    Fragment of Dreams

    1. Entry #3

      by , 03-14-2013 at 11:34 AM
      So we were in this classroom.

      And by we, I mean an odd mixture of my old classmates from different year levels here in the very same classroom. One of them was my ex. It was then that I realized we were in a math class, after seeing my math teacher when I was in 7th grade. Thankfully, no lecture.

      That day was more like a day for document compilation for building our student portfolio which would be submitted by the end of the class.

      Everyone else has already submitted their portfolios but one. My ex.

      So my ex and Mr. Professor talks debates for a while on "why don't you have your portfolio with you?" "I can have it by the end of the class, I just blah blah blah blah blah stuff."

      I'm really poor at recalling conversations, sorry. But I do remember how ex moved next to the seat to mine to ask for assistance. I said sure.

      She asked me if she could borrow some stuff. I remember how disorganized she was. Like her pile of books in her bag was so disorganized. She had a blue bag with white stripes. Then I remember seeing some really big kindergarten crayons lying around some documents while she was sorting out the stuffs she's going to need for portfolio building.

      Anyway, in the midst of all that, she tells me that she forgot something, blah blah. "Can I borrow your pen? I lost mine." I saw a black pen squeezed in between the pile of books in her messy bag. I slowly pluck it out, and show it to her in a teasing manner. No words spoken, but my face was like, "and what's this?"

      she says, "but that's yours.." OH IT IS? SO THIS BAG? THIS MESSY BAG, THIS IS MINE TOO? (I actually never asked that question ever in the dream, I just realized it now - so the pen is in that bag, so that bag was mine? or was it that she borrowed that pen earlier in a dream scene? uhdunno.)

      But anyway, I just answer gently back to her, "it's okay..."

      So she takes it and she carries on doing her thing.

      The rest of the dream scene was much of a blur to me, but I'm still glad anyway that I was able to recall this much despite being only a few bits and fragments, and compile it to an entry.

      I do remember that there was a time I looked straight into her eyes. I observed her face and it was just so detailed. Everything was in the dream, in fact. But one thing I can say is that she doesn't look 101% the same as with the character based on real life. Probably because we haven't really seen each other in ages (in real life) and my brain's having a difficult time recalling her? I'm not so sure about that. Maybe it's a "interpret me" element of a dream too.

      Then I remember moving at the back of the room. I think someone called me. Then I was shown a drawing. Hey, who drew this? And who is this girl with you here? (it was not a realistic drawing, it was more like an anime sketch - i just remember the characters and the fact that we were sitting somewhere on a hill I suppose but I can't recall the background) Um, I made a wild guess but it was wrong - so I made another one, and finally got it right, "oh, this is Hanako! just take a look at it, doesn't that look like Hanako?" (Hanako is a character from a visual novel called Katawa Shouju)

      Then my ex in front row heard about this and was sort of put off when she heard about me and Hanako.

      And that's all I can put together now. I had plenty of other dreams in this session.

      Note:
      -> OH MY GURSH. for the time I had those "am i dreaming moments"
      -> rubbed my hands together
      -> spun around
      -> demanded INTENSIFY NOW!
      -> but boop. everything faded.
      -> led to a false awakening.
      -> I think this happened over again.

      Note:
      -> For preparation, I tried this out:
      - Achieving SP - staying there for I suppose 10-15 minutes
      - Moved to my side (first to my left side - but then it wasn't really working out but I did notice that my breathing + snoring pattern was very much that of a sleeping person |only a couple of minutes here like maybe 5 mins not the 10 mins suggested in tuts) but still no luck with achieving anything here so I
      - Moved to my other side (started having vivid visualizations, etc. etc. + I kept seeing those white lights while my eyes are closed + my eyes were like moving up towards the light) <- this is the last thing I remember

    2. Moved Too Early

      by , 03-14-2013 at 07:54 AM
      Shoot I moved too early! I had it! Grr!!!

      Something would not be so good for people if not something.(?)

      This seemed like a fragment of a REM dream, watched like a movie with a moral to the story, but what was it?

      Tour Bus

      I'm taking a tour bus through Seville and Cadiz. Lots of cool exciting stuff happens. In order to get between the "Seville" and "Cadiz" parts of town, we drive through a length of road that's covered in a couple of feet of water. But when we get to Seville, we realize there are not good beaches over there: the shore is all just rocks. [IRL: Visited Seville and Cadiz recently on a trip.]

      Castle Tour

      I'm touring a castle that's been converted into a museum. There are some blue stairs half-covered in sand and the lighting tends to be pretty low.

      I talk to a friend of my sister's about her technique of falling asleep by "rapture" (which is her word for "orgasm").

      Later, we're sitting in a room and there's a cat. Cleverly, I trick the cat into falling on its side in that cute way they sometimes do.

    8. WILD Session #1

      by , 03-14-2013 at 12:28 AM
      First Successful WILD Session

      Disclaimer: ADULT content ahead! Some twisted, morbid content ahead! Proceed with caution!

      Note: This is a WILD Session that popped up around some time before. c: Not really this time where I'm officially challenging myself to master WILD, just before I heard about WILD and wanted to give it a shot. Anyway, without further ado, here's the session:

      I was pretty damn sleepy that time. Just finished a project, and despite the fact I just had sleep a couple of hours earlier, I'm now lying in my bed still really sleepy. weird, this rarely happens. It was around the afternoon. Now I'm not sure the exact time, I'm thinking around 2PM or 3PM or 4PM.

      The *atmosphere* circulating around my mind was just. really. different. from the usual. I can't put it into words, but seriously, it was just so different, like something I've never experienced before! The feeling crawling up to me was just like I could just summon whatever's in mind to a dream at any given point of time.

      So the first thing that came into my mind was: smexy time! c:

      Then I just felt like being sucked into the dream. Not like being vacuum cleaner sucked in, but the images, the scenes - they just kept coming, before I even realized it, I was inside the dream. And let me tell you, it was no smexy time at all.

      Now here's the WEIRDEST thing ever. So I was in the dream, and then I heard a kid. A little kid, asking for help. To stop it. Please, I never meant to hurt them. For some unexplained reason, I got the story that there was a daughter, little kid - abused, and then the stepfather, the abuser - and this little kid, she ended up, I think, killing her step sister. For what reason, I don't know, can't remember. So the stepfather was furious. Next thing I can remember, I was like floating in a room that looks like the one next to mine (in the real world), so I browsed through the computer and saw like an article piece of a kid who killed blah blah blah. Actually, I forgot what's exactly in that article piece, I just know I saw a news article and all that.

      And then there, I was in the body of the little kid. And I felt something inside of me. Like the stepdad's you know what. And it was painful. Not the kind of sex sensation I've ever experienced in a dream kind of painful.

      Then I woke up. The transition from a little girl body to my own felt like a wave overcoming me. It was weird. The first thing that came into my mind then was that how weird everything in the dream was. If you would take a look at it, it's actually somewhat realistic - like the plot is realistic and all that, but there are fragments (like elements in the dream) from the dream that are simply distorted. Though I think those distorted stuff would play some roles in dream interpration, etc. etc.

      Anyway, so that's one of the dreams I've had in my WILD session.

      I remember having a couple more, and I can still recall their scenes, but I won't put it in here anymore as their just bits and fragments. What I can is that they were extremely vivid and just very long dreams + far from my usual dreams

    9. 13th Mar 2013 Recording games with friend, Piloting Mecha, Watching Epic Anime,Weird Version Of Game

      by , 03-13-2013 at 07:15 PM (Scionox's Journal of Dreams)
      Dream 1(fragments):

      I was playing some games with LV and we were recording some games as well. There was some strange version of 'I Wanna Be The Guy' which was apparently 3D and there was one level we been stuck at which was happening in some kind of channel and there was moon falling. Then we were chatting for a bit on skype and our friend DP was with us as well. Later we finally managed to beat that one level, and decided to update YouTube channel before editing videos, then we were finally done with it and were talking about subscribers.

      Dream 2(fragments):

      I was in some big room with metallic walls and ceiling, and ice floor, i was trying to pilot some sort of mecha then i used it to break through ice and then was been able to move around underwater with it.
      Then later i was watching some anime about people who had power to transform into some combination of beasts and mechanical parts. I recall there was final battle between main character and bunch of enemies and it was on stadium of some kind. The main character of anime was really overpowered by that time and could freely take on two enemies without even using any advanced powers, then there's a ton of people were attacking him and he used his transformation, his powered form was some sort of big brown cat with stripes and green glowing eyes, piloting some sort of floating mechanical head. Then he went to final battle with main enemy, but only thing i can recall is that it was pretty epic.
      Later on i was watching apparently some episodes i missed, there was one that was telling something about time before those transforming powers were found. There were some kids watching show, which was ridiculously bad and people who was setting it up haven't even tried. Then one of people who was setting up show started telling some story about bizarre version of game he seen. The game started normally but once player got control his character was one hit killed by some black figure, which was saying 'sorry~' and even with cheats figure kept killing it.
    10. “Get off my case”

      by , 03-13-2013 at 06:25 PM (Keitorin's Dream Log)
      Notes: I had the worst time getting getting to sleep (again), even though I'd taken some sleeping pills. I ended up remembering some fragments anyway (enough to put them in my dream palace at least), so I thought I'd go ahead and type them up today (unlike yesterday when I couldn't even put my dreams into words, much less imagery - ugh).

      By now I already know I can hold a lot of information in my memory palace (I'm at 121+) and I have three dream "clusters" stored (I link all the dreams into one chunk each, so that's three days worth of dreams), so I'm thinking of removing dreams as I type them up here at DV, unless they are particularly memorable.

      These are all muddled so I'm just going to type them as one - but they may be separate dreams. When I woke up, there was already no order to them.

      I'm looking at Alistair and Zevran from Dragon Age: Origins on my computer, and dad comes up behind me. I flip through an image of one of their abs. We have a conversation about them that leads to dad calling one of them a 'she' (I think there was a picture of them together?), and I hesitate and start to let him think that, because he's against homosexuality, but in the end I stand firm and say "they're both guys". I think he says that it's fine.

      Side-note: In one of my loci, for remembering dad's phone number, I have my dad coming up to me and commenting on a porn scene on my screen - I wonder if that caused this dream? :O

      A little later, I'm doing something and I hear mom yell at dad, "Your religion is so sexist!". I hate when they fight in real life, but I was pretty into what I was doing and didn't seem to care in the dream.

      I have this man watching over a website of mine apparently, and I am in the room with him (maybe checking in). I look at one of the pages, and see that it's full of inaccurate Japanese. I express my dismay and exasperation.

      I believe the scene changes here a bit - me and a/the man are talking amiably, but at the same time we both know that we're just pretending for the sake of 'my sister' (I can't remember if she's in the room at the beginning, but she isn't in this next bit).

      We give up the pretense and talk about the task I have to go do, because the man is a demon who was put with my sister to have a hostage. I'm not worried that when I leave, he'll hurt her, but still a thought comes up from somewhere above my dream character - "Won't he hurt her while I'm gone anyway?"

      My aunt is leaving the house with a black camera, and I'm like, "oh, is that to get a better reading on the Japanese?". Mom, standing somewhere to the right, gets a mischievous look on her face. There's a few bits I couldn't remember.

      A trans* char (FTM I think?) was talking to someone in a room about what if someone they liked found out. Later, they're talking to that person and it turns out that he heard the conversation through the vents and knew, and was fine with it. He had blond hair. It's possible that DC!me from the demon part was trans* too and the demon had an inkling?
    11. Vincent the Superhero

      by , 03-13-2013 at 01:49 PM
      So last night i had the most amazing lucid dream.

      I'm standing in the middle of a crossroad, no one around and as I look to the sky I see a red comet. "Dragons.." I say and burst out in laughing: I'm dreaming. So I thought:" Dude, i'm totally going to fly now." Wich worked!!!! AWSOME I CAN FLY YEAHHHHHHHHHHH, but keep Calm Vince, else you're going to wake up!!!

      So the next moment i'm in the sky with 2 incredibely hot girls around my neck looking for trouble. And then there he was.... Voldermort...... This...is it...

      After a relatively long battle(At least, it felt long) I defeated him and got laid with one of the nice ladies.

      But I tried ( yes i'm a nerd i know.) a Kamehameha wave, but it didnt work... Also going super saiyan doesnt work for me.... -,- need some more practice i think....

    12. Dreams a treat like ice cream

      by , 03-13-2013 at 11:07 AM
      I dreamed that just like when getting ice cream in grocery shopping counting it as food is a cheat, similarly dreams are a treat not art of a basic food group.

      I think this dream was not really about ice cream as a metaphor for dreams, but rather it was a grumpy response from part ofe to the rest ofe saying that dreams are fun like ice cream but just like it they are optional and not essential. I think this dream may have been from the point of view of the part of me that does not want to put in the effort into remembering dream fragments: the foolish lazy part as most of me thinks of it.
    13. Dreams are like fast cars for others

      by , 03-13-2013 at 07:49 AM
      Dreams are like fast cars for others. My dreaming mind added the "for others caveat" since I am not one to enjoy race car driving in waking life. Though I might enjoy it in a dream. I do not consider myself a good driver, though I am certainly competent enough, and I do need to drive every day. Just like we are inside airplanes we are inside cars. I am often in the drivers seat though given a choice I prefer my husband to drive - yes, this is probably not the best metaphor for me. More self-esteem issues around driving. Although even pancakes have some self-esteem issues for me: I feel my mother-in-law makes much better ones than I do.

    14. Dreams are like pancakes :)

      by , 03-13-2013 at 06:36 AM
      I dreamed that dreams are like pancakes.

      How are pancakes like dreams? I shape my dreams and cook them. They may start out shapeless and liquidy, but them they solidify like magic. When I eat my dreams, they become part of myself. Dreams are often circular: no end and no beginning, and often repeat. One can toss a pancake in the air, and watch it float like a magic carpet in a dream. Most people like pancakes/dreams. Just like a pancake may have blueberries or something else in it, a dream may hide a gem worth discovering. You pour syrup over a pancake to make is taste better and sweeter, and at times we disguise our dreams to be more palatable to ourselves. Breakfast is the most important meal of the day and yet we hurry through it, and dreaming can similarly have a crucial often insufficiently recogniZed importance. My dreams spiritually nourish and sustain me. I do not have time to make pancakes except for on the weekend, and part of my mind has been fighting the dream recall effort as too much for everyday life. Just like pancakes dreams are shaped by culture (different international variations), there are family recipes, and individuals can experiment with making their own variations. Each of us can have our own pancakes, but it is possible to share a pancake (and many people claim one can share a dream). Even my picky water younger son likes pancakes, and dreams can appeal to everyone.

      This is my third metaphor for dreams in my dreams: fish, airplanes, and pancakes. Unlike fish airplanes soar free instead of being confined by self-censorship to an aquarium, but unlike airplanes pancakes become part of me and are not up there but close at hand. Fish are slippery, airplanes and solid, and pancakes not so much - one can shape a pancake, whereas an airplane comes in a certain shape and cannot be actively changed. One can consume fish and pancakes (sort of like the biblical spiritual food of fishes and loaves of bread) whereas airplanes consume one. Will I let my predefined dreams consume me, or will I through dream interpretation and later through lucid dreaming redefine my dreams and incorporate them into myself? I am hoping for the later. I want to be in charge of my dreams! Though I am also in charge of my fish: I control every aspect of their environment in my fish tank - it is up to me whether they live and thrive or die. If I put in the effort and with proper knowledge I can control mg fish, though I may prefer to observe their antics instead and be surprised by what they teach me about nature. I can also control an airplane, but only if I am the pilot, not as a passenger in a commercial flight. Airplanes and dreams allow us to fly: something we humans long for. Pancakes are not as ordinary as they may appear, and baking pancakes or bread is an activity that shows greater sophistication, a higher level of culture - though airplanes are much more technologically advanced. Fish in the aquarium hobby appeal to aesthetics, whereas pancakes appeal to our taste buds - I am engaging a new sense here. Airplanes had added a louder sound, though fish tanks also have a sound component which is a white noise, but they ate not as loud as airplanes. Oh, and pancakes are much more mundane and approachable than airplanes: despite the potential for too much effort for every day pancakes, they could become an everyday food if I were motivated. Fish are part of my everyday life. Airplanes are not. Both fish and pancakes are something I am competent and capable at, whereas at least in waking lives I do not know airplanes on such a level and I rely on others to control (though in my dreams I could of course pilot an aircraft.

    15. 13th Mar 2013 Game characters discuss types of gameplay

      by , 03-13-2013 at 01:03 AM (Scionox's Journal of Dreams)
      Recall from non-lucid naps, not much there today.

      I was in some kind of game and there was moment where a bunch of game characters were discussing types of gameplay, linear story vs non-linear. At some point one game character that was sitting out whole discussion got up and said that it doesn't matter really, everyone was kinda shocked and were trying to get him to understand their point of view, but he was staying on his, while holding some quest object: "Does not matters whether we have one way of life or multiple, if game's creator is good enough, we'll have fun either way, and i trust our creator".
