non-lucid

Went to bed at 12am last night, watching Breaking Bad marathon. So didn't WBTB for a WILD. I switched to sofa around 8 am and tried to WILD, but fell asleep.

DR from the nap.

There was more, but all I remember now is me running by an erupting volcano. (I saw few days ago how some volcano in South America woke up and was spewing huge amounts of smoke. I noticed lots of molten lava in the smoke.) It looked just like that in the dream.

There was also something about me being at home, school reunion, my mom there too, my room teacher who didn't remember who I was.

Vivid dream about visiting Scotland and seeing my grandparents.

Going to a wedding
I'm at Bob W's house. I pull up YNAB on my phone to check something, and he sees it and asks me about it, appreciating that I'm taking good steps to take care of my finances. Now we're getting ready to leave to go to a wedding, and I'm still in my grubby clothes. I'm not sure where my good clothes are, but I think they're waiting for me where the wedding is being held. Now I'm in the house by myself; I know that everyone else has already loaded up in Bob's van and they're waiting for me. I have a moment of doubt about whether we'll all fit, but I assume he knows what he's doing and that we'll be fine.

Now I'm sitting by myself in a vehicle. I look around and realize I'm not in a minivan. I get out and see that I was in a large station wagon. I walk out of their garage onto their driveway, and I see a huge double-decker tour bus, and I know they're waiting for me. I get on board. To my left, a narrow stairway goes up to the upper deck. Another passage leads off to my right to the driver, and I can only see one chair - a nice big padded one - in front of me. Now we're driving down his driveway, and the driver makes some comment about having shifted too many gears too soon, and that he can't shift back, so it'll be a tough merge into traffic on the main road.

Now we've arrived and are in the room where the wedding will be held. It's a small room with lots of dark wood; very attractive, but I'm concerned that there are only three chairs plus a lectern. I look around the room again and realize that it's actually a hallway; there are many closed doors going this way and that. A woman - the wedding organizer - says that a couple more chairs are on their way, but I know that's just not enough - it won't even be enough for our small party, let alone for all the other guests. Looking through a window, I notice that one of the doors leads out onto a balcony.

Now I'm standing on the balcony with Blake, looking down at a steep beach. A huge wave crashes over the beach, going way up the sand, eventually cresting the top and going down the far side. I can see a large bag get washed over, and I know that there's a path down there - though I can't see it - that's about to get washed over.

Tasks of the Month
I'm in a house, and I realize that I'm dreaming. I start to move slowly and carefully, then I remember that I always do that in my lucids and force myself to walk normally while making it a priority to remember that I'm dreaming. I try to remember what my goals are and remember that the first TOTM is to find a missed present. I try to visualize what a Christmas tree with a single present under it would look like, then turn around, expecting to find it. Instead, I find a whole bunch of small, sparse, undecorated trees. I don't see any presents, but I walk over and look under them. I see something small near the wall, so I crawl under the trees to get it. It's a huge pouch of Fruit by the Foot. I tear it open, curious as to what I'll find inside, and I'm almost surprised that it actually has Fruit by the Foot in it. I pull the roll out and see that it's not well rolled, and it's somehow really gooey. I unroll a bit and try a bite. Because it's so gooey, I end up getting a bit of the paper in my mouth, but I decide that, since I'm dreaming, the paper won't be a problem, and I can't even feel it. It tastes just like the real thing. I get some on my fingers, and I have trouble getting it off.

Now that I've completed the first task, I try to recall another one, and I remember the pencil task. I start to form an image of a table with a piece of paper and a pencil; then I notice that there's already a table in front of me, covered with arts supplies, with someone sitting at while drawing. I'm already fixated on the idea of summoning a table and completely ignore the one in front of me. Once I have the image in my mind, I turn around to find a table exactly as I'd pictured it. Walking up to it, I mentally command the pencil to draw something. It rises to a 45 degree angle and starts to scribble all over the paper. Some areas are densely colored in with jagged strokes, and other areas have wide, flowing curves. Oddly, the pencil is drawing in blue. The paper was already half-covered in some kind of picture, and the existing design is quickly hidden by the scribbles.

Now that I've completed both tasks, I try to think of something else to do, and I decide to summon Jadzia Dax (I have absolutely no idea where this idea came from - I haven't watched DS9 in years). I think of what she looks like and turn around, but no one is there. I start wandering the house looking for her. I see a couple of people and ignore them, then finally find someone who kind of looks like her, even if she is wearing a dress. As soon as I start walking towards her, she changes into a grizzled man with a buzz cut. I try to change him back, but it doesn't work, and the dream fades.

Foiled flying
I'm in a house looking at a post from Heather. A picture shows two of her boys playing with a strange toy: one of them is holding something in his mouth, and the other is pulling on a long elasticated cable attached to the mouthpiece. I can't imagine what this thing is supposed to do and how they can play with it without one of them getting hurt; either the one with the mouthpiece gets a face full of elastic or the other one ends up with a hard mouthpiece flying at him. The caption of the picture says something about home-made gifts often being the best ones.

Now I'm working on Poppy's table with Bob H. The table has been pulled apart in the middle, and he's trying to put the leaves (3 of them, each 6 inches wide) back in. He's having trouble, trying to put them in the wrong way, and I really want to tell him that I'll take care of it, but I don't so I don't offend him. Eventually he puts an extension in the tip of the table (since when has this table had extensions?). I try to look at it without being obvious to see if the grain of the wood matches - I don't think he got it right. Thankfully, he announces that he needs to leave and asks me to finish up and then put the table away somewhere safe (it's currently off to the side of the living room just to get it out of the way).

Now he's gone, and I realize I'm dreaming. Vividness is poor but not bad. I rub my hands, but it doesn't really do much. Nearby, I see my dog and cat lying down in front of the fireplace, and the dog is licking the cat. I praise him for being a good dog, walk over, and pet the cat. Her fur is warm and soft, and the dream grows more vivid. I try to focus on more of my senses to see what else I can pick up. I can't smell anything, and there's nothing to taste, but I can hear her purr. I stand up and decide that this time I'm going to practice flying.

I walk down a hallway and turn left towards the front door. I open it and pass through and am disappointed to find myself in the garage. I decide there's no need to wait until I'm outside to fly and jump into the air then zoom towards the open garage door. Unfortunately, there's chain-link fence covering the doorway. I steel myself to pass through it, knowing that I've flown through things before; but as I'm about to hit, I have a moment of doubt, and I get caught my it. I manage to force myself through, but I'm disappointed to find myself in another indoor area. I scold myself for failing to properly imagine what I should find. Looking around, I see that there's a section of the ceiling that seems to be open, and I fly towards it. As I get closer, I see that it's also covered by chain-link, but at least I can see sky beyond it. Once again, I get caught by the fence, and I end up waking up.

I was in the back of a house at a party, with lots of kids at it. The house had a big wooden bit at the back so we were undercover from the elements. I threw a peach up high into the sky and it came down splat on someone.

I really need to get back into writing my dreams when I wake up in the night.

I'm talking to the thing which is possessing/has become a part of a friend of mine. It's attempting to be threatening, and I'm attempting to stall. We're talking about why it would bother possessing someone at all.

Although I don't say this out loud, I'm thinking that for me the appeal is what I think of as different flavors, the experience of different personalities/perspectives, when from the outside they pretty much all seem alike. And I'm also thinking that travel is the more obvious reason, the one that it would expect me to guess without having any personal experience with possession; and I think that sure, visiting Hawaii and seeing some pretty scenery is always appealing, but then there's the way humans will get up close to an active volcano, which is the really interesting part - meaning their thought process, not the volcano or even the danger itself.

But the thing possessing my friend says that what it likes is the conversation; that we've been talking now for two minutes without pause, and it's enjoying the novelty. I don't get the appeal, but whatever works for you.

There was a lady explain that magic wasn't bad in it self. It depends on the type of magic you are practicing.

Dream 1: I was in a big sort of mansion/house, hiding maybe

Dream 2: There was a Christmas party at my mums house, lighting candles for Opa

Dream 3: They were releasing new harry potter movie and game cards, aidan telling me about it, also shirts, as well as new yugioh cards and also people from my dad's work gathering for a mass suicide

I actually had this dream on Christmas morning, but I've been busy and haven't bothered to write it down until now. In fact I didn't even plan on attempting lucid dares until a much later date seeing as I need to completely rebuild myself in terms of lucid dreaming. (I actually have started doing recall excersises.)

However my subconscious completed this dare for me, so I figured it best to post on it.

The dream started with me false awakening and going on an early morning run up to the Library (on Christmas morning) and going to check out a book. When I got there the sky was clear and I could see stars and the sun was just starting to come up. As I arrived I attained some level of lucidity, first questioning why I had decided to come here early on Christmas, when the library was undoubtedly closed, and thinking that I should return home so that we can open presents, and later my lucidity ascended to semi lucidity of the dream environment thinking about completing a lucid dare.

The thing that I remember becoming interesting was from the outside the front wall of the library was gone. You could walk right in and turn around, and then the wall would be visible, but it was still intangible, and you could walk back out to the outside. I did some experimentation with this by walking sideways and observing that the wall was a strange two-dimensional plane, like a bugged polygon in a video game engine that you can only see from one one side.

I then thought about the dare cafe and had given me and decided to look for a journal, with the expectation that one would be on one of the bookshelves. I found a small leather book under a shelf that looked like a journal but I couldn't get it open because it had a lock on it.

Marcus then appeared and said that he wanted to help me complete the dare but that he didn't normally keep a journal so he would have to make one up on the spot. He walked over to the large format printer and plugged a micro-USB cable into the side of the frame of his glasses and the other end into the printer and started printing out a very large sheet of light gray paper with blue writing on it.

The top half read "The four houses of hogwarts are "Nightngale, Grifflepuff, Snakehead and Sandwich" and showed a hogwarts coat of arms in full color. (The rest was written in sloppy blue handwriting that looked not unlike my own handwriting.) The bottom half was some nonsensical math equations using the variables C,W,X,Y,Z, and maybe a few others. They ended an equals sign and a drawing of a sandwich.

I think he was about to print more pages but I lost the dream and woke up.

I did this semi lucid and my subcon did most of the work, so, DawnEye (still tempted to call you 'Cafe'), let me know if you want me to try again.

Last night I thought about being connected in the dream with Eye to give me enough motivation to lucid dream. I also thought about the upper hand I would have after having my first dream for the night.Before I knew it I was already inside the dream in my old house, surrounded by a few dream characters and Eye.I became aware it was a dream but all I recall doing with this lucidity is exiting the house and observing my surroundings while talking to Eye. I ended up becoming non lucid again though and thought to myself how I ended up walking on a wooden platform.It was then that my memory came back to me, making me feel like I had the upper hand again.

I thought about my lucid goal than and decided to follow whatever characters I saw for now. After following them I felt Dawn was nearby and decided to walk with him. We ended up in a room where most people felt lost and didn't know where to go next. I remember telling Dawn something at the time when suddenly I saw a blonde anime girl running away in the distance and the ocean's water started forming in the room. Afterwards I splashed in the water happily as Dawn walked in it as if he was searching for something. I let him know I was appreciating the moment I had to swim as the water rose higher and higher until it became too much. The water ended up pushing us around and somebody ended up out the window. Can't remember who. It stopped after a bit though and was decreasing in size.

To my surprise a group of creatures rose up out of the water, along side a just above life size Luigi."Dawn look! Those look like a bunch of creatures I could fight for the Dhl mission"I said focusing on their faces. The one that caught my attention the most though was one with a giant chicken head and the luigi guy. Dawn acknowledged that I should take the opportunity so I leaped towards them and kicked all their faces as they stood in a row and threw a few punches at them while thinking I could use my wind power. But I stopped after seeing them walk away nonchalantly like not much happened after they felt the hit. They also seemed like poor dream villains so I let it go than followed Dawn somewhere else.

We ended up inside a Mall where Eye appeared. I followed them wondering where they would go but lost sight of them eventually. I stopped near huge escalators that went down and up. It being a dream I could just jump over it but I wanted to try using it. I walked onto it going down but than it suddenly broke and I fell onto a step.I wondered if Dawn and Eye would help out if they found me but it wasn't like I needed help. I got back up and leaped onto the floor level ready to find them again. We ended up crossing paths again but I lost lucidity.Dawn and I entered a Library where the receptionist asked for our cards. I gave him a small one on my key chain and decided to check out a few comics while I was there. However, as I was looking I found an interesting looking pocket lotion on the book shelf labeled Aloe Vera. It seemed to have small prizes inside its case so I wanted to buy it. But than an old friend came up to me and started complimenting me on the new coat I got. I was proud of the material used on the coat and thanked her. She than asked for lotion so I gave her it than walked away to look for a book. However, I got distracted when my coat and shirt came off and I saw some people laughing. I know I also became semi lucid when I saw a kid that resembled Eye sitting at a table. But I woke up after walking away.

Notes: I forgot that I mainly wanted to interact with Eye in the dream when I saw Dawn. But ah well...Maybe another time.

Winter, night. I see an unusual golden color lamb, he is deity, but something happened with him. His kicked out from somewhere, or he fled himself. I saw this in such image, lamb flew a very long distance through the air, close to pine forest, and fell down on the snow. Then he decided to dig a hole in the snow, and began do it. It seemed to me, that it did not greatly upset him, because he is deity, and actually nothing bad could happen. He just wanted to rest and sleep in the burrow. Then I see a sectional schematic. He digged a very big burrow, a narrow passage on top, a circular burrow below, the volume is probably 100 times more him. When he had finished, he fell asleep on the bottom. While digging he was seen by a large herd of ordinary gray sheep. They came to his burrow and followed his example, all began to climb into his burrow, and completely filled it, that in the burrow is not left empty space. They are lying on sleeping magic lamb and on each other. Sheeps also filled the whole passage, and a few left to sleep at the entrance of the burrow. I thought, what a terrible claustrophobia have these sheep, they do not have enough air, and if someone from the bottom wants to get out, it will be quite impossible to do. The only thing was clear, that with golden lamb nothing will be, because he is immortal, he slept peacefully.

One dream blended into another, I was at a work place when a guy with a bald head and glasses came in.
He lifted up my clothes revealing a black and red silken kimono apparently a martial arts garb. He too was wearing similar garb.
We had a friendly bout discussing our fighting styles and I threw him to the ground. He asked me smilingly to come with him to help.
They had a problem with some people trying to takeover their operations. He was a farmer Oo.
I headed out to a muddy farm yard, where I was assailed by many ruffians. they circled me and matrix style I got hold of a kendo stick
from somewhere and started battering them. Swirling the stick I hit many at a time. Eventually the battle was over, it was quite fun.
A large lorry had drawn up in the yard with a big old guy in it. He asked if I could come with him to sort out some more problems.
I woke up.

So yeah I have been lazy and haven't focused on dreaming for a few months and now it is time to play catch up . Hopefully this will be relatively painless.

LOOK AT THAT, only one day missing, ah well I will just leave a blank for December.

Me and my cousins arrived to the temple. Before we walked in I explained that Lama Dorjee was very spiritually awake and to please respect him. I also explained that he has the ability to see your mind clearly in the most loving way. We walked into the temple ran into Lama Dorjee as soon as we opened the door. My cousins ran towards him and greeted him with a big hug. Like a child running to parents after coming home from a long trip.

Went to bed around 11:40 PM and am used to waking at 8:30 AM with the alarm clock (although usually I naturally wake up before that)

Non-lucid dream 1:
I was walking with both my parents and a male DC I've never seen before inside a abandoned construction site of a Shopping Mall. I've never felt a stronger feeling of 'dejavu' in a dream, and later I remembered already having a dream at that exact same spot. It didn't have any finished floor, it was merely sand, and in it there were some medium sized wholes that looked like a bunch of spheres were impacted because they were thrown from a distance (although there weren't any spheres). I remember me and the male DC were comparing each and every whole we found asking about it's existence but still not being able to identify a reason.
At the end of this long walk there was some kind of alien restaurant, although I didn't actually see it. I was only seeing the items they sold in front of my face, just like some movie edit, and one of the plates they were serving was the "Bacon and Eggs from Outter Space". It basically was what the name said, some normal looking fried eggs and bacon with some form of transparent gelatinous substance underneath.
*(this could be some sort of dream incubation because a few days earlier I was listening to the DV Podcast on YouTube, and Ophelia Blue [aka Lisa] was talking about how she tried to see past a mirror and it was the same form of gelatin in the plate of my dream)

Non-lucid Dream 2:
I was in this house that I knew it was mine although I've never seen it in my entire life. I felt some kind of agony for having this sensation of being stuck in there, and I decided to go to the balcony.
Down at the backyard there was a swimming pool, which was quite big for the yard itself, and I remember talking to some sort of inexistent/invisible being that said I should jump towards the pool. I was afraid I'd get hurt and decided not to, when out of nowhere my dog Bambina just came out of the house and jumped into the pool, as if she was inviting me to jump also. I ended up jumping, still afraid as sh*&, and didn't get hurt. So I played with my dog inside the pool for quite a bit, when I've heard a voice calling my name and I woke up!



Regarding my Dream Recall recently:
My recall has been kind of weird, I woke up today and didn't remember a thing from my dreams. Went downstairs to eat breakfast, got back up, brushed up my teeth, sat down my desk AND THEN started having my dream recalls.
Usually (back in the day) I wake up fresh with all my dreams in mind and then they start to fade away, I'm just not sure why my recall got backwards today.

I'm in another world with dragons, samurai and some form of magic. Many heroes are looking for a hidden treasure, but fail to find it. A small, bald old man stands on the edge of a jungle, on a cliff. In front of him about five kilometers away there is a massive chasm in the side of a mountain. I can see a cavern full of treasure inside the chasm. The piles of gold are massive.

The old man flies down to the treasure. A bit later a boy dressed like a warrior follows him. He rides a massive dragon made of water. A magic spell he knows, I assume. He also has two small dragons following him.

The boy enters the cavern full of gold and confronts the old man. I'm there with my brother as well. The boy is angry that the old man has been hiding the treasure all this time. The old man tries to calm him down by saying it was for a good reason. I look around and spot a huge egg. It's the size of a house. There's a metallic serpent coiled around the egg that looks like a colorful jewel. It looks quite pretty. "You have a dragon egg here?!" I ask, but before he can say anything, an adult red dragon enters the cavern. We all spread out and get ready to fight. The small dragons that followed the boy try to attack the red dragon with fire. It does nothing. The red dragon rears it's head, preparing to turn us to ash. Just before the flames reach me, the scene ends.

I'm in an ancient Japanese city. My brother was killed by the dragon. There is a statue of my brother in the middle of the town. There's writing carved all over the statue, memorable things my brother said. People have a large brush and paint over the carvings with ink, like writing them again. It's my turn, but my hands shake too much to use the brush. I dip my hand in the ink and swipe over the word "No". I walk away and fail to hold back tears. I bawl and collapse into a little ball against a wall.
