    1. Short DEILD to get sucked back into the plot

      by , 10-25-2014 at 04:18 PM (4th DJ-Attempt)
.../I briefly woke up, and now I'm staring at some books in front of me, I don't feel any dream body yet, just me laying on the bed, although keep looking in front of me as I'm standing, waiting when my arms will appear to hold a book in front of me. It doesn't take that much when I see my hand holding the book, and slowly start to feel my dream body. I love this feeling of transition! I hold the book with my both hands and now I can feel its weight. I start playing with it, turning it and throwing it up to hold it back again. Now I'm back into the dream. I let the book fall on the bed. I see my little one is still there from the previous dream. It's night and this room is not good illuminated. I take a look to the other books. I find my old big encyclopedic dictionary. I know I'm going to find what I'm looking for here. I know I just have to open the pages to see what I don't remember what is it. I open it but there's nothing special there. When I close it, there are two pictures of some ladies in the back. That's it, I want to get into a picture. I stare at one of them and apparently it starts to move. I don't see it clear. I want to go somewhere with more light. It's turning very interesting. The bathroom is a good place. I see its doors to my side. I want to get in when I realize I've confused it with the door of our closet which is next to it. I laugh while I ask my kid to go playing somewhere else. I turn the lights of the bathroom. The place gets brighter when I see my kid jumping to a second platform in front of the living room, which is separated by an empty space. It's dangerous there. I ask her to stop. I go there and hold her to show how deep is the fall. We see down there, it's around two or three floors fall. There are some curtains that I ask to move to show the empty space. I feel some vertigo because of the place is dark. We can see the floor down there. I pick up my kid and start complaining about how dangerous is to play that way. She starts to cry while I bring her to a safety place/...

    2. Tesser and Shotgun Nightmares

by , 10-25-2014 at 01:53 PM (Lucid Time!)
I am playing a video game that has become very popular called 'Tesser'. It starts off with a cut-scene where a character (who looks like Marcus) explains the dimensions. If you draw a dot, it exists in no dimensions. If you draw a second dot and connect them you make a line; that exists in one dimension. If you draw a second line and connect them, you make a square; that exists in two dimensions. If you draw a second square and connect them, that makes a cube; and it exists in three dimensions. If you draw a second cube, and connect them; you create a tesseract.
Now, the paper you are drawing your shapes on. Just as the paper you are drawing on looks two dimensional, if you look closely it is actually a little bit three dimensional. In the same way, three dimensional reality is a little bit fourth-dimensional. That is how the fictional company in the game was able to make a tesseract and travel to parallel dimensions.
In the game, you walk around a three-dimensional world, but everything is tinted a color. When you tesseract, the tint changes. So you have a Red,Yellow,Green,Cyan,Blue, and Magenta dimension. And they are all slightly different versions of the level, so you can say for instance come across a gap. In one dimension, it might be a wide, impassible gap, but in another dimension there might be a bridge across it.
But you will die if you tesseract yourself over-top a hazard or inside a wall. Also you can only move to dimensions close to you in color. For example, if you are in the green dimension, you can only move to the blue and the yellow dimensions.

I am watching an anime. It stars me, and is supposed to be about my ventures in lucid dreaming. I am in the woods with an old man and am carrying a shotgun. The old man is one of the sensei/master types and he his helping me hunt little demons that stop me from lucid dreaming. He says he has a surprise at the end.
We end up killing a very unsatisfying amount of lucid demons this time around. Just as we are getting ready to leave, he spots a demon owl. My character looks through the scope and sees a magnificent white creature roosting on a high branch.
"Are you sure that's a lucid demon?"
"Yes, now shoot it before it flies away!"
He fires, and then lowers the gun, and when he does Manei has taken the place of the owl. She feels for her chest and sees the blood pouring from it. She falls off of the branch and into a deep thicket.
      My character screams "NOOO!!!"
He turns to the Sensei character who is smiling evily. As soon as he sees the evil smile he blows his head off with the shotgun at point blank, and then falls over and stars crying. There is one of those shots of the eyes that they give at emotional moments in animes.
A thick fog rolls in and all of the shots are upside down. Some of them have glitches, as if there are scratches on the CD or something. There is some music playing that is supposed to be sad but it sounds like a very distorted synth piece. It was at that point that I decided that I wanted to 'turn off' the anime, and that I hated it. But I couldn't.
      ...
The scene of Manei being shot repeated over and over. I kept on trying to stop it.
      ...

My character had gone to lucid dreaming "hell" for killing his dream guide. I became more aware that this was a dream and gained a degree of control over my character, I was able to interface with him, talk to him.
A demon approached me, that was supposed to be my character's torturer. He wore black robes, and looked a little like Darth Maul. His head hung at a 90 degree angle to one side. He put both hands on the side of his head and forced it upright, cracking his neck.
For some reason this scene repeated several times as well.
The demon readied his attack. He had these flaming bladed chains, four of them come out of his back. It reminded me of slenderman's tentacles.
"Don't take this from him, fight back!"
      "I will!" He grunted.
The demon sent his chains but my character ran under them to melee range and fired off several rounds from his shotgun. It was completely ineffective. He dodged a couple of attacks with the chains, then started flying.
      "I...I still have my powers!"
The fight became like a 2D sidescroller video game, and after a few minutes the dream faded.

The anime somehow ended with dream music as I was waking up. This was a rock soundtrack with a very talented and amazing singer. I forget the lyrics but they had to do with forgetting your past and moving on.
    3. At the kitchen

      by , 10-25-2014 at 10:52 AM
I was on the ground floor of my house, in the room where the washing machine and dryer are, my dog was wedged between the two machines, and it seemed that there was not possible because there is not enough space for him to enter, I was worried and wanted to stroke his head, then his head rolled on the ground and again felt fear at the sight, I went into the kitchen and saw my dog was there without any apparent problem... Then I thought "how strange, this must be a dream!" and indeed it was. I felt euphoric and happy, I wanted to look at my hands, but I stopped and thought I wanted to fly, I tried but could not, so I decided I had to wake up and it was.

    4. #39 - Pedal Plane/Flying Boat

      by , 10-25-2014 at 10:29 AM (The Oneironaut's Odyssey)
      Black: Non-dream
      Blue: Non-lucid
      Red: Lucid

Didn't fall asleep until 2am, tried FILD and SSILD together but only had a brief moment of 'hmm is this a dream' which I was okay with, it was a pretty cool dream.

      Dream 1 - Pedal Plane
So I meet a stranger, he has these blue overalls on. We team up, he's extremely bad-ass, got a cold demeanor about him but is on a quest to do good. He gets into bad ass 'ranger' clothing, like Aragorn or something out of Lord of the Rings... We go on a short-lived adventure to save the kingdom or something, but on our way we find out something changed and we can't do anything anymore. We're in typical New Zealand bushy scenery the whole time, travelling alongside a small stream. The stranger is back in his blue overalls again, and walks away down the stream, I shout out "I'll just stick with you for a while until I find out where I'm going next" since we no longer had any reason to stay teamed up. He says "Fine with me", and sounds subtly happy about it but doesn't show it. I grab my stuff and run to catch up with him, the stream we've been travelling along has grown bigger by now. A couple of people are canoeing up it, the stranger says he'll handle it and proceeds to talk to them. One of the people is the spitting image of a friend, M, and the other is a random girl who is apparently nutty... They converse and M mentions that the way ahead is blocked my a massive boulder landslide about 100 metres high. There is a plane he mentions that is man-powered by a pedal bike too. I spot it stuck in a tree, he said he would have used it had it been possible to get it down and to a decent launching area. I just go for it, I hop on and start pedalling like crazy, the planes propellers rotate like crazy and the plane manages to get off the tree, and over a cliff beneath it. I fall down and jump off the plane, I grab a super-flexible branch on a tall tree that's at the bottom of the cliff, it flexes down all the way to the ground and I land softly. Dayum.
I turn around to see an expansive green grassy field, to my left is a car park. I look up and the bike from the plane is plummeting downwards, it has a pole beneath it that was attached to the plane and impales car. <-- my expression. I know somehow that this is the car of the nutty girl! I hear a scream from the hills above, I just turn around and bolt onto the fields. To my right I see her sprinting out of the bushes and chasing after me just shouting random stuff about beating me up (I found this funny in the dream, like I could talk her down and joke to her about it innocently being an accident or something ).
      The dream ends here.

I cement as much of the dream to memory, then push it to the back of my mind and start trying SSILD and FILD. I got a bit confused of how I was meant to do this, was I meant to do it at the same time? I ended up giving up on the FILD pretty quickly as I just got confused, but managed a few cycles of SSILD.

      Dream 2 - Flying Boat
I'm outside at my home (dream sign), bouncing on trampolines. There's three of them, each is slightly different, two are next to each other at the bottom of the slope in our backyard next to the apple tree, the other is slightly lower and is halfway beneath the trampoline I'm jumping on. I think I might have been doing back flips? Not sure. Anyways. I look up and spot a flying boat, this absolutely blows me away. It's so vivid and clear, it's coming out of a cloud and it's red and huge (like a cargo crate transporter boat). I think to myself how odd and amazing it is, and how there's no way that it could be real... Sadly I didn't get lucid. I notice the boat start to tilt, it's falling. I sprint off the trampoline and up the stairs to the deck. I turn around and see the huge boat crash into the ground. The impact created huge tidal waves of water that swelled and crashed over the trees and surrounded my house. Suddenly it's like we're in the middle of ocean during a storm, it's raining, windy, and now the sky is dark and overcast with flashes of lightning. I spot a wayward yellow boat float upside my house (which has somewhat turned into a boat, there is deck beneath the deck I was on now too). My dad shouts something about tying up the boat, I bolt down the stairs and grab a hook attached to some rope. I seem to fiddle around as if my right hand just became stupid or something, it's pretty much slapping the hook onto a rung but just bouncing off and I can't figure out why. I turn it around and try it again, it works. Yay. My dad says 'well done' or something and the dream ends.
    5. Big Presentation

      by , 10-25-2014 at 01:18 AM
      Non-Dream Dream

      Dream 1:

I gave my big presentation to the department on my project I. There were lots of questions about the role of STATs in my project.

      Dream 2:

There is a huge outdoor party with a lot of people from my work. I jokingly offer to serve my boss RL some food. He thinks I am serious and I spend the rest of the night serving him and AC food and drinks like a waiter. I serve kung pao chicken and several mixed drinks. This was a long and very important dream. Unfortunately I only wrote down a couple of words thinking that I would remember it all in detail. I didn't...
    6. Flying Nimbus Go

I have already slept during the night. For some reason, I woke up really early in the morning. I was sleepy, so I just went to sleep again and had a nice dream. As far as I can remember I was in this park/beach/forest type of place. This part is a little hazy so I don't remember what it was before then. So I walked through the forest, and it went all the way out to the sea where there was a beach. In the dream, it was a cloudy and windy day at the sea. Anyway, I somehow became lucid. I wanted to have some fun in the dream, so I tried to summon a Flying Nimbus. For those of you who do not know what a Flying Nimbus is, it's an orange cloud from the Dragon Ball franchise, that the main character rides on top of.

I thought that would be fun, so I called out to the sky, "Flying Nimbus come to me!" At first nothing happened and DC around me, just stare at me weirdly. I actually had quite some trouble visualizing a Flying Nimbus. Eventually, I succeeded at summoning a clear/transparent almost invisible Flying Nimbus. So I hopped onto it, and rode on it standing up, like a surfboard. If was a form of powered flight, amazing. I constantly yelled, "Flying Nimbus Go!" Here I actually felt the wind brushing against my face. I flew over the sea, mountains, and low buildings. At a certain part of the dream, there was this "ceiling" in the sky that prevented me from rising higher, but eventually I made it fade away. I realized it is a product of my own doubts. At one point I even carried a DC with me on the Flying Nimbus, but I got tired of this, went down to the ground, dropped him off, and continued my flight. Who am I, a taxi driver? I just liked to watch all the little houses in the suburb as I flew over them. In all, it was just a fun experience, one that I've wanted to replicate for quite some time before.
