (5) 11:00PM - 8:00AM

My first dream took place in a restaurant where I was sitting at a table with my girlfriend, my dad, and his ex-wife, Jen. Apparently they were going to give their marriage another shot (after one date?) after 5 years of divorce. We basically went out to eat somewhere shitty (I don't remember how the food tasted). Jen was abnormally quiet, but this might have to do with the fact I haven't seen her in 5 years and my subconscious didn't really know what personality to give her in my dream.

The next dream I remember somehow made a switch between me playing The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion to Runescape. I'm not sure what I was doing in Oblivion, but I remember dropping some stuff because I had a full pack. Levi got bored of watching me and wanted to show me how to make a zerker on Runescape. I kept dying and he got pissed at me after a bit.

Another dream involved me getting glasses (I am going to be getting another pair soon) and not being able to see out of my left eye while they were on. I looked at them, and noticed a sticker I hadn't removed. I also realized I had never been to the eye doctor, so the glasses must be those cheap ones you buy from Kmart.

Next, I had a dream that Rosas's dad was going ballistic over something and yelling and screaming at her and her brother for something stupid. I still had my guitar, which I held relaxed on my leg as i was trying to tune it. There was some sort of locking mechanism near the bottom of the backside of the body. I should have picked up on the fact that I even had a guitar in the first place, as mine was taken away.

My fifth and final dream was a dream I have had once before, I remember. I was outside a tall building, circling it with my friend, Nick. We were looking for an empty office to throw a bomb into. We were both armed with concealed pistols, and I had a set of like 6 more in that plastic stuff you buy toys in that's so hard to get open. In one of the windows we passed, a man picked up his phone, looking at us as he did, so I chucked the bomb into the window and we began to run. By the time we turned the corner, a cop had his gun out and pointed at us. Our guns weren't drawn and I believe we surrendered our weapons. We got down on the ground, and I don't remember much else after that.

    15. Summoning and Banishment of Lusark Decidies

by , 03-02-2011 at 06:09 PM (Nocturn Core (Abridged))
I went to the doctor’s office with my mom. Our doctor was an interesting woman with a voice and a personality like a man’s… Deep down, though, she still had that motherly instinct. She had a terrible habit of smoking in the hospital, which a blond nurse kept coming into the room to ask her to stop doing in front of us. It made no difference to her. The doctor explained that she only checked teeth on the first visit, so she had us each open our mouths and show her our teeth for three seconds. Once that was done, she took off her rubber gloves and shrugged.

“That’s it. See you next time.” Before we could leave, however, a white-haired man with glasses came into the room. He smiled faintly when he made eye contact with me.

“Excuse me, but I’d like to step in as this boy’s doctor starting next week,” he said. Our manly woman doctor put her hands on her hips.

      “What? Why?”

“I think I understand why he’s here… Would that be alright?”

“Well, sure… As long as he’s fine with it, too.” Everyone looked at me.

“I don’t see why not…” I said. In truth, I just wanted to get away from this doctor’s smoke. Now that all of that was settled, we were able to leave the doctor’s office. I overheard my new doctor whispering something to the woman after we exited the room.

The dream jumped. We returned to the doctor’s office sometime later. My doctor was late, so the woman doctor took me into her room anyway. I noticed she wasn’t smoking… That was a good sign. She checked our teeth again, but she was a little more thorough this time. She paid particular attention to my teeth, and I thought that meant they weren’t doing so well, but she smiled after each of the three rounds of inspection. She only had one complaint.

“Try not to go so hard on your front teeth,” she said. “They’re in pain.”

“His teeth are in pain…?” my mom wondered in amazement. I understood what the doctor meant, but there was no way I could explain it to my mom. She lacked the experience to assimilate it. The doctor asked about my life and studies, so I explained my academic interests and lucid dreaming practice.

“I also work at an airport,” she said after I mentioned studying electrical engineering. “My job is to assess risks and input danger zones in the airport mapping system. We isolate areas with cones and what have you, then put the danger point in as a user under the protection platform with a timer for removal.” She shrugged her shoulders. “It’s a pretty complicated job sometimes, but I enjoy it.”

“That’s so good of you!” my mom complimented. “You’re keeping people safe at the airport.”

“Yeah,” I added, “and most people at the airport probably don’t think about…” My mom interrupted me, but I let her finish. Neither of us really listened to what she had to say. It’s not that we didn’t care, but it literally could not be anything important – we both understood this as a fact.

“Go ahead,” the manly woman doctor urged me after my mom was done speaking.

“Well, as I was saying, most people at the airport probably don’t think of it as dangerous. The ones who are terrified of airports are either scared of the people or the planes, and the people who don’t have that fear see airports as a fairly safe place. Without people like you, that wouldn’t be possible.” The doctor smiled. I almost expected her to give me a fist pump. The door to the room opened, and in walked my new doctor. I noticed he wore a white sword on his hip, but I didn’t say anything about it. The woman doctor started smoking again, and I covered my mouth and nose so I wouldn’t get a headache. Smoke gives me serious headaches…

“Oh? Are you smoking again?” my doctor asked. “When we met last week, you said you were going to stop that dirty habit…”

“It’s not me, it’s…” She trailed off as a red portal appeared behind my doctor. He drew his sword.

“It’s her!” A fancy, red car appeared beneath the huge portal. It drove out of the building and down the street. I saw it long enough to notice a woman with pale skin and fried, blond hair in the driver’s seat. Her eyes were as black as the night. Both doctors rushed to the front of the building, and I hesitantly followed them. My mom came along to tell me not to wander around the doctor’s office.

“We’ve got to do something…” the woman doctor said in a hoarse, choking voice.

      “Well, that’s what he’s for, isn’t it?”

The dream jumped. I was in the basement of a store in the Imperial City of Tamriel. A bunch of women with bizarre, neon hair colors lurched around the building naked like zombies. I cut through their bodies with Apheri, and they dissolved into black shadows. I felt that this was all part of Oblivion. I wondered why there were still NPCs here, thinking that I’d deleted the mod that implemented them. I supposed their zombie-like behavior was the result of null dialog and a lack of AI presets; they didn’t know how to behave, so they just wandered around aimlessly. Anyway, once I destroyed most of these, I saw a girl sitting with her legs crossed on a rounded ledge built into the corner of the room. She was wearing a shirt, frilled black skirt. Her hands rested at her sides until I approached. Then she looked up at me and screeched. It was the woman who came through the portal at the doctor’s office! I saw her name for a brief moment – Lusark Decidies or something like that. Her black eyes seemed to suck me in, but then she transformed into a bloody heart. Her membranes attached themselves to the floor and the ceiling, suspending this pulsating lump of organic material in the air. I slashed across it, and she howled again as her blood shot out into the room. She transformed into a web of needles next. The area around her became a fireplace. There was some kind of weird, razor-sharp curtain attached to the mantle. When I rotated a wheel on the base of the mantle, this curtain was moved in line with the woman’s needle web. The whole time, electricity was shooting out of the walls at her for some unexplained reason. I heard voices talking in the back of my head.

“That final boss was boring,” one guy said.

“No way! The lightning was really cool.” I continued cranking the curtain wheel. The woman groaned at the pain. She shot needles at me, but I didn’t care. I was pretty sure I could survive if I just killed her quickly.

“You know, a lot of people compare her to Lady Gaga, but I don’t see the similarity.”

“What? She’s Lady Gaga’s oversoul. Didn’t you know?”

“I don’t think so…” I kept cranking the wheel, and the curtain got stuck on the corner for a bit. When I got it through, it started going toward the wall. If I could get it all the way to the wall, I would rip out all of her energy – I just knew this instinctively.

“She doesn’t try to stop you from finishing?” I asked the voices. The curtain was almost to the end.

“Sure she does.” A hand reached out of the web of needles, grabbing the curtain and crushing it. She was much more powerful than me; even turning the wheel at full force, I couldn’t keep her from jerking the curtain back. I put some more effort into it, but it was no use. I was losing. I heard the door of my room open and felt my physical body roll over. What would my roommate think if he saw me turning an invisible wheel in bed? I woke up.
