      Mech Samurai

I dont know how I became lucid. I remember wearing a mech suit of some kind. It was really cool, it had boosters on the feet like Iron man but was a little more chunky around the shoulders and stuff, felt like a futuristic version of samurai armor. I had a cool helmet with a hud kinda like halo. I could activate my shields. I started walking down the road with two long katanas in my hands. I could see in the distance another person in a suit just standing, waiting for me. When I got within 100 meters I took to the sky. I found my armor started to fall off, I shook off the flimsy shoulder pads still hanging onto my body. The other suit was below me, I came down on him and we had a small battle ion the air before returning to the ground and continuing the fight. He was good and landed a killing blow to my chest. I was lucid though so I knew it couldnt hurt me. I came back with a flurry of strikes, smashing his katana through the air. I continued my assault across his chest. He had no wounds although he had scars from previous battles. I came right up to him and he was a young boy maby 13 with fiery red hair. He looked very sad and angry. I told him it was ok and that he was an excellent fighter. His emotions did not change and he turned and ran away. I wanted to teach him and continue to battle.

    2. False awakening and reality checks

      by , 10-12-2010 at 09:41 PM
      Awake Dream Lucid
I don't remember most of my dreams since i was to lazy to write them down today.

Dream 1- i am at a supermarket of some sort with some people that look like from the Avatar: the last airbender cartoon. I dont remember any details but i was a fat dude who couldn't control any of the elements until i found a pair of slippers that can give me powers to control water. Then i am jumping over piles of cans and boxes to hide from a old sinister guy. Later i try to show off some of my powers but all i got to do is splash some water with my hands in a flooded area in the supermarket.

Dream 2- I get a false awakening but i feel heavy and sleepy i am not aware of where i am but it seems like there is a window right on top of my bed. I feel the sunlight hit my face but I still don't realize i am dreaming. I do a reality check but it just confuses me. then my dream transitions, and i am at a audition for a Jerry springer type of show. I see my face in a reflection of a Indian man who had a five o'clock shadow and was holding a surf board. I also had a black suit with dark gray stripes, a blue button down shirt and a black tie. I realize this is myself and become lucid. i go inside a stairway and one guy takes my surfboard and says I'll take your ride. I follow some people with their kids and go up the stairs to find myself in a room with a bunch of people in a circle which looks like a AA meeting. I see everyone holding a form i got worried that i didn't have one and found one in my pocket. I remembered that words may change every time you look away. At first my name was David, then it changed to a bunch of different names. I stare at the paper for a while then i see the letters turned in to people and that the environment changed we are now outside surrounded by chain linked fences. A couple of kids came back dirty from playing outside and their parents got worried about them. That's all i remember
    3. Locker Room II

      by , 10-12-2010 at 07:03 PM
This was the first time I tried out "The Inception Technique" found here: http://www.dreamviews.com/f12/incept...d-true-104652/

I am in the pool of my high school. I am wearing my speedo with a duster over it. I am balancing on some kind of floating mat. I see the rest of the team in the water already and I remember I'm late for practice so I head back into the locker room to get my goggles. The locker room is very crowded. I walk around opening the lockers because I forgot which one I stored my stuff in. When I find it, there is a cap gun inside which I fire off a few times, but after the first few shots it stops working. One of the other swimmers in the locker room asks me about it and I tell him it's broken. He takes it and tries to fire it.

At this point I realize that I would not be in the locker room of my high-school pool unless I was dreaming. Right as I realize this, I wake up because of the construction outside my window. I keep my eyes closed and try to visualize myself back in the locker room, I slip back into the dream and I am lucid.

I walk out of the locker room and then outside. I am on a grassy field with a dirt road running along the outside. In the middle of the field there is some kind of chain restaurant place. (It's a restaurant chain that only exists in the dream, apparently) Behind the restaurant is an apartment building. I try to fly up to the roof of the apartment building so I can see over the city. My plan is to fold it over itself like the scene from Inception. I get myself to float above the ground and then fly up to the roof of the restaurant. I wake up again, and this time the construction is too noisy and I can't fall back to sleep.

    4. Lucid Dream #17

by , 10-12-2010 at 02:29 PM (Warbenifit156's Lucid Dreaming Adventures)
      Lucidity: 2/10
      Vividness: 4/10
      Length: ~10 Min.

I was bouncing around on a basketball court since I was one of those flame things from the T-shirts and then I went into this shack and shape shifted into two different people. I tried to change into Avatar: The Last Airbender characters. I tried a lot of them and I was able to Earthbend, Waterbend, and Airbend. Just not Firebend. The End.
    5. Hunting in Dreamscape "Test Area 102"

      by , 10-12-2010 at 06:32 AM
First, it's been forever!! And now I come back and see that there's a whole new dream journal system LOL. Well, let's start with last night's LD.

      October 11, 2010

Last night's LD was a visit to Test Area 102. Time for more harvesting of mean-looking things with gnashy teeth and other scary-looking features!

I found myself standing, again, in front of the painting that I had planted into the ground in the center of the dreamscape.
I took in a deep breath out of habit and immediately breathed out the moment I smelled the swamp-rot.
      BLEH!
With a thought command, I summoned a peppermint candy, opened my e-visor and popped the candy into my mouth.
Closing my e-visor, I summoned a pulse rifle and began making my way through the dark forest of thorns.
Almost immediately, the thorns began to hiss as I passed them by, the trees creaked and groaned as they bled dark ichor, and occasionally the ground would tremor for some reason or other.
My motion detector wasn't picking up anything at all even after half an hour of walking. I wondered if the spine hounds had decided to avoid me for good this time?
It was after an hour that finally I spotted my first spine hound. It didn't even notice me before I shot it twice, killing it where it stood.
After that though, it was back to me and the hissing thorns... neutral
It was after another few minutes that I finally picked not one but five objects speeding towards me!
I quickly swung my pulse rifle around to bear on my new targets... but they were nowhere in sight whatsthat
I watched as the blips passed my position and that was when I heard the rustling... up above!
I quickly aimed up and started firing into the thorn canopy, plasma bolts burning through thick mangles of thorn branches which shrieked and hissed as they were destroyed.
I attempted to track my targets as I watched the blips continue moving away from me, firing into the canopy in the general direction of the blips.
And then they were gone... Bugger.

      Silence....
And then the thorns started hissing again.

I continued my trek through the thorn forest, pushing my way through thorn bushes, breaking through low-lying thorn branches, and occasionally stopping to listen for anything other than the thorn hissing.
Eventually I came across the same trees I had stopped at before. The scratch markings were still etched into the bark.
And there it was! Looking up, I saw something in the branches, seemingly huddled in the nest I had found!
I slowly inched my way towards the tree base, my pulse rifle trained on the nest and the creature inside. It didn't seem to sense me; maybe it was asleep?
Holding my pulse rifle in my right hand, I stooped down to pick up a small rock. Carefully standing back up straight, I pulled my left hand back and threw the rock up at the nest.
It missed the nest, but it bounced off the branches before falling to the ground... and that was enough.
The creature jerked up, its odd-shaped head weaving back and forth as if searching.
It's head reminded me of a sting ray's... its back though was a segmented carapace like a scorpions... and then its legs unfolded, hairy and segmented like a spider's. It lifted itself out of the nest and turned on point to face me, revealing serrated teeth lining its mouth from one end to the other and a secondary mouth just barely peeking out of its primary jaws.
Its form fully in view now, it was about the length of a snow mobile and its body as wide as a skateboard was long. Its long legs made it look even bigger though!
And then it started making a bunch of clicks and croaks at me, it probably wasn't happy that I was so close to its home.
Unfortunately, I couldn't just walk away. I was looking for it and now I had found it. And so I shot it.
A three-shot burst and the thing virtually exploded down the middle, almost falling in two, save for its lower abdomen and spindly tail.
I watched as the creature's corpse fall from the tree and hit the ground in a crumpled heap. Then I noticed a strange thing.
As the thing's blood pattered the ground, the ground almost seemed to... move. Like lips pressed against a stretchy film of rubber, trying to gasp for air or utter something. It was like the stained soil was trying to drink the blood.
"Interesting," I muttered to myself as I thought this, raising an eyebrow in amusement.
Then I heard a series of rapid-fire clicks and long drawn-out croaks. I looked up at the other trees and saw more of those... sting ray spider teeth things... tree sharks, I guess I'll call them.
And they were all turned towards me.
With a thought command, my pulse cannons unfolded themselves from my shoulders.
"A jolly time for a brawl, aye?" I called to the tree sharks. As my pulse cannons locked onto their targets, I fired off a storm of plasma bolts into the trees all around.
In the initial fusilade, four tree sharks blew into smoldering clouds of chitin, flesh, and misted blood--then they all started attacking me at the same time. Tree sharks were either leaping from the tree tops or scuttling down the tree trunks, leaving more scratches in the bleeding bark. I barely was able to register any of that while I was at this point firing at a mass of tree sharks that was slowly enveloping my whole front, leaving me to run into the woods if I needed. But they were slowly closing around my flank as well as I continued firing along their line.
Ten, twenty-one, twenty-eight, more kept coming and I had to keep blasting them as I started edging towards the denser part of the thorn woods. As I got closer to the shadow of the thorn woods, the more the hissing returned from the thorn branches. The trees began to groan again.
My kill cams were going in every which direction as my pulse cannons were auto-tracking tree sharks that was scurrying across the ground, jumping from tree to tree, weaving back and forth from thorn bush to thorn bush, it seemed like they were everywhere, and with the added claustrophobia of the dense thorn wood forest I started thinking about that one scene from Cloverfield when the main characters were in the subway getting chased by those doberman-sized creatures that looked like a mix between a spider and a toothed snapping turtle with bad dental hygiene.
Anyways, I had made it about twenty meters back into the main part of the thorn wood forest when the things started really getting sneaky about their chasing me.
As the tree sharks on the left would weave through the cover of shadows and thorns, distracting me, I noticed the right side would try to rush straight at me before suddenly turning to scale up trees and such to chase me down from above. Then the ones on the left would actually start to rush me for real.
I ended up summoning and chucking a few fragmentation grenades towards the group to my right, but I didn't really hear the pained shrieks of more than two tree sharks getting maimed and blown apart by the FIVE grenades I threw. The others must've made it up the trees a lot faster than I thought--which was a nice skill considering I could be using these creatures one day.
I returned my attention to the left-side wave, my pulse cannons' plasma fire sweeping across the low thorn bushes, blasting up dirt, and setting bushes and trees on fire. Another tree shark went up in a fountain of body parts and gore, its head was there a moment before instantly vanishing in a flash of blue-white plasma fire, and then its body followed suit, exploding in charred bits.
I quickly reloaded my pulse rifle, ejecting a steaming hot spent cell and slamming a new one in, pressing the charge button. The pulse rifle hummed and whined as it charged up, a second later I was firing bursts into the canopy above while my pulse cannons continued applying the pressure on the ground.
Then I found out where the right wave went.
It was almost raining tree sharks as they leaped from everywhere above!
I felt the weight of one slam into my back before its legs were grappling with me, hooked claws scraping across my Battle Armor, trying to get a grip on me.
Suddenly I felt the pressure of jaws clamping on my right calf, the armor protecting my leg creaking slightly under the pressure.
Just as I was aiming down to blast at the tree shark that had my leg, the whole weight of another slammed into the back of my head, imagine somebody throwing ten original Xbox's at your neck simultaneously, then you'll know how it felt. Minus the pain, of course, but the pressure was enough to tell me it would've outright broken my neck without my Battle Armor and if this were a real life situation. These things must have incredibly leg strength to launch themselves so quickly and so powerfully. It was like what a flea might be if it were the size of your neighbor's Saint Bernard!
In any case, I was thrown forward and I hit the ground rather hard. Hard enough that my e-visor HUD flickered out for a moment from the impact.
And then suddenly, I was being swarmed.
As I felt my pulse rifle get wrestled out of my grip, I summoned my energy sword to my right hand and began flailing left and right, kicking wildly, and occasionally--by accident, albeit it worked--head-butted a few tree sharks. It's hard to tell amongst a mass of flailing limbs and gnashing teeth and snapping secondary jaws, but I probably killed or maimed around ten tree sharks in that brief outburst of random attacks.
Anyways, I was able to pick myself up as two more tree sharks leapt onto me and attempted to gnaw at my head and right shoulder.
I managed to shake one off as its legs couldn't find purchase on my armor, but the other managed to clamp its teeth on the sides of my e-visor helmet and it just bugged the hell out of me that I could hear its frantic breathing so clearly.
As I was furiously shaking my head, my pulse cannons firing in random directions, and my energy sword swinging in reaping sweeps, I felt more jaws and claws scrape against my armor over my legs and arms. These things weren't stopping!
"BLOODY BUGGER OFF!" I yelled as I swung my left fist randomly and connected with something. I couldn't tell what because my e-visor was being enveloped by the mouth of a second tree shark.
I grabbed the tree shark that was on my visor, hooking my fingers into the upper lip of the creature before squeezing as hard as possible, using both the strength of my Battle Armor and a dose of superstrength.
With a sickening crack and crunch followed by a sucking smack, the creature released me as its upper jaws and eyes were crushed to a pulp in my clenched fist. I then drew my fist back and immediately lashed out at another tree shark as it leapt at me.
I hacked with my energy sword, bisecting another tree shark before severing the leg of another just beside it, before it could leap.
I using the weight of the tree shark still on my back, I lifted one leg and used our combined weight to crush another tree shark underfoot while I swept my energy sword across again. Again another tree shark latched onto my right arm, which I promptly punched my fist through its teeth and down its throat. I didn't know what it was I grabbed, but I grabbed something inside that tree shark and flung it into two other tree sharks like a club before discarding the corpse. (That was when I discovered I had a grip on the thing's spine.)
Suddenly the tree shark that had its jaws around the back of my head released me, and the remaining tree sharks began to turn and run...
At this point there were easily fifty-some dead tree sharks all around me. My left gauntlet was covered in guts and blood, my energy sword sizzled with crackling energy, my left shoulder-mounted pulse cannon was having trouble turning properly to scan for targets, my pulse rifle was out there somewhere buried under the bodies, and I was ready for a vacation.
Then I found out why the tree sharks had run. And it wasn't from me.
One moment I was standing, the next I was flying into a thorn tree.
My e-visor flickered with static as I impacted the tree like a comet. I quickly pushed off the tree and turned. Just as I summoned my energy sword again, a giant claw smacked me across the face so hard that I was lifted from my feet!
I flipped almost twice before I slammed the ground like a brick dropped from a building. Before I could pick myself up I was already under attack. A solid hit slammed me in the small of my back, which would've broken my dream self's back if not for the Battle Armor--I could've sworn I was being pushed deeper into the ground by the sheer force of it.
I pushed against the ground, and forced myself into a roll to my right as the ground shook with the force of a barely missed blow. I looked up in time to see it was a Spine Behemoth... and it was even BIGGER!!
I quickly summoned a pulse pistol to my left hand as my pulse cannons began firing. The massive creature was a hell lot faster than it looked, falling to a hunch and rushing to dodge the overshooting plasma bolts, it started towards me with loping steps that covered several meters in an instant.
I only managed to fire a single shot from my pistol into the thing's left shoulder before it backhanded me straight into the thorn canopy!
Branches snapped as I flew up into the hissing thorns. Again the thorns shrieked as the branches they were attached to were snapped like twigs by the force of my being thrown skywards.
Then I began to fall, and before I could have the chance to hit the ground, the thing was onto me, its clawed hands swiping me in mid-air like a baseball. I found myself spinning and bouncing off the ground like a skimming dam-buster bomb from World War II.
I hurried to stop my roll and was rewarded with my left hand breaking in three different locations and my wrist dislocating. Then finally a tree stopped me, just barely as it cracked and started to lean to the side.
Without the hindrance of pain, I quickly picked myself up as the Behemoth was already closing distance with me, bellowing and shrieking.
Rather than dodge, I simply thought back to how I beat a bunch of Archangels...
With a thought command, I was launched towards the Spine Behemoth at blazing speeds. Shoulder-first, I slammed into the massive beast's chest and was rewarded by the solid thunking vibrations of ribs breaking under the impact. Another thought command, and my energy sword inverted in my grip and I drove it straight through and upwards the creature's sternum.
Large claws grabbed at me, which my pulse cannons quickly took care of one, and wrenching the energy sword out and slashing across took out the other. With a thought command, my energy sword reverted back to normal in my grip and with a bounding leap, I slashed rightwards and cleanly sliced through the Spine Behemoth's skull.
The Behemoth clapped its jaws open and shut spasmodically before falling over, the top half of its head sloughing off from the rest of it.
I took a deep breath to let out a sigh of relief and immediately puffed out through my nose forcefully as the awful swamp smell reached my senses. "Bugger this place..."
As my left hand was stitching itself back up, I summoned a bottle of air freshener and tried spraying it all around me, but it didn't even last for a second.
Oh well... at least it was a good hunt this time around.
I summoned myself a cup of tea to enjoy before waking up.

    6. (10/11/10) - An Accidental WILD

      by , 10-12-2010 at 05:11 AM (LiveInTheDream's DJ v2.5)
Well, I've been having some trouble sleeping lately (not stress or anything, I just haven't been tired, so it's weird ), so I never would have expected to lucid dream...especially through a WILD. But after not initially getting to sleep until 12:30 in the morning and then waking back up two or three times, staying awake for half an hour, and then falling back asleep, I found myself wide awake at 6am or so, unable to go back asleep at all. At least, not for a very long time. I just lay in bed and tried to not think about anything, and after an hour and a half or thereabouts, I realized I couldn't raise my right arm to scratch an itch. At first I just tried harder to lift it, but suddenly it clicked in my head: "Oh! I'm in sleep paralysis!"

I started to hear a buzz, and I felt like I could separate from my real body and get into my dream body. I was quickly able to succeed at doing so, and then as I felt real life fall away, everything around me went white.

For a short while I lost all sensation of any body, but when the buzzing grew to an extreme, raging frequency, I found myself physically present in that whiteness, ready to transition to a dream, but unable to do so. I ran all about in the whiteness, knowing I had only seconds before I'd lose the dream, but still I was stuck.

"How do I get in the dream!?" I finally shouted in desperation.

"Just...jump down." A voice calmly replied.

I acted like I was jumping off a ledge, and sure enough, I descended from the whiteness and landed right on the floor in my room.

First thing I did, of course, was pinch my nose and try to breath in, so there would be no mistake about my state. I could only breathe out of one side of my nose with it pinched, but of course that was still enough. I then began to examine my environment. The realism astounded me...if I looked out the window, I could see for miles and miles, even though none of it was scenery from real life. I noticed a fishtank (which I got rid of years ago IRL) was in my room, and I could see my reflection in it with perfect accuracy.

Since I had something to work with, and needed something to do, shape shifting came to mind. I succeeded in shape shifting, but my control over it was very bad, so I ended up just distorting my face to a degree that felt very strange. Giving up on that, I decided I'd just go outside and fly to wherever the wind might take me.

Once I was outside, takeoff was easy, but I thrust my hands out in front of me, which I don't usually do for flying, and it threw off my balance and sent me to the ground. I tried flying a bit more, but couldn't get off the ground for more than a second, now.

Then I had another idea: why not just run somewhere really fast? But...now that I thought about it, I had actually been moving really slowly the whole dream. Running at all was a challenge. Running fast...well...that woke me up.

Not the best LD ever, but it's good to know that I'm coming back.

    7. 10/10/10 Zombie Lagoon

by , 10-12-2010 at 04:54 AM (New Dream Adventures of Raven Knight)
I thought I was about to wake up, so I told MoSh and Asuka that. MoSh asked if I couldn't dilate time, I said I certainly could try that, so I focused on Allura's method of time dilation. That seemed to work, the dream became stable again, so I figured we could keep going. I focused on opening a portal to find Kaomea, then MoSh and I went through the portal.

As MoSh and I stepped out of the portal, I looked around to see we were now on a beach next to what I thought looked a bit like a lagoon, or it at least looked like the lagoon I used to see when watching old reruns of Gilligan's Island… I looked closer and spotted Kaomea on the beach, she was looking out over the water and didn't seem to have noticed us yet. MoSh said her name, and she looked over at us with a weird smile on her face. She climbed up on a rock and slipped off all of her clothes, so she was now standing up there in the nude… I wasn't sure what to make of that… She looked directly at MoSh and then jumped into the water, turning into a mermaid on her way down and entering the lagoon with a splash. She surfaced and looked over at MoSh again, then proclaimed she likes swimming naked with men who have old souls… uh… I wasn't sure what to make of that, did it confirm she needed healing? Was that her normal behavior? I had no clue…

MoSh apparently took it as in invitation, as he waded out into the lagoon, I'm not sure if his clothes disappeared, but if they did, they didn't vanish until that part was underwater. Kaomea giggled a bit, it appeared to me she was a bit amused by his modesty, which I figured was because I was there. Kaomea hadn't really acknowledged my presence at all, and if she was going to want to get hot and wild with MoSh, that was something I didn't really want to hang around and see. But MoSh had seemed so sure that she needed healing, so I figured I would stick around for a bit longer and make sure nothing bad happened.

As MoSh and Kaomea moved farther out into the lagoon, I saw there was a whirlpool out there that hadn’t been there just a moment before. There were figures coming out of the whirlpool, too, which didn't seem too likely, and the things coming out of it were butt ugly. There were zombies coming out of the whirlpool, zombies that distinctly reminded me of the evil pirates in the first Pirates of the Caribbean movie, the ones that turned into zombies when the light of the moon shined on them. Of course right now it was daylight, and these zombies looked every bit as disgusting as the ones on Pirates of the Caribbean movie, and the strangest thing was a couple of them were whispering something to Kaomea. She was listening intently to them, then she turned towards MoSh and smirked. She said if he was her soul mate, she was going to kill herself right now so she could spend eternity with the zombie pirate to her right. My stomach churned and I thought I might vomit when she kissed the thing, kissing a zombie? That was truly disgusting, and when she pulled away I could see the slime of decaying flesh sticking to her face, though she seemed completely unaware of it.

First MoSh looked stunned, then he looked mad, leading me to wonder if he had somehow forgotten the reason we'd had for tracking Kaomea down in the first place, to heal her from dark energy infection. Apparently she was still infected, and those zombies weren't making things any better. And she was getting nasty, too, she was telling MoSh that there was no way that any woman would put up with the likes of him, that he would grow old and die a complete no one and when he did die, no one would give a shit, that all that would be left is for him to sink into the realm of the forgotten souls and rot there for eternity, she was laughing in a nasty manner…

While she was coming up with nasty things to say to MoSh, I had turned into a mermaid and swam out towards her, she still wasn't paying any attention at all to me, I figured that was fine… she didn't need to be paying attention for me to do a healing spell. She was saying more nasty things to MoSh that I didn't catch, and then I was focusing on Touch My Heart. Before the spell could really get started, however, MoSh was charging at Kaomea, getting mad at her for deceiving him, for playing games with him when she knew perfectly well he was seriously looking for Asuka's twinner in his waking life. I did a brief double take, but then I swam away from Kaomea and grabbed MoSh, I saw all the zombies standing around Kaomea laughing at us, she was laughing right along with them, I told MoSh to quit it, we had known before coming here that Kaomea was infected with dark energy, this was just a symptom of that. He didn't seem to quite get that, so I told him that I would take care of healing Kaomea if he could just keep the zombies off of us while I was doing it. He finally agreed to that.

So while MoSh was attacking the zombies, I went over to Kaomea and focused again on the song Touch My Heart, using it to pull dark energy out of her and replace it with light energy… if she was Asuka's twinner, then she should be using light energy… This time the song played through without interruption. I saw MoSh off to the side a couple of times doing an interesting version of underwater martial arts… and kicking serious zombie ass with it. One of the zombies got almost close enough to interfere with my spell, but MoSh interfered with him and kicked him so hard in the face that his head flew off. I was thinking MoSh had been acting a bit negative himself, so I finished Touch My Heart, directing some of the healing energy at MoSh, as well. After this was done I woke.

Note: I don't have any solid memories of when I was going to share a dream with both of them to try to remember music, but I am remembering some music that I don't think I've actually heard IWL.
    8. 10/10/10 Asuka Infected... Not Again!

Note: I had even more plans tonight than last night, it seems that when I have a lot of stuff planned that I have an easier time remembering the goals and remembering the dreams. That might be one reason my drought went on for so long, when I couldn't count on a lucid, I didn't really make any plans… This night I had plans to meet up with Kaomea, MoSh, and Asuka, and we were going to try to play some music and then remember it IWL. In addition to that I had a Law and Order: SVU dream planned with Tigress, so I figured I would be able to remember something and accomplish something… I started by using my light sound machine and slipping into a WILD…

I entered the WILD, the scene around me slowly became solid as the patterns of colors solidified into a consistent scene. Once the scene had resolved itself I realized I was in the front yard of MoSh's house inside his inner world, I was thinking that hadn't happened much lately and it seemed a good sign that I was appearing there now. MoSh was outside the house, I'm not sure what he was trying to do, but when he saw me he stopped and came running over to me, something was clearly wrong. He said now they were both infected, both Asukas were infected. Both Asukas? He said yeah, both the Asuka he has known for a long time and the dream self of the waking life twinner of Asuka. Kaomea was also infected with dark energy. I wondered who had been attacking Kaomea, but I figured that didn't matter until after she and Asuka were healed, cleared of the dark energy infecting them. I asked MoSh where they were, he said Asuka was in the house being kept there by Data, but he didn't know where Kaomea was right then. Ok, then, Asuka first. Both MoSh and I went into his house.

Inside the house I saw the normal place I am used to seeing, though I knew it had been a while since I had successfully visited there, MoSh indicated the stairs, so we went up there. Data was at the door to one of the bedrooms, I could hear Asuka in the room getting all kinds of angry and letting out expletives that might even make a drunken sailor blush… that was definitely not the Asuka I know… So I went into the room, I saw Asuka lying on the bed by herself, but as soon as she saw there was someone coming she summoned a naked DC and started making out with him. The DC was one of those guys that is pretty good looking, but looked like he was all good looks and physique and absolutely no brains. Of course since it was a DC, that was no doubt true. MoSh came into the room behind me and saw Asuka making out with the himbo, Asuka looked over at us as if she was just now noticing us. She told us to leave, she was making out with a real man for a change instead of the loser she normally hung around with. She looked over at MoSh as if she had spotted him for the first time, then she said there the loser was right now, maybe if he took some notes he could figure out how to be a real man, too.

That was just absurd, suggesting that her stupid DC was any kind of a real man, so I used my own dream control to alter her DC into a little wimp who got up off of her and revealed his 'manhood' was about the size of a small earthworm and just as floppy as a dead worm, too. He chuckled at it as he played with it for a bit, then he shriveled up and blew out the window on a light breeze, I told her that was how much of a man her DC really was. Now to take care of things, I went over to Asuka, who was a bit annoyed at me for bursting her illusion of the hot DC boyfriend, and I focused on the song Touch My Heart, drawing the dark energy out of Asuka and into myself, replacing it with light energy which she was supposed to have. The song finished with no difficulty, and Asuka was sitting on the bed looking at me, then she looked at MoSh, then she had tears in her eyes, though I wasn't sure if they were tears of sadness over what had just happened or tears of rage at the assholes who had done it… Asuka said this couldn't happen again, not right when MoSh might be meeting the girl he was meant to find, no one could be allowed to fuck that up…

MoSh said that Kaomea had been infected, too, so we should go find her and heal her. Asuka was apologizing to MoSh, and she was also cursing whoever had infected her, and she was fluently cursing them for infecting Kaomea… She said it wasn't fair for them to start attacking Kaomea, before Kaomea even had a chance to get used to the idea of shared dreaming and finding MoSh in dreams and that MoSh was her soul mate and… and… She said no only was it unfair, it is just flat out wrong, there was no way they should be allowed to do that. MoSh said we needed to go find Kaomea, then we could heal her and make sure everything was ok.

      … To be continued…

    9. 10/09/10 Pieces of Oblivion

by , 10-12-2010 at 03:41 AM (New Dream Adventures of Raven Knight)
Note: I had some plans to meet up with Tigress for a dream in the world of Oblivion. I managed to achieve my WILD, but even though the WILD was successful, I didn't wake up enough after the WILD to make myself take notes… and consequently all I remember are fragments of the dream. I really have to stop telling myself that I'll remember my WILD later just because it was a WILD… sometimes that makes absolutely no difference at all.

A fragment of Tigress and me walking down the streets of Skingrad, a city in Cyradil, the world in the game of Oblivion. There were other people wandering around and talking to each other. I did notice that they seemed to have more of a purpose than in the video game Oblivion, they didn't seem to be repeating the same mundane things over and over again, either. I didn't pay too much attention to all of the people, though, Tigress and I were heading somewhere. We finally reached a building in Skingrad that I didn't remember ever seeing before.

The next fragment included Tigress and me inside a house that looked appropriate for one of the houses in Oblivion, we were using dream powers to design it to fit our needs. Tigress was getting a bit impatient, wanting to go out and shoot stuff, but I was saying if we set things up in the house properly we would be able to meet up there more easily next time. To that end, we made three bedrooms to aid us in using FA's to our advantage. A bedroom that looks like mine, one that looks like Tigress', then one that looks like Silver's room since Tigress will sometimes be sleeping there. Finally that was done, so I set up a few mirrors throughout the house that could be used as portals if we needed it. Tigress was still impatient to go shoot stuff, so I said we could go out and find some enemies.

The next part of the dream that I recall involved Tigress and me in Oblivion, we were making our way down a canyon of sorts, there were steep cliffs on both sides of us reaching into the sky, and the path we were on was pretty narrow and it was winding upward, getting ever closer to the top of the cliffs. There were enemies everywhere, both on the path and on the cliffs overhead. The ones overhead were firing projectiles at us including balls of flame, arrows, arrows on fire… and even some lighting. Tigress was taking all of them out one by one with rapidly fired arrows from her bow, she seemed to be firing them faster than it would take to aim… But I didn't spend too much time considering her skill with the bow, as I was in a fight, myself. I had my Witchblade sword formed, and I was engaged in battle with several of the daedra right there on the path, keeping them away from Tigress, who was firing her arrows from a bit farther behind me. She was effectively keeping the enemies above from hitting us with distance weapons while I was keeping the melee attacks away from her so she could continue focusing on her archery.

The last piece of the dream I remember had Tigress and me in a large round room with the sigil stone in the center of the room, there was a beam of energy flowing from the sigil stone, and it was keeping the Oblivion gate open. Once again we were fighting. I was using my sword against the last daedra between us and the sigil stone, while Tigress, who seemed to have an infinite number of arrows, was taking out the ones trying to approach from the outside ring of the room. I took out the last daedra between us and the sigil stone, and still more enemies were pouring into the room, even Tigress' speed wasn't keeping up. She called to me to grab the sigil stone, but I didn't really need to be told, I was already grabbing the stone. Then everything went dark briefly, followed by a flash of light, followed by Tigress and myself hanging in the air a couple hundred feet over the forest below… I could see Skingrad from there very well, not a bad view… and then we were falling, and then I woke.
    10. October 11 - Random Locker Room scene.

      by , 10-11-2010 at 11:34 PM
[Note this dream is a bit strange]
I went into the dream and I was in the locker room at my school. A whole lot of people where in there and I open my locker and someone else's workout clothes & shoes were in my locker. I took it out and brought his clothes to him. He got mad that I had his clothes and the picked me up and threw me across the locker room. I landed against the wall (unharmed) and threw my shoe at him.
Right before it hit him it just disappeared. He pulled out a gun and shot. All that came out was one of those sticks with a flag on it that says POW!

And thats when my alarm went off. Kind of weird. But oh well haha.

    11. Strange, sensual and so real

      by , 10-11-2010 at 11:04 PM
He was the most handsome man I have ever seen or imagined. I can still see his face, but somehow my photographic memory is a bit blurry. I remember the main features, dark, long shiny hair, thick dark eyebrows, strong nose, soft lips, the whole tall dark and handsome cliché. He approached me and we were outdoors somewhere but I don't know where. Keep in mind I was able to see myself at times while at others I was seeing through my eyes. I remember my appearance being slightly more flattering than my actual appearance, but it was definitely me. He approached me and began to tell me how much he loved me. I didn’t know who he was, he didn't look even remotely like anyone I know or any celebrity, but immediately felt the same towards him. I remember being aware that I had really bad morning breath (which I later awoke to find that this awareness was more than correct) even though I was dreaming, and was somewhat aware that it was all a dream. I wanted to kiss him but wasn’t sure if he wanted to be kissed. Some of the hesitation was becaus of my selfconsiousenss of my bad breath, but he didn't seem to notice. It was almost as if he only wanted to kiss me if that is what I wanted and I didn’t want to make a move in case he wasn’t interested or it was innapropriate, because I only just met him and didn't know who was or where we were. I just remember staring into his eyes for what felt like a long time, then finally as if I was aching for it we began to kiss the most passionate kiss the memory of it gives me chills even now. Then suddenly, and here comes the really weird part, a shadow was cast upon us, I look up to see a large flying craft. It wasn’t the typical disk shaped UFO, it was quite elaborate for the imagination/dream of someone like myself who knows nothing about even cars let alone air craft. Not like anything I have ever seen before and I can still remember it fairly vividly and if I had any artistic ability at all I would try to draw it. I am so ignorant to mechanical functions I wouldn’t even be able to describe it. Moving on, I remember asking, or somehow communicating to him, not certain that it was verbal, what it was. He takes my hand, next thing I know we are in a room with yellow walls (I don’t know if this is significant but yellow is my favorite color, and that is probably the only part of this dream I might have any explanation for.) We began kissing again, as passionately as before, I remember his hair being so soft, and there was this overall softness all about him like a feather, I couldn’t take my hands off of him and he couldn’t take his hands off of me. We began to have intercourse and it felt so good, so real, and I didn’t want to stop but I felt this overwhelming guilt (I suppose because I am married but I don’t recall any clear thoughts at the time as to why I felt this guilt) and after about a minute I pulled away. He was still smiling and he didn’t make any move to stop me from ending it, he seemed indifferent about whether we continued or stopped. He told me (again I don’t recall any verbal communication, just knowing that this communication somehow took place) that he only wants whatever makes me happy. I awoke feeling as though I’d had the most wonderful orgasm and there were signs that my physical body had quite enjoyed the dream as well. I have never had such a vivid dream, at least not a good dream. I have had some pretty crazy nightmares, but never a happy dream, let alone a sexual dream such as this one.

    12. The man in Red, and Ninjas! My first lucid dream.

      by , 10-11-2010 at 08:03 PM
      This happened completely by accident!
oomg thanks!!!!!!!! i dont care hah this is important to me. --- First of all I guess i should add, I've NEVER tried lucid dreaming or done any techniques to obtain it. This just happened to me by accident tonight the reason im posting is because my mind is blownnnnnnn. I just a crazy dream I had my first Lucid dreamtonight!!!!!!!!!!!
I was about to fall asleep when my friend called me and was like hey see if i left my wallet in this dudes car after the party last night.
I was like ok and started to try to sleep again i remembered and texted the guy about the wallet, then this girl texted me again as i was falling asleep.
I texted her back she replied once more and i then got a text from the guy with the wallet haha.
So then I rolled over and just tried to sleep i guess.
I feel like I should have had a jumping awake dream, because i almost notice a few patterns about my dreaming state now that I've had this dream.
a pattern that I've had jumping dreams or falling when i keep texting and waking myself up rite before i fall asleep multiple times.
Or for instance, I have never been able to consciously wake myself up.
I've also never been able to realize that it was day time in my dream and that I know it's night time in real life.
So anyway, idk if I was just thinking and eventually crossed into the dream state,
where your sort of daydreaming then realize ur dreaming and jump awake.

But anyway I was long boarding down a semi familiar parking lot in an apartment complex. I had two long boards.
I was riding them like one foot on each vertically. like I had them longways.
I was riding and it felt completely normal to have two long boards and be riding them like that. I then like went into a parking garage or something, and Inside was a station wagon.
I kinda wanna say I got creeped out by it or maybe I didn't want to run into it so i got off and started long boarding in a different direction,
I then was outside again on the other side of the garage, when i encountered a slightly chunky, tallish guy in red.
I don't remember the exact chain of events here.
I think I was totally creeped out by him and like did a spin kick to him and it kinda pushed him back a bit but he was virtually unharmed,
      and quickly recovered.
I turned to run away, with an almost invisible friend who was with me (after fighting for a sec).
He would sometimes be there but when I think about him, he wasn't there and would appear and help me fight the guy in red.
As I turned the same man in red was behind me. He sort of appeared.
I sort of just realized I was dreaming, I think because of the illogicality of the double man in red. So about the chain of events,
I don't remember if he appeared and then i decided to kick him because i knew i had control of the dream,
or if I was creeped out. Kicked him then realized.
But anyway one of the guys came at me and in a split second I realized I was dreaming,
and sort of made a mental command for him to stop. He instantly froze.
The other guy came and I did the same thing. Then I got this crazy wavy feeling inside me, almost like sleep paralysis,
if i could imagine what it would feel like to have it. I almost felt like maybe I was waking up into sleep paralysis,
even though I've never had it, but it was more like i felt like the cover of fear and loathing in Los Vegas.
I felt like a pulsating wavyness inside me. All throughout my physical body,
but i felt it in the dream and more of a reality distortion waviness.
Almost like in movies when someone wakes up from a dream they see that visual wavy rippling effect.
I have no idea. But I felt that physically and visually sort of.
I felt wavy and like an incredible surge to wake up, like I was being ripped out of the dream.
Like I was still fighting the jumping awake feeling.
Like as i kept realizing my consciousness within the dream I felt as if it was triggering me to wake up.
An inner sensation invigorating me to wake up.
I then maybe opened my eyes slightly or maybe caught myself just in time.
It was almost like i was rising out of the dream but had time to think about it.
Not alot of time but it was like instead of jumping awake i had a chance to barely catch myself.
I remembered something about, thinking of an object in real life or something,
I don't remember what i thought about but I thought about fire or something
and like I sort of was sucked back into the dream or never fully left.
Then I was back at the dream, it was like the setting I was in originally on the front lawn of the apartment building,
but I think the red guy was still frozen or gone. But I still remembered I was awake or re realized again,
and I got the wavy feeling but i kinda overcame it.

So then I was like well if I'm in a lucid dream I can do anything.
So I was like " Ninjas!" I said a verbal command which I felt symbolized the image I was simultaneously creating my head.
I imagined a detailed dojo and a little squad of ninjas. It took a split second to create this image.
then there was a sort of outdoor monastery or kungfu place, with high walls and mountains peeking over them. and a squad of ninjas in the middle. Then I thought about fighting them, since that's why i created them. DUH! haha and they came at me in a sort of characterized manner.
I began fighting. But I'm not sure if I actually was fighting or if i assumed I was
because I almost feel like moving made that wavy feeling come back.
So I was fighting and if I ever started to lose or get hit I just said stop.
Thought a command at the same time. everyone would stop.
I think I either don't remember part of the dream or lost control for a sec,
because I was kinda cornered in a bathroom with all the ninjas masks off.
But I was only fighting one.
I said stop and he stopped and i started to walk out,
but became distracted and for a split second he started moving again but i reiterated the stop command in my mind.
Anyway, I then realized that i had been dreaming for 5-6 minutes probably, and i sort of felt the ability to lift my head.
I tried, and it felt possible, but my head felt heavy, and I'm not sure if i was even moving it.
Even though I only tried for a split second.
Then I sort of just decided it had been long enough and I should wake up
and like got the feeling again and like woke up, but then I wasn't sure if I was awake,
so I had an instinct to look at my hand to see if it was real for some reason.
Then I remembered hearing something about like reading stuff,
and it looking weird or being like indistinguishable or a different language seemingly.
so I looked at my clock.
as I was sitting up and looking over, I saw my phone charger on my pillow or a portion of it and jumped because i thought it was a bug.
So I'm not sure if i was awake until that point or if i was awake before.
So I looked at my digital clock and realized it had been an hour ( if not 2). and I could read it and i felt awake.
But i wasn't sure still kinda. so i sat in awe for a minute thinking about what just happened,
as a mind safeguard so I feel uncomfortable passing it kind of.
This dream also felt distinguishably different.
Then i was afraid to sleep for a while but I finally went back to sleep around 7am and had at least 2 more dreams, one of which involved my girlfriend which I'm taking a brake with.

    13. 1st lucid! :D

      by , 10-11-2010 at 06:37 PM
Ok so I finally had my first ever lucid dream since I've been keeping my dream journal. Here's how it went: starts out in my house nothing too unusual going on my foster mom and dad are in their room laying down and I'm walking around the house, in the living room there is a large woman working a bar that sells some delicious cakes, she seems to like me but I'm more interested in the cakes, when there's is only one left she tell me she can't sell anymore so i go to my sisters room and find my friends psp. Finding his psp in her rooms bothers me because i'de been asking to borrow the thing for ages and he wouldn't let me so i pick it up and start battling (He had the new birth by sleep kingdom hearts game; fitting for something in the dream world.)eventually i go into the game and start running around, though it's no longer kingdom hearts its more mario/zelda themed and i have a sword, Somehow i run into my friend Butters in the game and he wants to try a sword trick he's figured out we do the trick and somehow i think the trick is relevant to a reality check so when it causes me to appear back in my parents room from the start of the dream, i realize hey it worked and start walking around the house seeing if i can gain some dream control. I try to make some grapes appear to see if i can do it and there are like three, another interesting thing to note is that my friend came with me from the game back to the house (along with a few others) but in the transition he turned from Butters in the game part to my friend randy once we got back to my house.
    14. Iron Maiden Concert [Lucid]

      by , 10-11-2010 at 06:07 PM
This has been my longest lucid to date. The dream itself felt like it lasted probably around 30 minutes or so, but reflecting on it, it feels so much faster than that.

I don't know exactly when my lucidity hit me, but I just know it did. However, prior to being lucid: I was in some lodge like area with someone I didn't recognize. out of the blue I was told that Iron Maiden (and more specifically Steve Harris) would be arriving momentarily. I turned crazy with anxiety. The moment they arrived I asked them to sign whatever I had, and they ended up signing my Zero shirt. I don't remember much else, except at one point I couldn't walk and collapsed to the floor because I was so filled with joy.

Somehow, the dream transitioned to a concert arena. Like I mentioned, I don't know exactly what triggered lucidity, but it happened. I started walking around trying to meet people. There was a loot of people obviously. I remember walking through a crowd at one point and I saw a completely original face of a girl-- not one from my memories-- and she just stood out. I don't know why, but I felt she was another dreamer, somehow in my dream. She looked just as confused as I was to see her. I walked up to her, held her close and whispered in her ear "I'm Markus. Remember this moment." as I leaned back to look in her eyes they widened greatly, and she simply dissipated-- maybe she woke up, maybe I'm crazy and it was all me from the beginning-- who knows!

I went back to a seat and sat down to see if my dream would make Iron Maiden perform. and they did. a strange moment followed where a row behind me, several people started singing the lyrics to a song (I can't remember which), but they were horribly monotone. I also remember it wasn't one of my favourite songs. After this occurrence, Maiden went off stage for the encore part and the crowd was restless. I realized it's my dream, Maiden doesn't get to have a break! I shouted "Play another song!" and bam, they were back on stage, playing music again. I listen to a lot of music, and one thing I've noticed about my mind is I really have songs engrained in my brain. when I'm in dreams, I can have music playback to me just like an MP3 player. I kept shouting "Next!", and Maiden would switch to a completely new song. it was exhilarating. Eventually they finished and I decided to walk around and check out the crowd some more.

somehow, in the midst of walking around the giant rows and rows of chairs, they started to shrink more and more until there was about 2 rows of chairs, and the setting changed to my room. I didn't want this to be where I was, because any time I'm lucid and it's in my room, I end up thinking about waking life too much which ruins my lucidity and wakes me up. I've tried the spinning method before to change locations, but I've never been successful. Until now. I thought of traveling to a Forrest type location, and spun and spun. I could see the faint imagery of trees and clung to it. I was teleported to one of the most visually stunning landscapes I've ever seen.

It was a majestic looking country-esque location, seemingly in the middle of nowhere. Rolling grass fields in the distance, and closer to me where two houses, both with interesting log-cabing-esque looks to them. I went past one into the 'backyard' per say (there were no fences or boundaries)..and saw an amazing view. The season was somehow a mix of summer and fall at the same time, and it was gorgeous. Trees had no leaves, but there were many of them--and all across my field of vision, these strange sunflower things were floating around-- I'll try and recreate an image. It was as if the heads of the sunflower plants were just floating from the sky, and it was beautiful.

They looked roughly like this (sorry for quick and sloppy photoshop) :

I kept walking through this beautiful scenic field until I came to a mountain. I gazed up at it, and already knew what I was going to do. I thrusted up from the ground and took flight. As I flew over it I was speechless..I started loosing altitude, but I realized it's because I was too focused on trying to fly-- I just had to know that I could fly. and it picked up again. After that, I remember mumbling to myself "You are the one, neo" (I'm a huge nerd). I came upon a city scape quite fast and landed in it. I remember I was changing a bunch of things completely on the fly-- the city seemed to have a lot of police and SWAT members in it for some reason and it was giving me a bad vibe-- so I just willed them away. Poof. gone. The city also looked kind of dark itself, like it was build some time ago, not like slums per say.. but just old. I decided to change that. I said "lighten up these buildings" and they were transformed into newer looking gray skyscrapers. I kept changing small things here and there until I was distracted. I realized I should probably have some sort of goal, and was put off that I didn't know what the DV task of the month was, because it would have been an excellent time to do it. Shortly after I spent time thinking about goals, the dream collapsed and I woke up.

This was my longest lucid to date. It was absolutely astonishing. I cannot wait for more.
    15. The light fixture is very definitely round, and now... now it's square... I'm dreaming!

by , 10-11-2010 at 05:22 PM (The Lab Notebook)
Awake, Non-lucid, Lucid, [Commentary made while awake]

When my 6:30 alarm went off this morning, I was still sleepy, despite having gone to bed just after 10, and I felt somehow sure that I'd have at least one dream that I remembered if I slept in for another hour, so I reset the alarm for 7:30. Luckily, before I fell asleep again, I remembered that REM cycles take 90 minutes, so I reset it again for 8:00. [I'm not entirely sure in what order I had the following dreams, nor am I sure whether the first one took place before or after the 6:30 alarm, but here they all are.]

I open my eyes in my bedroom and immediately notice that the light fixture in the center of the ceiling has a square cover over the lightbulb, like the light over the shower in my real bathroom, not a round cover like it does in my real bedroom. I say right out loud, “That light is wrong, so I must be dreaming! HELLS TO THE YEAH!” I get out of bed, but then stand just inside the door for a few moments, trying to figure out whether or not I can still breathe through my nose while pinching it shut. It seems I can, but only a little bit. Confused, I give up trying to figure it out and leave the room to say good morning to my mom. She's there, just like normal. I go back in my room and, still hopeful that this might still be a dream, try to walk through one of the walls. Again, it doesn't work; the wall and I are completely solid to each other.

The Dream King is talking to me. [Not the one from The Sandman; it's the gryphon from the Rankin-Bass version of “Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer.”] He says something along the lines of, “When you summoned us for fun times earlier, you bounced and lay down. The next time you do it, could you lay on your back first so the palace doesn't get shaken around?”

I'm in a park somewhere with P. We have to go through it to get home. There are all these dogs running around, and she protects me from them just by knowing how to act confidently and politely toward them. At some point, we end up riding bareback on a horse through the park. I can feel the horse's hair. Eventually we get to an escalator and start riding up it (yes, still on our horse). It goes up into an enclosed chamber with animatronic figurines in it, designed to look like the riders of the escalator are coming out of the mouth of some giant creature. There is some kind of audio narration playing, thanking us for visiting this attraction. When we get to the top of the escalator and exit the chamber, we're on a street.

The 8:00 alarm went off for real, and I recalled all of the above. I went out of my room and talked to my mom.
Me: I just had a really confusing dream. Is this the first time I've come out to say hi to you this morning, or the second?
      Mom: The first.
Me: I thought so. That's what I dreamed about.
After I'd confirmed it, I started feeling happy and proud about having another lucid dream.

      Meta-commentary:

The WBTB+MILD technique seems to be working well for me, at least giving me interesting dreams with good recall, if not consistently giving me lucid dreams. I've found something that works for me, though, so I'm going to keep it up. I was making the effort with my MILDing again last night, but I could be putting even more effort into it. Also, I had my cardboard-square bracelet on for most of the night, but I think I took it off when the 6:30 alarm went off because I was tired of wearing it. I'm not sure, though, so I can't say whether or not I was wearing it when I had my lucid dream. Finally, I shall have to remember not to rely on the nose-pinch RC so much; it served to confuse the issue rather than to clarify it. Next time, I'll try the finger-counting method.
