    1. Log 957 - Sky Highway Zone and Other Assorted Stories

      Created Tuesday 12 December 2017

Got several things to note, including a few LDs. If my memory were up to par, I would have had a lot of other things as well.

      Dream 1 - Behind the Wheel - A Street Racer's Autobiography

The visuals were a bit dim. I watching a Youtube video on the humorous self-documentary of an Asian immigrant street racer. This was mostly monologue to the footage of his driving around in various highways. There was talk of his fascination of the sport, his struggles in getting recognition from (less-than-reputable) US sponsors, and his immigration to one of the southern states. He then comments, "And that's when I stumbled upon another problem: most of the roads here are shit." Then appeared clips of his local highway, the road long worn. In fact, there were long spans in the road to which he easily could scoop up loosened tarmac like sand.

Not much else occurred before the dream ended.

      Scrap Group 1
Something about The Evil Within 2. That secret agent lady (only watched a few videos, so the names haven't stuck) is in a talk show, where she reveals the reason for her defecton from the evil organization. Apparrently, her mother got cancer at some point, after which the two developed a much closer bond. This made the agent realize how far gone her morals have deteriorated during her tenure.

Dream 2 - Sky Highway Zone

Scene 1 - I'll Celebrate Some Other Time
The visuals were a bit blurred. I was a guest in an unknown home, participating in festivities.

Later, I begin feeling exhausted, enough so that I barged into the nearest bedroom for rest. But, numerous interruptions kept me from sleeping. This starts with my brother in law speaking about certain issues with his supposed father. An impossible occurrence, I knew, but besides getting suspicious, I didn't do anything.

The last of these disruptions involved my cousin Wyatt (who appeared in his teens) along with one of his friends supposed friends, a kid I've never seen before. The two quickly make nuisances of themselves, conversing loudly while sitting on the mattress to watch a nearby TV. It was only when one of them almost kicked me off the bed that they'd acknowledged my presence. I resigned to dropping in the floor, certainly the more comfortable place to sleep at the time.

Per chance, I began a WILD attempt, beginning with meditation, as usual. Cue rapid transition.

Scene 2 - Tired Drive Awareness
The visuals were very dim. I was driving an SUV around a forest highway during the dead of night. Several family members were in the back seats. I looked up at the stars, noticing how quickly they revolved. Was I going too fast? I then identified how fatigued I was, far too much to drive safely. That's when I remembered the previous occurrences, and realized the dream. Suddenly, the surroundings changed, appearing as a hypnotic, striped array in tunnel view. Things began fading. So, I felt out the vehicle's ceiling. Then, to the tune of Sky Sanctuary Zone from Sonic and Knuckles, I forced a warp.

      Scene 3 - Mode Change!
The visuals were brighter. I was still driving a vehicle, only now, the road before me was spiraling sideways within the clouds of a blue sky. Despite the path set, the vehicle itself kept a forward trajectory, gliding off-road when necessary. Still lucid, thanks to the above song anchoring such.

I thought of tasks to do, and recalled the powered armor TOTM. Before starting, I phased off the moving vehicle. From there, I uttered "Change Mode!" in a thick Japanese accent. Concurrently, I willed a third-person view to see myself get armored, though I only appeared as mostly a blur. I did at least witness my skin taking on a white, ceramic plated form. Furthermore, Egg Reverie from Sonic Mania replaced the previous song.

Back to first-person, from which I immediately took flight. I moved around my limbs, noticing a natural, unrestricted motion of such. I soon identified cold air subtly blowing all over me from within the armor, and the unusual illusion of spaciousness that brought, if only compared to how tightly the suit clung onto me.

It seemed the view from my right eye was dulled. But, I realized this was because of a scanning interface, so noted by markers being placed over various vehicles passing below me. This made me curious on weaponry. I tried finding a good target, but everything I found was moving too fast, not to mention unjustifiable to engage. After a minute of waiting, I decided to just blast the air. A green laser immediately shot from my right palm, puncturing holes through the clouds. It streamed for a quite a while, though I dared not aim at anything substantial.

Things quickly destabilized afterwards, and the dream collapsed.

      Scrap Group 1
Many, many dreamlets, a few of which had transitioned to dreams, though all but the one below are forgotten.

      Dream 3 - Burning Phoenix

The visuals were blurred. I was scrounging around in the kitchen. Noticed my brothers and nephew watching the TV intently. On screen was an episode of Steven Universe. There was an ongoing high-speed chase, during which several characters were bouncing around in the back of a van (Greg's van, probably).

I then gained awareness. To rid distraction from the program, I hovered up in a wreath of flames, then blazed through and away from the living room (like so; I even yelled out the move's name)There was some noticeable delay at first, which was corrected about halfway through the maneuver.

I got distracted by random thoughts after that, and can't recall anything else.

    2. Log 950 - Potion of Elemental Wrath and Other Assorted Stories

      Created Tuesday 05 December 2017

      Spoiler for posterity's sake:

I've two WILD cycles to note, most of which I retained awareness. There was a dream fragment in-between. I probably would have had more from before these, though a certain interruption kinda spoiled my recollection of such. Just as well, I suppose.

Dream 1 - Potion of Elemental Wrath

      Scene 1 - A Blood Offering?
WILD transition in bed. As usual, I blindly tried rolling off the mattress and into another scene, only to continually warp back to where I started. I'd sporadically either sightlessly land on the floor, or fell into the void. Either way, I further reinforced the dream state to myself by continually moving in place, be that by spinning, walking, or even dancing (poorly). And yet, nothing came to view, and any attempts to open my eyes resulted in swift destabilization. Various background noises almost kept me preoccupied, including cries of a fictional baby of which I needed to care, and of complaints to my percieved negligence, though I managed to ignore such.

Eventually, I began calling out to my guide. And soon enough, parts of a scenery formed. This starts with a nude portrait of E ahead of me. As I observed it, various game-like menus and stats formed below, though I couldn't make sense of such. Pacing ahead, I soon found a large medival tapestry hanging on an invisible wall. At its center was a curious image: myself kneeling to a giant demon woman. In my hand was a golden chalice filled with red liquid, which I presented as an offering. Ominous, indeed...

Things kinda destabilized momentarily. Brief false awakening, and warp.

      Scene 2 - YOU LEARNED - WRATH
The visuals were blurred. I was in my home, staring at the backyard at the dead of night. Initially in a trance, I quickly recomposed myself, and phased through the sliding door. I looked up at the stars, wondering to what I should occupy myself, though it seemed I couldn't think of anything. Just then, the ground collapsed beneath me, and I slowly fell into an endless pit.

One brief hand-rubbing later, and a new environment forms. I found myself floating over a forested seaside cliff at night time. I thought to dive in the water, though control of my movements were a bit unresponsive, even "wobbly".

Another distortion. I was now in a forest clearing, likewise at nightfall. By then, I'd recalled several TOTMs, if with a few depreciated choices. In any case, I settled for the forbidden knowledge potion task. I imagined myself holding phial, and like that, said object appeared instantly. It seemed empty at first. Upon closer inspection, I noticed chaotic visions forming inside, that of sunny hills, of floating flowers, of tossed traffic lights, and a similar burst of random, colorful sights. So, I took a swig. Didn't initially notice anything tangible. But eventually, I discerned a bitter metallic aftertaste. Following that, I began feeling a bit queasy. Things seemed otherwise disappointingly mundane.

Unrelated to the matter, a glowing portal formed next to me. I stepped inside, upon which I lost sense of my body, though my vision and hearing retained presence. Then, a video-game-esque score screen appeared, though what it counted is anyone's guess. Music was playing as well, starting with some unknown (or forgotten?) tense fanfare, then followed by Slow Moon from Streets of Rage 2 about half a minute later.

Once the score was tallied up, a segment of text flickered, reading "YOU LEARNED: WRATH". The screen faded into a white void, whereupon I began reforming. Concurrently, a red street racing car was manifesting in view. A target, I presumed. I held up my arms towards it, and whispered "wrath". Suddenly, a storm of icicles descended upon the vehicle, battering it to ruin. A few seconds later, the attack changed to stream of lightning bolts. And following that, a roaring torrent of flames. Nothing remained of the target, save for a black stain on the invisible ground.

I got interrupted, and woke up promptly.

      Scrap Group 1
Something of watching Law and Order. McCoy has an arrogant ex-lawyer turned defendant on the ropes. Despite his outrage at such, the defendant goes along with a plea.

Dream 2 - Geists and Heists

      Scene 1 - Wrath Revisited
Another WILD transition. This started with a few more minutes of rolling and repeated false awakenings before a new scene formed. I was now in a large home, dim grey light illuminating its rooms. Wherever I looked, a dusty, tarp-covered piece furniture was present. Obviously a haunted place. It thus came to little surprise when I found a gaunt, stringy haired ghost girl lurking in the far corner. "Yup," I muttered, "it's a nightmare alright".

I backed away slowly, only to catch the phantom's interest. The sight of her shambling towards me sent me running. She let out a piercing wail, then crawled after me, her form shunting in and out of existence sporadically. I was soon forced to climb a flight of stairs, though it quickly became apparent that this path had no end in sight. So, I turned to fight.

Remembering the incantation, I called out "wrath". Unexpectedly, fire began raining down first. I realized then that, rather than descending in a specific order, I controlled which element fell by thought. Whatever the case, this blaze had no effect. So, I switched to ice, though, as I somewhat feared, this too did nothing. Moved on to lightning, which finally kept the spectre in check, leaving her helplessly shrieking in pain.

Just then, a white meter formed below, and emptied quickly. In turn, the spell waned. Outta juice. I resumed my way upstairs, while desperately repeating "wrath". Instead of creating a storm, a many-elemental barrier formed around me, but only momentarily. Guessed this was how the spell looked "uncharged". This too kept the girl at bay, though not for nearly enough time between each chanting.

Soon, the stairs led to a balcony. I was cornered. Fortunately, the gauge had refreshed. Thus, I wasted no time in unleashing another lightning storm.

      Things quickly destabilized.

Scene 2 - Flickering Kitchen Awareness
Non-lucid false awakening in bed. I got up feeling strangely dizzy. Furthermore, seeing that it was still very dark was highly suspicious. I made a hand test, though that proved inconclusive. So, I peeked in the kitchen, and found that the oven and sink were both gone, each replaced by random furniture. That's confirmation enough for me. But, things began blacking out, especially whenever I moved around. Quick, unwitting warp.

Scene 3 - The KFC Heist
The visuals were a bit blurred. I was seated in a white void. No awareness again. There were several other people there, neither of whom, I recognized, save for one figure in particular: Colonel Sanders himself. We were all discussing something about a big heist, though the specifics elude me.

Suddenly, I found myself floating down towards an old-fashioned shopping district, the streets thick with tourists. Several of the previous characters had descended as well, including the Colonel. We were apparently at a theme park, a place which Sanders had part ownership. We tried sneaking by, though the fried chicken purveyor's presence was quickly noticed by the crowd. As such, he stayed behind to provide a distraction. The Colonel went on making wild proclamations of his formulating an even better recipe than the original, one he was sure would sell big. He then began shilling a local ice-cream parlor. But, the sight of a careless emo-teen gave him pause. He glared at the kid, who looked away sheepishly upon noticing the attention. "Well", yelled the Colonel, "it looks like this boy here could use some of that world-famous chocolate ice cream right about now!" An uproar of laughter followed. That was the cue for my peers and I to sneak on by.

On entering our target building, things promptly faded into a bright light. End dream.

Just got a bunch of scraps to note. Quite a shame, as I was sure I got lucid at some points.

      Scrap Group 1

WBTB initially unintended due to insomnia.

A series of forgotten dreams, part of which I'm quite sure I was lucid. There was something about a fire, or a similar disaster.

At home. One of my uncles and his wife make a surprise visit, much to my annoyance.

At a pool party. Magical events occurred.

      Wandering in a mansion?

At home watching TV with my sister and mom. I tune in on a science show about plausible alien lifeforms. On screen were CGI of disgusting phallic creatures. In fact, said alien figures were noted to be from Rick and Morty.

Unwitting dream transition. I travel around in a grey realm for a while, then warp to some temple ruins. There, I spoke with an ancient-world priest. He claimed mastery over demonurgy, and spent his life translating the words of six spirits with which he'd formed pacts. This reminds me of the Demon roguelike, and also gives me false memories of possessing such creatures of my own. I'm fairly certain I was lucid at one point.

    4. Log 861 - Thief-Seeking Missiles

      by , 09-08-2017 at 01:09 AM (Dream Logs DWN-12)
Got that DILD and a fragment to note.

      Dream 1 - Thief-Seeking Missiles

The visuals were clear. I was wandering around the streets at daytime. Eventually, I stop by at a gas station, specifically the same one I used to work in. There were some major renovations since I've been there, including the registers being in the opposite side of the store. Maurice, one of my old managers, was busy with some customers. I considered talking to him, though I backed off. It's been so long, I doubt he even recognized me anymore. Later, at an unknown site, I build up enough nerve to call there for a chat.

Time skip at night. I'm back at the gas station, this time as a worker. Three other employees were there as well. Of them, I recognized Maria. Another was an older, large African descended woman, while the last a skinny, aging, clean shaven Hispanic man. I take a look around, and find things were now arranged much more similarly to how I last remembered. There were, however, more selection of hot foods. I thought to sample some, but reconsidered when I found the pastries had long been shriveled into an overbaked husk.

I worked the register for some time without incident, besides some guy having concerns of having been overcharged out at the pumps. Then, later on, a big, loud black woman shows up to bicker with my like-skinned fellow employee. Tension builds up to the point of violence. I overheard their being "friends", though how one could tolerate such vitriol under any circumstances is beyond me. Anyway, this scene distracted me from looking around the store. Before I could react, I found that some jerk had gone on and stole something in plain sight. The bickering had finally resolved by that point.

After that, a mess of customers began piling up. In fact, this left me so preoccupied, that shoplifters came out of the woodworks to snatch something or two. I later had to deal with a drugged out woman, another of my coworker's supposed "friends". There was some confusion over the money she gave and what she actually owed. As I counted the funds, the woman ran off with whatever she had in hand, and I just knew I got the short end of things. Concurrently, some teen girl rushed in, swiped some DVDs and snacks, and ran off in one fell swoop. And if that wasn't enough, both previous madwomen returned to cause another commotion. What a night...

While that happened, I caught sight of underaged punks going straight for the alcohol coolers. And sure enough, I overheard one or two muttering about a beer run. I was, by then, infuriated enough to look for trouble myself, so I went to the front door and waited. Still, I was of mind to reflect on that unreasonable theft rate. I made a reactionary hand test, but no matter the result, I gained awareness.

Vengeance still filled my thoughts. I immediately blasted the punks with an energy blast, then followed up with an explosive beam split and directed to those two rambunctious women (of course, all with precautions to not accidentally hit anyone else). I then stepped outside the lot, hoping I'd find any other previously encountered thieves and scoundrels, though they were long gone by then. After thinking it over, I figured a homing attack would let me get even. I fired a golden ray into the sky, which I divided into a dozen or so other beams. These arced and spread out all over town, until they eventually exploded one by one at isolated, distant locations. Couldn't help but guffaw in triumph.

With that done, I tried conjuring my guide, E, imagining she'd appear standing around the sidewalk. Unfortunately, I lost focus, and collapsed the dream entirely.

      Scrap Group 1

WBTB for 15 minutes to write some notes and stretch for a bit.

False awakening. Mom comes barging in the room, demanding I get those hurricane shutters installed despite not having a ladder.

Many items to note, including a series of DILDs during early REM. Unfortunately, they're mostly just fragments at this point.

      Scrap Group 1
A series of early-REM dreams that I vaguely remembered being repeated instances of each other. I'd awareness at various points. In one such case, I discovered that a spy, some red-haired woman in an office dress, was leaking false, scandalous information on my character. I caught her in the act, and coerced her into both cancelling the operation and fleeing.

False awakening in bed. I was drenched in sweat. Woke up minutes later dry as a bone.

At home. My niece, Valentina, shows me a baby doll with an eerily lifelike face
      and movable joints.

In the backyard of an unknown home. I was cleaning things up along with mom and my younger brother, Trent. At one point, my brother, goes off to feed the cat. I turned away for seconds, only to find the animal had not only died, but was well into the process of decomposing. Didn't concern me one bit. However, seeing Trent and mom so non-chalant of their pet's demise was so.

      At an arcade at night.

Something of digging a rock tunnel into a brightly lit tower.

Vague memories of being in a video game world.

At home. I walk downstairs, only to find a large gathering of unexpected guests, each Flora's (my sister's) friends. Very embarrassing, as I was still in my underwear.

At a beach at night. Rough waves kept me from getting too far into the water.

At a hotel room with many family and extended family members. There was a small party ongoing, though I was too tired to participate. Indeed, I was so exhausted, I just slept on floor of the nearest open space. My uncle Sylvester didn't appreciate that, and so he tells Valentina to wake me up. My niece kisses me on the forehead, to which I instantly woke up IRL.

Numerous dreams identified, including three DILDs, though I can't recall much of the non-LDs.

      Scrap Group 1
Walking around my neighborhood. I start thinking of dream signs. This includes being back in highschool and doing poorly in a science class.

      Dream 1 - TOTM Advanced Task I - Take 1

False awakening in the master bedroom. After lingering thoughts on previous dreams, I realized the dream state. Made a breath test to confirm as much, which was inconclusive. So, I fell off, and slowly floated down to the floor. That'll do it.

Then, I began "powering up", yelling as I did. There was no clear sign this was working. In fact, I felt I was getting weaker the longer I tried, so I stopped.

Remembered the spinning TOTM. I hovered, and tried spinning in place, but this was likewise exhausting. Within seconds, I was out of breath, and lost grasp of the dream.

      Scrap Group 2
More false awakenings in the same location.

      Dream 2 - TOTM Advanced Task I - Take 2

False awakening in my bedroom. I stand near the mirror, and try taking my sleeping mask off, only to have it magically slide back on. Clearly, I was dreaming. Still couldn't remove the mask though, so I ignored it.

Before continuing, I rubbed my hands for 10 seconds. Then, I tried that TOTM again. As before, I strained myself trying to spin in place. Thus, I ignored physical movement in favor of willing myself to do as much, yielding much better results.

Cut. I'm flying in a night sky. Dire storm clouds were immediately below me, spinning steadily into a fledgeling tornado. This all felt sorta damp and stuffy. I fall intentionally. Just then, the clouds formed into a creepy robot face. Kinda startling, but I dove in anyway.

Another warp. Projected holographically ahead of me was an unlit plane, the floors formed of dim gridlines. Suddenly, demonic shadows appear. Only their glowing yellow eyes were clearly visible. I had control of a small robot, and commanded it to off to a corner. Tried brightening the place up for a better look, but didn't manage that. Tried brightening the place up for a better look, but didn't manage that.

By then, I noticed my left eye was fast shut. In my attempts to wrench it open, I feel myself in bed, and awaken soon afterwards.

      Scrap Group 3

False awakening. Walk down to the living room, where dad and Carl lingered around. Then, they announce finding a bat and hawk in the backyard. That sounded exceedingly unlikely. I realized the dream state, but wake up soon afterwards.

False awakening in bed. An unknown person slid their hand over my face, hampering my breathing. I realized the state, and tried imagining who would be responsible. The dream simply collapses soon afterwards.

One WILD and a DIELD/false awakening chain to note. Past that, and a non-lucid false awakening in between, I don't recall any other dreams, but who's complaining?

Dream 1 - Start Your Dreams With Minecraft... Or Not

A familiar dizzying sensation marked a successful WILD.

Made a quick call to my dream guide, E, but after half a minute, she wouldn't answer. Had to keep things moving without her.

I decided to transition via phasing. So, I floated up, then landed face-first on the white-covered mattress. There was resistance, but eventually, I went through.

Found myself floating in a blue-tinted wormhole. Oh, haven't seen this in a while. I muttered "deeper" to keep stable. After an exhilarating minute or so, I'm dropped off into a clear blue dawn sky. A look down revealed a hilled forest with the blocky textures of Minecraft. Eh, been there, done that. I flew around to wait out this environment. The visuals got crisper and brighter by the second.

      Then, the dream just collapsed.

      Scrap Group 1
False awakening in the master bedroom. My young niece, Iris, and my brother, Marcel, are nearby. The baby, as babies would do, dropped her sippy cup of milk on the pile of covers on the floor, making a damp mess.

Dream 2 - Silly Little DIELD and False Awakening Cycle

      Scene 1 - Chasing Wildlife
That dizzying sensation again. Yup, dreaming.

As before, I phased through the matress, noticing that I actually shrunk down to microscopic size as I did, and went back into the portal. While there, I called E, who again didn't answer. I asked for her to leave an obvious sign of her presence somewhere if she'll turn up later.

I landed within a coniferous forest. I was skeptical, but a closer look showed much better visuals, real life textures blended almost unrecognizeably with 3D computer graphics in between. Much better.

Floated around joyously for a while between some hedges and bushes. Eventually, I encounter various wild animals bunched up in a clearing. Some deer, a cougar, a couple of boars, and a bear or two. Got curious why they'd gather up like that, but decided it would be more fun to just chase them around. I flew at them, causing them to scurry away with a few stock growls and whimpers. So, I landed, and dashed at blurring speeds after the cougar and a few deer, going fast enough to not tell if I'd warped time or not. The visuals blurred up in between, during which I rubbed my hands to keep things stable.

Then, I stopped, and remembered the tail TOTM, but something distracted me. Ahead of me was a log cabin made of dark wood. I rubbed my hands in anticipation, not knowing what to expect. Things got brighter and more scenic. But, things just sort of fizzled away...

      Scene 2 - Egg TOTM - Take 1
False awakining in bed. I regained awareness in a moment's time, confirmed once I was able to see through my room past my dark grey covers.

As before, I flew around and tried to shrink and phase through something, the white ceiling this time. As I did, I remembered the egg TOTM. Thought it best to sound some appropriate music for the task. I chose track 6 from Dyna Brothers, which played almost instantly on its own. Anyway, an opaque, spherical white space soon wraps around me. Once I noticed, the area is filled up with tranparent, bubbly liquid. This must be it. I tried to both chop down and telekinetically smash the boundaries, but nothing seemed to happen.

      Cue an unknowing transition.

      Scene 3 - That's A Fancy New Room I've Got...
A series of non-lucid false awakenings. Each time, I'd wake up in a heavily altered version of my bedroom, complete with a hallway and its own bathroom. Some of my siblings and perhaps even my niece and nephew show up, the former speaking of some real life concerns.

Scene 4 - Getting Anchored in Bed Again
Another series of false awakenings from which I gained awareness. I repeatedly try floating and phasing into another place, only to end up back in bed. Each time, I'd try an alternate approach, such as using different walls or theme songs. One of these transitions are eventually successful.

      Scene 5 - Egg TOTM - Take 2
The visuals were slightly blurred. I was levitating over a river surround by forestry, all under a cloudy blue sky. Wasn't aware at first, until some whimsical Disney-esque music sounding in the background granted as much.

As I gazed down, I noticed a pile of round, leathery eggs in the water. Oh, right, the egg TOTM. This gave me an idea. I floated down, and found that I was only centimeters tall. Just as well. I tried individually swimming and phasing through several of them, but couldn't. The music "Mickey Moused" to tease at my unsuccessful attempts.

At a glance, I then found an even bigger, grander egg, this one uniquely covered in large, golden ridges. Oh, that's perfect! I launched myself towards there, and instantly found myself encased in a yellow-white enclosure. Things got a bit blurred, making me doubtful. Either way, I chopped the casing, which immediately cracked. Water and bright light filled the space. I "white out" for a moment.

When I come to, I'm floating down the surface of the river. Thought I screwed up for a second. When the visuals cleared up, I found a huge glop of egg whites and and a large, undisturbed yolk floating beside me. Heh, guess I got it after all.

      Another unwitting transition.

Scene 6 - Time To Wrap Things Up
False awakening in that aforementioned false room. I get up and float through the hallway, and up and over Marcel and Iris, who were in the area. As I land, I start cackling about the dreams I just had, and couldnt' wait to write them down. That's when I realized the dream wasn't quite over yet. As much as I hated to do so, I intentionally woke up to keep memory of the experience.

      Spellbee's Summer Lucid Competition 2016 - Entry 16

There's about four dreams I remembered today, one DILD very early on, and three NLD later in my sleep. Most of said NLDs are scraps at this point.

      Dream 1 - Mystic Skirmish

Only remember the end. The visuals were a bit blurred. I was wandering in a fog-laden deciduous forest. Some forgotten event sparked lucidity minutes beforehand.

At one point, I start powering up DBZ-style, surrounding myself in a golden aura. Such energy allowed me to fly through the area with ease. Soon, I encounter a floating figure glowing with a similar halo, only blue. A member of Team Mystic, no doubt. This was a lady with dark, straight hair, and dressed in a ruffled, white and blue-lined ball gown. Furthermore, her eyes were obscured, whether by bangs or some other means. At the time, I remembered exactly who she was, but such knowledge has faded from memory...

We exchange some threatening remarks (more like ribbing, actually), and then engage in battle mid-air. Amusingly, all of our attacks mirrored each other, repelling us both away on each blow. On the third strike, we clash with a (literal) flying knee. We get locked in a sort of pushing match. Eventually, we extend into a full kick, the force of which blasts us hundreds, if not thousands, of yards away in opposite directions, well past eyeshot.

So, afterwards, I fall face-first on bare dirt. As I dust myself off, I start thinking of all the points I've racked up in this dream. Seems I had the funny idea that I've got some TOTMs done, but whether that was forgotten or just a false memory is difficult to say at the moment.

I awaken immediately afterwards. I'd doubts of my experience, but a quick (unwitting) DIELD allowed me to relive, and thus, reconfirm, pretty much all of what occurred.

Unintended WBTB turns into several hours without sleep. WILD attempts unsuccessful.

      Scrap Group 1
In a park with my brother, Gregory, my niece, Annette, and my nephew, Milo. I tell Milo a (false-memory) story of my getting swept backwards up a slide, this somehow caused by a storm. Gregory is certain I'd actually gone downwards.

False awakening in an unknown bedroom within an apartment. Mom and Gregory are around. I feel terribly ill, and rush to the unlit bathroom. Nausea ensues. Mom barges in, and complains of the mess I was making, though she did admit Gregory had it way worse when he was afflicted with this illness. I yelled at her to leave. When I turn on the light, I find the area's much bigger, and there were also numerous other toilets around. A sizeable group of people enter. I'm completely exposed to them all. So embarrassing. A boy points and laughs, and his mother tells him to hush up. I wonder why there weren't at least some partitions around. This may have linked to the next dream.

Dream 2 - Mutant Lizard Meat

The visuals were a bit blurred. I was scrounging around in the ruins of a downtown area. Clearly, a post-apocalyptic scene. Two other companions were with me, one an unknown dark haired woman, and the other a familiar acquaintance, if not one of my brothers.

All of us were hungry. In fact, we were literally reduced to eating crow, which we lured with rotted meat and killed with pointed sticks. I roast and eat one of such birds, which tasted like stale, unseasoned chicken. A while later, I get a bad stomach ache, though it passes. The woman, after doing the same, wasn't as fortunate. She complains of terrible pains behind her eyes and in her tongue. I asked if she'd cooked it properly. That's when she reveals it wasn't the crow causing this. Instead, it was meat from some (mentioned, but not seen) bipedal lizard-monster we'd killed at an earlier date that infected her. Figured this was merely curiosity on her part; our group wasn't THAT desperate. The woman's eyes start bulging up to inhuman degrees, and she claimed her tongue was growing far out of proportion. She must have been mutating.

Suddenly, a distant thundering shakes the ground. A glance at remote skyscrapers revealed the silhouette of a massive reptilian creature. Right, as if things needed to get more interesting...

Not much else happened until the dream ended.

Tired enough to go for an afternoon nap, but still couldn't sleep despite my exhaustion. Rats.

      Spellbee's Summer Lucid Competition 2016 - Entry 2

There were many dreams today, including a DILD after my first WBTB. However, I've forgotten much of the others, and even of those three that I could identify, two of them are only fragments.

Before the following, I do a 45 minute WBTB, which turned into an hour and 45 minute WBTB instead.

      Dream 1 - Plane Flip

The visuals were pretty clear. I was a passenger in a small car, being taken down a long road at daytime. Grassy hills remained in view at my right. Driving the vehicle was my uncle, Felix.

We stop at a red light. My uncle cuts ahead a bit, but backs up when he "remembered" his previous traffic citation. This all seemed very familiar... Anyway, he eventually makes a long right turn into a long, curved highway ramp. Soon, a large bridge is in sight. The George Washington Bridge, I thought, heading to New York. As I look around for the cityscape, I instead find the shadow of a mountainside in the distance. Just then, I realized I lived a few thousand miles away from this area, and thus, attain lucidity.

I fly out. The dream starts fading into brown. So, I stabilize and anchor myself by muttering "deeper". In time, the environment reforms. I'm then floating over a grassy flatland with the distinctive blocky textures of Minecraft. Eh, done that. I grumble "deeper" a few more times, and willfully drop through the ground.

As it turned out, this plane was only paper thin. I'm unexpectedly "flipped" into another area, its gravity completely reversed. After readjusting myself, I see I'm hovering high over a series of grass-topped, narrow plateaus. Still had the same cheap, boxy textures as before, if a bit brighter and clearer. Let's go deeper.

Dived head first through the ground again with the intent to "flip" planes once more. Once inverted, I see I'm ducked down on a pebbly brook. This time, the visuals were realistic, though a bit dimmer. Still, this was much better overall. I played around with the water, splashing it around and letting it drift past my hands. Got a little too caught up with this; couldn't help but appreciate its lifelike, cool dampness.

Well, I snap out of this after a minute or so. I tried looking around, only to find I can't move my neck. Stay calm. Just move on. I used my "Codec Device" to call my dream guide, E, but there was no response. Then, seconds after I gave up, a small, 8-bit figure appeared in view from my left. This seemed as a lady in a black cloak. She spoke to me in white text, though the words scrolled too fast for me to accurately read everything but her name (only remember it was an adverb; "Still", I think?). I'm quite certain this sprite-lady gave a snippy explanation as to why my guide wasn't going to show. She walked off-view immediately afterwards.

Then, a bright spark bounces around in front of me. This begins shattering the environment. I maintain my grasp for half a minute before the dream collapses entirely.

      Scrap Group 1
Waking up in a hotel room on a fluffy, pink covered and white bed. Next to that was an even smaller, pinker bed designed for children. The area was a bit messy. Mom and dad were nearby.

Found several large roaches around the house, encountering them in some very unlikely spots each time (besides the laundry room). As I wake up, I feel a creeping sensation. I'm uncertain if it's real or not, and hesitate. Eventually, I blew air at it, where I then feel and hear the distinctive humming of large insect wings. Oh crap. I freeze in panic, and, once possible, instinctually try brushing it off. There's nothing there, just an illusion.

      Dream 2 - "Reality" Bites

The visuals were clear. I was sitting in my home's dining room at daytime. Levon was nearby.

As I was eating a meal from a bowl (porridge, I think), my lower left-most flat tooth snaps right off. I spit it out, and taste a distinctive mixture of blood and wheat. After staring at it haplessly for a few seconds, I rush to the bathroom. A look in the mirror did indeed confirm what I feared. I couldn't believe any of this, prompting a breathing test, yet this "proved" the "reality" of the situation.

Still, I refused to accept any of this. As denial, I began running out the door to fly. Mom concurrently opened the door from the outside. Anyway, I leaped in the air and... faceplant. Hard. How embarrassing. The others muttered in confusion. Seeing as I couldn't humiliate myself any more, I just practiced some handstands, much to the further confoundment of everyone else.

      I wake up soon afterwards.

I managed to get a DILD, and a vivid one at that. Aside from that, there were a number of dreams I could recall today, more than in recent times. Probably a side effect of my new WILD anchors. Anyway, I know I remembered scraps of a dream after the first awakening, but forgot that by now. Before the first dream below, I could somewhat remember being in a desolate urban shopping district, where I played 16-bit era video games. There was some interaction with a bizarre, monstrous woman, one with arthropodal features, whom I nonetheless treated as a friend. After a few other dreams, there was also something about Futurama, where Fry turned into some giant, hideous slime creature, and beckoned for Leela to let him eat her, the latter of whom became conflicted on the matter for some reason. Finally, there were also fragments related to being in an urban environment or cityscape, all of which influenced similar dreams listed below.

Spoiler for Spoilered to save space:

Dream 1 - Awkward Awakening Utterances

I was awakened by someone shaking me. In response, I implore them to stop, letting slip some things in mind.

"I want... death...", I mutter "...no... dreams... more dreams..."

When coming to, I realized I was in the downstairs bedroom, sleeping on Maxwell's bed for some reason, light from out the door allowing me to see just enough. Anyway, turns out my brother, Maxwell, was the one who awakened me. He was astounded, but mostly annoyed, demanding that I get out. As he yanked me off, I blurted a bit about my previous dream experience, the aforementioned city and monster woman one hinted above. Maxwell wasn't concerned, responding only to my previous utterances, noting on me being weird.

I stumbled out of the room, passed the living room and headed to the kitchen, the only place that had lights on. I rummaged through the cupboards for a snack. There were lots of things within these, the top cupboard specifically containing a plastic bag of reddened, oxidized cacao powder, while I accidentally spilled an opened plastic bag of brown sugar while sifting through the spice cabinet.

Brian then shows up, to whom I point the humor in having all that food, while some apparent guests we were meant to share it with never showed up.

I woke up soon afterwards, or at least, that's what I assumed, as I'm sure this was a false awakening. Don't recall what else occurred, but it wasn't much.

Dream 2 - Not This Time, Vermin!

Not sure where I was or what I was doing. All I knew was that something was crawling on my cheek, specifically, a medium sized cockroach, the foul thing heading directly for my mouth. I struggled to blow it away from me, straining my inhalations to keep it from getting sucked in. I soon realized my breathing felt different, being far more difficult even given the circumstances. This got me to recall similar nightmares, and so I realized my state.

Well, the tickling sensation continued, but remained in place, where I determined this was just my hair. Just an illusion after all. Figured I was still in bed. I dropped to sleep without thinking this further.

Dream 3 - Tell That To Someone Who Cares

The visuals were slightly blurred. I was at home in the living room, excessive lights on at the time indicating it was night time. A large gathering of people there, mostly extended family members.

Soon, I distinguished my uncle, Slaven, dressed in a grey suit. He was especially clingy, finding pretense to hug me or pat my back. How annoying.

I slunk away at the first opportunity, heading to the downstairs bedroom. Maxwell was inside, using his computer. Another figure entered soon enough, my Aunt Stacy, who was dressed in a black colored blouse and tights. In her hand was a children's book, from which started reading parts to us for some reason. This contained flagrant amounts of religious moral lessons. Couldn't stomach more than half of it, where I had to interrupt her. I argued how ridiculous it was for her to read such a thing to me, saying she'd be better off inciting this to children like my niece and nephew. She was taken aback, and walks off without a word. I felt a bit guilty, but I knew it was for the best.

A bit afterwards, I walked to the bathroom, where I find another uncle, Sefu, meandering there. His presence frightened me for some reason. Indeed, I was sure I saw him with a horrific, distorted face for a moment, only to laugh this off as my mind playing tricks. "As a dream", I thought to myself. He seemed normal from there. He then looked away, where I anticipated he'd probably turn around with that demon face again, though he looked intact upon looking back.

Not sure what else happened until the dream ended soon afterwards.

Dream 4 - Not Dressed For Winter

The visuals were bright but slightly blurred. I was walking outside an urban environment under a greyish-white sky, going to a lot between various tall, brown bricked buildings. Various family members accompanied me, of whom I discerned my sister, Isaura, and her children, Rheia and Sans.

As we went along, I noticed the ground was pure white. I soon realized the area was dusted with soft snow, which grew thicker as we moved along. Sans and Rheia were filled with wonder at the sight, just as well, as they've never seen snow first-hand in their life. Too bad none of us were prepared for this, all improperly dressed for the occasion, though I only remember of my own attire of a red T-Shirt, jeans, and tennis shoes.

The kids began tossing and shovelling up sprays of snow, though I told them it's best if we changed first. Indeed, the freezing weather became very apparent at that moment, and so I bade the two to hurry along.

I don't know what else happened until dream ended.

Dream 5 - Simple Seated Stroll
The visuals were dim but otherwise clear. I woke up under a canopy, which, on crawling out, was revealed as a large and wide set of diamond-plated stairs, going up at least a story high. From there, I noticed I was on the roof of a multi-storied building, itself dwarfed by the surrounding drab colored apartment buildings typical of urban environments. Yellow-orange lights in the streets below contrasted with a starless, clear night sky. Two booths on opposite ends of the roof to my sides were the only obvious exits.

Found two or three other figures in the area. One was a late middle aged, light skinned, blue-uniformed cop, while another I perceived to be a construction worker. The cop told me I wasn't authorized to be there, and questioned what I was doing there in the first place.

"Just looking for a place to sleep for the night", I said.

This brought self inquiry, where I questioned how I turned up in such a place. I just then remembered last sleeping in my room, and so determined I was dreaming.

My first thoughts were on some task I could get done, but with nothing in mind, I ignored that.

I then looked down below, observing the rows of lit street lights. Directly across the street ahead, I noticed a more suburban area, rows of small, yard-less houses, lines of vehicles parked on the street, and narrow, arboreous verges on both sides. Of the vehicles, I could note a few small squared coupes, a minivan, and several sedans, many of these painted white. Furthermore, the trees were rather squat, and were almost entirely bare of leaves.

Well, I decided to go for a simple stroll. I instinctively sat down Indian style, feeling long rough cotton pants in my legs. This, in turn, granted me unfettered flight, which I used to gently float down below. I hovered along the street, simply admiring the environment, focusing on a vehicle here, a lamp post there, or what have you.

After about two minutes, I got distracted by something I thought of. Don't recall the details, but whatever it was, it made me nervous of losing the dream state. Indeed, I could now see the environment was warping before my eyes. I woke up in bed soon afterwards; certified by several breath tests.

Dream 6 - Fly Away From a Fight

The visuals were bright, and only slightly blurred. I was walking around the sidewalk of a suburban area, not unlike what's around my neighborhood. Nearby were the beige colored concrete walls to a housing complex, while a mix of tropical and deciduous trees were visible in the grassy verges and yards beside me.

I entered one of these complexes, one with a copper text and gleaming black background logo stamped on the wall. There, I found a large group of young adults ahead. Thought they'd be up to no good. I somewhat remember some kind of brief interaction. Whatever it was, I tried ignoring them.

Just then, a few males there blocked my way. In reaction, I simply floated up and over them, and continued along as if nothing had happened. I could sense a few were following, but they kept their distance, and so I paid them no further attention.

I'm not sure what else occurred until the dream ended.

    11. Alien Codec Call

      by , 02-20-2016 at 05:53 PM (Dream Logs DWN-12)
      Created Saturday 20 February 2016

I succefully attained a WILD, and got what I believe was one of the TOTMs. There was a dream before the first awakening, which I partially recalled immediately after it occurred, though I remember nothing of it now.

Spoiler for Spoilered to save page space:

Dream 1 - Alien Codec Call

Scene 1 - No Sight, No Problem!
I was in bed, feeling as if I badly needed to use the bathroom. I thought to get up, but found it difficult to move, making me very suspicious. Soon, I felt a familiar dizzying sensation, making me certain I was near a dream state.

Now, I knew I could just roll off the bed, thinking I'd do this by wall-phasing for the TOTM. But, I was sure the nearest wall I could easily maneuver to was a bit far, not to mention that I was blindfolded at the moment, so I tilted myself off the nearest ledge instead, doing so with ease.

By that point, I was slowly descending into a vast pit of nothingness. Wondered why I ended up here, until remembering I didn't really have an initial destination in mind. Oh well, at least it was a soothing fall, and the warmth in the area felt relaxing.

Got bored, so I imagined I'd hit ground soon, which occurred faster than intended. Still too dark to see, so I felt around, my expectations set on feeling some grass and fallen leaves suitable for a forested environment. Instead, I discerned a dusty, chalky stone floor. Further rummaging revealed nothing else.

Then, I overheard the voices of children passing by.

"Hey look," shouted one, "there's a man on the floor there!"

I sensed them gathering around, muttering to each other in curiosity.

"Stay away from there!", I heard a woman yelling nervously. "Keep moving..." They left soon enough. Oh well, nothing interesting.

Anyway, I thought again of the TOMTs, cycling through the possible options. Given my vision problems, I knew the phone call one would be the best bet, and began thinking how I'd go on about that, probably feeling around for a phone or something.

And then, surprisingly enough, I heard something ringing. "That's weird", I thought, "where's that even coming from?" Something about this tone sounded familiar. Upon hearing it further, I identified it as the sound cue for Codec calls in Metal Gear Solid. "Nice, how convenient." By instinct, I tapped my right ear, immediately hearing a voice muffled by static.

      "Hello?", I asked.

"Wwzzyyxaeu..." Thought it was more static.

I continue. "Is this another planet?"

"...wwwzzzuuy ayeaz awwz zaaxuuuiiieee...?" This droning went on for a while. As I heard more, I could indeed identify someone trying to communicate, someone with a high pitched tone. But, I learned this voice wasn't hindered at all. It's just how it spoke. Like a robot, one that spoke only in "z's" and vowels. In fact, aside from inciting its gibberish much faster, this thing sounded just as WALL-E. It's buzzing tones hinted curiosity. In time, the noise became louder, as if shouting angrily. After a single whooshing beep, the call gets dropped. Either way, this was very amusing.

Got a little concerned on whether I got the TOTM done right or not, so I decided to call again. This time, I tried visualizing an interface to go along with it, one styled as a black and green display as found in the aforementioned game. What I got was far cruder in comparison, seeming like it was made by an amateur flash artist, but I went with it anyway.

A few rings later, the call went through. From the display, I could indeed see I was speaking with something not of this world. This appeared as a generic Grey, one which, for some reason, wore the Cat in the Hat's... hat. Heh, talk about cliche. Anyway, my own profile in the display was left completely blank.

I then tried talking to it once more. "Hello again."

"Wwwuuueee iizzzxxaazz zzzeeee!", it droned. It was obviously not happy. The thing dropped the call yet again. Oh well, good enough for me.

From there, I resumed in visualizing the environment, this time, through appropriately themed music. Not too sure what I thought of, but I do know it was a cheery video game song. In any case, the environment began warping before my very eyes.

      Scene 2 - Chalk Dungeon

The visuals were highly blurred. I was laying in the floor of a long, narrow corridor carved of chalk-white stone. I still maintained lucidiy.

Got up and wandered for around for a while, passing through various small furniture placed within indents. Of particular interest was finding an occasional dais carved in the walls, from which stood a full suit of plate armor. As I crossed these, I had to make a double take, for, from the corner of my eye, it seemed as if they'd somehow moved.

Noticed the music was the same as last time, which clashed with what I saw. I cycled through various other songs, not certain which ones, until I settled with the more appropriate theme for Serigon Caves from Link: Faces of Evil. That's better.

After a bit more travelling, I end up in a small room of the same chalky material, a suit of armor tucked to the left rear corner. I step in to look around, when suddenly, the music changes to some RPG battle theme. Glancing back, I could indeed see the nearby armor was alive after all, slowly pacing after me. I reactively pose myself in a boxing stance.

Unfortunately, the dream collapses immediately afterwards.

      Scene 3 - Ah, Crap!

I woke up in bed, where, embarrassingly enough, I found that I soiled my drawers. Wasn't much, but still...

I walk stiffly to the nearest bathroom. To my dismay, I find my dad, and my brother, Xavier, were there working to fix something in the bathtub, with dad laying on the tub while Xavier hands him various tools. The two start arguing in Spanish, speaking on the differences in grammar found in the French and Spanish language, and difficulties found in translating between these. I recall Xavier claiming that Spanish was "too methodical", which seemed to insult dad a bit.

Anyway, I stood around impatient for them to finish, not even thinking to use the other bathroom not too far away.

I then awaken, both relieved (on not actually crapping my pants) and somewhat disappointed (in not realizing what I'd experienced sooner) to find that was just a false awakening.
