    1. Stalled Limo

      by , 05-29-2014 at 08:25 PM
Morning of May 29, 2014. Thursday.

It seems to be early evening; not quite sunset. A limousine has stopped under an overpass (almost fully in its shadow except for a small area of the back) on a seemingly lesser-used road or cul-de-sac parking area because of car trouble. An unknown female gets out and stands near the left-hand side of the car. She seems to be about thirty or so and is standing, but leaning against the door a bit, with one leg up a bit (such as when one is putting on or taking off a shoe in public), implying the number four.

A school girl walks by on the left-hand side and says “Hey Annie” in a familiar way (extremely vivid - almost like an actual event), but keeps walking. The other female does not say anything and is probably annoyed by the car stalling. The school girl seems to be carrying some sort of smaller duffel bag over her right shoulder and seems to be wearing a black martial arts outfit with somewhat shiny golden thread making up some inseam patterns. Nothing else happens, but I get the vague sense that there is a fence on the other side of the overpass at ground-level and an abandoned small factory building to the right in that area. This is probably wrong, as it would not make that much sense for the school girl to go there (unless she plans on climbing over the chain-link fence or the area is used as a hang-out) or the other female either, unless the chauffeur had gotten lost or the other female is interested in old abandoned factories.

    2. Levitation

by , 05-29-2014 at 07:11 PM (Schmaven's Dream Journal of Randomness)
I am trying to log into a computer at work, but don't know the password. After a few attempts, I just try blank for both and it works! As soon as I log in, a young kid excitedly runs over with two boxes and tells his parents about these two pedals he found for his guitar. They ask him what their draw rating is. "I'm not sure" he tells them. "Well if you don't know that, you probably shouldn't be using any pedals at all" they say discouragingly. I think that was uncalled for.

I get up to leave, and find myself in a small lobby room, right next to a larger, nicer cafe area, both filled with friendly people. In this lobby, waiting to leave outside into a cold wintery night, the group of us are sharing what we liked most about the event we were all at. One woman says, "The most memorable thing for me was the levitation. I don't think I'll ever forget levitating like we did" I agree with her, levitation is amazing, and a lot of fun. I slightly change my state of mind, thinking that this is just like a dream, and everyone in the room levitates for a moment, but it takes a lot of energy and concentration to do this. I rest, knowing it is possible.

A monk is next to me, wheeling a pallet of mountain dew out the door. I load a few cases onto it. He has me stack them in a criss crossed pattern so they don't fall off as easy. (lol for energy?)

    3. Zombie Apocalypse

      by , 05-29-2014 at 06:14 PM
I just woke up and need to copy everything I did down before it escapes my mind. So the structuring might be a tad off from how you should normally write but bear with me and read it if you want, it was definitely an experience

5 of us found a complex, almost like a school. It was night out, it was dark inside with just a few red hazard lights going off. I was trying to be quiet but some were arguing and being loud along the way. At one point we were in some kind of lobby, discussing our plan. I was looking around the hallways at this point because this place looked safe, I thought we should stay so I was peeking through the glass on some of the doors and could’ve sworn I saw someone looking back at me but would hide as soon as I looked. How strange it was. I told the group but they said I was hallucinating. We ended up hearing zombies ahead of us and coming through hallways, tons of them. We somehow made our way out the back, after we had killed many on the way (I was wielding 2 sharpened crowbars, they worked nicely) , and into the streets where barbed-wire fencing was placed like a maze. We all split up here, in the street. 3 of them went over the fence on their way, the other 2, me and my brother, made our way back into the complex. We were running and panting trying to find a secure room because we heard something coming, almost like some electrical buzzing. We were running down the same hallway that led us out of there before and we looked right and saw a room with a couple lights on. We enter it and lock the door behind. The lights were actually LEDs from camera monitoring systems, like someone had been watching us the entire time we were in there. We also found food, a working sink with soap, and I found Gatorade under the sink. My brother decides to take a nap, he needed it. I notice a woman in a yellow shirt on some kind of scooter coming down the hallway and I see her blurry figure through the glass. I tried nudging my brother to wake up but he’s a deep sleeper. She opens the door and we just stare at each other for a second. “Who are you?” she asked me. I replied, “I’m Kyle, who are you?” She then said, “I’m Kyle.” I then told her Kyle is a good name and began telling my story to her until she led me out of the room back into the hallway where she told me what was really going on. All of a sudden, a couple people run into the room and said they needed to go on a run. With my brother still inside, the room is actually an ambulance, the hallway actually a loading area, and it takes off into the zombie-infested streets, but the woman, Kyle, told me everything should be okay. So I walked by myself down the hall and ran across a barricade of zombies blocking my path. I literally had to jump/run across it because it was just a messy pile of bloodied zombie parts with the hands still trying to grab at you. When I made my way over the pile, I saw a huge amount of water flooding into the hallway from a room with blood mixed in it. I continued that way and watched and listened as some kind of pump was sucking it all back inside the room. I turn the corner and my jaw dropped. It was a makeshift laundry mat where people living in this complex were taking off their clothes and giving it to the people who were working the laundry. I stumbled in and watched as men and women were stripping down and waiting for their clothes to be washed. It was definitely an interesting sight. I was actually kind of nervous and had my mind taken off the zombie apocalypse for a minute because of all the women. I left the room and ran into an old friend where we then made our way into some cafeteria and they fed me. I met the guy behind the earlier, electrical buzzing noise and he showed me it was actually a tiny helicopter with a camera attached, and he flew it around the room. He said they had to be careful and watch what our group did to make sure we were good people. We told our stories, laughed, for the first time in a long time, and the dream ended.
    4. A Date With The Romanian Cute (Tumblr Would Be Jealous)

      by , 05-29-2014 at 05:22 PM
Look at me, haven't successfully had a lucid dream in a week and I started to worry about my ability. Today's dream showed me that I have nothing to worry about, and what the heck I was doing wrong all week: attempting WILDs when I wasn't fully relaxed. It also must have been the accidental WBTB, as I had been awake for 2 hours but dozed off.

There's a building where lots of stolen merchandise has been found on the roof with no explanation. Even more unusual is that the building is on a university campus. Dad and I go there for a political meeting. He keeps talking about corrupt politicians and holding them accountable. I'm just tagging along because he can't drive. In the elevator, we're given a brief glimpse of the stolen goods through the ceiling of the elevator(?). Then we go to the meeting, which is being held in a classroom. They're doing standardized testing in the same room. People mistake me for a student and hand me test papers and a pencil. I'm a bit surprised to see them opening a hidden panel in the wall to get to the pencil boxes. I start assembling a plastic storage container to hold more pencils, but then I realize it will be too bulky to take it with me, so I disassemble it. Now I notice that the pencils are being kept in pink kid's shoe boxes. Someone hands me a school newsletter. It's got to me one of the strangest ones I've ever seen because it has packages of candy and food attached to it. I unwrap one of the slices of cheese that comes with with newsletter and munch on it as I try to read it. I'm actually kind of pissed that the university hasn't spoken publicly to students about the stuff on the roof or how they should deal with the media attention. I go to say this to Dad, but when I look out the window, I see a plane flying upside down.

I watch with terror as the plane keeps climbing and falling, all while flying upside down. It's going to crash, right? Why am I the only one who has noticed, and why doesn't anyone else care! It's because I'm dreaming. I take a moment to revel in how realistic the dream is. Then I consider what I should do. I briefly remember the Jack and the Beanstalk task, but then I remember that I've been doing task after task for a while and I want something more personal, something romantic. The scene changes to a ballroom, with me wearing a fancy one-shouldered formal dress. I touch the edge of the shoulder strap and I'm surprised that it's metal, not fabric. It's more like some kind of necklace holding the dress up. Then Cute Guy showed up (and I realized I've been spending too much time on Tumblr). I think he's going to dance with me, but instead, we head outside and have an intimate little chat. He asks me what I want, and I ask him to take me to Romania, which makes him laugh. But we somehow end up in a Romanian castle. He takes me to this bedroom with a four-poster bed and whispers to me, "This is where we're going to conceive our first child."

I "wake up" in a sunny bedroom in a house that is unfamiliar. I'm absolutely buzzing over the fact that I not only had a lucid dream, but that I had a lucid dream about a date with Cute Guy. I look at the clock and it seems later than I realized, and I remember that I have a meeting to get to. I'll have to write this up later for my dream journal since I'm running late. I start to look around for something to wear, remembering that the pajama top I wore last night was a bit sheer. Then I remember that I'm alone in this house and no one's going to care if I run around naked. I step out of the bedroom and head down a large spiral staircase. Light pours in from the floor to ceiling windows along the front of the house. I live here? This is awesome! I head outdoors (wait, wasn't I wearing the sheer pajama top?) and find myself rushing across a college campus with friends. My goal is the campus bookstore to pick up a tote bag to take to my meeting. My friends are grumbling about security not removing people trying to sign students up for credit cards. Almost as if on cue, several of them appear in our path, trying to push "free" beach towels on us. "You've got to admire one thing, though," says the girl next to me. "Think of how good their willpower is. This guy goes to all the college parties and he's not allowed to pick up any girls!" And then I wake up for real.

      Lucid

After a dream, in my bed I did a random nose plug. I could breathe! I walked out of my bed and walked around for a bit through the dark. I decided to try to fly through the ceiling like I've done in the past. I flew up but didn't make it through the ceiling this time. I fell through the ground as if it were an illusion and found myself falling through a void. I saw something on the ground and couldn't make out what it was, but it was supplying a wee bit of light. I stopped falling and was suspended in mid air. Then, a huge dragon appeared! I could only see it's head, which was about twice the size of my body. As I was looking at with great interest, it smelled my feet and smiled. I was trying to figure out what was going on when it pulled out a gun and pointed it at me! I grabbed the gun and we fought over it for a couple of seconds before I woke up.

I thought about this dream when I woke up, trying to figure out what it meant. The dragon smelling my feet was a huge clue as my eczema on my feet has been acting up in the hot weather. I mused about how I wished I had talked to the dragon to try to figure out what it represented and went back to sleep.

Later on this morning, I was watching a cartoon in a building when I became lucid. Wanting a bit of space I jumped out the window to the sidewalk below. I fell through the sidewalk just like the first dream and back into the void. I looked down and sure enough, there was the dragon again. I could see his whole body this time which was pretty cool. Anyway, I was suspended in the air again right next to it's head.

"Ah, you again! What do you represent?" I said.
"What do YOU represent?" the dragon said, obviously trying to avoid the question.
"I represent myself. What do you represent?"
      "A health patience!" it responded.
With this knowledge, I banged it on the head with my fist, apparently defeating it because I was freed back to my normal dream world. I woke up before I could do anything fun though.

I didn't have very good dream control today but at least I defeated the dragon!
    7. She Can Help Me

by , 05-29-2014 at 05:09 AM (Schmaven's Dream Journal of Randomness)
Driving around town to post flyers at different shops, I realize that it is a lot easier with a car than on a bicycle. I notice the front windshield is cracked all the way down, and should be fixed, but I am prioritizing fixing the engine if anything on this old clunker car. I look at the different shops around, a liquor store, a liquor accessory store, and a sandwich shop that's not quite opened yet. I go in the sandwich shop and get the owner's attention. Asking about leaving some there, he says I can leave just 1. So I do just that, and walk out the door. All the other shops are closed because it's too early in the morning.

Driving down the road with my friend, it's very snowy now. I tell her I want to go somewhere, but don't tell her where. I get stuck at the bottom of a hill in front of the house I grew up in. In 3rd gear, the tires just spin. I downshift to 2nd, drop the RPMs a bit, and do better, but still not enough traction. A couple cars drive past us easily.

We get out of the car and climb up the side of the road, but it is also too slippery to walk. We just fall and slide back down. I try again, and am more gentle with my motions, and stick my fingers into the snow for more of a hold, and climb up successfully. I point out some bushes under the snow she can grab onto. We get to the top and sit down to rest.

Sitting right on the ground, I realize how cold my fingers and toes are. Having had frost bite a few years back, they get colder easier, and it wasn't a good idea to stick them right into the snow like that. I tell my friend "This is why I don't do stuff like this anymore" as I shake my hands to indicate they're really cold. She tells me I need a girlfriend to help me warm up. I think she's right. I remember my good friend from school lives right about here. I point off to the right where a house stands a few hundred feet down a long driveway and say, "That's her house"

We're now in a car, with another friend from school, and he asks me if she's my girlfriend. I tell him, "No, but I like her. I'm not sure what will happen between us though." He asks me, "How long have you known her?"
      "Since going to school"
He pauses to think... "So ,bout 3 years then?"
I don't answer, but think there were 3 years of college, plus 4 of high school, and a few more after college, so more than 8.

We drive past a cool fun looking part of the forest next to the road, and suddenly I'm outside, walking in it. Admiring the cool trees, and space between the forest growth, I walk alongside the road. It looks even cooler above a ridge. I climb up a steep hill to go there, but once I see it, it is just a regular forest, and the part I'm already on is prettier. I hold onto a few branches as I make my way down the steep part. A couple of them break when I grab them, making it a risky descent. I reach a point where there are only a few trees to hold onto, then it is too steep to walk. The trees are good sized, but I test them before committing to their support. Each one of them breaks loose from its base and falls down the hill. Happy that I didn't go for it before testing them, I notice my room mate who I hadn't seen before behind me.
"I don't know about this man, I'm turning back" he tells me, and walks away. I follow him, it is an easy route. Once I am low enough near the road, I turn around, and take a safer path alongside the road this time.

I stumble into my dad's house, with a girl I really like accompanying me. We go upstairs toward my room. She goes into my room right as I notice my younger brothers and sisters are home. They run up to greet me. I give them all hugs and we talk a bit. The youngest tells me, "I didn't think you were coming home so soon!"
"I didn't know I was either - It's good to see you!" I see my dad and step mom, and greet them too, getting a sort of cold response from my step mom, but I forget about it.

Remembering the girl I was with, I want to spend more time with her, so I invite her outside to help me mow the lawn. It seems like a strange request, but I don't really intend to mow the lawn, I just want to get her outside.

Suddenly, I'm outside, but with my other room mate. He asks me about mowing the lawn. I tell him, "just a little path" and point to a path that is already mowed. I grab a hand powered mechanical mower and start pushing it. He grabs the electric mower and asks me if it would be better. I tell him, "It would be, but I'm just doing this little area here, so I'm just gonna use the old school push mower." I push it along the path, and it churns up dried cut grass, cutting a bit of the new growth as I go.

Now, the girl is with me, but it's winter. I feel like once we get away from the house things will be better somehow. I have her follow me, but it is a long journey. We are outside already, but under the porch. At the edge of the porch, we climb down a fence, then go under a stairway with a low overhead, and reach another climbing part. I try to make sure I'm not out-climbing her, unsure of her skill. She is keeping up just fine.

...woken up by my room mate, the power went out, he wanted to make sure I wasn't late for work. I have the night off.
    8. Lucid Dream: Pigging Out...again

      by , 05-29-2014 at 02:18 AM
I just remembered another lucid dream. It was actually the same night in Coyote Gulch, so I probably could have included it with the other LD from that night. But since I haven't posted here for a long time I think I will make this a whole new post so I can feel more active on DV.

      LD:

Something (now forgotten) triggered lucidity. I flew around and then landed next to some people who had a plate piled up with cookies and cakes. I decided that this was my chance to be a total pig and eat it all. At first I felt slightly self conscious about the people next to me whose food I was now eating. But I reminded myself that they were not real--just as this food was not real, which was the reason for me eating it in the first place. I picked up huge cookies and pieces of cake and stuffed the whole things into my mouth cramming in as much as I could. It was all fairly soft. As is typical of this sort of dream for me, the food's flavor was less strong than in real life, but I could still taste the sweetness, but it just helped encourage me to stuff even more in, in hopes of tasting it more. I also remember eating chocolate covered pretzels as well.

I know I sound like a huge pig. And I know I do this fairly often in my LDs. But I guess, it is so much better to do this in the privacy of a dream than in real life.

Unfortunately the chocolate covered pretzels made me crave real ones and after we climbed out of the canyon and entered civilization again I bought a package of them. I had earned them, after all, by hiking with a 45 pounds pack for 6 days.

    9. Forest, Telekinesis and Sage Mode !

by , 05-29-2014 at 12:00 AM (My Lucid Dreams)
Lately I've been looking for a way to get rid of the "Imperium" and find a another way to get more dream control easily without relying on dream items. I decided to adopt naruto's Sage mode !
I don't know what imma do with the Imperium yet... maybe give it to a worthy DC ?
Anyways, it had been over a week since my last lucid dream, so it's nice to get an interesting lucid dream to start again.

      Telekinesis in the woods

      Lucidity: 8/10
Control: at least 6/10 (didn't get to experience much)
      Vivacity: 8/10

I'm walking in the woods with a bunch of people, one of them is a girl at my school, I don't recognize the others. We're in a coniferous forest with lots of leaves on the ground; I can't feel the temperature but it looks like a rather hot area.
I notice a pound in front of us; there are big, smooth rocks around and in it. I become lucid with a hand RC and suddenly remember both my goals: meet my dream guide and master Sage mode.
...meh, I'l just do that later
There's water here, and I haven't waterbent a lot of times... why not tonight ?
I walk up to the pound with the intention to make huge water dragons and stuff like that and I try it out for a second... for some reason I'm not pushing it, I don't feel like focusing too much. Instead, I just get on my knees and lift up less than a cup of water by telekinesis. I can see the distorted trees' reflections in the small ball of water that I've made. The ball is no bigger than a small tangerine.
I let the water fall and ripple all around in the pound, and then try again. I'm sorta frustrated from earlier (the water dragon failure) but I'm still not really trying, maybe because I want to try and enter Sage mode and I know my control will be much greater then... it's almost pretentious of me, like "oh I won't spend my time on water bending, I can do much more impressive!".
I quickly get up on my feet and take a few steps backwards. I sit down in the leaves, and "meditate". I wasn't planning on closing my eyes, but after a second, I feel confident enough do do so. I close my eyes, and slowly start to count. I'm having an internal battle with the dream, trying to stabilize it without moving.
      Five
I open my eyes. I am not seeing my face, but I can feel that I do have the orange "stuff" around my eyes.

      Secret To Flying,(i think)-naruto%25u00252bsage%25u00252bmode%25u00252b2.jpg

I stand up, and make a rock levitate in between my hands.
      Meh
I walk up to a trees, and notice that lots of rocks are scattered around it. I nod to the girl from before, and go "watch."
I lift my hands up and all these rocks lift with them. As usual, I can feel the weight of the rocks when I lift them up, but it seems lighter than usual.
I let my arms fall back down, and so do the rocks. A (blond?) guy turns around and asks me do do it again. I do it again and hold the rocks in the air for a few seconds, then back down. He says that it's cool that I can do this with such ease.
"I can do much more," I say.
I feel like showing off a bit more.
I walk to a big rock, about one and a half time as tall as than me. I concentrate on it for two seconds and lift my arms again, still without really trying, and the rock lifts up in the air. I move it backwards, and then turn around and let it fall. I'm looking at the guy waiting for his reaction
, when I have a false awakening and loose my lucidity.

    10. Tom DeLonge and Jillian Michaels

      by , 05-28-2014 at 11:38 PM
I will catch up with a couple of dreams that I have had recently that have stood out to me.

I notice that I have certain people that I dream about regularly. Two of the people that I dream about are Tom DeLonge and Jillian Michaels. It seems like once I dream about certain people it's like they have permission to keep showing up again and again. Seems to be a pattern.

      Jillian:

I was in some sort of a game show. The questions were all about athletes. I was starting to panic since I felt I knew nothing about the types of questions they were asking. My turn was going to come up soon. Suddenly Jillian came to me and told me she was give me a hint. She handed me a little jacket of hers. All over the front of the jacket were pieces of jewelry pinned on it. She told me that my question would be what was her favorite piece of jewelry on that jacket. Then she walked away. I was grateful for the help, but as I looked at the jacket I realized that I was in just as bad of a predicament as I was before her "help". How was I supposed to know what her favorite was?

But then I looked closer. I saw a tiny carved wooden dolphin. I suddenly recognized it as something that I had carved and had given her. I suddenly was so grateful. Not only did I know the answer, but I felt so flattered that my dolphin was so special to her.

      Tom:

I don't remember a lot of details except that Tom was hanging out at my house. He was going to go with me to visit my grandma in the rest home. I thought that was so cool of him to do. He also told me he had a bunch of clothes that he was giving me.
    11. Lucid Dream: Making Out and Flying though Solid Objects

      by , 05-28-2014 at 11:19 PM
I just realized how long it has been since I have written down any dreams. What a shame since I have had some decent ones in the last few months. My lucids have been few. But I have had enough to know that I'm still a "lucid Dreamer". If I put more thought into it I could increase my numbers significantly.

My last LD was a few weeks ago while I was on my backpacking trip in Coyote Gulch. I always like to have LDs when I am in cool places. It makes the experience more memorable.

So I will share it now.

      Lucid Dream:

The start is fuzzy. I do remember something occurring that made me question reality and I started to fly. I was pretty happy because it had been a while since I had had an LD. I remember just trying to get the most of my flying by trying to feel the wind and movement. I remember the dream starting to fade so I rubbed my arms with my hands and then hugged and rubbed my body with my arms.

I remember seeing this guy and wanting to make out with him. I remember sitting on a couch with him. I know he knew I wanted to make out, but he was looking back and forth between me and his girlfriend that was sitting next to him on the other side like he was trying to decide what to do. I told him, "If it makes you feel better, I'm not real." And then I added, "For that matter she isn't real either." But as is typical of most of my dreams, I thought he was real. I told him when he woke up and his "girlfriend" and I were gone, he would be glad he made out with me in this dream.

I don't remember much about what happened after that. I think we ended up kissing a little. But nothing too memorable.

Then I was flying again. I seemed to be inside this large old building, like a cathedral. I was near the top. I saw this pane of glass. As I got closer I was that this window had two panes. I suddenly had the desire to attempt to fly through them. In every LD I try to do something that I either haven't done before or something that is a little difficult for me. This way I feel like I am growing in my lucid dreaming skills. I have had trouble in the past flying through solid objects.

So I flew at the window and started pushing myself through. I went slowly and there was some resistance, but I was going through--which made me feel successful and happy.

Unfortunately that is that last thing I remember doing. At some point I woke up.

    12. Snake-Kong and the Mouth of Hell

      by , 05-28-2014 at 06:46 PM
Okay, this is a bit of a long one with a lot of miscellaneous actions, but the really interesting parts are in red...

I stood in a circle with a large group of people at an outdoor celebration of sorts, headed by the owner of the restaurant I work at. He spoke for a while, then we all dispersed to mingle.. however there was a colossal snake slithering around the entire time, often getting close to me. It was about twelve feet high and was extremely wide and long, with huge beady eyes. It was a mottled brown and black color. I told a couple people that I would go and meet the snake, but I knew he could smell fear and it scared me. I walked around a while, talking to DCs and avoiding the huge snake. Eventually I was outside a large tent-corridor a distance from the gathering, and the snake came through. It kept trying to come through various doors, but I would zip them up before it could enter, though I was letting it smell me so that when I came toward it, it would know me and be friendly. A DC distracted me by pointing out a comic behind the snake that I knew explained its back-story, but I couldn't see it clearly.

The snake transformed into a massive gorilla, like King Kong. He charged through the door, grabbed me, and picked me up, taking me a distance away into the night. We spoke a while, and though I can't remember the details, I knew that by talking to me he learned about the concept of death, of which he had been blissfully unaware before. I also knew that he associated the concept with me, which made me feel threatened, though I was acting cool, calm and interesting on the surface. He wanted to show me a trick, as he had apparently spent his life forced into circus work. He threw me lightly into the air, and though I could imagine him tearing me in two with ease, he lightly caught me. I let him throw me again and relaxed myself utterly, and knew pure joy as I knew I was safe in his massive grasp. We went inside, and I was now friends with the snake-ape. There was a council of his owners. I attempted to slip past them, but they offered me a breakfast fajita, which I politely accepted. They began to talk to the proud and insolent Kong, who was newly awakened to the concepts of mortality. One of the chiefs asked, what were you talking about? I responded, we were just talking about life. Technically true, dream self, well played. The gorilla was talking about his past, perhaps his mother had been poached by the corrupt council. They attempted to assuage him with soothing, honeyed words that shuffled the blame from them. One woman turned into a bird and massaged his back with her claws, which he liked. Before I figure out the conclusion, I awoke.

Wake, sleep, dream. I was in a classroom without a teacher. The kids were passing around bowls and bongs and getting ripped, myself included. Then, authority figures entered and demanded we register our drugs, mainly acid, as weed was still illegal. I kept the bubbler I had hidden under a blanket.

I was home again, and my mother left, exhorting me to be moral. I got in a car with some friends and went to a hill near my house to smoke the ganja I had left over from the classroom. We went into a massive trailer and sat in a circle. A couple other friends came in, along with a guy who must have lived there, then they left to go adventuring. I sat and smoked a bit, got bored and left. I came across a group of women playing volleyball in an empty swimming pool, and saw others climbing pine trees. The hill was well populated. I walked down to the university gym and saw more girls playing volleyball, and some guys playing a game. There was food on the sidelines and many morbidly obese players.

Next, I was at a camp or retreat of some sort. We were all hanging out and I was acting a clown, cracking jokes and goofing off. I went to the bathroom, walked in and cleaned a urinal, then walked out. Turned out I was in the ladies restroom! A couple guys followed after me, too. A tall, extremely beautiful woman came up and laughed about the mix-up, and I told her she now had to use the guys, because it was all mixed up. She had writing on her lips. I offered to kiss her, but she asked, right or left? I said, right, and presented my right cheek for her to kiss. Later, we played a game like hide and seek. I decided to hide in a box, but couldn't decide between one or the other side of the room, so I didn't have time to get the box closed, and was immediately caught.

I'm in a magnificent cathedral. I'm with someone, and see a friend about to go play a guitar onstage, and he waves at me. A priest walks up to me, and asks, are you confident?to which I simply say, yes.He leads me to a wall. There is a small, tight mouth, an opening, on the bottom of it, covered in runes and glyphs, wrought in beautiful stone work and pouring out red and orange. It looks like the mouth of Hell. He says something to the effect of, it's good you're confident, you'll need it, or we'll see, I can't remember. I barely fit in the gap, and began a slow facedown descent, using hand-holds on the passage to keep myself from tumbling. I see two scorpions, and wonder, why am I down here? I'm not even Catholic. After a while of indecision, I exit into sunlight and fresh air. Another priest stands there and asks, what you doing? The real challenges are ahead, you must face your demons.I pathetically say I need shoes, look down and I'm wearing them. He extols me to have courage and continue, so I go back into the mouth, down, down, down. I'm on a stair case that's unbelievably cramped, with hundreds of even tinier scorpions that I run over, worrying that one is in my shirt. I'm now in a dark, quiet and misty stone corridor bathed in glowing white and blue. I enter a room to the right, and find myself looking at two animal spirits floating over stone wells. One I can't access, but the other purports to be a mirror of the soul, and speaks proudly and with disdain. From a third person perspective, it consumed me, and I now look like Harry Potter. It was all fire within, and he discussed a Reformation of sorts. Whether the historical one, or a personal one, I don't know.

Then, there's my brother next to me. He has a beautiful amulet and he gives it to me to help me. I thank him, and awaken.
    13. 28/May/2014: Lucid Dreaming, OH YEAH.

      by , 05-28-2014 at 03:14 PM

After I woke up in the morning I went back to sleep and started lucid dreaming. I'm getting experienced in this, At first I tried to do a few things in the lucid states but I woke up a few times. I just went back to sleep in the lucid state then! I believed "I am lucid dreaming" Prior to falling to sleep and then I did it, All while believing "I Am Lucid Dreaming" instead of finding a way to be lucid after falling asleep.

I thought I should remain doing things I can do in a lucid dream, And at first I wanted to turn myself female but that didn't work at the time as I kept getting too close to my physical body? I then found I just imagine it instead of physically moving. Then, I flew since flying is something I can do in a lucid dream that keeps me aware of dreaming. This is a whole world of itself, You can let your imagination run wild in it - Want to see life as the other gender in a lucid dream? You can!

I also had a dream that had to do with Pirates of the Carribean on this morning and it involved the scene (Or a re-creation of it) where Elizabeth's hand was cut.

EDIT: What was I, drunk with ignorance when I wrote this? Who has insight about what's going on (and what isn't going on) here? I'd like some aid, please.

    14. Task of the Month for May 2014

      by , 05-28-2014 at 02:04 PM
I started with an amusing dream about a time trial downhill skiing / cross country rollerblading competition which started off quite believable but slowly changed into a mad dash down stairs and escalators in a strange shopping centre slash airport type location. After a while of whizzing through this odd location I reached a sort of semi lucidity in which I has a sense of the unreality and flexibility of the situation but wasn't lucid enough to call it a dream. There were bunches of dream signs but I didn't recognise them as such at the time:

      * old place of work/workmates
      * feeling of familiarity without knowing where from
      * feeling in an unspecified rush
      * repeating sections of activity (going down the same slope multiple times)
      * more that I can't remember off the top of my head

I had a very brief awakening, during which I realised that the preceding was a dream and I now had a chance of a DEILD. I think I actually had some non-lucid dream to start with, but I have no memory of the content. When I gained lucidity I was in a sunny location with stone terraces and balconies. I remembered the TOTM and immediately spotted a large block of sandstone which I decided to try to levitate by The Force. I doubted myself for a moment because I knew it would be heavy and I didn't want to jump in at the deep end too much. Fearing I might just get frustrated by negative expectations, I briefly considered finding something smaller to levitate, but then realised that I could just make the rock lighter, which worked beautifully!

After that I thought I'd move on to to the cinco de mayo task. I was about to go off in search of a bar but realised that there was one conveniently just behind me! I sat at the bar and asked the barman to share some slammers with me. I've only had tequila slammers once before (not much of a fan of tequila, really) so I got a bit confused about the process and ended up chugging a whole glass full of lime segments rather than just biting one, but I reckon that was close enough!

I lost lucidity a little after that and drifted into a strange dream about being late for work, then woke up to realise I *was*!

    15. The Practice Effect Mist and the Golden Bicycle

      by , 05-28-2014 at 11:28 AM
Morning of May 28, 2014. Wednesday.

There is a long first section to my dream where my wife Zsuzsanna and I are living in my older sister Marilyn’s house on Loomis Street. (She died this year in February.) It seems unusual that we now apparently own her house, especially as this was a rented house in real life and my sister had lived in a different house for some time after I came to Australia (though this erroneous factor occurs continuously in my dreams, as I never saw the house she had moved to after my move to Australia). I am aware of Marilyn at one point but when I look up she moves swiftly “in reverse” back to the kitchen (as if I were rewinding and resetting my dream). I notice a pile of clothes in one bedroom that belong to my brother-in-law (still alive) and my sister.

Later, I am at the front of the house. I have an old bicycle that I will be riding east down Gillette Street. At this point, I feel very good, though I am somewhat concerned about the traffic. However, there are not many cars after a time. I am able to ride the bicycle without incident. After going east down Gillette Street about two blocks, there is a (fictional) bicycle shop to my right. I still feel very good, but I think the bicycle needs to be fixed up a bit. I go into the store and have the bicycle set up near the center of the main large room so that I can work on it. The owner is behind the counter and does not even seem to notice me (until later).

I have a special bottle that resembles a small cylindrical spray-cologne bottle with a light blue tint. The liquid inside it that sprays out as a mist is virtually infinite. This has something to do with “the practice effect” in that the more I use, the more will be available and the more effective. In this case, it is a mist filled with nanobots that automatically clean, repair, and build even as they continue to improve themselves with a more and more efficient design. I spray the mist on rusty spots on the bicycle and over time, more and more of the rust is gone to be replaced by the original chrome surfaces. I spray it on the seat and the black seat takes on a copper sheen and transforms into a different shape.

The bicycle shop owner comes over with an unknown male customer and I say how the seat will now be more comfortable when riding. At this point, a bicycle seat falls onto the floor from a high shelf behind me. I point at it and say, “What a coincidence. I had just mentioned ‘bicycle seat’ and one fell from the shelf”. The other two males appear to be perplexed.

I continue to spray the mist over the bicycle and it becomes more and more newer-looking. I decide to add a headlight. I spray over the front of the bicycle and the invisible nanobots build a very nice-looking chrome headlight. There is a larger rectangular area on the bottom for a brighter light and two small eye-like squares near the top for signal lights. I also create better brakes and go back over the surface. Eventually, the bicycle, though with chrome aspects, also has copper and gold sections. I study the difference between the copper and gold nuances and I am satisfied. I notice several other features of the shop turning copper and gold over time, including parts of the shelves, checkout counter, and so on.

Eventually, the owner seems puzzled by a section of his bicycle shop, which seems to have partially expanded into a clothing store with craft store aspects more to the east. A few sections of elongated clover-shaped copper and gold felt pieces have ended up on the floor. A few other customers are walking around. It is not quite clear what he is looking at. At one point, it looks like two pieces of golden-colored felt sewn partly together with a bit of stuffing coming out. It seems like a propeller for a large stuffed toy airplane.

This dream borrows from the science-fiction novel “The Practice Effect” by David Brin and additionally uses the typical dream ability of cleaning and improving dream features.

For new readers or inexperienced dreamers: Something falling off a shelf is precursory symbolism representing getting out of bed, especially as it is a pillow with composite autosymbolism relating to flight. A shelf is autosymbolism that signifies being unconscious, analogous to being in bed. This dream is autosymbolic of the natural vestibular system ambiguity of REM sleep, biologically resulting in associations with falling, flight, or both. Therefore, it has no relationship with waking life or interpretable factors. An airplane is often only an autosymbolic extension of the physical body during the vestibular system ambiguity of REM sleep. Therefore, it is usually unrelated to waking life. In this case, only the propeller as a pillow is present. A pillow is a dream state indicator that represents increased awareness of one’s real environment while still in the dream state and is sometimes precursory of “The Periphery of Lucidity” as in many childhood dreams, and although my dream becomes more and more vivid, apex lucidity does not initiate. Preconscious RAS mediation remains passive here, as a checkout character being autosymbolism for exiting the dream state, likely due to my (subliminal) willingness to wake and harmonious attitude about RAS factors. In my childhood, I typified this common type of dream event as “failed flight waking symbolism”. Use of the word “failed” does not imply a negative connotation as it is a biological dynamic of waking from REM sleep. Therefore, attributing conscious self meaning or waking life meaning is unintelligent. A bicycle is also relevant to vestibular system dynamics, not as dominant as a fully featured airplane. Gold symbolizes a more viable closeness to the conscious self identity while sleeping.
