    1. 4/17/12: The bike cop; old software; and fragments

      by , 04-17-2012 at 12:50 PM
I'm biking around a city with a friend. We're biking through a parking lot for a strip shopping center.

Now we're on a road, heading towards a huge intersection, going pretty fast. As we get close to it, I glance at the crosswalk indicator - it's just counting down to 0. The moment it hits 0, the light turns yellow. We're close enough that we can't stop - we have to go through. Right after we enter the intersection, the light turns red. I hope no one is around to see us, but I see that there's a police car in the turn lane to our left.

Now we're on the side of the road, stopped on a little grassy spot. We hear a siren behind us - it's a bike cop coming after us for running a red light. I want to try to explain that I was in the intersection and my friend was past the intersection before the light turned red, but the cop isn't in a good mood, and I want to wait for the right moment. He tells us that we'll need to take a driving course.

Now we're in a van with the cop - he's driving. He's looking for food that's right for the test. We pull up by a stand by the side of the road that's selling something, but it's not right. Then, someone else in the back of the van offers pizza.

      ---

I'm in a conference room with some people. One of the people is asking for an older version of some Microsoft software. It's freely available, but he can only find the Windows 7 version, not the XP version that he needs. Someone else at the table gets mad at him - they had to go through the trouble of contracting with Microsoft to get the old version, so this guy should have to as well.

      ---

I'm in a house with some people.

      ---

I'm with a small group of people walking into the atrium of a shopping mall - it's a huge space. Displays are set up here and there; we pass near one of them that's for a video game. D tells me I should save up for it and buy it.

    2. June 25: New Powers

      by , 06-25-2011 at 03:13 PM
This dream starts off with me running up some steps. I feel as if I'm escaping from something, and that becomes true as I'm tackled from behind by some person. Because I fall on my belly, I can't tell who it is that attacked me. I struggle for a bit in an attempt to get away, but I'm hit in the back of the head and I black out. The next time I'm awake, I'm on my back on a gurney and all my clothes are gone. I look around the room. It looks like the inside of a morgue, but has the feeling of a hospital room due to all the machinery and chemicals. When I look down at my arms, I see that I have a couple of these machines hooked up to me, and that one is pumping a thick black liquid into one arm, and the other is pumping a strangely orange looking fluid into the other arm. I can feel the two liquids burn where they enter and as they spread, but I'm too lethargic to do anything about it. When I look to my right side I see a man with long, dark hair in a similar position as me. However, his liquids look a different color and he seems a lot more like he was enjoying the situation. He's awake, and when he notices me looking at him he begins to scream in a very lunatic matter, "Awake! Awake! Awake!"

Two scientists quickly run into the room at his loud screeching, one to my bed and one to his. They both pick up a syringe filled with a radiant green liquid and insert the needle up the insides of our arms. While he accepts it very calmly and drifts into unconsciousness, I panic because of the severe pain it causes and begin screaming myself. It's a short lived one as I quickly black out as well.

This time when I awake, I'm sitting in an auditorium with a group of my classmates. Our principal is walking around the room speaking about something, and then she begins pointing out people to come join her. I end up being one of the six chosen. At first I'm confused as to what's going on, but suddenly I get the urge to want to please someone's wishes and a smile comes across my face and the faces of the other five chosen. One by one we begin demonstrating our powers. When my turn arrives, I begin shifting into a few animals and pick my true display of power to be a medium-sized dragon and kill and devour the first row of students. I can sense that it bodes very well with whoever my masters are. The rest of the students chosen with me show their equally ferocious powers, and then our principal walks back downstage and begins pointing out students once more. These seem more terrified than us, and I realize that I was once in their position. In the earlier part of my dream, I had been chosen to become a weapon and had been escaping from it. However, the fact no longer applied to me, so I stood passively on the stage with my fellow beings and watched as the chosen students were taken out of the room.

As for the rest left behind, we six were allowed to do whatever we wanted. The result was gore and utter chaos and destruction. As we're killing the last of the ones left behind, I wake up from my dream.
    3. April 23 - My Best Owl

      by , 04-23-2011 at 03:02 PM
I'm by myself, playing around in my back yard (which seems much larger than normal) when I noticed what seems to be a bird's nest. However, it's weird because in my dream it's resting at the bottom of one of the trees in the yard. There are about five or so eggs in there, and one of them is partially hatched. The sight makes me extremely sad because in the partially hatched one I can see part of the animal inside and I believed it to be dead and I pick it up. However, all of a sudden the eggs continues to hatch and out emerges some sort of owl species. I absolutely fall in love with it and the feeling appears to be mutual as it crawls up my arm and settles there. It already knows how to fly and we become sort of best friends and are completely in sync with one another.

There then seems to be a bit of a time skip, because all of a sudden it's a few years later. I'm searching for my owl but I can't find it anywhere. I quickly find out that someone has stolen my owl and killed it, and this makes me extremely angry. I track the kidnapper to a group of scientists who are working to perfect the human being by infusing various animal DNA into various humans. I find out that they killed my owl and another woman's child so they can fuse the genes and create a new being. I go kind of insane and begin killing the scientists with whatever I can find, and halfway through my massacre I wake up from my dream.
    4. January 28 - Extreme Racing

      by , 01-28-2011 at 06:01 PM
The dreams starts off with a bunch of people there. I don't recognize most of them, but there's one guy who is one of my friends who is on my racing team, and then a girl. The only other people besides these two that I know are the members of the Scooby Doo gang who are, of course, racing in their Mystery Machine. I was very excited because somehow my friends and I had managed to befriend a dragon to be our racing machine. Somebody starts the race and we begin racing across various parts of the world, including a long, low wooden bridge built over very murky water, and a large area of forest.

Most of the dream consists of just as racing. My group was in first place until we got back to the bridge area, which was the last stretch. Somehow our dragon had hurt its wing and we ended up crashing into the water. I saw my dragon race away back to where it came from under the water and I waved goodbye to it before I sunk to the bottom of the liquid. It was strange what I saw. Lined up along the edge right before the area ended were what looked like seriously freaky garden gnomes all the way across. As soon as I touched the bottom, one came at me and grabbed me, saying something about how because I had come to some Otherworld, my soul would have to be taken from my body. I grabbed a Skeleton that was at the bottom of the water and managed to trick the Gnome into thinking that the soul of this already deceased person was much better than mine, and I swam away back to the surface. I woke up just as I began to climb back onto the dock and I saw that our team had still won first place.
    5. December 12 - Another Zombie Apocalypse

      by , 12-12-2010 at 06:47 PM
This dream starts off with me hanging out in what seems to be a type of cabin room with what appears to be some friends of mine, and one of my nephews. As they talk, I look around the room and notice that we have several skillets, a sword, and some kind of gun. I then walk out of the room with my nephew. Just as we reach the center of what seems to be a large, desert-like area surrounded by several cabins, an alarm sounds off.

Automatically I recognize this as the sound signaling the beginning of a zombie apocalypse. My nephew and I run back to our cabin to pick up the things I took notice of earlier, but we can't get through a large crowd of panicking people, and our cabin has been looted by the time we reach it. Angry at the gall of the people, we race back out to see my mom, dad, and sister in what seems like a mix between a Hummer, a four-wheeler, and a bulldozer. They toss us weapons: I get a couple of pistols and a metal spear, and my nephew gets a rifle and a Katana. We jump onto the back of the exterior of the vehicle and begin killing zombies as we drive by.

Suddenly the scene changes to what seems like an Italian Renaissance era (think Assassin's Creed 2/Brotherhood), and I have just stabbed the final surviving zombie through the head with my spear. Some buzzer goes off like I've just won a game show, and the scene changes again.

This time, I'm a 3rd person view. I'm looking at a young guy in a lab, who's probably in his 20's. From witnessing the scene, I'm able to make out that he has recreated the zombie strain and plans to put it in food to re-create the apocalypse to gain access to something, as he will have the only vaccine. He laughs a typical maniacal laugh, and I wake up.
    6. November 15 - Zombie Apocalypse

      by , 11-15-2010 at 10:41 PM
I don't know how the zombie apocalypse starts in my dream. When I enter, the pandemic has already begun and where I am at there seems to be nobody around. I walk through what seems to be a large, courtyard type area outside of a medium sized cottage house. I enter the house through some French doors and flip on some lights. I had entered what seemed to be the kitchen area, though it's rather small. When I switch on the lights, I all of a sudden can see zombies meandering around the courtyard exactly where I had been only a moment before. However, they don't seem to take any care in the fact that I am drawing attention to myself. I then go to the stove and pick up a frying pan that I intend to use as a weapon.

I look out the French doors from where I just came and notice a large pipe about waist high going through what all of a sudden appears to be a extremely thick brick wall starting at the side of the cottage. Inside of the pipe is a boy who I seem to recognize, but I can't place who it is. Standing directly in front of the pipe with its back to the boy is another zombie. I can, however, tell that he's pleading for help so I begin to knock loudly on the windows farther away to draw all of the zombie's attentions. Suddenly alert to my presence, they all swarm to the area where I am knocking and begin to moan and claw at the glass. That is, all except the zombie standing in front of the boy. It stays oblivious until the boy finally decides to retreat into the pipe. Finally this particular zombie seems to take notice of movement and follows the boy into the pipe. Since the zombies are enthralled with where I was knocking on the glass, I decide to go try to help him and follow through the same pipe.

When I come out on the other side, it seems like we're in something similar to a darkly colored prison hall in aura. The entire hall is made of a dark steel. I immediately see the boy and the zombie wrestling with each other and I grip my skillet to get ready to help. The next thing I hear is the boy yelling at the zombie, "No! Don't bite me! Don't bite me!" A cold dread washed over me and I slowly shuffled around the fray and took off running down the hall, leaving the boy behind me. A guilt fills me as I hear him call after me, "No! Don't leave me behind! You'll regret this!"

Somehow I end up entering what seems to be a larger metal room filled with survivors. What's even more weird than coincidentally coming upon this group is that the boy I just left behind is sitting in the corner of the room with blood running down his arm. It seems that he was telling the story of his almost-escape from the disaster when he turns to speak to me, "I didn't get bitten by the zombie you saw me fighting. After I finally crushed his skull, I was attacked by another zombie that had found me. I could've been saved if you had been there." Almost as soon as he says these last words to me, I wake up.
    7. November 11 - Giant Indoor Obstacle Course

      by , 11-11-2010 at 04:39 PM
I'm not quite sure how to explain the interior of this dream. It looks like a giant foyer or boiler perhaps where all the floors are that material where you can see down to the floor below you. In the middle of this wide expanse is a big hole where a set of spiraling stairs goes down an uncountable number of floors. It's very dark inside, but somehow I can still see everything that goes on. People are pressed against the walls along all the walls on every floor, as this seems to be a series of races. I'm actually involved in the first race around.

When we start, you're not allowed to stand up and run. Most of the races consists of you trying to crawl at a fast pace to every stage on your knees. I'm allowed to stand to run down the stairs to the next level, but I'm required to crawl to the next actual stage. At this point I seem to be very far ahead of everyone else. Once I reach the first stage, I stand up and have to do some tasks. I don't remember what it is other than it had something to do with archery. I continue on the course, but cannot recall what all stages I have stopped at or having gone down all the rest of the stairwells. The next thing I remember is passing the finish line, somehow on the top floor once more and I'm not at all our of breath.

My prize turns out to be a HD T.V. of some sort. I instantly turn in my dream and go to hand my prize to some little boy's father. He tries to reject the gift, but I insist that he takes it anyways, so he does. I then return to sit with my family to watch more of the races. I hear names of people I recognize being whispered, and I actually see one of my friends tumble off the side of the top floor of the foyer. I can actually perfectly see her crash several floors down, but she just gets up like she never actually fell. The races continue on, but I wake up just as a group of contestants make it down the first flight of stairs.
    8. November 10 - Snowy Caves

      by , 11-11-2010 at 02:54 AM
The dream starts off with me and one of my friends sitting on the ground outside of a school I don't recognize. However, it's a relatively small school and I do recognize that's it's not one that I've ever seen before. While we sit outside in the grass in silence, my mother suddenly appears and tells me to go pull up the car for her. I'm upset with her for a while because I was quite enjoying the aspect of remaining lazy, but my friend offers to go with me and so we go.

I don't actually remember walking through the school, but we are soon exiting into the other side, which seems to be sort of like the interior part of the grounds. Although I don't recall it having snowed in my dream, this whole area is covered in it. However, this is not where the car seems to be parked. To get to the car, we are required to go through these series of mazes within a cave. Before we go through the mouth of the beginning of this cave, a guy about my age appears and offers my friend and I a jacket if we allow him to accompany us. Seeing no harm in the matter, we allow him to do so. We put the coats on, and even though I had not noticed a temperature before, we seem to be much warmer with the newly added garments.

It seems to take us a while to get through the caves, although we never seem to get lost. Finally we come across my mom's car sitting alone inside a wide open area of the cave. Strangely enough, the guy who traversed with us suddenly attacks us. As we fight with him I ask him why he was doing so, but I can't recall the answer he gave me. My friend helps me to overpower this guy, and we quickly jump int car and drive off. As soon as we return into the maze of caves to make our way to the outside, I instantly am pulled from my dream and I'm awake.
    9. November 1- Death and a funeral.

      by , 11-01-2010 at 11:49 AM
This dream starts off with one of my nephews having passed away. When it starts, I am with his mother and my mother at his grave and we are highly upset. Everything we placed on the grave had been moved around the grave so that it no longer looked organized, and someone had dug up his coffin. While it looked like nothing had been stolen off him or out of the coffin itself, they had altered the way he was lying inside of it so that his body was in odd shapes and angles. While we try to figure out who would have done such a thing, we all move to fix him, re-bury his coffin, and organize all his gifts on his grave once more.

Strangely enough, the scene changes to where and when we are having the funeral. The place it's held in seems to be of castle-like qualities based on the interior. The rooms are vast and the funeral homes have decorated every single wall with quotes from our's and his past, and pictures. One in particular catches my attention, though I cannot remember what exactly was on it. Eventually we all proceed to what seems to be an altar-like area for the ending ceremonies. The pastor talks and once he's done, all of the immediate family including me partner up with someone else in the room. Once we have done so, we mount horses and ride off towards the distance, as the castle is all of a sudden gone. The farther we leave from where the castle had been, the more I become awake until I am completely pulled from sleep.
    10. October 28- Dinner with a show, plus a new encounter?

      by , 10-28-2010 at 11:59 AM
So when I first remember starting in my dream I'm sitting with part of my family and a couple of my friends, only one of whom I can actually recognize. We're in what seems like a very large cafeteria area that is open to the sky above us. Suddenly, lots of food appears on the table in front of us, but I'm not sure what all of it is, but I eat nonetheless. While we eat, performers come and go to what seems like a stage at the front of the cafeteria-area. Depending on what they do, their props seem to magically appear onto the stage. I'm amazed by it all and laugh along with my friends about all the tricks we're getting to see.

Near the end of the show, the only one of my friends that I recognize decides she wants dessert. It's no big deal to me at first. I quickly become agitated as she begins randomly yelling out to waiters to bring her something. My frustration with my friend increases when she begins trying to claim other people's desserts because no one will bring her one. Angry at her behavior, I leave the table to go outside and wait for everyone else to finish. It doesn't seem to take them long before my friends come out first and begin walking in one direction, and then my family come out and walk in another. Not sure which to follow, I begin tagging along with my parents only to find out that wasn't the way we needed to go. They just wanted to go to the car first before we walked home. I feel like something is up at this point, because it itched at my mind to ask them, "Why don't we just drive the car home, then?" However, I don't ask the question, they get what they need, and we begin what my mom tells me is a 25 miles trek in one direction.

Suddenly my dream shifts to a completely different scene from the one we were previously at. This time I don't seem to be myself, but rather a sort of 3rd-person view over the situation. This guy seems to be a sort of victim and is being escorted to a seating area by two other men. The guy, who we'll call Victim, looks relatively all right other than it looking like he has a sort of broken nose. When Victim enters the clearing with the two men, a rather large woman is already sitting in a chair. Before Victim even has a chance to sit down, she gets up and apologizes constantly about having punched him in the face. She claims she got excited in the moment and meant nothing towards him. Before anything else can be said, I wake up from the sound of my alarm clock going off.
