Yesterday IWL I went on a bike ride up the mountain with my daughter. She had just run a half marathon so it was hard to keep up with her going up a steep grade. In my dream last night I ran a marathon. I started out feeling young and strong and really in a good rhythm. As I got near the end though my age caught up with me, even in dreaming. It never got sleep paralysis slow, but I was barely able to finish the race. I'm going on a run this morning IWL, but I think I'll pace myself.
Good morning, everybody. Dream #1 I may have been flying through a neighborhood like the neighborhood I lived in as a teenager. It was a partly sunny, partly grey day. I landed in a backyard like my great grandmother's backyard. I started walking along the side yard, toward the front of the house. My old landlady, Ms. U, was walking up from the front of the house, on my right side. Ms. U still looked old, maybe in her late sixties. But she seemed to be in better shape, and to have a slightly smaller frame. She wore dark jeans and a dark green shirt, as if she were out gardening. I waved to Ms. U. She reluctantly waved at me. It was like she didn't really want to talk to me. I knew why. It was obvious to her, like it was to me, that I wasn't going to be able to pay my rent soon. She didn't want to talk to me because she was disappointed in me. Ms. U was now behind me. She met up with one of her friends. They were both going to walk down to the supermarket together. They were walking behind me. I turned right, as they did, and walked down the sidewalk, to the corner of the block. As I walked, I thought that maybe I would be able to pay my rent, after all. Maybe I would get a job. Then Ms. U wouldn't be so disappointed in me. So, if all that was going to happen, and I could believe it, why could't Ms. U? Why did Ms. U have to not talk to me? At the same time, I got the feeling that maybe Ms. U wasn't very disappointed in me. Maybe she would talk to me, if I'd just slow down and walk with Ms. U and her friend. The sidewalk was gone. But we weren't walking on the lawns of the front yards. We were walking on grass like grass that edges vacant lots. The grass was dry, tan, rough, and clumpy. There was a wooden fence to my right at one point. At another point there was at least one orange traffic cone. I kept feeling like I was going to lose my balance and fall into the road. Dream #2 I was sitting in a restaurant. My table was basically all by itself, in a space that looked like the hallway of a house. It was dark, lit by a dim, blue light, like candlelight in a blue, glass holder. My table was in a little, doorway like niche in the wall. I sat so I faced the restaurant's front door, which was barely visible to me from where I sat. I knew that there were a lot more tables in another room. The room was somewhere off to my right, i.e. down the hall, and around to the right through another hall. People kept coming by, apparently angry or jealous of me for having this table all to myself. Some of them started trying to do things like leave their stuff on my table. One person had a huge, black, wire-cart, like for laundry or groceries. She tried to slide it in between the unused chair of my table and the wall. I stood up and said, "Don't put your stuff in that space!" I moved the cart right out of the way. I may have stuck it in some dark corner just off from the niche I sat in. I decided that people were jealous of me because they thought I had this space all to myself. So I tried to make it look like I wasn't alone. I laid my bookbag and my jacket on the opposite seat, like somebody else was sitting there. I then pushed the seat far back, so that nobody would try to sit anything behind it. I also figured I'd act like I was waiting for someone to come back. Time passed. I was now being sternly lectured by a Meryl Streep-like business woman in a white blouse and long, beige skirt. The woman demanded to know why I had been away from my seat for so long. I vaguely remembered that I had had to go out the front door of the restaurant to help people who were loading something out of a semi-truck's trailer. It had, I remembered, seemed really important for me to have done this. If I had sat here instead of gone out to help, I suspected that this woman would have been yelling at me for that, instead. The woman told me, "Don't you know we have an important client coming to visit us today? How long were you runnning around outside? Do you even know? Even if it was just a few minutes, the client could have come inside while you were missing. He could be wandering around lost in the restaurant right now. And we wouldn't even know it!" Dream #3 I woke up. I pulled my blanket off of myself and looked at the upper right corner of my bed. My bedroom light was off, but my hall light was on, and it lit my room a bit. My blankets and sheets were brown. There was a fly crawling across the corner of my bed. This kind of disgusted me, as if it were a far worse insect than a fly. I brushed the fly off and started worrying about bugs. I stood up and walked down the hallway -- possibly (I'm not sure), because I heard a strange noise coming from my bathroom. I got to the bathroom. The lights were on and were really bright. The shower was running, which was odd in itself. But after a moment of focusing, I realized that the shower itself was acting weird. The water was rushing way stronger than usual, and the nozzle seemed to be spraying out in a few different, weird directions. I looked closer at the shower pipe. I now saw that it didn't even have a head! No wonder it was spraying all weird. I decided to shut off the shower water and figure out how to solve this problem. I turned off the water. But now there was a strange rumbling in the bathroom. The walls seemed to shake. Suddenly the portion of the wall just beside and below the shower pipe began spouting out water through little holes! The force of the water I'd shut off was so strong that it had burst through the wall in little, fountain-like holes! I stood back from this and watched it all. I knew that this kind of plumbing problem was much more than I by myself could handle. I'd have to call in my landlord. I really didn't want to have to call in my landlord. I knew he was already against me for a number of reasons. I didn't want him wandering through my house, peering aroud like he thought he'd find some sort of incriminating evidence about me. But I knew, regardless of the inconvenience to me, that I'd have to call the landlord. But now, suddenly, the wall over the side of my bathub also burst open with little fountains of water! These fountains of water were either bright pink or else left bright pink stains on the wall. The fountains of water were also more like jets -- they blasted in a flat, sideways pattern, along the wall, almost like sheets of water pouring down a sidewalk on a rainy day. And then all new things came out of the wall! I thought of these things as leaks and water. But they weren't water: they were steel. They were like surgery or dentistry implements, stainless steel devices, attached to steel cords, like the ringed cords on receivers for payphones. Some of these cord may have had robotic, or even white-gloved, hands attached to them, holding the implements. The number of cords, hands, and implements springing out of the wall seemed to be increasing and increasing, cluttering up the whole top of the wall. Dream #4 I was with a couple of men, one of whom may have been my brother. The other man was something like an ex-Marine. He was tall and muscular, slightly tanned, with blue eyes and pale-blonde hair in a buzz cut. We were in some kind of suburban area. It was possibly early morning, just before sunrise. We may have started out at a house or a small shop. We were loading things into a truck. These things were either items for security systems on houses, or else they were nuclear bombs. We drove in a pickup truck to some place. As we did, I thought about what we were doing. The man may have been talking to me about it as well. I knew we were definitely installing security systems on houses. But we also had nuclear missiles in our truck, and we were definitely concerned, in some way or another, with a slightly touchy situation regarding nuclear deterrence. We drove into and through a big parking lot, to a small, one-story building, possibly with white walls and a flat, steel-siding-like, blue roof. Somehow I now saw as if I were now twenty or thirty meters behind the truck. Missiles were being pulled out of the back of the truck. There were probably two missiles. I only saw their tail ends. They looked like the tail-end of an X-15 manned rocket, not a missile. I now stood just inside the building with the man. There were a few other people about, including a few little, Latino children, apparently. The inside of the building felt completely unused. There were no lights on, though there may have been some dusty office equipment. The front window may also not have had a glass pane in it. The man and I were talking (somehow -- telepathically?) about some woman who had had some sort of difficulty in her professional life. As we were talking about this, I kept hoping I'd just say the right thing. I felt like the military and government had me under suspicion. My appearance alone, I knew, marked me as suspicious. If I said the wrong thing, I'd be detained for sure. I wandered down a front deck and onto the parking lot, toward the Latino children. I was still "speaking" with the military man. The kids were looking at a hole in the parking lot. It was a rectangular hole, about three meters long and two meters wide. It seemed to go down a long way. As I looked into the hole, it began to appear as if it held something inside, like a gigantic birthday cake. The cake was covered in frosting that was colored with brilliant swirls of blue, turquoise, green, and white. Tropical fish, either plastic or sugar, also adorned the cake. I was now "speaking" to the military man about how the woman we had been discussing was probably suffering from an animus possession. She was letting the male side of herself dominate her personality. It was making her overly aggressive, so that nobody could work with her. As I "spoke" of this, it now became my task to scrape frosting off the cake. I was scraping huge, huge globs of solid green, solid blue, and solid white frosting off the cake. Occasionally I'd also scrape off a few fish. The scraped-off frosting all went into some deeper part of the pit. It was now like the cake was L-shaped, so that the upper left quadrant (as I faced it) of the rectangle was left free for this deep pit, this extra space for the frosting. But I noticed that as I scraped off the frosting, it became kind of mushy and unappealing. It still looked very sweet. But on the cake it had been firm, which would, I assumed, add to the pleasure of the taste. Off the cake it was just sickly sweet and mushy. I wondered why the frosting had to be scraped off the cake, anyway. Someone apparently thought there was excess frosting on the cake. But I didn't. I thought the frosting was good, and that there was just enough.
I woke up in middle of the night and figured to just go for it I flip onto my right side and start imagining a mall that was by my old house. when I got into the dream I found myself at a park by the same house and was truly amazed by the realness of everything I was experiencing. I sat at the park watching old acquaintances play basketball for awhile and then decide to go for a walk after seeing someone I don't particularly like playing. I walk through the field through scores of people playing catch and head for the jungle gym. I stay there for a bit and start feeling myself pull from the dream so I started to spin, this has been the first time this technique has stabilized the dream for me. I climb off the jungle gym and a dog approaches me, I walk to it and pet it feeling it's soft fur and smell it to the familiar sent of dirty dog. I decide to see just how real these dreams can get and I start searching my pockets for a knife, I couldn't find one but thought to myself there has to be one around so I turn around and see about 4 knifes on the ground next to me. I pick one up but don't particularly like it but suddenly about 10 more apeared on the ground before me and I swap it out. I start walking toward the street and stabbed the first person I saw in the throat, the knife felt some resistance but no mark was left on the dream character. I drop the knife and see a blond girl in a car and decide to give driving a try. when I approached the car she looks at me asking if I needed the car and I shook my head yes. She politely steps out and starts walking down the street while I hopped in and put it in drive and just take off. I speed like nothing could stop me but then my car randomly starts flying and I end up on a col de sac and hop out. I walk up to a door and ring the door bell to see the same blond open the door, she invites me in and I find myself in a house resembling my friend Brady's house. She walks away into a room and I decide to follow and when I get there the blond was now completely naked. She looks at me seeing I felt awkward but says don't be shy and hops into a bed that's near her. I ask her if she would change into my girlfriend and she looks as me as if there was more important business but does so anyway. I climb into bed and we start to do it but she starts talking to me, she tells me that he stole it and when I ask what she says the white diamond from when I was little the one I got from the boss. (While this makes no sense to me now I had a strong assurance I knew what she was talking about at the time). A man with black hair walks into the room and she says it's her brother and they start talking but I don't pay much attention. He then turned to me with a glare and says something along the line of "If you like tad-pulls named ted then it would seem we have you in our hand". I turn around and the woman now had black hair and looks shocked. Suddenly everybody in the room myself included turned into porcelain and we all shatter ending the dream.
I remember being in our school's gym. It was weird, because where our weight room used to be is where there were some flights of stairs that went up to very big suites. I "lived" in one of those suites while I was in the dream, but by myself. I was now sitting on the bleachers in the gym. For some reason, I was getting dressed. I had only my underwear on when a flood of people from my school came down the stairs. I quickly ran to the bleachers, covered myself up with my jacket and pants, and sat there. Everyone sat on the bleachers where I sat, but they didn't notice that I was unclothed. One of my coaches asked me from below, "Sydney, can you come do blah blah blah?" (can't remember what he said) I replied, "Um no. (Then I noticed it sounded rude) I'm about to leave." He nodded, and walked out the open gym doors. Oh yeah, as I looked outside from where I was sitting, there was no sun shining, it was just cloudy and bright. Most of the people were still sitting there from my school sitting on the bleachers with me. As I looked at all of them, I noticed they were wearing costumes. As if it was a special day and they had to dress up or something like that. A few seconds later, someone said, "Okay, lets go!" and jumped off of the bleachers. The others did so as well. As soon as the gym was empty, I slowly tried to pull the jacket around me and zip it up, but I noticed that it was already around me halfway zipped up, and that my pants were on. Confused, I zipped up the rest of my jacket and climbed down off the bleachers. I headed towards where the weight rooms used to be, and was welcomed by a huge "old Egyptian pyramid like" set of stairs. I sauntered up them, all the while looking around at the bright lights that looked like they were coming from nowhere. Once I reached the top, I saw two sets of stairs. Confused once again, I went to the left set to try first. Once I finished those, I looked to my right and found my suite! I entered and found my mom standing there. I have no idea why she was there, probably to welcome me or something. We looked around for a bit in the kitchen. Once we opened the fridge (or pantry, I'm not sure what it was), I was greeted by delicious delicacies. Or, what I thought was. I saw at the bottom a couple of candy bars. And maybe a coke or two. At the top, there was a small bag of Aerated Hershey Kisses, my favorite. I held them out to my mom, my face bright. She nodded and smiled. "Don't eat everything though," she said, "They might get angry." I didn't know what she meant by they, but I didn't care. I put the Kisses back into the fridge and closed it. I told my mom I would look around some more. She said okay, and went back downstairs to the gym. I remember searching my room, but finding nothing interesting (or I just couldn't remember it). For some reason, I ran out of the suite, maybe in an effort to catch my mom for something. Ran down the stairs without falling, and asking her something. Then I sped back up the stairs to the suite. Now I would check out another room. I always wanted to look at this room. It was full of cool things! When I first walked in, I was greeted to a rack of dolls. There was one doll that you could press on and it would make noise. This doll looked like a little boy. I pressed on his hand. He started singing a song, it sounded familiar, but only in the dream. He was singing a very hard song, and there was white noise behind it, so it sounded a little distorted. Once it finished, I looked around some more.
Carrie was talking to me about a song that I had made. She said it was good because it sounds like it's old and it's new at the same time. It sounded old, but not too old;and it sounded new, but not too new. It was a dark and cloudy day. There was a storm brewing. I remember seeing a spigot or a fire hydrant bursting and spraying water out all over the street. There was a bunch of people including my family and a bunch of old friends of mine all gathered together. It was my birthday, but for some reason I could not join in their celebrations. I was not welcome. I think it's because I had a nervous breakdown. But all these people were like, "Well, we're all here together. We may as well have a party." Across a pond or a bayou there was a tower, like a lighthouse. I had to go around this body of water to get to it. I climb up the stairs of the lighthouse and as I get to the top, Noelle is there and she's coming down the stairs in my direction. She's not happy to see me. Everybody there is there for my birthday, but none of them are glad to see me. I tell Noelle that I love her and she's just nodding her head like, "Yeah , I know." Now everybody there is at the top of the lighthouse too and they all turn to look at me. They all stare at me. It's almost as if they enjoy how uncomfortable and awkward the situation is and they're just staring. I was with my mom and we were watching a basketball tournament. I think we're at Jonathan's house. There are rows and rows of televisions and there's different basketball games on all of them. We're focusing on one game in particular. One of the teams is called Gainesville (instead of Florida) and the other team is some farmer team that grows tomatoes. The farmers are losing, but they're still playing really hard. They are the underdogs and they have this theme song. It's old music from the fifties, like doo-wop. They lose, but it's like Rocky or The Pistol. They're going to lose, but they're not going to stop trying. The game becomes water basketball and they're playing in a swimming pool. The game is now in black and white on the TV alongside all the other games.
I was in my room at night and became lucid. I flew through my window and did some flying tricks in front of my house. I swooped down and then rose with a corkscrew. I wound up in front of a mall. It was really dark, so I tried changing it to daytime, with no success. I reached my hand into the air and called out to the dragon, but he did not come. I thought I heard something, but there was nothing there. I went inside the mall. I flew around a bit, and just played with the dream world. A lady walked past, so I made her levitate. It made me laugh. I tried calling again, and turned around to see a white, yellow and red dragon sitting motionlessly on the tile floor. However, it seemed sort of fake. As I tried approaching it it disappeared. I continued on throughout the mall. I tried shapeshifting into a dragon myself. The attempted was kind of half hearted, I'm sure I could've done it if I tried a bit harder. I looked down and my hand and clenched my hand, trying to form a claw shape. I pictured scales. My palm looked a little strange, like when you put your arm on a screen door, then move away, but I decided to give up trying and explore. I was in a hall near the central area of the mall. There was a huge tv that was as tall as the room itself. I put my fingers out in front of me and made a motion, which shrunk the TV screen. I continued on and came to a store. I hurdled over racks of clothes with low gravity jumps. it was pretty fun, but I didn't even notice the dream fade away.
I was in a mall with my brother. We went into gamestop and played some kind of Scott pilgrim racing game. I was in a store kind of like a walmart. There was a slope to a garage underground where the karts were kept. My brother and big mike were there too. I got into a go kart and they shared one. We began to race on the trail throughout the store. We switched karts a few tines and had a few more races. Then we wound up going off the track and into the rest of the store. There was a shelf with plug and play NES games. Around the corner a man and his kids were looking at a bed.
Where in the (dream)world is Katsuno? I have a nice and smooth WILD at around 6am this morning. I can sense that I am not fully under so I just float up and down on my bed until I am fully under. I get out of bed, rub my hands together (they don't feel like they are fully there yet and feel like numb, tingly bits of limbs. I walk down my stairs and come to my front door so I try to walk through it -ow! hmm, I try it again - OWW! OK, perhaps I'll just do it the old fashioned way - I open the door with the handle and walk out into my street. The road is covered in thick snow. I walk further down the street and rub my hands together again - time for a portal. 'KATSUNO, KATSUNO' I start to chant and wave my arms about in a circular motion. I do this for a while until I release that nothing is happening - not even a spark, damn! So rather than waste more time on this I take off flying into the sky, superman style - I shoot forward real fast trying to get an idea of which direction to go into by trying to sense where Katsuno is. I have no idea, all the directions seem viable - perhaps I'm thinking too linear? After all there cannot really be a real three dimensional directional system as we know it in the real world right? Perhaps I'm thinking too much, for some reason I start to slow down and I take this as my cue to land. I find myself in a busy high street with shops all around me. I touch things as I walk, bits of fabric, the concrete ground - to keep myself lucid and prevent myself from waking. I need to find Katsuno! Where to go now? I think about a piece I was reading the day before about how the law of attraction works in dreams and how (quoted from the cusps's 'Nature of Dream Control' ) : 1. Everything in your dreams requires your attention to exist. 2. The more attention you give to one element, the more detail it creates in relation to what you are focused on. But for the life of me I can't think of what to focus on which would help to get me to Katsuno, I guess if it was something I wanted to manifest and create from my own subconscious then this method would be relevant, but I'm trying to find a real person! I walk into a shop and take a good look around, the shop is small and cramped but it seems to sell a bit of everything. Some (blue?) fabric at one end of the shop, some electronics in the middle. There is somebody, a man, waiting at the till - I go to ask him if he knows where Katsuno is - he just shakes his head to say no (I think, this part is a bit fuzzy) Then I think about trying to contact Kat via the internet, so I look around for a computer - but I cannot see any - and before I can do anything else I hear a sound in real life and it wakes me up. Maybe try a phone call next time? What do you think guys, what methods should I use to get in contact with you? False awakening I then 'wake up' and I tell my wife how I dream t it was snowing outside, but then when I pull back the curtains I find that it is a nice sunny day, not only that but I take a long look at the view - we live in a beautiful area (though it is exaggerated somewhat for the dream) I can see fields upon fields and new houses that look more like semi-transparent Eco friendly self-sufficient huts that people have started to live in. We then go out to walk outside and find ourselves in a massive stadium, it is the Olympic stadium, ready for the 2012 UK Olympics. It is very empty, save for some athletes who are practicing. I nearly get knocked over by two approaching runners , I need to step to one side to avoid the collision. I cannot remember the rest of the dream
Lucid Danny Phantom. I was new character, half ghost as well. Poor. Danny's sister bought me food. Oreos. Aware of unreaility but playing the part.

Colour Legenda: Setting| Technique used | Dream (lv1) | Dream (lv2) | Lucid Dream | Notes ************************************************** **************** First dream: I'm at work and they're passing my job on to my coworker. I can see his desk with my stuff on it, including my clothes XD Second dream: 2 Robots are interrogating a third robot, at my aunt and uncle's place (we talked about them at dinner IRL), taking the poor thing apart and reassembling just for torture purposes. I'm just watching this dream. The robot being tortured has red, muscle-like looking parts and limbs, connected by wires representing veins, i guess? I told someone on dreamviews.com yesterday, that robots are nightmare creatures for me. ..apparently not. And i *know* i had a third dream between these two but i can't remember it. Serves me right for being too lazy to blog it immediately >_<
Dec.4,2011. Today, I got up at 6:48am, WBTB at 7:48am. Don't recall much. I was at home in SK. There was an aquarium, I guess we neglected to take care of it, because when we discovered it much later, it was overgrown and there were some fantastic animals living it. Like two huge - 3 feet long millipedes, multicolored, beautifull, but they gave me creeps. All kinds of different lifeforms. It's funny, this is not a first dream I have had about overgrown aquarium.
I'm in my bed, in a carriage house I used to rent. It's broad daylight out but I'm super tired anyway. I hear this big commotion outside and I get out of bed to hear what's going on. I open my door to see my neighbours (owner of the main house) moving a bunch of furniture around. "Huh" I think to myself. "Wonder why they are moving stuff, that furniture looks so old yet expensive". I didn't check to see if they were moving in or out. I go to lay back down since I'm still really tired. After a few minutes of wondering why my neighbour has this big moving truck and a bunch of furniture, I start to hear someone playing a piano. It's not like whoever it was .. was playing an actual song or anything, more like an 8 year old kid banging on the keyboard thinking it's cool. So I get up and open the door again. As soon as I opened the door, the piano playing stopped. "Who's playin the damn piano?" I ask. "What piano. There's no piano here, you see, it's bedroom furniture." "But I swear to god someone was just playing a piano." "Nope, no piano playing here" "Alright", so I go back into my room. I'm sooo tired. I do one of those falling tree maneouvers and faceplant back into my bed. The second my head hits the pillow, the piano starts up again. "Who the HELL is playing that damned piano???". It was so loud, and obnoxious, and not really a song of any time, just random banging on the keys. I could handle it if it were something with substance, you know, something a REAL musician would play. I'm pissed off now, so I put on my clothes. "No rest for the wicked" I think to myself. I armed myself to the teeth with verbal ammunition. "Oh yeah", I think "Whoever is doing it's gonna get a piece of me that's for sure". But when I opened the door, there was no one there. Curious. How could a 5 tonne moving truck, loaded to the hilt with furniture, and all those people loading it, suddenly disappear in the 2 minutes it took me to land on my bed, get right back up and put on my clothes? Besides I didn't even hear the thing start up. "Something fishy is going on here". I leave my shack and walk around the backside, or what I thought was the trail leading to the back. Suddenly I slam into a big front door to this house that makes Elton John's estate look like a chump shack. "Um ok that's odd, suddenly a mansion appears where a trail is supposed to be" I think. Oh well, it felt normal, like the thing was supposed to be there. I didn't question it. I walk in. Behind me the door closes. *Click*. The lock sets itself in place. I didn't sign up to be trapped inside this huge house. But I couldn't open the front door and the door was made of heavy hardwood. It was a big door. Defeated I turn around to look at my surroundings. I'm standing in this room that has a huge table and chairs. A big brick fireplace lines the wall. There is a staircase going up on the left side of the room. An entranceway leads to another room to the far left. On the right side is a corridor that leads around the corner to which I couldn't see where it led. Looking down the middle of this big room, I see 2 more doors lining the right side, and another door on the left, just past the fireplace. It was dimly lit, almost by candle light. There wes rod iron lattice work all over the place. A huge chandelier hung above the table, filled with lit candles. "Ok," I think, "Now to find a way out of this place". I was marvelling at all the trinkets all over the place. The walls were maroon colour, kindof like a deep blood red. Go figure, the perfect colour for a haunted mansion! I can feel a presence in the house, one that is right close to me. I start to get a little antsy, as the hairs on the back of my neck stand up. You would think it would be nice and warm in there, since the people who were just outside loading furninuture into the disappearing 5 tonne moving van were wearing jeans and t-shirts. But no, I was freezing cold. It was definitely below zero, and I was trapped in this frost pocket. Strangely enough, there were no windows. The inside of the house flashes, and I hear something like thunder shaking the walls. "AHA," I thought, "there MUST be a window somewhere". So I start by going up the stairs. The top of the stairs led to another hallway, a long hallway, which seemed to have at least a dozen doors lining each side of the hall. I look to the end of the hallway and see a little table with a big plant pot sitting on it. There was no plant in it, but it was there anyway. But above that planter was a window. A small window. "Jackpot" I think. I start down the hallway towards this window. I can feel a breeze blowing on my neck, a cold one. I didn't think too much of it till I realized I was INSIDE, and where the hell would a breeze be coming from, INSIDE the house. I turn around. There's nothing there. "Hmmmm". I turn around again and walk up to the window. It felt like it took 5 minutes to walk down this 10 mile long hallway. Or at least it seemed that long. It was long. I get to the window. I try to open it. No, it was not the opening type. "Ok, if you're not gonna open for me, I'll smash you" I thought, but upon looking further, there were bars on the outside of this window. Great. I really am a prisoner in this freaky mansion, locked inside, with some *thing* breathing down my neck. Literally. I start to get goosebumps thinking about it. "Ok don't think about it". Then I hear it. It was a woman's voice, coming from one of the rooms. "Hello??" I call out. "Hellooooo" The voice gets quiet. I start walking back down the hallway and to the approximate door I think the sound is coming from. "Help!" I hear a muffled cry coming out from behind one of the doors. My heart stops, my breathing stops, and I'm scared shitless. "Help?" I think to myself, "Yeah I'm the one that needs the help dammit". "Help!" I hear it again. "Hello?" I cried out again. "In here! In here!" This woman started calling out to me. Then she started banging on the door of the room she was in. I walk up to the door I'm sure is making the noise. "Hello are you in there?" "Yes, yes I'm in here! Oh god please let me out!" I open the door. There is a lovely young lady standing there. She has fair, olive skin, long black, curly hair down to the small of her back. I guess you could say she was the epitome of beautiful. My heart went out to her. She was wearing a dress, she looked so beautiful standing there. I could tell the look on her eyes was total fear, probably the same way I looked at her. "Oh thank you so much! These doors only open from the outside!" "What??? Well how long have you been trapped here???" "Oh, well, that's a hard question to answer, you see, I'm not living" "Not living? Like, not living the life, or, morbidly dead?" "Um, more the morbid side of not alive". My heart stopped again. "Damn, if my heart stops one more time, ONE MORE TIME, I swear I will be in the morbid side of not living myself!" "O.. OK.. so.. You are a ghost?" "Well, not really a ghost either. Look, I died in this house. I know it well, many people have died here, you are the only one here that's alive." "What do you mean.. the only one.." "Well, besides me, there is one other that lives here, who trapped me in this room long ago. I have to show you how to get out of here, or he will get you too, come on, come with me!" I touched her. I just had to. My hand felt sweet, solid skin under my finger tips. She stopped to let me touch her. I ran my fingers through her long black hair, it felt so soft. I couldn't understand how someone who was "in the morbid side of not alive" could feel so wonderful. I took her in my arms and gave her a hug. She felt so good next to me. I put my hand on the back of her head and pressed her into me. Yes she felt very real, very nice and I felt an instant connection with her. She was a very special girl to me, to someone who was.. not a alive.. and someone.. or something.. who I had just met. She looked at me and smiled, gave out a little giggle, and said "Come on, you need to get out of here". "OK", I said "But first let me check the window in this room". "There's no way out of this room" "Well I see a window and.." I stepped to see the window. It had bars on it.. of course! Bars, dammit. I turned, but before my eyes set back on this beautiful woman I had just met, I saw something in a chair in the corner of the room. It was a dead body, full of cobwebs. It had obviously been there for a very long time. My heart skipped a beat. "Is.. is that.. is that..." "Yes, it's.. it's.. " "It's ok, I get it. Let's go.." We promptly left the room. "Is the whole place locked up.. or.. what?" "Yeah it is, if it wasn't, I would still be alive, although probably very old by now" "Oh.. shit.." I exclaimed. "Well, then I will take your word for it.. let's get the hell outta here." "Come," she said, taking my hand into hers. I couldn't believe this, whatever it was, felt so real, her hands so soft in mine, so elegant. Her fingernails were painted red, the same colour as her dress, almost the same colour as the rest of the house, for that matter. But she was gorgeous nonetheless, the dress suited her, her and her long black, curly hair, that faint olive skin. My god my heart went out to her. I wanted to get to know this majestic lady. But the living cannot mingle with the dead unfortunately, it's pretty hard to get settled down with a dead girl, get married, have kids, all that sort of thing. So I dropped my feelings for her and turned to the business side of getting the hell out of this freaky place. She led me back down the starcase and into the main room. Thunder and lightning struck again. For a place that had no windows, it sure lit up well in a thunder storm. I didn't understand it, but the lightning sparked a bit of panick on the girls face. "Oh my god", she said. "Um, come with me.. QUICKLY" She started to run. I could hear a voice coming from the main room that we were in. Then a slight, shadowy figure. The voice was faint at first, but gradually got louder, and louder, till the walls shook with this deep growl the thing was letting out. The girl let go of my hand and covered her ears and screamed. "NOOOO... NOOOO" she screamed. "JUST LEAVE US ALONE!!!!" "HAAAHAAAHAAA YOU WILL NEVER LEAVE! YOU ARE MINE, MINE FOREVER! HAAAAAAHHHH!!!" The shadowy figure took form. It wasn't as defined as the girl, it was simply an outline of a person, as a shadow takes form, on a cloudy day. But one thing did stand out, those red, red eyes. The eyes of a demon. "In here!" screamed the woman. The second door on the right, inside the main room, swung open. I stepped in, the.. thing.. following closely behind us. We got in just in the nick of time and slammed the door on the beast. "We are locked in now. He can't get us, and we can't get out. We are now stuck, but if you want to live as long as you can, you won't leave this room." "Ok, oh shit, well, what are we supposed to do then?" "I don't know", replied the woman. I started searching around the room. There was a small window high up just above a ledge. The room was quite tall, maybe 12 feet tall. I pulled up a chair and climbed up to see the window. It was barred from the outside. "THUMP" The door rang like a bell. "THUMP, THUMP". The thing was outside the room, trying to get in. I looked at the woman. She looked back at me, with those sweet eyes of hers. "He can't get in. He's just as trapped out there as we are in here" "Well there's got to be a way" I retorted. "I've looked all around this house and never found a way out. I died after 3 days of being here. There's nothing to eat, and nothing to drink. You are going to die in here, just the same way I did". But I couldn't accept that fact. I started searching around in the room. There was something different about the room. It was not like the rest of the house. It glowed like a golden lamp. There were carvings in the room, it was decorated much differently. It was warm and welcoming. I felt at peace. I continued to search the room, running my fingers along the walls, looking for something, anything that might help me out. That's when I felt it. It was a small bump in the wall, hardly detectable, but it was there. I pushed on the bump, and a panel on one of the walls opened up. There, sitting inside a display case, were two swords, one above the other. The blades were pointing the opposite directions. They seemed to be made of silver. They had not suffered carbonation as silver does, they were shiny. The hilts had engravements on them and they looked ancient, like they had been crafted by some ancient master swordsmith. I took them from the display case. "Well, look what I have here!" The woman looked at me. "You know, of all the time I've spent in this house, even in death, search for something that could help me, and of all the time I've spent in this very room, I had no idea those were even there!" "Well I found them, and now I have a way to kill this monster. I'm gonna kill that thing and get us out of here" "That sounds wonderful" she said. "I need to let my soul rest. I hate this place. I've been here for centuries" "Ok, so how do I open the door?" "I don't know," she said. I went up to the door, which was thumping quite regularly by now, but I had weapons now and my fear was gone. I was determined to not only get out but slay the demon. I noticed in the door there was a slot that somewhat matched the shape of the swords. I pushed the tip of the blade into the slot, and the door clicked open. The door swung slowly inward, and I stood there, face to face with the demon who had now taken a solid shape. When I saw his face, my fear came right back. The demon had red eyes. His face was like a skull, with huge spikes all across his mouth. There were no lips, or any flesh, just bone and a row of spikes for teeth. My mind couldn't help but feel that this thing was strangely familiar. "What are you gonna do with those things.. kill me?" "YOU'RE DAMN STRAIGHT!" I took a swing, then another. I should have cut the thing in half twice over, but the swords felt no resistance of flesh. It was as if I was swinging at nothing, slicing through thin air. "HAHAHAAAA!" The demon pushed me back into the room, still standing at the door. I stepped back up and took another swing. Again, I swung at air. Nothing solid at all. "There's nothing you can do. I'm more powerful than that, fool!" My heart began to sink as I started to realize the peril of my situation. That's when I began slicing wildly at the creature. As I was swinging I could see the swords going right through the creature, like swinging a sword through a puff of smoke. The creature became distorted wherever the swords went through. But my consistent swinging meant that he could not take a solid form as long as I was trying to slice at him which meant that as long as I kept attacking him, he couldn't hurt me. I pushed my way out of the room. Thunder and lightning were filling the main room with light and sound. Finally the thing disappeared for a moment and I knew I could make a run for the front door. I pushed the knob, wiggled it around, tried kicking the door down. It wouldn't budge. Then I felt the breathing on my neck. I got goosebumps up my back and I could feel the hairs of my neck standing on end. I turned around and I was face to face with the demon once more. I took a swing and then another. I skirted around it while I tried to keep it in shadow form, or smoke, or whatever you want to call something that isn't really there. A few times while I was swinging away the creature put it's arms up and blocked my strikes. There just wasn't anything I could seem to do to trap the thing, then my heart began to sink. I really was trapped, and there was no fighting the creature. I scrambled to get back in the room and close the door. I ran back in, closed the door behind me. The woman was standing against the wall right near the door. When I turned to look at her, she had this look on her face, that she was worried for me. I saw the sad look in her eyes. She knew there was no defeating this creature. She put her hand on my face. I reached up to feel that soft, silky, lovely, warm skin of hers. I closed my eyes and held on to that sweet hand of hers. The touch of her skin against mine was the only thing that kept me somewhat sane. Somehow, the sounds of the demon screaming on the other side of the door, the thumping, the thunder, it all seemed to blend into one sound. The piano playing. Everything seemed to sound like it was coming from underwater, it was all swirling together in one sound. I opened my eyes and the room started doing the same as the sound. It was all swirling together in a blurr of colour and shapes. The sound, the sight, it was like I was being sucked down a whirlpool. I then suddenly found myself standing at the front door of my home, looking at the people loading the 5 tonne moving van. They were loading a piano, and a little girl was sitting there playing as they loaded it. "Where ya been, you said you were gonna help us load this thing up eh?", said one of the movers. "Are you fucking kidding me...." I retorted. They all stopped and stood there, looking at me.
I am in a lecture theatre... and I walked down to the bottom. There is a professor getting ready for his lecture. For a moment I think its Simon G, well perhaps he is, but I can't tell for sure. When I am passing by, I look at his nose and it looks as if he had some disease on in. Its all brown and with a thick layer or sore skin as if he had some infection on it. I just keep walking. There is a stage behind and some door. I know the door goes outside, but I never went through. When I come to the door, it is actually a gate. This gate is made of several flat metal bars. As I come near it... it rotates on the top and it pulls the metal bars up. I look at it wit amazement. I don't understand how is that done. How could the metal bar "bend"?? I keep moving forward and backwards just to see how the gate opens and closes. I cannot figure it out, but its very cool. Then there is another one that separates the outside world with the University area. Next thing I now is that I am at a bank. It is Loyds. I want to open new account so I can get my phone insurance. I am standing in the middle and wait for someone to serve me. There is this cocky guy as an assistant and he seems little confused. Then he comes to me and I tell him about the account I want to open. He says that it is no problem and just to take a seat. So I do. He sits next to me. What strikes me is the way he sits. Balancing on the char with his legs spread, as if some teenager or so. I always pay attention to body language so no wonder this surprised me. I though to myself, that this is not very professional. Then I notice a woman, that is clearly a manager. I ask the guy what documents do I need, because I don't have anything on me really. He looks at the manager, then he says, that we see what can be done. Next I can hear some other customers that are opening new account, talking about address and postal code. I think, thats good, I can remember mine easily. And I do so. Then I am on my way back to the lecture and my phone rings. Its George. We chat for a while and he asks me if I go out, to Disco Hut with him. I don't understand as he is supposed to be in australia. He says that he is in Czech and whether I am coming soon too. We find out that he is staying only until 20/12 whereas I am coming back at 21/12... so its not gonna work out.
I want to show my friend Minda, where one underground bar is. We go through some basement. I remember maze of corridors and stairs. At one point I warn Minda to mind his head as the ceilings are tricky. He says "no worries" and as soon as he says that, he hits his head. He looks at a sign on the wall written on a piece of paper, warning about the ceiling, and wonders how come he did hit it anyway. Then we get to the actual bar. First there is a large room where some young people hang around. They seem like skingeads or so. Then the bar it is just one room, with a bar at the end. My friend Pavel O. is standing by the bar, already drunk as I can see and he is just pouring another big shot of clear, vodka like, alcohol in his mouth. I wave at him and he sees me and comes to me. We have a quick chat, as much as one can talk about with a drunk guy. Next, we are at the bar again and Pavel have some coins on the bar. I start counting the coins (not sure why). I can see 20p coins. I select them out and ad them all up in one pile. Then there are some £1 coins too... one or two actually. All in all it makes some £3 pounds or so. Then I ask how much is a beer and I am told, by the bartender that its £3.20. Pavel makes some gesture as if it doesn't matter, and orders another drink. Then it seems like I am in the bar again, but another occasion. I think I am there to observe aggressive behaviour and I am hoping that some fight will pick up. Suddenly I see some brown girl telling something to Pavel. He is well drunk now. It takes not time and he slaps her across her face. The slap is so hard that it turns the girl around. I am surprised as I didn't expect that. For some reason (as strange as it may be) I feel like no one can say anything as he didn't hit her, but just slapped her. I stand there expecting that people will react to this, but the buzz goes on as people mind their own business.... strange dream
I went to bed one night after ghostbusting (in real) and feeling very much like we had been followed back to our house. I don't know if you believe in the unnatural or not, but whatever it doesn't matter. To me it's real and I was definitely being persued by this spirit or whatever. So I fall asleep and soon after enter my dream state. I dream that I'm laying in bed, the same bed I'm sleeping in (in real) and I'm paralysed. I can't move. I'm laying on my back (in my dream) looking up at the ceiling wondering when I'm going to be able to move, when I hear this hard knocking sound down the hall, in the kitchen. I can feel my girlfriend beside me and she's sound asleep. The knocking sound gets louder and I hear a deep growl of a voice call my name and then laugh. I'm thinking holy shit this has GOT to be a dream. So sure enough I wake up out of the dream, to find myself back in my bed, laying in bed, wide awake wondering what the hell that was all about. Then suddenly I start to hear the knocking again.. and thumping.. this time it was in the attic. I hear heavy breathing and deep growling and sounds like footsteps right over top of my bed. I thought to myself, "Oh god I just woke up so it's real this time" and once again I find myself on my back, paralyzed, unable to move. My heart starts to race, as I question whether or not this is reality, and I wake up again. I find myself in my bed, laying on my side. This time I got up and went to the bathroom, in full confidence that I was really awake this time. No kiddin! really awake. So I finish doing my thing in the bathroom and I take one step outside the bathroom door. Suddenly everything is black, and I can see nothing. I can still feel what's around me, and everything is in place as it should be, just can't see. I feel something touch my back, something sharp. Something behind me. Something NOT VERY NICE. I wake up. So there I am, laying in my bed. What the HELL is going on here? Damn I really need to pee. I thought I just went? Oh man, that was a dream, I'm really awake this time. THUMP. Oh shit what was that? I start to hear the growls again. The footsteps. The thumping, all up in the attic. "HAHAHAHAHAH" .. oh god it's, he's, whateverit's, is laughing. And like that deep, evil, satanic laugh we have all come to love from the movies. Straight from a movie. Doesn't get anymore demonic than that .. right?? right???? Whatever it was stepped on the spot in the attic that was right above me. "Oh daaaavvveee" .. oh what??? oh what??? "heh heh heh.. you're gonna die dave.. gonne DIE..." .. This can't be real. can't be.. can't be real. WAKE.. UP... I find myself laying in my bed. OK.. is it gone.. am I AWAKE this time? Maybe I should pinch myself. OUCH yep.. that hurt. I'm awake. "HEH HEH HEH.. OH DAAAAAVVVEEE...." I look up. I'm laying in my bed, on my back, my girlfriend sleeping right next to me. FUCK ME I NEED TO PEE. I start to see this swirling, shadowy vortex open up in the ceiling. First the claws come out, then the hands. Then the arms. In the middle of this vortex I see blood red eyes. Yep the head is coming out. Oh god those teeth, look at those teeth! Wait those aren't teeth, more like a row of 6'' splinters you would pass for a mouth only a mother could love. OMG. "HAHAHAHAHA... HAHAHAHAHAHA...." The.. thing.. moves closer. and closer.. and closer. I can feel it's breath on my face. I can't move.. paralysed. Holy shit .... ok god.. if you are real.. SAVE ME. I wake up. My girlfriend is sleeping next to me. I'm laying on my side. Whew.. I'm FINALLY awake.. no shit this time. My heart is racing, I'm drenched in sweat. HOLY .. SHIT.. I need to take a pee. Nope.. there's no way I'm stepping one foot off this bed. I look out the bedroom door and it's black as black can be. I know 100% FOR SURE I'm awake this time. I squeeze up next to my girlfriend and hug her tight. I let out a whimper. She doesn't even budge. She's either dead asleep or simply ignoring me. Whatever, I will hold my bladder till tomorrow. I fall back asleep and dreamed of nothing till the morning came. Thank you, god
