    Fragment of Dreams

    1. 8/14/16 - Fragments

      by , 08-14-2016 at 11:47 PM
Fragment 1: I'm outside by a small river with a strong current. There's a grizzly bear drowning and calling to me for help. I run to the edge and pull him out of the water to safety.

Fragment 2: I'm on a stage in front of a small crowd. Minwoo pulls me close to him and we slow dance, not caring about anyone who watches.

Fragment 3: I'm sitting at a dinner table with a ton of people. Heechul is showing off all of his talents. I smile as I watch him.

Fragment 4: I'm in a hotel room with someone. We are eating. I look up and the curtain to a sliding glass door is open and people walking by can see us eat. I get up and close it.

      by , 08-14-2016 at 02:50 PM
so I don't remember much of this one so this is all i've got.
We were in a kitchen like area
We had to hide from some military looking guy at one point
There was a girl with black hair in a ponytail
Some alien like creature I think we were studying it
It was laying belly up on a counter.
The girl seemed like a friend

    5. Log 471 - Summer Lucid Competition - Day 15

      Spellbee's Summer Lucid Competition 2016 - Entry 15

Like yesterday, I'd two LDs occurring in the beginning and end of my sleep, respectively, only both were DILDs this time. There were numerous other dreams in between, but I've forgotten almost everything about them entirely by now.

Dream 1 - Not the Opponent I Was Looking For...

Only recall the end. The visuals were dim. I was on a tiled, fluorescent blue plane. This, I knew, was a live-action game of Duelyst. My opponent of forgotten description stood several paces away, and next to them was a Blaze Hound I controlled.

Eventually, I noticed the opponent was named Champa. I quickly remembered that name from DreamViews, and with that, gained lucidity. Figured he wasn't part of any team in the dream competition. Pity, but oh well. I buffed up my minion with a Scion's Second Wish, and had it attack for... decent damage.

The alarm immediately wakes me up afterwards.

Stayed up longer than I'd liked. WBTB. Intended for SSILD, but I fell asleep.

      Scrap Group 1
Vaguely recalled hanging out with a few friends.

Another WBTB. Made an SSILD attempt, but this kept me up for a long time. Switched to WILD attempt. Fell asleep, but I got a DILD.

      Dream 2 - Summer Lucid Competition - Day 15

      Scene 1 - Thank's For the Head's Up, Tornado

The visuals were clear. I falsly awaken in bed, upset that I stayed up for too long without much results.

I get up, and look out the window, completely ignorant of the bare grassfield replacing my neighbors' homes. Instead, I took notice of some dire, pitch black storm clouds in the distance of an otherwise clear blue sky. These swirled around into a funnel. Oh, crap, a tornado! I could scarcely believe it. Actually, this all seemed very familiar... didn't I dream of such things before? As a reflex, I did a breath obstruction test, and, yep, I figured out I was indeed dreaming.

As I looked on, I had the urge to be in the skies. But then, I felt myself stirring in bed. Woulda lost my cool, had I not repeated "deeper" to keep stable. The visuals collapsed. I continued the mantra, until I'm transitioned.

      Scene 2 - Open Fire!

The visuals were clear. I was flying high above in a cloudy blue sky. Yes, just as I wanted!

Of course, I flew around carelessly to the breeze for a while. This made me realize I've not flown very fast before. So, after winding back, I launched myself forward at turbulent speeds, seeing the clouds zoom past me in tunnel vision. Got a bit dizzying, so I slowed a little.

Just recalled the airplane TOTM. I looked around for such, and hoped they'd show up from nowhere. And, just like that, I heard, and from my peripheral vision, saw, several combat jets flying overhead. But, I also heard machine guns firing, and was forced into evasive maneuvers. As I pressed onwards, some silvery, disk-nosed, Star Wars-esque fighter came in view, hovering in reverse at my pace. It fires a barrage of energy beams at me, each way off the mark. I flew over the cockpit. Through a shaded dome, I see the pilot, a man in an orange jumpsuit and modern day flight helmet (complete with visors and breathing apparatus). I pointed my hands at the guy to zap him. The pilot, in turn, frantically hits some dials, and in an instant, the craft flies away at warp speed.

I soon arrive over a wide, triangular metal platform, part of either a very tall or floating structure. Just then, numerous automated cannons pop up from hidden openings. A few bombard explosives at my direction, while several others start chargin their lasers. So, I sweep both my hands towards them, and from my palms emanates a volley of bullets to the distinct humming of machine guns. This stops the turrets' attack. I dive down in a dramatic three point landing, and, on cue, the cannons are blown to pieces. Furthermore, Scramble for the Core from Sonic Adventure 2 begins playing in the background. What an entrance!

While strutting along, a few more cannons arise. I shoot a few down, when I get concerned on whether guns would count for points. So, with a specific gesture, I fired brilliant blue sparks in a wide area*, which instantly disintegrated any baddies it touched.

Just then, I start losing grasp of the dream. I mutter my mantras, but to no avail. Time's up.

*Looked and sounded almost exactly like the second attack in this video

    6. Determination

      by , 08-13-2016 at 11:47 AM
So, I remember that I had this strange power and that some people were trying to kill me because of it. Apparently, my power was to be able to communicate with animals. Then I remember being thrown into this arena with a HUGE ant. I was scared at first but then I started talking to it and managed to calm it down.

Then, I remember saying, "This is strange...It's almost as if it's a dream and I'm the one in control." so prior to this I was sorta semi-lucid, but after saying this I remember becoming completely lucid.

After that, I decided to fly around a bit and then I decided to try to go into the world of my favorite video game, Undertale.
So I looked into a window and saw my favorite characters hanging out at the beach together, so I tried going through the window but failed, I was afraid I was gonna fail but then I decided I wanted this dream to be different, for once I wanted to succeed into getting what I wanted, so I remembered telling myself to stay determined and continued forcing myself through the window, and I succeeded.

I then ran towards Sans, who was just chilling on his chair, I then remember that as soon as he noticed me, he said, "Hey kid, what took ya so long?" and he held his hand out to me, I gently grabbed his hand and then as I was trying to hug him, I woke up...

So... I had a good time, I guess? XD It's better than getting dunked on.
    7. #192: Lots of fragments

      by , 08-13-2016 at 02:33 AM
It's mostly fragments that I remember.

» I'm somewhere with a large crowd. It may be a bar. There's a band performing. The music is great and there's a lot of dancing going on. I'm loving it. I'm with some friends, though I can't recall who, besides my friend Sil. She is kinda annoying me. She wants to have my attention the whole time, but I feel like she is just stringing me along. She knows she's hot and wants the confirmation, but that's it. It's annoying me and I just want to enjoy the awesome music, so I ignore her. At one point there is a drum. It sounds great.

» There's some event inside a building. Perhaps inside the bar as well. There's quite a crowd, but in the middle there's a mostly empty circle. I can't see it clearly cause there are people in the way, but there's a game going on. Whoever manages to balance on one leg the longest wins.. something. There are now 4 people left. There's one white Dutch guy, dressed kinda hip-hop, who continuously switches legs, but always stays on one leg. After a while he decides that it's not worth it to compete for so long for this price. He gives in. There's something about his shoes. I think they are sneakers with wings on them.

» There's an inside area with lots of exactly the same objects. They are moveable. I use it to train some parkour. Two other parkour athletes show up and start getting in my way. I don't feel so comfortable anymore.

» There's some type of diving competition going on. A guy has made a jump from up high into a swimming pool, but he is not satisfied, so he wants to redo it. He has to climb up a wall out of the pool, leading to the platform. This is already his 4th or 5th attempt and he cramps up. He falls. The digital scoreboard displays a 37. I think that's the amount of cm he managed to get up, which is a bad score. His previous one way 1m something. I really hope for him that it's not 'last score counts'.

» I'm with my mom, sitting at the dinner table with her in her living room. For some reason we're having an argument. I really disagree with something she said. I think it was something that put me in a bad light.
    8. Spell's Comp Night 14: 3 Lucids; Stage Flight, Halo Battle, Bank Robbery

by , 08-12-2016 at 03:33 PM (Lucid Time!)
Now this is the kind of night I wish I'd be pulling off for the entire comp.

I was talking to Manei and I said to her: "I like taking long hot showers and crying for no reason. It helps me get all my boogers out."

      -+-

I don't remember the first dream too well. I was with my cousins and we were going to see some movie. Then I remembered that the movie was in fact some play that I was supposed to have a part in. The movie theatre morphed into this huge coliseum with five stage curtains on a scaffold forming a pentagon in the middle. I don't remember if it was because there were five iterations of the same play being put on at once or because it was all one big play that made use of this unique stage. It also had something to do with my high school graduation.

I remember leaving my family behind and going backstage to make preparations. I had no memory of being in this play or what part I was supposed to play. The director got really mad at me. He said that the play was a Porn-Parody of Harry Potter and made a penis joke about a "wand". I remember there was this big blue prop sign with white letters that said "Lucid Dream".
I became lucid. Not long after I did, all of the dream characters except the play director vanished.

I remember becoming lucid and thinking of my dream-goal to do do some kind of acrobatic/gymnastic maneuver. I was thinking about the olympic gymnastics and how very badly I wanted to mimic that in a LD. I also thought about how I might destabilize the dream if I do a flip or something because it would be like dream spinning. In more stable dreams it hasn't been a problem, and I've done it before. (Hence why it's a 10-point goal).

I said I wanted to start easy. I saw this huge paper mache prop tree and ran up the side and did a parkour backflip. It didn't destabilize the dream very much. I then forgot about the goal and started flying and running through the branches of the prop tree. The play director ran and got a clipboard. He said he was inspired to write a new play about Peter Pan because I was flying. Then this really fat guy in a blue track suit came in. He said he wanted to enter me in a lucid dreamers equivalent to the olympics for agility flying since I had a natural talent for it. I told him I would like it, but I wanted to do proper training and not rely solely on natural talent.

(Adds Lucid Dream Olympics to list of dream goals for after comp.)

I remember I was playing Halo 4 (At least I think it was Halo 4. It felt like it.) I remember I had signed into the match by accident and it was 3v1. I thought to myself "huh boy, a 3v1, and I haven't played in awhile." I remember thinking that I should just quit, but that would be bad sport and I should at the very least try and fight them even if they stomp me. Also the place we were fighting in was the front yard of my house.

It was at this point their personalities became apparent. The guy in red armor with the star on his shoulder had Steven's voice from Steven Universe and was the leader. There was a guy in white armor who was an idiot and a guy in pink armor who was a coward. They tried attacking me. I remember having three weapons avaliable to me (when in Halo, the most you can normally have is two.) I had a shotgun, assault rifle and the 3 round burst rifle from halo 3)

It's not like I was playing to my fullest. In some weird way, (even though there the video game context was ignored) Controlling my character felt lethargic. Sometimes I would think to move a certain direction but wouldn't actually start moving half a second later. Aming was difficult too. More than once, I shot in a different direction than I was looking.

I remember the white armor guy and the pink armor guy were pretty terrible and I was able to kill them pretty easily. For the most part they would just stand in one shot and try to shoot at me (and miss) The Steven guy was a bit tougher, he actually fought back and used cover. I know he killed me at least once. At one point the white and pink armored guys came after me driving a minivan they had stolen from the neighbors garage and I blew it up by throwing a grenade underneath it.

When the score was about 10-1 the Steven guy said he was going to use a hack to transport us outside of the map. He did and we were now on a freight train that was moving. I killed the white and pink armor guys again and apparently when using the hack, they forgot to set the spawn points outside of the map boundaries too, so this was my opportunity to lose these guys.

The train began going around this large lake (actually I think it was a bay) following a curved path. Because of the way the tracks curved I could see the Steven Guy way down at the end of the train across the lake. There was a (googles Halo vechiles) Banshee on one of the last train cars. He got into it and flew across the lake towards the front of the train where I was. I started shooting at him but kept missing. He shot a missile at me and blew apart the train car. I very nearly fell off but I grabbed this bar on the end of the train car and held onto the side. I swing around to the backside hiding from him.

Dangit I'm lucid! Can't I just use VATS?

I swing around once. I tried to stop time and target him, but nothing happened. (Well I got hit with a few spare lasers) I tried a second time and it worked. I focused in on him and got a HUD just like VATS. I set all my shots to target him (Think I had about 5 shots) I even got the 3rd person movie style of me shooting them and blowing the guy out of the sky.

After that the train stopped, presumably because the match had ended. I think my armor dissolved and gave way to my regular dream self. I still had the gun but I threw it down in the sand and sad "gah! I hate using guns!" I saw one of the little ATV things from Halo and decided to hop on as an easy means of transportation. I got stopped by this fisherman guy who said that the ATV was his and it was a present from his mom and had been stolen from him by the Halo team that I had fought. I said he could have it back and he was very thankful.

I somehow found myself in a parking garage looking through the back of my dad's old van and I found a fluffy white blanket. I was talking to my dad about something and said that I had to return the blanket. I went back to the fisherman's house and gave him the blanket too. When I did he hugged it and started crying. He asked what he could ever do to repay me and I said that it was nothing and I was just trying to be a more positive influence on my dreams.

The dream phased from the beach where the train and the fisherman had been to the family beach resort. I wanted to go back and talk to my dream dad but I wanted to move in a way that wasn't flying. I remembered how in old lucid dreams I would move my feet like I was ice skating and gain super speed across the ground. I tried it but nothing happened. (Maybe because I was in sand... )

What if I tried actual ice skates? I looked down at my boots. I felt like I could feel a button where my big toe was and wiggled my toe in to press it. (I also noticed, when I focused on the sensation of my feet that I was wearing no socks and had a lot of sand in my boots.) But when I pressed the button, an ice skate blade popped out of the bottom of my boot. I was a little bit awkward at first because I couldn't get the one in the other boot to come out because there was no button. Eventually intuition made me realize that I had to press the button in the right boot twice.

I started skating down the boardwalk at high speeds. I remember thinking that I should use these more often and call them the "zero-friction skates".

I arrived in this collection of oriental style buildings and a boardwalk. I find the fisherman character again sitting and eating a basket of fish and chips at an outdoor eating area next to a buffet bar. He thanks me again for returning his things to him. I think he was actually in tears this time. I thought it was funny. This guy really looked like the tough sailor type, even though he wasn't very big he looked tough, but here he was, balling his eyes out for me. He said he didn't like french fries because they were potatoes and the association with the phrase couch potato and laziness, so I ate some for a realistic taste, but no salt, and I couldn't find any, and didn't think to reach into hyperspace and grab some.

He asked me how strong I must be to return two of his most important stolen belongings and beat up a gang of supersoliders that were apparently local bullies. He said he wanted to arm wrestle. I remember I accepted but it was this weird form of arm wrestling where we were standing and we tried to pull away from one another with our arms bent and whoever's arm went straight first would lose. The fisherman struggled and struggled, eventually cheating at his own game to try and bend my arm straight. I told him that "I'm the Dreamer." He didn't really understand that so I explained briefly that it was my lucid dream.

I then remember making a point that my strength doesn't come from musculature because in the dream realm, that's meaningless. What's more important is your level of confidence. I decided to test something by using spear finger on a tree. (There was a large tree growing up out of the boardwalk several feet from our table.) I expected my strike to reduce the trunk to wood chips, but I don't think I was fully confident. (I was in the same mindset when I'm doing board breaking in martial arts classes.) I still drove my hand about halfway through the tree making a sizable hole and coming out with a fistful of wood shavings. The Sailor guy had a fish stick in his mouth and it fell out when he saw me do that. Priceless.

I then saw the sky getting dark and decided I would do some flying. I said goodbye to him and activated fire jets out of my hands. In the reduced lighting the blue and reddish-orange contrast of my flying flames was exceptionally apparent, the colors really popped against the DW. There was even a "fwoom" sound as they came on. Sometimes my flying jets are very small and compact (or nonexistent), but this time they were like big bright colorful blooms of fire. I didn't take off right away and I was worried I'd set the boardwalk on fire. I took off and did a spiral around this pagoda building as the dream faded out.

      ...

I went into something about driving with my dad, in the van again, going camping. I think it was actually a false awakening, explained that I had been asleep in the car this entire time and just woken up now as we were arriving. (We're actually going camping the day after the comp ends, no wonder I didn't catch this.) He said something about father son bonding.

I woke up. I seriously thought about just getting out of bed and starting my day. (I did get up to go pee though.) I've had foul luck with reentry and mostly mucky WILDs. But I realized I was tired enough that I just might be able to pull of another short lucid and started doing counts.

I was with my dream-mom. I remember telling her that this was a lucid dream and it can be utilized as a playground to do anything, even things that are not necessarily acceptable. She said she wanted to rob a bank. I remember also there was a plot about me being some kind of secret agent and I walked into a bank when there were robbers in it and everyone else was running away. The dream got scrambled pretty quickly where I was someone else and I saw my mom running out of the bank pushing a baby me in a stroller.

I went into the back of the bank. I think I was with Manei now and we were planning how we would do this. Marcus had given us this little baseball sized shaped charge that we could supposedly use to destroy the vault door in the back of the bank. We walked in, climbed over the counter and went into the vault. I remember I tried figuring out how to make the bomb detonate. There was a really long red string wrapped around the bomb with a little pink plastic toad on the end of it.

I then decided we would hack the computer instead. I remember trying to log in on the user account of somebody from the bank but I didn't know any passwords. Then I went to another computer terminal and saw that without logging in I could just enter the password to the vault directly. We tried a couple different passwords. The only two I remember us trying were "HoneyMoney" and "BigBenjamin31". I think Marcus was talking to us over radio giving us more password suggestions, but I ignored him since none of them worked.

Me: "Alright. If I was in the prim and proper adult culture of banking, and I wanted to pick a password that nobody could guess, you wanna know what it would be?

      "boobfart69"

GLADOS sounding computer: "Password Accepted. Opening Vault."

A woman came out of the bathroom and saw the two of us. She said she had been woken up by the Glados voice and had fallen asleep on the toilet. She was a little bit suspicious that we weren't supposed to be here even though the bank was closed, we were dressed like ninjas, and the dream guide behind me was stuffing money into a bag (Humorously stupid and oblivious dream character.) She somehow became convinced that we were a husband and wife pair and Manei was username "HoneyMoney" in the bank's employee registry.

      I woke up.

Scoring: Since I've never had multiple lucid dreams to score I'm not sure how to do it. I think you can count dream control twice if you have it in multiple dreams. (But not necessarily a chain, like what happened last night.)

      Frag 0.5pt*1=0.5
NLD (counting the nonlucid portion for each DILD since it was substantial.) 1pt*2=2
      DILD 10pt for first +5pt subsequent*2=15
      WILD 10pt for first=10
      WBTB 2pt*1=2
      Old Personal Goal (Gymnastic Maneuver)=10pt
      Basic Flying=5pt*2 different dreams=10pt
Time control=(I'm counting my use of VATS as this.)=10pt
Use an ordinary object to preform dream control (I guess it isn't 100% normal to have ice skate blades that pop out of your shoes, but I'm taking it and running.)=5pt
Super Speed (From the skate blades)=5pts
Eat Something (A few Potato Planks)=5pts
      DC Interact 2pt*all 3 dreams=6pts
      Super Strength=5pt
Elemental Control=(Them big blooms of fire in the second dream should count. Such pretty colors (◕‿◕)) =10pt
      Use electronic Device=(Bank computer system)5pt

      Total: 100.5!

    9. Night of August 10, 2016

      by , 08-11-2016 at 08:53 PM
This dream was very choppy, to say the least. I only remember bits and pieces:

      - I was very close to a body of water the whole time.
      - I was with a boy who kept diving into the water, and at one point almost jumped hundreds of feet into the ocean below the small pool of water we were at. At one point I was walking a bit close to the water and a wave shot by water cannons swept me away. I was terrified I would be pulled into the ocean, but I managed to break out of the wave.
      - The setting wasn't the typical beautiful, tropical beach. It was more like a jungle or a swamp. Dark, with thick vegetation in the murky water. I saw three turtles swimming with each other, one in front of the other, and I touched them. They separated.
      - Possibly in a beach house or some other room close to that location, I got 3 free packs of makeup from a basket. Not sure how this fit.

    10. John's Car

      by , 08-11-2016 at 08:14 PM
I was downown with John when suddenly I had a new car. It was a GTR or something, and I asked John how it was compares to when he drove a Lamborghini Gallardo in high school (obviously he never did). He said the lambo sucked. Later fragment, I'm coasting through the air downtown and end up at a pavilion. It's full of invading cyborg gorilla men, and I just simply let them do their thing.

    11. Log 469 - Summer Lucid Competition - Day 13

      by , 08-11-2016 at 04:47 PM (Dream Logs DWN-12)
      Created Thursday 11 August 2016

      Spellbee's Summer Lucid Competition 2016 - Entry 13

Numerous dreams recalled today, including a surprise DILD at the end. However, besides the LD, all dreams today are just fragments.

      Scrap Group 1

Wandering in an urban environment. Go into dingy, a roach-infested apartment room. Meet up with a few familiar people there.

Uncle Gary talks about going from selling automobiles to owning online wholesale outlet. I wonder if he's even savvy enough to use a web browser.

At home. Various friends (including a fictional dark haired woman I've never seen before) and family members were there. I was embarrassed to be in my bedclothes. Went to laundry to look for shoes and shorts. I accidentally slammed into the dryer, causing others to shout at me. Overheard more guests arriving, and met up with even two more unfamiliar "familiar" figures. Later, two short, middle aged half-Asian people showed up. They rudely ignored everyone's greetings and walked straight to dad. Guess they were only there to visit him.

Some Steven Universe related dream. After many silly antics, Greg and Amethyst decide to get engaged. I wake up wondering why I'm still thinking of such things.

Watching a heavily re-edited version of the Nappa fight in DBZ Abridged. Nappa's Explosive Burst attack is far more destructive. As the others dodge, Chiaotzu is killed by Nappa tackling him.

More thorough, unintended WBTB. Took a while before I got to sleep.

      Dream 1 - Summer Lucid Competition - Day 13

The visuals were clear. I was working at my old job in the gas station, out in the lots at a bright blue day.

A customer soon complains of identity theft occurring right from pump's card readers. I'm at a loss for words. On glancing at the display, I find a wire sticking out from within. I dread how this situation's gonna get handled.

I go into the convenience store, where it seems no one else was attending the lone customer there. As I'm heading to the register, I realized I've not worked there in a long time, and thus, gain lucidity. I calm down, and mutter "deeper" to anchor myself. At the registers, I see Gerardo and someone else lingering around. Both me and the former coldly greeted each other. I peek at the main register, and find the menu's a weird hybrid of the original and of the nearby lotto machine's interface. Almost got distracted with getting the sale done. As such, I walked out with no concerns of getting yelled at.

Once outside, I remembered that Infinity Gauntlet task I set for myself. So, I tried the basic remove/return hand from view trick, and, to my surprise, found the gauntlet donned on my hand... mostly, as it was partially faded in both sensation and visuals. Seemed only the green Soul and violet Space Gems were placed on it. I raised my fist, and called out for the Power Gem to summon it. Instead, the visuals immediately collapsed. I relax, and mutter "deeper" until the environment is restored. I repeated the summoning trick numerous other times, with fluctuating results, it's presence either getting weaker or stronger.

This went nowhere. So, I tried getting the Chaos Emeralds instead. Did the same trick, but nothing happened. I did so a few more times while sounding an appropriate jingle. In a few instances, when my hand returned, a bright jolt flew out of it, but no stone was there.

Tried another basic summoning attempt, this time for my dream guide, E. I reached back, and said "I know you're around here somewhere" to myself. I waited until I felt something. Once I did, I pulled whatever it was in view. What I got was a smaller, lighter-skinned hand, partially discorporated, and partially melded into my own. It twitched and moved around autonomously. Surely, just part of her form. Unnerved, I shook my hand until the other one vanished.

I cut that out, and walked down unfamiliar hilled street. Had to restabilize the dream, and I demanded the dream keep stable until I reached the top of the hill.

Then, I took a detour into a long, arborous apartment building entrance. Thought to phase through a tree. When I tried, I simply bumped into it. So, I pushed my hand on it, and waited to partially phase. Instead of that, scalding liquid seeped through tree. I reeled back. Better try somehwhere else. That red painted brick wall nearby seemed a good spot. I put hand on it, only to have similar liquid emerge. No matter. I continued onward. But then, to my horror, my skin began to melt. I yanked it out, and wondered how painful this all would have been if it were real.

Well, I tried again, and thought to melt myself purposefully as well. So, I placed my entire front side on wall, and felt myself slowly turning into melted flesh. This as taking far too long for comfort, and the disturbingly warm, sizzling sensation didn't help matters either. Abort! Abort!

      I wake up immediately afterwards

    12. Spell's Comp night 13: Unstable WILD

by , 08-11-2016 at 12:38 PM (Lucid Time!)
I did another one of my accidental WILDs. (Not expecting it to happen either. In the WILD, I false awakened on my bed. The thing that tipped me off that I was dreaming was the fact that it was sunny out (in fact, I think it was snowy). I did stabilization by touching blankets on my bed, but I was thinking about waking up and the dream was really not that stable at all. I went downstairs and got ready to go outside for dream control when I woke up.

I could feel myself back in bed. But I didn't open my eyes, or move, or anything. Reentry was easy and happened very quickly.

I was in a basketball court, but it also felt like I was in my kitchen. I think the fridge and stove from my kitchen were in the corner and there was a window where there's a window in waking life. I took off and flew around. At one point I thought it would be funny to try and fly through a basketball hoop but I figured I'd probably get stuck. I looked down and saw my flying jets weren't visbile. Weird because I was hearing the 'flamethrower' sound that is usually attributed to them.

I had a second awakening where I returned to being in bed. Reentry was just as easy and happened just as fast.

I was still in the basketball court. I figured this time I had to think quickly to get points for the contest and thought of my dreamcatcher shield goal. I thought of making one and I actually got one to appear on my right arm, just like I had imagined it to look. (It was kind of small.) For some reason I was disappointed that it didn't make a cool sound effect when it appeared. I thought about testing it out but I would need someone to try attacking me.

I woke up bigtime after that. I couldn't get back to sleep for a long while but I guess eventually I did because I remember this:

I was asleep in the back of my grandmother's car. There was a 6" rat walking around on my body and there were a lot of flies and wasps in the car. I woke up when the rat started crawling on my face.

      WILD:1pt*10=10
      Chain 2pt*2=4
      Basic Flight: 5pt=5
      Basic Summon=5pt=5
      Old Personal Goal: 10pt=10
      Frag 0.5pt*1=.5

      Totes: 34.5

I feel kindof dirty taking points for such a bad attempt at a personal goal, but I've been kinda hard on scoring myself up until now...

    13. Spellbee Comp Night 11

      by , 08-11-2016 at 02:53 AM
1 point is all I got. I'm really pissed off!

      Three Step Goals:
      1.Advanced Flying
      2.Element Manipulation
      3.Mass Telekinesis

New Dream goal: Go to the Moon
Old Dream goal: Go back to Venice

D1: I was playing in the game survivor. There were 3 great big ships w/
3 teams. One for each ship. But I wasn't sure what they were yhaet who had
what. But we were told by Jeff Probst the host that there could be
consequences for swapping with other teams. Apparently someone already had
tried but magically they weren't allowed too. It was a little fuzzy about
      how this occurred...

My daughter called in real life & I tried to ignore the phone.

D2: half lucid. I phased/chained into my second dream which was becoming lucid right
after I noticed the ships were now all three small boats.
      I now decided
to give the ships the advantages I wanted. I gave my team plenty of
extra food. Another had fishing gear. And the third had survival gear. I
know they could've been better but I was trying to just get to the tasks.

I was making a plan that I would put Nebulus & Dream Cafe on the second boat & Sivason on
the third so I could play against them. I was also contemplating my flying
to the moon & my mass telekinesis. But as soon as I got Nebulus pictured in
his blue t-shirt emblazoned with his real name idiot tag it was game over.

My daughter had come into my bedroom in real life via my dumb ass son. I'm
so pissed off I can't even express. She got a job & needed me to watch
her kids from now until school starts from 6am-5pm. So basically I may be
fucked as far as the comp goes. We'll see. My plan is to try & recreate
this scenario because it was a really good set up for the way I wanted this
part of the comp to go. I'm literally in tears.

Yes Neb, I had you finally pictured for like 30 seconds before my daughter
      blew my dream to shit!

    14. Fragments (lots of them!)

      8/9
      - It's nighttime. I am at a window and see a figure knocking on it from outside. I lift up the window and see that it is (pop sensation and queen of numbered albums) Adele. She is dressed very plainly, in a white/grey shirt, and holding a lit candle. Now that I have the window open I wonder what she wants, but she doesn't say anything. Later, it is afternoon, and I am at one of her concerts, held in an outdoor arena; however, there is no one there but me. Then I see Adele run toward me from the direction of the stage, through the rows of seats, and to where I'm standing (a little ways away); she gives me a hug.
      - I am trying to help my friend T. solve a math problem. Specifically, it's some sort of complicated fraction with several variables, and he wants to solve for one of those variables. It's hard to get a grip on it because his explanation is fuzzy, and the equation itself doesn't really stick in my mind no matter how much I look at it. I look at T. and think about how fond I am of him, and I realize that while he's been explaining this to me, I've put my hand on his shoulder a couple of times. I realize that I want--pretty badly--to do more, maybe even to give him a hug. But I refrain, reasoning that if I've already tried to be physical with him and I'm currently sitting apart, he must not want to reciprocate my affection. I feel vaguely frustrated.
      - I am in the ending of some sort of japanese RPG. After finding a magical item, or perhaps a set of magical items, I find an object in the world that plays back a bunch of bloopers from the narrator, a deep-voiced man who sounds like a movie trailer announcer.
      - A. and I are living in a very cramped apartment next to an even more crowded Korean restaurant (it seems to be set up in a space the size of our apartment). The restaurant serves gyoza.
      - I'm in a store looking at dessert pastries. One package contains a bunch of miniature glazed rolls of dough with honey and sugar. They look delicious.

    15. Log 468 - Summer Lucid Competition - Day 12

      by , 08-10-2016 at 04:42 PM (Dream Logs DWN-12)
      Created Wednesday 10 August 2016

      Spellbee's Summer Lucid Competition 2016 - Entry 12

Very bad sleep again for certain reasons. There's about four dreams I could identify today. However, I've forgotten the first one entirely, and the other non-LD is but a fragment at the moment.

Overly long WBTB preceded this. Eventually, I go through a successful WILD.

      Dream 1 - Summer Lucid Competition - Day 12 - Part 1

The visuals were blurred. I was falsely awakening in an unknown bedroom. From the start, I had awareness.

I floated off the bed, and tried levitating through the ceiling. Once I got there, I awaken immediately. I DIELD back in within minutes.

      Dream 2 - Summer Lucid Competition - Day 12 - Part 2

A familiar dizzying sensation signaled a successful transition.

Before anything, I repeated "deeper" to keep anchored. With that done, I floated around again. This movement was a bit difficult to control Next, I looked for any sign of my dream guide's presence, but found none.

For quick points, I dropped sideways to the floor with the intent of phasing through. Due to the aforementioned difficulty, it took a very long time to reach there. Furthermore, I couldn't pass through at all. Luckily, I remembered Sivason's technique for correcting this. I placed my hand flat on the floor, and waited patiently until it partially phased. Then, I continued with the rest of me. This felt much like if one plunged themselves within a vast field of static electricity.

Seems I got taken to a grey void. I realized my left eye was closing shut against my will. Even trying to pry it open with both hands did little good. Figured this had to do with my sleeping sideways this time.

I awaken between trying to correct these visuals.

      Scrap Group 1

Adrian and I are discussing Duelyst. He feels the Mogwai's (incorrectly referred to as Wind Runner) card drawing ability is overpowered. I claim the Spelljammer is a superior choice, despite her drawing extra cards for both players.
