    1. Arabian Nights

by , 10-11-2010 at 05:45 PM (Tales from the sun chaser.)
I'm at a desert palace, and I'm strapping a knife and sheath on my right leg. Once I get it fixed, I started searching around for treasure. There was a pool that had gold pieces scattered throughout that I almost jumped in. At the last second I noticed it had crocodiles in it. They had a random pattern to them, and I got the hell away from the water. I asked this old guy who was near me about them, and he said they were mechanical. Then he went on talking about all this other stuff I didn't care for.

    2. The light fixture is very definitely round, and now... now it's square... I'm dreaming!

by , 10-11-2010 at 05:22 PM (The Lab Notebook)
Awake, Non-lucid, Lucid, [Commentary made while awake]

When my 6:30 alarm went off this morning, I was still sleepy, despite having gone to bed just after 10, and I felt somehow sure that I'd have at least one dream that I remembered if I slept in for another hour, so I reset the alarm for 7:30. Luckily, before I fell asleep again, I remembered that REM cycles take 90 minutes, so I reset it again for 8:00. [I'm not entirely sure in what order I had the following dreams, nor am I sure whether the first one took place before or after the 6:30 alarm, but here they all are.]

I open my eyes in my bedroom and immediately notice that the light fixture in the center of the ceiling has a square cover over the lightbulb, like the light over the shower in my real bathroom, not a round cover like it does in my real bedroom. I say right out loud, “That light is wrong, so I must be dreaming! HELLS TO THE YEAH!” I get out of bed, but then stand just inside the door for a few moments, trying to figure out whether or not I can still breathe through my nose while pinching it shut. It seems I can, but only a little bit. Confused, I give up trying to figure it out and leave the room to say good morning to my mom. She's there, just like normal. I go back in my room and, still hopeful that this might still be a dream, try to walk through one of the walls. Again, it doesn't work; the wall and I are completely solid to each other.

The Dream King is talking to me. [Not the one from The Sandman; it's the gryphon from the Rankin-Bass version of “Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer.”] He says something along the lines of, “When you summoned us for fun times earlier, you bounced and lay down. The next time you do it, could you lay on your back first so the palace doesn't get shaken around?”

I'm in a park somewhere with P. We have to go through it to get home. There are all these dogs running around, and she protects me from them just by knowing how to act confidently and politely toward them. At some point, we end up riding bareback on a horse through the park. I can feel the horse's hair. Eventually we get to an escalator and start riding up it (yes, still on our horse). It goes up into an enclosed chamber with animatronic figurines in it, designed to look like the riders of the escalator are coming out of the mouth of some giant creature. There is some kind of audio narration playing, thanking us for visiting this attraction. When we get to the top of the escalator and exit the chamber, we're on a street.

The 8:00 alarm went off for real, and I recalled all of the above. I went out of my room and talked to my mom.
Me: I just had a really confusing dream. Is this the first time I've come out to say hi to you this morning, or the second?
      Mom: The first.
Me: I thought so. That's what I dreamed about.
After I'd confirmed it, I started feeling happy and proud about having another lucid dream.

      -------------

      Meta-commentary:

The WBTB+MILD technique seems to be working well for me, at least giving me interesting dreams with good recall, if not consistently giving me lucid dreams. I've found something that works for me, though, so I'm going to keep it up. I was making the effort with my MILDing again last night, but I could be putting even more effort into it. Also, I had my cardboard-square bracelet on for most of the night, but I think I took it off when the 6:30 alarm went off because I was tired of wearing it. I'm not sure, though, so I can't say whether or not I was wearing it when I had my lucid dream. Finally, I shall have to remember not to rely on the nose-pinch RC so much; it served to confuse the issue rather than to clarify it. Next time, I'll try the finger-counting method.
    3. Wishbone disappers/Joe Talbot kidnapped & Hypnotize

      by , 10-11-2010 at 04:57 PM
Its starts with Wishbone walking around Oakville. He got picked up my someone who WASN'T a dog catcher. Latter that day when Joe came home. He discovered that Wishbone was missing. And with David and Sam's help all they discover is Wishbone's collar (and that was AFTER they had checked the Shelter 2x). When Joe came home, he ate some new cereal he got (despite the fact he had several open cereal boxes in the cupboard). Than he wanted to head out the door again. When Joe was outside and near a truck, he got inside. The next day Ellen notices her son hadn't come back last night. SO Sam &David go over to the Talbot's house and when Ellen is cooking pizza, David&Sam talk and they said they saw someone on the other side of town who had Joe's build all they heard was something about a cave and meeting someone there. Ellen really doesn't want them to "tackle" this problem alone-but she does tell them to be careful.

In the next scene we see Sam and David hanging upside down in a cave. They hear talking and they recognized Joe's voice but they also notice its more "flat" or not-normal (and that's has nothing to do with the helmet he's wearing). and they see him take a bag (that was moving a lot). In the next scene we see him on the steps of some fancy building trying to sell puppies. Sam&David calls to his name when he's on the steps and he takes the puppy back. And there was a bit of a chase scene since Joe want though a soccer game (accidentally scoring), interrupting a American Football game and came to his senses when he got to a playground and took off his helmet. After this everyone is back home.

    4. PLEE Day 7

      by , 10-11-2010 at 04:11 PM
I dreamt I was in a parking lot helping people unload some sort of work vehicle. Once we were finished, I went into a car and started masturbating for some reason. I wasn't finished when I was asked to help with the last of the objects left on the lift. After, we started smoking marijuana mixed with cocaine, which sounds in hindsight like a terrible idea. It sped the dream up and then I woke to my alarm.

In another dream, I was with my ex. I remember being split up with her in the dream, but for some reason, we were fooling around. We were trying to avoid her ex from noticing. After I finish pleasing her, she starts to work on me, but I wake before anything happens. At least I was gentlemenly even in my dreams.

    6. Wave 65: Bus ride, MTG, belly buttons and more!

      by , 10-11-2010 at 03:00 PM (The Meerkat's Lair)
Dream 1: My sister is going on the bus. However, my mom decided to go inside for no obvious reason. Later, she asks me to join and I do. From afar, I see kids my sisters age that look a little familiar. Once the work is done (?), I ask the bus driver to drop us at the next corner.

Dream 2: My mom bought me Magic the Gathering cards even though I stopped playing for like a year now. She gave some to my dad aswell, but my father doesnt like them. The deck is full of Land cards with the symbols from pokemon.

Dream 3: In a pretty short dream, I see Cameron and Mitchell from Modern Family.

Dream 4: Me and my handicapped friend go to school. He asks me to do an image of a belly button for when he comes back from school. At his return, I have about ten, but he doesnt like any of them.

    7. Odd Vampires

by , 10-11-2010 at 02:01 PM (Images In The Night)
Ok so i took a 100mg of b6 last night and tried to wild. I failed the wild again, but i made progress. I hit SP in like 10 minutes. I just need a mask for my eyes because they keep opening up. Anyway heres my dreams.

      Vividness-7

There is a ritual in my elementary school where vampires spread some blood on the floor and then kill a whole bunch of people in the room. I'm a vampire in this btw. There is usually 15 people and around 10 vampires. We are about to start the ritual again when morality hits me. I think that this is insane. Why are we doing this to innocent people. I continue along with the ritual. Everyone puts blood into this guys hands. He puts it into the middle of the room. I then walk to the blood. Then unritualisticly, i throw the blood to the other side of the room. The vampires swarm around it trying to get a taste. I tell the rest of the people, some of which are friends to stab them in the back of the head. A vamp tackles my friend. He has a pen in his hand and stabs his back neck. The vamp glows gold then disintegrates into nothing. The people in the room rush the vamps killing them, then leave the gym. I walk out and along the way hear from my old boss something along the lines of," why would you betray us". I say back,"because two of those people were my friends. I can't do this anymore".

Heres another dream. This one is just odd to me.

I'm somewhere either at a parking lot at school, or at mcdonalds. I pull out my laptop and this girl walks up. She's pregnant. I know her from school, and she already had a kid, and really was a MILF. But she walks up and says hi. Then implies that we are dating and have been for a while. I just go with the flow and say yaaa, sure. Someone walks up with a friend who starts talking to her. The other person leans in to me and says you know shes in her second trimester. I go ya, sure.

I'm hangin with my friend and his brothers in a car. He is rolling a joint. I mess around and put half the weed in a bag in my mouth. For the rest of the dream i'm spitting up weed in large amounts. It tasted odd.

My friend is watching some sort of weird porn. I tell him to turn it off. He can't even see it because its on a wall behind him. After a while he wants to play some Company of Heroes. I say sure but don't really feel like playing.

    8. Awesome nightmare

by , 10-11-2010 at 01:06 PM (Nom nom nom, Mmmattelicious...)
      NON-DREAM DREAM LUCID

Good morning! I meditated for twenty minutes before bed last night, and it felt great! I focused on my breathing and tried stimulating the "chakra pathways" a bit. I don't want to start storing energy before I'm fully "warmed up" yet. Anyways I also took some B6 and omega-3 just before bed. Two hours later I woke up from one of the worst nightmares I have ever had in my life.

      2.14: My nightmare
I don't know where I am, but I cannot move. I get these flashes of raw emotions from every direction and from what I can make out, I'm lying in a bathtub and I'm dying. The sheer terror of it all makes me scream at the top of my lungs and my voice amplifies tenfold by the bathroom walls. I black out...

I wake up a few moments later and the same thing is happening. I notice the bathtub is filled with money and there's a shotgun nearby. I still can't move and it's all very frightening. I black out again...

I don't know how many times this happened or for how long, but it went on for a LONG time. When I finally wake up and could move again, I was exhausted. The shotgun is still there I notice but it's not a normal shotgun. "It makes your memories go away. You won't die if you shoot yourself in the head with it" I think. I decide to leave it where it is, and I send a text message to my friend Jonas. I check the time: 22.00. "Damn, I've been sleeping for like 24 hours" I say to try to stabilize myself. I am still very groggy and I fear I will go back to that horrible state. I call my mom on the phone and she answers. I tell her what happened and expect some sympathy. "Oh well, you continue sitting by the computer!" she tells me like it's the computer's fault. I wake up.

      4.00: Fragment
*I'm drinking different kinds of whiskey with my sisters and my brother. We're measuring the liquid with large syringes.

      7.30: Fragment
*Something about outdated milk-based drinks. There's fudge, strawberry and something else. Only one of them was good enough to drink.

      Amount of sleep: 7½ hours

      Food before bed: 150mg B6 and 2 omega-3 pills

That's it! I was pretty shaken up by the nightmare and I couldn't go back to sleep for like 40 minutes. Anyways it was a cool experience, but I don't want to have that experience again. A dream within a dream, in which I am having a Sleep Paralysis.

      Keep on dreaming, HARE BRA!
    9. Night of 10/10 - ...And now they have gone

by , 10-11-2010 at 12:54 PM (Grischkaja's world of dreams and mysteries)
Holy crap! I just remember that I dreamed about deodorant, ice cream and train. But I cannot recall what really happened. I lay for at least 10 minutes in bed, not moving but I couldn't recall something
To find the root of this "No-recall"-Problem, I will write down from now on how much sleep I had. I'm convinced that I didn't got enough sleep.

    10. Rainy apartment, cops and mass murderer

      by , 10-11-2010 at 11:44 AM
      This dream was not lucid.

I stood outside a two-story apartment complex at night. The aprtments were connected from the outside, not by an inside hallway.

I walked to a stairway up to the second floor. As I did, I thought about how lucky I had been to miss the rain. But, I thought, my mom would be going out in the rain tonight. So she would need an umbrella.

I ran on all fours along the balcony. It was now raining hard, maybe even thundering. I came to "my mom's apartment." The door was closed, but I kept rushing at it, unaware. I suddenly got a hold of myself and pulled back.

My mom stood to my right, outside the door. She may have had a bunch of stuff all around her, like a mattress, blankets, etc.

I now saw a weird picture book about a baby Disney character (Goofy, though I called him Pluto) in a diaper. "Pluto" had been trnasformed into a baby and was being taken care of by Goofy (who really was Goofy).

I stood out on a streetcorner in a clean, desolate area of town at night. I got a call on my phone, which was an old cell phone.

I avoided answering the call, because I was trying to avoid certain people. But I looked at the phone and saw the caller was "Bomb." I thought Bomb was my brother, so I thought I'd answer the phone. But I then thought that I could be mistaken. So I let the phone ring.

I then wondered if my brother had called to tell me something bad had happened to my mom.

As I crossed the intersection, a big SUV headed at me from my left. It made a huge u-turn in the intersection and then in an area that looked like a culdesac. It felt like the SUV was trying to hit me. But then it was gone.

I was walking along the sidewalk and came to a curtain made of white sheets. Some shortish man held the sheets up for me.

I walked through. It was daytime, a little grey, in an area like a river on the back end of a southwestern city. I stood by a truck with a cop.
The cop was taking care of some final details, probably with an investigation of the site. I got in the truck. I was now holding a bunch of papers and accordion files in my lap.

The cop got in the truck. We drove down the road. Another cop waved at us. The first cop stopped the truck.

The second cop (dressed a in red flannel jacket) started talking with the first cop about some investigation being done on a mass murderer woman, who had possibly killed all her family except her husband.

I now felt I was somehow related to this woman, and that she would be coming after me. I felt like a little kid.

We drove on a little further. It may have been night. We came up to an area littered with a bunch of household stuff, including a baby-sized mattress.

There was some relief for me in this scene. I may have felt like the woman had been caught, and that she wouldn't be trying to kill me after all.

      non-dream - non-lucid - lucid

11-10-10 I only have vague fragmented recall from this weekends sleep sessions, but that I suppose is to be expected when you spend it soaked in beer doing nothing but playing computer games, leaving no time to pay attention to surroundings or doing reality checks.

I am with my grandfather on my mothers side.
      My family is there.
      My Grandmother stands out.
He is in a bad situation, I try and help them both.
We are in the bathroom of the house of my grandfather on my dad's side.
      The bathroom is a bedroom.

      by , 10-11-2010 at 02:50 AM
      My dream:

      Stop that

I'm at a dream version of Tracks pub. sipping a beer pondering my recent turn of events. "is this really happening... ... is the really real... ...what does this mean... ... how will it turn out exactly..." I sip some more and notice bob marley on the jukebox is singing the lyric, "...every little thing, is gonna be alright"
"Thanks bob" I mutter. Tupac is rapping on the tv screen about how life is just a dream. Pretty soon I'm lost in my chaotic train of thoughts again. Then the numbers 333 start circling around my head, confirming my thoughts. They turn into flies and fly around my head more buzzing "333,333,333" at me.
"ahhh buzz off." I said. I look down in my beer and see M's face in the bottle end. "what the..." I say as she purses her lips which become a portal and suck me into the bottle.

Nomad the big bad friendly vampire

I emerge from the portal in some dark room. There's a door slightly open so I peer through. In the next room I see M surrounded by vampires. Nomad is there too in his vampire form.
"there's nothing to be afraid of deary!" Nomad says, "I'm a big bad, but friendly vampire." He morphs into a mexican vampire witha big mustache and fedora hat. He has shakers and salsa music begins playing. He dances around going "friendly vampire cha cha cha! Friendly vampire cha cha cha!" I giggle a bit. M is still surrounded by menacing vampires, she's stimbling around the room holding onto various objects trying to get away. Nomad uses the music as a spell and mind controls all the vampires, they all start dancing and dance right through a portal to somewhere.
Nomad cuts his wrist, and morphs into vampire Ben Stiller. "No one makes me bleed my own blood! Nobody! except me of course!" Then nomad starts sucking on his wrist. blood is getting all over his face and he wipes his face off with his hands. "always wanted to do that in a dream".
I can see M in the corner cowering at the site. I put my head in my palm.
"Nomad," I roar jumping through the door as a werewolf. "What are you doing? She's terrified stop that." His eyes slowly fill with blackness, he seems slightly aware and pushes the blackness away as if on reflex.
"Sorry," he says. I just have to know if she's the real deal.
"Well ok, Remember when we rescued asuka from the Reptilian alien that was inhabiting Lujan? Weren't you there when walms ate the reptilian, and asuka was so grossed out that she threw up?"
"oh yeah," Well isn't M's reaction here similar?
"I have to know for sure!" he said morphing into a dark demon. A dark aura emerged that he could no longer contain. He ws drunk with rage.
"All this waking life shit is killing my dreams, and now she comes along. and look at her, already in distress. AEONA!" he roared at her. "ARE YOU IN THERE? You better not being trying to lead Mosh astray again."
"That's not Aeona." I said. "Trust me I would know." M fainted from the dream but left a silhouette of her dream body which turned cartoonish.
"I knew it." Nomad said and walked toward M. I shot astral tentacles out of my hand which wrapped around nomad likea web. I thrased him around the room. Now he was a jaguar cub yelping. i looked into the web. He looked like and innocent jaguar cub. then a dark aura emerged from him and tried to attack me. I opened a portal to the healing glen and through the jaguar cub through.

I sighed and noticed a beer bottle in my hand. I went to take a sip. M, who was still there, Shot a spider silk from her hand and snatched the botle away from me.
"STOP THAT" she yelled. She was angry, her background changed to a garden at night time with gargoyles. She grew 20ft tall and towered over me. She was like a dark witch.
"OMG," I said, "It's her shadow self."

      Her dream:

      Annoying Vampires

I had a dream last night and I’m almost certain it was Nomad or MoSh. Before I went to bed my main focus was ‘find Asuka’. The dream started pretty normal, in a three story log cabin, saw some living relatives, read their thoughts, everything seemed pretty normal. Then some bell rang or the environment changed and vampirish/zombie things came out from the woodwork so to speak. I was in some type of lift, trying to get a motorcycle to a different level (wtf moment there). I gave up, tried to find one of the three levels that offered the best hiding place or escape, realized there were none. Went to the basement/first level, kitchen setting, I was standing on a counter, with vampires looking at me, I finally got fed up and realized it wasn’t fair. I looked at one of them and said, “Hey, would you stop, I have nowhere to hide, nowhere to escape, this sucks.” I then got off the counter and just started walking around. Another ‘human’ was there and wanted to prove the vamps were peaceful, he drew his own blood, I was looking at the idiot and thought ‘they may be peaceful but they aren’t perfect’. I backed myself into a corner trying to get as far from him as I could, I know things were going to get ugly, so did he, he bolted for the sliding door and right before he got to it, someone popped into my dream bubble. I figured at that point if I wasn't lucid already, I sure was then. I was standing by the fridge, scared shitless, had the door to the fridge opened, looking for I don’t know what … the food was spoiled. But the moment the person showed up, I recognized his energy for the first time that I can remember in my waking state. My impression was he was looking for me, and finally found me, you were about to ask me something but I got pulled from the dream and woke up. At first I thought it was Nomad but thinking it over more, I could have been confused if it was Nomad or MoSh.

      Recent WILDs (WILD)

      NON-DREAM DREAM LUCID

Lately I've not had much of a sleeping pattern, which is handy as far as lucid dreaming goes. What follows are a few short accounts of WILD experiences I've had in the last few weeks.

I was dozing very lightly on my back when I started to notice the imagery I was seeing get stronger. I heard a beat as well. I automatically took notice and the beat developed into a song. It was "I Love it Loud" by KISS. What a tune.
I listened and looked around. I was in the passenger seat of a car, driving along a road I know well. I punched the dashboard a few times in time with the music to try and integrate myself more fully. Then I sang along. I was really belting it out, so much so that I got out of breath. I took two big gulps of air, and wondered whether I was taking these breaths in real life. I knew eye movements in dreams are sychronised with real life, but I haven't heard anything on breaths. The car sped on around a corner. I looked at the driver, and didn't recognise him at all. He was a middle-aged dude with a receeding hairline and very small rectangular glasses. Just because I wanted something to do, I grabbed the wheel and swung it hard to the left. I was reminded of a previous dream where I did this and crashed, after which my recall vanished. Thankfully though, this time we swerved into a church car park. Somewhere around here I got out of the car and lost lucidity through various distractions.

Just earlier today, I was hungover as hell, and went back to bed after breakfast. I lay on my back, as I find it seems to be conducive to sleep paralysis. After a while, I felt my body fall asleep. I literally fell asleep fully. My body was exhausted. But my mind was still 100% awake. No dream formed up immediately, it was very strange. My breathing went on autopilot and I heard myself snoring very slightly. If anyone had been able to observe me, it would have appeared that I was sound asleep, and I suppose I was. I found it remarkable that I could observe the process of falling asleep and remain fully conscious throughout. A few minutes later, hypnagogia finally started. First came the sound of someone else breathing, then I felt my right arm move. I knew this to be part of the dream, since my real body had been paralysed for a while now. I took control of it, and felt my way to the bedside table. After that, I rolled out of bed and onto the floor. Only then did I open my eyes to see the blue carpet. I took a short walk around my floor, pausing to have a look in the kitchen. No-one was around, it was a bit lonely.

In a recent (and seperate) dream, I became lucid out of the blue. It was during a dream where I was a passive observer of the action. Set in medieval times, I was watching a knight defend a castle from attack by a dragon. I was incredibly aware of being in a dream, and wanted to get involved in the action. But I had no physical body. And no matter what I tried, I couldn't force one into existence. This was the very first lucid dream where was simply apprehending the scene and not participating. I could switch viewpoints, rewind time and have an event happen differently, but I could not participate. It was rather frustrating.

      Method: WILD
      Recall: great
      Lucid Ability:not tested
      Vividness: horrible
      Dream Length:short

First of all I had some pretty intense SP that I want to forget about, that I sat through for awhile.

Second...I'm in the dream, but everything is fuzzy, and it's hard to move. I take some time to stabilize....like a lot of time. My hands are doubling, I have double vision, and I almost think it's because I'm lying incorrectly on the side of my face. I clasp both hands together, to get a feel of what they're like, and suddenly everything gets better.

I stand up slowly, and notice everything is getting brighter. The walls have mulicoloured unstable dots on the wall, and it's tripping me out. So much time has gone by, and at this point I'm just hoping nothing interrupts it. I hear the opening theme to a TV show in the living room inside my dream. Then I woke up.

This dream was actually pretty vivid at some parts. I was standing on the western "coast" of Michigan. There was a fortress, somewhat like an old Greek structure with the white pillars and such. We were standing on the cement, looking out over the churning waves while we waited for someone. After a few moments, a large group of people arrived, and joined myself and the large crowd around me. When I turned around, I saw a person whose features I can't really remember, but I got the vibe from them that they were the pastor of the church in this dream, and everyone around me was from my church and other churches in the area or across the lake.

There were a large group of old Viking-type ships tied to the edge of the platform, in which people had arrived. They were from the people who had crossed the lake to get to the ceremony which we were going to perform. The wind was harsh, and whipped against our faces. It wasn't uncomfortably cold but it wasn't warm either. It was like autumn weather. I can't remember what sort of clothes I was wearing, though. A group of people who I knew showed up. They were the people who I met on a mission trip over the summer, and they're from Minnesota. I was smiling and so glad that they were there.

      --- Scenery Change ---

This dream was linked to the last dream, but not until the very end. It began that I was running down a street, in a vacant city. There was nobody visible. The street was made of cobblestone. Heaps of snow were lumped on the edges of the road, and I had a frantic feeling, as if I were searching for something, desperately. The edge of competition was sharp in the back of my mind as I raced down the somewhat narrow road. Solid buildings towered on each side of me, like I was in an alley that was significantly wider than usual. I reached the end of the street, and turned onto a much wider road, perpendicular to the street I was on. It opened out to the "ocean," full of dark, crashing waves.

Lying in the snow was a huge diamond - made of ice. It must've been three inches in diameter. I lunged forward, feeling as if I had finally found what I was looking for. It was the answer to the puzzle I was trying to solve. Just then, someone else appeared from what seemed like nowhere - maybe from around the corner, too. She was wearing tennis shoes, but that's all I can remember. The sound of her shoes against the ground was the crunch of ice and snow buckling under her weight. I was about five feet away when she reached the diamond and snatched it up.

I didn't stop; I kept running, trying to catch up with her so I could take it. I reached her, and started to hit her; she hit me back, and, being somewhat bigger than me, I decided it wasn't worth it and backed away. She ran, off to complete the contest. My thoughts were now even more panicked. What would I do? There were two hours left of the contest, and I had to find the biggest diamond, or I would lose. I can't recall what the stakes were, but they seemed huge and important. I turned around, looking for a diamond...

To my left, I saw a huge snowbank, full of crispy pieces of ice as it is in the very earliest stages of Spring when the snow begins to melt and then re-freezes. I bolted toward it and started to root around, shifting the blocks of ice when I suddenly spotted an even larger ice diamond than the other girl had found. It was about five inches in diameter. Instantly, my hands were on it. It was cold, and felt like glass. Its shape was perfect, not a flaw on it. Just moments later, I turned around, and my jaw dropped as I saw, and realized, something. There was a clock on the wall - and the glass over it was definitely made of the substance I was looking for. I realized that this would win the contest for me, hands down.

I picked up a rock, threw it at the clock. The sound of cracking glass splintered through the crisp winter air. I picked up another. Threw it again. The glass fell down to me, and I caught it in my hands unflinchingly. I turned, and I started to run as fast as I could. And the end of the wide road was a boat, like the Viking boats from the last dream. It was big, and someone was waiting for me in it - the man hosting the contest. He was young, in his early twenties, with short blond hair and striking blue eyes. He had a kind face, and was smiling slightly in encouragement as I raced in what seemed like slow motion towards the boat. I could hear the sound of my shoes gripping the pavement underneath me, the sound of small patches of ice crunching occasionally when I crossed them, and I reached the end of the road. I braced myself as I prepared to leap. I gripped the glass from the clock in one hand, and the free hand found the edge of the boat. I vaulted myself up and onto the boat, the waves crashing against its wooden sides, and the dream ended as my feet touched the deck with a hollow thump.
