    1. Family reunion

      by , 06-16-2015 at 08:31 AM (Snehk's Dreamlands)
I took my uniform and went to work. As I was wandering a forest, suddenly I got teleported back to my home, to a family reunion. I was confused, and watched as family was talking about something I can't recall.

    2. Partial Reunion

      by , 04-12-2015 at 10:12 AM
Morning of April 12, 2015. Sunday.

The setting seems to be Barolin Street, though the layout is slightly different. I notice people I do not know in one room, though they seem to be implied as my family members at some sort of reunion. An older lady and a girl are walking around and doing something that seems related to setting a table, though this one is in the living room. Only my father’s relatives seem to be in the house.

I walk into the kitchen and see a large table (there being more space in the north area of the room beyond the doorway than in reality). On one end, closer to the wall and the doorway, I see two of my older brothers sitting there; Rollie (still alive) and Les (deceased). In my dream, it does not come to mind at all that Les had actually died several years ago. I say something to Rollie (who is the closest to the corner of the room and farthest from where I am standing) about not having seen him for a long time, though in fact, he does not really look exactly like he should. His face seems a bit unlikely free of more defined features - the skin too smooth for his age, though he still looks very old (something to do with his eyes and lips), though not quite like a real human - even though I somehow easily recognize him as my brother. We have a fairly short conversation, with him doing most of the speaking, but I do not recall all of it - he does say the word “because” at least once and something about a vacation, I believe.

If I were going to assign any potential meaning to this, I might associate it with my living brother Rollie (and his present state of health, which I have no clue of), though I would not declare anything certain, as dreams related to him have not been that defined in plot or continuity in contrast to the precisely defined precognitive dreams related to my older sister Marilyn.

    3. I Ride a Boat Full of Cats to Disney World

      by , 08-29-2012 at 03:13 PM
I’m on a boat with my family. The inside of the boat is full of water, and we’re all just floating around in it. But then, I guess the water drains out because suddenly it’s all gone.

I’m talking to my sisters, when suddenly I remember that I might have forgotten to pack my laptop. Part of me doesn’t care that much because apparently we’re going to be somewhere that doesn’t have any Internet access anyway, but I still wanted my laptop around so that I could write on it and stuff. So, I go to double-check my luggage. There are some plastic bags lying around and I start looking through them, but they’re all just full of shoes. Finally, I find my backpack, but it looks like I didn’t pack anything very useful. Apparently I only packed a few items of clothing and then a bunch of Beanie Babies. And I stuffed everything into the front pocket instead of packing it in the main part of the backpack.

So, I stand up again. And right then I become lucid for like two seconds. It just randomly occurs to me that I’m dreaming, and I run out onto the deck of the boat saying, “I’m lucid! I’m lucid!” I decide I’m going to jump off the boat and into the water. So, I do that. But, as soon as I do, I just find myself back on the boat again and I’m no longer lucid. Oh well.

When I’m back on the boat, I see that my dad is standing at a stove and cooking something. When I get closer, I see he’s frying a bunch of snails in a pan. And they’re not normal snails, either … They’re like, super gigantic snails that are probably like six inches long. My mom is standing nearby and starts complaining about how disgusting it is and how my dad will just have to eat those by himself.

At that point, I start walking up some stairs, because apparently the boat has two floors. On the second floor, there are a few rooms that look like bedrooms, and one room that looks like a kitchen. For some reason, I’m convinced that my friend Hannah lives on the second floor of the boat.

There are a ton of cats on the second floor. I don’t remember all of them, but … There’s this one, huge fat grey and white cat that’s just sitting around. There are a couple of small, grey kittens. And then there’s this really exotic-looking cat who has a black head, but the rest of her body is orange (possibly with some white … I don’t remember very clearly). She has abnormally large ears. And when she blinks, her face kind of like, folds in on itself so you can’t see it. It’s weird. But anyway, I really like this cat and start petting her. Just then, Hannah’s mom comes up the stairs, and I feel guilty because apparently the cat is hers, and it was in her bedroom. But she doesn’t seem to care I’m there. Suddenly, all of my family comes upstairs and they’re all wandering around.

I start playing with one of the kittens, and I try to pick him up, but he scratches my finger. I look down and see that my index finger is bleeding. I walk over to the exotic-looking cat and let her lick the cut. My mom is watching and she’s like, “Awwwww.”

We’re now standing in the kitchen on the second floor, and everyone is pouring cereal into plastic bags and then … layering the plastic bags on top of each other. It’s sort of hard to describe. But anyway.

Apparently the whole time, we were taking the boat to a family reunion of some sort. It’s at some theme park––I guess kind of like Disney World? Anyway, I end up waiting around for this Cinderella-themed ride. It’s this huge white and gold boat that just like, flies up into the sky and swings around.

So, the boat comes down out of the sky, and two ladies dressed as the evil stepsisters get off it, complaining that the ride has no seatbelts. So I’m like, “Oh boy.” Just then, two of my sisters show up and we all get on the ride.

Sure enough, there are no seatbelts. There are just a bunch of benches running across the boat. There’s this random Asian guy sitting at one end of the boat dressed as Prince Charming and he’s like, “HELLOOO.” And we’re all like, “… Hi.”

The boat flies up into the sky and starts swinging back and forth. And we’re all pretty much just sliding around like crazy. And I’m afraid I might fall off, except there are a bunch of these wire fence-type things around the sides of the boat, so I figure I’ll be okay.

Even though only my sisters and I got on the boat to begin with, there are suddenly a lot of other people on the ride as well. The ride keeps going upside down, and when it does, we all just have to sort of hook our feet under the benches and hang there. Then there’s some point where the benches detach from the inside of the boat––and we all have to hold on to a bench as it shoots off into the sky. And when that happens, everyone has a ray of magical color streaming out behind them, and it forms a rainbow.

After that part, there’s this other part where each person gets filmed individually while they dance around holding a fake gun. Apparently there’s going to be some event where we all pretend to shoot each other, for some reason. I stand in front of a computer, watching the people who have been filmed so far. Everyone has to dance against some weird, purple background.

Anyway, I wander off and then my mom and I start talking to some old guy who is apparently related to me. He talks about how he loves that ride that I just went on, and how his favorite part is the shooting part, because it reminds him of when he fought in some war. Then he starts talking about the war and about how horrific it was. And he talks about how he had this wound in his leg, which he claims looked like a gaping mouth with razor-sharp teeth or something. And I’m like, “… What.”

I start thinking about how horrible it would be to be in a war. And suddenly I’m afraid I’m going to get drafted into a war or something, and I’m going to die.

Then one of my younger siblings comes up to me––I think Annabelle––and she wants me to come with her, to find some fireworks that are apparently going on. So, I go with her to look for them. For some reason, she thinks they’re in this nearby dark room. But nothing is going on in there, and there are people in there sleeping in sleeping bags. So we leave.

      And I think that’s all.
    4. Old Sturbridge Village, Library, Family Reunion, and Hunger Games

      by , 08-21-2012 at 04:25 PM
I recall four dreams from last night:

      DREAM #1

I go to some village with my family... I guess it's kind of like Old Sturbridge Village or something. We don't have long to be there because it's about to close. They make everyone take out their phones and iPods and leave them at the front entrance on top of a blanket. I felt self-conscious because my iPod looks really small compared to everyone else's.

In the village place, we go to a bookstore. I dance around in the bookstore singing a song about Pinkie Pie. ... Yup.

      DREAM #2

I'm at a library, and I'm helping a woman return her materials. But then I'm not sure where to return the CDs because I can't find the slot for audio/visual returns. Suddenly there are like a hundred different return slots at the library desk and I can't figure out what any of them mean. So I just leave the CDs lying around and hope one of the librarians will find them. The woman I helped sends her son to find me, and he gives me a card with money in it. Then I go outside and my dad is there to pick me up. I'm still worrying about the CDs.

      DREAM #3

Brief dream about some kind of family reunion, I think at my grandma's house. My mom is complaining about how she doesn't like one of her cousins, which I find shocking since I thought they were friends.

      DREAM #4

I'm being forced into a Hunger Games type of competition, where a bunch of kids have to fight with each other and one kid has to kill everyone else. Except, we all have to wear ridiculous outfits while we're fighting. We each have some kind of personal assistant who shows us what we're going to wear. My assistant is this kind of chubby bald guy, and my outfit is this ridiculous Victorian-looking yellow dress with a lot of buttons up the front and a tiered skirt. Then I have to wear a yellow leather jacket over it.

We all get changed in the same room. I change next to Fiona (my sister), because she is also in the competition. She has to wear a purple dress. The bald guy is in the room with all of us, but he politely turns and looks at the wall so he doesn't see everyone naked.

I'm already starting to plan how I'm going to kill anyone who tries to attack me. Apparently I will have a sword for my weapon, and I plan to throw it at anyone who comes near me, and I think this is a totally foolproof plan.

Later on, I'm doing my hair next to some girl with pale, short blond hair. For some reason I know her name is Juliet, and I'm convinced that she used to go to Hampshire (where I go to school) but then dropped out, even though she doesn't exist in real life. Anyway, she says something to me like, "Everyone who dies will be a ghost. And the person who wins will be a monster." And in my dream I think that's the deepest thing ever.

Afterward, we all get a last dinner with our families. So I'm sitting at a table with my family, but I'm still thinking about what Juliet said. Fiona is like, "I have so much energy right now!" And I'm like, "But Fiona, we have to kill people!" And that's about where the dream ends.
    5. Groucho Marx, Singing, Traditional Boots, and a Christmas Party

      by , 06-24-2012 at 04:19 PM
Haven't updated in a while, so here I am to post my latest dream!

My sister is about to go to a costume party, and she’s walking around our room dressed as Groucho Marx. And I’m like, “Oh, nice costume.”

In another part, my sister is watching a video on YouTube of this girl singing karaoke. And she’s like, “Oh, I know that girl. She’s a terrible singer.” The girl is singing something by Vanessa Carlton or Michelle Branch or something along those lines––can’t remember what song it is. But anyway, she’s not as bad at singing as my sister had said.

There’s a panel of judges watching her, and they all have to give her a “grade” on her singing. So, all the judges give her an A except for one judge who gives her an F. And then everyone boos her for giving the girl an F.

(By now I’m kind of … part of the scene instead of watching it. So yeah.)

The girl’s father walks up on stage and he’s wearing these ridiculous knee-high boots. And he starts talking about how his boots are “traditional” of his culture or whatever. Then he talks about this traditional suit that he has, which for some reason I know looks like a red elf suit. Apparently this suit is some important family heirloom and it has never fit any of his children, so he’s upset about it.

The scene morphs into a family reunion type thing … I think a Christmas party. Someone brings out this weird decoration, which is this Christmas tree with Santa’s head on the top, and it sings and dances. And my mom is like, “Oh, I made that a long time ago and then I left it behind somewhere.” So I start playing with this thing with a baby who’s crawling around on the floor––an imaginary cousin who I think is named Tim or something like that. That’s about where the dream ends.
    6. M&M's and Gummy Worms.

      by , 02-06-2012 at 04:40 AM
      #3

Began outside/in a truck, was fighting with my little brother over candy (M&M's and gummy worms or something), then my step mom was there saying I could stay home for this possible thing they were going to, that was just gonna be southy, but to spite her I went anyway. Ended up being a big family event at a house I've never been too. Any time I looked in the mirror my hair couldn't decide what length it wanted to be. This happened a few times. My principle was outside of the party figiting with his tie and I made some remark and he said wish me luck and went into it. Went into a room and looked at the fire place for a while, then went back into the party and competed in a high jump contest (elementary school field day style, if anybody remembers that haha) until I woke up.
