    1. Seemingly First Lucid Attempt

      by , 05-31-2016 at 08:47 AM
OK, so the dream started like this. I was at a Concert, it isn't clear which band, I Don't remember anything about the concert that much. But after, I was in this weird location with lots of mattresses and beautiful women, I looked into a window with these women having a dinner party, it then told me that this place was a special place for people to have sex with women.

After This, I was in my School Corridor for some reason, and, I realized, ''Wait a Minute, I'm Dreaming!'', and tried to run to my School Courtyard and Summon Down a Mech. But I don't think I've got the hang of it yet, I need more training, more reality checks, I need to try and make my dreams properly lucid. But it feels weird when you attempt it.

      Any Tips?

    3. 12\4\12 My first attempt to lucid dream

      by , 12-09-2012 at 07:55 AM
During the night of 12\4\12 i did not recall any dreams but i attempted to fuse the wake back to bed technique with the Wake induced lucid dreaming technque that next morning when i woke up. My dad was playing the guitar in the backround and that was what hepled keep me concious. After about twenty minutes of laying still, I entered sleep paralysis. I thought it was so cool, but it got so intense it scared me right out of it and i did not attempt after it to go back into the sleep paralysis. Next time im that close though i know now how to move right back into the paralysis state and hopefully i will sucsessfully enter a lucid dream after that point.

    4. Failed Advanced Task of the Month :( (But otherwise great LD)

by , 07-04-2012 at 05:29 PM (RommiH's Dream Journal (entries are not dated correctly. i am slowly transferring my DJ from my computer, to the one on DV))
I wake up early for some reason. I feel pretty awake. BUt I dont see any point in getting out of bed. Its still dark out and everyone's asleep. I am about to go back to sleep when I realize this would be a great time for a WILD. I also want to see if listening to binaural beats would help any. So I get out my iPod and start listening to one that should help me relax. The headphones were uncomfortable so i took the one in my right ear out and rolled onto my rights side. Now the headphones weren't digging into me. After what FELT a long time I finally got relaxed. Deeply relaxed. For some odd reason I imagined myself walking around a fixed point. After a few rounds I was very close to my body falling asleep. I felt a few subtle vibrations. But those didn't last very long. Then i snapped out of that deep state where whatever you imagined you could feel. Which was the case with the circles I was walking in. I could FEEl myself walking. It was like a partial dream state.

I guess I fell asleep at this point because I woke up remembering a dream about dogs.. I did manage to keep still and keep my eyes closed. The small dream I had was interesting. It started with me watching an old film that revolved around small dogs. Then I was at the nady walking towards the door when a small dog came through it. The dog was cute I petted him. Oh sick just remembered another dream! Anyways I walked through the door with the dog and met the dogs owner who was slouched in a couch. He seem ill and sickly but nice. Thats all there was to the dream.

Now I lay in bed trying to decide whether or not I should just get up and write down the dog dream. I decided no, I'll try to WILD. I went over the dream a bunch of times so I wouldn't forget it. Again, once I was deeply relaxed I did the thing where I walked around aa fixed point. As I did that I started to visualize myself walking. Then I could see asphalt form around me, and the point I was walking around was a sewer cap. I visuals kept getting stronger and more clear. Then I felt them vibrations. As I walked in circles I rubbed my fingers together to further stabilize the forming dream. This continued until I was in a full-on dream.

Like the last 4 lucid dreams I had, this one took place in a suburban neighborhood. Specifically the one I'm in now. I walked past some cars and felt them while I thought of what to do. Instantly i remembered the advanced task of the month. I was looking forward to my date. But I wasnt so sure where I was going to find her/it. I decided I would fly into space. I wasnt so sure what I would do once I got there. i guess I was hoping I would get lucky. I walked down a sloped road. I noticed there was a fair amount of people around. I thought, maybe they can help me. I shouted to them "HEY! LISTEN UP". I then yelled out my plan. They all ignored me. I was now nearing a cul de sac. In it I saw Mostafa. Excited I ran to him.
      "MOSTAFA! DUDE!"
      "ROMMMMMMAAAAYY!"
"HEY MAN! Listen- " I told him my plan and he gladly agreed to help.

We walked to the end of the cul de sac. I saw a trash can tied to a light pole and wondered if I could use it a spaceship or something. I looked out to the scenery around me.
"CLARITY" I yelled. Everything got super vivid and crisp.
"COLOR!" When I yelled "color" everything became super saturated.

"WHOA! Mostafa check this out! This is so cool"

I started to wonder if Mostafa was a DC or if he was his actual self. Maybe we were having a shared dream. Mostafa has natural LD abilities. He's got mad LDing skills like no one else. So I figured it could be possible considering it was him.
"Are you dreaming?" I ask him.
      No Answer.
      Typical DC

I follow him up this hill (we're off the street now) to this cement bunker thing. He just stands there on top of the structure doing nothing. I ask him twice more "Are you dreaming?"
He asks me "Are you okay?"
"Yeah I'm fine. Its just that-" I was about to explain the whole possibility of a shared dream but I decided there was no point.

I leave Mostafa and walk back into the street and decide to try flying into space and see what happens from there. I wanted to avoid simply flying be cause I haven't really had any luck with that yet.Which is why I wanted to see what help the DCs might have for me. I tried several times to fly by just jumping into the air intending to take flight. Fail. I tried the same thing but with a running start. Also failed. I kept trying for some time until the dream ended.

Or at least that part of the dream. All of a sudden I was in a locker room. I was still lucid. But not Lucid enough to notice this sudden change in location. Maybe there was a smooth transition and I just cant remember it.

All I did there was wander around the locker room doing nothing what so ever. I saw a bunch of guys with longboards and thought maybe they were some sort of team. By then I had lot my lucidity.
    5. My second WILD!

      by , 03-30-2012 at 05:26 AM
      2/28/2012

I had my second WILD this morning! I found myself in SP and remembered to slowly relax (because the more you relax, the more powerful the vibrational sensations become, so if I relax too quickly the sensations will wake me up). I could hear my mother turn the hairdryer on in the other room (in real life- confirmed) while in SP. Awesome. I sort of experimented with my facial muscles again (tried to close my jaw until my teeth touched which worked and tried to open my eyes wide which didn't) before deciding to close my eyes and slip into the "drawing board stage." I thought about which scene to create. Star Wars? Nah. Under the ocean? Another time. I had made my decision. Earlier in the night I had dreamt about wanting pancakes, so I tried to make an IHOP personal buffet scene. Weirdly enough, I found myself in a fancy restaurant with my parents. We were all seated at a table and had some sort of mini buffet set up for us. I first observed this bowl of what apparently was pancake-flavored gelatto. I looked around at the beautiful restaurant. I looked at the window at the other side of the room and there was a tropical blue-green ocean shore outside. After picking up a spoon and eating some of the tasty gelatto, I remembered something I've been wanting to try. I demanded out loud, "Clarity Now!" Suddenly, I felt an amazing wind-like sensation as the entire dreamscape around me turned sharp and vivid and colorful and life-like! Beforehand, everything was dull, unclear, fuzzy, and unstable. It worked. Unfortunately, these WILD's only last a few minute since they occur in the morning, and I woke up instantly as I heard my mother open the door. I suddenly opened my eyes and was laying in my bed, the absence of vibrations leaving me with a strange sensation. At first, I thought I might still be in SP, but quickly learned I was fully awake and could move. During the middle of SP I again had a hypnogogic hallucination that my father tried to wake me up and thought I was joking about being in SP.
    6. My first WILD!!!!

      by , 03-30-2012 at 05:22 AM
      3/27/2012

I just had my first successful WILD attempt!!! I discovered and learned so much. See, I woke up around 11:50 or 12 and I observed that I had the ability to slip into sleep paralysis (because of the vibrations). I gently slipped into the state and took myself out of it a few times to get ready I guess (kind of like dipping your toes into a pool before jumping in), and then bravely allowed myself to become paralyzed (after thinking I turned onto my back, when to my surprise I found myself in the same side position as when I originally woke up when I opened my eyes through the sleep paralysis). So, here I was, paralyzed. There was no turning back now. After a while, I was brave enough to be able to let go and relax myself deeper into the powerful vibrations of sleep paralysis. At one point, I began to panic, trying to move, but then I told myself in my mind, "Okay, you've read about this.. you need to relax, you're not in danger." Or something alike that. Luckily, I listened to my own advice and finally let myself slip all the way into complete relaxation. After a while, I began to visualize myself in a dreamscape room and before I knew it, the room and the objects I was visualizing became real. I could hear the sound of the doorhandle and felt it as I turned it (I could see it, but with a lack of vividness since I didn't get to submerge completely into the dream and make it stable). In the newfound lucid dream I spoke to myself, kind of narrating what I wanted to do and what I wanted to exist in the scene. I naturally slipped out of it and managed to re-create the scene again. See, what I learned, is that the SP state is actually like a drawing board for lucid dreams. Whatever you're thinking about or imagining, your brain begins to form into a dream. You go through this muscular atonia every night, except this time, YOU guide the creation of dreams instead of it happening by random. I discovered that once you fully relax past the powerful vibrational sensations of SP, those sensations become more gentle and relaxing, like a deep meditation. Thoughts drift, which is exactly what happened to me. I accidentally found myself thinking about Star Wars, and found myself in a brief non-lucid dreamscape about Second Life roleplay. I drifted out of it though. Overall, this experience has been mind-opening for me. It was INCREDIBLE. Time to make use of the SP I often get.
    7. Summoning attempt

      by , 01-30-2012 at 11:40 PM
      NON-LUCID LUCID

      Identification: (No. 78) Summoning attempt
      Time Recorded: 9:00, 31-01-2012
      Genre: Ordinary
      Character(s): Gavin D.
      Method(s): Mantra
      Lucid: Yes (DILD)

I am sitting in my bedroom, at my desk, looking at a series of written messages on a single sheet of paper. For each paragraph there is an illustration on the right, of a lady dressed in 3-century-old clothing, from various angles. I somehow realise that I am dreaming and become lucid. I stand up from my desk chair and walk towards my door, thinking about what I should do. I get the impulse to summon someone. I look away, thinking to myself that someone will be there when I look back. I fall on my clothes drawer and lie there. I can hear Gavin's quiet feint voice, calling my name. I believe that Gavin is going to come here and wake me up. I start to loose the dream, so I try concentrating on the dream again, but it is too late.

    8. My first SUCCESSFUL attempt at Lucid Dreaming!

      by , 01-21-2012 at 12:21 AM
Well, as any of my readers might already know, I don't really have lucid dreams. My dreams are more like that of memory fragments that are very realistic, and slightly terrifying at times.
My point is this: A week or two a friend of mine suggested that I try lucid dreaming to counteract some haunting nightmares I'd been having. I did some research on the subject of dreaming lucidly and found out the basic beginner's trick to knowing when you're in a lucid dream.
I had kind of gotten the idea from Inception, but regardless, it works ALMOST every time.
People would often say for beginners to think of a bright, easily recognizable object. After seeing that object appear you would know you're now in a lucid dream. At first I tried to think of something like, a neon green dodge ball, or fiery puppy, but nothing seemed to work, but then I watched Inception. They used small inanimate objects like a chess piece or a small top, well I then tried that the following night, and it worked!
I'm not going to say what the object (because it's very personal and I don't think the objects original bearer would appreciate me just telling everyone on the internet what object kept us such good friends).
Once I was lucid, I think it would be safe to say that all hell broke loose in my subconscious mind. At first I just got out of bed like i had woken up in the middle of the night. It was so real I was afraid I was actually awake! To safely test my theory out, I punched my brother in the face. Instead of waking up, his entire head was dismembered and the things inside it spread all over the wall.
I felt so amazing, so I shot a blast of fire at the wall and flew out after my large, white Angel wings had sprouted from my back.
I was drawn to my school for some reason, so I smashed a whole in the ceiling and landed in the cafeteria. It was dark except for a few candles here and there. In the middle of the room was one of my good friends, uh, Rayne. Before I continue I should mention that she is a very well behaved teenage girl, who would never do anything bad past... okay, at the moment I can't think of anything bad she would do, but anyways...
She was laying in the middle of the room with a syringe in her arm. I rush over to her and hold her up due to the fact that she didn't eve look like she was breathing. I pick her up and she begins laughing like a maniac.
She holds up another syringe in my face. "Dude," she says tiredly. "You should... totally, try this stuff!"
'What the hell is it?!" I asked concernedly.
      "HEROINE!!"
Then I realized I was in a dream and I pulled a Daedric Dagger out of nowhere and stabbed my leg. The next thing I know I wake up screaming, because I was pinched my leg so hard that I started to ooze blood.
Anyways, that was my first successful attempt at lucid dreaming. Hopefully in the future I will try to have longer and more intense dreams. I'll also being doing some research in shared dreams and will attempt one of those.
      Dekaron, signing off!
    9. Non-dream - WILD Attempt - Tingling and Noises - Nausea

      by , 10-13-2011 at 01:31 AM (GypsyDiver's Dream Bible)
Every Wednesday I take a nap, so today I thought I'd try some a WILD. I had three attempts in all.

The first isn't even worth mentioning.

During the second attempt, I began counting my breaths. As usual, I started to feel very relaxed around breath 60, and by 100 I had started seeing some swirly colors. Then I heard this noise like... I can't quite remember, kind of a buzzing, maybe, off to my right. I wondered if this was a hallucination, because it sounded like it was real, right there in the room. I tried to get my mind back on track counting. After a little, my hands, which were resting on my legs, started to feel like they had fused to me. I has all tingly and numb. I was sure I was going into SP, and got really excited, but still tried to calm down. I counted breaths and let my heart rate decrease, but nothing else seemed to happen. Then, my eyes opened on their own.

I was so frustrated! I was sure I had gotten close. I thought, maybe I was too awake, so I laid on my side and got sleepy and tried again. This time, I didn't have any visual hallucinations, either, but I'm sure there were audial ones, because after about 100 breaths again I heard this loud bass sound, like a car was blasting rap. I could almost feel it, and it was so loud. I started to lose track of where I was counting, and eventually the noise faded away. After that, I remember trying to lose track of my body, and focus inward, but I kept feeling like my hand was upside down. It was a weird sensation: I knew my hand was palm down on my leg, but it felt like it was palm up. I kept focusing on it, even thought I knew I shouldn't. I also lost myself in thought a lot, losing the number of breaths I had taken. Near 400-something, I gave up, knowing if I didn't stop, I'd just fall asleep.

Of course, after all three attempts, I did RCs.
Something to note, and I wrote about it in the forums. When I got up after the third attempt, I felt really nauseous and sick for about ten minutes.

I thought I'd post these, uninteresting as they are, because I left my real DJ at the other house. If I don't write about them, I'll regret it.
    10. 27th Shared Dreaming Attempt - Joshdamighty

by , 09-04-2011 at 04:45 PM (International Oneironaut Shared Dreaming Journal)
      Joshdamighty's Dream

So I attempted a w.i.l.d but had a hard time getting back to sleep after waking up at 6:00am (went to bed at 12:00am).

I was telling myself when I see the colors and I know I'm going through sleep paralysis, I will immediately wake up and reality check. I guess I waited too long... I ended up dreaming of getting up thinking it didn't work and I did a reality check with my hands and they looked normal! That's odd that they were normal.

So now I'm thinking its real. I go outside and want to see if the weather is windy and cooler here in Texas cause we have been waiting forever for this. I see the wind and then see my brother standing about 100 yards away from the house and he's watching it too. Then, the sky changes to a bright white. I see snow way off in the distance. I was really confused now but then heard a loud roar. I could tell from my years of playing monster hunter that it was a BLANGONGA.

Blangonga is the big one, blangos are the small ones.

I freaked out and yelled at my brother to get inside and he just stood there (why is it my brother always gets in these situations in my dreams). It starts snowing heavy and I see Blangos and then see a big shadow in the distance. Now I don't normally lose my cool in dreams but this time I went crazy.

I ran inside to grab a sword or battleaxe and woke up.
    11. 9th Shared Dreaming Attempt- FireDevil's Dream

by , 07-24-2011 at 06:14 PM (The Escapades of FireDevil)
      FireDevil's Dream

Dream about playing a cod like game. There were rounds where you had to eliminate the entire enemy team. If you died you were out that round. We were using actual guns and I could see the pain on peoples faces, but I never died. The dream was also very realistic because everything was so detailed and fine. At one point my friend was holding an ak74u and I could see all the intricate details that were on the gun. In the last round we had to find our own guns. This is when my friend took the ak74u and I had to find an M14 in another building. While I was looking for a gun my team left my side and I was alone finding a gun. When I did find a gun I moved out and I saw a battle where the other team didnt shoot because they thought it would hurt too much. Instead they grabbed a tennis ball and whipped it at my friends belly multiple times. Then someone stepped in and said wtf are you doing. The one guy was like do you want a piece of this, then the other guy was like sure, whatever. The guy who stepped in proceeded with punching the other guy in the face. They almost started a brawl, however he started crying and went to sit down at a desk where someone walked up and began to comfort him. There is another part to this dream, but it is very personal.

I was napping becuase I was tired and I was lying in bed listening to a theta beat (I recommend theta because it is uses the same waves as your brain does when asleep) and I started seeing visions.

Basically I saw the Wrestlemania event, I bought the travel package and I hadn't booked my flight back. I was stuck in Miami, I think.

      And that's it.

I woke up in the morning and stayed up for about 5 minutes and closed my eyes for WILD. I was in the position swallowing once or twice and the feeling of moving was too much and i jerked up.

    14. First night after 20 years of no lucid dreams

      by , 11-07-2010 at 03:15 PM
I used to Lucid Dream when I was a child. It felt like I was living a different life. Things were so surreal but they made sense in that strange dream-logic kind of way. I stopped having Lucid Dreams after I was about seven. I started getting loaded up on sedatives and other tranquilizers that either suspended brain function or just turned me into a dreamless sleeper. I stopped taking them about 5 years ago and still hadn't had any really memorable dreams.

Last night, I attempted to induce a Lucid Dream using the WILD method, like I had when I was young. I told myself I would dream of my friends and I would recognize that I was dreaming. I had several very short non-lucid dreams where the instant I knew I was dreaming, I woke up. I tried about three times.

I started to count backwards from 100:
100, will dream of my friends tonight.
99, I will dream of my friends tonight.
      ...
I reached 81 before I entered my first dream

The first dream, I was in a world with little more than unintelligible block shapes for other entities and I knew this was a dream almost the moment I entered. I immediately woke and continued to count from where I had left off.

80, I will dream of my friends tonight.
79, I will dream of my friends tonight.
      ...
I reached 76 before I entered another dream.

The second dream, I was with a group of people I did not know. We all had masks on and we were hiding? robbing? I'm not sure. I knew my pulse and breathing were elevated. I felt tension and anxiety. I wanted to look down at my hand but couldn't. It felt like my eyes were on rails. I couldn't control where I was looking or what I was doing.
I forced myself to look down at my hand. After a few moments of straining, I saw just black filber, like a sock, where my hand should have been. No fingers, not even a hint of digits under the cloth. I knew I was dreaming and was forced out of my dream.

I remained in bed for a while, unmoving, concentrating on the faces of my friends.
I counted backwards from where I left off.
75, I will dream of my friends.
74, I will dream of my friends.
      ...
I lost count a few times around 71 and started over from 75. I eventually slipped into a dream around 63.

I was standing in a very nice Hotel Lobby. A dark and rich wood siding covered the walls and all the counters. There was a soft yellow lighting behind the checkout counter. Track lighting with amber cones and yellow bulbs hung over the desk. A brass chandelier hung over the lobby, directly over a few leather couches, a rosewood or mahogany coffee table and a few expensive looking chairs.
The Man behind the counter was young, bald, and had a goatee. He was tall, about 6'5" and had a thick gold earing in his left ear. He wore a white or light beige dress shirt with a tall collar and a black vest/waistcoat made of silk/satin. When he smiled he showed large, rounded teeth that seemed too large for his mouth. This made his mouth protrude a little from face.
I was able to observe for a few moments before my body began to walk toward the check-in counter. The man behind the counter uttered a few words in a language I could not understand. It sounded like three different voices were talking at once. I realised immediately I was in a dream and tried to hide the expression on my face.
The man noticed something about me and seemed like he was asking me something before his face went blank. He pulled a large knife from under the counter and thrust it into my solar plexus, his arm stretching farther than it seemed it should have. The knife pierced my body painlessly and I woke up again.

I did not try to induce another dream that night and instead stayed awake, concentrating on remembering what happened that night in my dreams.
