    1. Boring dream.

      by , 02-03-2011 at 04:53 PM
I am in the store, Aldis, with my mother. It was like I was a teenager again. We were picking out food to buy. I was putting it in the cart. There was hardly anyone in the store, which is rare. At the checkout, it is a self checkout with no cashier. I see a teenager around 15. I think to myself, I'm around that age, although in real life, I am not. I start packing the groceries in various bags. I had picked out many bags of marshmellows but some of the bags broke and are spilling out the marshmellows. I begin picking them up, throwing them in a garbage container which took me some time to find.

Some of the shopping bags, being plastic, also seem to have hangers attached to them. I'm thinking that they are for clothing or certain groceries. I go to pack away a gallon of chocolate milk and the container starts to come apart. No milk spills out but I wonder why in the dream. It sort of pulls apart. I'm thinking, in the dream, gosh, there are so many groceries. This is a lot of work! I look at mom and say, see, if you had went to Jewels (a different store) this would have cost you $700 but here it only cost $100. Cashiers nearby hear me.

Yep, boring dream. Don't even read it. Oh, but if you got this far you probably already did.
    2. Needy Old Lady & Waking Up at the Right Time

      by , 01-31-2011 at 01:43 AM
      a
Dream 1 : Needy Old Lady
Not waking lucid but dream lucid, I could remember past dreaming experiences and fully knew it was a dream.

I was on the road behind my childhood home just walking along. I was not lucid but I knew this was a dream. I say some other people ever now and again. Towards the end of the road there was a young guy who looked something like a young Bob Saget, tall, lanky, very skinny, black hair combed over, he was flanked by an old woman who seemed to be annoying to him. She kept talking at him as if she wanted him to say something or understand her motives. I walked besides them. Then she saw a sitting area on the corner of the block where about 20 people were sitting in a circle waiting for something. I had seen this here before in the dream world, it was like an outdoor deck but this was round, on the corner of the homes property near the street and had seating benches in that circle for 2 levels of seats, with a railing around its perimeter. Strange but not too much, still I am not sure exactly the meaning of it or what it is supposed to do. People always sit in it like they are expecting something to happen. The annoying old lady saw it and abruptly broke away from her “victim” almost bumping into me. I stopped short and she turned to me and said “excuse me.”
I saw her sit down up there and exhale like she was finally resting after much stress. “I am finished with life!” she said leaving me to believe that she was between lives instead of being a dreamer. “Freeing isn’t it?” I said, “Yes” she replied with a smile. I walked on up the bigger road to see what else was around. After a few seconds I felt her presence behind me, and to my left, and when I looked she was in the appearance of a Halloween rubber skeleton! I’ve seen stranger appearances but I had to roll my eyes at this one, this was a little weird. The old lady was blathering on about some inane trivial nonsense obviously trying to have my attention. I didn’t give it to her and just kept walking and looking ahead.
She started to feel my legs like they were unnatural to her and my back and stomach a bit (These were all her height as a little skeleton woman). “Oh you’re so real!” she said as if expecting something unreal. “I am real” I said with conviction.
Then the way she was talking changed a bit and when I looked back she was now a little pig woman, with the body of a pig but the face of a woman but with the snub nose. This had to be something she had perfected in her own time, it takes a bit of thinking and manipulations of feelings to get something like this to work. She was saying something about needing help so I picked her up. She sat up in my hand saying something, then I thought that her butt in on my palm, and though this is a dream, it is still disgusting. I shifted her to both hands in front of me so I could toss her out in front of me giving her a bit of a head start. I got a feel of her though and she didn’t feel like a pig instead she had an icky type of old-lady-skin where it is very thin and slips a lot right under the skin, almost how chicken skins slide around on the wet meat after being cooked. This creeped me out so I put her down almost tripping over her. The scenery turned into a home like setting, a long home where we could walk around it like one of those homes that are museums. She was still chattering away as we walked by people to each side of us who looked to be dressed in clothes from the 1700’s. She started to ask why I wasn’t attracted to her. Exasperated I said “I can’t have a relationship with a pig.” She protested a bit with some squealing.
Then she changed into a cow-lady! Now she had a fake cow body like if you were wearing a cow costume, but only knee high to me, and her face was her full woman face with white cow coloring. So she was a tiny fake cow woman. I turned and looked at her and said “Udderly ridiculous” Then I motioned like “get it?”, she was not amused, I walked on. Then she talked about some things she had done to help people as if I would like her for these things she’s done, but by now I was beyond pretenses and was on to have as much fun out of this as I could, so in mock adoration I said, “That’s moo-tastic.” She just stood there exasperated as I walked off and hoped she would not follow. I watched a woman ironing with a hot flat iron in her 1700’s era kitchen as I walked away.

      Dream 2: Airport
      Still dream-lucid

I was in an airport parking lot and while looking for something interesting to see came to a 18 wheeler being loaded by 3 young adults. I gave it a look and walked in. They paid me no attention. I came to the back of the truck where boxes were piled high, bored and a bit angry at this place, I laid down on the trucks floor. If they thought I worked there maybe someone would get angry and give the place some life! A young woman who held herself like she was in some kind of charge of this work asked the guy in there looking at his clipboard about me “Is this guy working?” “Yea he’s working” the guy said surprising me a bit but I decided to play along for a bit. I got up and followed her to the pile of boxes in the middle of the trucks trailer that had to be sorted “They have to have the info down” she said refereeing to the mailing address info on the boxes. She turned to go back into the truck more and tell me something but I realized this was my chance to freak her out, I could wake up, pulling myself out of the dream area with no apparent way to have left. I willed my real eyes open and could still see her portly self in her red hoody as an after image.
    3. When terrorists attack!

      by , 01-23-2011 at 11:46 AM
This is strange. I was hanging out with my friend, Jordan. We were walking to his house when he said "Crap, I gotta' put that board on our door." I was like "What are you talking about?" He said "So the terrorists don't attack my house." I was like "What???" He was like: "Ya, you know? Like in the Bible? How they had to put a cross on their door so that God wouldn't kill their first born child or something?" I said: "WHAT?????" He said: "Ya, the terrorists are attacking our town. Really soon. But actually they won't really do anything except for be annoying. They'll flip over your couch, break your TV, hide your remote, you know." (Which is strange since I guess they were just attacking the Madison (Wisconsin) area or something and EVERYONE knew about it EXCEPT FOR ME (and nobody tried to stop it). So we put the board on his door and went into his house. (Which was like... 8 stories tall and had about 5 pools in it. It was SWEET) And then when I went back to my house my TV was broken and my chair was ripped. It sucked.
    4. Dreaming of Writing Down My Dreams While Semi-Lucid

      by , 01-19-2011 at 03:06 PM (Burke's Nightly Escapades)
Since my normal dreams are in red and my lucids are in blue, lets have semi lucids be in purple!

I just had a FA from a previous lucid dream i had, but at that time i didn't know it was still a dream. I rolled over in my bed to face my dresser and noticed my DJ wasn't there. I snapped my fingers and said for a pen to be there, and it was! Howeverr, this only got me semi-lucid. I could still use all my powers, but i couldn't control anything. Now that i had my pen, i said out loud, "Notebook!" and one appeared. However, when i opened it up it was already full! I had summoned a filled notebook, great. I said out loud again, "No, Notebook!" and another one appeard, this time a bit smaller and not as rigid, and seems like it was held together by tape. I opened it up and noticed that this time, there wasn't as much writing, but it was still used. It looked like notes of a scientist or something, lot's of jumbled up texts with a mix of funny symbols. I repeated one more time, "No! BLANK NOTEBOOK!" and so it appeared yet again. This time, i eagerly went through it and finally, it was comepletely blank. Nothing written in it. I smiled a little and started to write down key words about each part of the lucid. Here's where the sucky part comes in. I CAN'T REMEMBER WHAT I WROTE DOWN!!! This pissed me off too, because i could tell that it was a really long and epic dream. Infact, the only thing i remember from the lucid itself was thinking of how awesome it was and how i couldn't wait to write it down!
    5. Zombies, and I Prove I'm Mean

by , 01-09-2011 at 04:54 AM (From the Drowsy Mind of a Mouse)
"The first rule of Zombieland: Cardio. When the zombie outbreak first hit, the first to go, for obvious reasons... were the fatties."
      Columbus, from Zombieland

Zombies were everywhere! Actually, no. The zombie apocalypse was actually kind of sad. There were only like, what, 7 or 8 that I saw? Total? What a gyp. Nonetheless, there were zombies.
I walked (of course I didn't run. Can zombies run? I think not!) to my grandfather's house from slightly down the street. I tried to enter the front door, but it was locked. Figures. So I went to the back and broke in through an unlocked window. Then I locked the window.
I went to my grandfather's living room to spy my brother and my Gramps.
"What?" Gramps yelled. "When did you get here?"
"I snuck in through the back. The front door was locked," I said.
"You should have knocked!" he shouted.
He had a point. I went to the front door to keep watch. A couple zombies walked by, and one bumped against the door, but then continued on its way.
I went to the kitchen to get a glass of water and returned to see my classmate Carolyn outside.
"Hey! Let me in!" she asked.
I don't really like her, so I said, "No," and made sure that the door was locked tight.
I went back to the kitchen to get some more food, then returned to the door. A zombie walked up to it and pushed it open. I began to shove on the door to try and close the zombie out. I wasn't scared, just more annoyed at the entire thing.
Then I woke up.This dream was dull. I don't even like zombies. And these zombies weren't even the exciting type, they just strolled along like a bunch of idiots. Only one opened the door, and I was able to shove it out and make it go away. Idiot zombies.

These zombies are so darn annoying.
    6. Fragments of my digital ruin

by , 12-22-2010 at 02:33 PM (Struggle for Lucidity)
This isn't as much of a dream journal as it is a document of an attempt to lucid dream. I was lying in bed, ready to DILD. I had performed the following RC's on the same day:

      • Pressing my tongue against my teeth
      • Counting my fingers
      • Looking at the clock
      • Pushing my finger against my palm

When I was falling asleep, I noticed the darkness of my eyelids get darker with every few seconds that passed, darker than my surroundings (I was in a room with no lights. I started falling asleep at 1AM.) and it was like I was slowly blacking out. At some undiscernable point I had a picture form in my head (not a hypnogogic hallucination, it was...weird) where I was in the point of view of a soldier, holding that one rifle from ARMA 2 (I've been playing it for like a day straight, so that came as no surprise). My vision floated above the gun and the field of view went all botched and stretched and I felt like I was floating up. "I'm going lucid! I thought. But, I wasn't. After a little floating I realized I was still in bed, so desperate to dream that I'd somehow faked a lucid dream when falling asleep. Disappointed, I went to sleep, hoping to reality check and realize I was dreaming. I had Really's Ultimate MP3 on as well, hoping I'd do an RC by reminder if not by habit.

I woke up in the morning disgruntled. It was 12:01, and I was trying to remember a slice of dream. But I couldn't. I couldn't remember anything which happened during my sleep. Now here I am, angry and irritated. If you can think of something which would help me to remember my dreams, go ahead and comment with that information. I'd love to hear it.
    7. Thought I was awake

      by , 12-13-2010 at 03:17 PM
      (Non lucid dream. )
Last night I had a really hard time going to sleep. So when I finally was asleep, I dreamed that I was still laying awake in bed. The thing is, I normally do RCs during the night every once in a while, and I don't know why I didn't during the dream. Well, then I actually woke up and I could have kicked myself. I had missed my alarm that was supposed to wake me up at 3:40 so I could WILD. Oh well. I tried to WILD anyways, but when I fell asleep, I just dreamed the same thing over again. I'm disappointed.

    8. Wierd Christmas Dream

      by , 12-12-2010 at 03:05 PM
This dream I had last night was really convincing. It was Christmas in the dream and everyone in my family was there, (well by that I mean my mom, dad, sister, and brothers...) and the only thing that seemed weird was that my older brother had long hair and he didn't seem to care at all that it was Christmas. That should have made my do a RC but again, I didn't. Ugh. Then I opened a present and inside was a distorted guitar stand that was just...horrid looking. It was twisted and just, yuck. That should have set me off too. But it didn't!! Well, that's all I remember at the moment...so, bye.

Ugh, it's hard to do Lucid Dreams. Especially WILD. -_-
    9. Crazy amount of dream fragments

      by , 07-04-2010 at 08:23 PM
This night I slept very light, awaking several times. That caused me to remember fragments from many dreams. A fun fact is that I felt strangely well rested despite that light sleep.

      1st dream:

I was in some house in a forest at night with a friend, can't remember who. It was my house. Suddenly a fire started and quickly spread through the house. We left and entered the forest. After a while we started to get chased by Uffe (my dads friend that I haven't seen many times in my life. Strange appearance) and some random villain. They were going to beat us to death so we ran back to the house.

The house was now completely in flames. It was like a wall of fire at the entrance. I thought "If they are going to beat us to death I might as well jump into the flames since it would be a less painful way to die!" and so I took a step into the entrance and instantly died. I became a glowing skeleton. It was a quite strange sensation. My friend followed. When the bad guys arrived and stared into the burning doorway I though "Now when I am dead I don't need to fear them. This is also quite cool, so they might appreciate it as well!" and then I pulled them into the fire. xD They also turned into glowing skeletons. I don't have any clear thoughts on what happened after this.

      2nd dream:

I was at my parents place in the kitchen. Dad was there working on getting some LP player device to work. Apparently it was old and didn't work as it should. After a while we tried using it to record a radio channel on a VCR tape. The channel was foreign from australind (lol xP) so there was a lot of noise and flickering on the TV.

      3rd dream:

Some fragments about doing slomo-acrobatics. Don't really remember it. But I had it written down when I woke up in the morning.

      4th dream:

It was morning and I was sleeping in the top bed of a bunkbed and I felt really tired. I wanted to sleep more (might be related to the fact that I woke up several times irl with that feeling). Suddenly a whole bunch of people entered the room. Among them my friends and brothers. I got very annoyed because they were so noisy. I remember trying to fall back asleep while they poked me and asked me stuff. I got so annoyed that I hit my brother several times in the face with a plastic box (It was really weird because I never get that annoyed irl :S) xD. He didn't seem to care though. I threw the box in my other brothers face. I felt bad at the same time for being so lazy and annoyed.

      5th dream:

I was biking with someone outside. It was spring time or something because it was extremely muddy everywhere. I had to bike in the mud and it was very slippery.

      6th dream:

I was at some uni or something at a convent. I was there with Lucas but there was a lot of other geeky persons there. One event they had was to read the lord of the rings trilogy together and I thought "wow, that is soo geeky! They are also extremely fast at reading so they must have read it much before.". Me and Lucas were going to read the hobbit/lotr/some strange book. In some way it was like studying physics because we quickly found a problem in the book that we began to think about. Similar to a problem in a physics book. Suddenly Lucas said "Oh, it is easy! We just have to do a Ljung effect!". I instantly agreed. That was obvious! To do a Ljung effect was to apply some formula (fun that Ljung was a psychiatrist and not a physician lol). I started to look up the Ljung effect formula in a physics book and that is the last thing I remember.

      7th

I was playing with my parents cat. As usual I scratched it on its stomach and it bites when you do that. This time it bite me harder than usual. It wouldn't let go of its grip and it bite harder and harder all the time. I knew now that the cat was evil. There was something wrong with its brain. It was not curable.

      8th

I was in my room at my parents place and Peter and my brothers was there. They talked about something random. I went to my mineral shelf (that doesn't exist lol) and pulled out a meter long quartz crystal. I showed it to them and told them that the chemical compounds of quartz are sulphur and silicon (which it isn't, it is just SiO2). They didn't seem to care much and I don't remember anything more

      9th

A faint fragment of some game of tag that I played outside with my brothers and some random very young kids.
    10. Restless Night, Annoying Dreams

      by , 06-09-2010 at 03:12 PM (Hazel's Boiler Room)
It's days like this when I really don't even want to write my dreams down. But, to show my intent to recall, I guess I will.

      1- Laptop Thief
My crazy neighbor is going to be house-sitting while we're away. I am the only one aware of her nefarious plot to steal all of our electronic equipment. Fearing for my laptop, I know I must take drastic action. While she is distracted, I run into my parents' room and hide my laptop under their bed. ((Because that SUCH a good hiding place. )) Infuriated, she declares that she won't rest until she gets her hands on it.

    11. Afternoon of February 13th 2010

      by , 06-08-2010 at 10:12 PM (Slash's Mind Cave)
This afternoon, I was on DV chat (awake), I was tired, so I lay back, and fell asleep. I don't remember now the dream I had then.
I woke up, and I never moved. I thought to myself "Hmmm, I feel like DEILDing" so what I did was, I kept still, and I just simply said to myself "I am dreaming, I am dreaming, I am dreaming..." and as I started to fall asleep, the most amazing thing ever happened.

All of a sudden, I felt as if I was being spun round and round in my bed, still in the same spot, just being spun really fast. I felt like I was awake, so it was extremely strange, but I knew it wasn't real (I was also still telling myself "this is a dream"), so I enjoyed it while it was there.

Then I was in a building, I think it was my bedroom. But I was still being wooshed about by something invisible, and it was taking me around all the places I have become lucid in the past, and a few other places, as if it wanted me to choose a place.

I found it annoying that it wouldn't let me go. It then took me to the house of an old friend of mine. And I was starting to get quite annoyed that it wouldn't let me go, so I struggled out of it just as the thing was about to take me to somewhere else.

I couldn't stand up properly, it was as if I was very very drunk. So I sat down. And the room changed to something of a similar shape, but it wasn't my friend's house.

Some really good looking girls started coming in, and of course, the first thing I thought was that I should take this opportunity for sex.

But... The crucial thing that I had forgotten. The thing that I have been trying to get into my thick skull, is that any time I think about having sex in a dream, I start to wake up. EVERY SINGLE TIME.
So of course, I woke up before I could do anything.

So, I was pretty pissed off at myself for making the same mistake I always make. I need to remember to stay away from sex in dreams, at least until I master attaining lucidity, THEN I can start to fix my problems.

But, this dream was not a total waste, because of that experience at the start. That was very very amazing.
    12. Morning of October 16th 2009

      by , 06-08-2010 at 10:00 PM (Slash's Mind Cave)
I was in this big room kind of like the first room of the "Nacht der Untoten" Nazi Zombies map on Call of Duty World at War. And instead of zombies coming, it was spiders. I think there was someone else with me, and we were kicking spider butt.

I woke up, I sat there on my bed, I couldn't be bothered doing anything, so I went back to sleep.

The moment I fell asleep I was in a dream and I said to myself, "I think I will just have a regular dream", then I said to myself "hell naw, if this a dream, I want to be lucid", and of course I had realised I was dreaming.
But, as I said that, my dream slowly faded away, I started to feel my real body again, I was panicking at this point, which didn't help.

Then after a good few seconds I was awake, I was quite annoyed, so I lay there, not moving, picturing that dream scene in my head and telling myself I will keep awareness. And I slowly came into a dream (lucid) I could see everything was back the way it was. But, I felt my real body again, I could feel the really uncomfortable heat of the sun coming through my window. And the dream slowly faded away again, this time it was like object by object, rather than the full thing fading away.
And I woke up, I did the whole DEILD thing again, and I saw my dream scene again then woke up.

This happened a couple of times before I realised it is pointless, because that sun was just making it so unbearably uncomfortable, it just woke me up every time.

      So I just left it.
