    1. "You don't speak nicely" "We don't like your 'inuendos"

      DREAMNONDREAMSCENEDESCRIPTOINLUCID

In this dream, I start out in a theater, and am with two people I know for real. One person is about to go onstage to do a ballerina type performance. I was watching from kinda the backstage, side of the stage, but far enough away that no one in the audience could see me clearly. It was a decent sized theater. So, one of the people I was with went on stage to perform, she wasn't quite dressed for the part. She had this fancy gray tank top on, kinda like what ballerina's wear, but only the top part. She was wearing shorts on stage-she had no time to change. Her routine seemed simple to me, but nevertheless, she did pretty well. The crowd loved her, regardless of her outfit. Then I saw her and the other person I was with go backstage. I went there too.

Now, it doesn't really LOOK like we are back stage. We are in this large bedroom type thing, with a good dozen girls in it. There are many beds. The room looked drabby to me. I lay on the bed with the girl that didn't perform. I think she had some sheet of paper on her...She out of the blue mentioned how I don't speak very nicely...That hurt, because I speak quite nicely, I think. I think this happened because I like her and everything, but she just seems SO nice, and like a goody two shoes. I thought I kinda was, but multiply me by 5 .

This is kinda a different dream, but it is the same idea, unfortuanatly. I was in this bedroom with one of my friends IRL, and her best friend. My friend tells me how she doesn't like my 'inuendos'-I think that is what she called it...like, some of the ways that I say things. I don't swear or anything, so I wanted her to elaborate....I am quite confused, I think I talk just perfectly fine! They have this book with them about 'inuendos' . Like, a paragraph story as to how they're 'bad' and can be 'taken the wrong way'. Some of the things she mentioned is that I say 'heck', and 'hot'-the story for that one was a goat dying of heat on the sun . There were a couple others that I don't remember. Her friend said some of the things too (even though she doesn't really know me), but wasn't as nice about it. When I asked about the last one, I was getting teary-eyed, she hesitated in continuing, but I told her too. They have this chalkboard and start to do some math, adding and subracting, fractions...to see how much they liked me still! My friend was at 2, and her friend lower then that somewhere...I even saw as a joke 2 people wrote -2 and -3...some people I probably know IRL that used to tease me... That was when I was starting to think about writing into the magazine I read, Girl's Life, and ask them what was wrong with saying 'heck' and calling guys hot now and then .

      Finally, a lucid dream!

Started off with what seemed to be a nightmare, and was a tad shorter than I would have liked, but it ended quite interestingly enough .

Warning: dream ended up being pretty graphic, so be warned.

Started out with a few of my buddies sitting around talking about stuff that did not make any sense what-so-ever. We were all sitting in what looked like a run down hotel, door was wide open, as well as the windows. The windows reveals what looked like stairs going from the bottom of the hotel to the top, resembling metal stairs seen in NYC apartment buildings as a fire-escape. All of a sudden people break into the hotel, drawing automatic pistols, killing two of my friends. First thought was to run, and run as fast as I could. The remaining friend followed me out the door and we parted ways in separate directions.

I first ran through the open door, and jumped off the balcony onto a close rooftop of another building nearby. The killers kept close tail of me, following my lead off the balcony onto the roof. I continued off the edge of the roof, and hopped down on to the ground. Killers, still following my lead, closing in on me. When I hit the ground, I feel as though I am paralyzed, unable to move. I was laying next to a small children's pool it looked like. Several of the killers go to raise their automatic weapons to my face and are about to pull the trigger. The friend I parted ways earlier at the beginning of the chase all of a sudden grabbed one of the killers behind the neck in a choke-hold and looked at me and said "intense dream so far eh?"

I looked at a nearby sign by the pool I was laying next to and it proceeded to change every time I looked at it. I was dreaming! Now that I was awake I took a hold of the other killer's hand and ripped off his arm that had the gun in it. I then proceeded to transform painfully into a large timber wolf, as I do with nearly every LD. For some reason when I transformed in this dream, it hurt really bad. Usually the transformation in my dreams go by quite smoothly with little pain, however this was a different story. I felt my face painfully cracking and contorting outwards until it finally resembled a snout. Fur spread all over my body, and a feeling of intense goose-bumps covered my skin. My tail bone cracked and contorted as well. Sharp teeth sliced their way through my gums, at first with pain that mimicked shattering my teeth. Paws formed as each foot elongated, and my hands elongated and turned into paws as well.

After I was done changing, I looked at the man who stood under the control of my friend in form of a head lock. I sprinted and tackled the man by pouncing on to his chest. My friend, still holding the man down looked to me as though he knew what was about to happen. I decided to go ahead and finish off this nightmare with a bit of gore of my own, haha. Anyways, so I open my jaws up, and clench the killer's head in between my jaws. I proceeded to clench down as hard as I could onto the man's skull. After a few seconds, the man's skull gave in to the pressure, and I felt the cracking and breaking of it in between my jaws. That was then followed by warm blood filling up my mouth, and dripping down my throat. In a weird way, it actually sorta tasted good.

My friend then decided to follow my lead, and he ended up changing into a wolf after letting go of the killer's head who was now unrecognizable as a human being. Regarding the other killer with one arm, I don't know where he went. After that my lucidity sort of drifted off, and I was being controlled by my dreams once again. The rest of the dream involved me and my friend running off into the woods as wolves, then I suddenly woke up!

    3. Childhood Nightmare

      by , 06-27-2010 at 04:58 PM
This dream happened when I was a very young child and twice: in one nightmare I was walking home with my Mom from the GO train (train that goes into Toronto in in Ontario, Canada ) station ( I didn't see the train or the station it self I just know that what we were heading from ) over top of the highway "bridge" and its was peaceful until a car with headlights on comes onto the sidewalk (I mean literally) and starts chasing mom and me on the sidewalk (thats when I woke up)

in the second dream same thing happened but we were closer to home this time on the 3rd main street in my town.

it was very vivid that I can remember like it was yesterday

      Dog Attack (Non-lucid)

      NON-DREAM DREAM LUCID

I was on top of a grassy hill in a public park with a fitness trainer. Apparently I was too fat, and needed to lose weight, so we had brought my dog with us for a run. I should have realised this was a dream, if anything I need to fatten up! We were taking a rest of top of this hill, and I commented on how peaceful it was with no-one around.
"Usually this park is swarming with dogs," I said. Not ten seconds later, four sheep dogs, a rottweiler and numerous other breeds I didn't recognise came out of the trees at the bottom of the hill. I got up to put my dog on the lead, in case he got into a fight with another dog. I couldn't catch him, and as usual, he ran straight over to the other dogs to say hello. He's big, friendly and stupid, my dog, but unfortunately not all other dogs are the same. Two of them attacked him, and I ran over to try and pull them off. I was annoyed at myself for taking off my socks and shoes, because one dog kept biting my feet. I had to punch one dog in the head to get it off. Another one tried to bite my dog's ear off.
I woke up with my heart pounding!

      Mutilation (Non-lucid)

      NON-DREAM DREAM LUCID

Tons of dreams last night, absolutely tons. Can't remember them though! Bollocks. Got one fragment which is truly fucked up!

I was tied down with two other people on the floor of a hotel room. We were being held prisoner by some kind of psycho killer who was into mutilating his victims before finishing them off. I was in the middle of the two other people, one was a girl and the other was a guy. I won't go into details, cuz it's a bit sick, but none of us had a lot of skin left after 15 minutes! No pain or blood though!

We eventually escaped and ran downstairs and outside. I realised I was missing one of my front teeth. The lack of that tooth was making the one beside it loose too, for some reason. I was pretty raging about losing that tooth. Apparently I had suffered no lasting damage from the skinning.
      Weeeeeiiirrrd shit.

I had three or four epically long dreams last night, which I don't know if I can be bothered typing up. It would literally take about two hours!
      (All non-lucids)
In case I decide to later, here's some reminders for myself...

Dream 1: Invited to special screening of a movie. The host planned to kill everybody once inside, so I skipped it. Persued by host, lost him. Big entertainment centre on a hill above a town. I explore with some friends. Host tries to gas us with dog fart.

Dream 2: I'm part of an excavation team in Egypt. Dug up a big monument. At sunset, the light shines over the hill in such a way it makes thousands of stones sparkle. V. spectacular. Hop on a boat shaped like a hot dog to other monument. Rest of the team gets on other boats. Everybody gets lost.

Dream 3: Evil Santa invades supermarket, captures somebody and flies away. Me and a few others fly out through the roof after him, all the way to NYC. I have to hold on to two other people flying because I'm scared of heights. We "borrow" a disused mansion on the outskirts which belonged to some distinguised family. We somehow become like the Addams Family. Sort of ghostly/paranormal traits. Government tries to hunt us down, so we take control of the bodies of a random couple and walk into town. Nearly get run over by a tank.

Dream 4: (Fragment) My old neighborhood became a huge hill. I flew in standing position down to the bottom, where a weird cat woman was waiting.

Held Prisoner in my Own Mind (DILD)

      NON-DREAM DREAM LUCID

So far in my lucidity-chasing, all my dreams have been quite light-hearted affairs, and I haven't had a nightmare in about four years. This one was different. I was actually trapped in a scary situation, with the full knowledge that I was dreaming, wanting to wake up.

A bit of background. I'm hungover to the max today. Last night's binge would account for the tiredness and massive REM rebound I got as soon as I went to sleep in the evening. I was also maybe not in the most positive frame of mind, which could have been a factor in all this.

I was sitting on a farm talking to my brothers. I saw smoke rising in the distance. After a while I could see flames. The fire was getting very high, and soon after, fire engines pulled up near me. I noticed one of the firefighters was my friend's dad, who I haven't seen for years. My mum pulled up, driving a minivan, packed with people I knew. She said everybody was going to visit somebody who lived near where the inferno was, to make sure she was ok. I got in too, and we drove off. The car was packed out with people, and it was a bit of a tight squeeze, but there were enough seats.

Instead of driving towards the fire, which was up the hill a bit, we drove downhill, and ended up at a beach. My mum tried to drive up a sand dune unsuccessfully. Next thing I knew, I was out of the car, standing in the middle of the beach. The sun was setting, and the waves were quite high, but very far away. There was a vast expanse of flat beach between me and the water. I turned round to walk up the beach, but out of the corner of my eye I saw movement. A single wave, about 2 feet high was sweeping silently (and very quickly) up the beach towards me. I tried to outrun it, but it got me. It soaked my phone in my pocket.
I recognised the dream sign, and became lucid. I marvelled at how real my cold and wet clothes felt now that the water had receeded. I then had the desire to get off the beach. There was something eerie about standing alone in the middle of such an enormous wide open space in semi-darkness. I'm not agoraphobic in real life, but something wasn't quite right here. I tried to run up to the top of the beach, but I realised I was running but not actually getting anywhere. This was a bit scary, and I just wanted to wake up.

Then I had a false awakening. I was in my bed, and actually thought I had woken up. I was like, "Thank god that's over!" I looked down at my left hand and saw that it was glowing a purply-pink colour. "Shit," I thought. I got out of bed and wandered around to see where I was. I was in what looked like a big hotel room. Except there were no doors or windows, and the walls and floor were made of wood. There wasn't much light, but I could see black square panels around the room. I got a bit closer, and saw that they were holographic pictures. As in, if you moved, the picture changed. What was on them was pictures of my friends' heads. Their heads weren't quite solid, they were grey on a black background. As I moved across the room, they appeared to be shouting something at me quite desperately. I really didn't like this scenario at all. I went to look in a mirror out of curiosity. I was wearing my dressing gown in the mirror, and my hair was a lot shorter than it is now.

I then had another false awakening. I looked at my hand, which had an indeterminate number of fingers. I was getting a bit worried now. I got out of bed and walked out into the room. There was some sort of gameshow going on in the middle. I didn't want to take part, but the host forced me to.

Then I had ANOTHER false awakening. I was really relieved because I thought it was for real this time. I looked at my hand, and it didn't even look like a hand. This time, when I realised I was still dreaming, the music from The Twilight Zone played.

      Listen to this shit...

This freaked me right out, and I started shouting things like "Wake up!" and just screaming in general. No such luck.

Yet another FA. This time I was in my own room, trapped in my bed and unable to move. I could hear my mum outside the door. I yelled, "Wake me up! Get in here and wake me up!" She never did come in, and the Twilight Zone music played again.

Another one. I was back in the windowless hotel room. There were two guys doing some measuring. I said, "Fuck this, I'm not playing the game any more," and decided to kill myself. Handily enough, a noose was hanging from the celing. I stood on a desk and put it round my neck.
Yep, it's getting a bit heavy! As soon as I jumped off, the scene went into reverse. Everything literally rewound around me, and there was even a "rewinding" indicator at the bottom of my view.

I had, maybe 15 false awakenings, and each time my hand was different. The Twilight Zone music played every time I looked at it. One time it was fat, then the hand of an old man, flashing psychadelically, missing altogether... the list goes on. One time it looked normal until I realised I was actually missing a finger. There was a stump. I nearly shat myself at the music that time. I became increasingly desperate, and even tried holding my breath, in case that meant I was actually holding my breath in real life, and I might wake myself up by nearly suffocating. It didn't work.

Eventually, of course, I did wake up, only 2 or 3 hours after I went to bed. I very reluctantly checked my hand and it was fine. I ran straight out of my room and downstairs. I'm totally exhausted now, and maybe a bit afraid to go back to sleep! Also, still enormously hung over and it's killing me. I really hope I never have a repeat of that episode. Like being stuck in the matrix and not being able to find a fucking phone!

EDIT: Had about 5 DILDs after that last night but each one of them caused a knee-jerk reaction of waking up instantly!

      The FACE (Non-lucid)

      NON-DREAM DREAM LUCID

This was the creepy result of a false awakening and the position of a certain painting in my room.
There is a painting of a cow on the wall opposite my bed, so I can see it when I lie on my back. This invaded my dreams.

I had a false awakening in my own bed, and I looked at the wall opposite me. I saw that the painting on my wall was not a cow as I had always imagined, but a face in disguise. When I looked at the painting when I woke up, in semi-darkness, I could see where it might me mistaken for a scary face. In the light it's just a cow, and I can no longer make out a face other than the cow's. The face had come halfway out of the painting- its nose was about 3 inches from the canvas. It looked a bit like this, only scowling more.

Even worse, it was alive. I was lying in bed and it started insulting me, telling me it had been watching me ever since the painting had been put there (over a year). It then proceeded to list off all my worst fears and telling me they were true, and laughing at me. It had a posh but gravelly English accent and a wheezy laugh/cackle.

It was truly hideous. I decided enough was enough, I'm going to burn it. I knew there was a fire in the fireplace downstairs at the minute and I planned to stuff the painting in it. To shut him up I wrapped a brown towel round the whole painting and held his face to my chest. I was kind of worried about him biting me.

Then I had another false awakening! This time the painting was actually of the pokemon Venonat.

Attack of the Giant Hand (DILD)

      NON-DREAM DREAM LUCID

I was the character of Chev Chelios from the "Crank" movies. I was in a car chase- I was doing the chasing. Some woman was talking to me in an earpiece I was wearing, telling me where to go. I reached a huge spaghetti juntion, and the car I was chasing sped off up a ramp, which had a barrier put in front of it immediately, preventing me from going that way. The voice in my ear told me to keep following the road I was on; it would lead me to the same junction as the other car was approaching from a different direction.

As I got closer to this junction, I
began to question my driving skills. In real life, I can't drive, and I quickly lost confidence in my ability. It was the fact that I was driving which slowly brought me to lucidity. (Becoming lucid in this case was not as immediate as the colour change implies!)

I discovered that I could have fun driving, and totally forgot about the people I was chasing. I weaved between lanes, pissing off other drivers, and had several near-misses. Before long, it was getting dark and I was driving in countryside. There was a narrow bridge going over a river that my car could just about fit over (turns out it was a 4x4), and I put the boot down to fly over it. As, I landed, I saw a white van pulling out of a field to my right, and I had to swerve dangerously to miss it. I ended up flipping the car into a field on the left. It landed upright however, and undamaged. By some miracle it stopped just before hitting a caravan which was parked beside me. I was a bit shaken, and decided to take a rest in the back seat. It was now night time.

I happened to glance out the left window, and saw a horrifying sight. It was a giant, disembodied hand, crawling over the top of the caravan. It was like a giant (non-green) version of the hand from the Addams Family. It was scuttling about like a huge spider, then it made right for me. I was shit scared, and although I knew I could make it disappear if I wanted, it seemed like less effort to force myself awake.
For half a second, I could see the spider-hand on the car window "overlaid" on my duvet. Kinda weird.

I was standing around a two pools. Then, It looked like a 2D video game. I had 2 net guns and a mirror. (They did not replenish themselves though. ) I had to defeat a shark. I used a net gun to make it disappear. Then, there were two sharks. I used the net gun on one to make it disappear. The other one was chasing me and i had a wall around me. I was going on land. I went on top of the mirror. It was very close to getting me. Then, the mirror started spinning really fast and hit the shark in the nose. Then, more sharks came out and got me. I got this big GAME OVER messaged flashed at me before waking up.
    11. hubbie's dreams

      by , 06-26-2010 at 12:20 PM
I could get used to snoring, or sleeping next to my husband would be impossible. What I can't get used to is the violent dreams he's been having for months. He isn't having complete sleep paralysis during these dreams, so he's kicking, running, and a occasionally punching in his sleep next to me. I'm no stranger to lucid dreaming, actively controlling dreams I don't like, and keeping sketch pad full of drawings based on dream images. My husband on the other hand can rarely remember even tiny fragments of his dreams, has only achieved lucidity a couple of times in his life, and has no control over his dream content.
All I know is that there's a waterfall in a tropical setting, and he's on a mission with a team of elite female soldiers who use psychic powers and weapons like the blasters in Star Wars. He's female too. It's some planet other than Earth and the local culture is in the middle of a civil war. The team gets ambushed and most of them die.
He's a big strong guy, and his acting out this dream while he's in bed next to me is a bit of a problem. It's hard for me to sleep when I'm constantly watching out to avoid getting kicked. Thank goodness he always rolls to his left before punching and I sleep to his right. Oddly, he's left handed and has been punching with his right while guarding with his left during the dream. I would expect him to do the reverse.
      Advice welcome.

    12. Yucky Dream

      by , 06-25-2010 at 02:18 PM (xFaithfully's Dream Journeys)
      June 24-25, 2010.

I had a dream that I was inside my mother's house. I thin there was a guy and a girl in the bed in my brother's room. I went to do something, and then a few minutes later he was on our living room couch moaning, I think he was with a doctor. So I went and asked the girl what happened. This is what she said:

"I was laying at his feet. (And then she said something about a broken leg, like she rolled over it) Then he had fallen off of the balcony...and his arm had fallen off."

      Then I woke up.
    13. My Scary Demon Dream

      by , 06-25-2010 at 02:05 PM (xFaithfully's Dream Journeys)
      June 21-22, 2010.

My little brother had died for an unknown cause. He came back to life as a demon, I think. My dad, and I'm not sure if the rest of us were there, but I was there too.
I would say to my little brother, "It's okay, it's okay." while backing up and crying.
(I was really scared) His face would turn a deep dark red and he'd start running toward me. My dad stopped him somehow. He then disappeared or something, because he was all around us. This guy was there to help us out I think. There was fire everywhere. He had this contraption mind control thing, it almost looked like a toy. He pressed the button and fell to the ground. His head started shrinking. I was gasping in horror. (What the toy thing did was transform you into a cat and leave your body there, almost like Avatar, except your a cat) I knew that Tom was out to get me, so I quickly pressed the button. I then felt my head shrinking, like a swirling sensation. My image went black, but I appeared as an orange shorthaired cat, and I could feel I had a tail. I think the other guy, which was a cat, told me to do something, but I can't remember what we did. I think I then woke up.

    14. *possible trigger for abuse*

      by , 06-24-2010 at 06:04 PM
This is the first of two dreams that I remember from last night. The first was lucid and the second was not. I forgot the second while writing down the second. (Woke up to Caramelldansen stuck in my head. lol)

Here's a bit of a back story. I have four younger siblings who live with just my mother at the moment. I'm away at college and haven't been back for a bit over a year now. My siblings and I have been abused since before I can remember by my mother and her boyfriend. (He got kicked out. He's never abused her, and I think he did recently. He's done a lot, and I think that's the only thing that would make my mother kick him out.)

The dream took place mostly in hallways. My sister (who is the second oldest still living with my mother) was getting hit. Then, my mother put this yellow mesh dress over her clothes. (I have no idea why, because it doesn't relate to the dream otherwise.) I kept going out and coming back in. Every time I went out, I tried to get other people to help, but I couldn't talk. Then, I was sitting on this really big, hard-wood, sturdily built table. (In real life, I don't think I could get it to move an inch by myself.) I got in trouble for sitting on it. My mother was yelling at me and about to hit me. (There was no sound at all during the entire dream for some reason.) I got my sister to stand behind me, and I picked up the table to use as a shield. Someone was walking by, and I managed to yell for help after a few tries. I realized it was a dream somewhere around the time I was lifting the table easily and when I could speak. I was able to speak and hear sound for the first time when I realized I was dreaming.

      NON-DREAM DREAM LUCID

      There's that familiar transition.

I open my eyes. Cold white light is streaming in from my bedroom window, as the thin brown curtains fail to do their job. Lifting myself out of bed, I notice something odd on the ceiling. The shadows on the dirty eggshell-colored drywall. . . They're moving! At that revelation, the shadows--an Aztec-esque shaman and a blocky curled snaked--broke themselves off from the wall, joined together into one formless mass, and shot out into the hallway.

      Weird.

Making my way through the house, toward the front door, I wonder what that was all about. Closing my hand around the gold painted doorknob, I open the large metal door before me, revealing my sun-soaked court. But something is off with the lighting. Everything seems. . . lifeless. It's as if all warmth had left my neighborhood long ago. I didn't know what to make of it.

Lifting myself off the ground, I fly to the center of my court, contemplating what I want to accomplish. With no goals lined up, I figure I'll just try to crash someone's dream world. That's when I hear it. A visceral scream tears through my court, originating from a neighbor's house across the ways. Turning my head, I look just in time to see the woman who had screamed smash against her front window. As she drops out of sight, I know behind that blood drenched glass lurks the Monster from before.

Reaching out with my TK, I try to pull it from the house, but I can't get a lock. Yet, despite my failure, the Shadow Monster doesn't take long to exit the house of its own accord. Smoothly flowing through the air above me, it pay me no mind as it makes its way back toward my residence. Like hell I'm letting that slide. Let's see how this thing likes a little bit of pure energy blasted through its core.

Taking a stance, I position my hands by my side, preparing to let loose a Kamehameha Wave. Not wanting to tip it off, I say the chant internally, feeling the charge building between my hands. Unfortunately, when I go to release it all in a throat wrenching shout, nothing happens. The Shadow Monster stops dead in its tracks, and speedily reverses direction, darting straight at me. Fully enveloping me in darkness, I realize there's nothing I can do to this. . . thing. Panic washes over me, but before everything fades to black I let loose a piercing cry for assistance that echoes not just through my city, but around the world and, I can't help but think, beyond.

No one came to my aid.
